Met the owner Serge at a party tonight and he told me about his establishment, so we decided to check it out... Very nice place. Excellent service from the staff. Very reasonable prices and nice atmosphere

I like the layout inside and the outdoor seating even more. I prefer the outdoor seating mostly because I generally go by myself and like to start conversations. The music is louder indoors and not as conducive to conversation. The people I have met have been very nice. I do love the LBGTQ community in Milwaukee. Great people when things are going well in their lives and open and honest when they just need someone who will listen.

If you want a fun time and a chill vibe, go to Kruz. Russ, the bartender from New York was so much fun to talk with! Youll love him.

Staff disrespectful… I back into a spot and all of a sudden here comes one of the staff members banging on my window like loudly, almost breaking it and telling me I can’t park here. There’s no parking in this place. You can’t get a drink and whoever the staff members that was banging on my window telling me u can’t park here is ignorant n needs to be fired! This was the only gay club that I ever go to , but now I’m no longer ever going back there .. ! Rude disrespectful try to get a drink. It ain’t happening specially on Friday or Saturday.!!!

Came here with some gay friends who are female presenting and were told to leave the bar because we didn’t buy a drink within the 5 minutes. The crusty boomer fossil at the bar came and told us (the only women at the bar) to leave and made a snap judgement about us because we weren’t gay men. Especially during pride month, for the accepting and judgment-free atmosphere that queer spaces are supposed to curate, what a misogynistic anti/women attitude to promote. Chicago Boystown would never. I will never even try to venture out to the “Gay Mile” (unless you’re a she/her) To the ancient articfact bartender, I hope you learn to treat women/women-presenting queer people with respect and dignity + your lips probably taste like envelopes. This place gives gay men a bad rep in the LGBTQ community.

For a gay bar, its sad to learn that 2 of my friends that are a LGBT couple got assaulted verbally and physically here. The bar staff didnt do anything to help/stop it. My friend told the bartender to call the cops, he refused.

I visited this bar and I from out of town when there I ordered a martini there was an ethnic man behind the bar, saying to the other bartender why did you take that order and yes, I’m sitting there listening to him say that it made me feel very uncomfortable and then he proceeded to just loud talk, as if a paying customer was irritating him and so did the others that came with me heard him as well Sir, if you’re going to do that to paying customers, I don’t think you need to represent the establishment Do better please not acceptable however, the bartender that made the martini did a great job with what he had to work with while at your establishment ( this happened 7-25-2024 around 6:30 pm )

Its an okay bar. Depending on when you go they give good service. Sometimes you get not-so-good service. You will be waiting for a while to have your order taken at the bar if they are really busy and if they see you. But the patio outside is lovely. I always love sitting out there. The people are nice and friendly and Ive met some really good people out there.

As a bar that claims to be lgbt friendly’ being a female it’s very unwelcoming no locks on the female bathroom so you have to have someone wait out the door to to have privacy. No one cards at the door but Boone n Crocket does to many young people in this bar that probably shouldn’t be served too

Bar is not friendly staff only cares about the clientele regularsnot safe if your a female go to boone n crocket. bar doesn’t even card you but the bar there does. bar should be reported and have their liquor license revoked

So Ive been to many gay bars in Milwaukee and they are all so welcoming. We came to Kruz during Pride to celebrate. It was a beautiful night and everyone was having a good time. Were there for two hours.In the end, when a Latin song came on, two of my friends started to dance and thats when the issue happened. The owner (picture) came over and kicked us out. He said that my friends were a liability. If youve asked anyone who surrounded us, they would disagree. My friends were just having a good time and people around us watched it with glee. My two friends were dancing at the spot they were standing and didnt touch anyone or were obnoxious. He also lied and said that my friend called him the B word, which at least 8 of us (including strangers) can vow didnt happen. The owner fits right into the narrative of how hateful our community is.The table next to us was shocked watching everything unfold. They left at the same time we did.Not since at a straight bar back when I was in college, I was so humiliated in front of my friend, but even feel more humiliated for the owner. How do we preach love and inclusivity if a part of our community still has so much hatred that came from a personal agenda?

Evan was my bartender this evening for happy hour and he was fantastic! Very attentive to all the customers and had a great sense of humor. I really liked how he explained the special and recommended drinks for me. 10/10 will return, especially for that cutie!

Very much a local spot like most of all the other gay bars in my walking. Thank you. Stopped and had a couple drinks and it says small queen nice little place with an outdoor patio even in the winter time they had heat lamps. Your average premium drink is 6-8 bucks.

Interesting gay bar. It seemed huge. The drinks in the area seem to generally be large, weak and sugary. Not a big deal but you want want to go with beer.This place had a bunch of gay folk art which I kind of loved. You could also see parts of bar that were made by the owner and his friends.I liked it a lot.

An LGBTQ Upscale Bar that welcomes everyone. Good drinks, nice bartenders & wonderful patio. Come in full kit to meet like minded people. Also, a place to come with friends after work. This bar swings all ways. (This bar is more Gay Men than Women, but all are welcome, especially Allies!)

Wow, DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU ARE A WOMAN! Or if you just want good service for that matter! Was here on a Tuesday night, slow night, only 7 people at the bar besides me and my 2 friends. Started a game of darts after ordering drinks then went out for a smoke. Came back to our full drinks cleared. Ok, honest mistake. How it was handled was terrible! The bartender charged full price for replacements even though we only asked for shorts being kind. He said who in their right mind leaves their drinks unattended at a bar? (I personally knew 3 of the 7 people at the bar) insinuating our drinks are bound to get roofied. Great reputation for a bar! We had never even left the premises! Only 10 feet away from our table! He was extremely rude and aggressive. They definitely have a vendetta against the female gender. BUYER BEWARE!

Guy tried to hit on me would not recommend.

They have slot machines here but you have to wait A FULL WEEK to get your money back. Absurd. I’m calling the Better Business Bureau. Bait and Switch.

Its a very nice bar but it really hasnt changed since the day it opened except for the nice patio and Jerry does a wonderful job with all the wonderful flowers he puts on the patio and they have absolutely fabulous bartenders I do recommend it to new guys in town

Ive been there a couple times, and the bartender Jeff always makes me feel welcomed. Some of the customers are creepers, but overall, the drinks are affordable, the juke box isnt ancient, and I havent been roofied. #winning

ALWAYS a good experience here. Everybody is nice and fast with their service. The owners are wonderful too. No drama and they do not put up with anybodys nonsense. Patio is such a nice addition too. THANK YOU!

Cruz is my favorite bar in Milwaukee. It is gay and usually has a good crowd. They have a great patio, pool table, and other games of chance. Plenty of parking.

Kruz is one of Milwaukees GLBT bars that have stood the test of time. With the disappearance of some of Milwaukees staples such as Boot Camp (lost to fire), Triangle (closed shortly after the owners death) and Boom/The Room, Kruz has continued to ride out the ebb and flow of the citys fickle crowd.The bar boasts a robust drink menu, a tricked out pool table, darts and internet jukebox. But the crown jewels lie outdoors in the enclosed beer garden where smokers can seek refuge in comfort under the cascading warmth of heat in the dead of winter.The owners keep Milwaukees tradition of generously sized drinks at reasonable prices and a comfortable but upscale atmosphere without having a stick up their you-know-what. The one glaring drawback is the heavy use of lasers which would be easily ignored until your eyesight is painfully knocked out by any of the intense beams of light.Kruz offers no food save for a few bowls of snack mix that were left out from happy hour, which is a shame as they could easily upsell with some good pub pizza or other easily prepared entrees. The bartender was very friendly, engaging and kept the drinks coming. Thee restrooms were spotless and despite it being a weeknight, the bar was busy.When friends come to our city for a visit, I recommend Kruz.

Nice patio but if you dont have a drink in hand you are taking up valuable space according to the bartender. In short, rude staff.

Visiting from out of town, bar was super hot almost felt like they had the heat on, place had a horrible odor, bathroom was dirty, service was okay.

The couple, Men that own kruz are by far the nicest and one of the best professional bar ownes in the LGBTQ COMMUNITY! Bartenders are always friendly!!!!! Im heading down there this evening to see what kind of fresh meat the holiday has brought in? I as a 56yo gay man highly recommend KRUZ if your visiting Milwaukee.Sincerely Michael

Owner doesnt care about his veterans who may have objections to the mask.policy, but he allowed the bartending staff to remove their shirts during regular serving hours. I wont go back.

Came into Kruz at about 4pm, Thursday, October 10th. There were about 6 other guys in the bar. Bartender was busy mixing a drink for another customer, but was also talking to him for several minutes. Then he began futzing with his cell phone. After 5 minutes of being ignored, I took my money and left. Apparently, I was invisible to the bartender.

Nice comfortable tavern. Personnel & Patrons pleasant/friendly. Owner stopped to talk to us and was very nice.

Great ambiance. Great music. Great drinks and an overall great time if you want to go somewhere coy.
