TERRIBLE - worst hair cut ever - do not see Sophia TaylorCame in for a cut and dye. My appt was at 9 and no one was there. After I called, they requested I come back at 1. I spent 4 hours there and was the only person there. My hair came out orange and uneven. I expressed my concerns to which Sophia disagreed. There was no one else in the salon I could talk to. I spend days arguing with Sophia and the owner until they eventually just started ignoring me. Save yourself the time and money, do not come here.

I had the pleasure of visiting Haircut Bar Salon recently and had an absolutely fantastic experience with my barber, Sophia. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed by the friendly staff and cozy atmosphere of the salon.Sophias expertise and passion for her craft were evident right from the start. She took the time to listen to my preferences and offered valuable suggestions that complemented my face shape and hair type. Her attention to detail was exceptional, and I could tell that she genuinely cared about giving me the best possible haircut.Throughout the appointment, Sophias professional and friendly demeanor made me feel comfortable and at ease. She skillfully executed the haircut, and I couldnt be happier with the result! Its not always easy to find a barber who can perfectly translate your ideas into reality, but Sophia exceeded my expectations.Moreover, the salon itself was clean, well-maintained, and had a great ambiance. The staff members were all courteous and efficient, making the entire experience enjoyable from start to finish.If youre in need of a top-notch haircut and a great overall experience, I highly recommend booking an appointment with Sophia at Haircut Bar & Salon. Her talent, professionalism, and personable approach truly set her apart from other barbers in the area.Ill definitely be returning to Sophia in the future. The only lady in the salon did my manicure and pedicure… she needs more experience and also she needs to be available to receive recommendations. I paid $85 for a work that last 4 days since it was not properly. Also the gel enamel they use are not good. I do not recommend this place for nails. They need an experienced nail technician.I didn’t put 1 star Ti help in the new business but … the other reviews talk…. I don’t give much time to this place…

The person who did my hair was very nice but she was the only one in the salon. And I mean only one. She was answering phones, cleaning, washing hair, doing nails. Completely unmanageable for one person. I am giving one star due to the fact that it is completely unfair to make one person work in that way. I came in for highlights, basic highlights and a hair cut and it took 8 hours and I decided not even to get my hair cut because the highlights took 8 hours. More than 4 of those hours was me just waiting around because she had too many things to do. Completely ridiculous. 8 hours and I barely saw her take a drink of water. Just be aware of that before making an appointment. I had an appointment and that was my experience. I am not happy with my hair because she couldn’t give me the time it takes to do a good job. It’s not her fault. It’s the irresponsible part of the owners to have one person alone in a full salon on a Saturday. Call before you go and see if the staffing situation improved. I hate that I wasted 8 1/2 hours at a salon getting the same things I always get, yet it took 6 hours longer and i don’t like it. Plus an extra $50 for conditioner and $50 for toner.

I just got my gel polish , the lady spent one hours and its was the worse nail polish ever . She have any idea about nail or salon services I dint recommend this place the price are hight and the services pretty bad

Went in and asked for a fade. 1 on the sides spiky and short on the top. That’s how I’ve described what I want to a barber for the last 20 years. Lady vegans with dull clippers to buzz my hair way above the fade line. After that she started using scissors to trim the top and insisted that my hair was too short for scissors. Her mannerism and expression showing a face of “I do not want to do this”. At which point I asked her to stop. I explained to her that in 20 years no one has ever cut my hair like that. She insisted that it was a fade. It wasn’t. I told her we were done and she started flipping out at me. She then said “20 dollars” and locked the door. Told me I should call the cops. I told her I was not going to pay for her Messi g up my hair. She insisted and blocked the door. I simply called the cops and walked out of the back exit. Don’t ever go here. Just because she cut hair doesn’t mean I have to pay for it. She messed up my hair. I was not paying for that. Afterwards I went to another barber to fox it and they told me 7 other clients have come from there before asking for the hair to be fixed. DO NOT GO HERE.Update:Salon replied to my review stating that they filed a police report. No need to. I had the cops on the phone when as I walked out of the salon. Letting them know what I was doing, as I had not received the service I requested.To the salon,Y’all are stupid. Y’all called the cops over 5 minutes of someone messing up my hair and then not getting $20 dollars by me for it. Don’t you think the police have better things to do? By the way, the case number does not show on the database so 🖕🖕🖕.

Seriously the worst cut ever, I asked the barber Sophie to watch my moles on my head. The trimmer barely touched my skin. she managed to buzz my head with small tufts of hair on moles, you could barely feel the instrument touching your skin. At the end, I had to the take the trimmer and remove tufts of hair from my moles. I was left with so much hair all over my collar, she hadnt applied the white tape to secure your neck and prevent any hair from getting on your collar and in your shirt especially with this heat/humidity. I hadnt read the previous reviews otherwise I would not have patronized this shop. Men, stay clear from this place. Just awful cut. Never going back!. Seriously, find your self another place. I hadnt read any of reviews and my cut was so bad I simply couldnt let go of this. I did communicate to her I was very unhappy and she continued to smile. Oh well,

It’s empty in there for a reason.You are paying for the interior design of the place. NOT for good well experienced work unless you want them to play in your hair, face, and skin as if you’re a test dummy.I dismissed the bad reviews due to emergency but I am not returning here nor will I recommend this place to anyone.Go somewhere with better reviews, more authentic in house pictures of their work and most definitely with more experience.One of the pictures of the black woman’s coily hair cut is a pic from the internet cause I know the young lady they have on there. I have the video of the day she did that cut years ago and her still photos before the end up on Google. This makes me question if some of the pictures are actually their work.

I went on a last minute emergency with my hair and ROXY was amazing, my hair was falling out due to me over processing my hair and she completely saved whatever hair I had left, like she did CPR my hair no joke. She was patient and kind she knew what to do and then gave me a hair cut that I have receive compliments daily. No one was up for the challenge and she was and did amazing I will never forget this moment. My hair thanks her and I thank her I will only let her though my hair. Thanks Roxy😄

I was in this Salon..I needed a trim.I could not get to my regular salon because of personal matters ...The salon was empty except for Sophie who sat behind a desk...showed her photos of my hair and how I wanted it ...As soon as she began to wash I knew something was not right ...Then began to * cut ...I have never encountered the way she was cutting my hair ..I did ask her what are you doing??.I told her to stop and she attempted to blow dry .My hair was chopped up and my bangs were so short I had to pin them up for months ...I do Not recommend this salon ..She wanted payment, told her no and requested to see her licence and asked DO YOU HAVE A LICENCE? She became combatative and said look it up , the city has it..I did pay half ....I just wanted out of there !..She also made a racist remark when beginning to cut...I do not want to post that here ...Just terrible. I had to write this review, things are tough now for many , I dont want anyone else to experience this .Sophie should not be cutting hair or doing any of the services offered .

Horrible experience. First haicut was not blended well. Second time going in to hopefully get it fixed... completely massacred my hair. I paid $42. Then $30 at another barber to fix the damage. Thank God they were able to! The lady spoke no English. 2nd time there wasnt even the front desk help to communicate.

My experience was terrible! 😭 i when there to do my eyebrows and the girl that did i think is learning, she did the wax two times and every place. Make my eyebrows tiny and one bigger that the other. I was so shocked that they saw me not felling good and made me pay 20 for that TERRIBLE WORK! I left the salon crying and with wax on my hair! And the only thing that they say was “ DONT CRY HAIR GROWS” 😓😓

The tech not keep the appointment, resign to another tech I was there from 2-9 (I was the only person in there) and my nails are horrible I was sent home with wet Gel polish and did not get the style I wanted, the technique was not good and its for my birthday definitely not giving birthday she was nice but the service is a NO! Im going back in the morning to get the nails off and a refund.

Sophia did a great job today (with what remaining hair I have). She made it short & clean. Just what the doctor ordered!

Horrible! I was getting my hair cut and one of Taylor’s co-worker cam in snd Taylor said,” I’m going to need your help over her!” I responded, excuse me do you know what you’re doing? Do you know how to cut hair?” She said,” oh of course.” I went home and couldn’t believe how uneven my hair was… I went back the next day and when I complained she said, “ that’s what you asked for” I did not and asked her to fix it . She took a little off and I tipped her( feeling bad) . This was the end of March beginning of April and still waiting to have it grow a little before I go get it fixed to what I want. Thank god I’m retired because it has looked horrible and very noticeable , one side has uneven pieces various lengths and the other has uneven as well!Too bad it looks like a beautiful place but don’t be fooled! It’s really a shame. I’m not convinced that she went to school for hairdressers 🤷‍♀️

Professional hair stylists. Sophia did a wonderful job in the short time I was there, and I plan to come again the next time I need a haircut. Quick work with little explanation needed.

1. There’s only 2 workers at the location2. I went for a silk press and she did a terrible job properly combing through my hair3. She said she’ll trim my end just to do a terrible job at that as well and never used heat protection in my hair when using the flat iron4. I watched her cut a guys hair and did a bad job he only pretended to like it to not make her feel upset since she was so confident she did a good job so I don’t know why I even proceeded thinking my hair will be different since I am a woman and he was a guy.. so I was thinking she was gonna do better on me than him since she’s a woman as well but nope I was failedShe was nice and sweet don’t get me wrong but she has no true or real experience…. Just to charge 120 for a silk press that wasn’t even a silk press she couldn’t even do right 🤦🏽‍♀️ she was rushing the whole time because she had to go pack up for a vacation saying she’s closing the shop early when it wasn’t even near the closing time I’ve seen 😑 I literally had to fix up my own hair once I got homeThe owner always comments under people reviews saying their a liar but why would I lie about watching you not properly care for my hair and no you didn’t use heat protection so your the liar.

Had eyebrow threading and waxing done. Place is very clean, staff super pleasant. I am very happy to have found a great place so close to my home. Extremely happy I will be back for a mani and pedi.

My stylist Shavon is the best at it. The salon is nice and has a relaxing environment.

Great place! Super luxurious, brand new equipment and chairs and friendly barber. Wasn’t busy in the afternoon got seated right away.

This salon is super clean and the owner pays very close attention to detail. This is a hidden gem in the area, glad to have found it.
