I havent had the food there yet but the drinks are yummy, and the karaoke is great! The host is talented and enthusiastic so really keeps up the vibe, the crowd was supportive of each other and just overall a really fun time!

It was late and a lot of places were closed, and we wanted food that wasnt drive-through. I reluctantly agreed to go to boombox bar, having low expectations for sure.When we were arrived we found a medium size group participating and and enjoying karaoke. OK, that was fun and good for people watching! But I wanted something to eat.We each ordered a burger and shared a basket of Gorgonzola fries. Much to my surprise the burger was really tasty and cooked well. Maybe couldve used a better bun. Just saying, not really complaining. The basket of fries was generous and crispy and loaded with Gorgonzola sauce and cheese. We ate every last bite. My friend had some kind of mule cocktail and enjoyed it as wellThe service was counter-casual, but the staff was friendly and the food came pretty fast. At the end of it all I had to apologize to my friend for making a fuss and not wanting to go to this place.We will def go back!

**from what I have read on other low star reviews, there seems to be a repeating pattern of racism from at least one of the bartenders, most likely the one that my husband & I interacted with. My husband is Ethiopian so from what I can discern that had to play a role in the way we were treated. Extremely distasteful.The bartender that was working 6/29/24 & 7/6/24 was super rude for no reason. It was my first time coming to Boombox & I love the atmosphere. Super cute, pretty decent food but the service sucked. Regardless of your perception of someone, as a business it’s your job to make the customer feel welcome, safe, & valued. That was not the vibe my husband & I received from the bartender.

So much fun! The karaoke was the best, the vibes were immaculate & the DJ was so much fun. Highly recommend for a fun night out on the town😛

It was my first time there, and unfortunately, I didnt feel very appreciated. I approached the bartender to order a drink for my friends birthday, but she completely ignored me and walked away. At first, I thought she might have been busy, but later one of my friends mentioned that she can be quite rude. It was disappointing to encounter such behavior, especially considering shes in a customer-facing role.I believe it may also be my last. I place a high value on good customer service, and on this occasion, I felt it fell short of my expectations.I believe that offering excellent customer service can make a significant difference in any interaction. It not only reflects positively on the business but also leaves a lasting impression on the customer. As a first-time visitor, I had hoped for a more positive experience. I believe that by providing a more welcoming or accommodating atmosphere, you can truly set your business apart and create loyal customers.I appreciate the opportunity to share my thoughts with you, and I hope that this feedback can be taken constructively. We have had a lot of great nights at boom box bar. It’s usually nights where we’re having a great time in White Center and wind up doing karaoke here before the night gets over. We also came here for one of the Tuesday night trivia nights and it was a lot of fun. The crowd is laid-back and not too uptight. A big surprise was how delicious the cafeteria style crinkle cut fries were. Didn’t see that coming, YUM!! There were also really nice cocktails as well.

Stumbled upon this cool little spot a year ago and now it’s our go to. We love the lemon pepper wings and the karaoke! The staff can all sing, bartenders are always pleasant and same for the doorman/bartender. 10s across the board!

Cool place! Went early in thr afternoon before it got crowded. Drinks were made quickly. Pretty good, with fun options. Fries were delicious and shared easily in a group setting. Definitely need to go back and take another chance at the night life plus the brunch.

Ordered from uber eats.Surprisingly everything was good, fresh, and hot. The only thing was the food was so hot that it melted the condiments packs, but Ill take that. First time try for me and Ill eat there again.

The bald bartender working the evening of 12th of July was so rude and tried to tell us that he couldn’t accept any passports that weren’t US, Canada or Mexico as it was ‘the law’. Which is just not true. We have been in Seattle for a month and it’s the first time that we ever had this. We left our party and went to find another bar and in the meantime looked up the law, to of course find out it’s not true. Our friend went to the bar with this information and the bar tender continued to fight with us saying he couldn’t ’bend the rules’ until the manager or someone else stepped in. We went back but the other bar tenders also weren’t very friendly and the Mannys was extremely cloudy and didn’t taste right.

Decent spot to go. I went to a listening party a few days ago. Music was good, food and drinks. It was a good vibe

Had a very lovely brunch for 9 here and you get to do a super fun wheel spin for your birthday. Reasonably priced with a warm staff and atmosphere!

We were about to go in with a group of friends and right as we are about to go in the door man closes the door and lets someone else enter. We try again, and this time a man singing karaoke stands there not allowing us to enter and mid song he ask us for our ID, as we are pulling them out, another man approaches us at the same time and asked us again for our ID at this point we had all eyes on us we felt very uncomfortable and discriminated against. Left with the impression the employees were under the influence.

The truth is I dont like to speak badly about this place because it is one of my favorite places but today I had a very unpleasant experience with the person who served the drinks and treated me and my cousin like I resisted because of my Latin face and I didnt like that and I told him why he treated us like that and he got angry just because we have Mexican children. Thats not right. I really didnt like that and he also took our drinks from us just because I told him not to treat us like that. I think we are in a country without racism he shouldnt have treated me like that I dont know but thats my opinion I didnt like that person always boy after my work

8pm on a weeknight. Bartender sitting with friend watching a cartoon playing on all screens. Would probably have ordered food and stayed for more than one drink if I could have heard or even paid to hear my own music. Was here once before and experienced food engagement. Bummer.

This place is really chill. Very non-biased, exciting and fun place for adults to let their hair down and have a great time. They have karaoke most nights. Some Drinks are unique to establishment and are great! Atmosphere is electric Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. Go out and have a great time.

Great little local bar. Staff are always friendly. I go closer to 5pm after work for a quick drink and bite. Havent made it for any of the later entertainment or events, but keep planning too.

Overall I enjoyed my visit. I didnt try the food and never used the restroom so I cant speak on that. But the atmosphere was chill and friendly. Appears to be all inclusive so LGBTQA friendly and I did see someone with a dog, unknown what their dog policy is.Karaoke is a thing there I think which is pretty much the norm anymore. No pool tables bummed me out but not enough to not visit again.Ill definitely be back.

In the early evening it is a nice chill cool bar, but late night it is hoppin! Excellent food.

Everything is fine, the music, the people until going to the counter bar, ruined me and my mom’s night…. Can’t even sink in til now from last night, the black bartender is just so rude.

Its divey, but the patrons seem down to earth and friendly. They were the only bar in the White Center area open on July 4th and they were hopping. The karaoke was fun. On a night when everything is open, its one of the liveliest places in the neighborhood.

Im 65 years old, had 2 drinks and then was refused service and told to pay tab and was kicked out.

Amazing place that we fell in love with! The staff is great, the aesthetics are so fun and THE FOOD & DRINKS are delicious. The Knight Rider is my favorite cocktail - so refreshing! I’ve tried quite a few options on the menu at this point but the classic cheeseburger isn’t go-to. So hard to find a great smash style burger and they make a truffle aioli in house for the curly fries. Such a gem in this neighborhood!! We aim to support small whenever possible and this has become a frequent flyer!

My favorite place to get a lovely beverage or 3, while singing alllll my favorite songs with awesome folks! Hands down MY favorite Karaoke bar Ive ever experienced, for sure... The first time I went, my crew and I fell so in love with the joint, that we stayed till the very end and bought t-shirts to remember the night by, haha 😄 HIGHLY recommended for a night out singing and drinking with friends.

I always have such a great time when I go to Boombox! The crowd is diverse and welcoming and the bartenders are always fast and attentive. Its one of the few places Im routinely comfortable singing karaoke!

Reasonably priced. Great atmosphere. Service is nice and welcoming. Games on the big screen. Brunch was bomb, good menu and drink selection. We’ll be back. Thanks!

I don’t think I would ever frequent this place due to what I’ve heard happen 1ST HAND to a member of the LGBTQIA+ community member, borderline hate crime. Additionally, I have consistently heard about the bartenders being rude, the dj is rude and they owner is complicit in raciallly biased opinions and attitudes and does nothing to quash them. I’d rather spend my dollars elsewhere.Being a Member of the LGBTQIA+ community it scares me to hear that a fellow member was brutally beaten here and has since moved out of state out of fear. And the rude staff to BIPOC community members (even if they are also BIPOC) is still a poor reflection of the business. Additionally, if the owner does NOTHING to quash, help or remove rude and hateful staff & patrons after being informed, THIS IS COMPLICIT and is equally as harmful to the community. As I stated earlier, I will be spending my dollars elsewhere and I urge other community members to do the same.

Absolutely amazing! I chose Boombox for a last minute get together for my friends’ joint birthdays and I was blown away by how casual and cozy the bar was! Great drinks that have no sensible portions of alcohol to mixer ratio which get you prepped for some karaoke. Which, I didn’t even know there was karaoke here until I walked in!! Signing up for a turn at karaoke was easy if the song you’re looking for on their website is available. All that mattered was they had classic bangers and I was so down for it. The ambiance was so beautiful with the neon lights and everyone was so kind/welcoming! This is my favorite bar so far, I definitely will be back again!!

The staff are wonderful, food is yummy, karaoke is awesome. The venue is tiny. Handicap accessible entrance in front Street parking... LGBTQ FRIENDLY. Leave your hang ups at the door, they are about the only thing not welcome here.They have incredibly yummy Gorgonzola fries now!.

Pretty good place. Bartenders are nice. No creep vibes. House drinks are very white girl but you can order something else if you know what you like. They made a really good dark and stormy when I ordered off-menu.

One of the best bars in white center hands down. Great food, great drinks, and an incredibly warm and welcoming atmosphere. It’s clear that the owner puts a lot of time and energy into the place, but most importantly love. It’s a safe space for everyone and I cannot recommend it enough!

I didnt have any food although the menu looks good. It was a pretty cool place J is a good bartender and singer lol and it was a nice atmosphere.

We stopped in for only food because we were going rollarskating after; holy hell though, I almost over ate where I couldnt go rollarskating (I did though 🤣) because the food was so good! Service was excellent too! Im not sure of the gentlemans name behind the bar serving us, but he took such pride in what Im assuming was his bar. The wings were some of the best Ive ever had (he wasnt joking,) best in quite awhile for sure. I think the fried green beans WERE the best Ive ever had.Very clean, chill environment with great music. 100% recommend! We will be back for drinks & food this time. Thanks for the great experience!

Fantastic atmosphere, if you enjoyed Grand Theft Auto:Vice City youll be in heaven. Some of the most talented and well loved West Seattle restaurant people from the last 2 decades are working here, the cocktail menu is spot on. Awesome drinks made by amazing people, while its got that Vice City flair, its not overly pretentious, perfect for the neighborhood the bar is in. Chef Gibbys menu is likewise full of creativity and flair, but the ingredients are down to earth and easily appreciated for their richness, and well thought out flavor pairings.The room is fun and colorful, perfect for a date, or a place host out of town people after you retrieve them from SeaTac, or a neighborhood watering hole after work with friendly faces and stuff drinks after a rough Monday at work. Ill certainly be back, and you should too.

We were here on a Saturday afternoon so I cant speak about the night life. I can tell you the food and drinks were quite good. Sister had a chicken sandwich, I had the meatball sub with a side salad and her husband had Boombox lunchables. Would eat there again! Bartender was very nice. I had a Nightrider cocktail with pomegranate liqueur, yum! They have DJs, karaoke and other events at night. Sounds fun. Kind of a throwback vibe.

I didnt stay long, or order for that matter. It was very crowded, it was super hot, and also not a fan of karaoke. Their menu items looked pretty tasty though perhaps Ill get a bite to eat my next time there.

I went to this joint 3 times. The 1st experiences were good. The 2n and 3rd was not so good. Yesterday, I had shared with the lady bartender, that my chicken breast meal was served cold after waiting for 20 minutes. She apologized.So this time, I just order a cold beer instead. Because of covid restrictions, she asked me to not face the bar. I apologized and did as instructed. Then this white guy comes in and did the same thing. She made no directives with him and he proceeded to enjoy his drink. I waited just to see if she wood, it never happened. Im not sure I would like to continue supporting this neighborhood bar. I think you all know why!😐

Had a great time Friday night. Bartender was super friendly and helpful, vaccinated staff members, and tables are partitioned for Covid safety. I felt very safe here.We plan to return soon for Kareoke night!!

Located in the heart of White Center. The food is ok and the service is super slow. It has a small karaoke area. Not exactly sure what day of the week they have karaoke night. Best that you call to ask. I likely will not go out of my way for this place.

Whod have known that this place would have such solid and delicious food! Not only are their sandwiches and burgers great, but they also do very well for takeout. Nice to get home and still have fries crisp and hot!

A solid new place in white center. I have enjoyed this location 2x now. Aside from an occasional wait for your drinks. This establishment rocks, and is a great place to dance on Fridays!!

Food is very solid, service is spectacular. We came here when it was take out only and it was great. The staff is super friendly, the restaurant is very clean. The burger is fantastic, the reuben is awesome. I cant speak highly enough.

Been here a few times with my friends. Super fun atmosphere while still being very chill. The music is on point and there’s lots of colors. We will definitely be going back again!

Boombox was our first post-COVID going out, mask wearing, booze night. Place is awesome. Its local (could walk, but I wont), great drinks and food, and staff are cool as hell.

Another wonderfully themed bar for the White Center crowd. Karaoke there on Saturday is loads of fun.
