This review is long overdue!!! I love everythingabout Mi Cumbia from the services to the team. I truly feel cared for. Nail health is priority and Karina does an amazing job explaining her process. Ive been coming here for about a year and Im happy to say that I finally have a go-to nail salon. OH and I cant forget Sahar who is an absolute joy to be around!

What a warm and wonderful place! The staff was friendly and warm and welcoming. Luz was skilled, kind and friendly. I had a pedicure and a manicure with warm mango butter. Massage! What!!?? It was fabulous - lovely people I loved the decor. It was so warm and fun and relaxing! Just what I needed.

Im really not one to write reviews, and manicures are usually just a chore for me. But I just had the best manicure Ive ever had!! Luz was so incredible at so sweet. The whole staff felt like a happy family and the vibes were great. The salon itself is beautiful- so unique, relaxing and energizing at the same time. Thetreatments are so worth it and so unique- I loved the coconut scrub!! 100% will be going back (maybe even tomorrow for a pedicure)!

Mi Cumbia is a gem in Rittenhouse! It is such a welcoming and friendly environment as soon as you walk through the door. The services are top notch, relaxing, and last! Highly recommend for anyone that is looking for a great place to treat themselves and relax. I will definitely be back soon!

I dont get my nails done often, but I had an engagement shoot coming up that I needed my hands to look nice for. Im so happy I found Mi Cumbia! Everyone was so warm and sweet as soon as I walked in. I was also impressed and relieved when they pulled out the tools in sterile bags. The cleanliness is top notch and so important when working with hands and feet, and no nauseating dusty smells from acrylic here. I usually dont have a pleasant time getting my nails done, but Gabriela was so gentle and meticulous, I felt so relaxed the whole time. I will definitely return!

I have been going to Mi Cumbia for a little over a year now, and it’s the BEST waxing experience I’ve had anywhere in the U.S. Right off the bat, you are greeting by the most loving and welcoming staff. Lucesita will help you with all your booking needs and never fails to have a smile on her face or a little dance in her feet. If you are new to waxing, Karina will talk you through an orientation explaining her technique and how hair growth/waxing works. Never have I EVER had a waxing lady as tedious, efficient, and personable as Karina. She even breaks out the tweezers to get any ingrowns in sight! After my first couple of waxes at Mi Cumbia, I could tell a difference unlike any waxing place— complete and utter SMOOTHNESS. It truly is the perfect wax. Recovery is fast and with her technique you aren’t in much pain during the whole process. Karina is always getting you to chat and distracts you from the waxing— she’s so easy to talk too, that sometimes I forget my bikini line is getting waxed!! I’m sure there’s cheaper places in Philadelphia, but Mi Cumbia is worth every. Dang. Penny. The service is beyond anything else you can get in the city. What I love most about Mi Cumbia, was the friendliness of the staff. They remembered conversations from last visits and always made me feel the utmost comfortable. Getting your first wax or trying a new place out can be really awkward, but I never felt that here. You are in good hands. I tell everyone I know they need to cancel their next wax appointment and book with Karina instead!!!

Hands down the best manicure and pedicure shop I have visited. They try to keep you with the same person so you feel familiarity. Booking is easily done via text and they send out reminders. Pay online first prior to visit to secure a few days before. Busy days are on the weekends and evening hours. Pedicure is great because it’s only 2 people at a time. They take their time and I feel so pampered. My nails look great every time. They have great products that don’t mess up your nails. It can be on pricer side but so worth it. Staff are soooooo cheery and nice. Offers to take my coat, offers tea, coffee, or water…offers neck warmers…it’s great and really well thought out for a smaller space. It never smells like the harsh nail salons I have been to before where the acetone hits you right when you walk in. They also try to source products from local countries and support them. They also do want do waxing, brows, etc. Shout-out to Ofelia who is always so sweet and professional ❤️❤️❤️

MI CUMBIA is one of the best places in Philadelphia! We had such an amazing experience. My fiancé, 6 from our wedding party and I had a Pampering Day before my wedding and got Mani/Pedis. This place went above and beyond our expectations with regards to how well they took care of us. From putting up Congratulations signs on the walls, to telling us to bring snacks and champagne so they can serve it to us. Sahar is an angel sent to Earth. She was the life of the party and made the experience what it was. Everyone who helped us was kind and professional. All 8 of us had such an incredible time here and cannot wait to have another Pampering Day in the future.

Hidden gem! Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. Ofelia did a fantastic job on my mani/pedi. The space is relaxing and very clean. Love that they use natural ingredients. This is definitely my new go-to!

This is a beautiful place! I loved the work girls did on my nails. It was almost impossible to find a decent place to do gel but I found it! I needed a plain color for my upcoming wedding and it worked perfectly. Moreover, the gel lasted for about 4 weeks on my nails.Great job! Will definitely come back to this place when I’m in Philly again.

Mi Cumbia has such an accommodating and friendly staff. They have an excellent choice of boutique, high-end polishes. Not to mention their pedicures are always so relaxing. Highly recommended to anyone looking to pamper themselves and indulge.

I love the services here. They really use high quality products. I have been to many nail salons for gel nails and their products really keep my nails healthy. I also notice that their manicures lasts up to 3 weeks. Though prices are on the higher end, you really do get what you paid for. All of the staff are so warm and welcoming. It’s small but cozy and you don’t feel like you are in a factory mill. I feel like a million bucks when I leave. Sanitary and clean. It doesn’t even smell like a typical nail salon where I get headaches from the smell of polish and remover.

Came here as part of an exhaustive search and am totally in love with this place. The booking experience was really easy, as soon as I got there everyone made me feel totally comfortable. The pedicure was fantastic with the best foot massage I’ve had in my life, my technician (Luce) did a beautiful job. The coffee was also delicious! And everyone took huge care to send me away with unsmudged nails. Couldn’t think of anything to better this experiences, would give 6 stars if I could.

Mi Cumbia is by far the best place for a mani and/or pedi in the entire PA/NJ/DE region! My non-gel nails always last at least a week. Sahar and the entire staff are so kind. I only have positive words about this business and their people!

A regular visitor here for the past one year and my only regret is that I didn’t know of it sooner. Yes, the service is GREAT and incomparable to any in Philadelphia but the people.. the people working here make it feel like the coziest place in city. I moved to Philadelphia four years ago (from Asia) and I never truly felt like I was home in Philly until I went to Mi Cumbia. Ever since my first visit, Philly has felt nothing less than my first home in states. I love this place and cannot thank Karina and Sahar enough for making this into such a beautiful womanhood sanctuary.

I’ve been coming here weekly for manicures and pedicures since 2018ish. It’s the only place I have gone in that time period because the customer service is amazing, and the quality of the work is unmatched. 100% perfect every time. Ofellia never misses. I had a wonderful experience here with my twin sister for our birthday just last week! From the moment we entered to the moment we left, we were showered with such welcoming and joyous energy and pampering, they truly made us feel special. They had little signs that said “Happy Birthday” on our seats for our pedicure 🥹. Our aestheticians Luz and Angelica (I’m sorry if I’m getting the spellings wrong!) we’re phenomenal, and Cassandra was so helpful in picking out our colors and managing the whole experience. We did the Nuevo mani-pedi and I can truly say my hands and feet felt like new - I love that they use natural ingredients. I will definitely be back!

Just wow! Great atmosphere and great service. My wife and I went here on 9/9/20 for pedicures. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by a woman in the front area. I didnt catch her name, but her personality was very kind and bubbly. Made us feel right at home right away. And the pedicures themselves were great. Highly recommend Mi Cumbia!!

I visited Mi Cumbia for the first time this week and am EXTREMELY happy to have found this place. At first I thought the price seemed steep (I am used to those super cheap NY prices) BUT the service and the end result are incomparable to salons I have visited in NYC, Philly, Or SJ. The price is well worth it. I got the Shellac (gels) and they look amazing. Gabriela and the rest of the women at the salon were kind, courteous, and pleasant. Not to mention the complimentary coffee they offer was AMAZING. I will definitely be visiting again and cant say enough great things about my experience.

I have been coming to Mi Cumbia for about 4 years now and Im never disappointed - I wouldnt think of going anywhere else! Karina is such a knowledgeable aesthetician and makes sure that her clients know whats going on each step of the way. Vanessa has done such a great job picking up Karinas clients while she is on maternity leave - and I always feel like Im in good hands. Though I mainly go for waxing, all of the staff is always so welcoming and friendly - I have so much fun when Im there! Its a beautiful, calming, and clean atmosphere as well. Wonderful pedicure!! And they use fresh, clean materials each time for cleanliness. Absolutely lovely and warm staff, quite and relaxing room, detailed service. Kelly did a great job with my pedicure, as she has done before. I think that Mi Cumbia is a wonderful place, great attitude among the staff and very professional. This last time, things were a little backed up in the shop (possibly because of the Memorial Day weekend) but I was well attended too and even received a complimentary chocolate flight while I waited. Definitely a go to spot if you really want to be pampered.

So much to love about this place. Somehow, Mi Cumbia found a way to make the most painful beauty service pleasant! I love Carina and have been consistently going to her for 2 years. The salon is cozy and rustically beautiful in a way that transports you to another place and time.The South American music, scents of the amazing candles and delicious complimentary teas are all an added bonus. 5 stars all around!!

I have been going to Mi Cumbia for almost over a year, upon a friends recommendation.. and well havent stopped... I enjoy their service and atmosphere, one of warmth and elegance. Also I have sensitive nails that respond very well to their organic polishes, which last approx. 2 weeks - even while hiking and camping. The space is well designed and kept. The staff is like family, always remembering when they saw you last and smiling. Exceptional in every way. Great service and cant get myself to go anywhere else. Hands down blows all other salons out of the water.

This was my first time here, and Ill definitely be back. Marjorie gave me a wonderful pedicure and manicure. The environment isnt like a normal nail salon, it is calm and relaxing, so you dont feel rushed by other clients waiting to get their services. It also doesnt reek of chemicals. The customer service is fabulous, from start to finish. I loved the coconut manicure! It was luxurious and left my skin super soft. Great place for guys too.

The most pleasant experience a waxing can be! The staff, especially Karina, are always very welcoming and professional. The salon itself has such a homey feel to it. Ive never experienced any level of discomfort during or post waxing. I have been to other salons in Philadelphia, and I can confidently say that I will never be going anywhere else for my waxing needs now that Ive discovered and fallen in love with Mi Cumbia!

4th time coming here for a mani and pedi and put of the the nail salons Ive been to in Philly this is definitely the best of the best. Friendly staff, neat and clean atmosphere and yes the prices might be little prices but its worth every penny and my nails always last a month or longer. I am on an extended visit to Philadelphia. I was looking for a pedicure that was extra special and relaxing. I really wanted to be wowed by the $91 signature ultra healing pedicure. I was not. The pedicure itself was very nice, but not spectacular. It was really the whole experience that was somewhat lacking. Specifically I was offered a drink upon arrival, I never received it. Asked for it a second time while I was drying, still never got it. The seating while waiting (my appointment time was about 10 minutes late and I was asked to arrive 10 minutes early - and I was early - so I sat on a bench with no back for an extended period both before and after my appointment) was uncomfortable and certainly not indulgent or pampering. When seated for the pedicure, the sliding door was left open on several occasions and the sunlight bouncing off the street outside was stark and blinding - again anything but relaxing or pampering. The surroundings were beautifully decorated, the employees were friendly but follow through on service was average at best, poor given that this was the most expensive pedicure I’ve ever indulged in. I so wanted to have had a stellar experience - my daughter’s birthday is later this month and I wanted to treat her to some self pampering. I will need to explore other options.

Every experience at Mia Cumbia is one I look forward to. It’s an oasis in the city. The care and attention the incredible staff there provide (not to mention warmth and love they exude) make it a very special place. They use natural/non-toxic products (i.e: they shave fresh coconut for an exfoliant), so you won’t encounter the usual strong smell often found at nail salons. But this is way beyond any nail salon, it feels like a spa experience. Mia Cumbia focuses on the details which make all the difference. I highly recommend taking time for self-care here.

I received a gift cert for my birthday from my daughter and this was my first time at CUMBIA. It was such a great experience! As soon as we walked in we were warmly greeted. The ambiance puts one in another world. Several organic options and quality Colombian coffee and chocolates. I had Kelly and she did a wonderful job. extremely professional but down to earth. My friend and I have made it tradition to go here to celebrate surviving each semester of grad school. I describe Mi Cumbia as the Mercedes Benz of all spas / nail salons. The extraordinary experience is worth the money spent. Their “routine” is nothing like the traditional manicure or pedicure. I love the organic products that are used on my skin— mango butter, crushed flowers (So heavenly!) Above all, customer service is amazing and the ladies that work there are personable.

Wonderful customer service! The staff were friendly and professional. Although I consider myself a progressive man, I had to overcome my gender issues and just enjoy the experience as a first time customer and having my first ever pedicure, and they made it easy. The technician who worked on me was gentle and explained everything as she went along. She gave me advice about caring for my nails and advised me to give my feet a rest more often because she could tell I am on my feet a lot. I was the only male customer, but I got no weird looks as I feared. The spa even stayed open a little past the stated closing time while I went to the ATM to get some cash for the technicians tip. Since two other customers were waiting around, presumably for rides, I gather that such courtesies are not rare. Also, only natural products are used at this spa so there were no weird or unpleasant chemical odors, just pleasant herbal and floral scents. It was worth the price!

Ive been to a lot of nail spas in this by far is my favorite. I frequented this location while I was pregnant because of their non-toxic products. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable while receiving five-star treatment in this cozy salon with beautiful South American decor. This place is a treasure.

I have a terrible allergic reaction to typical gel manicures and acrylics. I decided to give Mi Cumbia a chance since they advertised as a natural salon. My first shellac manicure at this place was amazing! My fingers did not itch or burn and my manicure looked wonderful. I got three compliments that first week on my nails! Yesterday was my second visit and my second manicure looks and feels just as great as my first. I also had a lip/brow wax this time. My sensitive facial skin usually turns a bright shade of red and becomes irritated after a wax. Not at Mi Cumbia! My brows look amazing and my lip is smooth! No redness right irritation at all.The prices are a little higher than I would like to pay but you know how the saying goes — You get what you pay for! It’s obvious that the products they use are top of the line. For someone like me with sensitive skin it’s work every penny!

I LOVE everything about Mi Cumbia. From the moment you walk in, you’re always greeted with a warm hello from at least one person..then offered a drink of their delicious coffee or water (which tastes extra delicious served in their signature mi Cumbia glass mugs for some reason.) the music and ambiance is always on point and I even enjoy just sitting there, relaxing and taking it all in, while I wait.The service is comparable to none!!! This is my favorite place to get my nails and now my eyebrows done. The quality is beautiful and holds up well. The products are organic/natural and it feels good to know it’s non toxic. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful with questions and recommendations regarding skin and nail care. I’ve also come twice in the past with two of my best girlfriends who came in to Philadelphia for a reunion/girls weekend , and they too fell in love with Mi Cumbia! I’m grateful for all the ladies (Kelly is perfect, and Gabriella gave me the best pedicure of my entire life) at Mi Cumbia and for their dedication to precision, kindness, absolute luxurious comfort, and professionalism.

Every time I step into Mi Cumbia, I feel the stress slip away for a little while. I came in a few minutes late and feeling frazzled, and everyone was so welcoming and had me feeling relaxed right away. My manicure and pedicure were the perfect colors for the wedding I was in, and the delicious coffee is always a wonderful treat. Thank you everyone for making one thing on a long to do list feel like relaxation. Ill be back!

This is honestly one of the best waxing places in Philadelphia. Karina and Vanessa are absolutely amazing, and I had a fairly pain-free waxing experience, since they use small strips for waxing. I have a sensitive skin, and I have tried hard wax. But, this is better. You will not regret going here. The ambiance is cheery and jovial, and they are very clean. I highly recommend this place!

First of all let me say I am not young (although young at heart) and that I have never been the type of woman who keeps up on her nails. I have always been somewhat intimidated by beauty places; by the cliquishness and at many I instantly feel my mental age regressing to junior high when I was clearly not one of the cool girls. So Im always a little nervous about going to a new place. But the folks at Tierra immediately made me feel welcome and that they were glad I was there. And the service was fantastic - I was clearly in the hands of a professional who was dedicated to doing a good job. GREAT place, wonderful vibe, welcoming to all. Im very, very happy with Tierra.I returned yesterday to take a friend as a graduation present. Another wonderful experience and excellent service! Really nice folks who take great pride in making their clients feel welcomed and in doing a fantastic job.

Recently visited this salon, reviews were good and I’m new to the state so I figured why not. I came in a bit early and was greeted by a front desk girl (very friendly btw) so it made me feel at ease to wait for my tech (mindy I think her name was). I guess the appointment before me ran over time but it was okay luckily I didn’t have much to do that day, Once she was ready I was greeted and taking to the room to start my eyebrow wax/tint. Mindy was very friendly and attentive to me, but the reason I’m only giving 3 stars is because I do not believe she used an actual eyebrow tint on my eyebrows, she simply used a cheap eyebrow pencil to fill them in (I could of done that myself) in total I paid $36 for work that was mediocre at best. The only plus at this salon they are friendly but work isn’t the greatest.

Great staff, warm and friendly! Vanessa has been doing my eyebrows for almost a year now and she is trustworthy, kind, and professional. Im very happy with the service they provide. The salon is clean and as you as you walk in you feel relaxed and welcomed.

One of my favorite places to visit. Ive been a customer for years. I moved 2 years ago and when I come back in town I still go. They were the first salon to introduce me to organic and natural nail polish. Once you go there and dont smell the chemicals you normally smell in a nail salon Its hard to turn back. Plus, they offer an excellent service. It was hard finding something similar to Mi Cumbia in NJ/NY. Lots of salons offered pieces of what they do, but not the whole package. I finally found something that works for me in NJ, but like I said if I have time when I go back to Philly I still go to Mi Cumbia.

I go to Mi Cumbia for bikini waxing and I cannot say enough about how wonderful they are. I only began waxing because I was pregnant and could not groom myself. I have not stopped going since then, three years ago. Karina explains the entire process and the product she uses at your first appointment. She is gentle and skilled. You are in and out of there, and you can manage to relax while there - not easy when you are getting waxed in the nether regions. My skin is never irritated or bleeding. The place is nice, the people are even nicer and the service is top notch.

The attentive and super-friendly staff in this artfully decorated nail salon provided me with a lovely morning pampering. I walked into the cozy and bustling space and chose from an excellent selection of high-end nail polishes in a bright array of colors. My unique manicure experience (my hands soaked in natural ingredients like coconut milk, poured over them from a white pitcher into a wooden bowl) was accompanied by a delicious cup of coffee as upbeat Latin music played in the background. More expensive than your usual run of the mill manicure but highly recommended if you’re looking to treat yourself (or someone else) to a sumptuous experience that leaves you feeling like a queen.

I came here for a pedicure to pamper myself a bit. I understand it’s during this time so I didn’t expect anything over the top.I was a bit annoyed at how I had to push my appointment back by 15minutes but it was fine.The polish application was nice. I did burn my big toe a bit under the Uv gel lamp but my technician put some cream on it. I had a callus treatment added and a cream was put on my foot, than my foot soaked in the lukewarm water , and my technician worked on my heels with a rectangle emery board. My technician Gabriella was really nice.The experience was just “ok” and don’t think I would be back. Still looking for the best pedicure in Philly!

I went to Mi Cumbia for the first time on May 11th, 2018. I had a fantastic mani/pedi. They were very gracious to work me into their schedule because I waited until the last minute to make appointment. I really loved the natural treatments, the smell (non-toxic), and the ambiance of the salon.

Always a wonderful experience going to Mi Cumbia! Everything about this spa is five star - warm people, fantastic services, high quality nail polish, beautiful decor and relaxing atmosphere! This is a love letter to Mi Cumbria and to its fantastic owners. I had two days in Philadelphia, and the one thing I wanted to do for myself was to get a manicure and pedicure. I never manage to take the time for that in my day to day, which I know is my own issue. But in any case, my manicure and pedicure were perfect. The two women who worked on my nails were lovely, and they took their time, despite the fact that I came at the end of what Im sure was a long day. While my nails were drying, I sat with the owners, who couldnt have been lovelier. If Mi Cumbria was in my hometown in Massachusetts (and I wish it were!), I would make the time to go there--not just because of the excellent service they provide but because of the excellent people they are. Thank you for being so very, very lovely. You are the best.

Treated myself mom and sister to a pedi. We all 3 loved the service. The salon was so cute loved the decor. The receptionist was was so nice and greeted us with such warmth at the door. The pedicurists were so nice, professional. Everyone was great would def go back.

I booked an appointment for a pedicure and a foot massage; full attention is given to you and they make sure you are comfortable. My nails look amazing and my feet feel great. You wont be able to go anywhere else once youve tried Tierra Mia! After trying a few places, Ive had all of my waxing done here on a regular basis for over a year now. Its the cleanest, least painful and best results (smoothest, longest-lasting and least traumatizing for my skin) Ive ever had from wax. Shes gifted at eyebrow shaping. Everyone here is warm, welcoming and friendly and the entire place has personality- none of that cold, neutral chain spa feel. They care about the business, the services and the cusomters.

A friend and I stepped in for a foot massage and instantly felt transported to Columbia. Between the music, scents and aesthics, we felt like we left Philly the moment the door opened. The design is really memorable: skillful wood work, thoughtfully hung burlap and worn pages torn from a novel. The massages are worth every penny, as are the products used (and sold) in store. It wasnt until after I left that I realized how tight my feet were. Definitely part of my new foot care routine!

I had a wonderful manicure with Shellac pedicure with Blanca. She was very cautious and did an excellent job. Everyone there is friendly and helpful and I especially appreciated the peace and quiet atmosphere in the pedicure room. I will return again and recommend to others as well.

This is my second time here and I absolutely LOVE the service. Blanca was great! In addition to the friendly staff I love the fact that when you step in Mi Cumbia it immediately brings you to another place. You are no longer in your neighborhood spa. I come from a Hispanic family and when I am here I feel like I am home :-)

UPDATE 5/31/19 -Mi Cumbia is still hands down the best place for waxing in Philadelphia! I am always impressed by the service from the minute I walk in the door until the minute I leave. I went for my 2nd Sereno pedi in about 6 months and cannot rave enough about it. Kelly is meticulous when it came to the nail care and polish application. She gave an amazing leg and foot massage, and she checked in with me the whole time. If you are looking for a nice girls day/night out -this is the service and the place! They only have two pedicure chairs which makes the experience very intimate if it is you plus one. Mi Cumbia is 5* and more. I will recommend their services to anyone and everyone!!---I was in need of a new waxing place since I recently moved back to Philly. Mi Cumbia and Karina were highly recommended so I scheduled my appointment. Yesterday was my first appointment and I will definitely be going there for all my waxing needs! I arrived about 5 minutes before my scheduled appointment and on the dot, Karina greeted me and walked me back to the waxing room. WOW!!! She took the time to talk to me about waxing and the techniques and wax she would be using. This was my first full on Brazilian and she made me feel very comfortable. When she got to waxing she was quick (not rushed) and thorough!! She talked to me about maintaining the area to help reduce ingrown hairs and I left with a little antibacterial cream for the first 12-24 hours. In all the years I have been getting waxed this was ranked possibly the top. There was pain, but it was minimal. Upon getting home I maybe had 1 rogue hair not caught by Karinas eye. Not to mention the summer special that if you go back in 3 weeks, they offer a discounting follow up to keep you beach ready.The atmosphere and rest of the employees were also top notch. I will most definitely be going back!!!

Id been wanting to try this place for a while, and finally got around to booking an appointment 9/20/19. I got a consultation, Salinas mani & pedi. Upon entry, I was greeted warmly & received assistance selecting a color. My appointment started on time & I was offered tea and a weighted shoulder warmer (Trust me, take the shoulder warmer!). This place not only offers organic fume free services, but a luxurious experience. I enjoyed the massage with mango butter, it was so relaxing! Upon check out, the owner said that they guarantee the nails & its the truth! My polish lasted for a week & a half without chipping & I got a regular mani, no gel! Ill be back!

My recent manicure here was a wonderful and more than satisfactory experience. From the moment I walked in I felt welcomed, informed, and was made comfortable. The woman who greeted me and checked me in, Blanca, who did my manicure, and the man who checked me out were all very friendly and made sure I was satisfied with my experience. Ill definitely be back to get my gel manicure removed and to get my nails done again.

I will not go anywhere else for a wax or pedicure in the Philly area! Ever since my first experience, Ive had nothing but exceptional service. Karina is warm, personable, knowledgeable and always remembers details from my life that I shared with her at my last visit. The waxing is pretty ouchless and since I tend to be having a nice conversation with Karina, I dont really notice any pain! The pedicures have been amazing!! Ive always had the coconut one and I practically fall asleep when the technician paints warm oil over my feet and legs and then massages them. It is so relaxing!! The added plus to all this is that the nail polish is organic. Ive had the coffee, chocolate and even brought a bottle of bubbly when I was there with a friend, all adding to a luxurious visit. You will not be tempted to go elsewhere after coming to Mi Cumbia.

Love going here, always feel welcomed. I’ve been going here for about 2 years now for waxing when I moved to the city and haven’t thought twice about going elsewhere. I came here last Tuesday and I thought this was going to be a normal nail salon. I was wrong. The experience I had here is one I will never forget. First of all, Mi Cumbia is a Colombian nail salon and I did not know that is a thing. The employees, who are like family to one another, give their customer’s the upmost care. Also, they used mango balls for my manicure and I found that to be so interesting. The mango balls got rolled around until they melted and was then used to massage on to my hands and arms. It felt so good.Also, I could not stop looking at the interior design of this place! There are so many fine details and everything is just gorgeous. Honestly, Mi Cumbia is a nail salon that builds relationships with their customers and even friendships. If you live in Philadelphia, I highly suggest that you come to Mi Cumbia.

My mom and I discovered Mi Cumbia a year or two ago, and have been coming ever since. It is the perfect treatyourself experience - luxurious, calm, soothing, and they do a fantastic job. We go monthly for a pedicure + foot massage, and it has become one of the best rituals we could think of. Everyone is warm, kind, and easy-going, and even if the price tag is a bit higher than we would be able to swing, the experience makes it all worth it. We love Mi Cumbia, and will be lifers!

This little sanctuary has been my absolute favorite place for manicures and pedicures since the first time I walked into it over two years ago. Amazingly relaxing atmosphere at Mi Cumbia. Great music. No chemical smells whatsoever when you are there because the products are so good. It just smells like coffee and chocolate. I went to them while I was pregnant. I love that their nail salon doesnt smack you in the face with the smell of heavy chemicals when you walk in like other places. They use all natural products and the main nail polish brand, Zoya, that they use is formaldehyde free. I have only one gripe and it could have been my fault and that is that once when I went, the nail polish on my big toe got smudged. All in all, I have had great experiences when going there.

Mi Cumbia is amazing. They use top of the line products, do an unparalleled manicure (try the coconut) and make you feel like family while you’re there. My 2 month old was having a meltdown and instead of rescheduling my appointment, Sahar soothed him so I could have some much needed me time. I can’t say enough about Sahar, Kelly, Avi, Kendra, Mari, and the rest of the staff at this awesome salon. Truly a gem!

I decided to try this place, as recommended by a friend. I had a wonderful experience at this salon. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted with a smile and a big welcome, as well as no chemical smell! yay. Their location is very tiny, therefore appointments are necessary. Its so unique, chocolate to purchase, as well as their products they use on you, jewelry, coffee, etc. They even let me try a sample of their chocolate. I had work completed by Gabriela. She did an amazing job throughout. It was so relaxing, as I had the Columbiana (manicure, pedicure, foot massage), therefore small talk wasnt necessary as I was just focusing on relaxing. A lady came in and was strapped for time for her appointment, but they were able to complete the job in the time she asked. I was told my experience would be about 1 1/2 hours, but it was more like 2 hours because of dry time, to pay and set up the next appointment! I plan to come back in two weeks for my birthday. There were a variety of non-toxic polishes to choose from - water based, sparkle, etc. I didnt choose the water based because there are strict guidelines to follow when on it, and I didnt want to risk ruining the polish. Its been over 24 hours and no problems with the paint job. Also, my feet are so silky smooth, even after walking downtown for hours after the experience! It is a bit on the pricey side, therefore I dont think I can go every 2 weeks, but its def something every woman OR man (im bringing my boyfriend next visit), should experience!

Best waxing experience of my life, no joke. Karina is warm, caring, professional and does a great job. I now live in DC and am struggling to find a place that uses the same wax and waxing technique that you find at Tierra Mia. Whenever I visit Philly, I make it a point to make an appointment here. I cant speak to the manicure/pedicure services but if the waxing is any indication, I wouldnt hesitate to recommend Tierra Mia for that as well. Give it a try!

I found my new pedi salon. A very very clean, non-toxic environment. They take their time with each customer. It is well worth the expense. Everyone who works here works with such joy, its infectious. Treat yourself to this, its so worth it. The place is small but they make it work and have been doing so in the same spot for 10 years!!!

I love coming to Mi Cumbia!!! The atmosphere is so relaxing especially in the pedi room. Low lights and music; such a pampering experience. And my nails look great!

Loved the whole experience, especially the promptness of services. For a mani with shellac and pedi, I spent an just about an hour and loved my services. They grabbed fresh herbs for my manicure hand butter right in front of me. It is a boutique location so you dont have to worry about crowds. It is appointment only but I think that helps them manage their time. Overall I will return, you get what you pay for here.

I been coming to Mi Cumbia Organica for a very long time now and every experience when I walk through the door is a beautiful one!!!! Every staff member makes me feels welcomed and loved. My nails take a beating at work daily (Im a physician), and Mi Cumbia is THE place for me to go to pamper my hands and get some relaxation and down time. I love the coconut manicure with hand massage, accompanied by a cup of java ($1.50) and a flight of chocolates (just $1). No horrible fumes, no tacky music, and the employees are cheerful, calm, and fun.

Staff are incredible. This is always a pitstop whenever I go to Philly every couple months. The service and essence of each individual here embody self-care. So respectful, mindful and considerate. This is a magical gem if you are open to and receiving in kind a nourshing dose of sisterhood. Business owned by a couple. One of the partners designed the beautiful interior, reflecting back the philosophy behind their services.

I have had different people each time Ive gone and they are all the same - fantastic. I highly recommend the coconut oil pedicure - worth every relaxing minute. Only issue is finding parking on the street - but what else is new in Philly!

Love this spa! Sahar’s warm welcome at each visit feels like a warm hug and is often followed by a cup of tea in non-pandemic times. The intimate setting (2 pedi chairs and 3 mani chairs) allows for pure relaxation and me-time. Such a great respite from the busy flow of life to slow down and have an organic mani/pedi that rejuvenates your soul.

A lovely place and lovely people. Reserved a first manicure for my daughter along with my wife. The staff could not have been nicer. Very impressive how efficiently the place is run while at the same time making everyone feel welcomed.

All products sold here are natural and organic. The Lemongrass Sugar scrub is to die for!!!! Im totally obsessed and ALWAYS have a big jar in the shower. After 12 long hours of being an RN, Im so exhausted, sore, tense, overwhelmed and frustrated. But as soon as I use this healing scrub and work it into my feet all the way up to my face, I feel refreshed and extraordinarily much better! Its absolutely amazing!!! Truly its like having a spa in your bathroom. And believe it or not its lemon so men also will love using it. My coworkers husband is so in love with this scrub! Lol!!! I give these scrubs out as gifts and they are ALWAYS a hit!!! The coconut lotion and everyother product sold here are just spectacular! Please come in and enjoy a delicious cup of Columbian coffee while you sit back and melt into your chair as you get the best manicure and pedicure of your life! And remember all their products are so gentle and toxic free, so my daughter just loves coming here too!!! Love the natural polishes, the calming atmosphere, the excellent service. Nobodys wearing masks--theres no need since the salon smells like aromatherapy, not harsh chemicals. Its a tiny jewel box of a place, a welcome respite in the busy city. The only nail salon I visit!

I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the place and the pedicure room. I like that they have natural products. My biggest issue is that I now have painful cuticles on one of my thumbs and a big toe. It has been painful for a couple of days now and I did not notice it right away. On top of that, my cuticles for my hands were not soaked before pushing and scraping. The pedicure and manicure look great. I am just now concerned about treating my cuticles and preventing an infection.

Very, very friendly and hospitable staff! Great attention to detail and gentle with my manicure! The natural cocunut scrub/oil is exactly what I wish all salons would use, i have sensitive skin and it felt wonderful! I wish they were in my city so I could be a regular!

A delightful warm place for a special treat for your body and soul. I come here for manicure and foot massage most of the time (and buy gorgeous necklaces!), and the reception is always so friendly. Blanca helped me last time, and her touch is just delicious.

This is a hidden gem and the friendliest place you will find in Philadelphia! They offer the same services youd find at most salons, they just do it better here. Absolutely excellent. I was visiting Philly and decided to treat myself. The staff was welcoming, kind, and talented. I had waxing and pedicure services and everyone was great. Whenever Im in Philly, this is where I will go.

I had a coconut pedi and mango butter mani on 7/21/18. My services were ok. I did feel as if everything was a bit rushed. I received the shellac polish for my mani. Unfortunately, it is already chipping. However, I was very appreciative of the neck warmer given to me by my manicurist. Nonetheless, Kayla and Sahra (probably misspelled) are amazing at what they do. Kayla is very attentive, warm, and personable. Sahra was a sweetheart over the phone so I knew it would be equally matched in person. Overall, I would be willing to give it one more try just to be certain that it wasnt just bad timing for my first visit.

This is my one thing I do for myself and I cant wait for my appointment every month!!!! It is like a little oasis, the services are bar none and the people couldnt be nicer, warmer or more welcoming!This is also my go to gift item as everyone should have a Tierra Mia/Mi Cumbia experience!

I love this spa. The space, the people, the history and the love are also 5 star. I always feel like Im home with sisters and aunites that want nothing but the best for me. I had scheduled to have 3 mani/pedis the day before our wedding at Mi Cumbia. The appointment was booked and prepaid and was all set for 3:30pm. At 9:45am that day, I received a text that due to unforeseen circumstances we had to reschedule. I understand that things happen, but for a $200 mani/pedi I would expect backup plans to be in place if anything happens. I was appalled that we had such little notice and for our big day, we were left scrambling to find another salon. We did receive a full refund and I am sure the service is great, but if you are on a tight deadline keep a backup plan in mind.

Karina and her team are just wonderful. Relaxed atmosphere (even when its a busy day, flexibility, and customized care. Its a pleasure to visit them for any of their services.
