Ducks Night Life

Do not go here. I seldom come out and say this directly. My wife and I thought to stop in and it seemed nice. The atmosphere was pleasant, outdoor seating, and an easy walk to the resort. Unfortunately, they appear to have hired a DJ who mistakenly believes that jumping from Rap to mangled country songs is a good idea. I do not want to discourage anyone from their dream, but wow, she is bad, that word is not strong enough. We are talking, the city may need to step in to protect the tourism market if she is allowed to continue. Neighboring shops should seek legal counsel. I wont be back on that street for the rest of our stay. Sad to say, we left before we could try anything.

Crazy crowded.. great venue for live music and dancing. DJs are great..

Been there for years…very different now. people on dance floor with drinks…floor was soaked. nobody collected empty bottles snd trash. DJ played music only geared for college kids. Not even close to the same experience we have had through the years. Staff did work hard.

Its ok there. Ive heard about this place for years and it really didnt seem that special. The Long Island Iced Tea was awful though. Went back a year later. Paid to see a band. I had some crackers in a napkin in my purse that I had to show them because the check purses. I had to throw out my water before entering also. We sat by the dance floor but they later seated high chairs in front of us ON the dance floor. We couldnt see a thing. Hubby went out for a smoke and couldnt get back in unless he waited in a long line to enter...even after showing his wrist band we paid $10 a piece for. The door man was really rude.The band was late so we never saw them. Im never going back again.

As a local I have always loved Ducks. Lots of history. Have made many great friends. But lately the vibe seems to be changing. Many people have said the new owner doesnt care for the locals that support the place 12 months out of the year. Hope it doesnt lose its loyal following of locals and the traditions that made it the go-to place for many years.

This place is so cool and has so much history. You need to stop in whenever you are in Myrtle Beach. They have lessons for everyone. Another great SOS 2023.

The band was awesome. Best place in all Myrtle Beach Area to go late night. Strong drinks, fast service.

We ended up in Ducks because Sky Bar are discriminating ppl from LONGS and Ducks actually let the locals party. We had a great time, with the dj on the second room to the side.

Michelle, Shane, Jeff and Rich are great people. A place I feel safe to go to hear live music and have a few drinks. Its not a huge place, but the dance floor is adequate. You can sit out front and enjoy your drink. Friendly atmosphere. Within walking distance to several hotels.

Super lively on a Sat night in June. Mostly younger crowd but also had alot of older folk as well. Played mostly country and hip hop/top 40.

Its a good 30s and up bar good drinks great price. Im hammerd spent 20 bucks. Chairs to sit and people watch.. Good views

Definitely an interesting place. We went in through the night club and it didnt seem like they had food at first, but through a door and there was food! It was a cool little joint that you can eat at, grab a drink and then head back through the door and you can go dancing. I would go again if the music was more my taste.

Been coming here for 14 15 years. Been buying food here for that long. Now the menus cut down so much theres nothing but fried and stuff and not much of that.. not everybody eats fried food. Thats going to hurt the wait staff. But I guess the new owners dont really care. Went down to international cafe for a lovely dinner and then back up to ducks to listen to Jeff

Greal place..one side is the bar/restaurant and the other side has great bands at 9pm.Must visit when in town.They usually have a someone singing right out front in the evenings.

Great atmosphere and music! Bartenders were very nice and provided good service. This is an awesome place to go if you’re looking to have a fun night in North Myrtle Beach. They have live music and dancing.

I have been to Ducks many many times over the years but I just made my last trip there. Rude and aggressive does not even cover the treatment we received. Even a couple of locals came over to ask what in the world was going on. Definitely will never recommend this place again to my many friends and family that vacation here. Such a shame because it is a great venue that I enjoyed so many happy times at. Management - you need to reign in your aggressive staff. Response to management: Ill post what details I deem important on my review. Some of your staff is horrible as well as the talent you had on stage, but I will take that up with them separately

You have not experienced North Myrtle if you have not been to Ducks late night.

Rude waitress wont come outside to take orders or get refills been waiting 35 min. No show the place is awesome but if you want to drink go inside buy buckets to take out.

This was my first visit to Duck’s. The place was impressive. It was spacious, clean. The staff was very friendly. The DJ was outgoing and great between sets as Chocolate Chip was playing- they were phenomenal as always. Food was tasty, done quick. Bartenders were phenomenal - they were so busy but kept up with the crowd and didn’t disappoint with the drinks! Overall, great place, staff, entertainment, food!! I highly recommend Duck’s Night Life

Came to Ducks while vacationing in North Myrtle Beach. The TAMs were playing. The owner was very friendly and was carrying on conversation with many while waiting in line. He was genuine. Once inside my wife and I were able to get great seats next to the dance floor. This was our first time here and we would definitely recommend this establishment for a safe and great time.Good job by the entire staff.

I would give this negative stars if I could. My family has been to Ducks many times over the years but I just made my last trip there. The staff was RUDE and had the audacity to be mean to my (very sweet mother) and I. We had a couple of woman who appeared to be locals consoling us and trying to figure out what happened - that’s when you know you have terrible management & hired awful talent. The amount of money and customers we have brought to this establishment over the years and to be treated that way - we will NEVER return. I will ensure anyone of our many many friends/family know the awful story of our night. A note to management: when you have a woman who’s obviously dancing with her adult children and spending a lot of money on drinks & having a great time - maybe tell your “talent” to not be a jerk. What an absolute joke of a place to hangout.

The Band was the best thing about this place. People bumping into ya and the dance floor makes it a little too crowded to fully enjoy on a weekend.

Want to have a fun time in Myrtle Beach, youve got to give this place a visit. Fun atmosphere, good seating inside as well as outside. Friendly bar service. You can even get a bite to eat if youre hungry. Easy to find plenty of free parking near by. Beach within walking distance. So if youre looking for some good clean fun. CHECK THEM OUT!

This place is awesome. Although we are in the area a few times a year, they treat us like were old friends. They have excellent sidewalk music, especially Ricky T. They food is great and reasonably prices. JUST GO!

I was there last weekend and will never return Along with many friends, I went to sit in a area that was completely empty to be rudely approached by a security employee and I quote SOMEONE IS SITTING THERE I looked and said ok but all seats are empty nor was there any drinks in front of the empty chairs . I left the area only for this security to approach the party I was with and again rudely say my girlfriend is sitting there had no respect for anyone of us my husband then asked him to relax and we left he then threaten to have him arrested, on what grounds Im still unsure I think he should have been spoken to by his superior and maybe some remedial training and told how to address someone nicely .

Mostly country bands lately. Alot of heavy drinking by the young patrons on weekends.ITS DEFINATELY NOT WHAT IT USED TO BE BY THE PREVIOUS OWNERS..

Had some good bands on the night I went. I’m not too big on dance clubs but there were plenty of places to hangout and watch the bands instead of feeling like you had to dance. I’m sure I will be back.

Love this place. Great atmosphere, awesome staff. Always a great time with my friends. Great music, live entertainment, great food with daily specials. Happy hour daily 4 to 8 with beer and drink specials

I’m not much of a drinking guy, but I sure am an eating guy. I consider myself a chicken wing connoisseur. The wings are EXCELLENT as was all the food in our party.

Great place to hang out and listen to local bands. Prices are good too

This place is just wierd to me. During the day theres a bunch of drunk people out front just people watching. At night it turns into couples and bikers. Went inside to get food and promptly walked out. Just smelled like a bar bathroom to me. There was no indication that they served anything but booze.

Laidback place for live music and drinks. Dj between sets is a nice touch. fast service and fair prices. Good air conditioning.

A really fun place to go when in Myrtle Beach, lets hope it stays just as it is... sadly over the years Ive seen great places like change what they do best and become something other than a fun place for all

The waitress tonight told be i didnt belong there. I was with a girlfriend. Ive had problem with this waitress before. I wasnt there 5 min. I ordered us 2 beers. I will never be back at ducks again i was there to say hello to dk rich

Ducks is a great shag club. They have bands during non-shag times...the cafe has good food too. Friday flounder lunch is great and a good value.

Best dance club in Myrtle Beach. a MUST DO. Awesome food and music. 10/10 recommend

We love ducks but night waitress is much better than lunch. At least today.waitress kept letting everyone know she was the manager. She was very rude to people on who were calling to ask questions about ducks

Had the worst service I’ve ever experienced. Our waitress was blatantly rude and did not check on us. We also had to wait twice for them to fix our food, due to a food allergy. Will never go back there again.

Great Place to Dance or Hear a Good Local or National Band, the Food is Good and the Beer is Cold... and the People are Fantastic!! A real taste of the Carolinas.

This is a great place for a food and dancing.

Very crowded and popular among locals. There was constantly a line to get in that didnt seem to move. More of an older crowd, but very lively and entertaining.

Friendly staff and Management, GREAT food, lots of new friends like family, best in live entertainment, every night when open, and djs play a variety of music....beach to top 40 dance.

The burger was meh. The fresh cut fries lost their potential when they werent cooked thru.But the wait staff - spot on!

If I could give a negative star I would we waited over 35 minutes and still never got our drinks like the rest of our table. I stopped another waitress and asked about drinks she was rude and said dont holler at me. Im not your waitress and if you dont like it leave. So we left.

The bouncers are very rude. I had to go to the restroom and they didn’t let me. Not a nice place to chill
