Space is pretty clean. If you ignore the holes in the roof and water all over the floor. Bartenders are friendly. Shows are pathetic ( mostly the MC). Music is lowsey. Great looking club though. Just need to step it up a bit.
The atmosphere is nice and the bartenders are responsive. I came on a Friday so… maybe that’s why it was dead? Idk. The double jack and coke however… was this made from water from Lake Alan Henry? Honey… that was not it at all.
I wanted to like Luxor, but I found it impossible. First, the place is not disability friendly. There were stairs everywhere, too narrow corridors, and no handicap restroom. So to enjoy the club, you must be able-bodied. Second, the club atmosphere was weird. The place smelled stale and funky. The interior was industrial modern but looked to have been done 30 years ago. The place looked more shabby than chic. Third, the sound system was so loud that you couldnt talk to friends. And once the smoke machine was turned on, everything became obscured. No one was dancing, nothing was happening. People sat about looking at their phones in a supremely loud and dusky setting. Finally, the restrooms were ridiculous. They were so small that if you closed the door, your legs wouldnt fit. They were clean, at least. In the end, my party didnt stay. We could hang out together in a more comfortable environment in many other places. 1.5 stars
The entire staff here is amazing.
I hate to say this about any small town, lgbt dance club but this is by far the most boring nightclub I’ve been to in my life. They need to fire the DJ and hire one who knows what he’s doing and can keep a crowd on the dance floor. Businesses come and go but if this club goes under, you had useful, constructive criticism from me.
As a Philly gay I can say this place is pretty good sized, has multiple lounges, two bars and some decent music. You get here earlier than 11 though and expect it to be dead though after that it apparently gets really packed. Waiting to find out.
The hand driers in the restrooms are too loud. It scares the kids!
Gay friendly atmosphere, nice place to hang out
This is not a grate place to go on the weekend. Its only gay on Friday night. Parking lot full of cars but 20 people in side. If these people think is a gay night life I fell very bad for them.
The entire staff here is amazing. It’s great to have a lasting LGBTQ+ business still thriving in west Texas.
Great variety of music with their awesome DJs. The updated dance floor makes for a great time and the bartenders were mostly friendly.
Mostly women also younger crowd. This is a gay bar. But everyone is welcome no cover on Saturday.
What I have learned is luxor does not care about its customers. They only care about how much money you spend. So good luck.
Yall should edit ur page it says your open Thursday but your not today is Thursday January 26 2017 if your not open plz tell a sista lmao
