Ive been a loyal customer for 5 years! You will absolutely LOVE this place and your experience! They are a WOMENS ONLY spa, which means absolutely no boys! You finally have a place that you can fully relax and enjoy some quality pampering! The moment you walk in the door, you feel like you are coming home :) I even went on a 7 month deployment, and when I came back, these ladies remembered my name and exactly what I had been getting before. They are extremely CLEAN, HYGENIC, and will work with you to get you the end result you are looking for, within your budget!I have pretty much had every service they offer, and I have always been extremely pleased. Especially, with my sugaring (kind of like waxing, but way better for your skin and with all natural ingredients!) I have going to spas for 8 years now in many different countries, and this is BY FAR the best place ever! Now, I no longer grow hair in the places Ive been sugared!!!!I promise, you will really love being here. Its really a home away from home in an exotic environment!

This place is wonderful for manicures and pedicures! Took my sister, mother, and daughter who all loved it as well as I did! The owner did excellent with my young daughter and what she wanted. The atmosphere is beautiful and calming, the staff is good at what they do and very friendly! Definitely a place I will go over and over again.

This was one of the most amazing experiences Ive ever had! I did the reiki massage with Hana and Ive never felt more aligned than I do now. The atmosphere is amazing, all of the staff made me feel extremely comfortable. Hana made me feel so safe and relaxed. I honestly feel whole again. I definitely recommend and will be back here for other services, too! Such a wonderful environment, staff, and experience all around.

Great service! This was my first time getting a facial and I was very happy with the results. They told me what they were using and what the purpose was. I have very sensitive skin and the products they used didnt give me any bad reactions. They also gave advice on some of the problem areas of my skin. The staff were amazing people and definitely added to my experience. They made feel welcomed right from the start.

Best leg/foot massage Ive had with my pedicure. Very quiet place. Not bad, I was very relaxed. However, some soothing music would be nice to add to the atmosphere. Some might feel a little awkward with the silence. I hope to return . Thank you :)

This place is amazing! Hana is super sweet and funny and makes you feel wonderful! She is also an eyebrow whisperer. My brows are hard to work with, but she makes them look awesome! I was so relaxed I fell asleep while getting my lashes done. They really know what theyre doing here and make you feel beautiful and confident. Theres no place better!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

There are some positives about this place: the staff are nice and the ambiance is cool.However, we left feeling taken advantage of. We planned on doing 5 simple massages and 6 basic pedicures. We even called over the phone and paid more than half before the appointment.At the time of the appointment, the owner kept coming to my mom and asking if she could add x, y, and z because people wanted/needed it. She wasn’t up front about the added prices of these additional services.The worst part was that she said my sister (birthday girl) would receive a “special” treatment for her birthday. Typically, when you say that, you mean you’re going to treat them. Not charge $1,000+ more for services that “she really needs because her skin is terrible” (we were told something along those lines). The owner asked if it were okay to do extra things for the birthday girl (like a full hydro facial treatment, eyebrow and face threading, and a bunch of other random stuff) but we didn’t realize that each of these things would be charged for. And the way she asked the birthday girl wasn’t, “do you want this?” Or anything like that. She basically said that she needed it and asked if she could do it.The final bill was $2,000+. What was supposed to be 5 massages and 6 pedicures (~$800) turned into a house payment. We probably should’ve been more direct in declining the extra treatments but we felt so pressured into doing them (and my mom felt like she had to if the birthday girl wanted them) that the whole experience was pretty sad.The owner called me and tried to explain why I was wrong in being upset about the extra services that we felt pressured into, which just made it worse because I didn’t feel like she even listened to my concerns. Overall, I would say to be very careful what you agree to and only come if you have a pretty brave personality.

I found this spa when I first moved to Utah 6 years ago and haven’t gone anywhere else since then. I always leave feeling well taken care of and rejuvenated even if I’m just getting my brows done. They always go the extra mile. I don’t even need to look at my brows before leaving since I know Hana has done a perfect job. I’ve introduced all of my girlfriends to this spa and and once seeing what a beautifuljob they all do, this is the only place we ever go. They’re so welcoming and actually take the time to genuinely get to know you. They know skin unlike anybody else, too. I’ve learned so much since going here about simple yet effective skin care! I trust all of them 1000%. I’ve even told Hana I’m not sure what I’ll do when I leave Utah as I don’t trust anybody else at this point with my brows or a facial or to create the experience that they do at Dead Sea.

If youre thinking about going... DO IT! I was lucky enough to come across Dead Sea Spa and visit the same day. Ive been back religiously! Investing in yourself is so worth it, and I highly recommend doing it- I always leave feeling great! Everyone is very kind, friendly, and professional. Texting is super convenient, too! Lighting gives a soothing atmosphere and the walls/decor colors are gentle on the eyes, enhancing your relaxation experience.Having sensitive skin, sugaring is the way to go! I have experienced NO harsh perfumes or chemicals, allowing my sensitive skin to remain happy, and free from distress. My hair has grown back finer and fewer (yeah, seriously).

Dead Sea spa is the only place I’ll go to now in SLC. Calm atmosphere, great service and professional. The staff there are very friendly and work hard to make you feel comfortable. Hana is the absolute best at threading eyebrows and has been the only person to touch my eyebrows for years now. I leave there happy with the results every time. Definitely a place worth visiting. I dont have anything bad or good to say. Ill just share my experience. The salon is clean, with parking and I was greeted immediately. From what I remember, there are rooms with curtains not doors, so outside noise will be heard. I had henna, which was the most expensive henna Ive ever had. I asked about my options prior to starting but was never told the cost or design details. As she drew, she talked and kept me engaged. No complaints because the conversation was interesting. As a result, I have a long, not intricate henna drawing and because of its size, I was charged the highest price. There is a 20% service charge on ALL services. It called a tip but tips are voluntary, this is not. While my henna is drying another employee and I are talking. As we are talking, another employee gives the hand across the throat sign indicating for her to stop talking so I will leave. I saw this and got up to go. I just paid $90 plus tip for mediocre henna and I cant sit in the EMPTY salon while it dries? Has any service provider wanted you to leave an empty salon, hours before closing with expensive and incomplete services AND a mandatory 20% tip? They have long term customers but this is my experience and I would not return.Update: there is one thing I HATE its a liar. I was NOT told prices beforehand and I walked all the way to the back and saw rooms on both sides of the hall. The bathroom had a door. I sat in an open room where nails are done and the reflecology is in the hall leading to the rooms. Look at the photos they provided. This will confirm my statement.I could see who came and went in the salon. And tip was forced. She said my price plus 20%. When I pushed back it became 10%. You can see from other reviews there is a 20% tip. Telling people how much to tip is tacky. You simple ask of they want to add a tip to the bill. Sometimes an owners response is worse than the review. I did not give them a bad review i shared my experience, which is accurate, their response isnt.update again. The woman has sent me text messages about my review. I provided my number to make an appointment not to be harassed about my review. Ive never seen anything like this.

I absolutely LOVE this spa! Hana, Ertifa and Sarah are such amazing women and do such a great job with all of their services. I have been coming to this spa for 9 years and even after I moved an hour away, I still drive down to go here. They all make me feel so welcome, they are extremely caring and I really enjoy going here.My favorite is the sugar wax. Ertifa is so fast and so thorough! Love the results every time.Their pricing is great. I highly recommend!

I love this place! Ertifa is a miracle worker with sugaring! She is quick, a delight, and always maks me feel very comfortable. I am always very happy with my experience and results!Hana is continuously providing excellent communication and care. she always goes above and beyond to try to accommodate me and my hectic schedule. I had the most wonderful experience recently at the Dead Sea Skin care and Day Spa. A group of us were on a work trip and were treated to a Spa Day. We were pampered with a manicure, pedicure, facial and hot stone massage while we were visiting . Everyone was amazing at the spa and we enjoyed our day. My favorite was a marvelous treatment I received from Hana. It was eye opening and rejuvenating along with an incredible release of stress.Hana spoke the truth to me and I am forever grateful for my beautiful day at the spa. Thank you!!Susie

I don’t really know where to start cause I’ve never really taken the time to review a company. I have had a hard month to say the least and thought I would treat myself to a facial. I ended up getting a facial and a massage with hot stones upon recommendation. Sarah was the most kind, patient and gentle human. Not only were prices at the spa super reasonable, but Sarah knew just what I needed and was so supportive. Being treated with such care helped me to find value in my own self care. I now follow the recommended skin care routine and I really think it’s helping. Anyway, I love them, I am definitely going back, my skin is clearing up and I think my life is on the upswing.

Highly recommend the Brazilian sugaring service provided by Ertifa. I could tell right away she’s a master at her craft — quick, thorough, and confident. I’ve never been so satisfied with a sugaring and I’m so glad I discovered Dead Sea Spa.A 20% tip is added to your service as others mentioned. But this is clearly indicated at the register when you pay and I always tip for this service so I have no issue with it.

Wonderful spa and customer service. I left a message for a short notice package for 3 ladies. They responded immediately, got us booked, and were very helpful in deciding the package. The massage, sauna, and henna were relaxing, rejuvenating, and enlightening. Thank you! Will be going back.

I received a gift certificate from my partner for Mother’s Day. I haven’t been to a spa since pre-COVID, and I hadn’t ever been to The Dead Sea Spa before. I am sure glad that he helped introduce me! Hana really is an “eyebrow whisperer” and Sarah is so knowledgeable with skin care and amazing with facials and pedicures! I feel wonderful. Thank you!

I did not like this place at all, I had a facial for the first time ever, nothing was explained to me about anything she would tell me every once in awhile what she was putting on my face. I broke out in what looked like a rash to me so I sent pictures to them on Monday, they told me it was purging, I looked it up and yes purging does happen but it does not itch. My face and neck itch like crazy. I honestly think I had an allergic reaction to something they put on my face. I dont care if it is all natural products are not you can still be allergic to natural products. I also had a pedicure which by far was the worst one I have ever had. She asked if I wanted my nails trimmed while I was still in the facial room, I said yes but just a little, she cut them extremely short and they were not even at all. She then cut me when she was filing my nails. The nail polish she used was old so it kept lumping, I took it off as soon as I got home that night as it was not pretty, and my toes were burning from all the cuts. I will never ever come back to this place again and I wouldnt recommend it to any one.

This was a very unique and fun facial to invest in! If you are looking for a natural and culturally informed way to do skincare, then this is your place. Not much else except salt, mud and rose water is used on your face along with massage and lymphatic drainage techniques. Hana was extremely accommodating, explained every part of the facial in detail to me, and was very astute to asking what kind of experience I was looking for (ex. If I wanted to relax she would tell me everything in advance so that I could nap during). She was even sweet enough to share her insights about my face and text instructions to me.

When you walk in to The Dead Sea Spa, you literally enter into another world. Their atmosphere is so tranquil and their staff is incredibly helpful and professional. I have gotten facials, manicures, waxing, and threading done here and everyone does a tremendous job. Hana, the Reiki Master, does the best full body hot stone and Reiki healing. With just a half an hour, she did work that would be meant for two hours. I had years of trauma and new stresses that she helped heal. I was able to release a lot of emotions. Her technique is the best and her energy is extremely calming. You will leave feeling healed. The spa is incredibly clean as well so you can be rest assured you will have the best and most comfortable experience. I would recommend to anyone. ❤️❤️

Today was my birthday and my smart husband got me his 7 month pregnant wife a spa day. 10 am to 3pm I was pampered. Honestly every service was amazing. Hanna and Sarah did fantastic job at getting me very relaxed so much so I got a little nap in. First time ever spa experience and was definitely worth the time and money.

I have been going to Dead Sea Spa for years and have always had a wonderful time. I went the first time years ago because I had a groupon for a wax/sugar. I got the sugar treatment, which I prefer over wax anyway. I was immediately offered an incredible deal if I prepaid for 3 more sugar treatments. I bought it and was VERY happy with it and their service. I have gone back multiple times since then. Usually for a sugar treatment, but once for a wonderful pedicure. One time I had problems getting a hold of the spa to schedule an appointment and when I got a hold of them, it was the owner I spoke with, and she gave me her personal number in case I ran into that issue again. I now consider myself a loyal customer. I would recommend Dead Sea Skin Care & Day Spa to anyone!

I love this place! The staff is incredibly skilled, knowledgeable, & personable. The owner Hana greets me by name whenever she answers the phone when I call to book an appt. My wax specialist Ertiffa always does an excellent job and makes me feel at ease when I go. No wonder I have been going here for over 3 years! They have introduced me to Sugaring hair removal as well as threading for my eyebrows and lip something I had never tried before but now Ill never turn back! I look forward to getting pampered, feeling like a million bucks, and the warm reception I receive from the staff every 5 weeks I visit!

If I could give this place 10 stars I would. I just had a 60 min Hot Stone Massage with 30 min foot reflexology appt and I’m still in a wonderful relaxed daze. One of the best massages I’ve had in a very long time, might actually be the beat I’ve ever had. Definitely go here! They were so nice and professional and the service was outstanding. You will not regret. Prices for services are very reasonable for the treatment you will receive. Test yourself!

Took my partner here for her very first pedicure and requested extra massage services were purchased to really give her the full experience, I am happy that I chose this place to pop her pedicherry as they exceeded my expectations. My esthetician gave me a foot and calf massage that I can only compare to what it might feel to make out with Freddie Mercury on top of a diamond studded rainbow... Pretty fabulous. The manager was easy to schedule with and very understanding when I had to reschedule last-minute. While we were there, I really appreciated the cleanliness, culture and comfort that the space had and the staff made us feel very welcome instead of other places that you feel are just pushing you out the door. I believe they gave my partner a fantastic first experience and well certainly be back when we can afford to treat ourselves again.TL / DR : Would absolutely recommend, you get what you pay for and more.Thank you Dead Sea Spa!

All I can say is wow and I will be back! Inside you will find a relaxing atmosphere and services and spa technicians that exceed expectations. I received a spa package from a friend as a gift which including a wrap, 30 minutes in the sauna, full body scrub, full body massage, a facial, and a pedicure. The massage and pedicure were wonderful and relaxing. The best part of my experience was my facial. I work in healthcare so I wear a mask for 12+ hours a day, resulting in some stubborn maskne. I woke up this morning after my facial with my skin looking the best it has looked since the beginning of the pandemic. I can’t wait to come back and buy the products that were used for my facial. Thank you guys!

I got my eyebrows threaded and it was awesome! The staff was patient with me, as I had not done that before. It was a great experience. The overall feel of the store was so relaxing! You feel right at home when youre there. The staff is amazing! They treat you like one of their own. 10/10 would recommend this to anyone who asks! The service is phenomenal!

My wonderful husband sent me on a special day spa experience and here I am! Sara has been so great; she is very relatable and personable. The whole team made me feel welcome from the moment I walked in and anticipated my every need! I even got to try Turkish coffee and special Turkish baklava that was super delicious too. I had a phenominal 90-minute hot stone massage, body wrap, mud mask, & pedicure.

I’ve been getting bikini waxed by Hana for a while now and I have never been happier! She makes her own sugar wax which I love because I know she doesn’t use any harsh chemicals and it’s all natural. My hair follicles get finer and finer with each visit since the sugar rips from the root, and she makes sure to get every single hair out. Since I’ve been consistently going, I’m to the point where I wait about 2-3 months in between sessions (regular waiting times are between 4-6 weeks). I highly recommend this place for any and all of your waxing needs!

The best spa experience I have had in Utah. The staff here makes you feel at home from the moment you walk in the door. I always look forward to my biweekly visit. The prices are cheaper than I have found anywhere else for threading. I got my manicure and pedicure for my wedding day done here and I was extremely impressed. My wife wasn’t sure what to expect from the “Signature Queen Cleopatra” package along with a mummy wrap.I do feel like the advertisement for “full day” is a little of a stretch. She had never had a spa day before and now that she has a bench mark we will know what to expect.Staff was kind, helpful, and knowledgeable during my purchasing of the package and follow up with her afterwards.Really not sure if we will be back but thank you for the experience

Hana is amazing!! A few years ago, I had a severe reaction to an IUD birth control that left my skin scarred. Hana threaded my entire face and then gave me a facial and just after one visit, the scars are barely noticeable. I would highly recommend! She is very knowledgeable in all things skin and any recommendation from her, you will walk away knowing it was the best and most beneficial for whatever skin issue you have!!

Nice, quiet atmosphere. They really make sure you relax when you are getting your services done. I had the Genie facial, chin and eyebrow threading and LOVED it! I almost fell asleep during the facial because I was so relaxed. The owner is awesome and friendly and so is all the staff! 10/10 would recommend.

Sarah has been doing my Brazilian and pedicures for over a year. Not only does she do the best work, she has become a great friend and always has great beauty advice. The atmosphere is relaxing and the other staff our so nice and eager to help anyway the can! One of my favorite spas!

Dead Sea Spa is absolutely amazing!! The women there are so welcoming and they make your services an experience. They are well trained and very accommodating to your individual needs. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY ON FACIALS HERE!!! I would give it a 0 if I could. I had an awesome facial the first time I went and when I called to make an appointment with the same person I had the first time the manager told me she had someone better to work on me. She said if you dont like it dont pay her, unfortunately this new person barely did any extractions, I had let the manager know I wanted the facial specifically for extractions when I booked. She had also told me I would get a $40 deal(because she booked me with someone I was hesitant to work with) and they charged me $50 after I complained, this place is a Joke. The manager also told me that I only get 9 extraction s with a facial (I think I got 5, maybe) 😂😂😂 I said if I knew I needed to pay more for what I need I would have. Then she proceeded to tell me that I should of got the machine facial I got last time to get all of the extraction so that I dont get scars, I have got plenty of facials and they all had extractions as part of the facial. I would need to pay $100 for the machine facial if I wanted to get what comes with a normal facial with extractions. Seriously, learn from my bad experience and dont go there. If you want a relaxing facial you can get it there , dont go if you need a facial with extractions.

I love coming to this spa. Sarah does the best facials, hot stones, and pedicures for me. And Hana is extremely talented in her eyebrow threading. They always look perfect. I recommend coming here for anyone!

I love the Dead Sea Spa! It is a great place for a manicure or pedicure. The environment is calm and relaxing. All the esthetician’s are amazing and do a great job taking care of your skincare needs while making you feel comfortable, relaxed and well taken care of. I always leave feeling like a whole new women!!

Hana is a Brow Wizard. She threaded my whole face and followed it with an all natural Dead Sea hydrating facial. I was quite surprised by how effective the Dead Sea products are! The spa is in a busy strip mall, but don’t let that fool you. Inside you’ll find dark relaxing rooms with chandeliers and fashionable decor. Ill be back to try a pedicure as it looks relaxing and clean!

Fantastic place. All the ladies are extremely skilled. Ertifa does the best sugar waxing ever!!! Dont waste time anywhere else or using any other types of wax. She is quick, gets all the unwanted hair, is super, super nice and a happy person.Hana is a master at threading! Your entire face feels rejuvenated after the experience!

Ladies if you e ever considered doing a bikini or Brazilian, then you have to try Ertifah & her sugaring. Ive been going to her for years.It is much better than waxing, lasts just as long & not as painful & Ertifah is a pro at how fast she is!! Reasonably priced, beautiful spa & decorations & they offer many services like threading, pedicures, etc. And even bonus theyre next to crumble, so after you get done you can grab a cookie!!

Best spa experience Ive had. The ladies here made me feel right at home. It was my first time doing a whole facial threading and she had such a light hand and used natural products to sooth my skin. Pedicures are also so relaxing! Will keep coming back here.

I have been coming to the spa for the past 7 years now. Great service, and staff are very friendly and professional. The services that I have had there and I truly recommend are: threaded eyebrows, Brazilian waxing, henna designs, mani and pedicure, hot stones massage, and facial. I love the place for its middle eastern decoration, energy, and great services.

Wow…. The ladies at this place scammed me. I was in need of some skincare and thought I would pop in here to see what options they had. When I got in they showed me the products they would recommend. I didn’t think twice about the pricing that they quoted me because it didn’t even cross my mind that these seemingly kind ladies would try and do this to me. When I got home and was looking further into the product, I realized that they charged me double to triple the actual prices of these products. They charged me over $60 for one of the products that is only $20 if you buy from the product line website or from Amazon. They super overcharged me for all three of the full size products that I purchased. I also checked their website to see what the pricing is for these products and they still charged me significantly more than what was on their own site! I was in a hurry and in desperate need of some skincare and they saw an opportunity and took advantage of me. There was three women there and they all went along with it. I’ve never had this happen to me before and am going to figure out how I can report them because this just isn’t right. You cannot trust these people. Please do not go there.

Read the sign men, this place is for Spa for Women only! Ive been coming here for more than 9 years getting my nails done, facials, chemical peels & my full face threaded. I love these ladies here, I would totally recommend you to come here. Dont believe the fake crazy reviews, it makes me upset how incorrect stuff are being posted daily. I just came out of getting my full face threaded & Hanna done an awesome kicka#% job! 👍🏽my daughter comes here to get her eyebrows done, too. Dont hesitate to pay these ladies a visit ..ladies! I have had many facials and this place was the best!!! These ladies really know about skin. They are all college graduated and know their stuff. During my facial the ladies were worked really hard on keeping the process tranquil and peaceful. Hanna even turned the business phone to vibrate so it wouldnt be disturbing. I would highly recommend their services!!

This is my favorite Spa in Salt Lake. Hana and Sarah remember me and treat me like family. This is the only place I have been to where my feet are left smooth after a pedicure. I am a nurse and during this time I was very impressed with their precautions and the way they allowed me to forget about COVID for a few hours. To me, that is priceless.

Worst place ever !!!! My pregnant daughter booked this experience(nightmare) for we four of us before her baby shower later that day. My daughter put down a deposit for 4 pedicurists and upon arrival found there were only two. The one gal working on my feet was extremely rude. My feet were fermenting as she worked on my older daughters feet.The so called Spa treatment was a joke. Nails were not cut like asked and now two weeks later I have to have them re done. The massage is suppose to make your legs and feet feel like they are on air. NOT SO MUCH !! One daughter her nails were smudging after we left the salon as they do not put your feet under lights, and we were told that was only for acrylic nails. My pregnant daughters nail polish was coming off the next day. The owner offered us Turkish coffee which we accepted, and she proceeded to read two of my daughters cups. My older daughter it was insinuated that she was going to have an affair with someone close to her that has been admiring her from afar, my pregnant daughters cup said she has an evil serpent in her life and she needs to cut it off at the head. Who the heck tells things like this esp. to a newlywed and a pregnant woman. I have never in my life had such a horrible experience, I think I will stay with the Asian salons that truly know how to treat their customers and provide an exhilarating spa experience.

So I never write reviews, but I feel I need to let people know what they are in for. The pedicure I scheduled with my friend was nice, but nothing special to make it $10 more than my usual place. ($35) Thats the only reason it gets two stars instead of one. My friend decided to get henna. The lady who does henna seems to be the manager. She was very off-putting and unprofessional. She went on a rant for a good twenty minutes. Every-time she started talking she stopped the henna. So it took a long time. She then started to give spiritual/life advice and incorporated that into her designs. I said no twice to getting henna after watching my friends experience but she insisted she would like to do it for me. So I gave in. She started the spiritual psycho analyzation on me, asking me probing personal questions and giving unsolicited life advice. She claimed that I married my husband because it was a good deal and not because I loved him. It was overly intimate and bizarre. For someone who was apparently reading my aura/energy she was not able to pick up on how uncomfortable she was making me. I wish Id been able to vocalize how I felt at the time. Perhaps if Id gone in expecting a spiritual guru I might have been able to be prepared for it. If you are into that kind of thing, that you can give this place a shot.

I highly recommend this spa! I took my tween daughter in to help with some skin issues. They were great in teaching her how to care for her face and dealing with the blackheads she already had. They were courteous, friendly, and the results were fantastic. I have also had facials there and have always had a great experience.

The spa is not worth the money, there is a forced 20pecent gratuity for all services for individuals not only groups, this is not listed on the website. Paid 525.00 for Nefertiti service and basic Pedi/Mani without any leg or arm massage. Kept breaking contact during the massage, very startling, and rubbing blood to the end of extremities instead of toward the heart. The staff are nice but services very lacking for the price.

I was so stressed from an exhausting week, I went in for a massage, facial and pedicure! Oh my god I was so happy I went! Amazing massage my sciatic nerve was killing me before, after the massage I was able to stand on my leg again! From the stress my face broken out, so the aesthetician advised me to do I micro dermabrasion and it was amazing with a facial that’s she did! Honestly it was a great experience recommend this place!

I absolutely love this place! This isnt about getting in fast to have a pedicure, its more about the experience. And what a beautiful experience it is. I certainly enjoyed every moment that I was here. This is my new favorite place and Ill certainly go back. I wouldnt hesitate recommending this amazing spa!

Seriously, best spa in SLC. I called around 15 different businesses in town and this was the only one that, I can honestly say, went above and beyond. I have had bad waxing experiences in the past, and they were the only spa in town that offered the natural option (sugar wax), and I can happily say that it is far superior to the usual american wax. It was much less painful and I had 0 recovery time. My skin was so happy immediately and for all the days to follow the procedure. I even came in for advice after I had experimented recreating the experience at home. The ladies in the spa are funny, caring, and incredibly genuine. I wouldnt go anywhere else, and I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone who is skeptical or wary about spa treatments or waxing. They really know their stuff here, and dont cheat you.

Ive been going to this place for 5 years now and they consistently improve with each return trip. It can be hard to find someone you trust waxing your private parts and Ertifa always makes me feel comfortable, has me in and out in 15 minutes max. Shes like the aunt you tell all your secrets to and trusts with your most embarrassing questions.

The service was fine, but the owner is a NIGHTMARE. Both times I went, she was on the phone or in the front of the shop yelling (yes, actually yelling) at customers who had problems with their Groupons.It made me nervous so the second time I went in I specifically asked BEFORE ANY SERVICES WERE GIVEN, if everything was squared away with my Groupon. They said no problem. After my pedicure was basically finished, the owner comes sweeping in telling me Id have to pay full price because of a non-existent issue. It was so awkward. I will never be back.I would never go there again with or without a Groupon because the owner makes it an extremely uncomfortable atmosphere.

I’ve been a regular customer there for almost 5 years now. All I can say is: natural sugar wax! Try it for your bikini and you’ll never do it with the synthetic wax (everywhere else) again.I’ve been waxing my body since I was 16 so I’ve had many estheticians. Ertifa is the only one who does sugar waxing (aka “sugaring” or “oriental wax”) at the salon (and apparently in SLC since I just looked and no one else is offering sugar wax for Brazilian). She is a master esthetician. This technique is unique and very difficult to master. It is a Middle Eastern traditional method for hair removal. Contrary to other wax, it is in and of itself super hygienic. No double dipping issue since there is no dipping. The wax naturally contains vinegar and lemon which keep everything sanitized. Additionally Ertifa makes her own wax and keeps it in individual containers so that no contamination can occur (contrary to other big wax batch). Before I discovered sugar wax, I was going to regular salon (for about 10 years). I’ve always had lots of red spots and zits after waxing. Some even burned me with the hot wax. I had my skin peeling, skin irritation and infection. This simply can’t happen with sugar wax because it’s at body temperature and contains absolutely no chemicals (it’s sugar+ water+lemon+vinegar = boil it to make a caramel). Ertifa warms the wax in her hands before applying it on skin and that’s it! Even though I’ve been waxing for years and years, my skin is super sensitive and only Ertifa has been able to improve my skin health while being waxed. (Bonus: when you get sugar wax it’s as if you receive a gentle sugar scrub, it exfoliates).Now about the salon. I’m an LGBTQIA advocate. I know what’s discrimination. The spa is women only because the women working there are Muslim and do not wear the hijab while working. However if a man comes in unexpectedly, the women working there will have to cover their head immediately. That’s not discrimination for the men. Just a women choice. At most a problem of sign outside the door with a nice and courteous message that could say “Dear men, for religious consideration regarding women working here without their headscarf, we ask you kindly to not come inside. We are sorry for any inconvenience. The Dead Sea spa.” Make it a nice panel out the door and on the website and done!About the “look” of the salon. Yes, the decor is not all design and trendy. It doesn’t fit my taste. But it’s not my home. It’s their home place, their women spa. The owner is free to make it look the way she wants, with all the cultural artifacts she wishes. This is not IKEA. No one is asking you to buy the furniture. I go there for my body, to get wax and massage and pedicure. I receive an amazing service with one of the kindest woman I have ever met (Ertifa). That’s it.To finish, some reviews critic the cleanliness of this place. Well, I think it’s ironic because they don’t know what they expose themselves to with other salons and the infections they can get with synthetic wax. This place is clean. Cluttered but clean. Always has clean towels, clean bathroom, clean floors. Yes it’s not all white and fancy but it’s not a hospital or a hotel, you’re not sleeping there. It’s clean.

My experience getting a pedicure at Dead Sea Spa could best be summed up with unprofessional and subpar service. When we first arrived, we could immediately feel the tension in the air between the manager and staff (and throughout the experience). When getting a pedicure, my friend spoke up informing the nail artist that what she was doing hurt. Her response wasnt I apologize; rather, it was I have no idea why this is hurting you, as if it was my friends fault. The pedicure itself was subpar. Also, while we were there, a transgender woman (formerly man) walked in, and there was a lot of confusion on what they should do (it being a women only spa). Im a huge transgender advocate, and I get how this could be a confusing situation at an all womens spa with Muslim women working there (who arent allowed to touch other men), but how it was discussed secretively in front of clients felt unprofessional and unkind. A direct, kind conversation explaining the religious implications associated would have gone a long way for the transgender guest. Also, a sign on the door stating it is a womens only spa would also go a long way for people not realizing the rule (like me). I do believe people can improve...so give this place a chance...but i also think leaving honest feedback will help people realize where they need to improve things.

I absolutely love this spa and the ladies working there. I have been for multiple services (Massage, Reiki, Microneedling, sugaring and eyebrows) I have never once been disappointed and have since sent in 5 friends. The energy is wonderful and I always leave feeling my absolute best. Thank you!

Firstly, I rarely write reviews and when I do its positive. Only once before did I write a negative review on a business but I felt it was my obligation to prevent others from falling prey to their scam. Others reviews on businesses have certainly helped me make wise decisions on purchases. This being said I am writing a review here because I was treated so crudely and felt the spa to be so unsightly & disheveled that I was stunned. It is decorated strangely & clumsily & when I went to the bathroom I was immediately appalled by its slovenly appearance. Its so rare that a business or a person can catch me so completely off guard but this place and the owner did. Her behavior was deplorable! It was all because I bought a Groupon but didnt tell her when I made the appt. (FYI: I bought the Groupon after I booked the appt. when I stumbled upon it.) She bit my head off. It was for a Brazilion wax which I ended up deciding NOT to do. Groupon gave me a refund and I went to Salon NV and saw Tina. Now this place is the real deal... hygienic & well-kept. Tina is awesome & I happily paid her full price. Being new to UT Im grateful I have found my person for this service at least so far. (If I could give 0 stars for Dead Sea spa I would)View Less

Youd think for such a trashy place that the services would be at least average priced. Also be careful, the owner is a scam artist. Whenever an opportunity presents itself, you will get fees added on to your service. Sketchy, slimy place that runs through employees as well. No one ever seems to be trained or know what they are doing. Have heard the owner be degrading to customers and employees. Uncomfortable experience. However, the owner, and owner only is good at threading eyebrows for a very very overpriced, uncomfortable experience.

I had a Living social deal that I purchased for a Deluxe Pedicure and a Shelac manicure. The Voucher cost me $35.00. Great deal and I was really excited. When I arrived I asked if I could get Shelac on my toes as well and they said no problem. 3 hours later, I was ready to leave and they told me that I owed an extra $35.00 because I upgraded to shelac on my toes. In general, my service was ok. A little slow but friendly. My nails look ok. not fantastic, but fine. I am very irritated that they DOUBLED my cost without informing me before.

I went to get a pedicure and it was the worst pedicure Ive ever had, unfortunately! The people there were nice at least! The nail polish came off after 4 days! Basically they just put your feet in water and painted your nails! There was no cleaning of the nails or anything like that! Extremely disappointed!

Hot stone and deep tissue massage. Hana provided my treatment and was very professional and knowledgeable. The massage was incredibly relieving as I have a lot of stress and tension. Wonderful experience.

I will never ever try to go here again! My mother, my sister, and I got Groupons for mothers day to get Pedicures together before a big summer trip in June. When I called the Spa I was told that we could not go together, and all use Groupons. Groupon has fine print and rules listed, and this was NOT on the list of rules. When I mentioned this to the employee she said Well we have to do it this way because Groupon is not good business IF IT ISNT GOOD BUSINESS WHY ARE YOU POSTING GROUPONS?! I was extremely upset by this, but there was nothing I could do to convince them to honor the Groupons. Luckily Groupon was able to refund my money. I will be taking my business to another spa.

Got the Groupon gift for facial. I called and someone rude answered. The moment she heard that I have Groupon (which is not free at all as you mat know) she hangs up and to this day mt phone number is blocked when I call their salon. They never called back although I left messages and Groupon declined to give me a credit for this or return the money. I couldnt believe that this business advertises on Groupon then denies you the service. I will report them to BBB definitelly.
