We didnt eat, but from the looks of it people enjoyed their meals! Drinks where great, bartender was fabulous and all around good folks to be around 🙏🏼They also had a vending machine with cigs and varies items, like these 🧦 in a bag! Which was cool!

Really nice little dive. The outdoor space is almost as big as inside. It has a pool table and nice chairs inside. I recommend for a date night or going out with friends!

Streetside view is very understated but dont let that fool you. Dropped in on a Sunday night for the first time for a bite and a couple of drinks. Wow! Sat on their back patio. Different levels accommodate several parties without feeling like youre sitting on top of one another and taking part in each others conversations. Had the mac n cheese and it blew me away. Excellent and so affordable for the size of portion. Drinks were great and staff was friendly, too!

I visited Momos in Portland around 3-4 pm on a Wednesday and had a pleasant experience. The atmosphere was inviting, with ample indoor and outdoor seating. It wasnt crowded, making it perfect for a relaxed afternoon. The shaded outdoor seating at the back was comfortable.I made a special request for my meal, and they accommodated it well. The staff and the bar are actually great - the single star is because of the owner. While waiting for a drink, I had the pleasure of watching him swear out his very hardworking bartenders because he didn’t like the music they chose. Absolutely unacceptable. You don’t treat your staff that way and hope to keep business.

I dont think they do food. Bartenders are instant/available/friendly. Indoor and outdoor patio (heated) seating. Prices are a bit above dive bar, but not bad at all. Really enjoy this place.

Jus there for drinkt. For a dive bar, its great. Picnic tables outside in the back to enjoy the nice weather. Friendly staff. Dog friendly.

The first stop the boys and I meet before we go out. Great place for pool, adorable drinks and relaxed atmosphere. They used to have a lasagna that I would get every time but now it’s the Ruben!

The food was one of the best I’ve had at a bar! The atmosphere though was lowkey for a Monday I recommend for weekends only if you want a chill vibe. The music was off and it wasn’t lively.

Pretty dope selection of vintage pinball machines, exclusive strangely interesting items Ive never seen before available from their vending machines. The patio was enjoyable. Their Mac n 🧀 hit the spot.

This bar was the only $ rated bar in the area of the Hyatt Centric and I was tired of spending $$$ on every drink! It looks like a biker bar, which I love and would certainly ride to; however, the major difference are the bartenders! These guys were phenomenal! Every drink was exquisitely made, even the mixers were handmade. The beer was inexpensive and the mixed drinks were more than reasonable with the added benefit of a show as they make your drink.

Carissa provided good information and a good experience, but another bartender that helped me provided less than adequate service.Happy Hour runs 3-8pm and provides the following specials:4.50 wells5 microbrews3 tall high life, tecate, and PBR6 for a well whisky + tall PBROverall a good spot to hang out, great M-W vibe for studying, and taking some time to yourself. I think this would be a safe spot for women to spend a night out alone, as the environment doesnt seem like one that would have guys hitting on you if you were wanting an introverted night.

Momo’s is an industry dive bar. It’s exactly what you would expect. If you want cheap drinks and a large outdoor patio, it won’t disappoint.

Dana, Jules, and Theo are the absolute best bartenders Ive ever had. I could not sing enough praises.The atmosphere is very chill. Almost like a second home. Everyone is so friendly, other customers included.The drinks are out of this world. So much better than the craft cocktails from the Pearl district.

Best bar on the street. Snowpocolypse 22 upon us and Momos, like a lantern in the vold and dark was open, and Jewels gave me a delicious bone-warming old fashioned which i enjoyed in one of their leather chairs.

Best hidden dive bar in the downtown area.I was hesitant to go because you can’t really tell from the outside that it’s dive bar. But I’m so glad I took the chance! We went for a late-ish dinner and drinks and was so surprised by the food!! 🥘Amazing prices on all food and it’s super good too! You can’t go wrong with a $6 quesadilla with all the good stuff. A perfect spot for outdoor dining too. There are a lot of smokers, but that’s what you get for being on a patio 🤷🏻‍♀️ I can’t wait to go back!

The staff are friendly as far as bartenders go! But if you cause trouble, they wont hesitate to kick you out. The regulars are great company. The food is your baseline OLCC required sustenance, lol. Nothing at all to write home about. Drinks are good, nothing fancy. This is a meat and potatoes bar with 0 pretense. Mind your manners and youll be welcome for a lifetime!

This place is sweet! The dark, cozy atmosphere creates a laid-back ambiance. Great, provicative art on the walls! The bartenders are all super friendly and can make a good drink! Not to mention, my BF was having a blast, dancing like an idiot and nobody laughed at him. Well, besides me! I will definitely be back!

Highly recommend the Grilled Cheese that comes with bacon, guacamole, and cheddar cheese insid, and then a side of kettle chips and your choice of potato salad or macaroni salad. In addition we also recommend you try the nachos they include refried beans at the bottom, chips, cheese, salsa, guacamole, and sour cream. Lastly, the drink shot pours are very generous.

I know most, if not all, the best pubs in Portland and this one is one of the best pubs. It’s comfortable and the service is great. The patio in the rear with heated is very beer garden like.It would be a five star place but their food menu needs a couple more delicious offerings.

Yes, there is smoking on the semi covered back patio- (sometimes its not that bad). Inside is pretty rad, mixed crowd, cool art. There is a pool table, but difficult when its crowded if youre into that. Friendly bartenders, pretty much any drink you want is there. Good people watching. The food looks great, next time! Downtown vibe.

This is the first bar I hit when I moved here in 2008& it’s still my favorite! Best bar in PDX!

I never go out anymore, but this place was cozy and airy at the same time. The nachos were incredible and my boyfriend loved the macaroni and cheese. 10/10 on service. The staff was amazing. :)

This is a rad bar! Dont let the plain exterior turn you away - inside is warm and inviting with funky art. Theres also a great patio out back for the warmer months. Worth stopping in!

Havent been in years until recently. The back patio is well worth the trip. While not a good selection of beer or drinks, patio is a great hangout.

Pretty standard dive bar. The food is pretty good and fairly priced. They have a nice large outdoor seating area, but they do allow smoking out there.

Chill joint. Very 90s Portland inside with a surprising patio in the back that would make a pandemic pivot proud!The staff were friendly without being in your way, but chatty enough with the folks at the bar that you got the impression they spent some of their off hours on my side of it.The friendly staff even apologized for the meager menu offerings when I asked. But the kitchen side of the business was doing good things with what they had. Between me and my companions, we got close to half of the offerings and there wasn’t a regret in the group.I’d heard for too long that I needed to cross Burnside and give it a try. Now I’m sorry I put it off as long as I did. If I had and constructive feedback to add it would be that the tables closest to the door out back probably should be designated as non-smoking. Having come of age when smoking in bars was the norm, I’ve become surprisingly intolerant of it some 30-plus years later. I could feel the minimal intrusion of smoke in my eyes and throat before I finished my first drink. So I switched to beer. Bright side, right? Although, the beer could have been a couple degrees colder without hurting my feelings.Nothing that’s gonna keep me from going back or cost ‘em a star.

I went to this bar with one of my friends because it was her birthday. When we came in, the lady bartender gave us some samples of wines and made us a special cocktail which was really good. But the skinny guy bartender (or cashier) with a binnie on charged us extra drink and didn’t even apologize. And when we complained about it, he was very rude and salty about correcting him.The other bartenders were very friendly and nice but the guy somehow was already not happy even when my friend was ready to pay. We paid what we had to pay. We even tipped them >18%. We are not thieves. I’m really sad that my friend brithday night got ruined by the guy who didn’t admit his mistake and tried to blame on us. Very unprofessional!

Totally chill spot. darkly lit with great restaurant booth seating and a good selection of drafts with better cocktails. Has a bit of a hipster/trendy/city vibe to it. I come here often actually. 👍🏼

Hands down one of the best places in Portland! The best people and drinks!!!

This place is great! They have a fantastic back patio with lots of tables. About 1/2 of them are covered and heated, the rest are out in the elements. Inside, the place was pretty busy. Everyone seemed to be very courteous about mask etiquette. My good boy, Norbert, made lots of friends and had a fabulous time!

Spacious bar with ample outdoor seating and great drinks. There is a partially covered outdoor patio in the back of the bar that has a great atmosphere. This bar really is a hidden Portland gem!

Wonderful service, not a lot of room, but well utilized to serve the patrons. Could use another pool table, but good energy creates a good atmosphere, so most people are willing to share and it makes for good company. Highly recommend this bar, for the drinks and atmosphere. Only downside is the bathroom situation, but theyll figure it out. All in all, Four out of Five stars.

This is a pretty great little bar. They have a nice back patio, but they allow people to smoke on it. Its great for a summertime drink if you dont mind the smoke. Also, the bartenders are really nice and make drinks quickly, but at times, the line for drinks can be 15-20 people long, making for a long wait. I wouldnt recommend opening a tab here on busy afternoons/evenings - itll take 20+ minutes just to close it out when youre ready to go!

They dont require vaccine ID.I thought I would be fine because I usually keep to myself but someone started talking with me and my friends at our table and eventually we found out that person wasnt vaccinated.Other than that, the patio was spacious. It was a great atmosphere and what I drank was good.One barista ignored me. The other was great.

Decent staff. If you leave a tab open they ask for first names, which is odd. The art could be better. The patio outside is great in the summer and generally overcrowded then.They have inconsistent pricing with drinks, sometimes you will get the happy hour price during happy hour. Other times you will pay full price if your servers change.Great relocation and people, just can be hit or miss at times.

If youre there with friends it can be a lot of fun. Theres a pool table and a vending machine with cigarettes and some dumb nick nacks. The bar tender wouldnt make any mocktails which was a bummer, and the food felt a little pricey (typical bar food) until I saw the portion size was big and then it felt worth it. Had a fun experience here, just wish they sold at least one mocktail. DDs might want a drink too.

What can I say its a great place to relax great atmosphere plenty of seating great bartenders great back patio with heaters couple pinball games and a pool table. Just an all-around great relaxing venue come down today.

Nice little dive bar on the west side of Portland. Cheap drinks and food. Can get a little busy on weekends, but if you want a cheap drink before a show or after work its a perfect spot. Pool table in house with a ton of pinball machines. The real highlight of this place is their back patio. Plenty of seating with picnic style tables and a few high table options.

First time in loved the atmosphere, patio, pool table was occupied so I found a game there. Barley Browns on tap to seal the deal.Will be back for sure. 🤟

No better place to get drunk with all my friends. A personal favorite of mine, pool table and pin ball machine. The decor is edgy but tasteful. Super friendly and attentive staff. My favorite part though is the back patio area. It is as Portland as it gets.

Friendly service. Reasonable prices, especially for a bar located downtown. Standard bar fare for food. The nachos I ordered came with plenty for me and another person to share. This establishment is a regular hangout for those that work in the bar industry so if youre looking to get to know your favorite bartender or server from one of Portlands other bars/restaurants, especially those located downtown, you have a better than average of running into them here. Theres plenty of seating inside as well as outside, with the outside seating having heaters at most of the tables during the winter months that also allow for smoking cigarettes. The one drawback is that there is generally a long line at the bar when ordering drinks but the bartenders are top notch and make quick work preparing drinks so the wait isnt normally too long, even when there is a line. Situated right next to the library max stop and streetcar stop, it is very conveniently located should you want to forego driving, or if you have too much to drink and want to leave your car to pick up at a later time. Overall a very good establishment and one of my favorite places to go in Portland.

For visiting out of state and this was my first visit to this bar, not my first Portland visit. But Im definitely making this a stop for every visit in the future. Customer service was perfect. Friendly employees and customers. And I got plenty of drinks with aperol and campari which I love, and they were made perfect

What a wonderful place! I love coming here. Decent food, great beer section and wonderful staff. My new favorite hobby is to grab a new book or magazine at Powells and read it at Momos on their epic back deck in the summer.The crowd is fun and responsive, mixed in with a colorful bunch of regulars. This is the kind of place that you think of when you say to your friend where should we go tonight?.

Went to enjoy the back patio here. Didn’t realize how many people still smoke in Portland. There’s only one non-smoking table but it is pinned in by smoking tables. Indoors this is a funky bar with pinball and probably a lot of fun. We’ll have to try this place again when it’s rainy and I’m not looking to be outside.

No frills bar whose main demographic are those that work in the food and service industry. A bartenders bar so to speak. Very few beers on tap. You wont break the bank going here. Friendly service as well as very reasonably priced drinks for a downtown spot in Portland..

Pretty cool place to hang out and chat. They have an indoor and outdoor area to sit. Went with some friends and it was a nice time outside, and moved it inside when the pool table was free. They have only ONE pool table, so be aware of that. But all in all, cool place. Clean place.

The atmosphere here is awesome! I always enjoy starting my night here,really sets the tone for the evening. The staff is very friendly and helpful, but there is one guy who always looks like hes in a grumpy mood. Maybe he is maybe he isnt, but he makes me drinks and hell make you drinks so just respect him and start drinking!

Happened across this bar while walking around downtown. Drinks were well priced and well prepared by great bartenders. The crowd embodied Portland. Would recommend this bar to anyone in downtown looking for a chill, low key place to have a drink and enjoy the people and music.

Low key place to have a cocktail after hours. Large spacious area in the back with a smoking section as well to enjoy on a sunny day. Pool table inside for a few quarters for entertainment alongside some pinball machines as well. Cheap cocktails that pack a punch, a great stop to begin your evening adventures.

If you need a drink or a local hang out it is worth the stop. The bar tenders are friendly, the back patio is a small oasis in the heart of downtown. There is plenty of cover space for smokers, pool tables, and a simple yet solid menu. Pro tip just walk up to the bar to get served no need for a single file line.

The back patio is amazing. Service was delightful. Daisy was a highlight. Art is great. Nachos were wonderful and a perfect serving between three friends.

Great joint. Went there after the Ringside Fish House happy hour to change things up and couldnt been happier with our spots at the bar nor from the smiles of the bartenders. Plus, they used our names and made sure that we knew that our beers were only $3...so we stayed for more. They just made it into our new happy hour routine. Classic, unassuming gin-joint.

I recommend this bar to everyone! It gets a but busy on weekends, especially in the summer, but the back patio is incredible, their food is extremely affordable while being delicious and well portioned, and there are pin ball machines and a pool table. Friendly, chill, highly recommend!

What may appear like a little dive bar from the outside, this is a great place for a cocktail, or beer from one of their 6 taps. Seating is limited, but available. This is a great little bar that does great work in a comfortable setting, all for a fair price.

They were playing a song from Janet Jacksons The Velvet Rope ... Immediate five stars. Drinks are slightlyy more expensive (than a NE dive) but the location certainly affords it. I like to dip in late at night before I have to catch a dreaded blue line.

Momos is a great neighborhood bar. Its super chill and has a great relaxed air. It can be busy but in a gentle hum sort of way opposed to crazy crowded. Getting the pool table is hit or miss since its usually pretty busy.

Came here for drinks and they’re mixed well, as taste good. The bartenders are nice and will keep the drinks going if you have a tab.

I started coming here when I lived down the street. The food is pretty standard but drinks are cheap, especially for downtown, and they have a huge (partially covered) patio. Its generally pretty busy after 7 pm.

I newly live in the area and once finding Momos I was an instant local, not some yuppie bar like most are down town these days, but I was hyped to have a super cool hiding dive bar near me.. Love hows its really dim litted, and the new small remodel they did by lowering the backs of the booths and opening up that lower level. The only thing I wish theyd done was put more pool tables or something cool in the new lower level, its just some random tables with nothing else down there. But Yes theres a pool table and did I mention the extremely sick HUGE back patio they have, this place is awesome if your a local or a newcomer to Portland and just want to go to a legit downtown bar.. So Momo is pretty much a dive bar, but with a great selection of liquor and beer. I love coming here after a shift and enjoying a beer and a shot on their patio. Plus one star for always having Rittenhouse Rye behind the bar!

Came for last call trivia on a Tuesday night. The crowd was good, cute girls, great service. Couple good beers on tap and the food was so so. Go with the Reuben, skip the wings. Patio is perfect for warm nights.

This place is really cool! Ive only been there once recently since I dont drink personally but decided to have a couple of drinks and out in the back they have this really cool pack patio with fires and what not, however right before leaving, I noticed, by the was a couple months ago when temperatures were dropping and freezing outside, a waiter was trying to kick this homeless dude out, #1 I understand its a business #2 he happen to be seated right across from me and it was no one I mean in that side of the room that he could of bother even if he wanted to but he wasnt, he was just there to protect himself from the cold, I help in a few different chelters and we have lost a few people recently just because of the cold alone. So i go over there and the last thing I catch other then he wants him to leave although hes waiving some money to him but obviously you could tell he was homeless, was that he couldnt find hes gloves and was looking for them so right there and there I decided to give him my own and dude just looked at me! Theres good and bad Karma, which one do you like to collect its up to you!!!😎🤙👊👍

Im giving this four stars mostly because of the patio & how much I was charged for pints ($3 – yes, seriously!) – the inside of the bar is underwhelming, and if that were the only place to sit I would leave. The $3 pints really caught me off-guard, because it was applicable to everything on tap (not just InBev domestics). My friend and I showed up around 5pm, or so, and stuck it out until 8:30-9pm, never being charged more than $3. If this is a regular pricing then I am leaving this as a 4-star bar, if not, I would drop it to a 3-star bar, since outside of the beer pricing & patio there is nothing inherently special about this place.

Looks like a cute kitschy bar in photos. Turned out being this weird ghetto bar that the people that were in there were no fun, there was a line to get drinks like we were lining up for recess. Weird and trashy. I wasn’t looking for a fancy bar by any means but not anything what it looks to be in the photos

Nested in the heart of downtown, Momos offers a welcoming space to have a beer, cocktail and share a hearty order of nachos with friends. The back patio, fully cordoned by adjenct buildings, often is busy during fair weather, however serves distinct urban vibes that shouldnt be missed.

Nice secluded back patio allows for long, raucous evenings with some interesting characters setting the scene. Food isnt spectacular and takes a while to arrive but tall boys provide the ammo and conversation starters for the interim.

I went to momos with a few friends that were gathering to visit... I had my normal 2 drinks over the course of 2 hours, both drinks were handed directly to me from the bartender and never left my hand even for a second as I usually sip consistently until a drink is finished in public because of risk involved with leaving them unattended. This particular evening it did no good.. the drinks I received from the bartender made me incoherent to the point of not being able to speak or walk... after getting help into the restroom to urinate, I was unable to keep standing and fell hard hitting my head on the bathroom door handle itself and had to get help up and out and back to my seat where I passed out (pretty sure I had a much not concussion from hitting my head) I was in and out of Consciousness and drank water for another hour and a half while continuing to get worse... had my sister come and take me home and was lucky I had that as an option.Moral of this story is DONT TRUST MOMOs Bartenders in my opinion.-We were sitting in a section of the bar where nobody else was besides our group.-my drink came straight from the bartenders hand.-my drink never left my hand and was gone within 10 minutes both times.There isn’t any other explanation for why could’ve happened.Bartender was also very rude after misunderstand my order and me saying it was no problem, I would pay for another and take that as well.. really bad experience!Lucky I didn’t seek legal action against them on this.. still probably should!

Prices are normal compared to other bars of the same quality. Their nachos are amazing. Many college students from Portland State University come here so expect more of a college-type theme.

Its a little bar downtown that used to be really popular... Now its just a little bar downtown... Its got a cigarette vending machine which would seem quite odd but they also have a quite large outdoor patio with covered seating and outdoor overhead heaters... So if your stuck in the 90s still smoking cigarettes like its cool then this might be the spot for you ;-)

Decent enough place, drinks were poured a little light, but thats how it goes on a Friday night. The back seating area is wonderful with heating lamps and great atmosphere.

This place has everything. Its fairly close to the center of downtown, has an amazing patio, and cute bartenders. This is where my friends and I like to meet up after class or to pregame before heading into old town. Has a jukebox too, thats always a plus.

Horrible service! 3 bartenders standing just feet away from us, facing us, chatting about their personal lives, completely ignoring the 4 people lined up in front of them. We finally had to bluntly interrupt them and ask them to make us drinks, which dude then did with an attitude. Never ever going back.

I was here from around 7pm til 10pm on a Saturday in January. Not crowded at all. Amazing bar service. Friendly service and staff. Awesome drinks.

Cheap drinks for central Portland and a nice spot at night. Right in the middle of downtown, and easily walkable (within close proximity to the max) and nice options. All around, a solid place.

Rainy Night in Portland places recommended I stayed at the Hilton sorry have no pictures but open till 2:30 in the morning staff was very friendly the food was awesome. I had the grilled cheese with potato salad homemade awesome

This was the first place I had a drink when I was 21 and they honored the one free drink on your 21st. LOVE the back patio as almost no bars in Portland have this downtown

Good atmosphere. Parking is not as good (downtown parking. What can ya do lol). Drinks prices for a bar located downtown arent too steep, but not on the cheap side.

Best Dive bar downtown! Great atmosphere, good food and an outdoor patio where you can smoke and drink. The clientele is eclectic and vibrant.

MoMos has a great patio and the back. Drinks are very well priced and they have a good selection of bourbon and some decent micro brews on tap.

Momo can make any drink you can think of, so long as that drink doesnt include cachaça. But they have some great whiskeys, beers on tap, and the patio is HUUUUUGE, and you can smoke out there as well. Need a cigarette and a stiff drink? Look no further.

Decent bar with the ability to play pool. I liked this place, seemed a little cold when I went last, but other wise its not to shabby. I will go again when I have time.

There are very few classic Portland dives left. Im not talking the sad filthy video poker lobbies with geriatric patronage. Still got plenty of those...Im talking places with stiff drinks that are cheap, eclecticly themed, and the bartenders remember your order.Momos wont be every persons cup of tea, especially the people who hang out downtown, but its the perfect spot to grab a drink after work, or meet up with friends.

This is my go-to bar down town. I love this place so much, it is the perfect amount of divy. The bartenders have all been amazing over the years. I will never stop coming here.

Stopped in real quick pretty late, it was very lively and the staff was friendly. The food was good and quick, the beers were good but one tasted like the end of the keg or something as it tasted quite a bit off

Went there with few co-workers, one of them has hypoglycemia and was told she needs to get the F$%@ out when she was not feeling well and vomited. *first of all, she was low on blood sugar *second, even if this happened to be someone who was wasted, you could ask politely to leave the bar. Boooo!

A lot of folks dont know about Momos.The place is simple, but cant be beat for location. Right downtown, its a great spot for grabbing a cocktail before or after going out, and a perfect meeting spot.Service is friendly, prices fair, and they keep the place nice, not divey, but not frou frou.

Excellent service, fantastic whiskey selection. The bartenders were knowledgeable and friendly. I had a great time here.

Late night amazing.basic and good street food adaptations of egyptian. the biggest bonus is the guy who runs it is lovely. 2:30am after work he makes me a special veggie wrap with extras, i dont even know how much it costs because i always tip him enough to just pay a 10er because hes that awesome!just go, trust him to make something great and hopefully he will impress you as much as he has me.

Must not have seen me walk outside with my drink he made… Bartender stepped out to cough up a lung I’m assuming because he didn’t realize I was out there. Awkward pause, then walks back inside. You work with food dude!! Stay home if you’re sick I’m tired of wearing a mask!

Great nachos, good drinks, friendly service, and the back patio is a nice plus. This place stays pretty busy, so you might have to wait a while for service, but its worth it.

No nonsense dive. Surprisingly good food with decent vegetarian options. Pinball machines and a pool table. Lots of comfy booths for serious conversations. Crowded on weekends.

I love the patio... when its empty. Dont expect quick lines or ample seating on the weekend but even then its not bad.

Im hard-pressed to justify the prices of the drinks. Its average in every way, plenty of other places are worse, but $9 for a whiskey sour is offensive.

Good place to go with friends. Pretty busy between 10 and midnight but the drinks are good and the atmosphere is cozy.

Yummy manhattans + lovely, warm, and kind bouncer with a dog. Tables could be cleaned a bit more between parties.

They have a nice courtyard seating area in the back that is great for sunny days however it is often filled with smokers.

Main reason I dont give this place five stars is how crowded it gets sometimes. Best bar nachos in PDX, back patio is awesome.

There have been a lot of articles naming this one of the top bars in Portland but I wasnt that impressed. Maybe I just went on a dead night but it was pretty quiet and the drinks were unimpressive.

This is a nice bar, but there is always a line for drinks and they serve people who dont wait in line. Also, they have RC cola that isnt mixed properly.
