The roasted breadfruit was addicting. It tasted like a dry and nutty white yam. The bartender recommended a Disaronno and Bailey’s Martini, and all I can say is “WOW”!I will definitely return to try more things on the menu.

Took my husband here for his birthday because I heard it was a nice place. We really enjoyed ourselves. The bartender was very friendly. Food and drinks was nice. We will definitely come back.

I went to Sandz late on Sunday night and was happy they were still open, and so was the kitchen. I ordered the salmon with garlic mashed potatoes and okra. The salmon was very tasty. The mash potatoes did not have garlic. The garlic sauce was in a side container, and it wasnt tasty,so that got zero points from me. The okra was very good. The service was good, ambiance was good, so that would be 4 stars from me.

It’s good atmosphere for a night out with friends. There is a live band and by a certain time it’s more of a party. If you want to just go out to have fun & eat then I recommend after 10pm. If you are trying to at-least talk a little and hear each other then definitely go before the turn up.I got the salmon with mash with butter sauce which was good. The veggies could of been cooked more. The crab cake was good. Overall and cool atmosphere.

The food was good but the music, why is it so loud? Its like my eardrums were about to burst. everyone at the table were asking for it to be turned down we couldnt even hear our server. And the bathroom was not clean and only one bathroom. You guys have bugs in here as well.

This location was okay. It was my birthday and my friend, suggested the location. I could return again but its not a pressing desire. It took us about 45 min to get our first appetizer plate because everything we ordered wasnt available but that wasnt told to us until 10 min after ordering the item. So on our 3rd try we finally lucked out to an item that they did have. They also didnt have the drink I initalially ordered. Maybe it was because it was a Sunday night and they hadnt restocked or didnt want to restock 🤔. The music was nice bit a little too loud. You have to talk loudly to the person at your table to hear what is being said. By the time we did get our food though it was good.

Absolutely 💯 authentic Jamaica food here. The chefs and staffs are amazing, generous and friendly. If you are looking for down to earth food, Sandz is a no wrong choice.

We made an excellent choice for our Friday dinner. Our server was exceptional. I have food allergies and he went above and beyond to meet my needs. The food was tasty and of the right portion. We will be back soon.

I visited this place for the first time on June 7, 2021. They’re open late and we’re playing the best R&B music, service was super slow- I mean it was late (like midnight 😯) on a Monday night. Once our waitress began talking to us more, she made some great food recommendations and told us the best nights to return. These honey garlic shrimp were delicious!! I would definitely return and recommend

I didnt eat, but I went to try their drinks to do a review .The place was some what empty, the table that I was seated at was shacky, The waitress wasnt pleasant or mean, an attuide of not wanting to be thereI asked for a Blue Long Island ice tea. When I abserved what liquor she was pouring, I went over and asked her what kind of liquor was that? She said, She showed me the bottle. I said, Okay, I dont want to get a headache. Thats bottom shelf liquor. My apologies, I should have said topshelf . So I dont want that she said okay but Im going to have to still charge you I already made it . To my suprise, I have to countless bars , lounges never been told that one before. So my advice is dont forget to say topshelf first.

The staff were welcomimg upon entry till we left. Very pleasant and paid attention to our requests. We came in to dine and our expectations were superceded with the ambience, entertainment and FOR CERTAIN the food!!!!! We came back the very next day! Thank you and Keep it up @Sandz Bar & Grill. The experience was not what I expected. I was forced to dine from their brunch menu with limited choices. The sound system was too loud and though we asked them to turn it down a bit that didnt happen

Ive heard about the place and decided to go with an out of town friend on a Saturday night. The food was delicious, the ambiance and music were in point. We had friendly service also. The only negatives to our experience was them not having several things on their menu and them never bringing a side dish I ordered. I asked our waiter upon packing our food to go to be sure not to charge us because the plantain never came and they didn’t charge us. Overall it was a nice experience.

The food was great!! The atmosphere was good and dj was awesome. He played some good Jamaican music.The place was definitely vibing on a Saturday evening. Our server was also very nice. I had oxtail, and they were falling off the bone soft. My boyfriend had a snapper. It was small, he said, but tasted good. Their saltfish Fritters were also good. Could have had a bit more saltfish in it, but nevertheless, it was good.

Such a bad experience for our first time eating here, driving from the bronx.BAD- I ordered my food the same time as my mother, but didnt get served til 20 mins after her dish came out. My fish was warm, vegetables, plantain, and rice and peas were cold. We spoke to the manager who gave my waitress my plate back. It took anther 10 to 15 min to get a new plate of hot food back, and some how she forgot vegetables and plantain all together, and were the cold item on my plate.Also, I must mention my Moscow mule. I told her as soon as recieved my drink there was no alcohol in my drink, she replied that the ginger beer was strong and that was why I could not taste it! I should have said Lady if you dont stop lieing. My mother was still waiting for her main course during all of this. She waited 25 to 20 minutes for her meal after I recieved my remade dish. Her dish came with warm vegetables as well, cold unseasoned mashed potatoes. She was so upset and just wanted to leave. So we got a togo container.WORST- our bill came and I was charged for a side dish of bammie I never recieved dispite asking twice for it. The menu online and in the restaurant stated my fish dish was 23.94, but on the bill I was changed to 26.00. When I made her aware of both issues, I was told it was management who made the change to the price, and dispite my pointing out the fact the online price and the paper menu said 23.95, she said its 26.00 both of those were wrong and its a management change. She would only remove the dish that never came.As a person that worked the resturant industry for 7 plus years Ive never seen such lack of customer service. This is a disappointment coming from the bronx.

This is a really great place for late night drinks, nice Caribbean music, there drinks are amazing with great prices, there drinks are worth it. BUT customer service can take forever, they put you to sit and forget about you until you have to call them to place an order. Other than very slow service it’s a great time for late night drink since they close around 3am.

I don’t normally leave reviews but I feel compelled as the take-out food was very good.Absolutely amazing place to eat, I will be making a reservation once the dine-in section is open! 10 of 10 would recommend.

If youre looking for A lively place with good food and music this is your place. Dj played great music, and the curry goat was amazing. Pepper shrimp was way too spicy where I couldnt even eat it, & I love spicy , but that was too much, I had heads and pieces of scotch bonnet in my plate, if the spice was down a little it would be good. Codfish fritters were good too.Ambiance is loud. But good, not a place for a romantic intimate dinner.

Would think twice before taking a large group as two separate gratuities were added to the bill. 15% for gratuity and a separate 18% for large group and then feeling like you need to also tip server in cash as you are told the gratuity added is taxed and they dont see that amount. Wont return.

Went on a Friday night. Food and service was good. Its a small space with the tables close to each other.music was a bit loud but apart from that it was a good evening.

Last night we celebrated our partner who is heading to serve our country. The staff was great great great. I want to personally thank the manager Richard for allowing this to happen. He worked with me every step of the way planning the get together and I so appreciate it. Thank you Richard and your lovely waitresses. I’ll definitely visit again . Awesome night .

I went there and I brought jerk pork! My mistake is not checking it before I left I got home and it was not cooked! It was raw! Omg I am so disappointed!

Had a birthday night out with my friend. Love the vibes, music just need to have more room space for dance , because when the music sweet, you have to get in your feet. I stayed until closing,thats how good it was.

I dont know where to start. When I arrived at the restaurant there was no hostess their to greet us. We were waved over by a gentleman sitting at the bar who told us to choose a seat. We opted for a seat near the window. We arrived at 5:20 pm. Ill admit it took us a while to decide what to eat, but the waiter didnt return to our table for about 20 minutes. We placed our drink order and the waitress returned with one napkin. My friend had to go into her bag to find another napkin. We placed our order and waited about 45 minutes for our food.As a sat by the window, we were in full view of a group of men rolling weed and smoking in front of the restaurant. This was not the dinning experience we expected based on the reviews. The food was ok, but the service could definitely be better. Sandz Cafe you have to do better. As a people, our businesses dont survive because we dont prioritize the customer experience. I will not be returning to this establishment.

Great restaurant for fresh seafood, soulfood & live music. Be sure to try their fruit punch. It is freshly made and Devine is the only word I can conclude to describe.

I cant remember the waiters name. He was working on August 31 during the afternoon, but he was very friendly and made sure we were enjoying our meal. I cant believe Ive driven past there for 13 years and have never tried the food. The food and the presentation was excellent.

The food was so tasty. My husband and I visited for his birthday. We had oxtails rice an peas, curry goat. The rice and peas taste like they cook it on wood fire. The owner is the best. I strongly recommend this place.

They were under construction. They were opened but the grill took too long for food. It must have been an off day.

The Rum Punch was very good. They didnt have most of the dishes we wanted to order. When the entree we were able to get arrived, it was warm. Appetizers were burnt and cold.

Last week my take out order was disappointing. The fish tasted bland along with the rice and peas. When I opened the container, it looked as if the container was dropped or fell over to the side because the rice and peas were all over the fish. It didnt look like a well fixed plate. Maybe they rushed it but I was disappointed. Oh and the salmon had bo sauce when I asked first extra. 😩

It is very unfortunate that tonight I came out on the night after my birthday and that we have waited an hr and a half to not receive our food orders except our drinks. They use a system that requires you to order through your phone and pay through it. The only issue is that their service within the building in very poor and that it takes an honest 10 mins or just the get through. Im very disappointed in the service at this establishment and I wish that they would be more understanding to the issue of their system because other people have walked out due to waiting to long. At least open up your wifi so that people can use it.

Was packed. Second time there. At first visit was short remained in front took pictures of birthday friend and had a Jack Daniels. Service was quick and friendly.This time it was Karaoke and we had quite a contingent of semi-pro singers. A slim lady belted out a close rendition of a WH classics. The audience was groovy and very cool. Great evening.

They seem to be short staff my server took forever to collect my check, I had to get up and go to the cash register and find someone and my bill and leave.....the jerk chicken was good but rice needed to cook more.

I came to the establishment to support my fellow community and jamaican heritage. However, once seated we waited approximately 15 minutes score our waitress came to take ou therefore. We ordered drinks and entree same time which other patrons came after us and they were brought their food and drinks before us. The waitress then attempted to give me a drink that was already at the. bar upon our arrival at this time it’s well over 40mins … It was not a fresh drink which I saw the bartender attempting to add more and then serve to me. I immediately told our server to take it back and make a fresh drink my guest did not get what was ordered and everything she wanted was not available and my rice was cold and didn’t taste fresh whatsoever. I am highjy disappointed by the service and the food quality. Sandz must do better for what we are paying for. I do frequent many restaurants and i would not rush to come back anytime soon .

This place is amazing. I went on a Thursday they had a live ban playing reggae music it was good. But if you need seating I suggest going early. But overall very good.

Curry goat is normally my go to dish when I go to Jamaican restaurants. I must say that I was definitely not disappointed with the Sandz curry goat. Tender and flavorful, I enjoyed every single bite. The staff was friendly and attentive. Definitely recommended!!!!

Not the place you want to be .Went to have a few drinks with friends. And even tip our waitress $100. I walk out and left my coat and a employee stole it Management was no help . They claim they have no access to the video .

Decent spot for Caribbean Vibes. Service is surprisingly good. I mean the staff are amazing. But the layout of the space is a miss. It feels clustered, like sardines in a can. Food is yummy, so thats always a plus.

Delicious food, friendly and great atmosphere. Chicken soup was just spot on delicious. Steamed snapper was delicious 😋 and loaded with fresh colorful vegetables. Ill give this place a 10. Definitely will reorder from this restaurant.

Went for appetizers and drinks. The coconut shrimp was good but did not come with a dipping sauce. Rum used in the mojito was subpar. Order an extra shot because I thought they forgot to put rum in the drink. The waitress brought be something that smelled like rubbing alcohol. Every disappointed expected to get Jamaican rum in a Jamaican restaurant. Did not order another drink went somewhere else.

Was my first time and the Experience was good!! However; We had two issues; 1 they took forever with our drink and we got the appetizer with our main course. Over all, I ENJOYED the live band 💃🍸will definitely be going back.

This is my second time going here and it’s always amazing coming here. Sucks I didn’t take pictures of the food and the ambiance, however take my word for it it’s a nice vibe inside. The music is amazing! The food is great. Both occasions I visited the staff were professional and welcoming. Always checked on us to make sure we were great and if we needed anything else. The pricing of the food isn’t bad, pretty reasonable. So I will definitely go back.

The food was awesome and amazing❣️ I loved the ital stew with the delicious corn bits 😋 and steam fish!!!! The pumpkin pieces were like, Wow!!!! The sauces were flavorful!!! Better than Golden Krust, Silver Krust, etc. The steam fish was excellent, too!!!!!❤️

The menu is limited my experience was ok, nothing to talk about.

The ambiance was nice. The Dj played quite well for a Sunday night. We were seated by some guy(!he wasn’t dressed like the other staff/employees) once seated we waited about 10 minutes 😏 no one came to acknowledge us or ask if we were ready. I tried calling one of the employee/staff but she was busy on her phone. I then got up from where we were seated and went to the bar. By the way it was empty about three tables with different groups of ppl when we got there. Once at the bar we were quickly approached we ordered our drinks and appetizers, which was very tasty. The server however was not attentive didn’t come over unless I called. After about three drinks in thats when they finally came without being called to ask if we were ok. Suggestion!! be more attentive to the customers at all times.

I celebrated my sons graduation dinner at Sandz Bar & Grill and I must say this was one of my most memorable moments. I made reservations for a large party and everything was perfect. The food was on point and fresh ( we had to wait a bit because it was made to order, but worth the wait), the drinks were delicious and the dj did not disappoint. We had a wonderful waitress, named Simone who was very attentive. Just to top it all the manager came over to check on the service and thanked us for coming. Thank you Sandz for making our night special. We will be back very soon!!!!

First I must say Im very disappointed with the food this time around I eat at the restaurant 2 time last year when I came to visit and the food was so delicious my friend told me they change owner but I still decide to go and try the food but the experience was wack even the out door look was not pleasing to the eyes dirty plate sit there forever to be removed as if they are short staff please guys put more effort in the preparation in the food when serving not to mention the vegetables placed in the food very distasteful dont even know to describe the taste

Went on a random Tuesday with boo and had the time of our life thanks to the DJ whom was totally versatile and played great old school hits from r &b to house music. Tacos was fresh and delicious. Drinks on point. That night was also karaoke so it was fun to see people get the balls and courage to go up. All was actually really good. I left dancing out the door. I had to give it 4 stars because the waiters in there are not well mannered or professional. If it was just 1 I would have left that out but it wasnt so it needs to be known that this could effect ones business or mood.

Ive heard about this place before and went for the first time yesterday. The staff is very friendly and the Bailey Colada was REALLY good. I gave 4 stars for the food. The food was good as well but the rice was too dry for my taste. I will come back though.

Service here is mediocre and that’s an understatement. It literally took 20 mins for a waiter to assist. This place is under new management and I’d avoid it at all cost. If I could give a negative rating I would.

The atmosphere was very good. The music vibes was off the chain but the food service was terrible.There were only 2 waitresses serving over 75 customers. The one who served us took over an hour to bring our initial drinks and another hour and a half to bring the main course to our table. Then when the meals arrived, they were all lukewarm.She never returned to our table to see how were doing, to ask if the food was good nothing not even to offer us another drink....The service was no good...very disappointed 😔.

The WORST customer service EVER!!! When they first opened the service and food was so good that my sister and I would go at least once a week. Now, the new waitresses that they have are super slow with bad attitudes. I dined in with 3 friends and our food came out at different times. After asking over and over for a glass of water, I finally got it after 20 minutes. After all of that, we had to wait 20 minutes to pay our bill. We had to go inside and ask the waitress to take the bill and money. Upon entering, she was sitting behind the bar talking. Needless to say, I will not be returning until they get a completely new wait staff! I will say that the food is still very good.

This was a place that I always visit with friends prior to COVID-19. We decided to return for dinner yesterday sat outdoors.We we’re served drinks promptly but waited for food 30 minutes. I was served half of order and was informed that the rest was coming.Well the rest never came and I am still waiting. Waitress kept apologizing but to no avail because the rest of food ordered never came. I requested to speak with one of the two managers and was informed that they will be here shortly, none showed up.This is very distasteful and poor customer service. I am quite disappointed in Sands.

Ordered a Miami Vice Drink, my host didnt order with alcohol, I asked, she was apologetic and tried to get me another. The so called manager refuse to take it back and give a new one! My friend took it back to bar area and left it. Mr manager had the nerve to say whether we left it there or not he was charging us, I had to tell him I want to see him try! I tell you its always our people! The owner for this establishment is such a simple, polite, generous and fair man, to have people like this managing his place will be bad for his business!

The atmosphere was right. I hadnt been there before covid, however the outdoor set up was NICE. We got there after 6:30 pm, the music started not long after. GREAT tunes were played, I wish there was a dance floor. The drinks were good, the food was really good. Service was a little slow. My companions (party of six) almost forgot what we ordered by the time it came. That meant it wasnt precooked to us, so were more than satisfied. I had the two Woo Woos and four Moscow Mules (dont mind me, I drink like a fish, I recommend them if you like vodka. We are definitely going back.

The food and drinks are excellent. The ambiance is a relaxed Caribbean environment. The service is slow as molasses, but worth the wait. Listen to the music, talk and observe. Good for a date night or drinks with friends. You may even see some dancing! I sure miss dancing!

The food is good but its dirty in there

I ordered a ginger ale and got seltzer water. Ordered henny with pineapple and got coconut, how I do not know. It took almost 2 hours for our food and it was cold when we got it. When asked for a manager we were told no manager or supervisor was there.

They have rodents inside the establishment which is nasty. The service is not good.

It was nice and cozy and good vibes. The Dj was friendly and spins good great music. The waitresses were polite.

Terrible service no served us for 30 minutes. Very loud could turn it down a notch. 2 hours till the food was served and it was cold and mediocre. If i could give it 0 i would. Music selection was the only good thing. To be so expensive this is ridiculous. Do better.

Honestly could not have loved the vibe more. Once the waitress realized we werent served we WERE HELPED AMAZINGLY. The owner and everyone seems to care! The vibe and the music is right. The drinks are great id recommend a margarita or a Malibu bay breeze. You must try the Calamari its literally the best Ive had. Tacos are really fresh with everything if you use the sauce :) youll be happy. Pasta, Great. Pineapple chicken, great. MY FAVORITE IS THE GOAT OH MY MY. They have karaoke night and live bands super happy all on all. Jamon was our waiter hes really thoughtful and helps!

Visited restaurant in mid February dor the first time..Appetizers and Entree was pretty good. Our Server (woman)..SUCKED!!!...spoke with Manager who immediately changed our server and her replacement (man) was AWESOME..thanks to the Manager who came over and apologized and offer us a comp on our next visit...

This was my second and my last time eating at this restaurant. The first time I ordered Rundown salmon which was cooked with powdered coconut milk. This made the salmon gritty. Yesterday, I ordered grilled salmon, why the chef put sauce all over it and it was nasty. I only took one bite and the waitress refused to remove it from my bill. Birthday dinner gone wrong.

I’m very upset This is my first time ever coming here with my sister and cousin. We came here at 7pm or probably a little before . We were seated we decided on out door sitting . We ordered our drinks we got them at a decent time . My virgin pina coloda had no flavor . We ordered our food the same time as our drinks .It took so long for our orders to come over a hour . My sister food came first and my cousins food came after . I was still waiting for my food . I asked where is my food and then they finally told me there is no more jerk chicken ! They wasn’t going to tell me from what it seems until I asked where’s my order . I’m not satisfied I ended up getting honey spicy wings which is too hot and the white rice had no gravy I asked for oxtail gravy on my rice . It was dry i wasn’t satisfied They even took long for the waitress to come for the payment this place.Through it all despite the wait I was giving my food for free

The vibe was nice the drinks was fantastic. Our food took forever to come out, had the calamari was way to oily. The server had no solution for us and charged us even tho we didnt eat it. Letting us know that who ever can solve the problem wasnt on staff. The music was great and a nice vibe but the food was sketchy.

The service was great! The fish bowl Long Island iced tea was amazing and the food was even better. Henny wings were fresh hot and crispy and the oxtails were tender and flavorful. Everything was well worth it. My new gem and go to for Jamaican food in Jamaica. Yes!

While it took “forever” for the food to arrive… it was worth the wait. Deelish! Palmer was the bomb and made us feel so welcomed. No birthday cake available but all is forgiven. I’ll be back😍

Fantastic atmosphere. Host was extremely personable. The table was somewhat wobbly but it was overlooked by all that was happening. The food is excellent. Authentic Jamaican cuisine! It took a while for my daughter to get her drink order but again we overlooked it. We will certainly return.

I wanted to like it. The greater and waitress was the only good thing about this restaurant. I would advise the restaurant to clean everything . The menus and tables where stained and sticky. It was too dark and loud. There was no social distancing. No barriers or separation between tables. The food tasted like left overs from last week. Will not eat here again.

My family and I came here to eat because we always pass by.The food had flavor and was delicious. Brown stew fish was seasoned well,my daughter enjoyed her curried goat,the only problem is that the mac n cheese looked dry on top the cheese wasnt melted but it had a good flavor.Drinks are good.Would go back again maybe in the evening.

This was the second time going to this restaurant. First time the food was good and the Boss came out and introduce himself. So I went back there on a Saturday night. I was totally not satisfied with the service. We placed our order from 7 am, we did not get the first course until 10 pm and the main meal at 11pm. I told them to cancel my meal. They only had two servers and that they were back up in the kitchen. The Boss was not there. They had a manager, no one came over and said what was going on. The dj had to say something to the waiter. Saturday is your busy night, this should have been taken into account the man power needed. Eight of us went there. There needed to be a table accountability. The food is still good the seven say. The Boss needs to go back to basic. One good thing is that they took off a discount of 1/7 of the total cost.

Nice atmosphere ,staff are friendly & hardworking. The chef is a waste, the food served cold & under prepared. They did not clean the chairs before seating another party. The waitress over worked & cannot keep up There should be a mixologist & drinks should be flowing faster while we wait for food. Close temporarily & train the team they are good ppl but not properly trained. The guys bringing the food should be trained to do more than only bring food. I wasn’t impressed but there’s potential to be an amazing lounge.

DO NOT ORDER FOOD ONLINE! Im giving one star because I ordered a large chicken soup and it was just the broth nothing in it. I ordered it through Doordash so with all the fees it came to $15 which I didnt mind but $15 just for broth is crazy. I called the restaurant and no answer. Needless to say I was very disappointed. The restaurant could have contacted me to say that it was just broth. This was unacceptable never again

Very homely and warming atmosphere. Very attentive & nice staff. The owner makes sure he personally greet his customers & make everyone feels welcome & at home. Arrived around 8:30 on a Saturday. Took a half hour to get a rum punch that wasn’t cold. Took well over an hour to get an appetizer and decided to cancel the main course and leave. The music was nice but it was so hot inside. During Covid times there should be better air circulation with that amount of people in once place. Total experience was horrible.

I must say this a great hang out spot, the food was tasty and served in like 20 mins after taking our order and the drink is a 10. The owner greeted everyone and is always pleasant. The staff and team I must commend they are always friendly and provided good customers service. Love it here and I will be back.

The atmosphere was great ..We enjoy the food and the drink. The waitress was outstanding! I cant remember the waitress name she is young ,her hair is black natural afro hair .. She will remember us.. We are the three ladies that came in around 10:15 sit in the corner for most of the night.. She didnt rush us at all.The music was ok but overall we enjoy .Oh we were greeted by I think is the owner..Very nice guy. Great place

I attempted to make reservation for a party of 10 for a birthday party, and whoever answered the phone was extremely rude. She was screaming at me over the telephone, and she sounded overwhelmed. This lady was very unprofessional! Instead , I will search somewhere else to celebrate my friend’s birthday.I inquired about the price to make reservation, she screamed $ 150 dollars!

Why on earth would a chef leave the shells on for a shrimp taco? The shrimp was also overcooked. Easily one of the worst shrimp tacos I’ve ever had. The drinks were good and for $25 a fish bowl, which are now served in pitchers it’s worth the price. We had really good service as well, it’s just a shame the food wasn’t better.

3 of us ate adequate portions of good flavored Jamaican food. Our server Sharisse was very friendly and professional. The ambiance was great for Sunday dinner and the DJ kept spinning good music. C u soon. I look forward to more good vibes❤️

Went on a Saturday around 12 and the place was swinging. There was a live DJ who played lots of Caribbean music, the food was so flavorful and well presented. Drinks were good too, but more bartenders were needed -- my date wanted to keep a tab running but bartender requested pay-as-you-go, claiming that he had many open tabs and he was alone. Overall great vibes!

I wish I could give them 0 star.... where do i start? I went there with 5 coworkers, we were seated outside by choice no one came to over table we literally had to be begging someone to take our orders almost one hour.... the drinks took forever then we had to beg again to order our food. That place is a mess, we ordered our last drinks which we never got so we canceled and asked for the bill that took another 30 mins smh. It got better the waitress took our card and didn’t return and they were over the capacity inside so we couldn’t go inside to find her i had to beg another waitress to go get our card. I will never go there again. So many people left after sitting there waiting for drinks or food.

Horrible......horrible....horrible. If you are looking for the worst service experience you can possibly find then this is the place for you. The managers attitude is pretty much he doesnt give a damn if you come back or not. And this is the only place I would recommend you come with a full stomach. You should be hungry again by the time someone notices you and your food arrives. Waited 2 hours on a not so busy night till I eventually had to walk out and go somewhere else to eat. Dont do it to yourself. You have been warned about this place.

Music was great but waiting over 2 hours for food is ridiculous. Servers ignored my party for close to an hour before we were finally able to flag down a buss boy to grab a waitress to take our order just to wait another 30 for drinks never again.

Wife and i went there for date night last Saturday. the food n service was excellent. music was not overwhelmingly loud. my only regret was we didnt sit outside.

We came on a Friday night. Drinks and music were good. There was a long wait time for food service. We ordered rice & peas with our meal & were served white rice. No one bothered to let us know that they ran out of rice & peas. I had jerk chicken & my bf had stew chicken. Delicious jerk sauce but my chicken was the chicken back. No real meat. Stew chicken was average.

Sandz is the place to be. The customer service is great and the food is even better. The authentic Jamaican vibe will have you coming back every time. Love it.

We waited forever to be acknowledged and sat down. Than we waited forever again to get water, than food. The food was decent but I wouldnt return due to the lack of attention for customer service. I wouldnt even recommend. Grab carry out from your local carribean spot cause thats all your getting here minus the wait time

The food here was very good I had the mac and cheese.😋 the fried calamari, cod fish cake was delicious. If you like your fish with a little eell they make it. So far the dishes I tried were on point. Planning to try more of there menu.Now the hostess that we had was friendly, socailable and a great server and dancer.

Went to the restaurant at 5 pm and place was empty and cold. Bar maid named Simone I believed acted like she didnt care whether or not we were there. Didnt want to greet us. She checked us in with the temp sensor and that seemed a hassle. We ended up leaving after hearing good things about the food. Never going back

The food was very good. We had to dine inside because the outside dining area wasnt open until 6pm. Nice music also. I was pleased.

I went here to celebrate a friends birthday. Although the music they were playing was great, it took nearly 2 hours for us to get our food. I will not be returning to this restaurant.

The food was better than the customer service that we received😀 Went with a party of 10 and there was only 1 waiter (we had reserved too); the waiter was visibly overwhelmed and it was chaos with the check afterwards, with items that werent ordered included.... After about 45 minutes, we were able to sort out the check situation🙄 And they are a bit pricey. Anyway, Ill end with the food tasting good so it might be worth the aggravation. I ordered the brown stew fish and rice and peas and there are many other equally good choices and everyone enjoyed the food. Nice place to have a little celebration with good tasting jamaican food.

Visited on Mothers Day. Very popular and crowded. However they managed reservations well. Food and Drink was Awesome. Will visit on a less busy day! Ambiance was Splendid.

I visited this place for the first time with my friend, we were going somewhere else but at to end up here. This place was the bomb 💣 🙌 😍. The food was sooooo good. Very tasty, will seasoned. Chef Ben did an excellent job 👏 👏. However, the service was very slow 🐌 but we were compensated for it. I will definitely be visiting again ☺ 😊.

While I did a to go order I would love to dine in once the pandemic is over. The food seems it would taste even better if served immediately. I ordered the hot and spicy wings which were really good along with the cajun shrimp and the fried shrimp appetizers which were equally delicious. For the main course we got the fried snapper which was good but the side dish of rice was a little grainy. I think it was the beans that might have been a tad undercooked. I felt for the price of $22 which is the average at most restaurants for snapper the fish was small in size but that might have attributed because it was a take out order. Would definitely come back to try for a sit down dinner.

First let me start by saying, this worst place I have ever tasted Jamaica food. Usually if I experienced horrible food I would sum it up to the cost of the food being cheap, but I ordered was the Oxtail that cost $20 and I tipped the waitress 4 dollars. This food was so bad I had threw it away.

It’s now 1 in the morning , I ordered my food yesterday .. literally at 10:30pm. I’m just now getting it 😑. The food is good but nah son never again. Order 5 hrs ahead of time if you want your food “on time”

Went on a Thursday night. there was a live band. music was great. had the rasta pasta...delicious. Really nice vibe. only thing our server sucked. would have been 5 stars otherwise.

The worst ever ! Went for a birthday dinner party about 18 of us. This is a 2 stars restaurant but charging 5 stars money. I paid 50 for a medium size container of food rice and peas and salmon. I was so upset when I realized the price that I took my food to go. The taste was ok wasn’t great. $50 for a plate of food you could get at any Jamaican spot for $15. Don’t get me wrong a meal for $50 is okay depending on where ur dining and what it consists of. Never again!!!!

It was my first time here I recently moved into the neighborhood and was driving pass one evening and saw the establishment it looked really amazing so my spouse and I decided to stop by we had a good time food was really good and enjoyed the music, all in all was a good evening.

I am very disgusted with Sandz based on the treatment I received today. My fiancé and I went to Sandz, we ordered our meal around 6:30ish, and did not receive a piece of our order until 2 hours later. We canceled the order, but the shrimp still came to the table, thinking the shrimp was complementary since it took 2 hours to come. After speaking with the manager, I asked him if he was willing to lose two customers that have been coming to the restaurant for years, and he then said, The world will still be turning.Needless to say, we will never be back!!!

Worst restaurant ever, had to wait 30 mins before someone brings a menu, then it took another 30 mins for someone to come take our order, until eventually nobody came to take our order, the waiter was nice enough to give us a table inside to sit, but 2 tables of people arrived after us and got menus and drinks before and we just sat and waited before deciding to get up and just leave!!! THE WORST RESTAURANT I HAVE EVER BEEN TOO, WILL NEVER RECOMMEND OR COME HERE AGAIN!!

The food is super expensive and the presentation was very poor. I wouldn’t even present food to my Dog looking like this! I paid $19.55 for a oxtail I receive 4 tiny pieces of oxtail not only was the pieces tiny bit it was pure FAT!! .I called the restaurant to make a complain and the manager was very dismissive and had a very smart mouth with me. To make matters worst she’s gonna tell me that “Oxtail comes with fat and it is what it is”She also suggested in this time with Corona, that I should return the food if I don’t like it and they will share me a new one.Who on God’s earth accepts food after it leaves the restaurant. This had me second guessing.I would never recommend anyone to this restaurant. Horrible experience!

Amazing food. The Jerk Chicken is the best I’ve had in New York City. I can’t recommend Sandz cafe enough.

They have outdoor seating which is great, the DJ was kind of dry with the music towards the end. It took a very long time for speciality dinners, if you choose curry goat, oxtail or stew chicken you will get your food right away.

Food is good...however, they NEED TO TURN THE MUSIC DOWN....oh my goodness the noise is absolutely ridiculous...you cant event hear the person/persons at your table.....and you have to yell the waiters/waitress to order.

The food is a 10/ excellent but the service sucks took over a hour to get our food. Dont think Ill be back and neither will any one else in my party of 6.

This place is everything and more!! On Tuesdays they have Karaoke night! Well lets just put it like this, you have to come with your A game because everyone can sing, even the lady behind the bar..lol Now just feel comfortable to know that if you cant sing dont be ashamed to get on the stage and give it your all, they dont judge you there and they will still clap for you once you finish blowing their ears out..lol. All types of talents come through, up and coming artists at times. The staff are friendly and make sure that each consumer is having a good time! The food is flavorful and delicious so thats always an A+ in my book! As your local real estate agent I highly recommend Sandz as a place of great entertainment and Night Life!!

It was awful, the tacos shrimp. They split the shrimp down the middle. It was cold. I ordered Chardonnay they tried to give me something different. Overall it was a bad experience. Never ever again, also the waitress had attitude 😒

There too much confusion between employees, we asked for a table and none of the employes could give us a direct answer.Then one lady employee tried to sit us down at a table, then the customers next to the table told the employee its reserved for someone else. So they let local customers dictate who sits down.Then we ask another male employee for a table he never came back and responded to us. This is what happens when you try to support local businesses around the area. We will just go elsewhere instead.

The worst uber eats experience I have ever had... most of the order was missing! The salmon was to include veggies, plantains and a side and I was sent salmon... that’s it! I called the restaurant several times and no answer... I also reached out on uber eats with no response. Save yourself the disappointment if your starving.

This is a great jamaican spot that offers the public an opportunity to se current and past jamaican artistes and djs for free. The crowd is mature and the atmosphere is very nice. Its a great way to wind down for the day. They also offer great food.
