Legends started here. Awesome place for stand-up and Thursday open mics. Beers are 6 bucks but thats not that bad for Center City. Staff is also very cool.

Wow… this place used to be so fun, I’m not sure what happened. I showed up on a Thursday night to celebrate a friend’s 21st birthday. To start, the main floor toilet was filled with feces and there was no sign on the door saying “Out of Order.” The upstairs bathroom was no better, there was no soap and only hand sanitizer. Speaking of upstairs, it was comedy night and the “comedians” were all recycling the same old misogynist jokes. Boo boo, tomato, boo. The drinks were also ridiculously expensive. $15 for a vodka cranberry? Really? Eventually the owner kicked the birthday girl out because she was wearing high heels and needed assistance getting to the upstairs bathroom, ya know, because the main bathroom was absolutely disgusting. Horrible, dirty place with horrible staff.

The Raven lounge is one of my favorite haunts in Philadelphia. You will always meet interesting people and you can totally just hang out and relax.

Came for the first time to see the open mic and the staff was super friendly and welcoming!!

Raven Lounge - What a dump - I mean listing this place as a dive-bar would be too nice to it. It is absolutely filthy and it is shocking that it keeps its licence to operate. There was nothing fun about it at all.... It was saturday night but it was mostly empty despite everything else on that road being full.

I love this place. DJ is great. This is the place to go. Clean, very stylish. The crowd is great. Big hug to the staff. Awesome place.

I had a blast here on the local comedy improv night. Over 20 local tricksters and comedians organized to perform and make you laugh on Thursdays. Beer and liquor , dual bars up and down and DJ it seems on most nights downstairs. Games like beer pong and jenga and more.

If you like dive bars, this is the spot. Cool people from every walk of life gathered together vibing out.

I saw Black Cat Habitat . Good place to see bands. Good Drink prices, but I didnt explore the other levels.

Laila, one of their bartenders is amazing ! I have always had to tier experiences here. It’s a very cool dive bar atmosphere and the music always *chef’s kiss*

Went there last night for a bachelor party/birthday. Had a blast, leaving a few poems behind. Next time, Im around, definitely stopping by.

Bartender charged us $15 for a whiskey & coke with well liquor in a small plastic cup. We clearly got upcharged. Half an hour later I had a delish cocktail at Tria for $14.

Came here as part of a bar crawl, although it wasnt very crowded I had trouble getting the attention of the gentleman bartender upstairs. When I did finally get his attention my friend ordered a blue mixed drink on special that was awful and apparently his personal recipe and he refused to tell us what was in the drink, and rather rudely walked away from us when she complained about the drink. Thankfully there was another bartender, a very nice young lady whose name I unfortunately cannot remember now, who saw our interaction with him and quickly remedied the situation and the drink. She is the only reason Im giving this place any stars, the drinks were not good at all except for hers and the gentleman honestly gave me a poor vibe as far as customer service goes.

Stopped in during a bar crawl, music/DJ was great. Drink had a fly in it, told bartender, employee replaced with a bit more rum the next time around. Staff is friendly. Not the cleanest but much potential if they do decide to clean it up (understanding that customers will trash it anyway).

Went because it was part of a bar crawl. Looked cool from outside but it was dirty as ever inside. Went downstairs to one of the bars and it was just a moldy smelling leaking basement. Wet everywhere, nasty, never again.

Cool spot with a nice crowd. 3 floors which is pretty cool with a bar on each floor. Its a bit small but good vibes. The reason Im giving 4 stars and not 5 is because the prices are a bit crazy. I got 3 jack and cokes and the bartender said $35 I was a bit shocked. I think its a bit overpriced for what I got but overall good experience but if your looking to get drunk at the bar this is probably not the place for it unless you want to spend $100

This place is a safety hazard , very crampy, if you are a person that does drugs this a the place for you, saw at least 5 people doing coke in the back room by the second bar me and my friends were sitting in when 2 guys came back there and openly snorted and had 3 of their friends joined

Excellent atmosphere. Enjoyed live music and drinks on the 1st floor, & an awsome live stand up comedy performance on the second floor. There was also a singles speed dating session on the third floor that I didnt participate in. The staff were all friendly and very helpful. I highly recommend this establishment.

Awesome place. Center city location! Fun atmosphere. Had the most beautiful skilled bartender. I think her name was Elana! Fast service, tasty drinks. Super Funny too. Must visit!!! Hopefully you get the same bartender!

Interesting concept, but it was kind of dead on a Saturday night. Bottom floor is a bar, next floor up is another bar with more decorations and seats, next floor up is a dance area, and then theres a fourth floor that only opens after midnight. The bottom 2 floors were empty lol, so I dunno what they were waiting for.Worth checking out if you are walking right by it, but I wouldnt make a special trip out to it

I was at a bar crawl on 10/30/2021 with a group of friends. The Raven Lounge was one of the participating bars. The bouncers and who ever else was outside admitting people into the club would NOT let us in. At first they claimed it was a pulled fire alarm and they had to wait to let everyone back in. After letting people back in, and we started to try to head in, they told us it was full. We turned to leave and they quickly shuffled in a group of people. We stood outside of the raven lounge or almost 15 minutes and watched crowds of people enter into the bar. We were never given a reason as to why we could not go in while they continued to let other people in.

Kevin was our bartender and he made our night unforgettable. This man needs to be getting paid $100/h he was so sweet. Protect Kevin at all cost. He took care of me and our co workers he’s awesome.

This place is awesome! Karaoke on Wednesday nights is really fun and has an awesome crowd. They always have new live music, comedy and DJs depending on the night. The photo booth, games and delicious drinks also make this our go-to spot to bring friends for a fun time in the heart of Philly!

Great place to get drinks at a reasonable price. Subtle crowd- for the most part. TVs are around... maybe 2.Fun things: some board games are available & so is chalk! Write your name on the ceiling wall @ the bar!

There shouldn’t be allowed a rating system for this place. You either get it and LOVE it, or don’t. 4 floors sometimes, stripper pole always, good bar staff, dance floor and photo booth. It’s a must go at least once. You’ll see.

Hard to start this review in finding where to begin, and will be hard to stop!First of all, as far as night life there is not a ton in Philly- especially in these pandemic days. Raven Lounge exceeds all the expectations one could look for. The club has 3 floors and the basement where you can change scenery/ maneuver around people easily. Music is varied and stays away from the top 40 🎶 which is the best, always! Drinks are fairly priced and music and people that RL attracts is phenomenal.My friend left their phone at the bar and we were easily able to grab it from the owner directly the next morning. Johnny is the MAN and you can tell he is passionate about what he has got going.GREAT STAFF, BARTENDERS, DJs, OWNERS and SPACE.Go to Raven Lounge tonight!Just do it.

My first Philly gig! Well...sort of! Super place and the bar staff are so great! They were so nice that they overlooked my sex and let me write on the ceiling for a t-shirt! Made my day! Great, great venue!

Stopped by during my Bachelorette party and had a blast! Loved our drinks and our bartender himself was great!

This place is strange and weird. But this is why you come here! Only place where you can walk upstairs and feel like you’re in a basement. $5 beers, $6 city wides on a Thursday seeing some great open mic stuff. Check it out.

Thursday COMEDY NIGHT — tons of fun!!!

Great place for a Monday night. No food but they offer lots of local places to bring the food back. Live jazz band started around 930. They also offer parties for larger groups of people too.

Okay games, drink alcohol, pole dance, take pics in photo booth, and meet down to earth regulars just looking to have a good night out. Been coming for years, usually just having water and dancing with my girlfriends. Once there was a dude dancing with his roller skates for a real long time.

Strange crowd. Bartenders were awesome. Good selection. Decent people that work there. The crowd the place attracted was odd the the higher the floor you went up into the place.

4 stories 4 bars. Not too crowded. Tight floors though. Also the bartender was super rude about ordering drinks twice over 3 hours without opening a tab. Verbatim “this is really inconvenient for me to have to keep ringing you up”

I always have a fun time here. Last time I went, I noticed something (that may have been) new. In the bathroom, there was a little revolving door that said knock for PBR so I knocked and there was a note and it said place $4 here. But I didnt want to hold up the bathroom line (its only one stall) so I just went to the bar instead. Still a cool idea!

On a block with so many options this is a good little spot. They do live music and other more night life stuff but for happy hour its a good spot to just chill, have a beer and cruise your phone. Love it.

Who runs this place, the bouncers or the customers??? I was simple try to use the restroom and got physically harassed by customers bcause I was a different color than them and they didnt want me in the same floor as them. Its 2019 this is completely unacceptable Theyre lucky I dont report them to the BBB

Disappointed. 20 dollars per person and I spent there 5 mins cuz it was fully packed and boring, low volume and strange music. No COVID-19 precautions cuz there is no space even to move, no one wears mask.

Roaches 🪳 lots of them and the fact that they are open and they are selling food and drinks. Definitely calling the health department asap!!

Raven lounge is my go to bar. I really enjoy their intimate and welcoming atmosphere. Theyre happy hour is excellent and their wide selection of cocktails always pleases me. I recommend you stop in next time youre in or around the Rittenhous Square area.

They have an open mic of Tuesdays, a comedy open mic on Thursdays, and I believe a DJ night in Fridays. They also have games like Connect 4, Twister, and Jenga to play as well. Complete with 2 rooms downstairs, and a room upstairs as well, there is always something to do at this bar.

I thought the drinks were a little pricey but liked the diversity on the different floors. The vibe was chill and comfortable. Will go again!

Its got 3 levels its a lil small on the 2of 3 levels didnt go upstairs tbh to speak on that and they make some pretty good drinks open longer than most places and get that mango margarita that is a 9outof 10 for me at least and i dont do mango drink it was a referral from a regular and i cant lie it was good they girl upstairs even made a good one out of who knows what but she had lil to work with and it surprised me n my lady

This was a hidden jewel surround by a clutter of restaurants, eateries, pseudo bars and ill conceived combinations of all the above. An utterly agreeable bartender who spoke perfect English and Polish but had no grasp of his beautiful Haitian fiancées Creole. You just have to try it. A sane oasis in the middle of happy hour clamor.

Small, but fun bar! Karaoke was a blast and pricing was decent. The bartender was great and the memories from this bar will last forever!

Pricey drinks but the stand up comedy is nice and fun on the second floor. Also Cash/Venmo only... Asides from that, a nice hole in the city with weird/grungy vibes.

This place was the hottest bar in Rittenhouse that one Friday that I went. It was so hot the firefighters came and they had to shut down the 2nd and 3rd floors. True story!

Ignorant with the open mic night. Wouldnt even let a rock band try to play and then gave no explanation.You would have had more people from NJ come over to your lounge.As a native Philly girl Im ashamed of this place.

Stumbled upon this place while exploring Philly and had a great time! There were four men in the upstairs bar area doing a podcast, which was fun to watch.

Never been, but saw the videos online. You guys have roaches. Get an exterminator in there, pronto! Yuck.

The bouncers dont know how to properly read ids without a scanner. They turned away a 28 yo because his Delaware license was laminated when the state laminates their licenses. Poor service.

This deserves some grading on a curve, its probably at best a mediocre dance bar but given Phillys complete lack of decent places like that its one of the better dance bars in the city

CALL THE POLICE. The manager and owner are equally incompetent as they are rude. It took 2 hours to get my confiscated ID back. Evidently if you call the police they will take your ID back from them and give it to you!

Late at night you are essentially banned from going from one part of the bar to another. I leave to use the bathroom and they wont let me back into the room I was in 5 minutes before. What is the point of this game? I dont know. But no patronage from me is the conclusion.

I used to go here often To hang out with friends. Drinks are pricey as most bars are on a club night is worth checking out who knows you might like it.

Beyond pathetic... small and the music was far from interesting. As well the comics up in the top level were pathetic.
