Haulover Beach (Clothing Optional Section)

I have been wanting to do this for years but had ties so I couldnt. I finally got to come and enjoy. I met a guy and we had a blast talking with no expectations. If you read the signs it clearly states CLOTHING OPTIONAL so if you dont want to see nude people just walk south a bit and there you go. Now the water is nice enough to enjoy but there is some difficulty after storms much like any other beach you go to. I was so nervous but everyone was so friendly I felt at ease just after a few minutes. This will not be on a yearly destination for me if I dont decide to make it home.

I know people are worried about privacy or people taking photos or videos without their knowledge or consent. But besides this, the water is clear for swimming and the beach is clean, with lifeguards on duty, also have restroom, showers, beach chair and umbrella rentals on both sides of the beach for clothes optional or not. If you would like to experience clothes optional and worried about people taking photos, I recommend going in a weekday and early in the morning. I personally came early on a Saturday and it wasnt many people and it was great.

Great place with a food truck option with soft drinks and some fast food and meals. The clothing optional sections bring quiere and peace to your ears leaving behind the sound of kids. As it says clothing is optional and you can rent a bench, tent or different options starting at 15$

Way more crowded than the normal beach which was surprising! Nice beach though, definitely some weirdos but they are in the minority. Food was awesome

Such a nice place with mostly respectful crowd. Southern part of the beach is nicer for couples/families.

Great casual nude beach lots of space and no sketchy vibes. Just enjoy the playa au natural!

Wonderful place to spend the day! No judgements given! All types and sorts of people were there and either enjoying time as couples, groups of friends, or individually. No sleazy vibes.The beach itself is nice and wide. Plenty of room to spread out. The water is clear and relatively clean (aside from some seaweed). When I went a hurricane had blown through the week before so there were some dead jellyfish in the surf right at the water line. DONT WORRY ABOUT THEM! Obviously avoid them going in and coming out, but once youre a few feet in/shoulder deep it clears up entirely. There were people in the water all day and not a single sting was seen. TONS of small shells and coral pieces to collect if you are in to that.The middle of the beach has chairs and umbrellas to rent. $20 for an umbrella. They take apple/android pay.My only complaint was about the parking. The lots are NOT close and require walking a couple of blocks to get to. There are additional underpasses and parking areas closer by, but they are closed off for no good reason. Most just full of construction storage with pipes and such filling up good spots. The southernmost lot is free to park, the northernmost open lot was pay to park. Really cheap, but still feels predatory.Overall a great time to be had guaranteed. Let your tan lines melt away and enjoy nature au natural. A new favorite place for sure!

The most exciting quiet wonderful peaceful friendly warm exuberant nice social cozy majestic etc beach.Once you arrive you feel that special sensation of freedom and contact with nature. Beachs taken care of daily and there are lifeguards on towers to ensure safety of Beach goers.People are really friendly and welcome you to be part of it, for actually you are.Just arrive, set your area up, take clothes off, relax on your towel and enjoy life on sand or into the water.

Interesting for a first timer as a couple. Bring your own umbrella & chairs. They do have a few chairs & umbrellas but for a fee. I felt really comfortable with the community, but as for the entire area its not that secluded. Some outsiders will pass by, or boats & planes & it makes you a little nervous, but overall it was a great experience!

A nice place if you are ready to face piles of stinky seaweed and a steeply beach that was not easy to get to the water... plenty of sunbathers and a slight wall to separate the nudes from the regular swimsuits.Not a place for swimming.

We went in August 2022 and it was honestly so relaxing and an amazing time.The parking was super close to the nudist beach plus they had umbrellas, a food truck and life guards.We have never felt so free in life. It changed my whole world going here. We cant wait to return at some point in the future.Everyone was nice, and I didnt see anything weird or people taking pictures.Everyone was just relaxed and free.If you are on the fence... Give it a try because you dont have to take your clothes off... But once you are there you most likely will and will feel free.

Nice beach with no buildings beside, only a nice park that Blocks isolates in some way the road that goes parallel. Very quiet beach, birds singing plus the waves splashing in the shore. Every body takes it spot with distance and quiet and peaceful area

LOTS OF CREEPSI love haulover, it’s a very clean beach, water is amazing, there’s a decent section of beach that’s nude friendly, HOWEVER this doesn’t stop creeps and weirdos from coming here, if you can make sure you bring someone to accompany you (preferably someone who Will say something if they see it) Ladies please beware of people trying to offer you drinks!! almost everytime I come someone tries to offer me a drink, and it’s common sense not to take drinks from strangers but they don’t try that for No reason. There’s a great food truck right on the nude side they have great food and drinks (no alcohol so bring your own)I would also recommend to try to bring some sort of tent, people have become VERY comfortable walking nearly full clothed and pretend to be on the phone just to walk past you back and forth recording you, people do this as well with their phone cameras sticking out of their socks so just watch your surroundings, it can take a lot of the fun and relaxing out of it . I used to come almost every day and at this point I can only do so much to keep myself safe and comfortable. Confinement isn’t what I should have to do to avoid being harassed. I hate that people act like this it’s super uncomfortable and unfair to others. The beach is also SUPER PACKED maybe I just haven’t been at the right times recently but it’s been CHEEK TO CHEECK LITERALLY! I’ve noticed by the walkways people clearly have been peeing non stop and it smells HORRIBLE, have some decency and courtesy if you don’t wanna walk to the bathroom go in the water! People bring their own music here so being so close to all different types of music styles on top of eachother can be annoying. Like I said , I love this beach! It’s such a nice escape from things, as for all good things though, people don’t respect it how it should be respected.

Went with my girlfriend and this was a new experience that we both enjoyed. Friendly people; we didn’t have problems with people being intrusive. Water was nice and warm. The beach was easy to locate. If u don’t have your own umbrella or chairs u can rent some there. We cant wait to get back.

Update for 3 to 4 stars, my bad, I see there is a walkway under the busy street so disregard the comment crossing a busy road. This is good to see, because Im not the only one who missed the under highway crossing, as I see many people running across this 6 lane highway to get to the parking lot from the beach. There definitely needs to be more signs! The problem here is you park across the street in a third party parking lot with a $7 minimum for a couple hours, and the biggest problem with that is you take your life in your hands to walk across a super busy 4+ lane highway!! stupid planning. to go to a light and crosswalk is about a mile in each direction.

Did not go nude due to all the fully clothed creepers sitting around in the area.

What better way to celebrate our Anniversary than coming to the beach ... A little cold but was worth it ... Starting new ...

If you want to run around in your birthday suit this is the place for pretty much year round.

Amazing beach! The beach is absolutely clean and the water is absolutely lovely as well: usually not very rough and the water is clear. There is also a lot of seashells as well in the water. Overall highly recommend!

We visit this beach every time were in the area. Wonderful place to hang out free of clothes. People are friendly and courteous. Parking is nearby across the street at the paid lot. Plenty of restrooms and showers nearby. Great place to spend a day....

First time visiting a nude beach and Haulover Beach did not disappoint!Everyone minded their own business and made it extremely comforting to just be out nude while enjoying the sun and ocean breeze.

Went with my sister and friends. First time experience enjoyed it very much even thou the sand was extremely hott. Will diffinately go again.

Its a walk to get to. Its only ONE mile from parking lot. Easy. Not at all crowded and next to lifeguard tower. The Florida sun feels even better here!

The reason why I only gave it 3 stars, is cause are starting a project during the beginning of summer, the main reason people come to the beach and on that parking lot that they working on ..., after all that rain , the sewage was coming up to the parking contaminating the rain water that we all are walking on to parkother than that, Haulover is an nice beach area with plenty for everyone, had plenty of parking, boating , runing , bicycle etc..

Great place, sand is a bit soft but overall the water is amazing. A little seaweedy at times but its great.

Got tourist trapped in having to pay for the chairs. Be aware. Great beach though.

Parking area 1 has the tunnel to the gay area, and showers on the beach side of the dunes so you can clean the sand off before putting anything on.

The only thing is getting there is a pain from Miami.

I loved this beach. It is a pretty safe place, great sandy beach, the water is warm and with the perfect depth. It was beautiful.

Great place to feel comfortable in your own skin. Clean and very welcoming.

Great place for the most part. There are some completely creepy guys that wander around but generally everyone is friendly and they keep to themselves.

Lots of older people. Gay section and straight section.

Mornings/sunrises are beautiful everywhere in Miami but Haulover is very mystical. Love the SaltyLife!

Theres no better place to enjoy the ocean breeze while soaking in the rays.

The place is perfect. Obviously go in summer. If you have a beach umbrella, bring it. They dont allow beers, if youre going to drink, bring everything in a bag. But dont drink in the water. Many Latin people go.
