Very cool BBQ place! The wings were delicious and smoked. Different bbq sauces are made there. A fully stocked bar and bowling!The bowling lanes have been there since the 60s. I felt like I was in the Big Lewbowski. The wait staff was very helpful with questions about the menu and the bowling amenities.It was worth the ride out to Martinsville. We had a great time.

Its got the old school vibe and the staff was great. Bonus: their cheesy pulled pork french fries are super yummy and theres plenty to split with someone. Also, decent parking.

We went on a Monday! The open sign was off, but they were open. The place was dead. No music, no lights. For my kids first time bowling, I was hoping for a better experience, but I was disappointed as well as the kids.

First time here. Sign said wait to be seated so we waited 8 minutes until the girl looked up from her phone and saw us. We ordered and the food took awhile but it was good even though the portion was small. The waitress spent the whole time with her phone and ignored us even though we were the only customers. We finally got napkins after I hollered at her so shed look up from her phone. Wont be back.

Just to the place and lane kept freezing up and not calculating the score correctly. We told the staff EVERYTIME. Finally we got tired of doing this and asked for a refund. The employee told us they couldnt give refunds and gave us three vouchers even though we pay for 4 more incomplete games. Also they allow dogs in. There was a family beside us with a dog that was not a service dog. I would have looked past the fact that it is very outdated if I didnt have all these issues and poor customers service. Im sure my reviews will not matter since this is the ONLY bowling alley in this city.

Fun impromptu saturday night. staff very kind and helpful. has pool tables and a bar attached. bar had lots of people, karaoke, and reasonably priced drinks.

Amazing local bowling alley. The people are very friendly, so happy to see everyone who walks through their doors. Spent many years on the PBA tour and as a regional bowler. Retired from full-time tournament bowling. So I really like it when I find a great local family owned alley.Ill definitely be back even though its an hour away.

My boyfriend, kid, and I decided to go bowling this afternoon. The lady at the front desk was extremely rude. First she laughs at a customer who got their ball stuck, plays on her phone, and doesn’t even offer to help them. My boyfriend goes to help (the incorrect way) she yells at him (understandable) then finally comes to help. You should have been more worried about helping your customers to begin with vs laughing at them and playing on her phone. Then after this incident, the lady then decided she was going to stare at me the rest of our game. Every time I looked up she was staring me down. It was extremely uncomfortable especially when the kid and I decided to join my boyfriend down in the bar for food and she proceeded to stare us down the whole time we were walking. I’m sorry but I don’t like being treated as a threat, and I was raised that staring was rude. We will not be coming to this bowling alley unless the lady behind the counter is gone. We use to enjoy ourselves here, but today we did not enjoy our experience.

Great prices! Staff were very helpful.They are renovating the kitchen. Food is not served right now.They have a nice bar, pool tables and a few arcade games.

Not the same vibe it used to have, the place has been directed much more towards younger (14-22). The pool tables are great either. They are very clean though with mini bar products and a great bowling area for families.

I love going to a new place and being treated like an idiot for not knowing what is offered. Fantastic. 10/10 do not recommend. But hey, the place was empty. So there is that.

The score keeping screen and interface is hard to use and very old. Other than that we had a great time.

This is a review for the bowling alley part, not Bowl-B-Q.Having visited nearly every week for six months, this is such a great establishment. Everyone there is friendly and accompdating. The prices are relatively fair, and they run a ton of specials. Some of the equipment is definitely aging, but its clear the staff take good care of the place. Finally, its pretty darn clean, and thats special for a bowling alley. Bowling, arcade, pool tables and vending machines are available for small fees.Ive been to numerous bowling alleys around southern Virginia, and none really live up to this place.

After dinner resides to go bowl and it was nice and nice family night out just something to wind down and enjoy together it was fun I look forward to the next time maybe Ill see you out there then but its a good place to go just to wind down make few people in this have fun

Its a fun place to go hang out. We had a family get together and had our kids. The kids had a great time! The bar wasnt open so I cant say anything about that and we didnt order from the restaurant either. I was sad to hear that they dont serve hamburgers or chicken tenders anymore.... I have a few things... Its an older place of course so the first lane we had the monitor screen was lagging big time compared to us bowling. But the older lady was nice and switched our lanes and gave us and extra 30 minutes. My biggest issue is that it is NOT wheelchair accessible. But again the lady let us roll my boyfriend in through the loading door in the storage room. But even then there is no way I could get him the lanes so he could bowl because it also has stairs. He said he still had a blast watching though ☺️ Its a fun place I just wish it was more accessible to the disabled.

First time I had visited in years. Loved the updates that are fairly new. Great seating areas. Up to date lanes and good selection of bowling balls. Clean areas. Only thing needed was toilet paper in the bathrooms as every stall was out.

GREAT LIL PLACE 2 HAVE A BIRTHDAY PARTY, BUT EXPENSIVE TO EAT OR DRINK HERE(SODAS). ALSO HAVE GREAT LIL GADGETS TO MAKE YOUR LIL ONES BOWLING EXPERIENCE GREAT!!

This place was very nice. We celebrated my daughter’s 9th Birthday on today. We walked in and the first impression was Ms Lynnette over at the counter, very nice lady. She was so kind, she greeted us with her nice smile and excellent hospitality. Went there for my grandsons birthday, staff was amazing, had an awesome time. Food was delicious too.

Came here with friends who named this place as a new favorite. We arrived on a weekday @opening time and left after a few hours. Place is fun, super clean and no issues with lanes. Staff super friendly. Plenty of nearby places to grab food before or after you bowl. No outside food allowed inside. No food service inside but plenty of vending machines all over.

Hadnt been there for a few years, total different atmosphere, no drama, met some good people, and some old friends that night. Actually had one of the better nights Ive had in a good while, friendly staff, food wasnt bad for the money, and the Cowboy Outlaws put up a really awesome showing for entertainment. I thought you guys were really in tune with the song selections as well! Keep it up, and thanks again. Ill be back

Cheeseburger and small fry 11.00! 8.00 would have been above value. Bottle beer 5.00! Prices a little steep for the venue. Oil for fries was old needed changed. Staff was excellent!

We had a great time! They don’t have very many lightweight balls available, mostly 9 lbs and up. But staff was friendly and the 60s vibe was fun!

Absolutely loved it can’t wait to go back and bowl some more and their food is good as well

We had a really good time but its time they make a few updates. Our lane was out of commission for too long before they decided to move us to another pane. The bartender was extremely cool and he treated us with a lot of respect!

My family and I have been there before,and decided to go back to this place, on our. Sunday family day choice . Which we ALL Loved, we can all, due to the various ages of my kids and grandkids and I, we are all able to do something for fun here!! They have a variety of age group entertainment and then various types of entertainment that are for the adults . Its a great, family friendly place and I would definitely recommend this as a family getaway for the day!! 😊

My family and I came here this past weekend and were going to bowl a few game. We had little kids with us. We had asked for the gutter guards for our 6 year old and was told they could not bring them over at the time and that we would be able to use them. That was a big disappointment so we cancelled the rest of our games that was paid for and left.Customer service was not good and was to me rude as hell. So that will be the last time we go to this place.

I actually enjoyed going here to bowl. Sure, people could say the place is old and run down but I see this place as a sort of time capsule. Definitely vintage and I enjoyed the trip back in time PLUS there was actually oil on the lanes on Saturday night! Which is huge for me because the 2 centers I typically bowl are never oiled except for league which is frustrating. Pricing is very reasonable, definitely recommend to anyone looking for something different to give it a try. Happened to be in the area and had never bowled here and glad we did.

Went there for drinks and eats, ended up sitting at the bar for 20 min while the bartender walk back and forth ignoring me. I expected something within the first 10 minutes, but after twenty minutes of being ignored I left the decided I wouldnt give that place a second chance.

Not much of a bowler but the BBQ is awesome. Nice atmosphere as well. Also karaoke night is some great entertainment .

Dollar games during the week cant beat it.

The old lady that works here is a horrible person and is very rude and we asked 3 games for 3 people and she said that she decided to go ahead and charge an extra game to even it out which was confusing because even what out?

Very dated facility. Everything (lanes, shoes, etc) was very old the monitors were not user friendly or easy to see. The monitors looked to from mid 80s. It would be hard for someone in wheelchair to access this place because no ramp to get inside or the lanes because of steps. This is another area where upgrade is needed. The bowling balls had dents and missing places in the balls. They needed a upgrade and more various sizes of balls. There were only two areas were the ball were stored. Only 18 lanes, so the waited time was whenever. No clarity on when a lane would be available.

Not a bad place to bowl. Inconsistent league shot and it would be nice if theyd update their scoring system. Ideal place for open bowlers.

Old school lanes that are very well kept and play well. Perfect place to throw a few games while in town for the Martinsville NASCAR races. Lanes seemed well oiled, pro shop display had the entire Storm line up, and staff was incredibly nice.

Had an amazing time with my family; the kids loved it! We played two games and had a fun family night. Couldnt of had a better time together anywhere else. Will be back and recommend to family and friends

I love going to Sportslanes !! They treat you almost like family. Always fast at fixing anything wrong which dont happen often because they keep on top of everything.I love the lanes alot better than they have in larger cities. Wood is perfect.. Friendly people and cant wait til they start serving barbecue... Yum

Brought family and relatives here to go bowling for my oldest sons birthday last year. While he got to spend time with extended family and enjoy himself; my wife and I were in dread by the service. The person running the register, and from what Im understanding owns the place, was extremely rude and impatient with customers over simple questions. Also, the painting of God on the background reaching down and touching a bowler is a bit blasphemous. That may sound trivial, but for my personal beliefs I found a bit insulting. Havent and wont go back since.

I visited a few times to bowl here, but today I was there to drill holes for a ball that I got as a gift from my wife. Melissa and Chris were super nice with me and very attentive. They answered all my questions about bowling techniques. Chris even let me practice with my new bowling ball and taught me a few tricks to improve my game!!! I recommend anyone to visit this bowling alley, you are going to have a great time!!!

Hello my name is Tim Shockley I am the drummer and singer from the band outta time... we just rocked the place everybody loves us we played after the band lunch with Rasputin and the people who stayed said we made the night worth it I thought lwr was great and I hope we can come back we should be able to cuz everybody like thanks for a good time

Fun but its a lil too slow serving drinks. Too big of a bar with 3 places to Gerry your money. But they have 3 people in one corner serving from the sane cash register.

Went tonight to watch a fantastic band with a few friends of mine. Gave my debit card to run a tab at the bar.... The band was so good that we decided to stay the whole night, not a surprise, Carolina Ignition is a great band, but much to my demise, at the end of the night I went to settle my debt to descover they had given my card to somone else after running it for their charge. The not so gentleman that I spoke to at the counter was the manager who could not understand why I was so upset that their establishment gave my card to someone who it did not belong to..... Do not run a tab here, they are not capable of keeping track of your debit card. The card he did try to give me had the name Enrique on it, my name is Amber. Not even close!! I even showed him my license 3 times to prove to him that he was making a mistake with trying to give me Enriques card.

My friends and I had a fun time. It was a nice place to bowl and the prices were very reasonable. A nice thing to go do on a Sunday.

Business was slow there was a DJ playing but he quit very early there was a juke box but no music playing an employee said they werent allowed to cut it on so it was all on the customers so no customers no music I bought a soda that tasted flat with mostly ice I stayed long enough to shoot a few games of pool tables were in decent shape sticks werent

Last visit before our move. Not real busy so it sucked. Played alittle pool or tried to cause some guys hogged table even though they only had money for a couple of games. They messed around alot

Solid beer selection. Then at 9:00:01 smokers fired up. Smoked a half a pack second-hand before I could get my check and bolt. Go before 9:00 for the best beer selection in town.

One Martinsville lemonade ruined my life. 5 stars

Was denied entrance due to my plain white T shirt. Im a clean cut male ( not a thug) . theyre loss. Ill take my hard earned $$ elsewhere

Went in today to work on drills for my league. Asked, with many lanes open, to not be next to someone. Before I threw my second ball, with 10 plus lanes open, the lane turned on right next me. When I asked to be moved, nothing was said. I stood and waited. I didnt look up at the screen and after several minutea of watching the desk clerk talking to people I told her I wanted to go ahead and get my money back and just leave. She became aggressive and yelling across the alley to me I moved you. Is there a problem today? with still more than 10 open lanes I told her I was doing drills and didnt want to have someone next to me. She then finally informed me that she had moved me. Its open bowling - she cant help it when that happens ( currently 18 lanes open as I type this now) Because she had a carrying voice I heard her talking behind my back about me and asking to move. Extraordinarily unprofessional when talking to a client who has been spending money every weekend at the alley. Not a way to treat or talk to clients. Not going to happen to me again either in open bowling or a league.

It was Karaoke night .Saturday nights usually feature bands ; live music with a $5 cover.They have good food . Pool tables . Outside smoking akrea. With picnic tables , beer, draft & bottled . And of course bowling lanes

The bar area is cluttered with furniture and there isnt any music. Only 1 pool table and a bar. That served beer bottles and wine coolers.

Went with my students with disabilities and the staff was awesome! Very friendly and treated our students with utmost respect! Very family oriented! Highly recommend going!

It was fun they have an LITTLE arcade areas with like 5 games but theyre fun. The bowling was fun. I dont know bout the food there. They are a little expensive for one game.

Sportslanes is a great place to take your family for a fun day of bowling. By night it is also a Bar that has bands, pool tables, along with a huge selection of Local an Imported Beers. This place is affortable an easy going!

It is okay but the DJS play too much rap/hip hop music. It does not make the visit enjoyable.

Pretty cool little bar. Too crowded to shoot pool and only fair tables. Great band, Remedy rocks!

Finally knocked a few pins down I drive by every time Im working in collinsville, had a good time talking to the staff and bowling technician about the old school A2 machines. Lanes were oiled and the place was dope! 🤘

Equipment is ancient. Scoring isnt correct at all. House balls have huge chunks missing from finger holes, that could cut you. I am SO disappointed that this place has gone downhill so badly. It needs a major overhaul.

Sportlanes is a landmark and its like home you go to have fun its like a child on the play ground but over all; it a great place to go and enjoy, fellowship and meet people actually my first date was at Sportlanes.

Did not like it here. I thought it was expensive ti o take 3 kids bowling for 1 game. The girl at counter was rude and place was not very clean
