Man, what can I even say about the eighth room? If youre looking for cool, this is probably the place in Nashville. The music was good. The drinks were good, even though I dont drink, but I seen somebody. The guys that own it seemed cool . There was a place to smoke cigs , not inside, but right outside the building. And there definitely was some hot girls. Ive been to other places in Nashville that were amazing, but this place is pretty much right up there. It was good.
I was here for the Henry Cruz Band and Nehoda a few weeks ago, and had a good experience. The drinks were outstanding, I am talking probably the best old fashioned I have had in Nashville in a long time. Very knowledgeable bartender. Whoever was on sound that night definitely knows what he is doing, too. Both bands sounded outstanding and while I have seen both of them live before and they are always great, there was just something special about the sound in this venue. I felt like it truly did these artists justice. Finally, the decor and general ambience was really cool. I was a bit skeptical having read the website description before the show that maybe it would be a bit extra or too overdone/put on, but the space was actually perfectly designed. It was a great night. If I have any constructive feedback at all, it would be that I wish there was even a limited small bites menu or perhaps a food truck rotation outside in the parking lot, because the drinks were too good not to have several and I found myself wishing for a bite to eat by the second set having had several drinks. Anyway, Ill be back!
My sons moved to Nashville and frequent this establishment, so I thought I would visit while in town. Beautiful atmosphere, aesthetically pleasing, great sound! The owners, Hollis and Erin, were very friendly and accommodating! A great experience.I can’t think of a better place for a night out!
LOVED the decor and vibe, but whatever kind of fragrance they use inside was absolutely overwhelming and made mine and my husbands eyes and noses burn. We had to leave after just one drink, not even being able to stay to hear the band that we paid $20 a head for, because it was so strong. I LOVE fragrances and have never been sensitive to anything like this. The $20 cover at the door followed by overpriced drinks was definitely a turn off as well. Service was great.
For a small venue this place is awesome! They clearly put a ton of effort into a quality performance experience. I’m so glad we stumbled onto this place. Awesome music, awesome atmosphere, and the owners are fantastic.
The cocktails were a little expensive at $18 but great the atmosphere was relaxed and the staff were kind. Overall, it was a great experience and kind of a hidden gem. Didnt know where to park, so I just parked on an adjacent street.
This place is beyond sexy! The attention to details and vibe of the place is extraordinary! The sound system is next level.Absolutely love this place! The scent alone is an entire vibe! And to those uneducated people who want to try to bash a PRIVATE CLUB because they’re not setup as wheelchair accessible - you need to learn before you speak.I was in line and saw the way whomever spoke to the young lady who was kind and explained the situation; you should be ashamed of yourselves. Telling someone you hope they die?! Real classy. What is not an ADA requirement? The ADA does not apply to religious organizations and PRIVATE CLUBS, entities which historically have been exempt from federal civil rights laws. Places of worship and other facilities controlled by a religious organization, such as a school or day care center, are not subject to the ADA Standards.
Really wanted to like this place but the vibe is not good. Poor management, and even poorer attitudes. They’ve already burnt bridges with multiple musicians/artists in town. There’s just better places in Nashville to spend your money and not get treated like you’re less than.
From the luxurious scent that hits you the moment you walk through the doors, to the beautiful vintage decor, the gorgeous curated bar offerings, the eclectic art, incredible sound system, this place is top notch! The attention to detail is impressive. Love it that every night you can meet funky stylish regulars, this is my new weekly hang.
Swanky environment comes at the cost of a snooty attitude from staff! Don’t dare order a light beer—they only want you to order their house beer or a fancy cocktail. Very off putting service, we felt like we weren’t welcome even though we’re the locals they claim they’re trying to attract. This place reeks of new Nashville energy coming in to try and capitalize on Music City.I get it’s not a dive bar, but a more upscale lounge environment doesn’t have to feel so exclusive and inauthentic. Also to the idiot that mentioned ADA doesn’t apply to private clubs, that means private membership clubs. This is not a “private club” it’s a BAR, a commercial facility, which ADA 100% applies to.Even, if it were a private club, Private membership clubs DO have to comply with ADA regulations when they open their facilities to the general public, such as a concert. If a private club hosts an event, such as selling tickets to a show, they lose their exemption anyway. SHAME ON YOU EIGHTH ROOM for not being wheelchair accessible!
Saw the 4.1 stars and thought this might be a positive to addition to the Nashville scene. Should have read reviews a little closer. They seem to be empty endorsements juiced with hollow platitudes from the owners’ friends. Perhaps just ’rockstars’ on the guest list being fed shots. Vibe is awful. Nashvilles best kept secret? Please. More like destination number 1 for an authentic “Trashville” experience.Do yourself a favor and visit one of the many other fine places Nashville has to offer, or honestly go ANYWHERE else cause it doesn’t get much worse than the Eighth Room. Even the name is unimaginative.
It’s thoughtfully decorated and the staff is great, but $20 cover and $18 drinks would be expensive even on Broadway. I’m rooting for them, but I don’t see how they’ll survive on 8th Ave with prices that high.
The artistry and intention that went into the design of this establishment is unmatched by anything in Nashville. I look forward to spending many wonderful evenings here and enjoying the unique atmosphere and spirit collection.
Just curious what exactly you mean by closed? It’s 3:15am and I live across the street and my house is currently vibrating from your music.Something that would be in violation at this decimal during regular operating hours this close to homes … let alone past the noise curfew. Would love a response!? Explanation!?
This place has such a beautiful aesthetic! The drinks were amazing and the staff are the friendliest in town! You wont be disappointed on a night out.
The club owner refused to allow a super fan of the band entrance into the club simply because she was in a wheel chair. Their excuse was that they could not accommodate her circumstances with no options. She traveled very far to be turned away.
Its fine. nothing special and def not exclusive. crowd looked like theyd just left an insurance sales convention at a marriot. bunch of middle aged guys in pleated khakis.
Great venue, great staff , the entertainment is top notch! Highly recommend!
So happy I found this spot, great to find a venue that has rock bands and really cares about the sound quality
Amazing. I was there for Kip Moores Damn Love album debut. Great venue and outstanding album.
Staff was very rude. Grabbed my drink from me to place it on a coaster?! You can ask first and I would happily comply!
Great music, nice high end drinks, beautiful atmosphere. It’s become one of my favorite spots in the neighborhood.
Really cool spot! The cocktails are a little pricey, but the live music delivered! Ill certainly be back!
Last week I was mugged at gunpoint and lost my job, but attending a show at this establishment was definitely the low point. Never Again.
Great atmosphere! Accustic are fantastic for blues. Had a really nice evening.
Loved the atmosphere! I haven’t been in this room since it was Douglas Corner!
The Eighth Room is a great place to socialize with friends or meet new people, providing a lively and fun environment.
Chic vibe, great live bands, great bartender service and skills, very comfy couches!
Touristy vibe for sure but still fun. Perfect spot for a bachelorette party weekend.
Great venue, fantastic soundsystem. Very comfortable.
Perfect for bachelorette weekend. Reminds me of the Fashion House party from 2020 except even better.
