I visited this club for a VIP event for the second time. When I arrived at the check-in with my motorcycle helmet (my motorcycle was parked across the street), the head bouncer insisted that my helmet was considered a weapon and was not allowed inside. When I requested to speak to the manager, the bouncer chose to ignore me. Another bouncer approached me and demanded $40 to store the helmet in his car, but I firmly refused. When the manager finally arrived, he unreasonably supported the head bouncers decision and insisted that I couldnt enter with a helmet. Despite my request to see the clubs policy regarding helmets, the manager had nothing to present. Disappointed by the lack of professionalism and respect, I chose to leave because it wasnt worth the trouble.I found the club itself to be mediocre at best, with an interior space better suited for budget business functions and tasteless drinks. The staffs unprofessional behavior made it clear that this is not the place to go if youre looking for a good time.
DO NOT GO TO THIS CLUB. I had the worst experience here for my 24th birthday weekend. The bouncer took one look at my ID and said they don’t accept those IDs. It was a very much REAL Massachusetts ID. I even had a second form of ID to prove to him and he didn’t care. Very rude and inconsiderate. A previous bouncer scanned it while I was in line and it was all fine until I got up front. That previous bouncer said he had no idea why he denied me. Regardless, I was not let in for no good reason. I spent money on tickets for no reason. $60 down the drain. The bouncer simply felt like denying me (As well as my boyfriend) for no reason at all and simply said that “he could.”I recommend going somewhere else. DO NOT WASTE YOUR NIGHT OR TIME ON THIS PLACE.
Saw Deniz Koyu and Frick and Frack on a Friday night in July and it was so much fun. Hadn’t heard of Frick and Frack to be honest but they really set the tone with a great set. Just great energy and vibes on the dance floor with all the other customers there. Everyone was enjoying themselves, having fun, had smiles on their faces, just a great overall energy. I guess I’m biased toward these kind of nightclubs though. Has a Vegas, Atlantic City kind of feel to them and I love that. The lightning display is so cool. Will def be coming back.
Bouncers outsider were great! Bouncers inside- downstairs specifically will GRAB you and move you out of the way with no warning. I was literally walking, minding my own business and had my arm grabbed and shoved the opposite way with no warning. Was very upset by this encounter. Upstairs was much better and bouncers were much more respectful.
Came here for a concert the other day to see PGONE and the space felt kinda small with everyone standing, people were smoking inside so not a fan of that. So hard getting out at the end too with people standing around and blocking the way. They didnt do a good job directing the crowd. Average experience for me.
Rude security. There is very little space for guests with no table reservation. Security likes to push people around and tell them to move forward, even though there is no space. Why do they sell tickets if there is no space? They expect people to push each other so that they can fit in a tiny dance floor. I will never go there again. Avoid this place at all cost. Drinks cost 50-100% more than in other clubs. Bad service, expensive and rude people.
Getting into the club was good managed, and the bouncers were nice.Within the club, the music and the lights were really good!!The prices for the drinks are really high and the space to dance on the dance floor is super crowded with barley any space to move. You see that there Fokus is on selling tables.Overall, it was a good experience, but be prepared if you go to Nebula you have to spend a lot on drinking and dancing is only partly possible.
If I could give this place 0 stars I would! There is absolutely no dance floor space everything is vip area and with a bunch of people who are just there to take picture with a bottle and a table and just sit there. It is terrible would never go again to this boring place and overpriced
Getting into the club was a mess there was no clear communication about what line was for people with pre brought tickets. Once we were in the club, there was a member of the security team that ruined our experience completely. He was constantly throwing us out of the way to maintain a “walkway” behind us and once we wanted to walk out he screamed at us and was like you need to go the other way you can’t walk here… so I’m very confused why there would be a walkway made but… It was so overly crowded I backed away from the crowd on purpose to get fresher air and every time I tried to do that he would throw us (literally) out of the way. It was a great spot for a postgame but we left immediately not sure if I will try this place again.
Went yesterday for my birthday bouncers were ok I see a lot of those comments, entrance was smooth checked for ID. But the comments are definitely true, they make you feel poor lol even if you can afford a table they are all reserved I guess. Because if the amount of reserved seats spots the entire place was kind reserved no were to more or dance. We arrive at opening 11pm and sat down upstairs, we asked the bartender how does it work, can we sit or buy a bottle or something, he explained that usually the promoters have the seats area reserved but we can sit and when someone ask us to move then to move. Great! Np when a girl came to tell us the move she flashes a phone light right at our faces like girl, very close it blinded me for a sec and goes “this area is reserved for my clients I’m ganna have to ask you to leave” with is ok because we where waiting anyways but the light flashing when she could have just come ask us and that’s it was insane for me, one bouncer inside also did that to another to tell her love but the place is soooo small that you can’t really stand anywhere, it’s all just reserved and the dance floor was packed.Good: the music was good!!! We paid tickets to see will sparks but the opening dj was also goodBad: the drink song so small and $25 each paid over $50 for two margaritas witch were good the first time the second was not then asked for coke and rum that tasted like water.another $50 something beers were $12.Some guy asked my bf if he has stuff, like stuff? As in drugs lol profiled much idk.Our tickets were online so $80 for two at the door someone said to another girl $60 each crazy and dress done was non existent so that’s good.
Was denied entry for wearing flats. Had a nice dress and cute zipped up sandals. Nothin in their dress code does it say no flats. Reading reviews they are all negative, I’d recommend going to a different club.
Nebula Nightclub in Manhattan is a cool spot with great vibes and music. The drinks can be a bit pricey, but hey, its Manhattan—we all know how it goes. Overall, its a fun place to hang out and enjoy the nightlife scene.
-5 disgusting service right as you walk in your greeted by Max … he’s definitely drugged out of his brains every time I see him and NO MATTER what time it’s always and issue in some way of getting in … they’re aggressive rude and make u feel like judged honestly that’s The worst thing in hospitality…. And they’re security inside don’t even get me started but yeah this place sucks sucks sucks so bad like they are just straight up ignorant and over rated I would highly recommend not coming unless u wanna be treated weird at the door lol THE ONLY CLUB I HAVE EVER HAD ANY ISSUES WITH IS this one. And I work in the hospitality industry so it’s just appalling.
I frequent alot of clubs and bars. Im a bar manager myself and love to draw inspiration from other establishments and vibes. I visted on a Tuesday night, im close with a few of the promoters there and decided to check out nebula because they always show love to my venues.Upon arrival staff was polite and respectful, they took me and a group of people to a section near the dj booth. I presume it was the promoter section. I stayed off to the side as i only knew the promoter, and 3 other patrons. I proceeded to dance with my friend, and the other guest that i knew but i stayed astray from the main group because i didnt know themAfter a while my friends conversed with the main group and explored the club more. I sat far off in the section next to no one, i talked to no one else and just sat and enjoyed my drink while on my phone. One patron sat somewhat close to me and tried talking to me but due to the dj booth being so close i heard gibberish. She got into a little argued with a couple i know and tried once again talking to me. Her friend approached me asking if i spiked her drink, i told her i haven’t responded to her once nor was i even near her drink. However 5 minutes later security escorted me out and told me 6 people have complained about me despite me being around or close to 4 - 5 other people. And i know all of them. I politely tell them i haven’t done anything and they can check the cameras. I never touched a drink that wasnt mine except for when my friend ( a promoter) told me to watch his drink. They took a picture of me, proceeded to claim i’ve been kicked out everytime i’ve come there despite only two nights out of the last year i’ve been there. And told me im no longer welcome without even hearing me out. As a bar/club manager i understand trying to avoid any possible situation regarding spiked drinks or uncomfortable guest, however they treated me like a joke and very unprofessionally. It was truly embarrassing, if you ever plan on coming here alone wear a body cam or hide in a corner i suppose.
The guy in the security was so rude and he ignored any question I had. Me and my friends don’t recommend that place because the “service” is not helpful and nice. Music is okay, but atmosphere is terrible and the people working there are mean. There is so many better places than this one in NYC
The staff was so rude I’m actually shocked. Me and my friend wanted to pay seperately and the woman at the counter lost it, she got so mad at me and started telling me to stop being so rude. I was so confused and asked her why are you getting angry about paying seperstelyb And she told me that she would kick me out. Anyways we got in and the first guard there told us off and pushed me I will never go there again. waste. of. money.
Horrible experience without even going in. My friend and I were well dressed, makeup done, looked nice etc. but were denied entrance because of her small backpack. We werent even here to attend the club, we came to see Breathe Carolina. Huge mistake clearly, security guards were super rude and nasty to us, clearly wanted to brush us off and not deal with us. One security guard told us to speak to someone else another security guard when we pointed out that they have a sign that says Bags and backpacks are subject to inspection said I say no. Absolutely disgusting we paid to see a band we liked and couldnt even get in. We better get our damn refunds. This is so messed up.
I was waiting on the line to get in for so long because the bouncer wanted to let skinnier mainly white girls that were behind me go in front of me, then when I asked is there a reason why I’m still waiting he replied are you not used to waiting? Then once I finally get in one of the workers told me to move. They discriminate and their attitudes are disgusting so much so that I don’t want to go back
Wish I was able to give 0 stars. Denied entry for no given reason. Real, over 21 IDs taken by security. Purchased ticket online just to not be admitted entry. Waste of time, night ruined, major headache. Poorly ran plain and simple, find somewhere else to go. Avoid.
Security were very disrespectful and racist to my minority friends. While others were treated with respect i heard rumors of this but actually witnessed it for me self and i did not like what i see i will definitely never be back here for any occasion
3.5/5. Great vibes, and the music was amazing, if you’re looking for a EDM style club then this is the place. But when it comes to drinks, this place is ridiculous, 35 dollar shots, and they don’t even offer free water, especially in a crowded and hot environment.
Atmosphere spectacular. The seating is a loss opportunity to capitalize on the views. Not sure why they would seat 7 dudes in a circle booth. The seating arrangement was highly uncomfortable. We asked our first waitress for an additional chair she rolled her eyes and forgot about our request. We ask the guy who served the water and he immediately got us a chair which allowed us to seat comfortably. The lobster roll was mid at best. Literally three small lobster meat on the bun, which was blasphemy considering NY is known for some sick loaded lobster rolls. The waitress continued to be short with us. She was terrible in so many ways. I felt like I was ordering from Omarosa the horrid tv personality. But AMA took over for her for some reason and AMA was awesome! AMA has a great personality and answered all our questions. AMA had us try more drinks and food. $1000+ tab
This place has thieves. They stole our phone and sunglasses of total worth $2k, hacked the phone and then staff behaved very rudely. Most of their staff abused women and touched me and my friends inappropriately. Never go to this club, worst place ever. Should be SHUT DOWN ASAP.
Scam club. Try your best not getting groped by the bounce. Promoter scams you to the club to make you pay you at door. Cherry on top, the bouncers inside the club molest which is just awesome :). Beware of this club, never go here, please save your money and the little mental patience you have.
This place sucks. only let 2 of my friends in and charged $50 for the rest. they said we didn’t have certain standards and that some of us weren’t 21 which WE ALL WERE. and i think they were homophobic which is absolutely absurd. they are so horrible and the bouncers were extremely rude. clubs like this always look for girls with big groups and they didn’t even let all of us in. i do not recommend nebula do not come here.
Worst nightclub ever! Staff extremely rude (an Asian dude literally abused a woman infront of me). Shocking. Also, they dont give tap water. The club charges for water which is illegal in nyc. The only option is to buy water and a small bottle costs $9.5. This place is a joke
Incredible return to NYC Nightlife. The club scene is alive and well in Midtown with some of the best sound, lighting and visual immersive effects ever to come to this Manhattan in years. Well done to ownership. Opening night was off the rails and expect this club and its lineup of incredible DJ talent to rock the neighborhood every night every weekend. We had a blast.
We were told we were on the guest list, but were each charged $60 each entrance fee.Drinks were $30 and $46 each that we ordered, which was a huge shocker for a club that wasnt anything special whatsoever.Music wasnt anything special and I dont think the DJs were known at all.I really do not know how the owners can charge so much money, unless their business model relies on one-off tourists visiting for a first and last time, once they realise two drinks would cost each person $136 after entrance fee!(Updated 6 weeks after visiting)Thanks to the management for finally responding 6 weeks after my visit. Please provide an email address and I will email some recommendations for improvements that will vastly increase customer experience and create repeat custom.
THE best Nightclub and Hospitality in Nee York City. Once inside, you are guaranteed to have your own unique experience no matter the section or perpendicular bar setup. The light show is one of a kind along with the transitional moving led monitors encapsulating every motion of the music being played. Truly a unique experience. Wish I could give more than 5 stars.
I researched dress code online. They had no mention of a dress code on the website at all so i went with grey khaki shorts and got declined at the door. Had tickets and everything.
Nice visuals, the dance area is small then it is quite hard to dance (most of the space is for table service which is fine but for events is hard to move), cocktails are a little expensive but not surprising at all is the city and is close to the 42th, sound is decent, bartenders and bouncers where nice, in summary Ill go back for specific events.
My daughter and her friends were at your club last night. Let me start by saying that in her 22 years of life I’ve never been the type of mom to get involved in her business, however the treatment of your club staff outside is disrespectful and appalling. You let 3 of them enter. Then you told my daughter and her other friends that you couldn’t let them in bc you have standards. She went and spent $$$ on new clothes and shoes bc she wanted to look good for your so called “upscale club”. All while she tells me you were allowing people in with jeans. Once her other friends realized that 2 of them didn’t get in the club they came outside. You then refused admission to all of them. My daughter was crying for an hour after arriving home. Do you realize how saying something like “you don’t meet our standards “ crushes self esteem and self worth? That is a horrible way to treat people. She is beautiful, not overweight, had her hair done and makeup plus wearing a new dress , shoes and more. The only standard she perhaps cennot meet is height as she’s petite. She is 22 and legal drinking age so couldn’t be that but she looks younger than her age. You need to be careful what you say and how you say it. In addition maybe you should verbally or in writing list these “standards”. Bc we would love to know which weren’t met as you allowed jeans and casually dressed people into a so called “upscale” club. You are not upscale but rather a trash club bc that’s how you treat human beings, like trash. You literally kicked her to the curb and made her feel like garbage. You should be ashamed of yourself. In a world where younger people have been through covid and other issues you should show a little kindness. My daughter also lost her younger brother a few years ago and struggles to deal with that daily. But you don’t look at each guest as a person with feelings and emotions. Instead you look at them as $ or garbage. I will never set foot near your establishment and will tell everyone about this incident. Horrible way to treat people.
I have never felt the need to write a bad review. The club it self is cool, just your normal nyc club. What I always have a problem with is the security that works there. First time I went (for an event I paid tickets for), a table next to me got into a fight and they kicked me out and wouldn’t listen to me that I wasn’t a part of the table and I came by myself, my jacket was also inside and they wouldn’t let me come back in to retrieve it, it was middle of December by the way. Still decided to go back, when asking security a simple question I was ignored, even when I asked another one, still nothing. Went again, same thing, it’s like talking to a wall. They only talk to men. I have never experienced such disrespect from any other security and I don’t know if that’s what they are told to do but it’s super weird. Everyone local also says it’s the worst club, so save yourself the trouble and don’t go here, so many better options.
Fedde le Grand was great!BUT the white bouncer with the long beard and a flat cap STEALS.Apparently his name is Roger, but I don’t know.I literally saw him steal $10 and back pocket it. When I confronted him that I saw him he completely lied about it.Not a good look when your bouncers steal from club goers. Beware
DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! 👎🏻 3/8/2023Bought tickets to go see Sickick (one of our fav djs) and unfortunately it was worst nightclub I have ever been to in my adult life. Drinks are wayyyy over priced. The whole nightclub is dedicated to those who reserve a VIP table. The dance floor is ridiculously small and everyone was hammered and inconsiderate. Will not go here again 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
Manager Curtis is extremely unprofessional, he should not be a manger at any club, he admitted they use the bottles left over from customers who buy them and use them to serve people drinks after, this is extremely unsanitary and this place should get shut down under his management. Or he should be replaced, I’ve never had anyone be so inhospitable and disrespectful. I hope management takes this as a sign to reconsider because he has zero hospitality skills, and this will honestly hurt the business, I will not be coming back, and I don’t recommend anyone to spend a dime on a drink that has touched the mouth of others, thank you Curtis for being as drunk as you were and revealing this little secret, disgusting!
Was there December 23rd 2022. It was packed. Very cool place. Everyone in there was having a great time. The staff was great. They seemed very down to Earth. When broken glass and puddles needed cleaned up or If someone drunk was getting too close to our table space they were very quick to respond. Service was on point. Id be very happy with this staff if I ran/owned the place. The visuals and technology were very clean. The air quality cleared itself every so often. Not sure what system was enabling that to happen but the air in there would get fresh real fast, periodically. I would love to return there one day. I had table service. Didnt get to experience the service from the bars yet. The couches were nice. No line to use the mens bathroom, plenty of urinals.
Overall a fairly standard Manhattan nightclub. I got here early (~11:15) and barely had to wait in line. The place was pretty empty when I got in, but filled up by ~12:30. The dance floor space is definitely small, and much of the floor is taken up by tables, however there was reasonable space to move around the edges. Drinks were pricey, as tends to happen at these types of places. The vibe was very models-and-bottles, and the music matched (EDM/House/Smattering of pop remixes), so if youre looking for hip music you may want to look elsewhere. Id likely be hesitant to see a big name here just because the floor space would get CRAMPED.Overall, I wouldnt be opposed to going back if some friends wanted an NYC club experience, but I also wouldnt go out of my way to go again. Either way, Id make sure to show up early to avoid the line.
51$ for a ticket to see bingo players. 100$ for two mixed drinks. The venue is tiny as heck as most of its only tables which you have to pay extra for. The music was awful and ended up leaving before the show even started.
Standard midtown bar. Trouble is the dead eyed, sullen faced bartender girl at the main bar last night - I ordered one double tequila neat - paid $47 - why? Because she she added 20% gratuity without asking - could have easily added more myself by accident. Check your checks before you tip and sign at this spot folks! Also I witnessed the staff bodycheck a guest out of their way, (almost knocking him over) while breaking down the step and repeat and bringing in some seating. To add insult to injury: after pushing him, they yelled at him. Some of the staff were lovely. So its a mixed bag. Nice interior, decent sound.
WOMEN BEWARE!!! this place is incredibly unsafe for women. Management is sleazy and staff will not protect you. My friend’s drink was spiked here and staff did nothing
They do not have free tap water to give people even after you spend almost $30 for one drink. The small 5 ounce water is $10 per bottle.
They were very discriminative at the door. They had different standards for different people. It’s just unfair. Once security has decided that you’re not in, There’s no negotiation, even if the security was making things up or choosing by race.
Terrible. Space makes no sense. Small and dingy with disproportionately large bottle service areas. I was there for a wedding, but you wouldnt know it from how the staff treated the guests. And there were actual grandmas in attendance.
They took my friend’s ID just because he was from Malta and they said it wasn’t a real ID.I paid 150 on dice and they told me I couldn’t get in with that tickets , so I paid another 150 to get in after that the guy tried to charge me $50 more. When I went outside my friend was still inside and he drunk too much, I tried to went back in to find him and they told me I couldnt and I needed to pay again. After explaining the situation that my friend needed help, 4 bouncer tried to fight me and I needed to run away, they told me that if I was getting closer I would have been in trouble. We wait for 30 m for our friend that was looking for our help and now we are going to report everything to the NYPD.
Nightclub, no food. Went for employee holiday party and the offered “specialty” drinks for our group. Great layout but as it got crowded it was hard to move around. We had open bar for the event and it was a lot of standing in line. I do like how you can store your things in the “benches” and dance/stand on top of them too.
It is a good place, very good music and lights. The problem is that there is no place to dance. If you buy a ticket to see someone, you really have to be prepared for them to jump on you or hit you from all sides. The security people are very rude and cold.
The manager Kurtis, is one of the most unprofessional and rude managers I’ve ever seen at a night club. It’s something to be strict at the door, but it’s another thing entirely to be rude to your customers inside the club. I’ll never spend my money here again and I strongly recommend you dont either. I’ve never seen a manager take the side of an employee who was wrong, she snatched a bottle that was 30% full from the table and refused to give it back.InsanityDisgustingThere is a reason the place is never full anymore
Staff that direct crowd was visibly racist and rude. Do go if you want to have a horrible day added to your life.
Get a table - it will make your experience that much better. The technology, lights, and sound system are one of NYCs best.
Yesterday the soft opening is amazing!!!(Yes the preview soft opening is for exclusive indeed…I saw somebody got angry on google review page because they wait in line a little bit long….but the first-day soft opening meaning the staffs and everything is working together for the very first time, that’s why the number of guests are limited, Ppl should be tolerant of just a little wait outside and try to understand. I mean…. Yo New Yorkers! We got a brand new high end night club in years!!!!) I love this place!!! The lights the stage the tables the staffs and even the gate, omg I love that gate. We will definitely come back a lot!! Highly recommended!!
This club works with a promoter named Christopher and a guy named Albert Lee. They will scam you out of your money. Do not pay them, I wouldnt do any business with this club as long as they work for them.
Here’s the pros and cons. Pros, a club, somewhere to go, loud music, drinks, it feels packed but only because it’s small. You’re not missing out on much I promise, there’s no need for you to come here if you’re not getting a bottle or a table.Cons: No room, dance floor is very small, it gets very tight there, it’s mainly designed for people getting bottles and tables. Not really designed for those just looking to dance and get a few drinks. People associated to the club are snobs who cut the line with their group of friends regardless of you being one of the first ones in line. Prices almost as expected in a Manhattan club, but some drinks/shots were definitely going for way more than I’ve paid at other clubs. And it’s not like they’re pouring big shots or making extra strong drinks.I got there early early enough to be within the first 1-2 dozen people on line, then people started showing up without disclosing who they were and started cutting the WHOLE line, and people were asking including the people around me and myself. No answers. One of the guys who responded who had long hair, was really snobby and said not to worry about it. We all eventually came to the conclusion that he was associated to the club on some kind of way after someone confirmed that he did the same thing the night before. This guy was just letting all of his friends cut the line and he would randomly grab ladies and ask them if they wanted to join his table.People that got there early voiced that they didn’t like what was going on and especially the vagueness behind it. None of the security or people cutting wanted to answer to our complaints. We were met with a “deal with it”. So of course we did because we wanted to get into the club.Again not really a place you have to worry about missing out on. Go once if you must but don’t FOMO. I went once and I’m done! The allure is completely gone. Next.
Do not come here. I cannot stress the phrase “DO NOT COME HERE” enough to see any DJ or artist perform or any kind. I rarely ever write a Google review, so that should tell you how poor my experience was here. I came to see a DJ perform, which was meant to start at 11:00 p.m. (that is the time that doors were supposed to open). The doors did not open until 12:30 a.m. Actually, when I arrived at 11:20 there was a truck unloading the DJ’s equipment. I paid $40 per ticket for general admission. General Admission means you get a closet sized dance floor to feel claustrophobic in for the entire night (: unless you want to pay much more for the VIP service, which didn’t seem worth it considering the tables were way overcrowded and people were shoving each other. The entire operation is a mess. I’ve never waited that long for any music artist and I’ve been going to these for 15 years. I will not be back and I would not recommend this experience to anyone who values their time because this business will not value yours. There are plenty of other nightclubs in NYC worth your time.I should also add that because the general admissions area was so small and therefore overcrowded, I was forced by a bouncer to move to the sitting area outside of the venue. So I waited 1 hour and 30 minutes to be told that there are too many people on the dance floor and that I have to leave. Everyone who comes here has a right to know how dysfunctional this business is.
Here we go, Wednesday night 12/27 and we came to see Morten. First time here and we figured since it’s Wednesday, it should be breezy but we we were wrong. It was raining and once we got here they made us wait in line for about 10 minutes before they check ID, then another five minutes to get permission from the bouncer to go in. It was 10:45, it was empty inside, there was no reason for them to have us wait in line and let everyone else get soaked. Once inside, we realized that 70% of the floor is devoted to table service, we stayed at the edge, but security with a dumb long beard shooed with his hands because we were to “close” to the rope. The bouncers/security are very pretentious. Don’t come here, not worth it. They don’t care that you have tickets, they don’t care to leave you waiting in the rain even though the venue is empty. Overpriced drinks too.
Terrible experience unless you pay 1000s they will be expect you to stand near the exit. This club is not welcoming in the least!
Rough security guards. There is no space to move, they constantly push you to preserve ViP space. Do not waste your time there.
They like to discriminate so if your of African American Decent I wouldnt suggest you go here
The worst club Ive been in my life...small AF, bad music, 150$ minimum to get in (its a credit that you can spend on drinks), wardrobe only cash. Really bad experience overall. Will never ever ever go to that place again!
DO NOT GO HERE! If you want to have a good time, avoid the security at Nebula. Bad music, people with no personality and bad music.
I had the worst experience of my life on 5/11/23!! I came from out of state to attend a afterparty!! Pure discrimination & racism! I attended the party as a VIP guest. I showed my ticket. I was never allowed in the VIP section. I asked multiple nightclub staff about receiving a wristband for VIP. I was ignored and brushed off. I noticed other ethic groups were escorted in VIP, one by one. They had wristbands on. I had VIP like them. Why was I not given a wristband or allowed to go in VIP? The club staff and bouncer was so rude to me and other friends. It was overpacked. Pushed, knocked over, and elbowed by the staff each time they wanted to get by. I constantly found myself falling over on people because I was pushed. Someone could of really gotten hurt. Making money is not everything. Reselling and over pricing and not even giving benefits that were listed on the ticket. The DJ made a very disrespectful comment about real hair on the microphone. Guests and I were uncomfortable. The worst club I have ever been too. I will never go back!! Something must be done Nebula!!
The most terrible club, the waiter is the rudest, the freshest cocktail was taken from the table
If I could rate this place 0 stars I would in a heartbeat. This entire establishment was a complete scam. I should’ve known based off of the miscommunication between the workers outside managing the lines that it was going to be a long night. Myself and my group of friends paid an arm and a leg for VIP. We were supposed to get food, which never happened at all, open bar which the bartenders were beyond rude and the drinks that were made were garbage. We were drinking juice. We asked 5 plus workers about what we were supposed to be getting and every single worker was absolutely clueless. No one knew anything. The DJ was hot cross buns on top of it. They filled the entire floor with tables not allowing any room for any of the people around. Everywhere you looked in the club not a single person was dancing, not a single person could move, it genuinely looked like not a single person was having a good time in this place. I highly recommend everyone to stay away from this establishment. You will not enjoy yourself. Place was an absolute scam.
From someone who never reviews anything...Went last Saturday 4/15. Booked a vip table with a minimum spend and highly recommend anyone going here to do the same.Pricing was very reasonable and I have been to many other places that charge WAY more for way less.Service was 10/10. From the doorman, to the security, waitress, manager...etc. Everyone seemed generally happy to be at work there, which is always a good sign that things are being done right. The atmosphere was dope and the music was good. Crowd was fun. Definitely going back, and would encourage others to try this place out asap. Thanks for a great night guys!
Im not sure what is up with all of these poor reviews. I was super nervous to come here, but I couldnt pass on my favorite DJ Will Sparks last week & honestly, Nebula security didnt give me a problem, the vibes were awesome & I had a great night! The drink prices are definitely insane being $26 for a cup. The dancefloor did get crowded but I disagree that there wasnt enough space for people. Ive been to Terminal 5 and there was way more on top of each other than Nebula. My biggest concern was me looking like im 16 when I am 22 years old and the bouncers giving me an issue, but they did not and actually were very polite. I would give a shot. These reviews had me second guessing but I am glad I went for it and I will definitely be back at Nebula!
No dancing space. Floor plan: 90% VIP tables 10% GA floor space.I frequent clubs for artist performances. As someone who brings in big groups to these kind of events. I can confidently say Nebula is NOT the place for a live event / Dj.The entire venue is all VIP tables taking up the entire space. There’s a very tiny section in the front for a few GA guests.-I consistently saw Male staff on floor being extremely rude to anyone not in VIP.-Witnessed VIP ticket holders get denied with the “it’s full” excuse when really it was only at 50%. But then seconds later allowing 5 others access who just walked in and didn’t know anybody.Just looks like just another owner trying to milk the attendees with nonsense.Thank goodness I didn’t host a special event without attending as a guest first because I almost did…
If you’re a person of color I strongly do not recommend. And to the management, if your staff ever plans on using the hard R, maybe rethink your interview process. Besides the blatant racism, most of the staff was just straight up rude. The club layout is horrible, so if you don’t plan on buying a table, don’t plan on showing up because there will be no space for you. It’s basically like if you don’t plan on spending the big bucks then you don’t matter. I’m never one to leave reviews, but this was just so bad not too. Save yourself and find somewhere better.
Terrible experience, How can I start?Security staff seem to harass customers, they push rudely to pass without asking permission nicely and they do it all the time. They did not search anyone at the entrance, at least they did not search me or anyone who was with me, anyone could bring in a weapon. My ears wanted to explode with the sound, very bad place for a techno party, anyone who is a true techno fan is not going to want to go to this place.Maybe its a good bar, but its terrible for events where a large dance floor is needed. It was my first time and it will surely be the last.
$$$, I do not understand “Ladies are free by 11pm” when we got in before then and was charged for $80 total for two people and men were more expensive. I guess this nyc, so I really can’t complain.Atmosphere is definitely a vibe. VIP tables are limited of spacing and dance floor as well. Bathroom was nice, but need a better placement for toilet paper. Also they were strict on who can wait for who by the bathrooms to de litter the areaDrinks expect $20+Bouncers are rude as expectedMusic choice was mid
🗣DO NOT GO TO THIS CLUB! THE WORST CLUB I’VE EVER BEEN TO IN NEW YORK CITY. THEY ARE RACIST, RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL!! ESPECIALLY SECURITY IN THE VERY FRONT. THEY NEED TO SHUT THIS CLUB DOWN IMMEDIATELY!! PROCEED WITH CAUTION!
The best club all days of the week. These people are genuine and truly fun party people.
My group of friends and I attended the New Year’s party that they offered. Really disappointed. Paid $209 for “VIP status” and got nothing in return for what they guaranteed. At the start, we were waiting in the VIP line while it’s raining and once we reached the front of the line, they tried moving us to the other line where the general admission people. We asked everyone that worked there what “VIP status” was and what it entailed, and everyone we asked was clueless as they did not understand what was going on. We were also promised hors d oeuvres as listed on the website. Did not see a single food item throughout the night. Another thing is that we were guaranteed a 5 hour open bar but the bartender refused to serve us after our second drink. They also couldn’t do shots or make cocktails. At midnight we were told that we get a complementary champagne toast, but we never received the FREE champagne. The DJ was also really bad and borderline horrible. Played the same beat throughout the night, didn’t play any songs, and wasn’t good enough for people to start dancing. If you were there and looked around, you would see everyone just standing and not moving because of how small the place is and how poor the music selection was. Based on my night it seems like we paid $209 just to get in the place with nothing added. If I could give this place 0 stars I would because I don’t recommend anyone to come to this place. Biggest scam of my life and owners should be ashamed and fix it.
If I could give 0 I would. Total scam, false marketing of concerts, drinks are crazy expensive and you probably get a drop of actual liquor per drink. DONT GO
They act like real ids are fake just because they’re not smart enough to check ids from other states. clown bouncers
Change my mind about this place I paid my ticket for v.I.P they dont even let me in the vip way paid for vip andnot get in 200$ I spent
I understand you need to be tough working in a night club in NYC but most of the staff are unbelievably rude to the extent that totally ruined our mood for the night. Why would we pay to be treated like this? We were only there to have a good time but got completely the opposite. They should seriously consider FIRE AND REPLACE their staff with people who are not cold-bloodily rude. I was initially glad to see a new club opening but I already regret coming back for a second time and there will certainly NOT be a third.First of all, they turned away a few of our guy friends who were visiting NYC and forgot to change to long pants even though they paid for the tickets. The bouncers said absolutely no unless they pay $2000 for a table that covers 4 people. It’s not like anyone can see anything below their face inside cuz it’s crazy packed.Second, the dance floor is insanely cramped since they put tables everywhere including a huge area right below the DJ station. If you dance or even stand near the table line (not even touching it), the security guy would rudely yell at you and threaten to throw you out of the club. That guy needs to be fired.WORST club experience ever, even though the music was fine that night. When I want to get a table next time, I would NOT spend the money here and I would not recommend you do either.
Honestly one of the worst experience Ive ever had. The promoters are sleazy and the bouncers are on a power trip. I went with a group for a birthday and was told we could all get in for free except guys had to buy tickets. RIGHT AFTER guys bought tickets the promoter said girls had to pay $20 each to get in. Why not tell us that from the start? It was really sleazy theyre just tryna steal your money. Then the bouncers kicked us out of our table that we had booked and said we didnt pay for our table. We tried to talk to them but they tried to kick us out saying we were drunk . The inside of the club looked nice but the Staff was terrible and rude. Id never go back again. Theres way nicer clubs in NYC
- Good music and atmosphere. New and relatively clean.- Ticket (cover) price was about $30.- Drink prices are $25+ per drink (Manhattan standard).- Nice people overall, it was a bit more upscale -- the entry price and # of tickets sold limit how many people can attend.- I was going to dock a star for this, but chose not to, since this could be easily corrected. In my experience, the staff was not coordinated:1. They were unable to explain to my other party members why to activate their tickets, so I had to help them myself. The bouncers only said It has to look like his. If someone asked how to buy a ticket, I wonder if they would have known how to explain it.2. Later, was told by an employee at the bottom of the stairs that upstairs was open, and that I could go up. I walked up and was told to return downstairs by another employee up top.Final verdict: Was fun, would return. My group had a good time!
Great place! Had so much fun. Would definitely recommend.
I booked a birthday party & table for my friend and we had an excellent time. Sara was our vip host and went above and beyond by picking some special items for the table and helping all of our guests get inside, and helping us pick which bottles to order and such. The doorman AR was also very friendly and welcomed our guests. TEN STARS. Would repeat!
Events does not fit into the description on the flyer at all. Spent $200 and got scammed. Disputing with my credit card company now
This was the worst customer service I had ever experienced before, from start to finish. When I got to the spot it was pouring rain and there were 4 security guards that were nothing but rushing me to show them my ticket. As they were nice and dry under their individual umbrellas, I had asked to one of them to share their umbrella with me or let me get under a hood while I looked for my ticket properly. This person got annoyed at this and said “no”, while I witnessed another security guard helping this caucasian girl covering her from the rain as she was coming out. Once I get inside, I explained everything to the manager making her aware of how rude I was being treated, and for no reason. The manager (or so she said she was) didn’t seem to care at all, telling me “they were simply doing their job”. As soon as the clock hit 3:45am they turned the music off, so I went upstairs and sat in the waiting area as my girl friend was getting her coat. One of the guards from earlier yelled to me “you have to go” and didn’t even let me speak as I tried to tell him I was waiting for my friend. He kept telling me to leave and proceeded to put his hands on me as he literally pushed me outside. There were other people sitting in that same waiting area, and for whatever reason me and my friends were the only ones that got rushed and pushed outside in this same manner. All of this as it was still raining and my uber wasn’t there yet. I’ve never felt this disrespected, discriminated and attacked before at an establishment. I will never be coming back again, and wouldn’t recommend to anyone that’s a minority to do so either.
If i could give this a 0/10 i would. the bouncers were horribly rude and didn’t give my ID the time of day even though it was very real and i am 21 years old. It was disappointing to walk all the way there for them to turn me away. I asked the first bouncer for a second opinion and he said “go ahead! anything else?” *very sarcastically* and i said nope that’s good and when i went to ask the other bouncer, the original bouncer legit ran over to tell them my ID was fake when i swear to god to all of you that it is not. i am so upset by this experience that i am writing about it and i have NEVER written a review on anything. bouncers were rude and obviously do not have a life. on top of that they won’t allow a valid 21 year olds ID but will accept a 14 year olds fake that ended up in the hospital due to alcohol poisoning just a few weeks ago. These bouncers need more training considering the fact they are bouncers in Times Square New York where they are going to see all 50 US Id’s daily. Not worth your time, there are millions of other amazing bars and clubs nearby that you should hit over this one. Plus there were tons of creeps and homeless people along with a car that followed us for a block or two right after leaving.
If I could give less than one star I would. When your line takes 15+ minutes…that blows. When you find out that it’s taking so long because you have one security guard pleading to the others to let in the underdressed (lingerie from head to toe), UNDERAGE girls? Disgusting. One security guard seems to have morals, yet no conviction, and just shrugs his shoulders when the one who believes the place “doesn’t have enough girls” leads them to the back doors.I hate that I gave this establishment a single penny of support when buying my ticket. Artists performing here might want to consider the large amount of listeners that would rather leave than be caught dead entering a place that seems like it would rather cater to the whims of older men wishing to party with little girls than the appropriate clientele for the venue.
Small place, but DJ is solid. Great experience!
Worst experience ever. Came at 2am Tuesday night, not informed of the difference between vip and general admission. Kept at a line for over an hour and was not let in when the bouncer at the other line had people going in. After an hour wait, was rudely informed that our lane was CLOSED! Was provided no explanation when asking for one. Very racist club that selects entry audience based on night of event. Very rude, arrogant and unprofessional securities. Highly unrecommended. Do no go!
I was pretty skeptical after all of the terrible reviews, but I had a good time with my friends. It looked like there were two lines, one for people w/ tickets and one for w/o. Since we had tickets (this was for Eric Prydz) we didnt have to wait in line for even a minute, straight in and seamless check-in process, no harassment by any bouncers like Ive read in these reviews - I want to say we got there at like 11:30 but it was a while ago. We all had casual attire on, but they require pants and no hats. Just try and look nice but dont let the dress code give you too much anxiety. When you walk in, theres a bar to the left and some space between that and a large area they reserve for table service. We all (8 of us) stayed in that space the whole time and made our own dancefloor, and were glad we did since it looked super crowded in the front and we had plenty of room to dance. I would recommend this to you if youre going and dont mind being towards the back. You get some grade A people watching in as well of all of the table service people right in front of you trying to impress each other. Im not racing to go back, but I would if an artist I really liked came. If youre expecting a Brooklyn warehouse rave-type event, youll be disappointed probably.
Awful. The bouncer is so stupid. We had a birthday hat and he said we cannot go in with the hat. We put the hat aside and he made a scene and didnt let us in unless we apologized. It was a friends birthday and everyone we so excited to go but he ruined the night. Will never go there, dont go there. NYCs full of clubs and bars! You dont need to be insulted and have your time wasted bc someone is so full of themselves.
I want to emphasis some of the other one star reviews here about the dance floor. They need to reconsider the space they give where it isnt just table/roped off to everyone else. The drinks were super expensive and the vibes werent fun because it felt too inclusive. Bathrooms are really nice though!
I’m from Boston and realised how better off the scenes are there than here.We went to this place and were told we are on a guest list and then charged us 60$. Promoters are super rude and have no etiquettes. Literally he said now for you guys 100$ entry fee because we were trying to reach a decision. Seems like a hustling business and desperate for visitors.Worst experience. Would never visit this place ever again.
The price of alcohol is ridiculous. I got 2 shots of white tea for $47. The dance area is quite small unless you are invited to the VIP section, which will happen if you’re female and it will be by Indian men who will be very persistent and will not leave you alone.
Went here for a NFT event. This is the old circle, if I recall correctly.- pretty large venue for a club; larger than marquee/lavo- audio system is pretty good - not overly loud, but clear highs and excellent bass- bar downstairs and upstairs - good liquor selection- upstairs seating is incredibly uncomfortable - the benches are hard as a rockOverall, I enjoyed it. The music thumps, the space is decently large, and the visuals are excellent.
The security at this venue last night during the 90s Forever NFT party were some of the rudest I have ever experienced. Ive never been talked down to so much by staff at a venue in my life. Not only were they rude but they were not informed of the difference between VIP and general admission from the beginning causing some extra long lines and not having the VIP section bar set up (which is not their fault but management). Definitely wouldnt come back.
One of the worst experiences i’ve ever had. The place is nice besides been too small since they put tables everywhere but here comes the fun part.Me and a friend paid for a greygoose bottle and a few red bulls and i asked the bottle server if her tip was included and she said no so i gave her money and found out when i got the receipt there was 20% of tip already. So besides paying double tip, there was a indian guy cleaning our table and he was poking me and my friend allllllll nighttttttt longggggggggg asking for money!!!! We gave him money 4 times and he kept poking us asking for more… after giving him 4 twenty bills we gave him a 5 dolars bill and he threw the money back at us lol.Last but not least, my receipt shows 971.81 including tips, operation fee and taxes… somehow they charged me 1057,00. Like howww???????????? You give a receipt of 971.81 with tips fees and taxes and then you add another 80 bucks into it?
I was invited by the host of the party/DJ so I wasn’t too concerned about the other reviews I read about bouncers since I was on the guest list and don’t usually have issues. But…these people were SO RUDE. Insisted my name wasn’t on the list (even though it was). These men were clearly drunk on power. They wouldn’t let us in until the DJ was physically standing next to us and even then the bouncers were giving us a hard time. Once we were inside it was fun, but truly nasty staff manning the doors. Would have given 2 starts if not for a good time inside, but not worth the strife outside. Plenty of other clubs to go to!
I was skeptical after reading a lot of the other reviews. I’m not a trust fund baby and I got my ticket through DICE. Overall, I had a great experience. Entire staff was good. Space was tight. Drinks are expensive but what do you expect from an NYC upscale nightclub by Times Square in 2022, get over it. I didn’t notice a lot of people getting turned away. The group I was with even had questionable dress attire but everyone got in and there were definitely others who got in dressed more casually. This review is for those who are afraid they’ll be immediately treated like those who left the bad reviews for this place. I had a blast.
Paid to get in last night after reading a nytimes review stating that this was supposed be an old school club where people danced that wasn’t focused entirely on table service. When we got in, there was an absolutely minuscule sliver of the dance floor open to people without tables. If you got even close to a table rope, which was impossible to avoid given the tiny space open to everyone else, a bouncer would rudely yell at you. An absolutely disastrous experience if you’re not at a table. Do not waste your money. The club management should seriously reconsider the configuration of the dance floor.
We had an amazing experience there, we went last Saturday and have an unforgettable night, it was super lit, the music and sound system are another level, they bring big DJs always, lights, lasers, smoke it’s an experience!!The place opened at 11 pm and there were a lot of people already, great atmosphere, everyone was dancing, really cool vibes.Great staff, very professional, and good vibes. We definitely love it we’ll be visiting soon again for sure
The club looks fantastic. Design is totally different of what we can see in any other club in the city. The staff is top class, everyone has been great to me, even tho the club was really busy. My advice is to come early because the line gets big, and as anywhere, the entry can get complicated. The sound system and visuals deserve the visit ! You won’t see anything like that unless going to BK, or Vegas. I recommend heavily going there thru promoters!
Bouncer Bryan was very rude, asked me to go outside and I explained we were waiting for someone inside to come get me and my friend. He proceeded to tell us that we need to go outside and then didn’t want to let me in. Lied and told the other bouncers I pushed him. Couple minutes later light skin guy (don’t know if it was a manager) came out and was also very rude and told me I needed to apologize to the bouncer without even knowing the facts. I did not touch him what so ever. Never been to a nightclub to be treated wrongfully specially If I’m going to go spend my money ! Never going there again.
Let’s start by saying . YES. Im disappointed…I saw the cool tick tok just like everyone else. Unfortunately…it was a Corny tourist attraction!!!!!! Packed to the brim with confused tourists, not enough room to dance or drink comfortably. Save your money!!!! Go somewhere else outside of 42nd street!!!!! Take it from a REAL NEW YORKER !!!! Womp womp womp.. Extremely lame experience…save your money!!!!!!!
Don’t go!! Thief all the time! I lost my wallet when I was dancing. I had a shoulder bag. It was fast even my friends in front of me didn’t notice it. Last time my other friend lost her 2 phones. I reported to the manager and security they didn’t do anything, and seems it happens very often. I’m so disappointed.
I would have given a 0 star if that was an option. The experience I had last night at the Bassjacker Halloween party was one of the worst experiences I had at a venue. Not to mention the overcrowded venue where they just kept on allowing more people in, the security was unbelievably rude. We saw a long line when we arrived at Nebula, so we went over to ask why we had to wait when we bought the tickets AND what the shorter line (the line on the left side of the front door) was for. One of the guards did not give us a clear answer and kept on helping those who were “guest listed”. He held us cluelessly hanging by the middle barricaded area. When he saw us again, he talked down to us saying he doesn’t understand why we are standing there BEGGING(we asked just once lol) and that we have to wait in a line because we haven’t spent the money (meaning table or bottle service, im assuming). It was one of the most offensive comments I have heard my entire life. He was extremely unprofessional, rude, and he ruined our night. Totally unacceptable.Oh, the music was not bad at all but we are in nyc. You can find other clubs that offer both good music and manners. I will personally never return here again, and I will spread the words to my friends and family so they can be aware of what choices they willl be making when they choose their venue to party. Please save your night everyone.
Don’t go there for EDM music. This place is very trashy. Music is garbage as hell.
Take your money elsewhere, this place is an absolute joke and deserves 0 stars. Ive never met as unpleasant and rude and obnoxious staff ever in my life. I was on the VIP list, and when my friends and I got in line, the blonde woman at the front gave us a dirty look and told us to get into the normal line and cut us off before we could say anything. Note, we were dressed to the dress code as well as stone cold sober. I double checked, and we tried to go back to the VIP line, again she told us to go to the normal line and said in a snotty tone to the bouncer I dont know why they keep trying to go into VIP, I told them to get into the other line already in front of us as if we werent even there. We finally got in after waiting and spent $25 each on watered down well cocktails. Later on, my friend who got there after us was not allowed in. After politely and not at all raising my voice (aside from having to speak loud enough over the music) trying to explain to the bouncer that she was with my party, he threatened to throw us out. I strongly suspect racism was involved as we were a group of PoC women and did not witness similar behavior at non-PoC groups ahead of us.Take your business and dollars to a place without disgusting business practices and condescending employees.
Nebula is one of the best - if not the best - club venues in NYC compared to all the rest. I am obsessed with the moving ceiling visuals and how it compliments the vibe for any DJ who plays here. The first floor has a nice, open concept with table service in the center and GA by the sides and front where the DJ is and the upstairs is perfect for viewing. They bring in the best producers from all around the world and put in a lot of thought into the overall design. Would definitely recommend for anyone who is into EDM, enjoys clubbing, and cares for a well put together venue.
Very rude customer service they asked us to pay 150 each person for bar tap and they lied about not having general admission don’t waste your money there ❌❌❌
Read this: DO NOT BUY TICKETS!My friends and I all bought tickets in advance to see Fedde Le Grand on 4/2/22 and it was a total SCAM. I arrived with my husband by 11:15pm and was let in after a short wait. 20 minutes later, our friends arrived and were taken off the line because the bouncer claimed the venue was at maximum capacity. Not true! (Look at the pictures attached!!) We stepped out to try to figure out what was going on. They were all couples, dressed upscale according to the dress code and completely sober. I understand if you’re not dressed up, acting disorderly, or a walk-in trying to pay at the door, but that was NOT the case. It was all our first time at Nebula so it’s not like our friends were previously banned from there or any where else! My husband and I were even seeing partygoers inside that were dressed way too casual compared to any of us!Meanwhile the employees and bouncers kept repeating “it’s not up to us” and turning their heads and backs to ignore us. They also promised a refund for our friends but how?!. They don’t even have their information. My husband and I went back in to the check-in receptionists to ask to speak to someone and they all said, “it’s not up to us, we have nothing to do with this”.So don’t bother spending your money here! We all purchased tickets via the DICE App and it said “tickets guarantee entry before 1am” but this is not true. Tickets are a SCAM! They straight up rob you and give you no explanation other than “then buy a table if you want to get in”.
The guard at the door here once was blocking me from exiting and he was saying oh where you going, it’s early as he was trying to reach for my back I pulled my winter coat on and tried to push the door and run out because he was creepy and I fell because the door slammed open after another guy opened the door to enter the club. The guest thought I fell on him because I was drunk but I was trying to run away because of the behavior of a creepy African American guard at the door. His job is to save people not to attack people. Anyways, there is another party there March 9th and I remembered what happened so I’m not going there and going to another party but figured I shared here so girls are careful going in here. I’m a strong girl so I was able to swing my coat on and block his hand and knock him out the way to get out, but he was aggressive I imagine another girl wouldn’t be able to protect herself.
This venue is unprofessional since they do not respect artist guest lists!arrived by myself to see a friend dj who had put me on the guest list. I was told by a rude front door promoter that I would have to pay since they didnt have the DJs guest list. This was a lie because other people were already inside off that list. I was told to instead pay 40 dollars to enter! I ended up leaving and was not able to see my friend play. Ruined my night!
Friendly security, easy in and out access from the venue. Treated all people coming in to the club like human beings. Could tell they really appreciated your business and felt welcomed. One of the best clubs in NY that I’ve attended
This is a club that has a lot of potential, but failed on the execution. My biggest problem with this place is the dance floor for general admission at this place is ridiculously small. It’s right in between the two bars that they have. The reason why the floor is so small is because all of the VIP/bottle service couches are in the way. If they fixed this it would be a nice spot. I went for MK and when he came on, there was barely enough space to move. On top of that, the club staff had to basically shove their way through the crowd every 5 seconds to serve the VIP booths. Add on the high price of tickets, I can’t say that I would come back here unless I was getting bottle service with a bunch of friends.
Overrated. As a local I typically try to avoid ANY Manhattan clubs but I thought I’d give it a shot. Drinks are overpriced, as expected ($13 beers). But what really shocked me was the lack of space to dance. The dance floor is riddled with tables to the sides and middle and the people there are not there for the music, they’re just there to look cool for IG. If you’re into techno or house and actually want to dance and enjoy the music with likeminded people, AVOID at all costs and stick to Brooklyn Mirrage. The lights and ceiling are pretty cool but nothing mind-blowing like a laser show at a festival. The sound system isn’t that good either, don’t expect to feel any bass through you chest or body. Finally, the opening dj’s performance was poor. I’m not sure if the real guy bailed and they just picked someone out of the crowd to fill his spot or if it was just his first time spinning outside of his grandmas basement, but this guy was mediocre at best. He would constantly transition from edm a random rap songs that had no business being together. The dude also had no knowledge of drop mixing, oftentimes just cutting a drop short or not letting it build up, which kinda killed the vibe.
Please read before trying Nebula, my fair and honest review:Pros: Beautiful space, incredible lighting and audio systems. The club is clearly new and looks wonderful. Staff are stern but its because theyre busy and have a job to do. Youll see what I mean in the cons section.Coat check is only 5 dollars per item.Bouncers were checking IDs and proof of vaccination.Bouncers outside were kind and polite to us while we were waiting in line.Cons:About 25 dollars per cocktail.Nearly all of the entire second story balcony is vip. You arent even allowed to lean on the railing of the second floor because technically all of that space is reserved. You will NOT be able to sit at any time unless you purchase a 1-3k VIP couch. Just be aware of this.Coat check and the bathrooms are downstairs, usually not an issue. However, the Coat check people and bathroom lines end up merging into a 50+ person line going down a two shoulder wide staircase. It creates a terrible human traffic blockade. Staff are squeezing through people and youre fighting to get through. Expect to wait 20-30 minutes just to grab you Coat because they dont have separate lines.Club doesnt communicate when main performer plays. We showed up at 10:20pm and waited for about 10min outside (no biggie) but it was nearly 1am and Diplo (the artist we paid 100 dollars per ticket) still wasnt playing. We decided to leave early because no one could tell us when the main artist we paid to see was starting. Conclusion:Nebula is definitely worth trying at least once. However, the entire space is clearly built with the focus of VIP tables. Youll immediately understand once you see the space. So, if you go with a group and pay for VIP, youre set. If not, you may find yourself exhausted with little to no space to hang and dance. Overall I felt torn by the experience and left not being able to see the artist I came to see.
I got bounced out when someone accidentally pushed me into a cocktail waitress (on the crowded dance floor everyone talks about). She didnt even know what happened but threw a fit. Bouncers offered to get my jacket from coatcheck. They wouldnt let me get it myself. They stole my Canali jacket and left me outside with nothing in winter. I paid $250 for entrance and 2 drinks. I would not return here. I would not recommend it.
I bought the ticket to see Fedde Le Grand without reading the reviews. I was concerned because many people claimed you could be denied entry even if you bought a ticket, had proper attire and got there before 1am.I can only say that was not the case for me.I got there at 12am and it took less than a minute to get in. There is a line for those with a ticket and for those without one. I showed my id and my qr code for the ticket and I got in.I did see two parties arguing with the bouncer for not being allowed to get in, but in all fairness a guy in one of the parties was wearing shorts and in the other the guy was wearing clothes that were too rugged (more like for a warehouse type of rave); just wear non-sneaker shoes, a shirt, and a pair of jeans and you wont have a problem. The place is filled with vip tables, there is no way around it. But again, thats the way they run their business, and Im not going to blame them for that if it makes their venue profitable. The dance space for those without tables is narrow but it does the trick. In fact, I could tell I was having a better time than those stuck in the VIP tables, because you can dance, move around and feed from the energy of those next to you.I gave it 4 and not 5 stars because I have had better experiences at other places like Mirage and Webster Hall, the dance space is limited and there are lots of security personnel roving around at all times.
Came to see my favorite DJ, purple disco machine, on opening weekend. If I didn’t love the DJ so much I wouldn’t have even bothered with this place. We paid $80 for tickets but still had to wait outside for over a half hour, causing us to miss the first half hour of his set. Never in my life have I bought tickets to a concert and not been allowed into the venue when I got there. I guess they are trying to “build hype” by having a line outside but this is at the expense of people that paid $80 ahead of time to get into a sold out concert. If the concert is sold out, wouldn’t the capacity already have been accounted for? It’s not like the place was over capacity when we showed up.A couple other points to note- they don’t check COVID vaccinations here per NYC law. Also the drinks are grossly overpriced. I know this is a club in midtown but the drinks were even a rip off by those standards— $20 for an Evan Williams & coke.I will not be back here, and if it weren’t for my favorite DJ, I would’ve left immediately.
Im an international customer who spent a lot of money in a trip+hotel in NYC just to be able to see Prydz at Nebula and I almost canceled it when I read other people reviews cause I didnt want to spend that much money if I might not even been accepted in the club. I had a completely different experience from these reviews. From the moment I was waiting in line every member of the staff was super nice and helpful. No need to be dressed up, I saw so many people with sneakers getting in. A group in front of me (they were 12) was asked to take a table cause they have NO tickets but thats normal. I usually dont write reviews but if I had not decided to go despite what I had read I would have canceled and not live 2 of the best nights in my life so if youre in this situation just know that Nebula is a fantastic club. The dance floor space was totally ok and the staff is nice.
I went to nebula nightclub and got spit on by a club General managerHe is a bald white guy thats always in the front checking IDs.. they even let minors into the clubs with fake identification. The security guards refused to give back my property. This club is very abusive and disrespectful.I am giving this place a 1 star.
One of the worst clubs I’ve ever been to. They are trying to emulate a Vegas vibe in a much smaller space. The good:- ease of access since it’s in midtown- great sound- great lighting with moving LED panels- nice bathroomsThe bad:- $24 mixed drinks- incredibly aggressive and rude bouncers- VIP tables in the middle of the floor which leads to very little room to dance- I heard a bouncer quote $200 as door cover for a sold out Eric Prydz night. That is insanityI am never coming back here again
I was visiting NYC with a couple of friends and we had bought tickets beforehand and downloaded the app just as it said. My friends and I have all been clubbing before and were all legitimately 21 or older so we were under the impression we’d get in there completely fine. We all had our tickets out and the bouncer let my other 4 friends in and except for me. He had taken my ID and when he came back he told me to step out of line because my ID was “fake.” I was shocked because this never happened before, as it shouldn’t because I’m 21+, and when my friends said something they told all of them to get out of line and step to the side. They didn’t even have scanners just said they wouldn’t let me in. Then after words were exchanged, we asked for a refund and they said they’re not dealing with it and said to just leave. It was absolutely ridiculous all around saying my real ID was “fake” and not letting me, or any of my friends get a refund after getting denied into the club. Never going back to this place again.
Even as a young female, you will have mixed experiences. One minute I was paying $20 for a tiny shot, $30+ for a drink, plus required gratuities + tax. Then the next minute, everything is paid for and Indian guys wont leave you alone.
Place is a complete scam. Bought tickets weeks in advance at $65 each just to wait in line for an hour and have the bouncers kick you off the line because “they’re at capacity”. Meanwhile my buddy inside said it was completely empty. If you ask any questions the bouncers get very confused and avert their eyes. Don’t waste your money or time.
There isnt any space here to dance, scattered with vip furniture literally everywhere. this is one of the worst venues ever. go if you want to smell your own farts all night along with every other obnoxious person there. -5 stars. walked in and walked out after thirty seconds, the artist is wasted on this awful venue
You guys need to work on the dance floor... not so nice staff except for the bartenders they were great, the prices are a little bit too high. The entry price is absurd lol Im from miami and you can bet our free to entry clubs are way better in the areas that I listed above and Im not exaggerating hahaha if you guys want to keep a good club I suggest you start to read the customers reviews :D. Also, bring the DJ down the vibes would be much better, peace
Discriminated against me and embarrassed me in front of all of my friends simply because I am short, even though I had two forms of ID. cover charge is a rip off. I have seen both good and bad reviews but if you want a reliable experience do not bother coming.
The sound quality and light production is modern and top notch. The security, door, bartenders and bathroom attendants were very nice. The only complaints are expensive drinks and very little room to dance. But this is not a ravers club, it’s a high end clubbers club. They make their money on tables and bottle service. This is what they gear towards and you can’t knock them for choosing to run their business this way.If you’re a raver and want to be with like-minded people choose a Brooklyn or queens venue (warehouses/mirage).
One of my worst experience inside the club. To dance for they put a bunch of VIP stables in the middle of this for thats crazy. Thats why New York City clubbing is dead. There was no space to dance. The sound system was amazing the lighting too . But Im so disappointing Im never going back there...
Worst “club” experience of my life. Unless you’re a trust fund baby, or want to waste your money/time waiting on a line just to be denied - then don’t even bother. My friends and I purchased tickets well in advance, waited on line for about an hour just to be turned away “because it was packed” - profiling was the actual root of being denied entry. This was the case for other groups behind us as well, they even racially profiled an entire group of Asian customers and took them off of the line, but allowed the white people directly behind them right on in - we have video proof. The best part is, we had a friend inside (she arrived before the crowd so was able to get in) who said it was basically empty and they were focused primarily on table/bottle service, I guess this is where daddy’s money comes in handy. Nebula is absolute trash, and 100% deserves the bad reputation coming their way.The app they make you download for Tickets “DICE” is working with me on a refund, since apparently Nebula doesn’t refund, how cute - what a SCAM.
Gin and tonic $26!!The dance floor gets packed.Arrived somewhere around 23:20. I left around 1:00-1:30.Good time for a short time unless you have a section.4 stars because Breathe Carolina gave a good performance.
WORST NIGHTCLUB IN NYC! We paid $90+ to see MK at Nebula and ended up waiting at the door for 1+ hour in the freezing cold. I dont understand, it really didnt make sense to me (unless they were making the line look long to hype up the event) but still, weve never had to wait so long with the uncertainty of whether or not if we will get into the club to see the DJ play his set, AFTER paying a ticket (ahead of time). I mean this club wasnt even worth it honestly, I wouldve preferred to go to Brooklyn Mirage to see my favorite DJs. The staff is extremely rude, they will step over you, shove/push you any chance they get (regardless if you are sober or drunk, female or male, they will push you in a small crowded space). Ive been to several house music events where it is extremely crowded and staff always manages to get through in a professional manner without pushing you or putting their hands on you. There were several staff that did this, staff that clean/mop up the floors after a spill, security guards, everyone. Mind you, they couldve just tapped on ones shoulders and ask nicely to move a bit but these interactions were rough and really should not be allowed. It was horrible and we will never be returning again.
Terrible experience in the city. From music to service - they they making a lot of advertisements, to make it’s good… but as you come inside - you just unhappy with everything. Manhattan has much more better clubs, than this one, unfortunately…
No bag check. Immediate red flag— anyone can steal your stuff. Lost my shoe here, and my multiple emails/phone calls have not been responded to. Will never come back.
Do not waste your money here. I paid $160 dollars for a subpar at best bar that scammed and lied to their clientele. It was so impossible to get too due to it being New Years and no one informed us to get there at a specific time to avoid this inconvenience. We got no food, which is part of what we paid for. They promised to be open till 4 am and closed down at 2 am. The bartenders were rude and unwelcoming. Everything about this bar was simply terrible. I wouldn’t even have gone if it was free entrance.
Chances are any positive reviews are 50/50 to be real or fake. GREAT sound system and lighting. Dance floor isn’t great but I get it. Drink prices are overpriced but I get it . THE WORST STAFF EVER. I was amazed at how rude and unprofessional the staff was.
Two vip sections? Middle space was taken , space near dj was also velvet roped only small middle area to dance and walk through if not around. BARS ARE EXPENSIVE the only reason this gets 2 stars is cause the female staff looked gorgeous and the cool tv and light effects but overall waste of $100 and that was ticket, shot of whiskey and small plastic cup of margarita like really? Top floor area was also closed off
Very bad clubbing experience. Logistic is awful, a line outside for no reason (that old style Manhattan technique of making a line to get attention) then you have a club for hundreds of ppl and provide one line for coat checking in a very small hallway w bathroom line in the same space, so you have a bad manners security person telling you disrespectfully to move and stay in a line but ppl have no way to pass by coming back from checking their coat without disrupting the line. the lighting artist is upstairs behind the bar. Literally. theres so much to be fixed in this place, they should just hire another managing team altogether because nothing is working. Very poor quality music , you have to move around and find a decent spot because the audio system is not correctly set up. Such a waste of money in design. This place is just for the pics, they forgot ppl go out to actually have fun. I honestly hope they notice and make changes.
Place is a scam for the everyday person just trying to have fun. It was 30$ to get in and it was supposed to be space themed but wasnt really themed at all. The drinks are insanely expensive 25$ a piece for three of us a round of drinks was 75$ so it was 165$ to get in and get a round of drinks. It felt like GTA but definitely not worth it unless youre rich just stay away
This club ruined my New Years. I spent $169 for appetizers, champagne, and general admission. I spent 1.5 - 2 hours at the start of the night to even try and find the club. Everything was blocked off and Nebula did not warn us. Instead, they sent an email at 2:01 AM after they kicked us out at 2:00 AM. This email explained how to access the club due to the barricades. Luckily, a cop was able to escort me else I would never had made it. They also advertised the end time as being 4 AM. This was not true and false advertising, as the club closed at 2 AM abruptly. Additionally, they were extremely aggressive with forcing us to leave at 2 AM. Overall, very disappointed in the club and their false advertising
If a big name DJ caught your eye and you want to go for the music, don’t bother with a place like this. This place is really not unique from other “high end” clubs in NYC like Marquee. They will make you wait on line when you already have tickets and the place is empty inside. There is a dress code but I observed people wearing hats, sweatpants and sneakers when others wore dresses and heels… at least at a place like marquee it’s more consistent across the board. Staff pushed us out of their way to enter/exit the bottle service areas. The crowd was not NYers yet they still will push and spill their drink on you anyway.
Was on vacation from Colorado visiting my friend who is also from there but moved to New York in 2020. We both have valid IDs from Colorado. The guards began to bend our IDs and laughed in our faces saying “have fun with those IDs”. We argued with them and they told us they needed our passports to get in. Obviously, we didn’t have our physical passports because who brings their passport to a club when they have a valid ID? Rudely, the guards told us to get out of the way of the line while i waited for my mother to send a picture of my passport. My friend did not have a valid passport because she had no need to go out of country in the past 9 years. A guard told us he’d vouch for both to us if I showed him mine. I showed my passport and my friend showed them a picture of her passport from when she was a baby that her mother sent her and they laughed in her face and said that she probably bought that passport that was literally her as a baby. Finally, they asked her for her school ID since she told them she goes to NYU. She already showed them her school ID but they told her no before my mother was able to send me a picture of my passport. Finally, after showing them my passport and her school ID, we were let in. This was after waiting 20 minutes in below 30 degree weather . When we got inside, we complained to the first staff we saw and the man we talked to was able to tell our IDS were valid within seconds. look on Yelp, you’ll see this has happened to other people. The security outside are so rude and condescending.
[ One star for the visual. ] If you come for the DJ you like…DO NOT COME…lol Cool lights, but it’s an “upscale” lounge with DJ. ( Pete Tong, why would you play here, you are basically a manual playlist) Security kept on bothering me about where I was standing. I’m sure it’s someone’s cup of tea. But if you like music and dancing. Just do not come.
This place is very big scam specially for guys. rude customer service. I dont recommend it. I wish there was something lower than one star.
It is a cool and nice place for drink and techno house music everyday different style .entrance fee change everyday but between 40 to 55 for non member .en general deserve try
Amazing place, dope lights and great sound but dance floor sucks cant dance cant walk around tables all over the place so if you get a table theres gonna be ppl crowded around you ppl cant dance, dont know yet if its dance club or a bottle service club, bouncers are nice they follow orders but the management staff its very rude, was told by the guy at the door to shut up or leave, they dont care about ppl with tickets they hold ticket buyers at the door to hype up the door and sell 2000$ tables or was told to pay a 200$ bar tab to be able to go in while having a ticket. Love the line ups but the vibe isnt right if you got vip areas with tables why put tables on the dance floor.
Please do yourself a favor and spend your money elsewhere else. Bottles cost a lot of money, vip experience was subpar, cocktail servers acted like they didn’t want to be there. Almost like they were doing us a favor by serving us. Layout is cool, space has potential, service and operations are awful.
Super fun club! I went for a friends bday and she had a room with karaoke! It was a good price and we were able to go up to the dance floor or come back down and chill in the room. Music was good and neyo performed there
Horrible place to enjoy music.First of all the space is tiny so dont be fooled by the pictures.Second, about 70% of the space is used for various VIP sections filled with obnoxious NYC socialites and Instagram influencers filming themselves all show long. Whom none of them seem to have any knowledge of House/Techno music.Third, the bathrooms are all the way by the entrance and downstairs, which can be a long trip to get to from the front.Fourth, there are security guards almost every 10 feet. Its kind of ridiculous. The mezzanine part has more room to move around and has a bar but the sound is terrible upstairs. If youre into DJ sets, stick to Brooklyn and Queens venues like Mirage, Elsewhere, Nowadays, Knockdown, etc. This venue and its vibe is NOT IT.
Pretentious staff, toxic management and a poorly ran establishment…stay far away if you want to actually have a good time, why throw an event if you go out of your way to not let people in???
Strict dress code that is only applied at the door at the bouncers. NO WHERE on the website does it say pants required, yet we show up and immediately told to go get some pants. Multiple parties were subject to the same unfair policy, even on the ticket it does not mention pants. Just no athletic and casual wear, didnt wear either and we were all rejected.
Went to this club for my Boy Sam’s Bachelor party. One of the coolest club. Great service. Top security. SID my boy is gem. He hosted our table. We had a Blast night. Thanks Club Nebula. We will be back. Witnessed LIVE 50cent. Thanks for the opportunity to see legend so closely. Thank You Team Nebula & Sid brother.
They charge $300 mininum to get in now . No individual charge anymore. I had 2 bad girls and they still tried to charge us $300 + tips. I guess the competition from other great clubs in the area is getting to them smh. I guess Ill take my money somewhere else
Best night of my life. NYC needed a club like this. FINALLY!!! The sound system is amazing, the best technology out there. Talking about technology... The lighting gives any major club in the nation a run for their money. Its Sick! The service is top-notch from the door to the bottle waitress, to management, even the bussers are on point. Aside from the great service, the DJ lineup is fire 🔥. I went to see Fedde le Grand, what a fun**ing night. If u truly want to have a great time and hang out at a venue where you want to see and be seen Nebula is the spot. Trust me 😉
This place shouldn’t be hosting techno Dj’s.This is by far the most commercial venue I have seen, especially for techno events. There’s couches and tables all over so there’s no way to dance. literally you can barely dance here. Literally all of the people who attend don’t even go for the music. I went to see Adam Beyer here and it was a nightmare. If it wasn’t because Adam Beyer is such a great Dj I would’ve just left and lose $80 on my ticket. I think this is just a regular commercial nightclub that shouldn’t be hosting underground artists.
Paid $80 for a concert, waited in line for ~100 mins for no apparent reason other than to create the illusion of desirability by having a line outside the club. Absolutely disgusting team with unprofessional bouncers. Never again. Go out in Brooklyn instead.
You get un with 1.5k agreement for three bottles of champagne and then they charge/ racket you 2.8k ! I have spend three to four times that amount in clubs although Europe but this never happened to me! You should never go there!
Great experience! Mike Williams was absolutely electric ⚡️ Can’t believe I got to see him in person 😍😍 Only negative thing was this one bouncer at the door, who was quite rude. Mans clearly peaked at Plat 3 Div IV. When I called him out on it he just blamed lag, ping, and bad teammates (lol ok bud). It was kind of embarrassing.
Honestly no different than your average NYC premier nightclub. Overpriced simple cocktails, little room for the regular audience to enjoy and security team that simply has a rude demeanor (then again it’s NYC). The talent that is booked is great however that is really where the praise goes to. Lights are simplistic at best for anyone that gets amused by LED light panels going up and down from the ceiling.Again, comparing it to other nightclubs like Marquee, Lavo, Harbor, it really is just your generic Manhattan nightclub.
Horrible space, horrible service, horrible experience. Rude servers. Bad music. Bad vibe.
This place is more Pacha than Output. I’m a Brooklyn club lover and still mourning Output but when a new venue opens up in Manhattan booking great dj’s you gotta give it a try. Nebula is beautiful, great sound and lighting but like most Manhattan nightlife they’ve sold their soul to tables and bottle service. This is definitely a place to be seen. Being in times square I’m sure they get a lot of tourists but last night by 3am it did seem like a lot of the people who came to be seen (excluding those vip) fizzled out and gave room to the true house lovers. The staff is pleasant and helpful and again this place is CLEAN! My heart will always be in a Brooklyn warehouse but if your favorite artist is playing I’d definitely suggest going to Nebula.
One of the worst night clubs you can go to. They cant let you have even a small bag in and doesn’t have any locker systems unlike its competitors. Security is very rude and place is pretty much basic
I’ll be honest. It’s overpriced. But if ur a girl you can generally find promoters and get in for free and get free drinks. If ur a guy have a rich friend who can get a table. Nightlife is complicated but they have some amazing sets playing there.
This club might be compatible to Vegas but the promoters could do better .The bar is small as they are more welcomed to people to buy tables .
All they care about is the VIP. Barely any room for regular admission while they extend the size of the VIP as the night goes on. Rude bar tenders, over priced drinks, over priced cover.
A literal tourist trap, bouncers will ruin your night before it starts..They will be holding the line for over an hour just to hype up the place instead of providing good service.
1)service - you get pushed by the waiters and spilling your drinks, no apologies2) God forbid you move 1 inch from your assigned place3) dj could be better4) the only star is for Steve , he was super helpful
So much expectations...as a bar/ Discotheque owner in Portugal , Bairro Novo ...and back to usa 2 years ago to get back to my kids , and with plans to get back into night business , I realized going to overrated Nebula that ...hmmmmm...I can do better , really Not up to my expectations...a lot of room for improvement .DJ tried some deep house or trance and could not do both...not exciting , crowd was not into it ...so it just gave me hope that there is always to succeed here and have a better management of how to make it better...that was good news for me...sorry , not worth price of additional on that raining day, on my birthday...🥳
Nebula was LIT. Saw Vintage Culture there. The Sound quality and visuals of this club were amazing. Line was not long at all as per other comments. We got into the venue quickly. The set up of the club built a nice intimate space with the DJ. Definitely will be back!
Great staff and music!! It is one of the best nightclubs I have been to in my 10 years in NYC. The mixed drinks are always fantastic!
Best nightclub in NYC! Amazing state of the art visuals. Excellent sound system. Staff is great. Women everywhere! Dress to impress.
AMAZING STAFF. But do not come here if you do not want to spend a lot of money because this place is extremely expensive. They should also be more accommodating to non-VIP guests because there is no room to dance unless you’re in VIP
This got to be the worst place to ever go to in NYC, everyone in this establishment is extremely rude to all the points! And their drinks are super expensive as well!I would never go back to that place and I will definitely let all my friends know about that experience!
I really wanted to like the club. They have really awesome djs but the space is so uncomfortable to enjoy. All the bad reviews are unfortunately correct. I hope someone from nebula is reading this so that they can maybe come to a solution and fix the issues listed by other users, unless they don’t care about people who don’t purchase VIP packages.
Nooo this place is fake! Well Ive been living in NYC for a few years and the truth is that before coming here I was very curious, Im from a Latin city and I believed in NYC as the door to freedom would be huge, but its disappointing to see that the city (Manhattan) has nothing to offering the party is the smallest and most boring thing this place is horrible do not spend your money here I assure you it is better to stay in your house and sleep than to go to nebula it is horrible: hahahahaha I did not think it was that basic but it has nothing and besides you have to pay cover, stay in your room better or spend your money elsewhere nebula is a scam
The only positive thing I could say about this venue is the sound system and the screens on the ceiling moving around nothing more. #AngryStaff
GO SOME PLACE ELSE. This place blows. Bought tickets for a show before going only to wait in line for an hour an a half to be told by the bouncers that they were at full occupancy. Hey... how about you dont sell more tickets than you have space for you crooks. Had a friend make it in and was informed that it was underwhelming.
It’s sad that the bouncers make up the rules as they go… I was there at 10:45 PM and one of the bouncers told me and my one friend We had to get a table to get in and it’s 1,000$. Better off spending your money somewhere else
