This was by far the best experience we had in Little Havana on our weekend of fun. We happened to hear the music nearby so we walked in and sat down. The service was so friendly and inefficient. We enjoyed the delicious strawberry margaritas. I was so excited because I had asked other restaurants in this area but none of them carried it. My friend had a delicious mango margarita. Our server, Kathy, was so friendly and such a beautiful person inside and out. She and other people here make this place special along with the art and the amazing bands that rotate through in the evening.

I love this place for a great salsa night out dancing but the mixed drinks though is horrible. The mojito was terrible very artificial flavor nothing natural about it and ordered a lemon drop shot that taste like medicine. It was just horrible. They really need to work on the drinks because the atmosphere is awesome.

Went there on a Saturday. They had two different live salsa bands. Both were incredible. Cover was $10. Beer was reasonable at $7 but there’s a built in $2 tip. There isn’t much room to dance near the main stage as the area is narrow and everyone is standing there to watch the band. The other stage has a little more room but it can’t accommodate a lot of couples. It was a mix between women who wanted to dance and didn’t. I would recommend going at least once. The bands are incredible.

Although parking is difficult to find (and not free on the main street), we stop here every time we are in Little Havana for the “last drink” before heading home. It’s a big place with a full bar and a big room for live music bands (and dancing). What I love about it though is that the entire place is like an art gallery: you see (Cuban) paintings everywhere, even on the ceiling, and some tables are artistic creations! They also have some tables outside, and sometimes live music: it’s here where we usually like to sit, enjoy a cigar, a few drinks (we never ordered food here) and… people watching!

This Museum and Performing Arts Center with the bar is truly fantastic. I highly recommend that you take the time out to visit the Cuban district and experience this Museum come bar in the evening and in the daytime so you can clearly see the thousands of artifacts this owner has collected and put on display.Every single item in here is absolutely fascinating and I cannot imagine the amount of work and determination it took on the part of the owner to put this whole place together. I believe if youre interested many items on display are also for sale. The Cuban coffee here is excellent the bar drinks are acceptable. On certain nights the Museum also hosts dancing lessons for various let you know dance styles.A cup of Cuban espresso cost $3.Dont forget to view the tables outside in the hallway but be warned that theres heavy cigar smoking if you decide to stay outside on the tables.

A perfectly fine place that is exactly equivalent to any other location in Little Havana for a drink. We went to Thursday Happy Hour & the server told us there was none, even when I pulled up the website. It is no matter - the vibe is good but is also available throughout the whole street. Perfectly acceptable Old Fashioned & Expresso Martini. The museum part is maybe metaphorical.

A great place to have a cocktail and listen to the live music by the band. The bar is also a historical museum packed with artifacts from Havana, very interesting to browse through. The short description of the band doesn’t do it justice- they are superb, engage with the audience, dance and sing as if it’s their last performance. For those who fancy a cigar, the place has a detached cigar shop so you can enjoy your Cuban cigar with some rum while listening to some salsa classics. A fantastic place I wouldn’t miss out on!

A breathtaking venue that really captures the importance of the Cuban story and struggles that have made Miami into what it is today. The collection of paintings are beautifully displayed in a way that truly expresses the culture of Miami that I craved to learn about and immerse myself in during my Miami visit. Its a beautiful bar (not really a museum) with nice decorations and lots of paintings. We went there when there was a band playing nice music and did enjoy our time. Major issues were that everything was overpriced, the waitress was super ignorant while it was not busy at all, and most importantly what kind of bar charges an addition 5% for credit cards? On the receipt it says there is a 0.039% non cash adjustment (which I had never seen in a bar before) but they really added about 5% for credit payments with no explanation. I dont care about the extra dollar that we paid but I do care when a restaurant or a bar tries to rip off people in such a way. With their service I think that the enforced 18% tip is also not fair at all.

If there is a zero star i would’ve selected it. Yes music is nice (normal commercial cuban music for tourists to enjoy) but the service and the treatment was really horrible. After buying two pricey drinks and paid a handsome tip, we wanted to eat, they told us we have to eat outside the place (at the terrace ) which was odd, but we said it’s ok, the menu had not that much to offer so we had some bites and guacamole. Then after completing our bites we wanted to go back inside, which was now not allowed unless we pay a fee of 15 USD per person! (Cover charge ) … first money is not the issue, but this was illogical and somehow a scam,, I thought there was a misunderstanding, so I spoke to the manager who saw us inside and the waiter who was serving us food and they said sorry you have to pay now this additional fee… Anyhow long story short, we went to another place had an amazing super fun, which means we spent more ;) , called an uber and went home. Really bad experience and I don’t wish it to anyone.I recommend the opposite restaurant and bar “old Havana” friendlier people, original Cuban music, variety of drinks and they have amazing food!!!!Please don’t waste your time going to greedy places! And enjoy little Havana but be careful from leech restaurants. We walked in Sunday at 6:40pm for our gocity redemption of a drink and a Cuban sandwich. No one greeted us, nor is there designated hostess spot to check into. After waiting a while one of the bar staff looked at us, so we mentioned gocity pass. He pointed towards the back and walked off. A waiter then walked past, so I asked him, and he said wait. Then the bar staff came back and said it ends at 6 pm. Clearly online it mentions Wednesday to Sunday 1pm-8pm. I said that to him and he gave us a look and firmly said NO. I asked the waiter again and he passed us on to the other bar staff whom just looked at a tablet then helped other customers. Not worth the time and effort. One star for the live music.

We learned about this place super briefly on a tour so we returned. On the one hand this place is really unique. Another reviewer stated its not a museum. Well it is but you can purchase the art pieces. We ordered drinks and the mojitos are by far the best and best price for what you get. However the service was lacking. The waitress did not check on us and they added extra charge for using credit card. Bad business practice. I understand other countries may do this but not a big establishment in the US. The final amount was more than the stated upcharge so that was a hassle to get fixed. But then the music band started and locals are very friendly and talkative and when they saw us leaving they convinced us to stay and even ordered us drinks after we explained our experience. So in the end it turned out to be enjoyable. Great music and mojitos. But check your bill carefully at all Miami establishments. Service charge is often included. This place has so much potential. I work in the hospitality industry in Miami and my experience at this venue was full of a lot of inhospitable moments.First, the bartender was clearly annoyed that I asked him to just put less mixer and more ice in my cocktail (Im a bartender, I know this isnt a big ask). I tipped cash on top of the service fee just to show good nature. My friend bought 1 cocktail which is approx $20 after service fee. A few days later her total was adjusted to $35. I chalked this up to an honest mistake so I called the venue. After days of being ignored I finally got thru to some one named Griselle. She was very short with me, dang near hostile. I told her a bartender mustve made a mistake when closing his checks and she immediately got defensive and said they get paid very well here, they wouldnt try to scam anyone. I repeated myself saying I didnt think anyone was scamming and like I said before it mustve been a mistake. Then she asked me what I expected her to do about it. I said a refund of the $15 extra I never authorized would be nice. She tells me you expect me to find a customer receipt from 2 weeks ago?. I say I know its a pain in the butt but I too work in the industry and I know its possible. And that I will gladly give her the date, time, and other info needed. She starts getting aggressive saying she will not put up with anyone talking to her this way. I guess all she heard was butt and assumed I was cursing at her. I deescalated her attitude and softly repeated myself to clarify. Then she agreed to help me and told me to send her the info and tried to rush off the phone. As she was saying bye, I asked her for the email I could send the info to. I was given an email and its been another 2 weeks and I have received no response.Terrible service, worse management, and this point can say their cocktails were overpriced & underwhelming. I love Calle Ocho but this is now easily my least favorite venue in all of Miami. Just so far from what we call true hospitality here.

Hay had to go to find someone to order a drink and 3 times they tell me that they will pass by my table buy... finally I went to the bar and ask for my drink, right there I pay and expensive amount and even though the bad service they get upset for my $5 tip.By the way, its a vulgar place.

I used to love this place... Till very recently. My family (about 20 ppl) went out to celebrate our recent wedding. Weve been to this place quite a few times and loved it every time. But tonight was a little different. Some of my cousins had to leave and given the area, my uncles walked them to their car. When they came back Cuba Ocho insisted on a cover. My uncles told them that they had tabs open and everything. We had each $100+ tabs open!! We were eating, dancing, and drinking for over two hours with almost $400 in open tabs but they insisted on $30 each for a total of $90. We closed our tabs and left to go to South Beach. To make matters worse, we spoke to the manager on the way out... She was unapologetic and rude. Said it wasnt her problem everyone gets charged the same even if they just run out to smoke. NEVER going back here again!!

The most authentic Cuban-owned establishment in Miami. CubaOcho offers Miamis largest rum collection, endless stunning pieces of Cuban art, delicious bites and the best mojitos on Calle 8. If youre looking for a place to take a salsa class, dance the night away, or grab a cigar at the CigarElla womens club, CubaOcho is the place for you.

Absolutely love this place! Came here with my boyfriend 2016 in June and had to come back in December when we were passing through Calle Ocho. Its half bar/half museum where the tables are made of paintings or wood-carved tables. The mojitos are delicious even though a bit pricey. Nevertheless its a gorgeous place and when its not too hot you can sit outside and watch the road with good music. Would come again!

Overcharged us and virtually kicked us out for expressing our negative experience.

Even though its located in touristy part of town, this is by far the best Cuban cultural experience you will have period. You feel like you are in Old Havana with all of the Cuban paintings from the 18th, 19th and 20th century and its a great place to hang out, have a drink and listen to some old fashion Cuban music. They have tables outside as well where you can sit relax, have a drink and smoke a cigar and they even pull out domino tables. Its as authentically Cuban as your going to get.

A star of Little Havana. If you want to be immersed in a beautiful setting where you are surrounded by the works of arts of Cuban masters and where you can enjoy the talents of many musicians while you sip on your favorite drinks with your favorite company, this is your place. I personally love tango Tuesday nights, or you can opt for dancing salsa with authentic salseros. Nevertheless, take a moment to look through the books that are laying around to learn a little about the magic of Cuban history and realize that you are sitting in a rare museum. Gracias CubaOcho!
