I was not a fan. The food was not great. I wouldnt say it was bad but just lacked any good taste. Ive been to healthy food places and you can make it great. The smoothie was also not good. Just not tasty. It was probably healthy? But again, healthy doesnt mean no taste. The atmosphere is a bit too relaxed. There is a spa in this place so some people are there in robes. Not something I want during my dining experience. If I was in a spa myself it probably wouldve been better.Maybe its someones vibe. But definitely not my thing.
Nice place to relax and treat yourself for a spa day. It’s a little pricey but I think it would worth it if not all the extra charges they charge as a tip of20% plus tax on top of that. I came 30 min before to use their saunas one of them was not working and nobody let me know about that dry spa was still a little cold. So l missed all other treats I can enjoy for such a high price. No discount no extra treats. Facial cost me $300 for 60 min and I don’t think person who was taking care of me was that good. She did some massage and then start facial and it was so many times I just was laying down waiting for mask and some other stuff and I think she should start with facial and between give me massage instead of just laying there. 60 min is so little and you just laying there for 15 min waiting
I absolutely loved my visit to THE WELL. The staff was warm and kind and the space was absolutely beautiful. I so enjoyed getting to relax in the steam and sauna before having one of the best massages ever (truly, incredible). I finished my morning by eating at the restaurant, which was delicious. I would 1000% go back.
Such a serene and beautiful space to tuck yourself away from the busyness of the city. We often forget to take time for ourselves to relax, but after I experienced this space I was able to completely unwind and reset from the stress I had been experiencing. Ive tried the signature facial with Jeni and would recommend it 1000%. She guides you through on what you need to promote healthy and glowing skin while making it the most calming experience I have ever had with a facial. I told her my face is going to want to keep coming back because the bar has been raised!
If you are looking for a high-end spa, like experience, do not go to the well for a massage! I was shocked when I was brought down into. It only can be described as a dingy basement with no spa like atmosphere. Its not half as nice as my equinox gym locker room. The relaxer station area is a hard white bench. Thats neither relaxing, nor comfortable. Worst of all was the massage that was probably one of the Worst massages Ive ever had in my life. The woman who gave it was lovely, and she certainly tried, but it was not a professional massage. Worst of all halfway through she decided she would do cupping on me and since it wasnt a relaxing massage, I figured why not? She told me Id be a little bit red but I ended up with was large round bruises all over my back that lasted for three days. Which apparently is what happens with cupping, so I was shocked when I looked it up and the woman hadnt explained that to me. If youre looking for a high-end massage, just save your money and go somewhere else. It wasnt worth the $400 I spent.
The food and juices are high quality. The gift shop is upscale including jewelry, but they stock solid herbal products. (Including a nano hydroxy apatite toothpaste!) The staff is sweet, not fast necessarily. Go in with time to spare, and on off hours for a best case outcome. Impeccable concept and design.
The Well takes wellness to the next level. The staff are always incredibly friendly and accommodating. Their services are rooted in integrative health so youll have many options to choose from that nourish both the body and the mind. Every facial Ive gotten has been superb. The cafe has a menu full of healthy seasonal items which is so refreshing and there is plenty of space to relax and enjoy some solitude!
The food was decent but took a long time and did not come as ordered (we asked for Medium and got well-done) but the veggies and salad were better - there was a hair on my napkin which I just pulled off but I mention it because then there was a hair in the to-go container they brought us. They got us a new container but yeah the attention to detail was lacking. Overall it was okay, not sure Id return.
Everything about my facial experience was top notch—from the welcoming front desk, the beauty of the space, the excellence of the aesthetician, the care I felt in her (Miriam) hands, the product recommendations and the facial results. The staff at The Well are highly skilled and so warm. It felt like a true escape, even though it was only the length of my lunch break.
I treated myself to an afternoon at The Well and it was exactly what the doctor order. I started with a massage and cupping (my first ever) by Pilar. After that I hung out in the steam room and then meditated for a bit. The entire experience was top tier and the space is perfect. 10/10 would recommend.
My experience at The Well with Marisa was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I stepped into the serene atmosphere of the establishment, I knew I was in for a treat. The ambiance was calming, with soothing music and a beautifully designed space that instantly put me at ease.Marisas expertise truly shone during my massage session. She tailored her technique perfectly, applying just the right amount of pressure to alleviate my tension without causing any discomfort. What impressed me the most was her intuitive ability to understand exactly what I needed. She checked in with me periodically to ensure I was comfortable, yet she maintained a peaceful silence when it was clear I wanted to simply relax and unwind. After the massage, I felt rejuvenated and completely refreshed. Not only did Marisa successfully melt away my stress, but she also targeted and relieved the discomfort in my lower back that had been bothering me. It was evident that she is not only highly skilled but also deeply passionate about her craft.I cannot recommend Marisa and The Well highly enough. If youre looking for a five-star massage experience that leaves you feeling revitalized and restored, look no further. Marisas expertise and the tranquil environment of The Well make it the perfect destination for anyone seeking ultimate relaxation and relief. Ill definitely be booking another session soon!
Heaven on earth. I’ve only been to NYC twice since they opened and I made time for the well both times! You can book a first time drop in class online for only $20, and with the class you gain access to the entire downstairs area which has private, gender-inclusive locker rooms with robes, towels, and sandals to explore the steam room, sauna, and mediation rooms. The entire experience is so relaxing and restorative, it’s an absolute must especially in winter. They also have all beauty counter products in the showers, other vegan skin care products available to try as well as dyson air wraps! If you want to feel treated come here immediately!
Had an amazing day at The Well NYC! The spa is absolutely gorgeous. I tried the lymphatic massage for the first time - it’s very gentle, relaxing, and helps depuff/debloat/detox. After I enjoyed the hot sauna and a shower - love the clean ingredient products for use. I ended with a nourishing, delicious meal at the cafe and picked up some items from the shop on my way out! I’ll definitely be back to try more services and simply enjoy the amenities and eats! Thank you!
I love spending time at The Well.Yoga class with Dalal and Lindsay are amazing. Ive had two treatments, cranio sacral by Lua (which was incredibly releasing, I had been storing a lot of pain and emotion I was able to let go of during this session). I also had an amazing Myofascial release massage by Kira, which was incredibly soothing to my over stressed / over stimulated system. The retail shop is also awesome. Lots of cute gift items, clean beauty, and wellness supplements, etc. and the food in the restaurant is delicious! Highly recommend checking it out. You can go just for the day for a treatment or get a membership.
The best overall wellness experience in NYC, from classes, to working in the library, to massages and spa, to the amazing food at the cafe (very vegan and gluten friendly) it is a one stop shop to work, meet friends or clients, get treatments and eat an amazing whole food meal.
The Well has a cleansing energy the moment you step in. I recently went for brunch and not only is the vibe exactly what I needed, but the food was delicious. I tried the Well Bowl which was simple and full of flavor, but the real stars were the trout and cauliflower rice. Perfectly seasoned and fresh, I will definitely be going back again soon.
I have been coming to the well for some time now and my first impression of this place was pretty high. The more I’ve come the more I’ve come into the realisation that the place is not worth the money anymore. The menu changed to a less appealing one and they are transitioning into a much more self service restaurant, at the price of a good one. The broth, coffee, tea and matcha, now is served in a “to go” cup, which for me it’s confusing since this place is supposed to be a healthy eating place. They should know that “paper” cups are full of wax and toxins that when in contact with high temperature water dissolves and then you drink all the toxins. I asked for a regular cup but they said they only serve paper cups now. I also asked for a glass and they told me to grab it myself. This used to be my favourite place to grab a healthy meal in a friendly environment, what happened?Keep in mind that for half cup of bone broth, a water and a small bowl with no more than 3 pieces of chicken, one egg, some lettuce and a spoon of rice is 53$ without tips.
Yunji Lee was amazing. I left her feeling calm, rejuvenated and energized all at the same time. Highly recommend her!
Really enjoyed my time at The Well. The facility is gorgeous and welcoming. The Yoga/Reika class and the Sound bath class were just what I needed. I floated out of there once I was done.
Super pricey for what it is. The massages and facials (which were good) are $275+ for 60 min, a price similar to much better spas in the City. The amenities are totally average. There isn’t any music playing, scents or a feeling of serenity. The relaxation area is a small area with an uncomfortable bench, and there wasn’t enough space for me to sit in between appointments. We went to the steam room and you could hear the loud AC running the entire time. And the sauna wasn’t hot. I feel like they really missed the mark here and it’s not really a place you can go for a spa day.If you’re going to spend $500 for a spa day, there are way better options in the City.
THE WELL is a sanctuary space where I could easily spend an entire day, moving from the tranquil relaxation areas to enjoying delightful breakfast and lunch at the restaurant. The services offered here are truly top-notch, and my experience was elevated by an unbelievable massage. Jess Klein, in particular, deserves special mention for her skill and expertise. Her massage, which incorporated hot poultice stones and dry brushing to promote lymphatic drainage, was a game-changer. Thank you, Jess, for providing the best massage experience!
I recently was at The Well for a facial, my experience was great and the entire place was entirely aesthetically pleasing! However, when I checked my statement I saw that they had charged me an incorrect amount.. I called thinking it would be a small inconvenience to explain and the receptionist there on 7/ 29 / 23 at 10am was wonderful! She immediately took care of this inconvenience, charged me the correct amount and discussed different skincare products at the salon that she finds helpful suitable for different skin types! I definitely will be coming back!(:
The idea of having an entire array of health practioners under one roof, all coming together to help you on your wellness journey is such a beautiful experience!Everything about this place, from design, smell and concept were all thought about deeply and you definitely feel that once you enter the premise. If you want to better your life, and meet other people trying to the same then this your place. Cheers.
Their food is always healthy and maybe even sustainably sourced, which is nice, but it’s at quite a high price point (which I’ll excuse if it’s necessary for it to be sustainable / local or gluten-free), and the service isn’t always amazing. I also resent the no-laptop policy, although I understand the rationale. And the restrooms aren’t always clean or functional. I’ve also been rushed by a waitress before putting the check in front of me when I wanted to order more (and wasn’t even there for very long!), and getting more water is always a struggle, if not impossible sometimes! I was shocked to continuously have poor service after having been here so many times, but that’s typical for here, it seems. And so despite the great concept and healthy and possibly sustainably sourced food, I will not be giving The Well five stars - I would give 3.7 if I could for poor service.
Such an incredible experience every time I go! I got a massage and used their facilities. Super relaxing vibes and very clean!!
An extraordinary day at the well!Omg! To me The Well is a little jewel in the midst of the hustle bustle and chaos of the city. It is my second time and while it was nice to get a foot rub and have a quick bite and dart off I truly didnt get the full gift of my experience. So the second time I went I gave myself a luxurious day to get my foot treatment but also wet and dry sauna sit on the swing partake of the imho extraordinary amenities like bone broth ayurvedic tea, fabulous spa products, lush robes, towels slippers, fresh aloe and ice cold wash cloths, mint lemon water, down to the Dyson hair dryer. It was a totally glorious experience. Plus I was surprised how the co-ed piece didnt bother me at all. Even the specific attention to needs like apples, packets of almonds, lovely products blew me away. For me it felt like so many hours went into thinking what are the small and big things that would be meaningful for our clients. Lastly to me the staff was exceedingly lovely efficient and the fellow patrons were so welcoming. For me the only downside was having to leave at the end of my stay it was so luxurious. Id highly suggest if you go to allocate a few hours at the least to experience to me what the well encapsulates, to go to the well of your well being and rejuvenate yourself. Ill definitely be back.
Hearted, there are not really any good facilities, and the massages were nothing special. I realize its located in central Manhattan, but I dont think its worth the money. Aire spa is a similar price point and offers way more, and their massage therapists seem to be better too.***update, after writing this review, I was asked to email the management so they could follow up, which I have done: twice! Still, no one has been in contact! Really disappointing and unprofessional. They really dont care about customer service***
I love the concept of this place — it’s about holistic well-being. They have food, classes, spa services, and amenities. It’s quite nice.I did a yoga class with my friends. While it wasn’t the smoothest process to reserve for my group, it did work out in the end! I was playing phone tag with the reservation team for a couple of days before I finally called the main number to reserve.Class was pretty good. It was hard to hear the teacher sometimes. She corrected some people’s form physically but not all. The room was susceptible to outside noises though. The amenities were really nice - smart lockers, sauna and steam room, healthy snacks and drinks, slippers, wraps, and towels. We were allowed to use them for an hour after class. The locker room is a little tight. But it is what it is :) worth a visit.
I have been getting massages at The Well for a couple years now (probably one of their first customers after re—opening during the pandemic) and for the most part, I’ve enjoyed my time & services here. But in the last few months, the quality of service has gone down while the prices for those services have gone up.There seems to be a lack of communication between the front desk and the changing/locker room area. They now assign you a locker and the code they give you to open your designated locker is incorrect. So now I have to find an empty open locker. I know how the lockers work so I set a new code. No robe though because I can’t get into the pre-assigned locker. I don’t want to walk all the way back to the front desk which is on a separate floor. No staff in sight downstairs that can help either.Lack of staff & entitled customers translates to a messy area. It would be nice if people could pick up after themselves but unfortunately they don’t. Wet towels, used spa shoes & coffee cups all around. The last two massage therapists I had were just ok. But not ok for what I paid. The one I had a couple months ago definitely was super new. They gave him the holiday no one else wanted to work. You know how they always ask upfront if you have any injuries and any special reason you came in? There was none of that. I had to offer up that information and he didn’t seem very interested. Yesterday’s massage was a bit better but it was basically a 90-minute back massage. Neither massage was full body even though that’s what I booked. Yesterday’s add-on of a scalp massage lasted maybe 2 minutes - and then back to my back. I paid $448 for a back massage that I had to wear my street clothes to the massage room for and I could not get out of there fast enough. I’ve had a fondness for The Well for a long time but I’m not sure I’ll be coming back.My first inclination is to offer this kind of feedback privately but The Well does not ask for customer feedback. And I’m not talking about the young women at the front desk who ask “how was it?” but no post-session customer service emails providing the opportunity to share feedback.
Exceptional place to unwind and grab a healthy bite to eat and or get a treatment done . I spent the day here and loved every minute . Started with the bone broth and it was delicious . Had the greens salad paired with a lemon lime water in a can . Both were also very tasty . I ate in their library surrounded by books that are available to enjoy during your visit . Very clean & spacious with two floors . They have a couple of saunas, showers along with Dyson hair dryers to use . Nice touch I have to say . Also plenty of lockers available and a lounge area with water & almonds . I got the lymphatic massage /dry brushing and loved that experience . The place is not cheap but to me it’s worth it to be able to hang out awhile and get ready there . They had lots of their products to try . All of the staff is very nice and happy to help with any questions . One small suggestion for them would be to maybe close the doors in the library so it’s quieter when the cafe is so busy on the weekend ? Just a thought . Hope to visit again soon . Lovely way to spend a Saturday ,
I came to The Well for the first time this weekend & let me tell you, I am obsessed! I got a 60-minute Swedish with Jennifer and it was the loveliest. The whole experience was so cool, they allow you access to the dry sauna + steam room during your visit, I enjoyed the former after my treatment. There’s complimentary water and tea, and you’re offered a robe & slippers to change into on your arrival. The locker room is so beautiful, the showers + vanities are divine (they are totally stocked so you have everything you need during your visit)! I have to shout-out the staff too, everyone was so kind. They really took the time to make sure I was comfortable and knew where everything was (particularly since today was my first time in), it was so nice! I will absolutely be back for future treatments.
Most zen relaxing message ever! Mary is AMAZING! it truly made my week and her hands were magic!!
If you’re looking for an escape from the harsh realities of every day life, come to this place. This is a true luxury spa. No detail has been overlooked, every inch of the space is setup nicely. I particularly enjoyed the steam roomand locker area.I received a 60 minute deep tissue massage. The massage was above average and the masseuse did an excellent job making me feel at peace.I did not want to leave, will certainly be back.
I took the Complete class, with Dara. She had a great balance of delivering informed alignment and encouragement to keep us moving. I enjoyed the avocado toast and tried the recommended bone broth at the cafe. Both were delish! Looking forward to coming back for a massage and the saunas.
Came previously for the saunas and they were great. But this review is just for food at the restaurant which was atrocious. Got 2 breakfast tacos and a side of roasted potatoes. First the waitress messed up our order. We ordered a breakfast tacos with steak and they were no eggs in the tacos we received. The tortillas were horrible quality and very dry. The steak was rubbery and unseasoned. Use the saunas and run away from the restaurant!!!
I went to THE WELL yesterday for the first time and I was thrilled with my experience. I knew of the space but all my expectations could not measure up. I experienced a Craniosacral Therapy, which I would suggest to anyone who is interested in relaxing and resetting.
Nice atmosphere! Amenities were really great, albeit very crowded (not enough lockers, had to wait for a shower, etc). I went on a Saturday morning, so would assume other times arent as busy. Yoga class wasnt the best; the instructor taught the wrong class (everyone showed up thinking it was Embody, a relaxing meditative class, and instead she taught Empower, a higher intensity vinyasa class). Was confusing as it was clear no one in the class had shown up expecting a high intensity class. Teacher was filling in for someone, so probably just a mistake, but I let the front desk associate know as I checked out (to prevent it from happening again) who just responded Okay?. I like both types of classes so wasnt that bothered. Overall, I enjoyed the experience and would consider coming back at a different time of the week.
Seriously a stunning place! I went for an amazing yoga class with Kate Kuss and it was magical. No one teaches like Kate. She is fully in the moment, has so much experience to share for mind and body. Plus, her playlists are killer.I heard the food is delicious and the space is expansive with pockets of different places to hang out, socialize and enjoy. The locker rooms are gorgeous. It’s a spa so you feel that luxury when you are in the space.Definitely take Kate’s class and make a fun experience of it and plan to stay and enjoy!I definitely want to go back, take another yoga class, stay for brunch and enjoy more amenities like the steam room.
Randy is an exceptional therapist. Professional, intuitive and has very good technique. I was very pleased
If I could leave 0 stars I would. I booked an infrared sauna for 2, for 60 minutes. My boyfriend and I had 11 minutes left on the timer that was set for our experience. An attendant opened the door while we were both not clothed and wearing our towels. I quickly got up to grab the door and then she knocked the second time and I said, “we’re naked” and then she aggressively closed the door, said our time was up when it was not.I actually took a picture of the exact moment before to send to a friend and then right after because of the time it occurred. I emailed them the pictures as well but still no response.Kimmel Yeager, the director of operations then proceeded to take us into her office at the end and accuse us of inappropriate behavior when that was not the case at all.All in all, I came to the well for a relaxing experience and I got the complete opposite after something I paid for. I left feeling completely violated and shocked at the accusations that were made. There was no inappropriate behavior that occurred. My boyfriend and I were simply lounging after our sauna session and the attendant assumed the worst. I am so incredibly disappointed in the way their staff handled this situation and how we were treated. Our positive experience was completely tarnished in the end.
The staff are incredibly rude and pretentious. When my friend and I got there they didn’t say anything to us so I walked up to someone to check in. The guy seemed confused like he was new but the girl next to him didn’t offer any help. She just stood there giving us nasty looks. I asked if we could do our session together which they acted inconvenienced by. We were told we would get a tour, but the guy only showed us the locker room and told us someone would come get us from the waiting area for our sauna session. No one ever came and got us so we went in on our own and only had about 20 minutes left. There was a very nice person cleaning the bathroom who gave us an impromptu tour after seeing us sitting and waiting for 15 minutes past when we were supposed to have our session. The lady with the short black hair has a disgusting attitude and gave us dirty looks for finding our way to the FREE amenities which are advertised on the website so why would we not use them? 2 stars because the place is nice and there was one nice person who helped us out but overall would not come back to this place.
The space is beautiful but it doesnt really have that luxe, high-end feel other spas have. Most people treat themselves to a spa day to feel special and relaxed. However, the people that work here make it known you are one of MANY people in and out of there that day.I came here for massage for my birthday. I called ahead of time to see if I could come in earlier than my massage time to enjoy the sauna and they said of course. As I am checking-in, another woman arrives for her treatment and they proceed to tell her that the spa is closed until after 3 PM. I was a little confused as I had JUST called about 30 minutes prior to ask if I can come an hour earlier than my appointment?? They offer her an infrared sauna session because she was upset and I offered to just come back a little later. I didnt want to make a scene or get upset on my birthday as it seemed a little silly. However I wish I had. When I came back at 3 PM the woman at the desk had no recollection of who I was or that I had just checked in.This is obviously a luxury and something silly to complain about, however I really wish I had spent my money on a different spa to have a more pleasant experience.
Massage was lovely. However extremely disappointed to see an arbitrary $25 “peak pricing” charge added to my bill without being notified or acknowledged at time of payment. I am a loyal customer having been here several times, and I am already paying a premium price (which I am fine with), so to have the hidden fee added, is just a really disappointing business practice. Not coming back as a result.
10/10 recommend! I went here for a massage on my birthday and had the best and most relaxing time. Paola was WONDERFUL and made it very personalized. Best spa experience in the city! x
I went last month and was quite disappointed with the service: it’s a beautiful place but the massage isn’t great. I have been to many places for professional massage as I practice sports competitively. The therapist was very rushed and superficial. She even made some unsolicited comments on my spine (?) which didn’t make any sense. I am actively working with sport physicians and PTs and have no issues since I compete. A massage therapist isn’t a doctor and should refrain on such comments. She then proceeded using some oils which cost extra without asking me. Luckily these extra charges were later removed at check out after I mentioned I wasn’t informed.20% tip gets automatically added regardless of how good the service is.I am writing this review today only after a friend just had the exact same experience with a different therapist.I would not recommend this place.
Extremely Unprofessional. They completely ruined our wedding anniversary celebration. I contacted them over a month prior to the date to inquire about reserving their couples massage, after which I was told to call to finalize the booking. I did just that, selected the time for the massage (I was told they had pretty much any time available that day). We have 2 small children so we arranged everything for them to be watched after so that we can finally get some time as a couple. Fast forward a month later, three days before what is supposed to be our relaxing time at the spa, I receive a call from them stating that somehow there was a booking error and that they cannot see us that day. I cannot comprehend how there was a booking error and how they only realized that 3 days before us coming to this establishment. And finding a different, nice spa with availability for that day proved to be of no luck as none of them had openings for that day. So what was supposed to be a relaxing anniversary experience, ended up not taking place because of this supposed booking error. I was also told that a manager will reach out to me to rectify this but I did not hear from one, which further proves that they do not care about any customers, or potential customers.
I went for the maderoterapia massage about a year ago and loved everything about my experience. my therapist educated me on the techniques used and it’s benefits. i also ove their wellness shop on the top floor, filled with the best quality products for skin and wellbeing, as well as beautiful accessories
I was looking for a true spa experience in Manhattan for my birthday and decided to try out The Well with a 60 minute massage from Shannon. It was absolutely incredible! The facilities are amazing, beautiful, and peaceful. The service itself was wonderful and the whole experience was just perfect. It might be a LITTLE on the expensive side (in all my research I found that most spa 60 min massages in Manhattan were around $175, this was $185) but you absolutely get what you pay for and it was completely worth it. I highly recommend!
I’ve been going to The Well for months, mainly for massages & the steam room. The amenities are great.I wish they would show the massage therapists bios and allow an optional 20% - I’ve had 3 therapists that were not great and tip is mandatory, automatically gets charged to my card & not included in their high rates, which were increased a few months ago. Seems off and in comparison to other spas. I suggest asking tons of questions, if you can get someone on the phone or respond via email.
I am very unsure how to rate The Well - on one hand the services, food, massage and downstairs area with sauna and dressing rooms are amazing! But all this comes with a massive amount of frustration when it comes to booking classes online and managing my account (which does not work at all)! Id love to take some yoga classes with the $250 dollar pass I purchased but the IT is extraordinarily bad! Nothing works for me :( Very disappointing.
Had the most fantastic deep tissue massage with Jennifer. The space is beautiful and the entire staff is working hard to ensure there’s always water, towels, and anything else you need (seriously, they’re hustling and yet somehow non intrusive!). The sauna and steam room are kept at the perfect temp—I’ve been to too many spa saunas where they keep the temp super low, which defeats the purpose of a sauna/steam room. The only thing I wish they’d do? Put in the sand timers you often find in saunas (so it’s easier to keep track of how long you’ve been in—especially when you’re in a corner and can’t see the clock outside). Will be back!
Very bad food for an astonishingly high price. I got the buffalo chicken bowl and it was unwell. They must get their chicken from Tortured Chickens Co. I had to go buy another lunch afterwards.Naya who is just around the corner is orders of magnitude better and costs $13.
An oasis in NYC - truly unlike anywhere else Ive ever visited. So relaxing. so curated, so welcoming. This place has the most amazing energy. I am so excited to go back. I had a reiki session done with David, he was INCREDIBLE. Looking forward to returning and utilizing the sauna and steam rooms (which they allow guests to use before or after the service). My new favorite spot in NYC.
Wow. As a 1st time visitor I couldn’t have left any more impressed. So clean, everyone was so accommodating, and I got an all-time great massage. The fact is that I got to enjoy myself after the massage even more just by munching on some free snacks, hitting the steam room, and a having a hot shower which were all added bonuses. Well worth it (pun?).
A treat place for me. Spa and space is nice and a unique refuge in Union square. Lunch in is better than take away. A great place for a quick catch up with a friend.
Rude and over priced. Changed their policies so classes now do not have access to sauna and steam room amenities (did not tell me until I arrived) and upped their prices even though I booked with the origami price and showed management a screenshot of me paying $35. Place is nice but lack of communication to the client and now lack of amenities for $60.
Beautiful wellness center with wide range of offerings. I regularly get treatments and drips here, as well as take many mindful movement classes. Staff and instructors are all stellar, even when dealing with some difficult crowds. Food is consistently delicious.
I was disappointed with the location of the foot massage place. It was upstairs, which meant that we had to walk through the restaurant with our robe on to get to the foot massage area. The changing room itself felt cramped and small. Additionally, the foot massage room was combined with the IV room, so people were constantly coming in and out, which was noisy and disruptive. Overall, I didnt have a great experience at this establishment.
The best wellness spa in New York City. Worth it to visit.
The integration massage was PHENOMENAL. Totally worth the price - was the best massage I’ve had on the east coast. Space is so beautiful and staff are SO welcoming. Highly recommend.
Nice staff. My wife enjoyed her pre-natal massage.
Lovely atmosphere, food and service. Will definitely come back.
The Well is such a lovely place! What an oasis! The food is very good and the locker rooms and chill out spaces are excellent! I have gone for several meals and a couple of infrared sauna appointments.I highly recommend it!
This spot is my happy place in New York, a little slice of peaceful heaven. The cafe serves really high quality produce and the downstairs meditation room is absolutely divine. Shanti on the front desk was so helpful when I was organizing my friend’s birthday gift there - talk about above and beyond. So impressed!
Nice space. Good selection of healthful food. However, what the hell is wrong with their buckwheat pancake??? This is the driest pancake I have ever consumed in my life. I sincerely encourage management to indulge in food tasting before they serve their patrons. I am sure there are other gluten free grains they can incorporate to make this pancake more edible. To make matters worse, pancake is barely warm and the butter is rock solid frozen hard. Needless to say, I could only force one pancake done my throat. Left the other two. What a waste.
Excellent massage and sauna here! Randy is great!!
Such a relaxing place. Great place to treat yourself for a spa day
The Well is a calming oasis with a lovely cafe, welcoming atmosphere and beautiful and healing services. Highly recommend to visitors as a great option outside of hotel experiences.
This place is a beautiful, calm sanctuary. The staff were so caring and courteous. The massage and steam were heavenly - Jennifer is a amazing!! Thank you!
Rude and over priced. Changed their policies so classes now do not have access to sauna and steam room amenities. Didn’t tell me. I had to ask. The staff was rude when you try to ask them questions. The only exception was the girl at the front desk. Place is nice but lack of communication is horrible. That experience made me cancel my food reservation. I’m never going back.
This place is a splurge, tucked away from the hustle and bustle in NYC. I have yet to do a treatment, but I come of Ericas yoga class Thurs night. She has THE best with hands on assists and the best music with high vibrations. Do yourself a favor and spend extra time before or after your class or treatment. Take advantage of the lockerroom and the reading room!
Tastes a-ma-zing!!! You would not know it’s vegan. Plus it tastes better than regular fast food burger chains!!!Fries are super crisp, just for the fries you can try it out! Will return soon 😍
Beautiful space for working, taking classes and eating lunch. Took a yoga class and left feeling refreshed and relaxed!
My favorite spot in the city to escape and reconnect.Love the space and the atmosphere.
Absolutely in love with this place. I found out about it about a month ago because my favorite esthetician on the planet started working here and I followed of course. I came this past Saturday for a facial with Miriam and once again she revitalized my skin. I was suffering from bad inflammation on my right side and typically suffer from hormonal acne. Miriam has Midas touch. My skin has cleared immensely and I can’t be more thankful. Additionally, The Well itself is such a beautiful space. I felt at ease the moment I was greeted. Definitely a nice little gem.
I was invited to for a once-in-a-lifetime experience at The Well and thought it was fabulous. From the moment I walked into the facility, I felt a sense of calmness come over me. I was warmly welcomed into this serene, white space. I was shown around and was area was more appealing than the next. The space was immaculate. You saw staff cleansing it regularly and the downstairs steam and sauna area was incredible. I truly enjoyed my tour and visit so much. Theres no place like this anywhere in NYC.My friend took me for whats called a QiGong Bath, which is something Ive never done before. I was very skeptic about it but I still agreed to do it. Well, by the end I was seeing more clearly and felt lighter and relaxed. I found it to be completely serene and euphoric. L... and, these days, to feel relaxed in NYC is the best and worth every penny and minute. From this class, I ended up in a meditative state and it was an amazingly incredible experience I would love to do again. After my class they gave me a phenomenal, light and undefined tea. Im definitely going to go back and get some. After the QiGong, we had a light bite that was delicious. So now, not only was a great place for all-around wellness, but the wellness includes really healthy food.Initially The Well was supposed to be a membership only club but I was thrilled they opened it up to the public. I look forward to experiencing many more wonderful practices and experiences at this amazing and beautiful facility. They have so many different options on their menu.I dont know if this makes sense, but on a glum and rainy day, I felt really happy and bright, walking out.The Well is a must go!
Perfect spot for a healthy lunch. Attentive staff - (water glass never reached empty) - and the most delicious beef tips Ive ever had. Will be my go-to when Im in the area.
I never write reviews but felt the need to share. I thought the concept of The Well is so great and wanted to love it so bad. I got a 1 hour lymphatic drainage massage there a couple of months ago and the fire alarm went off in the middle of my session! It was pretty terrifying because the spa is below ground and I thought it was confusing to try and exit. I was also nervous I’d have to run out of the building in a robe with no clothes on. It turned out to be a false alarm thank god. However, when my session was over I really expected there to be some type of apology or discount applied to my session but the women at the front desk said nothing at all and giggled when I mentioned the alarm. Overall I don’t think I will return as I was pretty disappointed with how they handled this incident!
I went on a company sponsored trip to THE WELL NY and we had such an amazing experience! Chan was absolutely wonderful 🥹 we learned so much and we can only hope that we can bring the same experience to our fellow Floridians at THE WELL Residences in bay harbor 🩷
Ive been a couple of times at The Well and I absolutely love everything about this wellness heaven.I recently made a 1:1 private meditation class with Director of Vibrational Energy Healing for one of my clients and he is so happy practicing what he learned in his session. With just two days of practicing this breathing technique he shared he is feeling more relaxed and his headaches have diminished.Ill be sending more of my clients to experience many of their experiences.
I’ve been a member since they opened and I’ve really enjoyed the sense of community they’ve built there. I enjoy taking the restorative yoga class and the weekly workout classes help to keep me committed to my goals. The entire staff from top to bottom is welcoming and diverse, so I always feel at home when I’m there. I can’t recommend joining the well enough. Best decision I’ve made.
Ammon’s treatment was simply perfect.
I went here to indulge in a a beautiful afternoon with my best friend while visiting NYC. We both have never ever felt better in my life after a massage or a treatment.I had the Lymph Drainage Massage & Dry Brushing with Jess, and she was the most wonderful human ever. I still am thinking about the care she gave me, and how energized I felt after. My friend had the Craniosacral Facial and felt like she was floating afterwords. (I apologize as I had forgotten her therapists name, but my friend said she has never felt better.)We both had such a positive day, and enjoyed our time at the well. I wish The Well had a location in Seattle so I could go back to get the Lymph Drainage at least once a quarter. (Hint Hint)Thank you Jess, and The Well for a perfect Valentines weekend treat!
Absolutely terrible establishment, the heavy women Victoria is a terrible manager and horrible for accommodations. Waited for our food for an hour and a half, just for it to be bland and flavorless like the staff. Host was no help and servers were absolutely clueless as to where our food was for so long. Would NEVER come back to this place again.
The Well is an absolute wellness oasis in the middle of busy hectic NYC. The classes, treatments, food and service are great and I love the atmosphere. I always feel calm the minute I walk in and great walking it. I recommend it for anyone finding that spa/mediation/wellness all accompanying experience in the middle of a city.
The best massage I’ve ever had, and I’ve had many. Paula is incredible, you won’t be disappointed!
Decent foot massage, but facilities (sauna, steam, locker room and products) are lovely and relaxing. Service was accommodating. Note, sauna is co-ed so you must be draped in a towel throughout
I did the East Meets West facial this week and it was truly a game changer. I never relax, even when Im in situations where I can and should, but as soon as I was on that infrared massage bed I felt immediately calm. My practitioner was amazing and my skin has never looked better!
THE WELL is the best spot in New York City. They honestly have it all, and the energy and kindness of everyone working there is unmatched. Services are lovely and the amenities are extremely relaxing. Would be back 100x over!
The Well is truly an urban oasis! Centrally location, just off Union Sq., it’s convenient to go no matter my daily agenda. I love their classes- from yoga to HEAT interval training. All the instructors are stellar. Such a treat afterwards to use their luxe locker rooms for a sauna or steam! Their attention to detail throughout the Club is impeccable. I leave feeling centered and...very WELL!
Clean facilities, below average massage/experience, staff tries to force a minimal 20%+ tip. As a health experience there was a very sick customer in the spa. Not on par with the price.
Gabrielle at the Well gave me an amazing massage. I have a very high bar, and this exceeded my expectations. Excellent facilities too.
I am a Founding Member and love THE WELL. The morning mediations, energy work, support circles, community talks, yoga, coaching, HEAT interval training, and the delicious creations from the Kitchen are all 5-star. You can’t beat the steam/sauna, locker and relaxation areas. It’s a mini-vacay. The central location in Union Square makes my life feel more centered and less-stressed - it’s my central hub during the week for wellness, work lunches, and seeing friends. The leadership team is always quick to respond to suggestions and feedback. I really appreciate the care and attention to detail. It’s my urban elixir!
Love everything about this spa & Marissa was the best!
Unsanitary and poor customer service- attended a Yoga class but when asked were I can change, I was directed to the toilet room. Gave feedback on my way out to the receptionist and was told that managements policy is not to allow the use of changing room for safety of customers. Sending a guest to the toilet room to change is unsafe and if your policy is not to provide changing room than do not run classes and use toilets as a place to change.
Randy was so lovely and the massage was awesome!!
Great food and it smells incredible when you walk in. You can dine in or order to go. Mostly healthy/fit focused for pre or post workout meal. Staff was incredible and friendly.
They do a great job here- always leave feeling calm and relaxed. I love doing a facial followed by a foot massage and lunch.
First time here, and second appointment coming up. Beautiful location. Looking forward to more visits when in the city.
The Well is possibly the best wellness institution to open in NYC. Its a place of calm among all the choas of every day life in New York City. The space is stunning and the services and amendities are quite incredible. The classes offered are taught by truly experienced instructors and it is great to find a place that you are able to do a range of different workouts and yoga practices. Additionally, the health advisors and doctors offer an amazing integrated approach to wellness and they do a fantastic job of communicating with each other so nothing falls through the cracks. The Well is truly a unique place!
The space is really gorg! Great wellness offerings and massages! I visit Joseph regularly. He has fixed my back pain. Happy to have this amazing place in the city.
I highly recommend meditation with Carlos. The spa is peaceful, clean and beautiful and offers a full range of healing and wellness services. I also love the cafe upstairs.
Very nice vibes and good healthy food! Usually takes a while for the food though so expect to wait a while for the food.
I go here all the time it’s hands down the best place in nyc to go for a massage or any relaxing treatment!! 10/10 recommend every time I go it’s exceptional service
I don’t get why if you take a class you can’t use the sauna like it’s legitimately SO DUMB. Or add a $10 charge idk. Was going to visit but nah
Definitely a 5 star experience! The service and staff were excellent. The facilities are clean and modern. Cant say enough good things about this oasis!!!
Olga was amazing! Couldn’t have asked for a better facial :)
All aspect was wonderful, calming atmosphere, friendly and accommodating staff, and the best swedish massage thus far. I will definitely return
I booked a private infrared sauna experience and multiple staff members came into the private room while I was undressed.
Expensive but a great treat! Staff is very knowledgeable, and the facilities are beautiful. The bath products and wellness cafe were nice surprises.
Beautiful space with lovely personnel and amazing attention to every detail. The food is delicious and the classes are very relaxing and engaging. Can not wait to come back for more.
Great meal! It was nourishing and delicious, great service, very healthy and delicious. We loved every minute and can’t wait to get back!
Cellular Hydration & Energy Boost Vitamin Infusion - My first infusion, delivered professionally in a ultra comfortable environment . It was a full body and mind thirst quench!
Very poor and not relaxing experience
So magical here, I felt so refreshed and renewed. A must for Self Care . Make sure Elize gives you a tour, she was amazinggggg.
Amazing, relaxing, hit every pressure point -
Food was amazing. They have lot of healthy and vegetarian options. The place has overalls great vibe and ambience
Such a peaceful place. Great for breakfast, lunch, or just for sipping some tea while trying to get an hour of work done. Love it here.
Beautiful ambiance, great food, good wine, has a quiet library space for heads down work. Also has a spa.
Terrible experience here. Horrible customer service. Don’t be late or accidentally schedule wrong day or they will fully charge you for service you didn’t have and then some. Was a loyal customer and am beyond disappointed on their lack of understanding.
All of my Wellness needs covered under one roof. The Well does the high quality vetting for me. Stop by and try a Reflexology & tea. Its divine.
It’s a beautiful place but the customer service is severely lacking, the amenities have catches to them, and it’s definitely NOT relaxing with the crowd of people there. Go elsewhere lol because it’s not worth the prices in my opinion
Meh. Not impressed. Basic service, nice enough staff and average food.
Incredible space!! I got the massage and enjoyed the sauna and steam room!
Beautiful space, great food, very attentive staff and wellness coaches that go the extra mile. A retreat within the city - I go as often as possible.
Had a deep tissue massageEverything is so nice simple and clean from check in to check outCrystal was amazing thank you very muchHighly recommended
Unwelcoming staff refused access because I arrived a couple minutes late for a yoga class and charged a $17 missed reservation fee on top of my classpass credits
Dara transported me with sound and reiki. i’ve never seen my thurs eye as clearly as that!
You can never go wrong about your well-being!
Excellent professional friendly knowledgeable service. I will go back many times.
Had a nice relaxing afternoon in the beautiful spa area. I got a remodeling facial from Cristina, she works wonders!
Just had the new Steak option on the menu. It was phenomenal!
I love The Well! Perfect Oasis in the city to unwind, decompress, eat healthy, mindful movement classes and incredible treatments!
I love being a member! Yessenia is my go to for Lymph Drainage and I love the Complete class.
The most relaxing place I’ve ever found in the city! The yoga sessions are a must go!
Gorgeous space. Practitioners are good and I found the treatments to be effective. Everyone is super nice, and the food is good too!
Saw a Tiktok of a woman who had a terrible time and agreed with her sentiments. CLEAN IT UP WELL OR GOOGLE WILL TAKE YA DOWN
Such an amazing place with amazing people!! Would highly recommend for whatever treatment you’re wanting to explore.
I was living a block away and had got their breakfast bowl 3 times a week
Very pleasant place. Review for the restaurant and retail store
Beautiful facility! Amazing Cafe. Complete wellness experience.
Their website is so easy to migrate and very informative
Miscommunication within staff and they make up the rules as they go, felt it was very unprofessional
The most beautiful and most favorite place in NYC!
Go see Jess Klein!!!!
This is my new favorite spot for dinner and acupuncture.
Very cute but EXTREMELY overpriced
Yummy food and extraordinarily nice staff
Great place but very expensive
Im enjoying the website.
