I have been coming to this location for several years now and with the rare exception have had great massages. Next time i am going to get the name for my favorite front desk staff as she always gives her honest opinion as to who gives the best massages based on your specific needs, which in my case is deep tissue. That is how I came to Ryan. He is the best, very respectful, professional, and gives an amazing massage. I was hesitant to leave a review only because he’s hard enough to get an appointment with so wanted to keep him my secret.

I will not become a member. The massage was fine but expensive and the locations policy was not clear. I thought I signed up for a $113 90-minute massage. 5 hours before the massage, I received a text telling me about the 24-hr cancellation policy of $188, the actual full cost of the massage. Apparantly, the $113 was an introductory rate given only to new members. (I was a member nearly 10 years ago in a different city.) I tried to discuss what happened with the locations staff to no understanding. It was too late to cancel the massage so I was in for $228 ($188+tip). OK, they got me. But never again.

My mom (a member) made an appointment for us for her birthday. She requested two 90 minute massages and a 60 minute facial for both of us. My facial was great and relaxing! My massage, however, was miserable. I told the staff several times that I was pregnant and obviously needed a prenatal massage. The masseuse (Marge) insisted that I lay on my back and I had to reiterate multiple times I was more comfortable on my side. She had a HORRIBLE cold and was coughing and wheezing on me the entire massage. In this line of work when you’re sick I think you should probably stay home. I am starting to feel sick today and I am very upset as it was something preventable. The massage started at 12:10 and ended at 12:50 so what was supposed to be a 90 minute massage ended up being 40 minutes. She rushed out of the room and didnt give any further instructions. I was considering becoming a member but I definitely will not be after this experience.

Beverly will leave your skin glowing!! Since having my second child a couple years ago my skin has been very sensitive and reactive. Beverly’s facial was gentle yet effective. After an hour session, I literally felt like a brand new woman. my skin was hydrated and lifted. My toddler was with me the entire time and she was very patient and caring through the process. Highly recommend her services and already booked another session in 5 weeks!! Thank you :) Crystal

Let me start by saying that I have visited many different spas and received various facial and massage treatments. I had a facial with Beverlee today and I was very impressed! I have to say she is the best esthetician and I received the best facial from her today ! She literally has hands of an angel and her technique , knowledge and passion truly is evident in her work . Trust me you will not leave disappointed!

My last massage was awesome. It was with Kirk and he had an awesome ice breaker by introducing himself as Kirk like Kirkland and even had a shirt that said it. What a great way to be remembered and it made me laugh and more comfortable. Please make sure to let Kirk know he is doing a great job and I love his style of customer service. Dear Massage Envy Owner,My name is Doreen Haas. I am writing about my horrible experience at Massage Envy in Pompano Beach. It had to be the worst spa experience ever. On June 23rd, around 1pm, my mom and I went to Massage Envy while on our vacation. We just wanted some tranquility. We booked over the phone, and before coming in, I had to give my credit card and ID information to the front desk person via phone call. Aaron (sp),front desk associate, never told me that they would be charging my card, just said we keep it on “FILE”. Massage Envy’s policy is that a full body massage for an hour and for first-timers is $75. At 12:10pm, I received a phone call from Aaron asking us to come in at 1:15pm instead of 1:00pm because the therapist was running late. We arrived at 1pm. When we arrived, Aaron had us fill out our computer forms. At 1:15pm,I went in for my appointment and no one must have explained to him that they called on his behalf and asked me to come 15 minutes late so he only gave me 1/2 hour massage because he thought I was late. He never discussed this will me. Meanwhile my mom was sitting in the waiting room until 1:30pm. Her therapist left the room 30 minutes in and only said he had an emergency but never guided her what to do. Dee Dee, the manager, was very rude but she said she would charge us $44 each for our massages.REMEMBER THAT CARD on file. Well, I have numerous unauthorized charges made by Dee Dee made on my credit card. I called the spa this morning and spoke with Aaron and he hung up on me. I called back and he hung up on me again. I was in tears. I wanted contact information for the owner because this was not relaxing or peaceful.

Worst customer service experience. I waited over an hour on my first visit due to an employee not checking me in correctly.My massage with Vanessa was amazing so I decided to sign up for the membership.Before leaving I scheduled another massage with Vanessa for one month later.For the next several weeks I was barraged with text messages about openings.Yesterday morning after getting another text I realized I did not recall getting a confirmation of my massage with Vanessa for that afternoon.I called the location and was told I was not on the schedule and that I had canceled an appointment for June 5th which was not true. Nor did I receive text confirmation for that date.I asked to speak with manager.Today I received a call from a woman who identified herself as the manager. She was extremely abrupt from the very first words out of her mouth.When I tried to explain my disenchantment with the events, she started and continued to talk over me. I told her I was at work and asked her to please allow me to speak and she continued to talk over me. I told her to just cancel and do not charge my card the (first) monthly fee, she said your not canceling because your in a contract.My friend who referred me and a staff member both have told me how unorganized this location is. I truly don’t understand how it can be that difficult to set up appointments correctly and how these people keep their jobs with so many mistakes and their rudeness.One thing is for sure I will never step foot in there again and will do whatever is necessary to cancel my membership!6/17/2024I have now called 3 times and emailed 3 times with no response.

Was the worse massage experience I’ve had and I’ve been to numerous salons in several states. My daughter and I booked 2 one hour massages. My therapist had a family emergency and had to leave after a half hour. I knew that was out of his control but I was left in a dark room with no instructions. When I finally left the room a therapist in the hallway was annoyed because I didn’t know way out. When I got to front desk they charged me for half hour massage instead of taking 50% off. I only got half a massage - neck and back. They also called and asked us to arrive at 1:15 instead of our scheduled time of 1:00. I still had to wait an additional 15 minutes. They accused my daughter of being late, only gave her half hour massage and charged her for full hour. We were on vacation at the time. When we got home she tried calling them when she saw the charges on her card. They were rude and hung up on her twice. Very unprofessional and rude. Will never go back to that facility or any other if that’s how they are trained to treat their customers

On June 20th, around 3:45-4pm, my best friend and I went to Massage Envy for our birthdays, in search of some peace and tranquility, and to appreciate another year of life. We booked over the phone, and before coming in, we had to give our credit card and ID information to the front desk person via phone call. The manager and/or front desk associate never asked us which massage or length of massage we would like to receive, considering this was our first time ever coming to Massage Envy. Before coming, we researched the prices for a full body massage for an hour and for first-timers ($75 + tip). We were never told the price from the manager nor front desk associate during the check-in process. After completing the massage, the manager informed us that our total each would be $125. We then showed her the research we saw on Massage Envys website. She continued to say that $75 is only for Massage Envy members, which we understood but hoped for a forewarning before the massage. Upon doing more research and speaking to this location (Pompano Beach) and another location (Deerfield Beach), we were informed that for first-timers visiting Massage Envy, we shouldve been charged $75 each and that a Pompano Beach associate wasnt sure why [their] manager charged us $125. We are not sure why we were subjected to such weird and uncomfortable service by the manager and why she has lied about telling us the price beforehand. As of today, we were called back by this manager for her to tell us that she did inform us of this price before the massage. However, if she did inform us before the massage, we wouldnt have asked right before paying why the total wasnt going to be $75. We tried to resolve this without leaving this review, but the manager isnt trying to fix anything, so we hope the owner or higher ups are aware of what is going on. Thank you to the Deerfield location for being extremely helpful throughout this situation.

Claudia did an amazing job with loosening up extremely tight muscles Ive been experiencing lately that were even radiating pain down my sciatica and shoulders to elbows. She listened and asked often if pressure was ok especially in my lumbar regions where I have herniated disc injuries. As a mom myself it was so very inspiring to hear shes in school on her way to becoming a doctor at this same chapter in her life so I wish her the best and you really are in great knowledgeable hands when it comes to understanding the body and pain and how to give a therapeutic massage. I walked out pain free and relaxed... great experience!

As a customer, I feel like I’m not really happy overall for my membership for the cost. Also don’t like their scheduling policies - not very forgiving. customer service is focused on nickel and diming you verses a positive customer experience. And I’m not even talking about the massages. I do like my massage person I go to - he is a good person - but the business. Shady.

Attention franchise owner!Gratuity is something given voluntarily or beyond obligation for a service. You should not train your staff to belittle customers or berate them if they dont tip YOUR recommended amount.Your policy has resulted in a zero tip for a 60 minute couples massage. We are both massage envy members for 4+ years and have never been treated so poorly by a location. This complaint is not against the masseuse, please understand that we will never patron your location again. Your business decision has proved to be a disservice to all the great massage therapist that work at this location. We are not the only customers that have been told to tip more, due to your policy. Absolutely ridiculous.

Great customer service.I scheduled online then had to change the time. The supervisor did an amazing job! She did so many extra things just so I was comfortable and relaxed. She treated my daughter like a princess.I’m still waiting to get my massage done. But am already so pleased with the supervisor that I had to come here before my massage!!Thank you so much!

I would give them a 5 because Maxine the therapist is amazing . I had my membership and cancelled in July because there were mistakes made that were never adjusted in my account and I lost a couple of credits . The turnover is crazy there and no one knew how to correct my issue so I cancelled . I just turned 60 and was given a $200 gift card to massage envy so I’m back . The experience with front staff once again not great because they are all new and don’t know much . One girl was helping a client fill out the medical form in the quiet room asking loudly the questions . No privacy and not quiet . Manager seems very busy and overwhelmed .I went yesterday for a 90 min massage . I added the hot stones . I was informed the morning off to please come half hour later so that therapist can have a break since she was overbooked ? Therapist Claudia is amazing , front desk continues to be an issue . Manager never available . I am trying to cancel my membership and no one seems to be able to help except manager . I’ve left messages and she or he doesn’t call back . They make it impossible to close an account . Therapists are great the problem with this office is the front staff and management .

The check in process was horrible. The person who assisted with our check in was rude, condescending, abrupt, accusational and completely inappropriate. Customer service skills are absolutely lacking.Our service technicians were excellent. Took great care of my daughter in her first facial-made her feel comfortable, relaxed and she really enjoyed the service. My massage was as expected.

I had the worst experience here due to the manager at the front desk. I wanted to come to massage envy for a first time professional massage on my birthday. I initially went to the Deerfield location but they referred me and my friend to the pompano location as it was much bigger and could take me and my friend since Deerfield could only take one of us. We booked over the phone 10 minutes prior over the phone and was never told the price. We checked online and it showed $75 clearly for first time non members. The manager charged me and my friend $125. You can even check on camera where I turned my camera at her and asked shockingly isnt it supposed to be $75. After sharing my experience to a couple of people someone who actually works at massage envy told me that I should have been charged $75. I just want my partial refund back because I felt scammed then and even more so now. I called the location after finding that out and was told by a front desk staff that indeed i was suppose to be charged $75. I even called Deerfield location and same thing. Why cant the manager admit that she is wrong and give me and my friend our partial refund?

I wish I could leave separate reviews for my esthetician and massage therapist because they deserve 5 stars. However, as a member for almost 7 years, I am canceling my membership due to the lack of professionalism and customer service.Last week, I scheduled a facial and called the day before to confirm how many credits it would require, as it had been over a year since my last similar treatment. The front desk staff assured me it would cost only one credit.After my facial, when I went to check out and tip, I was informed that it actually cost two credits. I explained the situation, and the front desk staff took my details, promising that the manager would call me the next day.A week passed with no contact, so I called and explained the issue again. During the conversation, the manager repeatedly told me, You have gotten this treatment before. You should have known how many credits. I clarified that it had been over a year, which is why I called for confirmation, and that I would have canceled if I had been informed correctly.The manager was rude and defensive, stating she needed to consult a higher-up and would get back to me on Monday. I have yet to receive a call.Additionally, I canceled my massage for this Sunday until this issue is resolved. Despite receiving confirmation of the cancellation, I got a call the next day informing me that my massage therapist couldnt make the appointment and I needed to reschedule. Clearly, the appointment was never actually canceled.There are significant gaps and mistakes made by the front desk staff, which is unacceptable and easily rectifiable with proper management. Above all the manager, D is rude, unprofessional and needs a lesson on business acumen. The easy solution would have been to apologize for the situation, assured me the front desk staff would be altered that the information they gave was inaccurate so it won’t happen again and allowed me a refund or my next facial on the house. Above all else at least call me back when you say you are going to.

Not a bad location (C+). Worth using a membership. Just not on level with other branches. I used this one with my wife.PROS: 4-star+Sincere and kind workers.+Can’t beat the $ per value using this nation wide system. I can find a ME anywhere in the country.+Easy booking and staff wants to serve.+Safe and uncreapy. I know the integrity of the place will remain true regardless of location. I’ve used ME all over the country.CONS compared to other ME locations: 2.5-star+Climate control is bad. Hot and Humid.+The massage therapist looked forward to her last appointment. Not the greatest vibe although sincere.+This is likely frustrating for the company but I have a hard time expressing dislike on the table. Some therapists just know if something is working or not. Mine seemed unaware.+Did not seem to read my extensive notes about joints needing focus (elbow, shoulder etc). Even when I stated it, she moved on quickly.+I dislike hot towel. Mine didn’t ask, just presumed. The room was uncomfortable and the towel made it worse.+Some therapists take time and try to give an extra minute or two. Mine went 70min for a 90/80min. She said she was looking forward to finishing up.Despite these CONS I would give them another go in the future. They were good conversationalists.

Was a member here on and off for years and was always pleasant. My wife bought me a massage package last week and scheduled me and I showed up and the manager told me I was cancelled. She claimed to text and call. We showed her our empty call log and the manager still blamed us instead of remedying the situation. Asked for a refund and she wouldn’t do that either. I’d go to another Massage Envy but not this location again with current staff.

Worst massage i ever received. The masseur was inconsistent with his strokes. Long fingernails hurt my back. Half way through the massage, he started to tell me about a dream he had!So weird!The place is dirty and even has wholes in the walls!No water to drink after, they gave me a small cup of sink water!UGH!Save your money, do not go to this place!

I never take the time to do this but I dont think I have had a facial with such a dedicated worker. You can feel she knows what she does and also likes it. You can feel her passion. Update 2024: Have attempted to cancel multiple times. Finally had a manager call me back and said the reason they never canceled was because it was in my wifes name... thats not how they sold it to me. And up until now I could do anything with my wifes account until it came down to canceling yet it was my money and my credit card.. the manager Dee who I spoke with was very rude. Her attitude came out strong and was very unprofessional. Ive gone through every hoop possible to get this done and have been the most patient. Please be aware of their predatory tactics. Ill be filing a complaint with the BBB and hope to resolve this issue( This business is rated as an F with the BBB stay away). The wife and I finally received the form theyve spoken about every time Ive called in to attempt to cancel and have been told and assured it was being done. It never was. Im 3 days away from being charged again and this process takes 10 days. Please learn from my experience. Reading the comments below there is obviously a trend here especially with the manager Dees actions, attitude, and customer service. My experience seems to be a common practice and I wish I wouldve been more thorough. This is not okay. This is a blatant scam and needs and will be investigated.Original review 2023: Came in back in May to get my wife a package for mothers Day. I did a massage as well, which felt wasted as I told the staff I wanted someone who could do a firm massage. The massage therapist they assigned gave a light to almost medium massage. During I asked if I could reschedule as I thought their was a Mis understanding.. I was told to tell the front after. Long story short. Its May, and I never went back. Although Ive paid for numerous sessions, still in my account, I decided to give them a second shot. (Never left a bad review after my first experience either btw, but this is insulting.) I made an appointment Wednesday was told because of my experience they would make an exception to transfer 2 massages from my wifes account (that I pay for) to mine I would however need to pay a 10$ fee for each. 20$ No problem. Scheduled my appointments for my wife and I /2 - 90-minute sessions for our valentines. I was told Id receive a phone call the day before my massage as they needed a Managers override to do this. Call came the day before, and I was told bluntly from the beginning of the call that they couldnt do that. Unfortunately off principle I had to tell my wife that the place I got her these massages from Mothers Day until now, we would have to cancel and go to a different location. You guys ruined my plans, and Id be a fool to allow this to happen again. I am going to the other locations and will be giving my too months notice here.Beware, this is a franchise.. I was told twice by the manager. The manager felt like she did me a favor, waiving the fee to transfer a massage. I told her Id rather pay and go to another location it was at that point she felt she won and said I have to do it even if you go somewhere else, we are a franchiseBottom line. There are a few locations around the area that are a short drive away. I can tell you that this was my own personal experience.

The place fell off. They use to be such a therapeutic environment but now they just looking money hungry. Not only have the membership price went up but tips are mandatory whether you enjoyed your service or not. I literally was screaming in pain during my massage yesterday and my therapist ignored it and continued with the same pressure. Once I was heading out and let them know I wasn’t going to tip, the front desk told me it was mandatory to tip 10% (12.50) I was appalled not only did I go through a horrific experience but I had to tip on top of it. I cancelled my membership today!

Called to make an appt for severe back pain at 11:18am without the company stating I would be charged or anything to explain any sort of cancellation policy, or anything to ask about my severe pain to even check if someone can work on me with such bad pain. I then called to move the appt less than 2 hours later as I physically had to go to URGENT CARE (with full doctors note even for further poor management choices, they stated I had to pay. I’m sorry but without any notice of policy by the location and with physically being at a doctor for the moving of an appt is insane to me. Will not ever go to another massage envy with this experience!!! They probably would have injured me more as they only care about money here, not anyone’s well-being, clearly.

First off, the therapist are great and professional. Maxine and Stephanie are wonderful. My problem is with the staff...more specifically, DEE. She should be made to take a workshop on customer relations. She was rude and off handed with me. I was automatically renewed for a membership I did not want. I bought a package of 6 sessions and was very CLEAR that I did NOT want a membership. I was told not to worry. I was just purchasing 6 sessions. Well after 6 months I get a charge on my CC for a session. I called and asked what the charge was for. I was told it renews every six months. Well, no one told me that when I bought the package and I never got a heads up that this was going to happen. I guess the company pressures the staff to sell memberships, something I do not want. I told Dee that they need to be more transparent and that what they do is dishonest. They have lost me as a customer. I wont do business with dishonest companies and I will definitely let my friends know.

Unfortunately, my Massage Envy massage therapist moved away suddenly. She was exceptional so when they recommended a new therapist I was concerned. Would it be right for me? Well, I would like to share that Rebecca did an amazing job. If you like deep tissue, she is the one!! She was super friendly and asked questions and listened to the answers!! Though I will always miss Mey, I am grateful to have Rebecca as the next great therapist at Massage Envy!!

The 5 stars go to Adreal. I would have liked to have given it to all the staff but.....I couldnt because while I was getting my massage and supposedly a quiet serene setting it wasnt because of all the noise I heard in the hallway and the room next to me. It was so loud that I couldnt get the full relaxing experience. There was no consideration there whatsoever.

This is truly one of the worst massages that I have ever had in my life. Nothing about it was relaxing, I got a massage from Stephanie. She did not speak to me about the service like I was told she would. The room is freezing, the lights were barely dimmed, and every time she would undo the towel she would pull it out from beneath me very aggressive and let my body slam onto the table. Definitely would not recommend.

The overall experience was great. I tried to book a facial online and a massage ended up being booked. I found this out when I got to the spa. The manager was able to accommodate a change and switched it to a facial. I ended up having a facial with Jamie who was excellent. Next time I’m in Pompano Beach I’ll schedule with Jamie again.

I absolutely love this location. My massage therapist Vanessa does the BEST deep tissue massages. I always leave feeling like a new person. I work a job that is very strenuous on the body and she works out all the knots so that I can move. The front desk is very friendly and helpful. All the employees assisted me when my car battery died and I needed some help. I will definitely be back !

Im so disappointed..the front desk doesnt know customer service.. massage I could have done myself..I wanted a hour but only got 45 min..carpets in the place were filthy..Ill never go back to that location.. zero stars

My massage experience at ME was exceptional due to my therapist Maxine. She is top notch, very professional and courteous. She introduced herself with me and communicated with me throughout the entire time while using a lowered tone of voice to not disturb me or anyone else. The $20 tip that I gave was the most I could give at the time but if I had $100 of disposable money on me, I would surely give that to her. Maxine was excellent and I can tell that she enjoys what she does.

The front desk and customer service were great and super friendly. However the massage itself was very underwhelming. I specially mentioned that I had sciatica (on my right side). They suggested a muscle therapy or hot stone. I choose the muscle therapy. I guess I should have confirmed that it would be applied where I mentioned before selecting that option because it was only used on my back, not along the sciatic nerve at all. The massage itself started late and but still ended at 10 til. I told the massage therapist again that I had sciatica specifically on my right side, my shin and ankle were particularly bothering me lately. However, the massage was mainly focused on my shoulders. After my massage, I was a bit frustrated. For the late start, the manager did refund the $10 muscle treatment so that was nice, and also fixed the charging/booking error when I was charged for a massage when it should’ve been a free credit from a member. Overall, friendly and helpful service but my massage was very mediocre.

I am a customer with massage envy for the past five years (Aventura location) and while visiting a family in Pompano Beach I decided to book a 60 minutes massage.My therapist Kirk was unpleasant and he treated me very poorly. On top of it he started my therapy at 7:08 and finished by 7:45 - for sure less than an hour!I called and complained and the manager never called me back ! What a poor customer service ! No wonders why they have 2 1/2 stars on yelp

This is my second time being with the new therapist named Michael. He really is amazing. Before my prior visit I was thinking about leaving the location but Micheal has completely turned my experience around. Micheal gets a five star.Im doing a four star only because I had to be in a room one for my massage. Room is right behind the front desk and the managers office. So in room one you get all the noise from the check-in, checkout process and the office. Other than that everything was great.

Its so rare I have an all around 5 star experience. They never give you the full 50 minutes you pay for. I take a picture of my clock the minute they start and the minute they finish. I always lose 5-10 minutes of my time because im guessing they fall behind with other clientsThe front desk and management always act like they dont know what to do or what to say. They have messed up my appointments several times. Never seem to care about my time shortages or anything for that matter. I try different locations but they are all the same. Im patiently waiting to end my membership here when the year is up.

After 15+ years of patronage my fiancé and I have cancelled our memberships. The extremely poor level of front desk service and issues with AC as well as other items compelled us to choose another massage center. The owner has not called after several voice messages and email. Total disregard of customer service and follow-up. Management Arrogance is prevalent. I would not recommend this location nor Massage Envy as a whole. The only regret is losing our wonderful therapist, Megan. Look elsewhere is all I can say. To the owner, shame on you for your lack of attention.

My massage was awful . I frequently get them that was hands down the worst. I was having a 90 minute massage which we all know we never want it to end and it’s like he didn’t even know what to do. He was like holding my head and neck so I just said I was done and I think I had 12 minutes left then he did a little bit on my shoulders and I just said you know, forget it and I finished early. I have been a massage envy member for years but finally canceled due to this location. The franchise owner oversees the pompano beach and Hillsboro Deerfield locations. The front desk at the pompano location has high turnover and even with new staff the scheduling is a mess. I gave a 2 because I have had great massage therapists, two being Megan and Hiro. But it doesn’t help the fact that they change appointment times without calling the client and then act like you are in the wrong when you arrive at your originally scheduled time, even showing them that you have the original email confirmation to prove your time. They call a day in advance to confirm your appointment but are not clear if they took it upon themselves to change the appointment time. Once it was due to throwing a goodbye party for a front desk employee. I had three credits to use post cancellation and it happened again! My massage was running 15 minutes behind due to them pushing a previous clients appointment back and no one said anything until the massage therapist was late grabbing me from the waiting room. I should have left right there and then because the massage with a new therapist was not worth it. I will drive to the Ft. Lauderdale location to use my final credit then go back to this location.

At first impression I was really hoping this place would hit the mark. But truthfully, it was just an okay massage and customer service. To sum things up I told the masaje that my arm was a focus point and shoulder. However, he didn’t even focus on it, instead just my shoulder. I felt uncomfortable and it just got worst as the massage went on. The massage had really bad breath and I swear I smelled a liquor smell. I would not recommend for the price it felt like a massage from the mall.

I went to the Massage Envy on South Federal highway in Pompano last night when my appointment was canceled in Hillsboro because the person who gives me massages there had to go home sick. I arrived in time and met Margaret who led me into the massage room in Pompano. She gave me a wonderful massage for an hour. She was a lot stronger than I thought she would be and I like a deep tissue type of massage which is more than capable of doing. I gave her a nice tip and the people at the front desk were very courteous and polite and friendly. Ive only been there this once but for this particular experience, I would give them five stars!

Not the best experience this visit. They sold my girlfriend an I on extra add ons. They did not inform us the therapist that was assigned to us. Could not perform cupping. Then I paid for an extra aromatherapy oil. Since I was in so much pain. Did not receive that. I don’t even think our message techs even read what area that were concerning us and what was added for treatment. My tech was in such a rush massaging me. Like I paid for an hour. So no matter what the hour was still going to pass. I felt very rushed and not relaxed at all. When we told the front desk we didn’t receive what she sold us. All she said was let me get you another appointment to make sure we have the add ons. I also think $125 for an hour is a bit over priced. Especially if your massage therapist are not going to make you feel relaxed.

Front desk staff is always friendly and welcoming. Youre greeted with a smile. My therapist on this visit was Hiro and he was excellent! I got the 20-min assisted stretch pkg, followed with a 60-min massage. Never tried the stretch option before, but will definitely book it again. Hiro was very patient and made sure the stretching portion was at appropriate levels. The massage was great and Hiro periodically checked to make sure he wasnt pressing too hard. Highly recommend.

I booked a facial and arrived 10 mins early. I needed to use the restroom and their restroom was locked from the inside and they didn’t know how to open it. By the time of my appointment, the esthetician was not ready. After waiting 15 more mins and not a single person checked in. I asked the front desk and the supervisor says the therapist is running very late and she doesn’t know why. Mind you, no apologies and no sense of responsibility for the circumstances. Do yourself a favor and go to ANY other Massage Envy. The brand itself has merit and I enjoy massages I get when I visit other locations but this location is HORRIBLE. They canceled on my husband and never call him to tell him, he showed up and said oh your canceled without another option. They have a rude staff, weirdest massage i’ve ever experienced and to boot, after the pandemic I had too many sessions built up and paused my membership where they were supposed to charge me $15/ month to keep the sessions I already paid for, then the actual charge came out to be $20 with no notice of change or explanation. Then last month they decided to just go back to charging me for more new sessions without my consent at $70/session. Save yourself a whole lot of issues and go someplace else. They are unprofessional and whomever is doing their books is fraudulently charging accounts hoping they can get away with it to make their numbers look good. If you do decide to have a membership here, be sure to check your credit card statement.

I had the misfortune of signing up for a membership at Massage Envy, and I cannot stress enough how much of a scam it turned out to be. If youre considering getting a membership there, I strongly advise against it. The whole process has been a nightmare, and I have been trying to cancel my membership since December with no success.Firstly, the difficulty in canceling the membership is beyond frustrating. The manager is never available, and whenever I inquire about cancelation, they are conveniently absent. It seems they have perfected the art of avoiding cancellation requests. Furthermore, the forms required for cancellation take an exorbitantly long time to process, leaving you stuck in a membership you no longer want.To add insult to injury, the lack of clear communication and missing information is appalling. I was informed by the staff that they had frozen my account and I could still use the remaining credit. However, I was never informed that it would take a staggering two months to unfreeze the account. This left me with additional charges and an extended period of frustration.I have paid for almost a year of membership but have only managed to utilize it twice. This speaks volumes about the poor value for money at Massage Envy. It feels like a complete waste of hard-earned cash, and I cannot emphasize enough how disappointed I am.Overall, I strongly discourage anyone from joining Massage Envy, particularly their membership program. It seems like once youre in, theres no way out. The companys lack of transparency, unresponsive management, and drawn-out cancellation process make it clear that they prioritize locking customers into long-term commitments rather than providing quality service.Save yourself the trouble, headaches, and financial burden by avoiding Massage Envys memberships at all costs. There are plenty of other reputable spas and wellness centers that offer better customer service and fairer terms. Dont fall into the trap of this deceptive and frustrating membership scheme.

You will be CHARGED the full amount, without being given credit, nor a partial refund, or even a cancellation fee. Nope, these crooks will charge you the FULL amount for a massage you will never get. The owner, Jorge Ramos, is rude, aggressive, spoke over me, and raised his voice at me. I have been a member for 6 years and usually go to a different location. The wrong therapist took me back, as there happened to be two Jillian’s booked at the same time. I had specifically requested someone who can do super deep massages. About 5-10 minutes into the massage someone knocked on the door and informed me that the therapist made a mistake. They asked me if I was okay I said yes but I needed the massage to have more pressure. The person said okay and to continue the session. This therapist was clearly new and did not have the strength to do deep pressure. When I went to speak to the manager he was rude and told me he would add a complimentary enhancement to my next massage. I said that was not enough and he then said he would give me a free 30 minutes. I explained that I thought I should get a complimentary 60 minute massage because of THEIR mistake. He told me that this was not possible. He suggested I not tip the therapist and get the extra 30 minutes. I told him that was absurd and that I would be tipping. He then told me that he could not give me a massage because it meant not paying his employee. I told him the two were not mutually exclusive. He said I should have stopped the massage when they knocked on the door since I didn’t enjoy what the therapist was doing, I said that was not fair to ask of the client and that would be uncomfortable and rude to the therapist. I then asked if he could upgrade two 60 minute massages to 90 minutes since I will be coming to this location for a few months while I renovate my condo in Miami. He said no. He did not try to rectify THEIR mistake and raised his voice at me. HE WAS RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL, and frankly SCARY because of how angry he got. I will certainly never go back to this location and am seriously considering cancelling my membership. He has many bad reviews and if massage envy is willing to have this man represent them, then I want no part of it.

I only used 2 credits and am getting text messages and calls that my membership is suspended. So what????? If you dont use 1 credit each month, after 6mnths its void? They just keep that money? They have decided to ignore repeated emails, texts, and letters attempting to cancel the membership that isn’t worth it because the massage therapists here are not treated well and are miserable. I had frequent issues with scheduling and the attitude of the staff here. They are very pushy for the upsale, especially for the “add ons” which places a level of annoyance in something that should be relaxing.

Margarete did my massage and everything went well, but when I came out the lady at the front desk was very rude. There was a customer at the counter who stated she was setting up appointments for the whole month. She told the front desk employee to check me out, because it was going to be a while. The employee said no she would finish setting up her appointments first. I stood there waiting and then I asked for an envelope so I could put my tip in it. She never acknowledged me at all. She gives me an envelope with an attitude and then I have to ask for a pen. Margarete comes out and I give her the envelope and she ask if I needed anything. I tell her I still need to check out. The lady says I haven’t checked her out yet(even thou I already said that). Margarete says sorry to the lady and goes into the back. Still standing there another customer comes in and she welcomes home with not problem. At this point I am upset, because she asked him if he has an appointment and tells the lady just a moment and then proceeded to check him in. I interrupted and tell her I need to leave. I said I do not owe anything, because I am using a member massage. She then tells me that I had to wait, because she was checking the lady out and I said this nice lady told you to check me out first, because she knew she was going to take awhile and you refused. You then acknowledge and get ready to check in this man who just walked in and not once said anything to me at all. I told her I was leaving and she finally ask my name. I gave her my first name and left. I will NEVER come to this location again in my life!!! Absolutely RUDE!!!!

If I could give 0 stars I would. First of all, the place is filthy. There was an “unknown white substance” on the blanket on my massage bed, for starters. The front desk woman is VERY nice, so that’s the only positive. When I registered, I received a text telling me to stay in my car until I get another text. My appointment was at 7 PM and it was 6:57 PM and I still had no text message telling me to come inside. When I went inside, my provider was waiting on me and visibly frustrated. I had to go to the restroom first, but there are two stalls. One was being cleaned and the other was occupied by what turned out to be an employee taking a number two. When I got into the room, it was bizarre. I’ve already mentioned there was something on the blanket, but I also saw a personal fan sitting on top of the sink pointed in the direction of the bed. The first thing the provider told me is that I am her last one and she’s ready to go home. From there it all went further downhill. It was the worst massage I’ve ever had. Marguerite slathered an ABSURD amount of oil all over me, but legit no massaging went on. It was like paying someone to wipe you down in oil. She overstretched my neck and when she asked if I like that, I said no, and she spent time TELLING ME how good it is and asking why I don’t like it. She was heavy sighing the whole time, while the FAN RAN in the corner, so no element of relaxation was to be had. The crowning point was at the end when Marguerite legit threw a hot towel on my back to wipe MYSELF DOWN after a gallon of oil, then left the room. Now usually at other Massage Envy’s, The provider is waiting for you with water when you walk out. Marguerite had already been long gone by the time I went to the front. Probably because I had to use every sheet on the massage pad to try to get some of the oil off me. Overall, the worst experience I’ve ever had with a masseuse. A garbage massage at a filthy place and I will never step foot in there again!

I came to relax and left with my back in pain and when I expressed that to the attendant checking me out, it went ignored.I really enjoyed my first massage at this location with Mitch, but he was unavailable so they reassigned me with someone else who came off very arrogant. As he’s massaging me, anything I’d ask him his response would be “that’s already in my routine, but okay”. I wanted to give him a chance but by the time I really was over it, 20-30 min had passed.

I have a membership with massage envy I had open it at the Hillsboro location, they took the membership on the 10th of July already cause they get it every 9th in a month, Monday I saw that I was charge 65$ for massage at the pompano beach location and I usually go to the Hillsboro location,while I was at the hospital with my brother, I called them on Tuesday and nobody do nothing about it the lady just said that I just have to talk to the manager till now they never call. It’s not safe for people to have there card with these people.

If you reading this, please go somewhere else where people will actually care for you and keep you as a customer vs trying to get your money. This Massage Envy has not been a good experience for me at all. I will not be returning here. Had an unfortunate emergency, and Massage Envy has a convenient 24-hour non-cancellation policy which basically means no matter what happens to you, even in an EMERGENCY, you will be CHARGED the full amount, in my case $120 WITHOUT any course of them trying to help or even forward your charge as credit ahead, or even partial refund. They dont charge you a cancellation fee, they charge you for the FULL amount for a massage you will never get. But they were certainly ready and willing to set up another appointment while I was on the phone with them. And when I kept explaining that I had a dire emergency I could not get out of, they basically tried to get me off the phone when I called to cancel and let my appointment be charged. All they could repeat and keep telling me was that they have a policy and no matter what I said, it was clear they do not care about their customers, more than they care about getting their money.

Horrible! Beware Senior citizens! My husband and I were members for 4 years at this pompano location. It was so hard to get a massage appointment because they lost all of their therapists when it changed owners . Then they took my husbands 6 services that he had paid for in full right after covid because he had put a stop on his account to catch up and use them. We both had paid our membership as a courtesy through covid but that didn’t matter. This should be against the law to just take your customers money. I am still a member trying to use up my services so they don’t take mine too but again hard to get a good therapist. With all the wonderful massage therapists in the Fort Lauderdale area there is no need to be a member here and lose your money like so many have. They have even raised their price by another $10 a month , a 50 minute massage where you can rarely even get in is definitely not worth it! I would give negative 5 stars if I could .

This location has awful communication and poor customer standards. They also keep taking my money after I’ve cancelled 3 months ago. I absolutely regret starting a membership with this company.I canceled this membership in July and August still came out and caused an overdraft. I reached out to the location multiple times and was told they would make sure I was not charged again. I was charged again for September and October and was overdraft again since I’m on maternity leave and not receiving income!I definitely canceled and I have email and text threads for proof. They don’t answer the phone and don’t allow voice mail messages to be placed but tell you to text instead. What kind of business tells you to text them and doesn’t allow you to speak with anyone?I have had enough of being patient and nice, I will be making multiple reviews and filling a complaint with the Better Business Bureau today.

The biggest scam office I have ever dealt with! My daughter have never been here but we been noticing charges on her card that’s says -70$ massage envy pompano. So she called the place and they said that her phone number and card been registered to a different name. My question is how you can add somebody else’s card to a different persons membership? Do you guys check peoples ids? See if they Mach with the name on the card? Manager kept telling my daughter that she been to the location multiple times when she never stepped her feet in your office and now is being charged for services that she never received. Manager kept telling her to calm down and wanted to show her professionalism telling that she been working for the company for two years and need to do an investigation? There is no way card matched name on the membership and they didn’t even offer a refund and cancel the memebership. I’m definitely getting police involved because these people clearly only care for the money!

If I could give this location a 0/5, I would. I have never been more frustrated with a franchise of any sorts as I have been with this Massage Envy. And maybe it’s like this with all of them but mine in particular has some of the rudest customer service people sitting at the front desk. No one ever has an answer. Everyone always has an attitude. The manager tells you when she’s going to be around then never is. I signed up to be a member a year ago and I’ve been requesting to cancel my membership. it’s been the biggest joke I’ve had to deal with. They force you to fill out a form and in order to cancel your membership you have to turn it in at the location and the only person who can sign off on it is a manager, who never seems to be there. I will drive further away to use the rest of my credits because I refuse to walk in the door ever again.

I have been a member here for two years, when I booked my massage I was told I already had a credit so there would only be a $30 charge to upgrade to 90 minute massage, after my massage I was hassled and stressed out by front desk girls telling me I owed over $100. This was not right. They charged me and used my credits, and then said it’s not their fault the other girl didn’t know what she was talking about and gave me the wrong price. Ruined my relaxation from the massage being hassled and argued rudely too. Poor customer service.

I had Stephanie for my massage therapist and she was awesome! She did a great job and was very friendly! 10/10 recommend her!The front desk on the other hand was very rude and not friendly at all. When I walked in they did not address me. I said hello and told them my name to check in and both receptionist ignored me. I also called earlier in the week with an issue with my membership and the woman I spoke with on the phone was also rude and not helpful. This is the reason I am giving 3 stars. Stephanie is great and this doesn’t reflect her work at all… it is toward the staff who works the front desk.

I have a big complaint about the Massage Envy Pompano Beach, Florida location. That location without my permission charged my card and without informing me prior to booking my appointment that there is a deposit fee. I made my appointment 1 hour before the actual appointment, I went in to get a 60-minute massage, I was a first time customer there. I arrived 5 minutes early to my appointment, they started to register me in late by the time they finished registering me to start my massage I would only have 20 minutes left. The massage therapist told me he had another appt after me and would not be able to extend my time for me to receive the full 60min. So I told the massage therapist I rather reschedule. I am not going to pay for a 20 minute massage when its supposed to be 60 minutes. On my way out I told the receptionist I will call to reschedule, she then tells me they will charge my card for the deposit. I said I do not authorize that transaction because I was not informed there would be a deposit fee and they took forever to even get me in the back for my massage. The receptionists name is Angie, when I asked to speak to a manager she said she was a manager there but the way she was speaking to me was very rude, inappropriately snapping her finger at me as if I am a dog and when I asked another worker there if they were one of the managers, the Angie woman told me not to speak to her employees. Not allowing the other woman to approach me let alone to speak to me. Angie got even more rude and said to me she will not refund me my money and that she will call the cops on me which she did. All while there were other customers in their lobby area. Three days later after the incident a gentleman by the name of George called me arguing over the phone with me saying I shouldve come 15-20 minutes early to my appointment. Meanwhile I arrived 5 minutes early to my appointment. Three days later a guy named George called me arguing over the phone with me that I shouldve come to the appointment 20 minutes early. He offered me no resolution and no peace of mind. I was very unsatisfied with his phone call and bad customer service. Their facility is money hungry, unprofessional and charges clients cards without their permission. I had a terrible experience and I didnt even receive any massaging services. I battled cancer all 2020 and this was a lot of stress on me mentality. I only wanted to have a relax massage and yet they harassed me emotionally and added unnecessary mental stress to me. Angie and George are awful people. They have no good customer service.

They also keep taking my money after I’ve cancelled months ago. I even went as far as contacting the regional/corporate office about this.I only went to massage envy 3 times and they are still charging my credit card and will not refund any of my money. I moved out of state, and I contacted them giving them my new address along with a current bill with my new address on it, the manger came back and told me that I still live within 25 miles of a massage envy location and that I would have to go to my drs office and get a letter stating I cannot use the services - I told her that I will not have my drs office lie for me. It’s not the right thing to do, I simply told her her multiple times that I will never use the services and will never go back.So basically they are robbing me every month and they still call me to set up an appointment and I tell them every time I do not use the services any more and will not use them. I’ve gone so far as hiring an attorney about this. I am placing a lien against this company as of today and I will see them in court.

Kelly was excellent! Just the right amount of deep pressure, good communication as she listened to my needs and concentrated on specific areas. Highly recommend her. Only thing I would change is the add on...deep tissue biofreeze treatment was not for me. I felt cold until Kelly turned on the bed to warm me. That was so nice! I would go every two weeks for a massage and it used to be really great. Then recently they canceled me on a Sunday last minute and then they rebooked me for the next Sunday and then they cancel Me again due to emergencies that they said they had. So I rebooked the day before on a Monday but then then I woke up feeling sick and I called them in the morning and canceled. They were very rude to me on the phone telling me they were going to charge my credit card for the missing appointment although they really didn’t care about wasting my time the last two weeks when they canceled my appointment, The manager hung up on me he was rude and didn’t really care about losing a client at all. I never leave bad reviews, but I’ve unfortunately had to change mine. I’ve been a member for almost 3 years now, and I love the massage professionals. It’s the management and working the phone, however, who leave a bad taste in everyone’s mouth that I’ve been referring and bringing here. It’s extremely aggressive and off-putting. I’ve asked politely to stop overselling to my first-timer friends who were simply trying to go home after a late night “relaxing” massage, and to stop calling and harassing us with unnecessary phone calls every time “there’s an opening” for a massage. I asked politely and yesterday I received not one but TWO of these phone calls, back to back, in the middle of the work day while I was trying to accomplish errands. I could not get any of my friends to become members with me for this reason. They STILL receive phone calls and harassment even weeks after their ONE massage! This management style has turned away customers and if I didn’t favor the particular massage expert I like so much, I would be turned away from being a member, too. Maybe I will end my membership soon and try to find a masseuse who can come to my home instead. I’ve excused how EXTREMELY disorganized and confused the people on the phone are each and every single time I try to book a massage. But the overly-aggressive salesmanship goes against any educated salesperson advice. It doesn’t feel good to us.

Ive had a membership for years at ME for a different location and they were always great. I recently moved. The manager at this location doesnt have any people skills and has turned me off completely from ever returning. I have sensitive skin and dont respond well too the low quality oil ME uses so Ive always brought an organic grape seed oil with me that I respond well too. The manager refused to allow the therapist to use the oil and then attempted to corner me into snitching on a sweetheart of a therapist who I normally go to. Deeply uncomfortable and unprofessional. She then had the nerve to try and charge me a cancellation fee for the appointment and get into an argument with me. I told her I would not argue with her and I will not be returning. She then threatened to put a restriction on my membership. News flash - there are millions of massage therapy places, so your only hurting yourself. Stay clear of here and find a better massage place where they treat you with respect.

After checking in I received a text that said to “Please wait in your vehicle. We will send you a text when we are ready for you. Feel free to text back with any questions or concerns.Reply STOP to unsubscribe.” I filled out my Covid questionnaire and then waited in my car. My appointment was for 11am so at 11am I called to make sure I should still be waiting in my car and no one answered. I figured they were busy so I should text as the message they sent me said to do. So at 1104am I text the number back, Should I still be waiting in my car?” There was no response. Because almost ten minutes into my appointment was approaching I decided to go inside despite the text telling me to wait in my car. There was one girl at the desk talking to a man and people that worked there casually talking in the room behind the desk. I was very confused and a little annoyed because I was expecting everyone to be busy since I hadn’t been able to reach them for 15 minutes about my scheduled appointment. I explained my situation and then she clicked something on the computer that made a message come to my phone telling me to come inside because they were ready for me at 1109am now. I was given a brief apology, an explanation that she has complained trying to get that removed and I should have ignored that text, then I was sent to wait in the quiet room. I thought my time was being adjusted because of the serious lack of communication on the business’s behalf but that was not the case. I was dressed and out of the room at 12pm…the exact time I was scheduled to leave. (Which I understand because the therapist do have a schedule to keep.) My massage was great but the complete disregard of my time, patience and money is not okay.

I would honestly avoid this place until they can get it together. I was stressed from work and just needed to treat myself. SO I made an appointment for this location on May 26th since it had the first available at my desired time. I was very pleased with how everything went. Everyone so very nice and I felt relaxed. I signed up for the membership. During my check out (a little after 10pm) one young lady started checking my out. I asked to leave a $20 tip ($10 for each person) since I felt they did an amazing job. Then I was handed over to another young lady who originally started my file that day. She asked if I wanted to leave a tip and I told her I did already but she said she could not find it or did not see it. So she added the $20. My receipt was sent electronically. It was not until I got home that I realized I was charged $40 in tip and the $20 that I wanted. So I called the next day. They apologized and said they needed to speak to the manager to do the return. I heard nothing so I called back on Tuesday (5/31) and it was busy so it told me to send a text message, which I did. Again nothing, so I called the next day (June 1st) and spoke to someone. She apologized and said she would personally have the manager call me by Friday at latest. I heard NOTHING for the next week. I finally received a call back on June 13 but due to me traveling in a remote area I was not able to get it until I returned. So I called and spoke to someone on June 15th who said she would get it fixed. I told her I was not happy with the after service and wanted to cancel my membership. She kindly reminded me that the only way I could cancel is if I moved and was 25miles or more away or a doctors note saying I could not get a massage. I explained that it was not fair since I was not getting good service. She explained that everyone was new and had to wait for someone to assist them. I explained that it is still not fair and I feel that I have been more than patient with this situation and at the point it is the principal of the matter.
