Massage Envy

The ONLY reason this is place is getting any stars is because of my massage therapist, Holly. I had been with her for years and followed her to this place. Big mistake! I got charged for an appointment they canceled. After multiple phone calls with them where at one point a person told me on the phone that they had multiple people get charged for things when they shouldnt have. Yet, they did not offer any refunds and stated I should file a claim with my bank who denied my claims because I did not have any physical evidence of what occurred.I submitted to cancel my membership back in July and was told it would take 20 days to process so imagine my surprise and frustration to see a charge on my card this morning from Massage Envy. Based off other reviews for this location and others, it looks like I am not the only one with this issue.I tried calling to speak to a manager and was informed one would not be in until 2pm. So, I have written to corporate stating that if this issue is not resolved I will be taking legal action.The business practices of this place are completely unethical.

Luis is the absolute best!! He is very kind and knows exactly what he is doing. I left my appointment and immediately made an appointment fir my wife and will definitely refer Luis to everyone I know.

The massage therapists I saw here were great: Melissa, Amanda, and Charita. But they wont cancel my membership. I filled out the form and submitted it as instructed. Every time I call I get told a different story. At this point I am consulting with an attorney because of the differing things I have been told. Go anywhere else.

This was my first experience at massage envy, I booked an appointment with Sarah Beth, and she is so talented!!! She was so nice, and I have never felt so relaxed I cant wait to book another appointment with her.

I have the worst experience in this place, there was an old lady her name was Sally , she screamed at me because I put my purse on the wrong place and she took my purse with angry attitude I was shaking , also she start doing massage and looks like she didn’t know either, I told her I need bathroom, because I was not comfortable anymore I was scared from her , after I stand I run outside with only my blazer on it and just wanted to go as fast as I can. 0 star horrible experience 😞😞

I have had a catch in my back for weeks…nothing had helped. My sister gave me her gift card for a message and when I called for an appointment they suggested Chandler. He explained everything down to what muscle was hurting! He made me feel extremely comfortable and the conversation and communication just flowed! I have never had a massage from someone so professional and knowledgeable! And I walked out of there with NO pain in my back/shoulder! I’m seriously considering getting a membership all due to him and his impressive ability to listen and focus on the problem and his easy going personality and communication skills! Extremely pleasant experience from the time I walked in the door and met Gabby at the desk! I highly suggest this location! If I could give 10 stars I would!

This place is a joke ! They will charge you membership and if you have few credits and freeze your account they will charge you $21 a month because they have to make money is the words the front desk used to tell me why I keep having charges on my account ! Management needs 10 days to call back .

I came with a friend and she didn’t get to have a massage and had to wait for me to get done. The only good thing about my experience at this location was my massage and my massage therapist, Melissa. Shout out to her! On the other hand, there’s no management or empathy for staff shortages. The therapist my friend was scheduled with was a no call no show. His name is Mike. You would think the staff would ask if we both wanted to reschedule because we RODE TOGETHER and they knew that. So her time was wasted. Very rude and unprofessional in my opinion.

I made an appointment for an hour massage. When I showed up to my appointment I was taken back to the waiting room. I continued to waiting for a while. Finally someone came back and told me they couldn’t find my massage therapist and they were not answering their phone. I am beyond frustrated. All they did to fix the issue was give me credit on my account to come back. The employee, Mike, who was a no call no show should be fired! I have been through so much this year including the very recent death of a parent and was really looking forward to this. Seriously beyond frustrated and just want to cry right now. I’ll never be returning.

I had the BEST massage of my life by Eric, he was fantastic! He listened to my areas I told him to focus on, he provided the right amount of pressure and continued to focus his attention on my areas of tightness that desperately needed relief!!!! I’m looking forward to my next massage already and I just left!!!

I would give 0 stars if I could. This is definitely the WORST experience I have ever had at a massage envy! First of all, the day before this incident they cancelled my appointment 1 hour before I arrived. I was already on my way. I was gracious enough to reschedule with them, when I came back for the appointment, they didn’t have a wedge pillow to accommodate my GERD which upon my booking I explained and specifically asked to be accommodated. I cannot lay flat on my back my head has to be elevated. I asked to be rescheduled so that I can go home and get my pillow but was told by Angie the so called district manager who LACKS COMPASSION, EMPATHY, CUSTOMER SERVICE… I would need to pay for half the service regardless. Despite being told I would pay for half the service, she immediately charged my card on file for the full service and not for half service that she said …so apparently she is a LIAR as well. I confirmed the price yesterday with the representative and was told because I am in the system my 60 minute massage would be $63 and a 90 minute $113. This is totally unacceptable, unfair, bad service and bad for business!!!!! I left literally in tears and this woman could care less! I will not only dispute with my credit card company but will be contacting everyone I possibly can with Massage envy to let them know about this incident! This is not the way to treat customers.

My first visit and it was amazing. I booked with Holly and she was so incredibly sweet and attentive. She listened to what I needed and understood the areas that I needed to target, as well as which areas were really sensitive (like my shins). Would highly recommend this location, and especially Holly!

Nicole has a terrible attitude and is very rude to clients. Do not recommend her as a therapist. She is rough and does not take pride in her work. Everyone else has been great.

Let me tell you... this was not a giggles and facials and bridesmaids visit. Poor Luis had to use every bit of his board certification on my disaster of a back and shoulders!Ive been a hot mess for months, arguably years. Ive seen doctors and specialists, had x-rays and MRIs. No one has been able to help me like Luis did in one hour. It was as painful as going to intensive physical therapy, and Im still sore today... but I can already feel substantial difference in my body.I thought my pain originated in my low back, but it was almost entirely around my shoulder blades. Luis found my problem area and carefully worked on it with surgical precision. Why massage therapy isnt considered a legitimate healthcare practice I will never know!I will absolutely be back in a couple of weeks. Luis is amazing and if you need serious work done, hes your person!

Patricia at St. Matthews was the absolute best massage therapist I have ever had. I came into the spa with my shoulders to my ears from chronic stress. I left the massage feeling like a completely different person. I will recommend her and this location to everyone I know!

I have been a member for several years. Within the past few months, I had 5 massage appointments canceled. Twice I received the call as I was on my way to the appointment. The other cancelations were also done the day of the appointment. I asked to cancel my membership after the 4th cancelation. When I checked if the cancelation had gone through, I was told that it was not on file and I had to fill out the paperwork again. I asked to please be refunded for the remaining credits because I could not continue to arrange my schedule around appointments that repeatedly get canceled. I was told this was not possible. I was not offered any sort of reimbursement or complimentary service for my wasted time and frustration. I had to use my credits within 60 days. I made an appointment for a massage and completely forgot about it due to a family situation. After ME canceling 5 appointments, I would think they could forgive my one time of not being able to keep my appointment. They still used my credit. It seems extremely hypocritical that ME canceled on me repeatedly but wont allow me to use my credit because I missed one appointment.

Cody is very intuitive and gives a fantastic deep tissue massage!

Nicole was phenomenal. I have a shoulder that needs deep tissue work and causes me pain daily. She also worked on my lower back, as I struggle to sleep through the pain. She is now a mainstay in my routine.

Staff has absolutely no clue what they’re doing. Massage was a 3/10.

If I could leave 0 stars I would! The massage therapist was great! Very professional and gave a good massage. However, the customer service (or lack thereof) from the front desk staff left a lot to be desired. Check-out was a complete and epic failure, with not even a slight attempt to provide the bare minimum or even a mediocre level customer service. I have been to all of the Massage Envys locally and have even visited other locations while traveling and I can say with 100% certainty that this was our worst customer service experience and we will NEVER return to the St. Matthews location.

Every massage therapist who has worked with me at Massage Envy has done an excellent massage, whether it is for pain relief or simply for relaxation. Kimberly was the latest therapist I saw, and her techniques were wonderful. The staff is friendly and the facility is clean and modern. I have been a member for 8 years and it is money well-spent!

Kimberly was amazing! I felt wonderful after my massage & still feel fantastic today. I cant wait until my next massage with her. I highly recommend Kimberly. Perfect pressure, amazing technique, and she is an outstanding massage therapist! Call Massage Envy St Matthews today!

Love Massage Envy! Been going there for a couple years for massages and facials. The staff at front desk and the therapists are all very good. Its my happy place!

Kelcie is by far the most amazing esthetician and spirit I’ve ever had the chance to work with. She also gives amazing tips to keep your skin on the right path between facials.

Massage was scheduled at 10:30am. Arrived at 10:22. In the tranquility room by 10:25. Didn’t get taken back until 10:35. Therapist didn’t start the appointment until 10:47. My 60 minute massage still ended promptly at 11:30 without any explanation as to why I lost almost 10 minutes of the time I paid for (as the actual massage time is supposed to be 50 minutes). Will not be retuning to this location. I’ve had much better experiences at the Middletown location and will be recommending that one from now on.***UPDATE (OCTOBER 2023)***I have gone a year without using this location due to my experience last time. I decided to give it a try again today to see if things have changed. My massage was scheduled for 3 PM. I went out into the lobby at 3:08 after not being told anything, and was only told my masseuse was “running behind”. Came back out at 3:16, and was just offered a cancellation. Did not get taken back and started until 3:28. This location is an absolute joke. Please avoid at all costs.

HORRIBLE customer service. I’ve never had a worse experience. Will not return to massage envy or recommend this location to anyone.

I received one of the best massages Ive had in a long time! Christine is fantastic! I absolutely love her attention to the knots & takes the time to really knead them out. I will definitely be going back to see her! Thanks Christine!The staff is very friendly & I appreciate the fact that masks are still required inside their business. As an immunocompromised client, this makes me feel comfortable & confident in returning for more services. Thank you so much for your continued effort to protect our community.

I have been getting massages and facials regularly at this location for several months now. Mandi does my massages and I hesitate to refer you all to her because I selfishly don’t want her to book up before I can schedule my next appointments. She is absolutely wonderful. She is attentive and focuses on problem areas very diligently. She offers suggestions for improvements for problem areas. Mandi is personable and has a great attitude! Cherie has been doing my facials and is wonderful and incredibly knowledgeable! She always makes sure I am comfortable and aware of what she’s doing to my skin. We have been working on a plan to get my skin in the place I want it. If I could, I would go get a facial from Cherie everyday!

I’ve been a member for 14 years and the staff and therapists are amazing! Eric, Adam and Gerald really listen to your needs and get to the issue you need addressed. I love the online appointment app also!

As it turned out, my appointment with Eric didnt happen. I am a member who pays the $75 monthly. I showed up, got checked in apparently successfully by the desk clerk, and waited like normal for my time. After almost 45 minutes, I went to the front desk to ask about my appointment and was told Eric wasnt there and that the online app should not have allowed my appointment in the first place. I understand that things can happen, but I would think that the front desk clerk would know if Eric was not there in the first place and why would it let her check me in? On top of that, no apology from her! She just sat down there and looked on her phone. Nice customer service St. Matthews! 👎👎

So far, have had a facial and massage at Massage Envy. I have really enjoyed both services. I had Julie for the massage and she really listened to me regarding a concern I had with my hip. She gently stretched it out, which made the hip feel so much better. And it continued to feel better a week after the appt. I had Annette for the facial and she was amazing. She listened to my concerns regarding my face and gave me some recommendations on how to use products I already had more efficiently. I definitely will be back.

My boyfriend and I scheduled massages for Valentine’s Day a month in advance. Called the morning of and double checked we were good for two massages. We came in early and are told one of the massage therapists canceled and we should have received a phone call. We didn’t, due to an error in the phone number they tried to use which they owned up to. As an apology they offered me a free upgrade with my massage since only one of us could be seen. The massage was really great, but the lack of communication was pretty evident because my therapist was unaware of the upgrade and I didn’t end up receiving it.All in all, a decent experience and reasonably priced, but communication between all staff members could use some improvement.

I had a message scheduled for 12:00, which had been canceled twice prior due to massage therapist not showing up. I was told that I would get an upgrade because they canceled at the last minute. I did not receive the upgrade and what was worse was my 60 massage was at the most 40 minutes. They count the time that you walk into the room and describe to your therapist what it is that you want then the time it takes you to get undressed. I would say a good 10 to 15 minutes. After getting dressed, talking to the girls behind the counter, paid for my service and found a seat to wait for my husbands massage to be over, I looked at my watch and it was 12:50. On top of that, I paid 30 more than last year. Highly disappointed to say the least. I will not be going back and I hope this review stops other from making the same choice that I did.

I rate my service with Sarah a 5 because she was very professional, she listened to my concerns, and gave me a massage accordingly. It was very relaxing and she was a very pleasant and punctual person. I totally enjoyed the experience and I cant wait to come back next month!

I really enjoyed my visit to Massage Envy. This was my second time there and I felt much more relaxed, knowing what to expect. Eric is a great guy, does a great job, and it was good to get to know him better. 5 stars

Amanda was great- she focused on the areas that needed the most attention based on our initial communication. She gave one of the best neck and shoulder massages I’ve ever had. Highly recommend!

Patricia is such a wonderful massage therapist! I don’t know how to explain it but she reaches certain parts within your muscles in unexpected/unique ways. I mean that in the best way in that it’s not your standard/basic massage. She even goes above and beyond to give personalized recommendations and feedback to her clients without being asked. She is great!

Nell is one of your best therapist. She always displays a friendly professional and caring attitude. She is consistently gives a great massage. I would recommend her to everyone I know but I am selfish and want to keep it under wrap so she doesn’t get too busy 😁!

Eric ground out knots I didnt know I had. Highly recommend! Keep it brief at the counter- professional and courteous staff, but again, professional (cool and business like in demeanor- NOT a bubbly spa environment).

I saw Tim for the first time because he was recommended by a friend. I am pregnant, so this was a prenatal massage. This is my third prenatal massage I have had thus far, and it was the best by far. He was very professional with great communication and he really listened to what I needed done and focused on those areas. He made sure I was comfortable and satisfied. I will definitely be booking with him again.

First time with Sara Beth and I love her technique! She really zeros in on the right spots and the tension melts away. It was also my first time getting a facial with Kelsey and loved it. Ive already booked a return visit!Update: Saw Mandi and Kelsey last night and it was awesome. I hurt my back lifting something to heavy and was in a lot of pain and Mandi helped tremendously. No pain this morning! I also appreciate their mask requirements.

Kelcie did a facial for me and it was wonderful. She took her time and I left with a glow. Will definitely see her again.

Ive had several prenatal messages, and the one I received from Chelsea was the best. I wish I would have found her sooner! I plan to book another massage with her post delivery. Chelsea was professional, friendly, and really worked out all the tension in my body. I felt completely relaxed and comfortable during the massage. Thank you Chelsea for exceeding my expectations and providing me the best prenatal massage!

By far my favorite location in KY! I have visited almost every therapist and not once have I been disappointed. Everyone is friendly and knowledgeable about the muscles in the body (Mya, Christine, Jen, Chelsea, and others). I love that first work out after resetting!You guys are rocking it out in St Mathews!! This was actually my first professional massage and it was amazing. I’ve known for years I carry a lot of tension in my neck, back, and shoulders and she definitely worked worked out all of the knots. It feels like she took 10 years of aches away that fast! Myia did an excellent job and will definitely be back for another soon!

Scheduled a massage over a week out for my girlfriends birthday. Had it all set up for her... day of - thirty minutes before the appointment I called to make sure everything was set and the desk person who answered said.. ohh wait..im sorry - ur massage therapist got hurt and cant do the massage.. We live 45 minutes out of town and she was 10 min from the store when she had to turn around.. ill never go back!!!!

I arrived 10 minutes late for my scheduled appointment with Sarah due to traffic. After arriving, I checked in, met Sarah, used the bathroom and was shown to a massage room. She asked what brought me in today and I stated I was a nurse, did a lot of heavy lifting and just wanted a relaxing massage. Her eyes went wide when I said the word nurse. She then began asking what I wanted to focus on less, because I was late, so I would only receiving a 40 minute massage. 50 minute massage? Sure, I was, in fact, late due to traffic, but 40 minutes? She proceeded to go on and on about how she wasnt allowed to give a longer massage, she had another client after me and so on. It was obvious the word nurse scared her and she did not want to massage me. So I said no, I would leave. She seemed relieved and walked me to the front desk. I informed them I was shocked by how rudely I was being treated and that I would call corporate to cancel my membership. There were four people there, not one person apologized, not one person offered an explanation for Sarahs rudeness. The lady closest to the door, simply said Ok. I would like this months membership fee returned and my membership cancelled. If this is how Massage Envy treats nurses, I will be sure to let the nursing community know we are seen as subhuman because we dare to take care of your loved ones.

This was my first time visiting this Massage Envy but not my first massage. I was not pleased as my appointment was at 1, however I was not called back until 1:10. My massage was over in what seemed like 15 minutes, though I don’t know the exact amount of time it was. I scheduled a 30 minute session and expected to get 30 minutes, but this was not the case. Also, the massage wasn’t the best either. I’m not sure if she was in a hurry, but, it was unacceptable.Update: Received a call from Tim and he was great. He explained to me why my session went the way it did and was really concerned as to figuring out how he could make me happy. We came to a resolution and I am very appreciative of that.

I love my massage therapist - she is wonderful & Ive been a client for several years. My only complaint is that it can be noisy, which is distracting from my relaxation. Doors opening & closing nearby, people talking, etc. can be heard over the soft music on a regular basis. Overall the location is very professional & sanitary & Covid-safe procedures are in place.

Love this place. Christy is amazing. I had been having some issues with my leg and arm for months. I seriously went to her 1 time and felt like a new person. Now I go back for maintenance.Also, Cherie knows her business as far as skin. I fell that she is very knowledgeable and helpful. I will go back to her for skincare.

Memberships are an absolute scam, if you build up your account and cancel your membership, they charge you $25 a month or you loose all your money that is in your account. Ive talked to the Manager and she acted like I was crazy for being upset...

The staff is excellent. They are courteous, knowledgeable, and attentive. Every massage therapist is different, so I tried a few until I found the right one for me. Im not going to give out that persons name because it is already hard enough to get on her/his schedule. I dont want YOU to take my favorite appointment time.

We had a late appt so that may have impacted our situation, but it was a lackluster experience. The check in ladies seemed apathetic to our arrival. My masseuse was aggressive with his massage and there was no discussion over what sort of massage I was looking to have. He also seemed inexperienced and the massage was unlike any Ive ever had. I felt worse at the end of it. My initial thought was to renew my membership after the visit, but, now, Im having second thoughts

If I could give zero stars I would. Ive been cancelled on twice in the last 2 weeks. They call about an hour and a half before your appointment to cancel. And the second time they cancelled they also charged my card as if I cancelled the appointment. Still working on getting that taken care of. Go anywhere else if you can.

Getting an appointment is way too difficult. Members should have preferences. If this doesn’t improve I’ll drop my membership.My therapist was wonderful. Very skilled ptofessional and pleasant.

This location is well managed and staff are friendly and courteous. I enjoy the employees so much I linger and chat for a few minutes when it isn’t a peak busy time. They are quick to answer questions and accomodate my needs. I know I’m going to receive utmost care during my visit and leave feeling better than when I entered. Reminder texts are always sent so I won’t forget my appts and pre-visit covid questionnaires are quick and ensure everyone’s protection. Facility is clean and well stocked. Enhancements are easily visible and upgrades and promotions offered regularly. I personally enjoy the relaxing music and optional massage table heating during my appointments. With the cost of massages today and inflation, membership allows for reduced rates while maintaining value. Give em a try, you’ll love the service! I recommend asking about modalities offered before booking your service.Best to you!

I got the full 90 minutes, usually lose about 10 before and 10 after. She also concentrated on the areas we discussed and went back to the same areas to finish up. Massages are therapeutic for me so the therapist listening to my needs is essential.

The massage was wonderful and much needed. The massage therapist was very professional and did an outstanding job. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The deep tissue massage is what I received and highly recommend if you workout alot as I do. I will be going back. I could have fallen asleep on the table.

Nell, the massage therapist I schedule all my appointments with and has for the past few years is absolutely the best. Her professional knowledge, skill and attention to requests for emphasis on particular needs makes her the preferred massage therapist! Second to none!

I was visiting KY and my friend set up the visit. The staff was nice and friendly, from front office to technician. I had a facial which also included hand, arm and neck massage. Everything was very pleasant relaxing. It is something I would do again. Thanks Kelcie.

Its possible the employees or even management has been changed since the previous reviews. The customer service is great at this location! I have been a member for a little over a year, and never had an issue scheduling or rescheduling. All staff members Ive come in contact with have been courteous and helpful.Due to my work schedule, I have switched between therapists quite a bit. Every one has been accommodating and made sure to find out exactly what I would like prior to starting.If you are looking for a friendly, convenient and inexpensive massage therapy center, Massage Envy will suit those needs quite well.

This was a great first experience. I have never had a facial before. So I wouldnt know if there were any mistakes. My consultant was very nice and explained everything!!! That I appreciated.

My husband surprised me with a massage for my birthday and what should have been an amazing experience turned to be the complete opposite. Front desk must pride themselves on embarrassing customers.After a mediocre massage experience, (was walked back 7 mins late and completed 7 mins early, lazy massage, did not get my complete time and yes I factored undressing/dressing time) an incompetent lady at the front desk felt the need to humiliate me in front of guests insinuating that my birthday gift was not paid for. Instead of doing her due diligence and checking the information on file, she continued to carry on as though I committed a fraudulent act.Definitely wanted to give Massage Envy a chance again, since I was a member years ago. Absolutely will not be back. Deplorable experience.

High last minute cancelation rate by staff. Poor customer service. Manager who doesnt understand it is harder to find a new client than to keep one of 12 yearsI see your response.... would be happy to discuss in more detail with you, but not sure how to get ahold of you. Welcomed immediately. Friendly helpful staff. My massage with Adam was spot on! He worked out my target points I requested and I felt so much better when I left.

I have been a member of Massage Envy for 9 years and my experience has always been very pleasant. Eric has been my massage therapist for most of that time and I stay with him because he is an excellent therapist and a fine person.

Ance is the best!! The massage is always so thorough. Ance works out all the kinks in my shoulders & finishes with the best neck stretch/massage that is to die for!! I am a dental hygienist, so I do a lot of repetitive movements at work & he always gets me feeling so much better!!If you don’t want to be a little sore the next day I would recommend seeing a different person, but if you want a deep tissue massage it’s Ance 100%! They are very professional & always make me feel so comfortable. Love love love him!!

Arrived on time filled out the paper work, they took me back to the waiting room area . waited 20-25 minutes and nobody came to get me, at this point I decided they wasted enough of my time so I left. front desk people had no explanation on why nobody came out.

I visited the website then called to try schedule an appointment for a prenatal massage for myself and a massage for my fiance. I understand them not having any availability for one, maybe two weeks due to timing (COVID restrictions being lifted and more people feeling comfortable coming out). But I was told they do not have any availability for over a month! The woman I spoke to was very rude and acted as if me calling was an inconvenience to her. I understand they are very busy but a potential customer (actually no one) calling to schedule an appointment should ever be met with that tone! When I asked if the employee knows if another location may have available appointments sooner she rudely said honey I dont know you just have to call a different location. Again, I understand being busy but I do not understand being treated the way I was. After reading some of the reviews its clear that Massage Envy location may benefit from some customer service training or new employees.

Sara Beth was very attentive and listened to everything I told her I needed from my massage and she delivered it. Everyone made me feel welcome and business was handled professionally. Thank you for Wonderful experience.

Both massage therapists were amazing. We would highly recommend either. Nakeyae and Eric are very knowledgeable and do a wonderful job.

Ive only had the best customer service from them, Audrey in particular has been really helpful. The massages can leave a bit to be desired but in my opinion if you take the time to find a therapist that works for you and communicate well what youre looking for they can be just as good as anywhere else too. Monthly memberships are fair; theyre very helpful in bundling sessions youve missed and working with your schedule. Overall I would recommend anyone at least give them a try.

My massage therapist was ADAM. It was the best massage that I’ve ever had. I’m certainly going to go back to him. He was confident, experienced & always made sure of my comfort.

Rude staff, my original masseuse said she doesnt massage men even though Ive been on the books for months. They started late and then they hurt me during my massage, they created a problem with my leg and now every time walk I have serious pain.

Kelcie was very professional and kind. It was my first time getting the type of facial I selected, and she made sure every step of the way I knew what she was doing. I will definitely come back and see Kelcie again. Highly recommend!!!

Yesterday I was treated to Kimberly for a massage and I did not realize how much I needed that! I’ve been searching for someone I liked since John had to leave (I still miss him) and Kimberly is it! Great pressure, very professional, and so kind.

I had an appointment for microdermabrasion..price was high ($110) even as a member but I thought I would treat myself. Technician kelcie did a great job..my problem isn’t with her.Here’s my problem: it says 60 min. I got there early (snowing that day) …entire treatment 20-25. That’s it. Nothing else…. So I signed up for 60 min and got 20-25. Not an offer for anything else. This is WAY to expensive for a short treatment. I won’t do that again

I’ve been getting deep tissue massages for a few years now and Sarah is one of the best I have found. I’m not gonna lie, it hurts! But after my first massage with her, I can already tell a difference in my mobility and quality of sleep.

Even though it was my first ever massage experience anywhere , Jess was great? She was very comforting and sweet and is amazing at her job!

We didnt use our credits for several months, so we wanted to cancel our membership. Side note: We kept getting put with people we didnt request that werent very good, last minute because they went on vacation... that happened twice. We ended up going to another location. We got busy with life and wasnt using the credits we were paying each month for... so we decided to cancel it. I called right as I was charged again and asked to cancel and refund the most recent charge because we werent going to use it. I understand that its my fault I didnt use the other past credits for a few months, but when you want to stop it, they wont. I wasnt asking to be refunded for the several months I didnt use... I get that... I was asking not to be charged again. I just wanted the membership to stop charging me for future stuff and the one that just came out, because we werent going to use it. They tell you basically you signed a contract and cant get that refunded and your membership wont stop until you officially cancel through some form and blah blah blah. You cant call to cancel if you ever want to and they wont stop your membership when you ask. It shouldnt be that hard especially if you never used the credits. I mean they are out nothing. Its free money. They say you have to fill out some phantom form they never send you to cancel. Ive had to request the form several times now and still dont have it. Then they just charge your card $230 (when your membership is only $100 a month for some reason) randomly after you call to cancel. Then make you call all over to a place (that doesnt answer) to fix it... problem is that they never answer to actually fix it. Dont sign up for the membership.. they will screw you and try to make it difficult to ever cancel.

Been there in the last 6 months and had no issues at all. I signed up for a package, and didnt use any of my massages for months, now I have about 6 massages that I can use. Maybe there have been changes in the 2 years that the other reviews were made, but Ive been to Middletown as well, and both were nice. $60mo for 1hr deep tissue is a deal if you ask me.

This was my First Visit with Sara. She had a Great understanding of the trouble areas I told her about. She did a Wonderful Job of relieving my aches & pains I was aware of & those I didn’t know.

I mostly go to the St Matthews massage envy location in Louisville Kentucky and I almost always see Adam. Since starting my massage sessions with him over 2 years ago I have had so much relief from my daily pain. I have a muscle disease, spasmatic torticollis and it causes spasms, excruciating pain and large hard knots in my muscles. From the very first visit Adam has always taken the time to find out exactly where my troubled areas are and will spend a lot of time on those specific areas. He has always been extremely professional, is an amazing massage therapist and very easy to talk to and makes me feel extremely comfortable. He will ask a lot of questions trying to know more about my disease and trying to help with any relief he can give me. I have seen other massage therapists at this location as well as the jeffersontown location but I only go to someone else if Im trying to get a last-minute appointment and Adam doesnt have any openings. I have gone to numerous therapists that wont really listen to my concerns or where exactly my pain is and they will just do an upper body massage how they prefer. There have been many times with other massage therapists that I will leave in more pain and feeling bruised. But I have never felt like this with Adam. He constantly asks if the pressure is okay and really goes out of his way to work on specific areas that are bothering me more than others. I honestly could not give Adam enough praise for the wonderful job that he does and how much pain relief I receive during and after massage appointments with him. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a massage therapist. He is by far the best and as I stated earlier, I have seen numerous massage therapists at massage envy as well as other massage therapists for different companies and of the several dozen therapists Ive seen over the years none of them even come close to doing the wonderful amazing job that Adam does.

My facial with Cherie was wonderful! And my massage with Adam was the perfect pressure for the entire 90 minutes. The skincare products also smell lovely. Such a relaxing and restorative experience.

Ance was my massage therapist and he was wonderful. He has healing hands and great knowledge of the body. He took the time needed in areas that needed more attention with the inclusivity of the surrounding muscle groups. He was kind enough to turn my music up as there was a loud speaking customer in a near by room. I was able to relax fully and meditate deeply otherwise. You aren’t able to request a room away from the aestheticians at this location. I had a chemical peel at this location earlier this year and had a great experience with them as well. I HIGHLY recommend ANCE in St Matthew’s and GRETCHEN at Springhurst.

The staff of this location are very nice and friendly! The place is clean and great environment! Pam, the manager, is awesome and very accommodating! My massage therapist, John, is super awesome! Definitely reccomend him as well as my esthetician, Virginia, who is also very knowledgeable and gives great facials!

Husband liked his massage ok. Place played the same music on repeat which was very annoying. Both bathrooms were dirty. Do not like that the price jumps 2x what the first costs unless you sign up for a membership. Also found it wierd that she massages the feet first and then the face... Can definately tell is it a franchise place. The McDonalds of massage places.

This location wont pay enough to attract workers so that they can fully staff.The people working are having to cover multiple extra duties and get no bonus pay for it.The owner(s) aresurely to blame.Otherwise, nice clean store with good service and food prep under difficult circumstances.

This was one of the most remarkable experiences thus far. From the time entering to exiting it was excellent experience. Adam was so good with recognizing my tension areas and really focus on my needs. He was very professional and caring.

This place used to be reasonable. However, they now charge you a rate of $95/hr if you have previously visited there. I dont know about you, but that is highway robbery for a massage. They dont do anything special. In fact, they tried to charge me an extra $10 to use a different kind of lotion and hot towels! I would visit a local Massage Therapist and keep your money in the community. They charge a lot less and give you much better service. I received a massage from here never imagining that it would be that high. I thought it must have been a mistake! Never going back. I will give my money to a dedicated Therapist that keeps their business in the community.

EVERY TIME we schedule a appointment at Massage Envy St. Matthews either my Husband or my appointment gets canceled‼️‼️‼️Then they wanted to reschedule our next appointment 7 weeks out.We have been members for 10 years but can’t even get them to keep our appointments. They want our money every month but don’t want to honor their services.

The receptionist who answered the phone needs to be retrained or have someone else answer the phone. I called to see if there was any same day availability. The call lasted 20 seconds. She didn’t offer to see when the next availability was or give the option of being put on the cancellation list. That type of customer service alone told me the type service I would receive if I went there, unprofessional, poor quality, and rushed.

Eric is fabulous in every way! There is nothing I would ask to be changed. He is extremely professional/friendly and never has left me dissatisfied with my treatment. A+

I usually visit the JTown location, but got in to see Myia at St Matthews and she was incredible! She worked out a lot of the stress that I carry in my neck and shoulders, and I left feeling refreshed and ready for the upcoming craze at work! I can finally relax my shoulders, and not feel so much pain! Huge thanks to Myia for an amazing experience!

Nakeyae is the best massage therapist I’ve ever had. She is very in tune to muscle anatomy and performs excellent deep tissue technique to relieve tension and muscle strain. I try to make visits with her a regular part of my self care.

Made an appt for my only off weekend for a massage for 2. Was told if I didnt cancel at least 24 hrs before the appt I would be charged the full price. Woke up to a voicemail the morning of stating a therapist had called in sick and I needed to reschedule but my friend could come in and get her massage. First off if I schedule the 2 massage package I expect to get 2 massages at that time not 2 separate massages. I wasnt offered anything for the inconvenience and it was too late to make an appt anywhere else. Its convenient for Massage Envy to charge you full price if you cancel with in 24 hrs of the appt but its no ramifications when they cancel on you the morning of and throw off your whole day.

Had a great massage here with Ance. I used to be a member of massage of envy but left because of the contract is unattractive. If they ever offers no contract membership Ill consider it again. Ance did a great job and Ill ask for him on my next visit.

Not happy with the policies at this club, I don’t offend miss appointments and at my last club if you missed one every so often and called even the same day they would not penalize you. My wife needed to go to the hospital today and I called but nope they are going to hit me with the full charge. I now going to cancel my membership thanks to them

If you like deep trigger point massage. Naekaya is the only person to see. I hope I spelled her name correctly. I have been in PT fior 3 weeks and still couldnt turn my neck all the way. She hit one trigger point and i have full extension.

Would like to suggest that staff and clients in the hallways during change overs be urged to whisper. People who are still in their service receiving massage are distracted by loud voices and audible conversations. Thank you.
