The Bodhi Spa Newport

I brought my boyfriend here his birthday to experience the Water Journey. The staff was friendly and the establishment is very clean and sanitary. I love the light weight robes and lavender scented cooling towel!The price is great and 2.5 hours is plenty of time to relax and be rejuvenated!

The spa is wonderful, the check-in woman was quite rude and the other middle aged woman was also not welcoming and took me to the women’s room and said “There is the door to the spa, will you remember that?” She did not explain the locker setup and I was very surprised. The Newport experience is so lovely.The woman at the check-out when I left was very kind and the young girl that was working in the dressing room was lovely. I would recommend some retraining for the blonde woman working mid day and the other middle aged woman.This is a very relaxing experience, but it should be welcoming right from the start.

Lovely staff! Just so nice and the manager seems very personable and I love that!Greeted with smiles upon walk in!I had a deep tissue with Bill! He was honestly so great. Told him about my work which carries some back and sciatic pain. He’s the first person I’ve ever had that really worked in my hips. Also my face, first time for that too. I gotta say it was awesome, left feeling great!Book with Bill!

We loved it! Every detail was great. It was so relaxing. Hot tubs, steam room, 3 different saunas! I didn’t get too many pictures, because camera not allowed inside the water journey room.It was easy to walk to from the area with many shops and restaurants.My only complaint was how far in advance I needed to book the reservation. I wish there were more appointments available. Our appointment was 2 1/2 hours and I think I would’ve been happy with a shorter one if it was available, even 1 hour would be fine. And please Bodhi spa, expand to more locations!! How about Medford, MA? 😀

After being recommended by friends in the area, I brought my wife here for our Anniversary. We did the Express Water Journey since all else was booked up, and I just have to say that the experience was beyond our expectations. From opening the door and walking in, the environment is welcoming and comfortable, staff are top notch, courteous and friendly. The cold plunge, 2 hot tubs, saunas, and Eucalyptus Steam room were incredible and well worth the very reasonable pricing and value!Thank you Bodhi Spa for such a memorable experience.Definitely returning!

I was so excited to try the Bodhi Spa in Newport but had to cancel my reservation because the time no longer worked for me. I had been in email contact with an employee at the spa so I reached out over 48 hours before my appointment to cancel to ensure I wouldn’t be charged a late or no show fee. I heard nothing back so about 26 hours before the appointment I reached out again to follow up and responded to the automated text the spa sent asking me to confirm or cancel. I didn’t hear anything back. On Sunday I was charged the full price of the treatment for a “no show.” I called to ask why/if I could be refunded but the employee I spoke with said the manager wasn’t in and hadn’t been for several days but would be back Monday and would give me a call first thing. I waited all day Monday and Tuesday and received no correspondence… it’s Wednesday and I still have yet to hear back from them…

This Was truly the best experience Ive had. I could feel all the stress exiting my body with each spa treatment. I cant wait to go back, and enjoy it again! Thank you Bohdi Spa

This was the worst spa experience Ive ever had. I was scheduled for a 90min deep tissue massage with red light therapy. I arrive to my appointment and had difficulty seeking help with the locker complications. I finally get situated for my 90min massage and they scheduled me for a 60min massage instead of a 90min. Not nly that, the massage therapist was awful! He seemed very shakey. Hard to communicate with him. He kept tripping over the trash can.. it was not relaxing at all, his massage was only digging into my bones/joints and barely used any massage oil!.Very painful! Im still bruised and my shoulders and knee joints still feel out of place. I informed him of the pain but he still continued to dig into my bones.After the massage, they still tried to charge for the 90min massage w the red light therapy! SoI had to tell them to remove charges. There was a neglect of care, and professionalism from beginning to end.Im not one to post negative reviews but Im only posting this because this can put somebodys health in jeopardy. Getting a massage here strongly lacks professionalism and if I let him massage me any longer, I could end up with permanent spinal and joint/ligament issues. I would not recommend anybody to get a massage here.The mineral therapy pools and saunas are nice. They just need to remove the fabric couches out of the pool room simply because of the risks of mold.

One of the highlights of our Newport, RI trip was when my husband booked us days ahead for 2 and a half hours of Water Journey which is essentially hydrotherapy, at the Bodhi Spa. I appreciated the booking process via text, intake forms 24 hours ahead of the appointment and the temperature checks, reinforcement of masks before and during the process (we also bought the ones best suited/wet suit material for $5 each on site) and the brief walk through with the water attendant. The facility in itself isnt huge but is a good efficient use of space, pretty clean as wellOn to our water journey! So hydrotherapy is basically the process of stimulating your circulatory system by alternating in hot and very cold water (55 degrees Fahrenheit or 12.7 degrees Celsius!) to detoxify and bring you complete rejuvenation. At first I was terrified of trying the cold water but in the end I was able to complete 5 cycles of the recommended water journey! I felt so proud and my body was practically thanking me for braving it!You basically alternate from hot and cold. We alternated from the Therapeutic 104˚ Epsom Salt Pool, Mineral Rich 98˚ Dead Sea Salt Pool, Stimulating 55˚ Cold Plunge Pool, Detoxifying Infrared Sauna, Eucalyptus Steam Room and the Traditional Finnish Sauna. I would try to last at least 30 seconds in the cold plunge pool and Id literally be shaking but I survived! And did this 5 times! So proud haha!Overall so happy and grateful that we got to experience this in one of New Englands best spas! Thankful that they were so strict, clean, and literally allowed only 4 people in while a water attendant made sure we were doing okay. Highly recommend hydrotherapy, I felt like a brand new person after! ☺️

TOP OF THE NOTCHWasnt sure what to expect for Hydro Therapy and it was amazing! Went with a group of girlfriends, and if you can do the private rental DO IT.Staff was attentive without being intrusive, and the changing rooms, and water room were clean and well stocked. The outside looked cute as well, but since it was late we stayed indoors.And the ice bath is indeed icy🧊

My experience was excellent. Clean, well appointed and comfortable space. The staff was professional and respectful. My massage was one of the best Ive received. Definitely going back when Im next in Newport!

As you can see for the OWNERS response here, they are dreadful. Also the 2 reviews after mine are managers, you can look them up on LinkedIn.I have come to both the Providence and Newport locations 20-30 times in the last year. I’ve only utilized the Water Journey facilities. I have really enjoyed the space but the staff and management are dreadful. I fell on the stairs once and nobody in the staff even noticed, I had a massive bruise on my thigh for weeks. Then I came and the steam room was broken and nobody called to give me the option to reschedule and when I brought it up later to management they offered me 10% off which is basically nothing. So I emailed the owner to tell her that her managers response is a direct result of poor leadership. I also told her that the retail component of the spa is a tragic missed opportunity mostly because they have had the exact same tired old spa products on the shelves theyve had the entire year I came there. She obviously didnt like my criticism so she banned me for complaining. I have owned a business for 8 years and that’s no way to treat a consistent client that spent a couple thousand at your place.

I have been visiting the spa multiple times a year for three years now. I come all the way from central mass.My husband and I do the water journey everytime. We make a whole day out of coming down to town and the spa is the center of it.The most recent time we were there the help of the staff and in particular Kristen was exceptional.My husband and I wanted to do something we love together before a lengthy deployment for military and here we came. With the clientele that day a little louder and more rambunctious than other times, Kristen did her best to rectify the situation and make us feel seen. We will not forget the kindness she gave us that day.If you are looking for the best hydrotherapy experience around come try it out for yourself.

First of all, the location is great. Its located on a quiet street and is away from the downtown traffic. Plenty of street parking as well.I had an hour long deep tissue massage with Bill; He was amazing! He made sure to ask me if there were any areas I wanted him to focus on and checked in with me during the massage to make sure I was okay. He even went a few minutes past the hour mark to ensure that he got as many knots out as possible.Everyone working here is incredibly kind, respectful and welcoming. You feel relaxed from the second you walk through the door. I feel as though the prices are fair as well. Thank-you to all of the staff!

Absolutely amazing experience! Lily, Allison and Rob are amazing at their craft; our facials and massages were superb - Kudos!The water journey hydrotherapy was a unique experience. I love how wonderful my body felt after a few rounds of the journey. We left feeling relaxed and alive! I would book with this spa again! Highly recommend!!!

Its so wonderful. Very clean. The girls were so friendly. It was our 1st time there. I liked that she said we could stay as long as we liked. The water journey is what we tried. Its a small area. Locker room was so Zen and a cute garden area to relax in the back. The garden area was peaceful and had different lounge chairs. Wed go again for sure.

My mom and I got facials today and Trish was absolutely amazing!! The locker room was a little small and awkward to navigate but besides that we really enjoyed our experience.

The water journey experience made me feel renewed and rejuvenated. My best friend and I really had a blast. Luisa who assisted us provided a thorough overview and helped me and my friend with utmost care. The zen garden was gorgeous and we even met a bunny relaxing in the garden with us while we were enjoyed some meditations. The facility was very clean the different saunas, infrared, steam room, and the showers had many special touches that allow for you to enjoy every moment during the experience. It was hard to whisper but we enjoyed embracing the silence during our time there. Will come back again and again! Thank you!

Bodhi Spa was an utter disappointment and a first class lesson in unprofessionalism. In July of 2023, I booked a private water journey for a bridal party in April 2024. I received a written confirmation after several emails specifying the details of said experience. Upon asking them to process my down payment for reserving this private experience I was told that it was not possible to process payment as the books were not open that far ahead but rest assured the experience had been reserved. This was not given verbally but in an email. I contacted the spa upon the new year to tidy up details and remit payment as well as order refreshments. Hotels have been, reserved, flights purchased, and various reservations made for this bachelorette weekend and it all revolved around the spa experience which was booked seven months ago. Instead of confirming my private reservation, I was told that time slot was booked by a name I was not familiar with. As I explained that this was not possible as I had written confirmation from July, I was asked to give them some time to talk to management. An hour later, I received an email telling me they were sorry but due to a system malfunction my reservation was not saved into the calendar and they could not honor the committed time. Rather, they offered 15% off for the day before or the following morning , a Sunday, at 8:00 AM. For obvious reasons, this was not going to work. I was disappointed for many reasons, one of which is this massive blunder on their part didnt even warrant a phone call. Unprofessional. I got in touch with a manger on my own and she apologized but did not offer any viable solutions. rather, she told me there were two mistakes made on their part, the first the system malfunction and the second, when an employee confirmed the reservation without payment. I tried to pay and they could not process the payment. She told me that there were several reservations during that time and was not willing to change them. I gracefully bowed out of the conversation but voiced my disappointment and reiterated how this whole interaction had been unprofessional. I was left scrambling to find a spa that could accommodate our party as to not ruin the weekend that had been diligently planned well in advance. I caution any bride or bridesmaid who is considering the Bodhi Spa to save themselves the grief and book elsewhere.

Absolutely wonderful experience, the Water Journey was incredible!! Will definitely do again and would highly recommend to others!!Staff was lovely, very organized, nice personal touches like having a robe, & slippers in my size in my designated locker. Own cute glass, cucumber water, and nice towels. Loved the hot eucalyptus cloth when we arrived and the cool eucalyptus clothes during the journey. The spa was serine & immaculate. The journey was clearly explained and detailed in spa. So very relaxing!! No cell phones, just peace and quiet. Loved the whisper policy!! Thank you :-)

I just called to book 2 massages and 2 facials for my best friend and I. The receptionist was incredibly rude and short over the phone, we decided to not book treatments here. Very unfortunate the front desk receptionist was so rude making us not even want to step foot in this spa.

The waterjourney is always amazing - I generally buy bulk water journeys and use throughout the winterKeeping track of my pre-purchase is a bit difficult on their system. But I have to give hi high praise to the staff and especially Kirsten Marshal.incredibly patient, kind and really went into the system to find all my passes. I highly appreciate her, and the time she took to look up all of my outstanding purchases. -and also take the time to go through the system to look at my boyfriends purchases. Again, I cannot thank her enough.

The staff is super accommodating and professional, the treatments are incredible, the water journey is so relaxing.Me and my mom planned a last minute trip to Newport and Bodhi spa were able to accommodate us on very short notice, despite their busy schedule. William is extraordinary - look no further for your next massage! The 90 minute signature Bodhi massage that I received from William was sincerely one of the best massage experiences I have ever had! In addition to his *exceptional* and unique body work technique, William was extremely friendly, communicative and respectful. HIGHLY recommend booking a massage with William!Re the spa in general, I had assumed that the purchase of a massage would include access to the water journey (this has been my experience with many other spas that have water elements) or that there would at least be a discounted admission. I was disappointed to learn upon arrival that it did not. That said, keep in mind that if you want to use the water elements in conjunction with a body treatment, you will need to book and pay for it in addition to that appointment.

I came here two days in a row, once for the water journey and the second time for their signature massage. Both were absolutely amazing! I looked and felt great after both! They pay close attention to small details such as providing robes, sandals, great tasting water, a fresh towel and a locker to store your belongings. Everything was pristinely clean including the showers, changing rooms and restrooms (they even had a box of tampons!)For the water journey I recommend following the layout that they tell you to because although the cold pool is difficult you feel so good in the end!Dan was my masseuse and he did an incredible job checking in and explaining everything. The environment was great for a massage with a heated table.100% recommend!

Relaxing and peaceful experience! My boyfriend and I booked the water journey and it does not disappoint. The Bodhi Spa is clean and luxurious. We enjoyed the beautiful bathrooms, lemon and cucumber water stations and the complimentary lavender cooling towels during our session.Absolutely gorgeous and healing facility. We both felt rejuvenated and all our stress was gone.Highly recommend this place!!

The water journey is rejuvenating. The spa is always clean, staff is friendly and I love the zen garden. Parking can be difficult in the summer and the allotted time for the water journey keeps shrinking each year as prices increase so those are my only drawbacks. The great demand is likely the reason for the changes as everyone I know loves this experience. When you go, do not skip the cold plunge - you’ll feel amazing after.

My mom and I did the 2.5hr water journey that was recommended to us by Katie, it was an amazing relaxing experience! Sara and Michaela were also great and made sure we had everything that we needed/ wanted. The facility was very clean and there were many options for different saunas and pools to try out! Highly recommend!

This was our 1st time here - but it wont be our last. The water journey is so relaxing & peaceful. (OK, the 55° plunge isnt relaxing or peaceful, but its so good for you.) And our couples massage was one of the best weve ever had. Highly recommend if youre in Newport or Providence RI.

The Bodhi Spa is a magical place that can be enjoyed by everyone. My most recent water journey experience was perfect from the start. I was greeted by Ella and Nick at the front desk with huge smiles, a warm towel to clean my hands, and graciously shown my way. Everything is clean beyond words, pristine!! Highly recommend.

I’ve done the water journey numerous times & the experience is so relaxing and works to reset the body and mind! Top do the notch! The staff is so friendly and kind and calm.They answer most calls with texts because they try to keep as quiet as possible in the spa, which I LOVE about them. They are quick to answer any questions I may have!I got my first Deep Tissue Massage ever and was placed with Jayne as my masseuse! I can’t wait even put into works how AMAZING she was. I explained to her my concerns with my body and she knew exactly what to do to make it the most enjoyable experience for me. I’ve never felt more relaxed in my whole life. I can’t believe I waited this long to try my first massage but I’m so grateful my first experience was with Jayne and at THIS spa

Amazing spa experience. Felt rejuvenated on levels I couldnt even imagine. There is a steam room, multiple saunas, two mineral pools, and a cold plunge. You have the option to follow the restorative water journey, which guides you through each amenity. After a couple cycles I started going in no particular order and it was still incredible. This is a creative and intimate date idea as well as a relaxing solo spa journey.

If I had 10 days left to live, Bodhi Spa water journey would be mandatory. Not sure how else to put it!

Lovely place, HOWEVER here is my reason for the 3-star rating. I went there for the water journey, that was wonderful. During my visit, I was given a face towel while in the sauna. After rubbing it all over my face, I realized there was a HUGE clump of hair. While I know these things can happen, I handed it to the front desk so this wouldn’t get mixed up in laundry and happen to anyone else. I got several “sorry’s” but nothing else. In addition, I realized the following morning my hat was stolen from my locker. Very disappointed because I also did not know I had the option to put a lock on my locker. Not sure I would try this place again.**edit** I also noticed that my gold necklace ( a family heirloom) was also stolen. Will definitely never be back here. My 3 star rating is now a one. Unfortunate.

Beautiful spot. We love sitting outside in the winter after having warmed up in the saunas or steam room. Very relaxing, but definitely an older crowd versus the Providence location.

A wonderful experience! The staff are very kind and helpful. Everything is well kept and gorgeous. You will absolutely leave feeling great. Whether you want to follow their guide on where to go and when or go wherever you want whenever you want, I can assure you a pleasant experience. Do visit if you can!

I had a wonderful time at the Bodhi Spa and would recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and revitalizing experience. Cycling between hot and cold definitely helped reset the mind and body and the outdoor area was beautifully set up for unwinding. The management were very welcoming and helpful. Overall, we had an amazing time at this spa and will 100% be returning on our next trip to Newport! :)

We did the water journey here for my sister’s bachelorette. It was a great experience! We had the whole area to ourselves to relax and enjoy. Would highly recommend for big groups!

The business isn’t prepared to handle the most basic call volume or scheduling.You’ll spend more time hunting for available bookings & calling than you even would getting a massage/in the water journey.They’re hiring for a reason (severely understaffed).Vague website, they will not answer your calls for most of the day, and you can’t even see availability online without clicking through every single date and individual service.They also take an very long time responding through their text service takes close to an hour or 2 just to reply to EACH text.Good luck booking.

Terrible customer service, find another spa.My girlfriend recommended this place, previously she took her staff for a company outing and is a regular herself. For my birthday, she recommended we do the water journey together. The morning of, I woke up with a sore throat, congestion, and body aches and phoned them right away. Unfortunately, I was unable to reach anyone by phone for hours and left a voicemail explaining the situation, asking to reschedule.Instead of returning my calls, Miranda sent me a text stating they have a strict 24 hour cancellation policy. My fee would be waived once, however my girlfriend would be charged 50% if she did not come. I explained this was a birthday gift, my girlfriend would not go alone nor would I attend alone at a future visit. I attempted to reach Miranda again by phone and text and never received a response. Safe to say, they lost a future customer.

My friend and I came there last Saturday. Shout out to Olivia, Kennedy and Kim for the excellent service. They answered any questions and offered location for any amenity. It is a one of a kind experience and a great outing for a group. There was a max of 13 people and plenty of distance to be had if all were considerate which other guests were. Definitely would be interested in doing a private group in the future! Happy holidays to all the staff and I wish continued success.

Amazing! We had the deep tissue massage and then the water journey. Lovely sunny day made spending time in garden in sun extra special. Loved the outdoor sauna too! Highly recommend!

I have been to about 12 different spas/massage parlors and Jayne at Bodhi gave me hands down the best massage Ive ever gotten! Bodhi spa is luxurious in and of itself, but Jayne is what is going to make me go back. I could tell she was feeling my muscles and doing whatever my body needed in that moment rather than go through a routine massage. I got a little stuffy and she covered my eyes and sprayed some eucalyptus oil around my nose and massaged my sinuses

My first visit at the Newport Bodhi Spa was not my favorite, I ended up leaving a review here to talk about my experience but I must say management contacted me very quickly to make amends. She went above and beyond to make sure my needs were met and they righted any wrongs. I am excited to return to the Bodhi Spa for a much better experience and fully enjoy the services they have to offer. 10/10 for customer service.

One of our fave date nights 😍😍Quiet, relaxing and everyone who works there is always super friendly!Love the new outdoor sauna - we prefer to go during the day when able so it’s even quieter but it’s never packed bc they limit how many people can go in at once.

What a wonderful experience. From 30 to 60 years old, we all loved our journey. Very clean with a peaceful ambience. They also provide all items you will need for your visit, which makes it all the more enjoyable. I will definitely be returning for another water journey!

From beginning to end our group had a fantastic experience! We had a group of 6 for the water journey which is amazing. We loved that everyone could go at their own pace and do their own thing yet we were all still together. Everyone was extremely professional and helpful. We would definitely recommend the water journey and would love to come back for other services!

Zen/serene atmosphere with essential oil scents as soon as you walk in. Very nice decor, staff is friendly. Went in for a couples massage, unfortunately it was only 30 minutes long since they were fully booked, but our message therapists were wonderful Rob and Jayne. Would go again and would recommend! Note that parking is street parking and can be a challenge as there are parking restrictions where you need a permit to park on the street. Be sure to give yourself enough time to find parking! We were told the restrictions begin today after 6pm, so we were able to park on the street without difficulty.

A friend gave me a gift card to Bodhi and I spent the afternoon there on my birthday; I got a facial and enjoyed the water journey. It was a wonderful way to celebrate and my facial was perfection! The only reason I cannot give it five stars is because the water journey does get quite busy and some of the guests did not respect the quiet rule. It was a great experience overall.

The water journey is amazing! Absolutely worth the 60 dollars. And you get 2 and a half hours to enjoy the journey! The cold plunge pool was the hardest to do, as it is only 55 degrees. I could only walk in up to my ankles. But overall, Id say it was amazing, and I will definitely be returning!

I had a wonderful experience at the bodhi spa in Newport. We did the water journey, and Hannah was so professional and helpful during that experience. Then I had the signature massage with Jane. She is a highly skilled massage therapist and it was absolutely the best massage I have ever had.I was so impressed with the professionalism of the staff, all the amenities, and the overall vibe of the spa-which is gorgeous. I plan on coming back as soon as possible!!

Everyone should experience the water journey while theyre in town. Relaxing change of pace and a unique experience I havent seen anywhere else. I love bringing people here when they visit me! The Bodhi spa is extremely clean and the staff are always attentive.

This place is horrible. I saw the owners walk in one day. Two tasteless rich fake hippie sisters that walk around with sociopathic smiles glued to their faces. All the employees hate working there, think its a joke, and talk badly about the customers. They seem overworked and under paid. The spa decor is tacky and the water journey is over rated. Products are incredibly overpriced, but what do you expect from two trust fund babies with no talent trying to run a decent business. Save your money and go to a real spa, not this fake whitewashed greedy garbage.

Had an 80 minute deep tissue massage and it was perfect!!!! The spa is small and comfortable, with a quiet, peaceful environment. The locker room was spacious, clean, had showers and a swimsuit dryer too. The treatment room was a lovely dark sage green with low lighting and a few candles.

Came here last week for a Gentleman’s Facial done by Tricia and it was amazing! From the moment I walked in, I felt relaxed. The warm towel upon arrival, clean facilities and relaxing and rejuvenating facial was exactly what I needed. Tricia too was so friendly and did a wonderful job. Really took the time to explain everything. I’ll definitely be back and can’t wait to book again!

A friend had been talking about this place for about a year, and last fall when I felt out of sorts after gum surgery I gave it a try, and felt immediately wonderful! I bought a six month membership to and will be sad when it ends Mid-May.Every time I go for the water journey I feel like I am on vacation. Its good to call in advance or book online to make sure its not full, it is small. I usually go Sunday or Monday evening, and Wednesday or Thursday. But I dont mind if its a bit more crowded. Most people are very mindful.Its beautiful and clean, and a lot cheaper than a trip to Florida. Great after a stressful day. I think theyre planning on opening another, larger branch soon.I love the infrared​ sauna and the cold plunge the best, and the eucalyptus scented soaps. I also had a great massage with Bill. Cant praise this place enough. Six stars!

Its a gem of a place. Them boys will tenderize you and make you feel like a Kobe beef cake. I asked for medium rare and got that good good knuckle in my back. Feeling good.

We loved our water journey experience! It was our first time. The cold plunge was shocking at first but became somewhat addictive after a while! Bodhi Spa is a beautiful clean facility and we highly recommend it! Its a complete respite.....Just remember to whisper because we had a few annoying people near us having social hour.

I’ve been visiting the Bodhi Spa ever since it opened and it has become my “go to sanctuary” for a healthy, rejuvenating experience ever since. I especially appreciate the eucalyptus steam room as a tonic for the winter blues. The staff go to great lengths to make the entire experience seamless and pleasurable.

This was my first time visiting this spa. I had a massage and organic spa facial.Jane my massage therapist was beyond anything I couldve hoped for. She listened carefully to my issues prior to the treatment. She checked in with me throughout the treatment and she thoroughly explained what she was doing and why.I wish Id been able to use the sauna between treatments or the steam room. I understand that space is limited in the pools but the waiting between treatments was a little lackluster.Lily provided my first spa facial treatment. She explained my skin type and gave me practical suggestions for a potential at home routine.I will definitely come back to this spa.

Awesome spa and getaway in Newport. Highly recommend for girlfriends, lovers, etc. The hydrotherapy is such a unique experience. My wedding entourage brought me there before my big day and the staff was so kind. We were told to keep it down, so dont be too noisy. Helps keep the peaceful atmosphere!

I visited this place on a girls trip with 4 of my best friends. We did the water journey and were blown away. Never have I felt so rejuvenated and relaxed all the same time. The spa was so clean and well maintained. We truly enjoyed our experience so much that we have talked about going back to Newport just to do the water journey again. Highly recommend this place if you are visiting Newport!

This was greatly disappointingI love to travel and always enjoy a Spa day. I was excited to hear that this new spa in my own area had opened, I truly was hoping to find a piece of heaven to enjoy many times.My experience was terrible. The noise level was ridiculous, a group of young adults and a few couples all of whom were talking and laughing loudly, despite signs posted to be quiet and whisper only. One couple were laughing and dunking each other in the plunge pool, and even in the steam room people were having loud, opinionated conversations, which they didnt bother to subdue when I came into the room.The staff did nothing to enforce their Quiet policy. After giving up on the water journey, I thought maybe Id wait for my massage in the lounge area. But, it turns out that there is no such thing as a Peaceful Relaxation Room, it is just a few chairs in the corner of the same open area, with all the noise.When I decided to leave, I was told that they were going to enforce their policy of charging me for a cancelled appointment! So, they selectively enforce their policies, for their own benefit, not that of their customers.I have been to dozens of spas around the world, and never have experienced one where the guests were so loud and discourteous to others. Even the average hotel hot tub/sauna is more restful than this was.I suppose there are days and times when things are nicer, but I wont be coming back to see.

My fiance and I came here for a nice time an left loosing 900$ from my fiances purse we contacted the Newport police and after an investigation it was one of the employees . We were told that the owners were going to reach out and call us and have yet to do so its been almost two weeks sense the resolution we will not be coming back here

The water journey was so relaxing. Half way through our journey we were given a cold lavender towel that was the cherry on the cake. There need to be more experiences like this in the US to help rid your body of daily stressor’s.highly recommend to everyone.

The Water Journey is the seller of this place. I got a massage and water journey package. The massage was average but the water journey made it worth it. I enjoyed everything about the journey and the ability to just go throughout the area at my leisure. Only concern is how it must be cramped sometimes with the members that can go any time they want. I would recommend this place for people looking for a ‘different’ spa experience and relaxation.

My husband and I went for the “ water journey “ and it was ok. The plus side is the nice steam room and sauna, but the pools had way too much chlorine! My husband and I had watery stinging eyes every time we were in the pools, it was so much chlorine that all I could smell was chlorine for three hours after we left. I can honestly say that my husband and I have Never experienced that much chlorine Anywhere. We still had a nice time but will not be back, it is definitely overpriced for the experience (unless you do a spa treatment then it’s half off). We do a lot of traveling with spa treatments and hot springs all over the United States and this is the first time I have had this type of dissatisfaction. I was also very surprised because the pools are supposed to by salt pools, so why do they even use chlorine- most true salt pools would not have any chlorine added. Another offhand experience- is they sent us a survey asking about how we felt about the water journey and we told them how bad the chlorine was when we went, just being honest ( not wanting anything or ever planning on returning), and the manager wrote us back telling us that the chlorine levels were fine the night we went. Crazy right! We DEFINITELY would not lie or exaggerate about our experience, I have Never even had a public pool have that much chlorine. I would say if you do not want to know then Don’t Ask.

I felt like a new person after the Hydrotherapy water journey!! I was in a lot of pain suffering from stress tension in my back/shoulder muscles. After one hydrotherapy session I felt back to my normal self! I would 100% recommend this to anyone and it’s also just perfect if you want to relax. Thank you

I had a massage and did the water journey afterwards and it was a great experience! The staff were extremely nice and accommodating (even after i arrived a few minutes late). The space is clean, fairly small but comfortable to move around in, and very relaxing. All in all thank you for a relaxing day!

I totally love Bodhi, where the hydrotherapy has become my favorite place to both relax and help soothe my always aching muscles. It’s lovely both inside and outside in the Zen garden. To be able to spend 2.5 hours there for $60 is also a terrific deal for a spa. I highly recommend!

As a working parent during a time of so much uncertainty and forced change, I forgot about my own personal mental and physical health. If this sounds familiar, I urge you to check out The Bodhi Spa.Most importantly, the place is spotless/ beyond clean. They send helpful instructions and along with an intake form/ waiver with all the COVID safety measures they are taking and require from patrons. My Swedish Massage with Liza was maybe the best I’ve ever had (pressure was consistent and how I requested, she used techniques to alleviate tension not just relax me and you could feel that the products being used on your skin were top of the line). Lastly, Lizzy at the reception desk was welcoming and helpful. Everyone had on a mask and the staff did a great job of controlling distancing between guests at the spa.I did not take advantage of the water journey but plan to when I go back to Bodhi with my wife.I highly recommend The Bodhi Spa. It’s a luxury experience with a local vibe.

I had such a fabulous experience at this spa. From the staff greeting us at the entrance, to the meticulous attention to detail (hairdryer and spin swimsuit dryer in the Ladies’ change room!), to the carefully curated hydrotherapy experience, it was an exceptional visit.The facility is kept sparkling clean, and the staff regularly restock the complimentary water stations. They have two hot tubs and a cold pool, as well as infrared and traditional saunas, and an intense aromatherapy steam room. There’s a suggested hot/cold ‘circuit’ posted, but you’re free to experience in whatever way suits you best.As well, there’s a lovely little lawn and garden in the back for catching a few rays and getting some “plant therapy”. They also offer massage services if you need to work out some more tension.If you’re visiting Newport and have the time for it, I’d highly recommend booking an appointment. You won’t regret it!

Great staff, excellent service, amazing massage. The Water Journey is a unique and incredible experience. Some of the finer points (directing clients where to wait between services, additional linens in the changing rooms and some privacy walls, for example) could use some adjustments, I suspect they will over time.

Very different, first time doing the water adventure, but it was refreshing. For the water adventure and a half hour massage which was delightful was 100 per person. DO NOT FORGET your bathing suit if doing the water adventure they do sell them but they are 100 per bathing suit.

I really love this spa....but it is upsetting that they have both raised the price of the Water Journey while also decreasing the time alotted. If there were also improvements to the Water Journey, I could understand, but the Journey itself remains the same.

If you’re looking for something calming, water journey is not it. Too many people milling about, coming in/out. No privacy in women’s locker area, only 3 showers, very low light by the mirrors - couldn’t finish getting ready. Only one very positive thing- great male masseuse- worked out the knots in my mom’s neck. Not worth the trip from Providence unless you’re hanging out in Newport. Overpriced

This spa is my absolute favorite and I will remain a long time customer. The water journey makes you feel incredible. There are not many places (if any) near by that have an epsom salt and dead sea mineral jacuzzi. It is unique and powerful with many benefits to our bodies (versus a regular jacuzzi). There are two saunas and a large steam room. The size of the journey area is perfect, even when it was busy (New Years Day) I never found it difficult to move from one therapy to the next. The staff is polite and kind. They regularly go in the journey area to clean, restock, and check on guests. I think about going to other spas to explore, but I am hooked on the experience I receive here!!

Our 1st time there. It was clean, staff was attentive keeping things restocked and cleaned up. Safety stressed. A most relaxing atmosphere. The massage was perfect. I would like to see thicker towels. We will go back again & again. Zen garden ok.

My experience at the Bodhi Spa was wonderful. The staff was polite and explained all the rules very well. The locker rooms were clean, well stocked, and spacious. The shower area has privacy curtains, which is rare in men’s rooms. Kudos.The Water Journey is a very relaxing, zen experience. You alternate between hot tubs and saunas of different types. There is an Epsom salt hot tub, and a Dead Sea salt hot tub, each kept at the perfect temperature. There is an infrared sauna, a steam sauna, and a traditional dry sauna. In between areas, you dunk yourself into a 55 degree cold tub for 30 seconds to a minute. This tub resets your body temp, for the next area.The whole process is very soothing. The staff did a GREAT JOB of cleaning and stocking. The lemon water, regular water and cucumber water were always full and the cups were picked up and replaced with fresh cups, on a regular basis.Iced lavender towels were rolled and carefully placed by the hot tubs, for use as a refreshing face cloth, while relaxing. The face towels, just like everything, were meticulously checked and restocked. No problem finding dry towels here either.The spa provides you with a very comfortable robe, flip flops and 2 towels.I noticed that the staff would regularly come through with squeegees, to keep the floor of the water journey room clean and “dry”.There was no problem with slippery conditions.There is a sitting area, with quick dry cushions, for in between cycles. You can read a magazine or just put your feet up.Finally, there is an outdoor zen garden, for a breath of fresh air. Access to the garden is just outside a private door in the Water Journey room.Overall, I would say that The Bodhi Spa is a gem of a place in lil Rhody and is worth the trip to Newport.The spa is conveniently located near all Newport attractions.

I have had MANY MANY deep tissue massages and by far DAN blows them away. If u like deep/firm pressure instead of someone just rubbing lotion on you I highly recommend Dan.... This place is a piece of heaven after a lot of walking and touring beautiful Newport. The water experience is blissful. Loved the SPA and the facilities. The place was clean and well-maintained. However it was so crowded that we couldnt even use one of the saunas. You had to watch and time people in order to get in the pool or sauna :((( When we called to reserve the receptionist did say that mornings tend to be busier and suggested to come in after 2 pm. Anyway the place seemed packed and they still let new people in. There should not be more than 10 people at once!!!! Otherwise you cant relax and enjoy the water journey.

I always love going to Bodhi. In fact, I travel 80 minutes just to be there. Nothing works better on your muscles then the water therapy. Im an event planner and I make a point to go to Bodhi after every event to rejuvenate my body. I went today for 2 cycles through the water tourney after 2 weeks of not being able to really move my shoulder and I feel loose and relaxed now! Ive told all my friends and family about Bodhi and send out an open invitation every time I go.The staff there is always so helpful, respectful, and sweet! Ive had massages there and always feel respected and relaxed with them. I really just cant say enough great things about this place.

The staff was attentive and professional. The relaxation area was very small with 2 magazines and no spa like loungers to really relax, just a small couch area. It was very busy. The Massage was FANTASTIC. I would go back just for the massage, but keep in mind this is not really a big spa where u would spend the half the day on loungers and basket of fruit.

(btw: christina, if you are reading this... your reputation precedes you! you are super awesome and i’m so thankful for this unforgettable experience!)... guys, i was so excited, it felt like i was going to meet santa on christmas day. she is the ultimate professional, she knows her craft and is super attentive with her customers’ concerns. you won’t regret it!!covid fyi - with everything happening, my husband and i felt extremely safe and comfortable. before we started anything, the staff thoroughly explained their covid regulations. they enforced everyone to keep their face masks on and had staff periodically wipe down door handles, pool handrails, etc.

I went to Bodhi this past week and my boyfriend and I had a couples massage. It was his first time and he absolutely loved it. I also enjoyed my massage as well and Kenji did wonders for my back pain. My only complaint is the music selection they had. It was very distracting and I wish they had on something more calming and not so much singing. Sounded more like oriental music. Other than that we enjoyed our time at Bodhi and will definitely be back!

Ruby was very professional and accommodating at check in and check out - this is my absolute favorite go to place - the Water Journey is such a treat - infrared sauna - herbal steam room - Dead Sea and Epsom salt jacuzzi baths - cold plunge - do the circuit a few times and you feel 10 years younger! The deep tissue massage with Rob was a 10 out of 10.

I drove an hour and a half from the Boston area to do the anticipated water journey with my sister and two of our oldest, dearest friends. I travel to Los Angeles special to go to the Olympic Spa which is an authentic Korean spa and I was hoping to be able to get a tiny flavor of that at The Bodhi Spa. Everything was very nice...clearly a penny wasnt spared in the aesthetic build out of the spa, even the facade of the building is gorgeous. Upon check in they give you a robe, 2 towels and a pair of flip flops. Everything was absolutely lovely and high quality, especially the steam room. Comparing to the Korean spa, the hot pools could be hotter and the cold plunge a few degrees warmer but that is my personal opinion. My favorites were the Epsom Salt Pool, the Cold Plunge, the steam and the infrared. After 2 or so hours enjoying the water journey, we were ready to get some food and headed to the locker room to change. If you do go to The Bodhi Spa, please be ultra careful in the locker room, the tile floor is extremely slippery...hopefully theyll remedy that situation soon, otherwise a great experience!

Enjoyed both and sitting in the secluded garden with a snack. Arrived 10am and left at 3pm very mellow. I am sad to have to write this review as I have always loved Bohdi spa and all it has to offer on my many trips in. I had an appointment for the water journey two days ago. Upon arrival I was asked if I was prepared to show my vaccination card or wear my mask the entire time (in a WATER JOURNEY) . While the mask with this service alone is absolute blasphemy my MAIN issue is that this business has decided to require this and allow unvaccinated patrons do as they please despite the ongoing FACT that VACCINATED individuals ARE in fact catching and spreading COVID.I will not be returning to Bohdi spa in the future, Ill be taking my business to an establishment that is not biased by personal opinions rather than FACT when it comes their customers health and safety.

The only place around that ive found that has hot pools cold pools and sauna, which is great for my back muscle issues. I will be back soon to add a massage to the process! Its a brand new, clean, upscale facility, the only issue is parking as its downtown newport so park close to morton park and walk 5 min.2019 update: just had an amazing water journey, 60 min deep tissue with Jennifer, and more water journey after. One of the best days Ive had in a while!

Newport is AMAZING and a bit larger than the Providence one.... Providence location doesnt adhere to the quiet policy as much and has interrupted my experience the last two times I went.

The locker room floor was discussing and wet!The relaxation area was also wet. When one of the staff filled the cucumber water she dropped the top on the dirty floor filled the water and put the top back on the container without cleaning it.Not to happy!!

This is a great spa for couples. The spa has an amazing series of thermal pools, hot, warm and cold, steam rooms and dry saunas, rooms to relax and a patio to sun bathe. On of this the facilities have facials massages and other day spa treatment. Make sure to specific who you want to do the spa if you care about a male or female massager.

This spa was not what I thought It was smaller, Not as much parking out in the front The pictures are very misleading, I called them no call back I never gotta call back , This is where it got disturbing from me Im in the spa at industry, I walk in after driving an hour and a 1/2 To see what the spa looks like because I never gotta call back Very cold Uncomfortable feeling they didnt make me feel want( very cold ) I had to let them know never judge a book by its cover, I am a professional I have moneyIts sad that I had to let them know what my credentials was, I would never spend money with them, your Receptionist set the tone for the whole spa, she the face of the spa, she the first person you see you , Im a spa connoisseur there is no limit, I left there saying to myself Im glad I took the drive, big waste of time.....

This was a great place to try out for the first time and the massages were wonderful if I was to have one dislike, it would be of the constant chanting music and whining songs that kind of brought me down from this wonderful experience.
