Awesome little LGBT dive in the South Bay. Fast service and super friendly barkeeps. Also can’t beat a pool table and an outside “smoking section” when you need a break!Themed/events nights are always fun. Drag queens, karaoke, local DJ’s, etcAnd the drinks are really reasonable. I’d be here every week if I wasn’t an hour away lol
Great little gay bar with drinks and overall a fun time regardless of the occasion
Had my 21st here, everyone was super friendly! Dennis helped a whole lot and was very accommodating to my party! It was on a Thursday night, karaoke night, and the energy couldn’t have been better and everyone was having a great time (even my straight dude friends were up on the stage singing and having a blast!). Back patio is a perfect spot to sit and chat, since inside gets a bit loud, though it is open air so if it’s a cold night bring a jacket. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a fun but casual place and I will definitely be coming back soon!
This is a wonderful little tucked away establishment thats LGBT friendly and tolerant to all its patrons. They serve good drinks at decent prices, are very safe, private, and well-received by the community. One of the few gay hangouts available in the South Bay Beach Cities area, outside of Long Beach, Hollywood and Downtown, that tend to be a lot more risque in every sense of the word.Theyve been closed indefinitely due to the coronavirus, but theyre much missed by all their patrons, assuredly. OPEN SOON!!
A very fun bar with a chill crowd. They do karaoke on Tuesdays and Thursdays, always a good time. Strong drinks, unisex bathrooms with condom expensing machine, outdoor patio inside the building you can smoke in. No real food options nearby though. The Mexican place next door closes early and isnt open much
The Artesia Bar is fun and festive. The mood is always cheerful and lively, and everyone is always having a good time. On Thursday evenings, there is Karaoke night, and lots of patrons get up on the small stage and sing their favorite tunes. There is also a really good smooth jazz sax player, who plays instrumentals but also backs up some of the singers on their tune selections. Only thing is that I wish there were fewer Top 40 tunes being picked to sing, and more of the fantastic hits from back in the 60s, 70s, and 80s, because there was so much great music written then! The wine is good, and you always get a nice sized glass. Though it is considered a gay bar, you can go there if youre straight, too. Anyone can go there and relax. Its a fun place to hang out and unwind, so l recommend it!
Great bar. V low-key but like not trashy low key. Bartenders have always been really cool (they put up with a lot), and most of the time its my shenanigans. Great pour. Great prices (4/5$ well until 9 I think are the prices ).
Cute small neighborhood GAY bar with karaoke, pool table , smoking patio and good looking bartenders. Dive bar feels, but not dirty or dark enough to truly be a dive. Its a gay bar but wont make you feel uncomfortable.
I have not been out to a bar/ in awhile. Reason being is that I just wasnt having fun. Until the other night my sister and I wanted to find a simple place where we can get a drink and Dance (together). We found that place. The Artesia Bar. I started having fun as soon as I walked in. The people are great. Theyre friendly. I had the best time I had had in years...Definitely going back . I just might make this my place to go...
Love the atmosphere, the drinx were reasonably priced. Especially loved the cute bar tender Matt or Mike, hes the sexy one pedaling booze. :) I got the tap beer, verry fresh, cold, at demand. Had a fun time for my first time, especially, going loanly. Easy street parking.5/5
Ive never been here on a Monday. Tonight was amazing. Music, open mic...lgbt acceptance. Might be my go to night if they keep it up. Reagan the bartender kicked ot tonight. Dennis is amazing. Matthew and Andrew too. Pick a night and have fun....oh...theres Dakota too!
Used to go there all the time. Just went there and am clearly not wanted. Waited for 20 minutes saying “Hi”, to the bar tender… just ignored me. Don’t go here. They are too judgmental. Sad
Great bar, service and drag shows.
I wish I got the name of the douche bag bartender with cheaply dyed white hair but he was literally yelling at the top of his lungs telling people to get the eff out and it hadnt even hit 2am. Its sad that this is only gay bar in the community and have douche bags working there. Would never go back nor would I recommend. Just go elsewhere
Nice place. Awesome bartenders. Great service. First time here and im enjoying every moment of it. I will be back for sure. Clean place and everyone that came in very friendly.
Good fun little place.
Been going here for 30+ years. The current owners upgraded the bar and made it the great fun place it is.
It was a fun place but its gone to hell now just drag. It sucks
Love coming here to hang with friends and get some drinks! Bartenders work fast and are very personable.
Came for Halloween the people and staff were all very welcoming... karaoke was going off
Very cozy
Fantastic
My favorite bar!
We were grotesquely discriminated against when we asked to sing at Kareoke in Spanish music by Juan Gabriel and Gloria Trevi. Even the person in charge of Kareoke HEATHER aggressively yelled at us to leave the place and not to come back....Unfortunate that in the 21st century there are still people with a superiority complex and they treat the customer as in the age of segregation ....... We are already in contact with our lawyers and we have decided to sue, it is a matter of time. HEATHER needs to be taught a civics lesson in criminal court.....
