Grand Massage

Fantastic experience! Visiting from out of town and found this gem. Im often wary of smaller places because you never know what they are going to offer. Got a very professional and amazing massage from the lady I was matched with. Worked diligently the whole time, no surprises in pricing or obligatory tip. I feel like Im gonna have the best nights sleep Ive had in a while. This is my number one recommendation for Modesto

One day I went for a massage, and before the massage, they asked me to pay $55 per hour. also she asked me for a tip and I told her I would pay $5, but she refused. she said the minimum tip should be $10, but I refused because of the way she treated me. She threw away the credit card and told me that we do not accept a tip less than 10 dollars and left without getting a massage.After a while, I went again another day, the receptionist told me that the massage had become 60 dollars an hour. Given my need for a massage, I accepted and paid 70 dollars, 10 dollars tip, but it was the worst massage I had ever had in my life (and he did not order a 10-minute interruption of my service, but rather he entered and cleansed me with pain, and now he did not feel anything improve

😂 I usually look up places without reading the reviews & something came across my mind to read the reviews & I’m glad I did cause I’m sure not going to come to this place ✌🏽sounds like they have a lot of ripping people off. I’m good. I rather take my money to where it’s worth it.

Edit to add that I have never left a negative review on a small business because everyone can have a bad day but this treatment still has me irate 3 days later! My 82 yo Mom called ahead today and they told her it would be $40 for 1 hour. When she got to her appointment, my mom requested a female masseuse and was told that the 2 women in the business were “busy” and she would do it herself (the receptionist) for 30 minutes only. My mom agreed and when she went to pay the same woman said it was $40! She said that she was quoted that for 1 hour and the lady said “No!” Then forced my mom to add a tip and when my mom said ok $3 , she said “ No! Must be at least $5!”I can’t understand what kind of LEGITIMATE business would treat clients this way?!?! Hmmm, maybe it’s not so legitimate and they aren’t interested in the females patronizing as much as they are interested in the males patronizing!!! What a disgrace!!! DO NOT GO AND MAYBE THEY’LL SHUT DOWN SOON!!!!

Massage was not worth it!! I was okay with the price of $35 for 45 minutes but when I went to go pay, there was an additional charge to use a card. On top of that, she asked me if I would like to leave a tip of $5, $10 or more! I did not like the fact that she was asking for a tip. Who does that? It is up to me whether I want to give a tip or not. Either way I was going to tip $3 because the massage wasn’t great but since she asked for a tip, I left without giving one. All the ladies were giving me a stare!

Worst massage of my life (not only did they trim 5 minutes from my service, I went in with no pain and now my back has never felt worse) and worse yet they DEMANDED a 35% tip.If you require a $10 minim tip (for all services, even if they only cost $30) then you should tell customers before (or have it written) and try to refrain from getting angry and YELLING at customers.My whole experience there was so ridiculous, I honestly thought maybe I was on candid camera.I think they either successfully ripped me off and are distastefully greedy or don’t understand that a 20% tip is acceptable AND standard and in this country the tip amount is discretionary (which means it’s up to the consumer and it’s not a set or fixed amount unless otherwise established upfront).Would strongly recommend the owners or operators of this establishment look up basic principles of customer service and avoid stress inducing things (like talking loudly in Mandarin while people are getting massaged or being extremely rude to a customer bc they gave a 20% tip instead of 35%).Transparency in pricing is important-even for low end places like this.

They literally forced me to leave a $15 dollar tip I wanted to leave a $5 to be nice even though the massage was alright . As she said no $5 $15 so I didn’t want to be rude but overall who does that

I have been going here for years. Since the new owners have taken over the business has gone down hill. I called at 6 pm and made appointments for four people, each a one hour massage. They called at 745 to confirm prompt arrival. I confirmed we were on the way. Arrived at 7:58 pm. We drive 15 minutes to get there and are told they can do two 30 minute massages and two 1 hour massages. Unfortunate for them we wont be back and will patronized another establishment moving forward.

I’ve been to this location a few times really trying to give this place a chance . I tried to look past some very unprofessional practices that took place each time. The front desk can be heard arguing with customers throughout the first half of your massage. On two different occasions the front desk told me I had to tip a minimum of ten dollars and actually reached to grab a ten dollar bill out of my hand. The receptionist/manager on one occasion actually came out of the building to confront a customer that didn’t tip ten dollars and harassed the customer until they were in a car. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

I uses to go here for many years. Now its terrible. This place has a new owner now and there is no staff, plus the foot massage is no longer 25 dollars its 35. Of course, everything has gone up but the guy that messaged me was terrible. he doesnt know what hes doing. I dont think hes even a massage cert. The owner is the lady in front.

I did go there for foot massage. The lady did a good job but surprisingly after massage they won’t let you go without paying the big tip!

I hate this massage experience at the spa. It was terrible. My dad scheduled an appointment for my sore leg to be massaged, so we went to the spa on time. I told the ladies there to rub the part of my leg that hurts the most. However, instead of giving a gentle massage, they put too much pressure on my leg that made me groan in pain and discomfort. I beg the lady to stop, but she doesn’t understand English. When she brought out her translator on the phone, I explained to her why my leg was hurting, then she started laughing claiming I need to do more warmups. Next day later after the massage, I had a bruise on my leg because that lady pressed into my leg so hard. I didn’t want to go to that place again. I rather go to a massage place where people speak English than people who merely speak Chinese.P.S. Don’t come to this place if you have a strained muscle on your leg or back.

Ive been going there for years. Ive tried others because they are 50 miles from home...but they are the BEST by far! Start with the one hour foot massage for $25. Its really head to toe, front and back! Im so glad theyre on the route to see my kids! I walk in in pain and walk out feeling GREAT!

90 minute foot and body massage last night. Been suffering neck/back from a 10 yr old car accident. Darn massage was painful and I wanted to tap out a couple of times. No pain No gain!! Woke up this a.m. sore, but the BEST I have felt after a decade of chronic pain and surgeries. I have been NON STOP since 0430 this a.m. THANK YOU!!!

Good price and massage. The male massager was putting all his weight on me I was in pain for next couple days. But I went in for foot pain came out feeling better. I wouldn’t recommend for body massage.

Came in spontaneously with a friend and I was pleasantly surprised. The 60min massage was fantastic for the price!! Foot soak and massage, hot stones on the back... would definitely come again!

I walked into this place in an immense amount of back pain feeling as if Id been in an accident. I never said anything about my back and the lady just seemed to know. Im amazed that I walked out of there a little taller and feeling like a brand new man. They have a customer for life in me!

I just had an AWESOME 60 minute for massage. Im 37 weeks pregnant and it was everything I wanted and needed.

I called to get a appointment and I asked about the tip they let me know that whether I like it or not I’m obligated to give them a tip minimum $10

Strong foot massage and even stronger full body. Nice folks all work here. Just respect them and they respect you back.
