I planned a jointed bachelorette and it was so hard to pick a drag show because there are so many amazing options in P-town. But I am so glad I picked this place because everyone was amazing! The show is 45min-1hour and it is PACKED with performances!!!! Even the waiters/waitresses, bartenders, and Hostess were SO FUN and full of energy!!!I love that they offered cocktails AND mocktails — which was perfect for the Brides because we didn’t want to get too drunk before another event.Event was well organized and the gentleman on the phone was so polite and friendly when I requested our large group to be seated together.Would come back to Ptown just for the show and staff!!!
We went to the drag brunch today and everything about it was FABULOUS! When we arrived we were seated at the bar. The bartender, George, was very nice (and cute), and made us delicious bloody marys. I ordered the eggs benedict which had a perfect, creamy hollandaise sauce. My husband ordered the Mexican omelette which was very flavorful. The home fries were delicious as well. I ordered an ice coffee which was dark, rich, full bodied and refreshing. The magic continued with the best drag show we’ve ever seen. The drag queens were funny and creative and amazing lip synchers. I laughed my butt off. I would give this experience more than 5 stars if I could as it had it all: Great food and drinks, great service, and fantastic entertainment. All at very reasonable prices. Highly recommended!
Beautiful space! The two musicians there sang my friend and I happy birthday and the waiter was super friendly and attentive (and it was his first day!) thank you so much for a wonderful experience!
The Post Office Cafe was so cute and had amazing service! It was lovely to sit outside along the street and watch the hustle and bustle of the morning. My sister had the lobster eggs benedict- I had the french toast with bacon and it came with maple syrup and whipped cream. I also tried the corned beef hash side - it was good but wish it was crispy.
Awesome show!! Went to the Shartts creek that just premiered and it was awesome. The script was interesting and a realistic branch off of the show schitts creek. The actors did a phenomenal job capturing the characters. You can tell they put in their time and effort. We had the opportunity to do a meet and greet before the show (they did after as well for anyone interested). The theater on the second floor is very intimate. It is essentially a narrow room with church pews and a stage at the front. My only negative comment is we purchased a drink at the bar downstairs than was told we couldnt take it upstairs. A little silly but ok. They did offer bar service in the theater, however the server cashed everyone out very early on in the show. I was actually hoping to order another, but was given the check. Was a bit of a bummer.
Sunday August 4 we were looking for a restaurant in Ptown that could accommodate 13 people quickly as we were heading to the finish line for the PMC. The hostess standing outside beckoned us in. We were up front with our request and she said it could be done. We sat at 3 diffrent tables. That was perfectly fine with us. I asked if we would have the same server as I wanted to pay the entire bill for all three. The gentleman server I spoke with said no problem and I gave him my card to hold. When our server, Gina, came to take our drink order we said we were ready to order. She informed us she couldn’t take our order for another 2 minutes as the kitchen wasn’t open yet. They knew we were on a time crunch. So we ordered our coffees. She then did not return until after the other servers had taken theother two tables orders. One of our tables decided to only order coffee as they didn’t want to miss our friend finishing at the PMC, so they left and gave their server a $20 bill. My husband was at another table they got their food no problem and were finished before we even got ours. Two tables that came in after us received their food before us. When we asked our server and again said we were on a time crunch she said it was coming. We received the food one person at a time with at least 5 minutes in between. One order didn’t have the right amount of eggs asked for and my Avaado toast without arugula came with arugula Which at anyother time I wouldn’t think twice and never mention but I am for this. When my husband left his table he tipped his server $20.00. I asked for the bill when my toast came out. Gina brought it in the cc machine. I asked for the bill, as I always do to look it over. She said I would get it after I paid. I explained I like to look at it with this many people. She immediately became rude. “Well, I will have to cxl the tramsaction and …..”. So I said no don’t cxl and gave her my cc. She handed me the machine I gave her a $20.00 tip. My friends had given me cash for the tip so I was going to throw down some cash on the table. When I handed her back the machine she took the cc out of it and threw it at me. We all were shocked. Gina then said “I don’t know what your problem is, you’ve all had attitudes since you came in here. She turned walked away came back and threw the itemized receipt at me and then said” thanks for the lousy tip”. I then said I was going to give you some cash but now I am not. I was so taken back I didn’t eat my breakfast The bill was $136.00 for three tables. Gina only served our table. The other servers were tipped out with cash. I wasn’t going to tip her on $136.00. The entire tip at 20% would be $27.00. We tipped $60.00 on $136.00. When I told my husband he spoke with hostess and she said Gina has been there 15 years and did say she would speak with the owner. We will never know and we will never go back. If you can’t handle a large group of people, say no. We understand. TinPan Alley couldn’t. They said no and pointed us to the Aqua Bar.
Great experience. Lady in blue noticed us looking for nourishment and invited us in. We where happily me by Ronna who took our orders and served us our delicious meals, all while on her birthday! Happy B-Day Ronna! We also happened to meet some newly met friends while in the vicinity, which added to the adventure!
Cabaret shows are in a very cramped attic with rows of what look like church stalls. Very, very uncomfortable venue. Also, buying tickets for events here demanded a $4 per ticket charge for using a credit card. Seriously??? Why? Is it a tax dodge? Given the price charged for a one hour show that peddles tacky merchandise, its a little difficult to see this as professional. Sadly there is nothing historic about this place, its really just a money grab.
These guys saw my buddy was shivering. They gave him a blanket and called him a wuss. It was an amazing experience! 10/10 would recommend.
Visited twice on a recent visited to P town. Our server both times Katya was lovely and offered excellent service. Good burgers and brunch pretty good. Great margaritas.Update. Returned on Saturday for brunch on our last morning Im P town this year.Managed to catch a fun drag brunch and once again the service was excellent. Had the brunch burger, really good.
Great little restaurant with such a fun atmosphere and great food! Perfect location in the heart of Provincetown!
Terrible shows and staff. 2 me year in a row having a bad experience. Patronize another theater
8:30 Saturday show was great. Singing and dancing was amazing! Great performance and worth the ticket. Would have given 5 stars but there was one part to one of the acts that, though it was a powerful message, was a little abrupt for the atmosphere of the rest of the show.Drinks were strong. Good vodka soda.
It was pouring rain, everyone was waiting in the cafe/bar below for the next cabaret show to begin... even the performers. Little did we know thats who we were interacting with.Once the doors opened and we were seated....we entered through the outer staircase that lead to the upper level...it wasnt a fancy theater...it had wooden bench/pew seating, very small place, intimate setting with a bar and a stage. The entertainment was absolutely amazing! I loved the quaintness of it all. After the show the entertainers were mingling amongst the crowd and happy to take pictures. It was a fantastic evening....rain and all!
The food is quite poor and the waitress has been very rude to us
Honestly didnt come here for the food, but the drag shows they have. We went two times in one night and loved both shows. Staff is very friendly, and the drinks they serve during the show are very well made. Definitely will be coming back the next time were there.
Great owners and staff. We showed up for breakfast rush and were greeted promptly and courteously. Had a seat in seconds and were waited on immediately. We will be going back. The food was great!
Food and drinks were amazing, recommend the Raspbellini, Dynamite Cauliflower, and Wagyu sliders. We went for the Anita Cocktail Brunch, what a fantastic way to start the day!!! Loved these queens ❤️ our server was great, food was great, brunch was great! Definitely our new go-to place in town, and well definitely be back for drag brunch!!
Stopped here for breakfast. I got the Lox bagel and boyfriend got the Scottish toast. Delicious! Our server was so kind and funny. Great way to start exploring the strip.
I just want to say Channel our bartender was the sweetest human being ever, who genuinely cares how you are doing. A beautiful person and a delightful encounter I will not soon forget! Ty you taking such good care of us sober ladies ( from Texas & Maine), for the extra pancake & for being lovely. Our food was good too & reasonably priced.
Great spot for lunch, brunch, or dinner. Food is delicious and they are always accommodating with pets or children. They offer water bowls for your pets or high chairs for your child. I havent had the chance to see a show here yet but they also put on shows.
My wife and I visited Provincetown today. Such a nice place to visit and walk around and explore. We stopped in at the Post Office Cafe for lunch. With it being such a nice day we chose to sit outside. The hostess was very nice and our server was very prompt in taking our drink order. We both chose the Seafood Cake. We also both ordered what we thought was a side salad. The salad arrived and we commented on the size (it was a good size). The Seafood Cake arrived. It is about the size of a 1/2 pound hamburger. It was tasty although it was a bit cold towards the middle but was ok. It is served on a bed of fresh lettuce and no sides. The way the menu reads is a bit misleading. We both thought we had the option of French fries or a side salad. Not so! The Seafood Cake is priced at $16 so with my wifes glass of wine I was expecting somewhere in the neighborhood of $40. I was shocked when we were handed a ticket for...$66.78. I saw that we had paid $12 each for the salad. I brought this to our servers attention and she explained that our order didnt come with the option of fries or salad. I pointed out to her how the wording led us to believe that it did. She expressed that she could see how that was misleading but offered no recourse. I asked to speak to the manager. I explained to him how the wording was misleading. He also agreed that it was misleading and mentioned that next week he would be re-doing the menus and he would make sure and change the wording! Even after pointing out how the wording was misleading and he agreeing that it was, there was no offer to make any kind of adjustment to our bill. To be mislead and to pay $12 for a very simple salad with no offer of recourse was sad. We paid a total (with tip) of $80.14 for a lunch of two Seafood (crab cake) and two salads. Much more than what it was worth! Very pricey!
We were lured in by the barefoot gentleman at the door with the promise of the best chicken tenders in town. Our 3 year old chicken tender connoisseur agreed their claim was accurate, having tried literally every other chicken tender in Cape Cod. The staff were super friendly and went out of their way to make the experience extra special for our toddler. The adult meals and drinks were delicious as well. Definitely our favorite place in Ptown! Cant recommend highly enough.
Great place to eat always! Just found out under new management and the new manager, Jack, was very helpful with questions as we were from the Sandcastle. Their web presence needs some work and we recommended someone who could help with that but absolutely worth going there - fantastic food and staff! I had the lobster benedict and my wife had a Greek omelet - both great!
Stopped for lunch today. Monday was pretty quiet. We ordered lunch a few minutes before the kitchen closed for the day. Everything was great. The best part was that I left my bag with some of our purchases at the table and left. It wasn’t until a while later I realized I did it. I ran back and they had my bag waiting for me. I really appreciated that. Thank you so much.
The service here was horrible. Went during the summer while on vacation. They spilled syrup all over a member of my party. The food was also just sub par. We went here for breakfast and the pancakes just weren’t good. I would not recommend coming here because they don’t really have anything going for them.
Show was entertaining. Drinks were strong. Price was fair. They changed the show time the day of but we accommodating to us. We also went for breakfast the next day and food was great
The flatbread and Portuguese Kale Soup were to DIE for! One of the VERY FEW places in town able to accommodate my husband’s shellfish allergy(also Tin Pan Alley which I’m told is under the same ownership). We ate there several times during our weeklong stay. Excellent service. Very happy 😊.
We went for brunch. I will say rhe service was excellent. All of the staff were very friendly. The food on the other hand was terrible. From the presentation to the taste we gave it a C-. We were a party of 3. One of us had been before and said it was just as bad then but had hoped it approved. None of us will be return. . As a special note the French fries they use were horrid. Limpy feel. Not crisp. Taste was off. None of us will be back unless we hear of major changes to the food. Staff would get a 5 thought. But we are paying for food. Skip this place. So many better places for good food.
It is an intimate and fun entertainment venue. Ive see so many great shows here. Paige Tuners 80s show is outstanding and hilarious.
So far on my Provincetown visit the Post office cafe and Cabaret was okay compared to all other restaurants I’ve been to. It wasn’t bad. I give it four stars. But the stand out wow factor could use some flair. The omelettes lacked even distribution of contents but were there on flavor and deliciousness but the potatoes were a solid failure. Tastes two days old and no amount of hot sauce or ketchup could make them edible. The service was great all around.
It’s a fun place with good food and great entertainment frequently. It tends to be very loud inside so I prefer to sit outside. The food is pretty tasty.
It was an okay place! It is expensive for the amount of food you get though. For a bowl of clam chowder, a plate of French toast, 1 beer and 1 lemonade it was just over $50. Staff are friendly though but seems like the 1 gentlemen that took our order is doing the majority of all the work.
Love this place. Unbelievable service and ambiance -made us feel special. Plus great breakfast!
New owner, New menu, new decor. Weve been going there for years, and always loved it, but this will be our last visit. For $80 we had an absolutely horrible lunch. My fish and chips was bland and the fries were cold and limp. My partner ordered the crab cake which turned out to be mostly breading and had no flavor whatsoever. Just a single, small crab cake and nothing else. No slaw, no greens. Just a crab cake on a plate.Never, ever again.
Went for breakfast. Seated quickly and hostess was very friendly. Service was good for a busy spot. Breakfast was ok. Not great. I ordered an omelet with sausage. Received a fairly small omelet (which they claimed was 3 eggs) with LINGUICA not sausage. Didnt realize it until half way through as that is when I actually got to the filling. Very lightly filled. Probably the equivalent of one link of sausge had it been sausage. Disappointing. Toast was one slice of bread cut in half. My wife had French toast it was ok nothing to write home about. The food wasnt horrible. But $50 for 2 for breakfast and you get a very small portion, not even 2 slices of toast. When I mentioned the mistake to the waitress she stated it was their mistake and my gain made it sound like I got something for nothing. how is it my gain when I didnt get what I ordered???
This place was great. The waitress was friendly and attentive. Food was hot and fresh. We got there at 11:30.. no wait to be seated. They offer some outdoor seating but it was getting too muggy. Nice menu selections. Reasonably priced. Definitely recommend this place.
This place has really good food overall, but the bartender was smoking went to smoke outside whenever he had a chance. There was a couple of times that we needed the bartender and he was outside, the drinks were also tasteless, tasted more like water then how it was actually supposed to taste. We said that we didnt want to pay for the drink because it was really bad, he started talking back saying that he wasnt allowed to take the drinks out, he made a hole scene about it, he told us not to ever show our faces there ever again, its not like we were going to anyways. Overall really bad attendance.
What appears to be a fun, sweet inviting spot, turns out to be a total bummer. We walked in enticed by the amazing live music, cute vibe and quickly felt unwelcome and treated poorly by whoever was tending bar, or appeared to be the owner. Jokingly, we mentioned shots and next thing we knew, the bartender brought us 3 “shots” in wine glasses, and so rudely forced them upon us. Then we were charged $42.00 not including tip for canned pineapple juice with a splash of well tequila. Maybe it was the fact clearly, we’re out of towners, or maybe it was my “fancy” jacket I had on that left the impression we had no clue what a good drink or kind service meant. Disappointing, rude service and cocky arrogant attitudes don’t tend to get us many good places. Cheers, this place blows.
The food was fine, portions were good- more of a greasy spoon type place. We waited 30+ minutes for a grilled cheese and hummus plate, and when we politely inquired we got some attitude. Then they discovered our ticket had gotten lost, apologized, and made the food right away. They did give us the option to go somewhere else if we wanted, having waited so long, which was appreciated. It was an OK place to stop for lunch.
Im a visitor to Provincetown though I grew up and live in New England. I had a craving for a hamburger. Beef is not something I typically eat so I knew I was looking for a place that was the best though I had no clue of where to reach out to. I was visiting with my pet AprilWhile walking by the town hall area right in the square, I asked a couple of gentlemen that were there if they could recommend a fantastic burger place! they immediately offered the post office cafe and explained to me how to get there. OMG, the Grass Fed Prime Beef was to die for. I forgot the crispy crunchy french fries for a delicious garden salad all for the same price. The staff, though busy were very attentive. I ordered a glass of Sauvignon Blanc to hold me over for my delectable lunch which I loved immensely. You should try it!! Oh, my pet April loved it too...
Food is decent… I just don’t get why every restaurant these days is playing 70s music. This is in an artsy town. You think they’d be a little imaginative. Play some smooth jazz… 40s… French Café music. Something other than 70s music.
Absolutely fabulous breakfast! What’s not to like about lobster eggs Benedict, perfectly prepared, sitting at a table outside with wonderful service and people watching? And positively the BEST Bloody Mary I’ve ever had in my life! Not too spicy, not too salty, just perfect.
Ate here breakfast and dinner. Was not dissapointed. Both Servers were Great and food was outstanding! Everything freshly made. Homemade Pastas, Lobster Roll was tender. French Toast at breakfast was amazingly filling but I couldnt Stop until it was gone.
Not a fan. I hadnt been in years and it will probably be years before I return. The older woman that sat us inside was perturbed when we requested rather than sit at the table in the dark back of the restaurant to move to one that was closer to the windows up front on a beautiful sunny morning. The male server was abrupt and almost rude under the guise of gay campy! Definitely inefficient. Multiple mistakes on what should have been a simple breakfast order. Extra charges from the bar on drinks we did not have. And the fresh squeezed orange juice was anything but. Again NOT a fan!
I would give this place zero stars if I could. Says they open at 8 am so we went for breakfast. Got there at 750 so we asked if we could look over a menu while we waited for them to open. We were handed a menu and took it out to the patio, sat at a table and chatted to ourselves for a bit as we waited for them to open. The waitress let us know that the kitchen was almost ready and shed be able to take our order soon. We said, thats fine, no rush. We were never pushy or rude what so ever. Then at 8:10 an older guy came outside and rudely stated that we we could not help ourselves to a table, they were not open, and implied we were not welcome. Seriously who treats paying customers like that!!!
A good place to sit down and have a meal. The staff is very attentive and kind. They accommodated our wishes to push together some tables so that we could seat 5.Ordered the portababella wrap without the feta and mayo, with a side of fries. The veggies in the wrap were fresh and tasty, the fries were a little stale though.Would come back again.
Saw a great show, but the cabaret is just bad. We saw Trixie Mattel, who was absolutely WONDERFUL! However, the venue sucks-first, the seating is wooden like church pews and there is no leg room! It was very uncomfortable. Second, when we were seated, we saw an insert/add which read In order to keep our costs down, we are requesting a two drink minimum...-SO NOT COOL. $4 each for water and ginger ale? Besides, we just came from dinner and did not want more drinks. There is a miserably small mens room with a line-why drink anymore? I dont remember the ticket price-it was maybe $30-and we were not told about a two drink minimum, so this was not acceptable. Talk about bait and switch. If the ticket price doesnt do it, then raise the ticket price. But to sell tickets and then to ask for $4 each for two drinks from each person, is just NOT COOL. Just raise the ticket price by $8 for Gods sake. But happily Trixie Mattel was fantastic so we got to see a great show, but the venue and required drink minimum just sucked.
Ive been eating here for breakfast since I was a kid. I absolutely love it. Food, drinks, service, and atmosphere is fantastic.I will say this, however, this is not a great place for groups. Its pretty cramped and the bar area is a joke. Ive never been here with more than 2 people (by design) so I get why some give it such negative reviews. The shows are great, as is everything else. But dont bring parties of 3 or more.
Offer a variety of shows at the cabaret. If you get the opportunity to see Poppy Champlin do, she is by far the best talent they have.Food is good, variety of entrees.I had the fish-and-chips, lightly battered, homemade French fries.
Been coming here every summer for 35 years with my family and now my grandchildren. This is the first year we will not be eating here due to the menu changes. We used to be able to get a really good steak and a huge plate of nachos.
We hosted a brunch for 30 people at the Post Office Café the morning after our wedding. The service was excellent and the food was delish! We will definitely return the next time we visit PTown!
Good food, pleasant service, space is very tight. I rated this establishment low because of an incident that took place the morning of November 2, 2013. I and three friends, all large men, entered the restaurant. There were several available tables: Three two-seat tables in front by the window, two two-seat high tables in back, and a table for four along the side. We requested two of the tables in front, pushed together. The bartender, a younger man with dark brown hair, told us we could not sit there because those tables were reserved for groups of two. We were instead directed to two high tables in back, to be pushed together. We ultimately took the table for four on the side, but it was extremely tight because we are large guys. No sooner were we seated at our cramped table, but a party of four was allowed to sit exactly where we wanted to be seated. Apparently this establishment is not concerned with accommodating customers’ reasonable requests or their comfort.
Loved it!!! Loved the man at the counter the most, I feel a little disrespectful for not knowing his name, but he is fabulous. The man playing the music he was great. Food was good. I will be back❤️❤️❤️
Had the chicken sandwich with pineapple salsa which is really delicious but its so hot in Provincetown and they had the doors and windows open I just I dont like restaurants that are too cheap to just put their air conditioning on already in the middle of these heat wave that were having
Fish tacos are awesome! Nice portion of wine to go with them. The hostess, Gail, talked Will into a collosal corned beef Reuben, excellent choice!. The waitress, Daria, was most cheerful and attentive. I recommend the Post Office Cafe on your next trip to Provincetown!
We absolutely love going to the Post Office Café for breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner. We have not ever been served anything other than what and how we ordered our food. This is our favorite Cafe. The Cabaret, hosts wonderful shows!!! From early afternoon into night time shows. Theres always something for everyone.
Want to give a real big shout out to Gina and Allan for their great personalities and excellent service. We have been going to this cafe` for decades and have always had the best food... Especially their famous Mudslides! 👏👏👏Thanks again for your hard work!Corky 🤠
Had my first lobster at the Post Office Cafe and loved it! Great gay vibe though there was a mixed vibe of families and tourists too. The lobster was pre-cracked which made it much easier to open and eat. Our waiter Augustine was a fabulous funny sweetheart and he makes a mean watermelon punch. Will definitely be dropping by the next time I’m in PTown!
I ordered steak and eggs and received a fatty steak which wasnt worth the time picking at to get good meat. Waiter kept forgetting about us forgetting water, coming over to us. When they did come over they were rushed. I dont know if I would go back.
Horrible service! Was by myself and passed by and decided to try this place out. Well I got sat and then completely ignored! They sat a group of four next to me and immediately came over to take orders and help them. I may as well have been invisible. From hearing of stories of food poisoning from friends after it was probably for the best. Stay away from this place and go to Spindler’s, bubala’s, Strangers & Saints or anywhere else on Commercial!
Seems like a good breakfast spot. Eggs, sausage, and taters were cooked correctly. Prompt refills of coffee and water. We were pressed for time and they expedited the order after a 15 order table a bit which was appreciated.
WOW! Those ribs were awesome, fall-off the bone done and more than enough for two people but I tried to eat them all by myself! The reeeses peanut butter cup pie for dessert was more than plentiful.
I go for the bar and music scene. Always great bartenders. Food is good. Sit down service available. Music can be loud. Outdoor seating during the day a big plus.
Location is good. Service was off. Immediately upon being seated our waiter starts telling us (my partner and I) that its too hot for my partners service dog and to try standing for 10 seconds on the asphalt barefoot ourselves and all that. We know. We did so minutes before walking over. So, I ordered pancakes and eggs benedict, the guy started saying my goodness, thats so much! You guys arent going to be able to finish it! Etc. I say okay, skip the pancakes. He starts saying I can get just two pancakes instead of three, I repeat myself, he keeps going, I say skip the pancakes a third time. He goes back in and comes out with, guess what; pancakes that I said to skip and the benedict. I would have sent the pancakes back if it wasnt for how small they were (about 5 around, which is even funnier given how he was talking about how much food I was going to get earlier.) The hefty dose of spinach between the english muffins and the eggs had turned the muffins completely soggy, eggs were cooked way past the point of being runny. Finish the oh-so-massive meal in about 10 minutes, want some more water. Waiter is nowhere to be found. My partner asks the lady up front if she can get us more water, she calls for the waiter (I think his name was Alan or Adam, didnt quite catch it). A different waiter brings us more iced water, then about 5 minutes later our original waiter comes out and gives us some (warm) water. Its worth mentioning though, everyone elses waiter seemed to be in a much better mood, and the one who brought us the iced water when Alan(?) failed to deliver was super helpful.
Great Martinis! Hilarious comedian! I dont know about the food. Last time I ate there was probably 20 years ago, but having stayed on business for so long under the same name, probablyly speaks well of the business overall.
Love this place! We had the swordfish and the steak tips last night! Phenomenal!
Absolutely horrible!!! I am just gonna give you facts. Entrees are over price comparing with the quality of the food. The fish was over cooked, grilled one side and then stemmed with a cover instead of cooking the right way. For veggies : frozen vegetables? ?? Are you kidding!!! Mash potatoes was so brown that probably keept it from last week. Finally my pasta was so soupy (instead of a creamy ),and the chicken so dry definitely not cooked that moment. Usually if you charge that amount of money at least you can do is to put all the effort. Never again!!!
Great food, service (thank you Mia!) and atmosphere. Very happy my wife and I decided to stop in. Highly recommend and would return next time were in town.
Amazing shows in a great venue! Check it out!Dont miss Randy Roberts...incredible performance!
Came here for a little bite to eat this weekend, experiencing what Ptown has to offer. We ordered the nachos and a couple round of drinks. The nachos were massive and the best I have had considering my new bedford home location. So much guac and so delicious. My first margarita was not good. There were way too many limes and it tasted like the rind. After that I switched to a long island and oddly enough that was spot on. Hubby had himself a long island and then an Oreo mudslide and both were spot on. There was a few things we def wanted to try so we will be back for a visit for sure.
Nice atmosphere and staff, but meh food -- especially for the big price. Rice was a little hard, veggies overdone, very small portions for the price. Those that ordered non-fried seafood in our group were particularly let down. Would probably not go back, but by far not the worst.
This restaurant has the best breakfast in Provincetown, maybe even the best breakfast in all of Massachusetts. Everyone is really friendly and they are responsible priced.Above the cafe is a cabaret room. You can see great little shows about $30. However, we where not told that there was also a two drink minimum so just be aware. When I was there I saw Raja Gemini (winner of Season three of Rupauls Drag Race) and she was amazing in her show Lush Life. This is a must stop for anyone staying in Provincetown.
Got yelled at as we got there for trying to sit at the bar, then were completed ognored for 5 monutes before being seated at the very end of an empty bar, only to be utterly ignored by the bartender who gave us on3 drink each and then ignored us to drink his own drink watch tv play on the phone or just straight disappear never to be heard from again. Were ignore by all the other staff finally manage to get our bill to see that its 50$ with no itemized list of what we were even paying for. Absolutely one of the worst places i have ever been to.
Excellent food! Very friendly and attentive staff! Ive been going to the Post Office for over 10 years now and have never had a bad meal. Highly recommended!
I would love to give 5 🌟 but our food came out like 40 mins after we ordered. We had fried calamari-was very generous portion and lobster roll was delicious.
Breakfast here was great and didnt seem overpriced until we got the check and their was an extra charge tacked on. We literally had to count the check and ask for it to be taken off. Watch out for extra charges on the hand written reciept!
Best show in the city. We have seen alot of Drag Shows traveling around with work, but Anita Cocktails show was histerical! And well performed! Great Drag, drinks and fun!
Worst service I’ve ever had. Took over 30 minutes to even take our food order, people who got here after us got their food before we ordered. Never got our drinks refilled in the HOUR AND A HALF we were here. Never knew who our waiter was suppose to be because someone different took our drink order, someone else helped us get the check and someone else brought us our food. Terrible service all together and would never recommend
The waiter/bartender is extremely rude. We were 2 parties and asked him to separate the check. Told us he could not and would not. All meals were combined together. All appetizers combined together. Had to get manager to separate it out.
Best breakfast place in downtown PTown! Great for people watching and delicious food!!
Stopped by here the other week for a quick late morning breakfast. Their eggs benedict was delicious and their staff was nice as and attentive. Recommended!
We attended the cabaret show upstairs (The Birdcage). Incredible talent, very good impersonations. HOWEVER, the volume was turned up so loud that I would call it downright irresponsible. Its a small venue, only a moron would think you need that much volume is needed to fill that space. We had to leave because of the pain in our ears.
Very friendly servers and very good foods here. Big portions and not too expensive. Dont need to wait for table in weekend. Definit comes back again.
Delightful atmosphere, great waitstaff and awesome food. Post Office Cafe has been one of my favorite places in Provincetown for the past 35 years.
Service was great, really liked the waiters. However, I was very disappointed in the quality of the lobster roll. It was more like overly-mayo-ed lobster salad with celery in it. Very much not a fan.
Posy Office Cafe is one of the best of Ptown. For any meal it is a must experience. They also have fabulous shows upstairs.I highly recommend
Go see a show!!! I am never disappointed! I saw Paige Turner and my face still hurts from smiling and laughing! This is a must-be-a-part-of in P-town!!!
Best people and FRENCH TOAST!
Had a deliciously hit coffee in this wet and dreary Memorial Day. The crowds had all jumped on the ferries and we had the place to ourselves. The hummus plate was a perfect afternoon snack.
Great quick lunch. As always great to see Carol guarding the door ♥️Update tonight included live music. She was great!
It’s a great place right in the strip to eat and see a show afterwards. Usually if you eat here, you can get discounted tickets. I saw a Diva show here that was great.
We waited 20 min before our drink order was taken and then it took another 40 minutes before they took our food order. While the food was decent, it was a ridiculous wait time considering people that got here after us got their food before we even ordered.
Had a delightful breakfast there this morning after a long walk from Truro. Staff was welcoming and enjoyed some nice conversation.... Bloody Mary was the best ever!! I will be back before this week is over!!!
We had a blast at the Anita Cocktail Variety Hour here! Cute little cabaret space and fun atmosphere!
We always come to the Post Office Cafe for lunch the food is GREAT, the location in town is perfect and the staff is GREAT!! We have also gone to the shows they have at their theater and would highly reccomend seeing them.
Great foodIntimate atmosphere and nice piano musicKristin, the owner manager is hands onDefinitely will go back
Dont go with Baby. They are not at all friendly if you show up with babies or without reservations.
This was nice... you have the choice of dining indoor or outdoor. Live solo music beside the bar, the food was good...I love it!!!
We ate breakfast there and the food was very good. The linguica and potato cakes were tasty. The ambiance was ok and the staff was friendly.
The reviewer that begins with ‘D’ needs to -Learn how to spell first offLearn how to treat service staff-sometimes ones self respect is worth more than a customer ripping them a new one for no reasonLearn how to act when he ‘tricks’ with a staff member (not I, but his server that am) the evening before if he is going to berate a bartender that was simply asking a questionCocky arrogant and nastyJust so this individual knows-Each table around him was appalled and extremely baffled by his behavior towards the bartender that daySoThanks for the reviewYou were treated with respect and kindnessSo the review was false
Loved the show and the space over all... But please put some cushions on those hard benches! 80+ minute shows on hard wooden pews is not so fun.
Decidedly mediocre breakfast. Deep fried potatoes. Just okay coffee. Not nearly enough cream cheese or salmon on a meh bagel. You can do better for the money in Provincetown.
What a blast! Staff was amazing and the performers were so engaging and talented. Great time was had by all!
Great breakfast, attentive staff. We brought our dogs with us and they were wonderful to them! Loved it!
I have Ben going to the post office caf me for years and no until this morning 8/7/19 have I been so humiliated by any staff anywhere. The server completely chastised me in the restaurant I open an very loudly. I will never eat there again- I am so embarrassed!!!
Food is AMAZING.... The drinks are AWESOME.... My particular fave is the Peach Bellini.... And Khris.... The entertainment downstairs.... Absolutely HYSTERICAL.... You need to go when you are in town!
Great breakfast. Everything was prepared perfectly. Tons of options. Fresh bread. Drinks and service were exceptional.
The show here Scharts Creek 2 was PHENOMENAL!!! I can say enough, you must see this!
Its horrible. The waiter was rude. And they took 25 percent tip from five people considering we our separately. Dont come here. We paid as much for our tip as one meal was. Its ridiculous.
Great food. Great service. Also saw comedy show in the cabaret. Highly recommend
Had dinner downstairs. Good food. Attentive waiter. Went upstairs to see Suzanne Westenhoefer. Hilarious...... Lots of laughing! Great night!
We had Jack today and he was beyond a sweetheart! Always good food and weather w perfect to sit outside!
Absolutely the best French Toast I’ve ever had.
Love this place and the staff. We try to come here every time were down in P-town. Absolutely 10/10 recommend.
Great little shows put on in this upstairs cabaret hall. Nothing fancy but usually great fun. 2 drink minimum during show usually
I love this lPlace. Amazing key lime pie. Famous fabulous very LGNTQI and straight friendly. Gender neutral potty.
I had a very good corned beef sandwich with a salad, a moderately good merlot, but the key lime pie was to die for.
Stopped in for lunch, had a power bowl. Food was good, service was good. Will return.
We come every year for bear week.the best food and prices in ptown.we cant wait for our daily bloody Mary BEST EVER .we cant find one like it anywhere here in Pittsburgh.. Dennis and Ron
Ryan our waiter was great. Food good. Saw Kristopher Francis and laughed so much my face hurt!
Had a great seat on the outdoor patio and enjoyed a couple of beverages on a hot summer day. The staff was extremely friendly.
Was there for breakfast and lunch today. Awesome food. The server she was great. And the lobster roll was awesome!!!
Its a bit dated inside, and the stage is definitely too small for a proper drag show...but it was still fun!
Wonderful little place. Great energy, awesome vibes. Will the bartender was the best!!!
Great breakfast great service! Walking distance from $6 dollar flat rate parking. Walk off the meal visiting tons of shops in the immediate surrounding area👍🏼
Waitstaff was OKWould Not let me make a Reseevation for a Permently disabled friend. Food was OK for $62 . Will not be back
Sat at the bar. Bartender Eddie was amazing. So much fun. I had the classic flatbread - delicious!
Friendly staff, great atmosphere, a little bit pricey but my food was fantastic. Didnt need catsup on my fries

Had the Power Bowl. Was good and quick. Service great. Say outside. Perfect night.
GREAT BREAKFAST!!!! Delicious, waitstaff was very friendly. Affordable. Could easily become a regular place to eat.
Great venue, fabulous performance! I hope @themamatits comes back for next season, because I cant get enough of her!
We go to the show every year. This was the best show ever. The guys put on a great and entertaining show. Very well choirgraphed.
We spent more than $75 for two bowls of kale soup and four cocktails. OUTRAGEOUS!
Great location, great food any time of day. Cocktails and cabaret at night Loved the Trixie Mattel show!
Surprisingly good and sitting street side was really great as was the food and the service.
Love it. Go every morning for breakfast. Nice outside seating right on Commercial Street. I love to people watch.
Inside tables need to be fixed from being crooked. Pretty annoying feature at the high tables. Otherwise, staff were amazing.
Went there for bfast with a friend. They do bfast very well and service was great to...nice place to stop by on commercial st to grab a bite
The food was ok, our waiter wasnt very nice, And kept serving us coffee with caffeine when my friends asked fue decaf
Consistently average breakfast. Good value, but nothing to write home about. Great service however.
I ordered a chowder and order french fries plus tax so I decided not to have it
Staff was awesome, food was delicious and the shows we saw were out of this world.
Breakfast was delicious. Table was a little small and uncomfortable to sit in.
Kris Francis has a great voice and he is hilarious. The food is great too. Great staff
Very, very friendly service, the food was great.
Beautiful location, eat outside if weather permits. Morning omletts are great, endless cup of coffee and great service.
MaleCall performers were fun and entertaining. Last act contains full nudity.
Hidden gem, has one of the best scallops dishes. Flavorful and rich.
Service was good, drinks were good. Food was not. Very disappointing.
Great food! No wait. Awesome friendly staff!
Always great food and excellent drink selection.
So fun! We saw Male Call and it was funny and sexy! Those boys are talented!
Yummy!Bloodys to die for!Awesome staffOutstanding food!
Stopped in for cocktail...bartender was great. Good personality and very friendly
Great place for all the best SEAFOOD and salads awesome staff and great nightly entertainment
Food was good, nice to sit against Commercial St and watch the going ons.
The renovation is stellar - the new ownership and management have returned the luster and wonderful reputation!
Great lobster Benedict! Super friendly and got to sit outside in the sun!
4.5 Great food, but a little pricey for the service. Nice atmosphere too!
Excellent fried cod and clam chowder. Bring the mudslide back!
Always have good drinks and tasty comfort food here, love it.
Awesome spot to watch a show! Bar in the back with service during the show.
Saw a very funny show. We enjoyed it very much.
Its a great place to start the day. Breakfast and a full bar available.
Horrible drinks , the bartender has no experience , he was clearly stoned , he cant deal with customers . Very RUDE
Food was good. Temperature was warm but not hot.
Super friendly staff, great atmosphere! Will definitely be back!
