Today was the sixth time I received a massage at this establishment over the last year. The last five times I have been satisfied with my massage; the spa has always been clean, calm and the massage relieving. Today, the massage therapist informed me she did not do walking back massage (of which I was seeking) and said she would “try her best to do a deep tissue massage“. I think it’s safe to say that all massage therapists are not created equal and you should definitely ask when making an appointment if the therapist is versed in deep tissue/Swedish/walking back massage and is able to perform the massage you are looking for. Today was a 60 minute lotion application for $70… And she was baffled that I did not leave a tip. I have to say I have received more relief from a pedicure massage chair than the service I received today at Amber massage. She was very nice and pleasant, just did not perform at a level worthy of the title “massage therapist”. Being able to get in for a same day service is wonderful, but quality of service definitely should not suffer.
Great massage from Elena (birth given name Yu). She is definitely customer oriented and attentive which I appreciate. She did a mixture of Swedish, hot stone, and walk on back massage. Having chronic neck and back issues I have been to A LOT of massage therapists and the traditional Chinese/East Asian massage methods such as walking on back is definitely why I prefer Asian style massage! The price was very fair, $70 for one hour and she took me as a walk in client at 6 pm which is AMAZING.My only critiques are actually in regards to the website. It does not include prices and considering that many people who want a massage asap will go to one of those god awful franchises like massage envy which charge a whopping $120 an hour (and which actually never have any walk in availability) they should definitely advertise their competitive pricing. Also the website is mostly all stock photos which could deter people who havent been to massage parlors in Asia or to those that are Asian immigrant owned. It would be great to see employee profiles for the therapists detailing their training and experience in the massage therapy field and what methods they specialize in as a practitioner. It would be nice as well if they stated whether or not they take health insurance. This isnt an issue exclusive to this particular massage clinic though. When i had insurance that included massage I would often have to call clinics to find out because their website didnt clarify. Anyways, thank you for a great massage!
Amy’s the massage therapist here does a very good massage for your stiff muscles in your back and your aches and pains. And the shop is very clean and smells very good.
Great for last minute appointments and a really well-done massage. Prices are also super affordable and Ill be definitely going back soon.
