Really disappointing and frankly shocking experience here. Came in to get old gel polish soaked off and get a regular manicure. The manicurist Sue pulled out her phone in the middle of the manicure to type into Google Translate “your hands are very worn out,” which was…beyond rude and kind of a ridiculous thing to say to a paying customer??? I think she meant to say my nails are weak, which they are, but regardless, a totally unnecessary comment. Then I went to dry my nails and was only sitting there 10 minutes (yes, I checked - 4:14 to 4:24) when Sue came over and put nail oil on my nails, essentially telling me I was done. I scuffed a nail almost as soon as I walked out, because they were obviously not fully dry. Now most of them are scuffed, 15 minutes since I walked out of the salon. Finally, when I was going to pay and asked if I could put tip on my card, the owner asked how much, I said $5 (the total was $24, so about a 20% tip), and she actually said “That’s it?” Genuinely wild experience start to finish. Would not recommend.
The nails are very overpriced and not worth it at all. she and the salon is very nice but again the price is insane. maybe if my nails were flawless it would be justifiable, but the shape is off, they are different lengths, and the polish application is clunky.the nails are ok but definitely not worth $70. (why would a short refill ever be $70??)
I was happy with my service when I got there but I got a refill and a nail repair and I was charged $65 and when I went to give the lady a tip she told me I was already charged 20% for a tip already. I didn’t even know. Now I just got my nails done on Friday and Tuesday the nail that she repaired for me fell off again and my nail polish is already chipping. I don’t think I will ever go back there again. The ladies were nice though.
I love coming to Cosmos nail salon because every staff here treats you with the utmost respect and admiration. Each time I come here, Joyce takes the time to ask about me and she pays so much attention to the smallest details while doing my nails. Jessica and Temi also do an amazing job and I am grateful for them. My nails still look so beautiful and neat even after many weeks. Additionally, the professionalism these ladies have, really shines through with the add-on services such as hot towels, complementary back/shoulder massages, foot massages and hot coal treatments. In summary, I love coming here because it feels like a little slice of luxury within my busy life!
The own Joyce is such a wonderful human being. She really cares about her business and providing good work and service. She was so kind to me during a very difficult time and made my nails look so beautiful. Ive also been to Jennifer and she did a wonderful job. I highly recommend going here 10 out 10 stars.
Always happy with my experience at Cosmos. Went here for a few years when I lived in the area. Back in town and had to stop in to remove some grown out gel and get a new manicure. Very pleased with the take off service, and new manicure was just as good as I remembered. Specifically asked for my nails to be cut as short as I could go so they would align with one that I had broken. Place is also very clean, they wiped down the stations between people and had clear barriers between myself and the nail tech. Masks were also worn and required. They have a great selection of colors, almost all matched with a gel counterpart. I also changed my color last minute and they were more than accommodating. I also have about the back massages and hand massages after they are finished. I leave so relaxed every time, Im considering going back for an actual massage next time in in town. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a Mani or Pedi (have gotten plenty of pedis here before also). A gel take off and Mani today took just under an hour.
My wife had an amazing experience at Cosmos — the staff were incredibly skilled and welcoming. Its a clean, professional salon that offers exceptional value for their top-notch services
This is the best nail salon I have ever been to. They took me as a walk in, manicure and pedicure at the same time to get me in and out. Best massage, very attentive. I felt like I was at a spa. I will be back. Thank you for making my day!
Fantastic service! It was my daughters bday and we were treated like queens! Thank you ! ❤️
Amazing place. Friendly atmosphere. Friendly staff and even got a mini massage after getting my nails done. Totally recommend getting your nails done here. Joyce and her staff were amazing. Will be going again.
Service: the lady doing my manicure was friendly, fast. But when it came to paying… she asked me if I wanted a massage, I friendly declined. For french manicure I should pay 45 USD. I wanted to give her 5 USD tip, which is more than 10%. I believe this is totally fine, as it is up to the customer to decide whether to tip or not and how much. She told me a “no” to 5 USD, but said I have to tip her 20%. I gave her 10 USD, after a while she asked if I wanted one dollar change back.As being new to the US, I didn’t want to make a big deal out of it in front of other customers. Afterwards when consulting with friends, I was told, that this behaviour was definitely not ok.
Im so happy when i came to this salon all stuff very welcome … they try to pampered me with warm towel .. u got free back massge after u done meni / pedi ,they pay attention not do rush like another salon … the price reasonable .. the place nice & clean ..thank u for make my nail look pretty
I am being very serious about this. Please do not come to this nail salon. They took off old gel and the price was $5.. the next thing i knew she was rubbing lotion on my hands and the price went to$24.I asked why she said because she did a manicure. I didnt even ask for color. Allegedly a manicure cost that much. So i said since i just gave $24 for lotion i may as well get a color. These people are so terrible. I had to tell them to use new CLEAN tools on me. She then proceeded to do my nails so ugly. I had her take off the polish and reapply like 3 times. I sat under the dryer for atleast 3O MINUTES. and they still were not dry because she put too much polish on. I had her remove them. The next day i went back they offered to do a free color. i am noticing so many bubbles, polish not aligned at my cuticles etc its just so bad im defintely going back today to get my money back. Please save your money. They are so dirty, the tools are only cleaned if you tell them to clean them, they do not do clean professional manicures
I entered without an appointment. I wanted a pedicure and manicure. Annie introduced me to luxury massage techniques and foot reflexology. I could have blissfully slept through my spa experience, but Annie was a terrific wake-up artist and kept me alert. My feet feel happier and my hands think I’m young again. I had such a wonderful experience here:) Everyone here is so sweet and the service was great. They also do a quick shoulder massage while your nails are drying. I think this is the salon I will go to from now on. The prices are reasonable and I got dip powder nails for the first time and they turned out great.
I don’t write reviews but I do want to share my experience here. I got a pedicure and gel manicure. My pedicure was good. My fingers were bleeding in four different spots when I got my manicure. I asked for the same color on my toes and feet. When she started putting the color on my fingernails I asked if it was the same it looked different, she told me it was just the first coat it will look better on the second coat. That wasn’t the case so I asked her if it was actually the same color. It’s the same name on a gel polish vs regular polish but it’s not the same color because gel has more color pigment. I wish I would have known that or she would have at least made that clear after the first coat on one nail. While she was taking the color off, she used the buffer and kept hitting the skin around my cuticles so it was so raw it burned when they put the base coat on, on top of already being cut in multiple places. Ultimately I was there for 3 hours. I could tell she was expecting me to say I wasn’t going to pay for the manicure because it was so bad. Obviously I did but she did try to charge me the wrong amount I had to correct her by saying what was on the board behind her- genuinely a really shady/ bad experience.
I never write reviews unless I had an amazing experience or if I had an absolutely terrible experience. I wanted to treat myself and my best friend to an evening of manicures. I ended up getting my manicure first. The lady who ended up doing my nails was nice at first, but became more aggressive. When we got down to the cuticles, she became rough, by the end of the getting them done, they were bleeding. I was super confused, because this had never happened before. I questioned the bleeding and she was adamant about receiving her $19 before the coating (which I wasnt going to get, because my cuticles are literally bleeding. I asked another manicurist if bleeding is normal and she looks and says something about it, but no one cares enough that that had occurred. I paid my $19 to my aggressive manicurist and still tipped her cause i know we are working to survive, but it happening and how it was handled was poor. I couldnt even treat my friend to a manicure... because I wouldnt allow him to have as much as a bad experience that I had. Sidenote: Its 3 days later and it hurts were she bruised my cuticles.
Half my nails popped off in a week. and when i came back to get them done (for free as said over the phone) joyce didn’t tell me the price until the end. and took my last $2 in cash i had for bus money. kept complaining “this isn’t free” when who did my nails did them like they were free. overpriced. terrible service. won’t be coming back
Worst possible set of acrylics I have ever had. I was charged 85$ for short, plain and extremely thick nails. Nail tech globbed a bunch of acrylic base on and worked to shape it for almost 2 hours with no luck. I have never had to sit in a chair for close to 3 hours for such a bad set. Don’t go here.
Great service! My nails always last and the staff does such a great job. I get powder gel here and they really take their time and its always a great experience!
Im not one to ever leave any reviews but this place deserves it. Everyone is so nice and the owner is extremely welcoming and friendly.
Upon my arrival I was immediately greeted by Joyce who was welcoming and very friendly. After getting my temperature read and washing my hands, I got ready for my spa Pedicure. Jennifer was excellent, yes I said it. She gave the best foot massage. I decided to try something new with Joyces suggestion and got the dip powder on my finger nails. Love it, I even opted for some last minute nail art and stones. I definitely recommend you add the 10 minute and up massage. They were friendly, welcomingandattentive. It honestly didnt feel like i was there for three hours.
WORST gel manicure ever and I get one every 3 weeks. I went there yesterday as a walk-in for the first time. The worst part is that it has been 24 hours since my gel manicure and my polish has ALREADY peeled off 3 of my nails!! I would absolutely ask for a refund but I was only in town for business. The young woman who did my gel manicure also didnt realize that the UV light didnt hit a quarter of my thumb nails until the very end and then had to redo. Absolute worst gel manicure Ive ever had, and Ive had hundreds. Now Ill have to spend another $35-40 to fix my nails tomorrow and it has only been 1 day!!
Went to cosmos to get a nail fixed, and Joyce was wonderful! She was able to match the colors perfectly, and didn’t charge me for the fix. Great service!
I went here in May to get my nails done. I got the gel manicure and it only lasted me three days before it began to peel off. I went back and asked them to fix it and it was just difficult as I had to wait for a long time for the manager to come etc. Then I got the second gel (for free with tip required)which did not last either as it was peeling off. I thought it was probably me, but I went to a new place and got a gel manicure and its been a week and still hasnt come off!! So I would not recommend their gel manicures.
Came in for a mani pedi, left feeling like I should’ve attempted to do it at home. The spa pedicure feels amazing but not for $38 (if that’s even the real price). I was told 2 different prices, and after hearing there was a $39 special from the Spanish ladies I opted for a mani-pedi and was charged regular price for both services($49). The owner did my nails and told me that it was basically a waste of time because my nails were in bad shape. Asked me to to pay before polish but some places do that so whatever. Then ASKED for a tip for herself and the person who did my pedi. I paid with a card & she legit asked for cash+ she asked how far away my car was parked🥴just a little messy for a center city salon. The establishment itself is very spotless though.
I was taken aback that there was an additional 5 charge to remove old gel polish. Total came to 76. Gave nail trch 85and she grumbled about a 9 dollar tip. Granted not my best tip but was upsold the entire tune, they didnt have the first two colors I asked for . I wont be returning.
I’ve been here a total of 3 times. My first time there I had a young girl and had an amazing experience with her! The woman I had the last 2 times was the same and had pretty much the same experienceShe asked if I wanted my nails shorter and I said no to which she mentioned they don’t look good long, they’d look good short, I said no thanks. I asked for a coffin shape to which she said they would look better round and I said no thanks to which she then started filing them round. had to ask her to please do a coffin shape. When it came to my nail color choice…suprise, she said it wouldn’t look good I should try another color or French manicure.I also had gel which she shaved off the first time. I don’t really like shaving as my nails are thin and it hurts during and after my nails are done. The first time I thought whatever. The second time I asked her to soak them as again, my nails are thin and it hurts. She made it very clear that annoyed her and said it takes longer. I had the extra 5 mins it takes to soak to spare, so I asked to please soak. She soaked them for about a minute before taking the tin foil off and shaving them down again and it hurt! I truly have never wanted to walk out more. The annoyance on her face and I’m sure mine was very present in the last two experiences . It was more so the fact that both times she was telling me what she thought was better and ignoring what I had asked for and shaved my nails so thin.Suprise suprise my nails broke during the next few days and I went to another salon to get them redone
About 2 weeks ago got a plain pedicure, no polish or other extras, I am a guy. I have ingrown toenails and just started getting them to help with the nails. It’s bad enough it was $49, my fault for not asking first, but within a week, the nails are way too long and most have the ingrown curve already. Usually I can go 2-3 months before even thinking about having to trim them, much less get them done by someone.I travel up and down the east coast a lot and will not visit this place again. Completely disappointed and ripped off.
Great place! Super kind and friendly! Wife and I enjoyed ourselves!
My six year old daughter and I got manicures and pedicures. The bill was $98 before tip. Our usual nail salon (on South Street) charges $64 for the same services, and our neighborhood salon also gives complimentary massages. Cosmos charged me an additional $10 to use the week-long polish. My usual salon charges me an extra $2. And, Cosmos does not post prices for its services, so you just get shocked at the end. In short, Cosmos is not a good value.
I headed in at 7:30 (30 minutes before close) and they were able to take me for a mani/pedi. The service was good and my nails turned out really well. Unfortunately I found out when I got home that my toenails werent completely dry. I headed in the next day and not only did they fix the two nails that were smudged, but the tech repainted both feet. I was really glad that I didnt have to put up a fight to get my polish fixed. I will definitely be returning.
Cosmos Nails is a teeny bit more expensive than other places, but its completely worth it. Each manicure comes with a hand/arm and neck/back massage. Pedicures come with a wonderful hot stone massage. Also, the ladies at Cosmos are very detail-oriented and work hard to ensure youve had a great experience. If you are planning a trip to Cosmos Nails, plan to bring cash for a tip- they dont do tips on cards and you cant use a card in any transaction that is less than $20.
I went for a pedicure and I couldnt have been happier with the service I received. $33 for a regular pedicure which includes a leg/foot massage (includes a hot stone). Cosmos is clean and all the ladies there are very nice. I dont think Ill go anywhere else!
I have never been so unimpressed. Pricey and what for? I have never had a pedicure chip so quickly eveerrrr. Also, it doesnt look like they properly clean and/or sterilize beyond spritzing equipment with what I hope was alcohol... Gross!
I went here with my friend for mani/pedis. They werent very good. My nails are jagged and the woman was in a hurry because her boss told her another client was on her way in. When we went to pay they said $60 each and I almost choked on my non-glass of wine. Im used to paying $30-$40, and Ill pay more for French, unique designs or special coatings. Theres usually wine, they take their time and I walk out with a great set of nails.
I was very disappointed with my service. I got a full set with regular nail polish. Not only did they take 2 and a half hours to do the nails. They pushed back my cuticles without cuticle oil, didnt apply a base coat before the nail polish and didnt cap the nails with polish. They are very expensive for unimpressive services.
Ive finally found a nail salon that does pedicures as it used to be done about a decade ago! Im talking about the pedicure experience that does not feel rushed...foot massage & a brief back massage included - as part of the BASIC pedicure! With this place, you dont have to wonder if the pedicure was worth the price paid, because it is.
Cosmos is great! Good price, great service, friendly technicians. Highly recommend!
Not impressed at all. Wanted acrylics with gel overlay. They just painted my nails with gel polish. I wanted MATT nails and was told they only have black Matt. WHAT???? I asked for French nails with silver tips tech said my nails were to short. I wanted a design with the silver over my nails and the tech couldnt do it. Sorry, not sorry.
Ive been to both the Sansom & Walnut St. locations & honestly the one on Walnut St. had the worst customer service Ive ever experienced at a nail salon. The nail technician was rude during the entire manicure & then demanded the amount of tip she would have liked. I usually tip 20%, but with the service I received I just couldnt. And to top it off a gel manicure is already $35, a tad bit too pricey for just a gel manicure , with rude customer service on the side.
Service was ok, skills rate 8 and please don’t ask me for a tip next time that was so uncomfortable and unprofessional. If I like the job a tip comes after. Don’t not ask for a tip ladies.,
Awesome pedicures, relaxing, they offer spa pedicures as well. Comes with hotstone, foot and leg scrub, green tea detoxifying rub with a massage thats surely will put you to sleep! I have been coming here for years and the service is excellent, they aim to please. The owner joyce is a wonderful lady that will take care of you and answer all your questions and needs. Even after a pedi or mani, They offer you a complimentary mini massage😊. Whats better than that? I. Come all the way from west philly to get their pedicures so that speaks volumes. Give them a shot . well worth the money!!!!!
So I just went to get my nails done and they didn’t tell me the price until they were done. I had to take the nail filer to fix my nail shape like 4 times. And she still messed them up. I only came with 50 dollars expecting to pay 30-35 dollars because that’s how much I usually spend to get a refill . They took my last and didn’t car. My nails are not the same shape. This was literally the worst nail salon I even been to. I hate my nails. They took my last and still asked for a tip I was crying and everything because that is so not fair.
When there was a mistake with my first appointment and I wasnt happy with the service, Joyce invited me back to personally fix my nails and give me outstanding service. I left much happier thanks to her! I would come again
I paid for a regular pedicure ($33.00). I tipped the young lady $4.00. She said that was not enough??? She was asking for more money for the tip???
I will never go on a Sunday. I had the worst pedi and mani ever. I have gone through the week days and had a outstanding mani and pedi. Those girls run you through like a assembly line. Forget the hot rocks and massage well performed.
Literally the best. Take care of your mail, sand down any calluses amazing leg scrub and massage. Recommend 1000%
I got a full set for $55 and 3 nails broke the next day. The second day i didn’t have a single nail left. Very disappointed I had nails missing at a wedding . Please don’t waste your money here !!
Amazing, outstanding, extraordinary. I have been a customer here for 6 years, and they have always done excellent work. The staff are friendly and professional. Even when they are very busy, they still are able to accommodate walk-ins with minimal to no wait time. They are the absolute best.
So... we had time to kill before going back home to New York and figured getting a pedicures would be great. Nice staff, very friendly, very clean... but the price literally stunned me. I assume its because of the location?
Very warm employees and owner Joyce is superb. They really care for customers
Joyce is very personable and makes sure to listen to her clients. Really sweet staff!
This salon was terrible. I went in for a gel manicure and 4hw nails started peeling within the hour, the service took long and was overpriced and my nails unraveled after leaving
Unsanitary equipment.Spa pedicure is a no frills service, does not even include callus removal.
Got a pedicure and they was open later....so happy....will back!!!
Was given the wrong color + nail tech broke off half an inch of my real nails on multiple fingers when trying to remove gel
Great spa pedicure (and leg massage!) Also enjoyed the regular manicure. Very friendly and clean.
Very professional and extremely interested in executing covid19 protection protocols. Very impressed. Highly recommend this salon!
The service was amazing. It took a little long though. I definitely felt overcharged, but the services rendered were wonderful.
Friendly and professional. If you want your nails done right this is the place to go.
Excellent service , the staff does a good job. T he policy is to tip in cash, but there is an atm.
Joyce and the ladies made a great impression ❤️
Staff was so friendly, focus on making you comfortable, my nails are fabulous
Two broken nails $15 and waited till they finished to give me the price. Total Rip Off
Okay basic manicure, but not great for $16 before tip.
Went in for emergency nail problem and they turned me away...on the glass it says Walk-ins are welcome which is false advertising...and no customers were in there I will never go back!
Luisa gave me the nicest Mani pedi Ive had
Loved the girls working there... they made our mom and daughter day wonderful.
Very nice place but I asked for coffee ombré and it turned out horrible for $80
This salon staff are professional and great to their customer!!
Services cost a little more than average but well worth it
The place was wonderful; so clean; nice decor
The lady is so nice do a great job
Wonderful service and polish selection!

Love this place!
A very welcoming salon and an extremely kind team. Professionalism and delicacy for a result that I particularly appreciate. I opted for a French manicure and French pedicure and I found them well executed.Thank you all and a special thank you to the boss!
