Here is my experience - got a gift card credit from a friend, got there - they made a mistake booking my session, so I had to return another day (customer service awful). Second attempt - Gina who did the massage was great, but after that turns out I owe $68 for a free gift massage as they told me when I booked it. Wow. Just $68 more. No apologies, how I was supposed to know the adds on are $68 if they said everything is included? Zero stars. If you want to pay and get stressed, you know where to go for a massage!Update - I got a call from the office today, and the woman was persuading me that I misunderstood, I did not know. I have hard time imagining that all those people you spoke to did not explain the price to you. Exactly my point. Mind blowing.., just the same lack of customer care skills like I reported before. People like this should not be in a customer care interface in any business respecting itself. Stay away, find a good family run massage place to get the experience you want and pay for (mine is a lovely Feitheog massage in West Roxbury)!
LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATIONThis location is beyond disappointing with the noise that seen to not bother the management team.Please dont get me wrong, the service both a facial and massage were perfect, but to not be able to relax during it was upsetting.The facial room was next to the front door which seemed to open every three minutes and across from the breakroom, you would think that the workers would respect the back room, they didnt.I called the management team soon after my facial and explained my disappointment and said I was willing to pay for half my service as I said this was no fault of the esthetician.It took a few days for me to finally track down the manager was she works at other locations,She informed me that because I received the membership price although I was not a member, that she wouldnt assist me, I informed her, I was not sure why I received the membership price but had still paid. we went back and forth, even up until I ask for the owner to get in touch with me, she said that was not possible and would not give it to me.She said that the location was under contrition and they had no control over the noise, I told her that still didnt explain the door opening and slamming and the breakroom being noisy.I told her that I should have been told about the construction and the noise before my appointment and that I would have make the choice not to keep the appointment.It come down to I was given a credit for another service which I asked for a room in the back if not away from the breakroom.My new appointment was a message and yes, the service was perfect but the room was still disappointing.I will NOT be back at this location
Went there with my boyfriend and got the 60 minute massage. 11/10. The staff is super patient and friendly, and the massage therapists really listen and know what theyre doing. Definitely will be returning many more times. Book with Anthony if you can!
I booked a massage with Tracey because she came highly recommended and boy were they right! I was having shoulder issues and she really knows her anatomy. In addition to a wonderful massage that left me feeling invigorated, she explained to me how I could further reduce my pain. Best of all is that she listened to my complaints about my pain and used that information to give me an amazing massage. I will definitely return to her.
I’ve been going to this ME location for about 4 years. I have had 5 star experience over the years, however the customer service has gone down recently. Mark is the only reason I’m still a member here. He is the one bright spot. The problem is, even though I’m a long time customer, they have been cancelling my appointments left and right. Appointments I have booked WAY in advance. But when I try to reschedule the appointments THEY cancel, they are booked and I have to wait ANOTHER 2-3 months to get in again. This has happened to me at least 5-6 times and I had not been able to get a massage in 4 months even though I had appointments booked in June, July, August, and September. Every single one was cancelled. And then my rescheduled September one was cancelled. The front end doesn’t seem to care about making this right.This is not cool. If you are looking to join Massage Envy, go to the Brookline or Cambridge locations instead. They always have appointments available, and I have not been disappointed with the therapists there. I got a 60 min appointment in Cambridge this week on a day’s notice and the massage therapist (Carlos) was absolutely wonderful. I have gotten a 90 min Saturday appointment in Brookline on 2 days notice and Natasha there was also awesome.Hey Mark ever think of changing locations? :)At least I’m saving up credits from all my cancelled appointments. So there’s that.
For years my massage therapist has been Tracey Franklin at the Dedham Massage Envy. She provides an excellent massage in a relaxing, enjoyable environment. She is a great conversationalist if you enjoy socializing while getting your massage. She does her best to make you comfortable and provide the type of massage you like. I highly recommend her. Disappointed in my experience here for my first time at massage envy Dedham. I called and went over the rates before booking my appointment and was told it would be $75 for my very first time at massage envy as the introductory rate. They however told me false information because I ended up paying $105 when I expected a different price. I also requested hot stone and did not receive that service. Whoever was on the phone booking appointments gave false information and nobody went over plan information like they should have. Im so disappointed and had the most stressful experience!!!!
I honestly love the Dedham location. I have been a member for about 4 years and its the best thing I have done for myself. I got about 3 times per month. My esthetician is Bertha she is INCREDIBLE ! She has taught me so much about my skin and how to care for it. My skin is the healthiest it has ever been. She is very professional, warm and welcoming and very skilled at what she does.My massage therapists are Carolyn and Mark. Both are FANTASTIC ! They too are professional, welcoming and very skilled both in their own individual ways. Each therapist delivers a custome massage based on your wants and needs. They are great about pressure, they check in with you regarding the pressure and are happy to adjust it to meet your needs.The front desk staff are absolutely lovely. They are friendly, professional and always in good spirits. I am always greeted by name, I feel like a valued member! Alicia is wonderful and always so helpful with whatever questions I have !The environment is welcoming and clean, also very relaxing. I am a very satisfied member and will continue to be! I highly recommend this location to anyone !
I have been coming to this ME for several years. My massage therapist, Daymond, is AMAZING! The customer service at the front lacks a lot. Why book 8am massages and either not have the door open or not have warm neck wraps ready to go? Do you expect people to roll in at 7:59? This definitely detracts from the experience.
I had the best experience with Gina at this location! Front staff are very nice as well. It is a 50 min massage with 10min of consulting. I got taken in right on time. I definitely recommend this place. Thank you for my first massage!
Leaving my membership for good.I have been going to massage envy for 10 years. In September, when I asked to put my membership on hold (to save my extra hours that I had paid for) because I was having a baby, another location had me fill out the forms and they said they would fax them over. They lost the paperwork I filled out, and refused to reimburse me the extra money that I spent over the course of three months.When I spoke with the manager, she directed me to call the other location and would not honor my request to be reimbursed. Both locations, my phone experience was NOT pleasant. Really bummed they couldn’t show any compassion for something that clearly wasn’t the customer’s fault.
Awful customer service cant even get an appointment. Been trying for the last 6 months to get an appointment in newton facility and they are constantly booked. Totally unacceptable and the receptionist doesnt even know who the manager is. She gave me the wrong name. Today we tried to get an appointment they are booked out till March. Really? Unacceptable and not ok. I was nice giving a 1.
Massage envy in Dedham is an amazing clinic. There massage therapists are all very informative and very very friendly! Right when I walked in the door I received a hello and a nice warm neck wrap it was a great start to my massage! The staff is extremely friendly. This clinic is very clean and it was an amazing experience. I HAVE NEVER been disappointed by anyone at this place!!!!I HIGHLY RECCOMENED COMING HERE!!!!
I got a chatty massage therapist, but I didnt mind. Felt so much better when I left.They thoroughly explain costs. I liked the low-lit room you wait in. Prepares you for the relaxing massage. Music is like Comcast Soundscapes. Parking right outside or near Bed, Bath and Beyond. I got five bucks off my monthly fee because I am a return customer from eons ago. I can opt for a facial in lieu of a massage. Monthly sign up, but dont mind. It will make me go and take care of myself. Spa-like bathroom.
These chains/franchises are terrible. I’ve decided to go back to private practitioners. The quiet area is often noisy with people chatting back and forth or on their phones. Staff don’t enforce having clients who can’t be quiet in the quiet area sit in the front desk area. Therapists yell out names of clients. Not a peaceful environment.

Be on time (or early) so you dont feel rushed. Take advantage of every moment in this peaceful place. You are offered a warm neck pillow upon arrival. Then, you go to a dimly lit waiting area where soft music is playing and people talk in whispers. All the rooms are heated and the massage table is heated as well. The coverings are modest and very respectful.
The front desk staff is friendly and accommodating. The massages are great. There are two other Massage Envy closer to where I live, but I prefer visiting the one in Dedham. Easy parking, and the people are nice.
I disagree with the poor reviews, ive been going here for a few years, they do get a little upselly at times, but thats the nature of a business, but as far as quality of the massage and professionalism ive been satisfied with every therapist, my only recommendation to people is tell the therapist exactly what you want from the massage! My last therapist joann was extremely personable and gave me the best massage experience ive ever had. Will continue to give them my business.
Hv been a member since Dedham opened (2007?) - Tracey is just the best!! She just knows her stuff - for example she really addresses my main issue - hip pain!! I attribute my continuing good health to her massages (twice a month). Dedham M E is tops in my book 🤩

Im really not the facial type of girl, but I was gifted an appointment for my birthday, and after putting it off for a while, finally went. I wasnt sure what to expect, but Barbara was wonderful at explaining everything and putting me at ease. She was extremely knowledgeable and easily answered all of my questions. In spite of my uncertainty, the entire experience was relaxing and refreshing, andi came away with glowy skin that had not been present previously. I now understand why people do this, and the next time I want the do something nice for myself (or someone else) this will be it!

The membership price is regular price everywhere else. If you want a real massage with actual professionals, go to a local privately own spa.I am reporting this place to the Better Business Bureau. NO wonder Massage Envy has a gazillion lawsuits against them! I hope there is federal regulation to eventually shut them down!
Very disappointing. I and I had an appointment booked with AJ. I called 20 minutes in advance to confirm my appointment and it was confirmed on the phone with hope. As I am walking in I get a phone call that my appointment had been cancelled because she “read the computer wrong”. Waste of time and not coming back here again.
This is by far the worst ME Ive been to (and Ive been to them all over the country). The staff barely notice you (I was out the door before they literally yelled out bye!), the facilities look like they were under construction that stopped abruptly during the painting phase, and every therapist Ive had there has been TERRIBLE. They either lack formal training in basic kinesiology or have no experience or both.The final straw was the massage this week. I asked for deep tissue as I have spinal problems. What I got was basically 4 different types of Swedish massage techniques over and over for an hour. Including rubbing to generate heat on areas that were ALREADY INFLAMED. I awoke this morning barely able to move.I cant communicate strongly enough how much you need to AVOID THIS PLACE.
I schedule an appointment for my wife in this place on Dedham website (schedule an appointment) and people called me to confirm but they didnt mention where is the location, i just thought that it is Dedham as I scheduled on their website. However, today, my wife was visiting the Dedham place, and they told us that it is not from them, we are on the wrong location, and finally figured out that it is on different place (Walpole). I was so disappointed for their system and the misled appointment. Now we have to miss the other location and pay for them. the system is very bad. When you schedule on their website and misled you to the other place, and even when you got the confirmation, they just called without telling you the address.
Good place for a massage. Customer service is improving. Not happy with the policy on wanting to share a massage with a family member. If I wanted to share two with different family members, I should be able to. Disappointed!
Why take an appt at 9 and open at 9. your system is up and running. And your warm neck wrap not ready for customers. Some folks should not run a business with human clients.
Ive had great experience with Dedhams Massage Envy, Ive been a member since they opened. For the price and availability I would say this is an excellent deal and option for monthly massages.

I was not impressed by the massuse nor the massage I went in for deep tissue but was told I shouldnt get it in a way that made me change my decision, to only be disappointed with the alternative they suggested

The dedham location on route 1 Im not very happy with them at all and why I say that is because told them not to take money from my Bank account because I didnt have the job I had when I joined and they did anyways I asked the MGR of the location why they did it and if I could get the money back and she said NO she could not i then asked the MGR if she could just take the 11 free massages i still have and she again said NO then the MGR said to me i couldnt even use the 11 free massages i all ready payed for in till get the $110.00 for the last 2 payment even though I told them I didnt have the $ money to give then thats not wright to do
