Sanctuary Massage and Spa

I floated out of Sanctuary on little clouds on my soft feet after receiving the Revive treatment with Lydia. The space is soothing and gorgeous, elevated by an exceptional, kind, warm practitioner. Ive received bodywork in many ways for over 17 years and Lydias work brought new sensations and relief which is such a gift.

Lydia was amazing and listened to what I needed and gave me prob the best massage I have ever had. Perfect level of medium to hard I needed but with a relaxing and calming flow which made it perfect. The salon is tucked behind the main strip which makes it even more relaxing. Salon was very clean, smelled great, calming, front desk was great. Great experience, I’ll be back!

Today was my first time coming here and it was amazing! My boyfriend and I got a 90 minute couples massage and we were both very satisfied. It was very clean and the greenery decor is super cute! The heated massage tables were also nice. Both massage therapists did a great job. We will definitely be back!

My massage was very good. I opted for the 30 min massage and it was just what I needed. The receptionist was very welcoming the moment I arrived. The entire establishment is very nicely decorated and relaxing.

The Mind, Body, and Soul massage is fantastic!! Hot stones and a foot scrub are included with this massage. The massage therapists are very skilled and do a great job helping to relieve muscle tension and pain in my body. I leave there feeling so relaxed and calm. Highlyrecommend!

This was by far one of the best presents I got!! Lisa is absolutely skilled!! This was the most peaceful experience Ive ever had. I had so many knots in my back, and she got out every single one. My body feels absolutely amazing. The scalp massage was so relaxing and last but not least, the Reiki session was amazing. I literally felt my body get lighter. She spoke so much life into me. I feel like my energy was balanced and Im finally at peace and feeling my best !! Hands down the best place to come!!

I saw Karen Smith for a massage and a cleansing facial massage. She was fantastic - asked for feedback throughout about the amount of pressure, etc. and made me feel comfortable expressing what I was needing that day. She also identified something she was seeing that was related to an area of pain/concern for me, and based on her observation, I am now able to address the root cause of some of the pain I was experiencing.The overall atmosphere here was great & staff was super friendly. Ill definitely be back!

I’ve gotten massages at Sanctuary a few times and have had a great experience each time. The staff have always been warm and welcoming and do their best to make you comfortable including offering water and teas. The ambience is very relaxing and I always leave feeling rejuvenated. My most recent session was a massage and a facial with Megan, and she was absolutely wonderful! I would highly recommend Sanctuary Massage.

I love Sactuary! I started going here when I was a student because they offered a student discount which I thought was super considerate. I continue to go whenever I can and recommend everyone I know to come here. Olivia is awesome, and she seems to always know when to engage in chit chat and when to let me quietly sink into my Zen. Also, my partner (who had never had a massage before) raved about his experience with Sarah Beth. Everything is extremely clean, organized, calming, professional, and safe.

My experience at Sanctuary Massage and Spa was incredible. Ive gone to chain massage places before, but wanted to try something more local to see if there was a difference. Ill never go back to a chain massage place again. Loved the relax environment that was created as soon as you walked into the door. Jordan was my assigned specialist and they were amazing. Did a brief intake and made sure to focus more on the areas that were trouble spots for me. Jordan explained what they were going to before starting the massage and I was so relaxed and enjoyed getting pressure points released that I actually dozed off for a bit. I went to Olivia a couple years back for a full body massage, and it was amazing! I’m a college athlete, so I constantly have muscle soreness and joint pain. I made myself an appointment after my volleyball season in hopes to help relax my body, and Olivia did just that! I filled out a sheet prior to the massage which asked about my specific areas of pain, so I felt like the massage was really catered towards me. I also really appreciated the student discount. The facilities were very nice and clean, and I felt super comfortable the whole time. Would definitely come back.

I have been here multiple times since 2021 (once after a funeral). Its always a calming experience and a peaceful atmosphere! The massage therapists are knowledgeable AND professional. Once, I booked a reflexology foot massage and when I got there I wanted it to be changed to a hand massage (I work with my hands often) and they were able to accommodate. I will definitely be back soon!

Sanctuary is where I went for my very first massage and it was life changing! From the moment you walk in the environment is so inviting and relaxing. I had a 60 minute pregnancy massage with therapist Nicole Woods and could not have been more pleased with the experience. The receptionist welcomed me with pregnancy safe tea options and refreshments while I waited and then Nicole was extremely sensitive to my different areas of discomfort and comfort level due to my pregnancy. It was the best I have felt in the 9 months of pregnancy and I cant wait to go back for my next massage and to try out their other services!

By far the best massage you will get it Louisville! Sanctuary has a variety of masseuses to work with, so finding a time that fits your schedule is easy! Jordan is my personal favorite, they customize the massage to my needs, are able to provide the deep tissue massage for a full 2-hour session, and does an amazing job finding all of my tight muscles and knots to work out!

I felt very welcomed when I walk into my appointment. I had Sarah Cunningham she made me feel very relaxed and less frightened about the pinch nerve I came to see her for. Sarah helped me realize this was not going to be a forever issue. And with her help and PT’s help it was not.I would recommend her to anyone who is out there wondering who do I choose for my appointment? Sarah is very professional as well as personable. I’ve been a faithful client at Sanctuary Massage since the Bardstown Road days and I would gladly follow these fierce women to any location. I started getting massages with Sarah and found them to be invigorating. Fantastic and hilarious conversation. Deep pressure. I consistently left the room ready to take on the world which has become a non-negotiable for me now. I begrudgingly scheduled with Olivia as Sarah began personal leave, but my concerns were quickly abandoned. Olivia is amazing too. She has stellar intuition and seems to understand what experience and interaction I could benefit from each visit, often without me being aware myself. Beyond that, she is brilliant and very willing to share the benefit of her rigorous and detailed research into the industry. I love the business they cultivate and have since enjoyed services from several other providers that they meticulously sourced and hired to contribute to the environment they began.I book with Jordan quite a bit now and holy heck I did not understand what was missing in my life. Jordan has unexpected strength and they know how to get in there and target my most vocal muscles. I have regained flexibility and agility since working with them. More recently I had lash services with Ava and they were, unquestionably, the most thorough lash services I’ve had in Louisville. I shared with her that I kept forgetting I even had lashes on. Not too much glue or too crowded on my eyelid. She made me feel like a queen for my birthday and even added a pop of purple for extra fun.I have laughed and cried with this team. They have supported my mental health and well being far beyond the physical support I initially visited for. I have found more than healing and care in this business, I have found a family of individuals that are committed to providing a wonderful environment and I count down the days till I can visit again.

Was gifted a massage for my birthday last year and had the best deep tissue full body massage by Jordan! The atmosphere was so relaxing and they offered refreshments before and after. Students also get discounted massages (yess) definitely recommend if you’re looking to decompress!

What a refreshing experience! I’m an educator and I always treat myself to a massage during breaks. I had Jordan and it was the perfect amount of pressure and tension relief. The atmosphere is really cute, and a great value for the service. My only tip is it’s hidden from the street, so I got a little lost finding the front door which is down a little alley in a courtyard. However, I will be returning now that I know exactly where to go!

Sanctuary Massage and Spa was just that, a Sanctuary. My massage therapist, Jordan, did a wonderful job getting to know me and my body before the session began and proceeded to give a wonderful, full-body massage. The building itself is very nice and contributed to my ability to relax as well!

Jordan was amazing! From the beginning, to going over which areas I wanted to focus time on, to knowing and feeling which areas of tension were there after they began working, the experience overall was great. Jordan offered some stretching exercises during and incorporated them which was a great addition. During a stretch, I felt my lower back physically release the problem area in my hip flexor! I can not wait to go back. Thank you Jordan!!

I have been dealing with hip pain for quite a while. I read Megans bio and thought maybe she can help me. She truly has magic hands and works my hip flexor each time I see her (even if it hurts a bit). The pain is less and less and I have Megan to thank for the improvement. The Sanctuary is a quiet and peaceful place, I always look forward to my visit.

Heather is spectacular! She worked all my muscles immensely ( I have a very labored job and I’m always sore) not only is she great, the staff was very friendly and the salon is beautiful.

WOW! This place is absolutely amazing! I booked a couples massage for my boyfriends birthday, Olivia did mine, Sarah Beth did his and we were both very impressed. The space was beautiful and tranquil, and the ladies very accommodating. I have sciatica, arthritis in my neck/shoulders, and bone spurs on my pelvis/low back area. Ive gotten massages before, and always left feeling good but slightly disappointed. Olivia did NOT disappoint. Best massage Ive ever gotten, and the first time Ive not been in pain for many years. I will be going back ASAP!

I get massages regularly and was gifted a massage at Sanctuary as Im in my 3rd trimester. Lisa was AMAZING and found several knots and places that needed work on my body that my regular therapist has either missed or skipped over while Ive been pregnant. Thank you for still applying pressure and working the tension out even though Im pregnant! I appreciated not being treated like I was fragile and that Lisa was still making sure I was safe and comfortable throughout my 90 minutes. I will definitely be booking again postpartum!!!

I had a 30 minute massage with Olivia and the scalp massage as well. She’s amazing!! Loved her!! She made my first professional massage experience absolutely amazing!! I went in feeling nervous and found out quite quickly there was nothing to be nervous about. The atmosphere was very relaxing with soothing music and dimmed lights and the massage table was very comfy. All in all it was awesome and I can’t wait until next time! Thanks so much Olivia!! 😁

We were in town for an expo at the convention center this past week. My husband wanted to gift me with a massage while he was gone to the expo. He googled a few places, read the reviews, and called to book me a massage here. It was a little hard to find (if you can count consecutive numbers you can figure out where their spot is- I would recommend better signage though). That is the ONLY negative thing I have to say. When I walked in the front door, I was taken back with how BEAUTIFUL the sanctuary is. There is so much greenery, that it was so peaceful. Everything from the decor, the smells, the windows/natural light. It is a gorgeous, lovely place. You can tell that everyone puts their soul into this place. Olivia was my masseuse. She worked WONDERS. My traps have been soooo sore- it’s like she could visualize where my muscles were and completely understands anatomy/musculature.I know reviews are important. And I hope I’ve done them justice. If you’re on the fence about booking here, DO. IT. I’ll be back next year.

I visited the Sanctuary in early March. Its nestled in the neighborhood I grew up in, in a beautiful spot, with lots of natural light. The space is inviting and relaxing, quiet and comforting. With Anita, I had a full body massage with the addition of hot stones, as well as a craniosacral therapy session. My experience was nothing short of relaxing, rejuvenating, and in the case of the craniosacral therapy, extraordinary. 100/10 would recommend to friends, family, enemies, strangers etc.

The very best hands down!!!! Sarah is amazing, you can tell her a spot that hurt and she knows right where to work to take away the pain. I also love the new place. Very warm, classy feel. My mom goes to Olivia and loves her too.

I loved my first experience at Sanctuary Massage and Spa! The atmosphere is really calm and peaceful. I believe Sara Beth Duran was my massage therapists. She was wonderful! Asked questions before the massage and made my experience feel really customized to my needs. I just recently scheduled my second appointment to try their Sweet Feet Relief special. The only downside I would say is that it can be tricky to book appointments if you have really specific times that are needed. Now I know to just rebook when Im there and I know they are working to hire someone else. Even if you have to wait a couple of weeks, it is well worth it!!

Amazing experience that helped relieve tension I dont even fully recognize I had in my neck and shoulders! Will definitely be recommending them to friends, great for a treat yourself day!

This place is fantastic! Sarah does a wonderful job helping me recover after long races and hard workouts. She’s considerate about injuries and sore spots, and I always walk out feeling so much better. I also appreciate that she gives me tips on stretches I can do at home to continue my recovery. And the quiet, soothing space truly is a little sanctuary.I’ve tried other people and places for massage but Sarah is the best, hands down. Highly recommend!

I have followed Olivia and Sarah Beth for years because massage services from them are really *that* good.
