Elements Massage

This spa steals your time for the therapist to go on a bathroom break. Their 60 minute massage includes you changing clothes and the therapist going to the bathroom. It’s actually only 50 minutes.It’s false advertising.I’ve worked at other spas that cost the same or less, but treat the therapists better and don’t cheat your time.Therapists bullied other therapists here while I was here. The owners care more about profit than their employees. They were shady people.

They were so thorough and made sure we had a great experience. They had great communication and the two massage therapists we had Jeff and Kit were very well trained. We would definitely go back to this specific location!

Michelle is hands down the therapists at the this location. She is very passionate about her clients and definitely goes way and beyond to really get in those areas that other therapists avoid. I’ve been a member for over 2 years and really impressed how professional everyone has been at this location. Keep up the great work! Can’t wait for my next session 🙌🏽

This was both mine and my partners first time getting a massage, and the experience was PHENEMONAL! Brooke checked us in and she was so attentive and welcoming, she set the perfect tone for our experience. Kit and Jamie were our massage therapists and they were both amazing! They both created a very relaxing and safe atmosphere and were very responsive to our needs.

Jeff was the one ! Th Best therapist massage ever had.He has his own unique style to make you feel comfortable and feel so fresh after the massage .

I was put in an unimaginably awkward, unprofessional, and unsafe position this week by massage therapist, Ja-Mei (I believe this is correct spelling) at Cottonwood Heights. I arrived for my scheduled 2 hour, deep tissue, full body massage and instead was manipulated by her to sit through 40+ minutes of her preaching to me as I sit in the dark room just waiting for her to leave so I could undress and begin my massage. She used the word God a lot and said I had demons living in my body. I told her those were trigger words and please don’t use them with me and that I was uncomfortable with this conversation as a whole because I have trauma from spiritual leaders harming me. In response to this she insisted that the reason I had come to her was divine, through God, and that she was here to teach me the truth of God, the difference between heaven and hell, and to remove all my demons and plant a new spiritual tree in my spine.Once she finally did begin my massage (just over one hour remaining) she said, “well it feels like you got a Spiritual massage, now let’s do the physical one”. She continued the entire way through preaching to me, directly disrespecting the boundary I had set, and saying over and over, “get out of her you demons! You don’t belong here anymore!”. The “physical massage” consisted of light rubbing to my neck and lower back and resembled in no way deep tissue or full body as I had requested in advance.Throughout our 2 hours together she mentioned several times my spiritual condition may require treatment outside of Elements Massage and as I was leaving she told me she included her personal website in the therapists notes card she gave me.I left utterly dissatisfied, re-traumatized, and extremely confused. I even felt obligated to tip her $66 because I was so manipulated and confused as I left.I have to assume she is doing this to more than just one client. I have to assume she is doing this in secret and that hopefully once the company becomes aware, actions will be taken to stop this from happening again.Thanks for reading. I really hope this prevents anyone else from getting info such a vulnerable situation, especially if you have past trauma like I do.

Elements massage has a particular advantage over other massage businesses. Yes, they have a very talented staff and reasonable pricing. What sets them further apart is their front desk. There’s simply not another facility in Salt Lake with people who are as understanding and efficient about getting clients what they want, the way they want, with zero hassle and genuine friendliness. Along with accommodating plans, they are the best.

Couples massage. We both loved our experience. Deep tissue, as expected, was a bit painful but SO nice afterward.

I scheduled an appointment and met my masseuse (I think her name was Alexa) she came out and didnt introduce herself. Directed me to the room. And said, well why are you here, it was an odd way to greet someone I thought. She said, well lets start you on your back. So I laid on my back, when she came in she told me to turn over 🤪. It took her another 3 or 4 minutes to start the massage bc she had to rearrange all my blankets.During the session she didnt ask me any questions, like hows the pressure? There were times I was wondering what she was doing and had to give direction. She used a hot wash cloth, that felt nice, until it got cold. But when the cloth was applied she didnt massage me, odd again.After it was done, when I came out of the room she gave me a card with other peoples names on it and told me to reschedule with some else. She didnt ask how I was feeling and she didnt offer me any water.When I set the appointment I asked for someone that had experience and understood technique. This masseuse told me she didnt have the same experience of those she recommended to me. I explained the situation to the receptionist at the desk. I wasnt compd and was asked to leave gratuity.Im not sure Ill book here again

The most comfortable and thorough massage I have received in several years! A clean and well managed studio with fantastic staff and massage therapists! Super easy access from I-215 and ample parking!

I had a kinked neck and Zara was able to identify some knots and begin to work them out. She and the whole staff were very kind, helpful and professional. Zara even recommended some stretches i could do at home to further help my neck. I had a very good experience and will definitely return. Thank you!

I just had a wonderful massage from Rashel. She tailored the massage to address my needs. I appreciated her skill level and communication style. First time getting a massage. Felt comfortable and relaxed by Laura. She has the ability to adjust her pressure up or down. Left there feeling great!

I was able to find a therapist to help me with a massage.Office was easy to find. I was greated when staff was ready.Filled out paper work and meet therapists right away.Lance was polite and friendly.He worked on me with a full body massage.When I paid at office they over charged me but gave me credit when I found the error. I found the error. Make sure and get a receipt.I made 2 more appointments for next week.Best thing was they took the Spa Finder gift card at this location. Sandy and South Jordan do not accept the gift cards. Beware.....

I am very pleased with Elements Massage in Cottonwood Heights. They have a clean, quiet, respectful space that makes getting a massage there very pleasurable. Lindsey gave a very thorough massage that I enjoyed very much!

Elements Massage has been a very decent company to work with. I did have some set backs however, they were always willing to strive and make things right. My all time favorite therapist was here but then ended up moving to another state. At first I was frustrated, but I was lucky enough to have a pre-paid that I still needed to use and gave them another shot. I had a massage with Dea that was phenomenal. Another of the very best Therapists that I have ever had. She was extremely responsive and had a high quality to her touch! Nice Work

I got a job as an associate attorney at a law firm around four years ago. A few months in, I realized how stressed and exhausted I was on a regular basis. I decided to do something to help myself relax more. I got a membership after my first massage and I have been coming here monthly, and occasionally twice a month, ever since. Unfortunately, the best massage therapist, Parker, moved out of state. I’m going to keep trying, at least for a while, to see if they have someone else who is a good fit.

Megan changed my life. She is amazing. I went to her when I was pregnant with baby number 2 and she made me feel so relaxed and calm. My favorite thing: having my feet wrapped in warm towels! Ive continued to go to her even after the birth for mama care, and she is still amazing. Additionally, the front office staff at Elements are so friendly and professional. I really enjoy the entire Elements Massage experience. Highly recommend.

I have been both an employee and client of this establishment. This Location has some of the most welcoming and professional therapist that I have met. The WMA at the front desk always greet me with a smile and treat me like family. Definitely would recommend here for your massage needs. Request Jayk Speth as your therapist.

Elements seems to work with very professional and skilled therapists. I never need to worry about being assigned to a less-than-amazing person. I have been impressed with every massage I have had there. Brian was the most recent therapist I worked with, and he was very talented. He did the deep work I requested, and was skilled at finding the tension and getting rid of it. He was also good at draping, which helped me to always feel comfortable and safe.

I loved my massage here! My neck and shoulder had been in pain for several weeks by the time I got there and my massage therapist, Bryan, was great about working that area out! He did an excellent job! My husband got a massage from Patrick at the same time who he said did a great job as well! Elements had a great, soothing atmosphere, which I love when going for a massage. It was a little more expensive than Ive paid in the past, so Id probably try to find somewhere a little cheaper next time, but if the quality isnt as good, Ill be heading back to Elements.

Wonderful experience! The office staff was friendly and professional and the facility was spotless. I went in for a 60 minute massage to relive back pain caused by muscle knots and Carley worked wonders on me. I walked out of there feeling 10x better then before. I had the best experience at Elements Massage in Cottonwood Heights! I was greeted and immediately felt welcome when I entered the facility. I was offered an infused cucumber water, which is exactly what I needed before the most amazing, relaxing massage I have ever had. Really. Parker was outstanding as my masseuse. Ive been going to the Cottonwood Heights location for a few years now. Everyone is very kind and respectful and the therapists that worked with me have all been great! They all give suggestions on how to feel better along with stretches and movements to aid in recovery. Everyone Ive dealt with genuinely cares about the folks that come in for work!

Ash was amazing!! She definitely worked out a lot of kinks in my back and gave me helpful tips to assist in prevention and maintenance in my problem areas. I tend to get migraines a lot, and my 90 minute session definitely helped reduce them!

Canceled last minute my session, with very little notice. Could not accommodate me on the same day, or make up for my time.

Jocelyn is the sweetest girl and did a phenomenal job! She regularly checked in with me about comfort and pressure, plus went the extra mile to teach me about specific abdominal muscles that are contributing to my back pain and suggested stretches. 10/10 would recommend and will definitely be back!

I’m a little hesitant to share this—because I want her to stay my little secret 😜 But holy smokes! Zarra is freaking phenomenal! Her style is JUST what I need, she works out knots in a slow manner so I actually feel relief after. Additionally, she clearly explains after care and stretches to do so that the relief can last longer and how to prevent other injuries/soreness. I feel such relief, rejuvenation and relaxed after visiting her!

My wife and I have been going to Elements Massage for a year now for therapeutic needs. Great front desk and great therapists. They listen to your needs and do their best every time. One of the key reasons Ive recovered from a severe back injury. Im a repeat satisfied customer and highly recommend!

Massage therapists here are wonderful. However, I learned today that after cancelling my membership they attempted to keep billing me. My debit card was reissued (bank finally went to the chip card), so they declined...no big deal right??? After all, I cancelled the membership. WRONG!! The owner decided that he/she has would take the funds (ultimately one Massage) on my account towards the massages they shouldn’t have been billing for and close my account, with no communication about this action.How did I learn this happened?? I decided to use my last massage appointment before I moved and after a great session I was asked for $$$ (over and above the tip I was leaving). Then the ladies there had to explain what happened. Wow...such an amazing way to treat a customer that was with you for two years or so. Elements should be extremely ashamed of this process. Recommendation...check out Hand and Stone. They have locations all over the country and would never be so shady.

Hands down the best massage Ive ever had! I immediately had to sign up for a membership and will be seeing Sydney on a regular basis. Very professional and clean studio, which is relaxing from the second you walk in the door. From scheduling an appointment to payment, you can feel that Elements #1 priority is customer service. Just writing this review, Im already getting excited about my next massage!

My husband and I got a one hour couples massage. It was very relaxing, refreshing and calming. The music and environment was perfect. We requested a full body deep tissue massage. I recently got a 55 minute massage at Elements Massage in Cottonwood Heights. I had a great experience. I left feeling relaxed and refreshed from my massage. The massage therapist listened carefully to what I wanted and made sure that I was comfortable throughout my massage. The masseuse was very attentive and was careful to not to massage my lower back overly hard. I really appreciated this since I had a really sore lower back before going for my massage. Ive had massages at other places (not Elements) where the masseuse has not been nearly as attentive or effective. Overall the staff was very professional and nice to interact with. I also really liked that Elements offers a discounted rate for first time customers ($49 for 55 minutes). Overall I was really happy with my experience. I will definitely be a repeat customer.

My masseuse was great! I had really big knots in my shoulders and he worked on them. The atmosphere of the room was lovely and I found it very relaxing. The greeter was friendly and the waiting room had a nice aura and was tidy. I liked after the massage that he gave me tips to help with my tight knots and then recommended when I should come back. I will for sure be back to see Matthew very soon.

Leslie put way too much oil in my hair. Yikes! Leslie smells really bad. Perhaps she should watch her diet a day or two and shower before she works so closely with people. When she does the foot massage part she should not scratch feet with her fingernails. Ick!

From the moment I walk in the door, I am greeted by name and the check-in process is quick and simple. After a minute or two the therapist is coming to get you and you are off to begin your massage.The massage therapists at the Cottonwood Heights are great. I have my favorites, but you can set an appointment with any of them and be in good hands. Some are deep tissue specialists and others are cupping experts, but all of them are amazing. They offer CBD oils massages and hot stone massages as well.My most recent session with Nancy was so relaxing. Close to the end of my time she applied some acupuncture techniques that really made me feel as if an extra hour had been added. Very relaxing.I would recommend getting the Wellness membership. At $69 dollars for a monthly massage, that rolls over if not used that month, is a great bargain. Some months I am able to get in for a massage and some months I am not. Thats the great part of the membership though, you can build them up over a couple months and then use them for 90 minute or even 2 hour massages.All in all, you will have an amazing experience with Elements Massage. Remember to book in advance, as their sessions fill up fast. Enjoy

Jessica was absolutely amazing! She listened to me when I was explaining what I wanted. During the massage she was professional in making sure the pressure was OK and actually listening to what my body really needed. She was very kind. I would drive the 30 minutes again just to see her!

Receptionists are always super friendly, professional and helpful. The space is really nice. Every masseuse I’ve tried is very knowledgeable on anatomy and overall fantastic! Best thing I’ve done is signed up at Elements Massage for regular massage!

Me and my husband had a couple massage and it was amazing! Really wish we got the 90 minutes instead of just the hour. I don’t remember who had my husband, but I had Jessica and she was great! She was perfect to what I wanted and really got so much of my knots and back pain I had been having the last few weeks. I know my husband also got a lot of back pain relieved. Highly recommend!!!

Ive been getting professional massages for years, and this was one of the best Ive ever had! Brenda knew what she was doing, listened to my body, and gave exactly what I needed. I was also amazed how quiet the facility was as well. Ill definitely be back!

I found Elements because they were close to my work. I work at a desk all day and my lower back can kill me sometimes. I saw Matt for my massage and it was probably the best massage I’ve ever had. I go back just for him. The only downside is the how pushy the front desk is at selling memberships. No matter how many times I tell them I’m not interested, they always seem to keep me 20 minutes after my appointment has ended trying to convince me how I should get the membership. I wish there was a back door I could sneak out to avoid them. However, the massages are worth it.

I had the best massage with Ashlyn. She really listened to my focus areas and made sure to give me a full run down after the massage letting me know where I need to stretch more. Service was amazing - the front desk was super attentive! The studio itself is super clean and relaxing!!

I had a lovely session at Elements this past weekend. Its everything you want in a massage -- clean, professional staff/policies, comfortable (adjustable) lighting and music, and therapists who find out what you want before and during so they can give you exactly what you need. They have a promotional offer right now for first time clients... soo worth it. I was in a pretty good mood after my massage, I think my therapist snuck in some energy work on me or something. Woke up on a Sunday not being able to move my neck and in horrible pain. They were able to get me in right away... I was a bit nervous about getting someone last minute and if they were going to be good... to my surprise I got Jen who probably gave me the best massage i have ever gotten. I left almost back to 100 percent after just a 1 hour massage! The two respectionist were so nice and welcoming too!

Every massage therapist Ive had (and Ive now had at least three and my wide has had a handful as well) as met or exceeded expectations. Its very clean, comfortable, professional, and luxurious. My wife has a membership here and I go one a month or so. From the vegetable / fruit infused water when you walk in to the water bottle at the end, everything is fantastic. The therapists also each specialize in different things, so remember this when making an appointment - ask for what kind of massage youre looking for and they will book you with an appropriate therapist which will surely make your experience better!

I did the prenatal massage. It was relaxing, but I went in because my lower back hurt. I would have liked a massage that actually helped, but they were very delicate with my back to the point that it didnt really feel like a massage. It was a relaxing experience. So I would only reccomend going when pregnant if you are wanting to mostly be relaxed.

It was clean, nice office staff and they didnt harass you to join their program which was nice (Massage Envy is TERRIBLE for that reason); but the massage itself was mediocre at best. My therapist was Amanda (I think thats what her name was) and although she was very nice, her massage wasnt good.

I am so happy that I decided to join Elements Massage monthly program. It has forced me to take care of myself with a much needed massage nearly every month and my Massage Therapist, Nichelle is beyond amazing. It is hard to fit Me time in my schedule but I encourage those out there fighting that same battle... DO it because you deserve it! Its affordable and you will never know the benefits unless you try. Terrific service and experience from the moment you walk through the door! Elements does a great job keeping a calm, welcoming environment. Addicted after my first visit so I had to sign up for a membership. Staff is knowledgeable in several types of massages.

Very inviting and welcoming. The one at the front desk was very friendly, offered me lemon water and showed me the studio. Mur did an amazing job! Her Cranial Sacral work is amazing. It is hard to find someone that truly knows how to do this work and understands what is needed.

They tried to force me to book a longer session in order to be with a specfic therapist. Horrible business practice. You shouldnt bully your customers into booking what they do not want. Ive been in this industry for 16 years and have never seen such poor front desk customer service or lack of friendliness. Stay away from this franchise location! How can a business refuse to let their customers use an hour membership that they pay for unless they spend extra to extend their session?!*update; week later still recieved text reminders for appointments which should had been canceled when I canceled my membership. Also recieved a voicemail saying they dont have documentation of the cancellation (which I filled out when I canceled).The owner was thoughtful and did call and leave a voicemail regarding the experience; too bad the employees are losing clients for them

Rachel provided the massage and she was absolutely fantastic. She listened to where my “problem” areas were and didn’t waste time working on areas outside of the requirement.

Seriously this is such a good experience. Youre in good hands (pun intended) with any one of the therapists here. I get a monthly massage so I feel better and thats what I feel their specialty is. I wish they had a location up North. Cant wait for my next appointment

Fantastic! The location is cozy and well decorated, the receptionist in the front was kind and helpful. The massage itself was awesome, I saw Brenda and she was great. I actually signed up for the monthly service at the end.

I have only received one massage here, and I will never be back. It all started when I scheduled my appointment- I requested a female employee as I am just more comfortable with a female than a male massaging me. When I arrived at the spa, I was escorted to a room and told Patrick will be in to see me. I spoke with the woman at the front desk and said that I am not comfortable with a male- she told me that it was too late to cancel and no females were available. Patrick came into the room and introduced himself and left the room so I could change. I am not exaggerating, literally 15 seconds later he walks back into the room without knocking. I was completely naked just standing there. He stood there while I jumped under the sheets as fast as I could. To say the least the rest of the experience was very awkward and I was very uncomfortable.

I love the easy online scheduling. I like that they offer a monthly membership and that I can pause the membership for up to 3 months, that is very convenient and helps me budget. I recommend 90 min sessions; 60 is simply not enough. And I absolutely love my massage therapist Ashlyn, she is amazing!!They are a bit pricey, especially when you add in a tip. They charge like $10 for aromatherapy add-ons, where at a lot of places they just DO aromatherapy as part of the massage. ...But they have heated tables, which is the best.Honestly I started the membership to see if it would help my back and shoulder pain, although a once-a-month thing isnt as effective as lifestyle changes (i.e. stretching every day), and I kind of intended to stop after the first few months. But it has been so nice to have these relaxing sessions set up, and I have been amazed at how skilled Ashlyn is, so I keep going!I do pause the membership every once and a while, though, to save some money.

This place is wonderful. I have had many massages in many years, but the therapist I got for my appointment was superb. She was not chatty, she was focused, she gave me additional information how to improve the pain in my arm, and her touch was magic.

I received a massage as a gift for Christmas. I saved it until a particularly stressful week and Im glad I did. The environment was peaceful and very clean and the staff was helpful and really friendly. I got a 90 minute Himalayan salt massage with Jessica and it was perfect. She listened to all of my preferences and gave me tips afterwards to keep my problem areas stretched & loose. I would go back here,100%.

My husband and kids booked a massage for me as a Mothers Day gift. It was wonderful from start to finish. My MT was Ashlyn, and she was amazing. I told her I had a baby one month ago, and she knew right away which areas needed the most attention. I swear, Ashlyn has magic hands! She really knows what she is doing. After the massage, she talked to me about where she felt the most tension in my body and even showed me stretches I can do to help those areas. I would definitely recommend Elements to anyone.

My edits are based on some other really important things that need to be discussed about customer service.After my massage with Pat, I was so thrilled I agreed to signup for the monthly club. I had used a groupon but the girl at the front desk marked my groupon used AND charged me for the full cost of the massage AND signed me up for the monthly service and took the first payment AND I got charged for the first month a couple of days later! It took almost three weeks to get that sorted out.Just an hour after my massage I broke out in a horrible rash. I called the location and they insisted that I was having a detox. My doctor insisted it was a contact rash. This rash was all over my body wherever I got massaged. I asked them to get sheets with hypoallergenic detergent and to use coconut oil the next time I came in, and I knew they didnt. And then I had a rash again. Both times the rash lasted for 5 weeks. They have insisted it is a detox. Because they know better than a doctor?My massage with Pat was probably the best massage Ive ever received. Pat is very attentive and thoughtful in the way he conducts massage. He listened very intently when I explained my concerns about my stress and tension and this is the first time Ive ever had a massage that relaxed my back so much that parts of my spine and ribs naturally adjusted back into place during the course of the massage. This is definitely something I will be doing more regularly as I now know that massage can be more than something that feels good and relaxing once in a while; its truly beneficial to my physical health and the condition of my back, muscles, and spine.

Mary was excellent and put allot of good energy and time into handling my shoulder is I walked in at a 10 in pain. I left at a 2-3. Thank you so much for the help and be back for sure

Ive always gotten a great massage from every massage therapist Ive tried. The rooms are clean and comfortable and I love the heated massage tables. They are always kind and professional and Ive always been able to get an appointment on the day I want.

Today was my first time in. I got my first deep tissue massage and it was amazing. Ill be seeing Pat again. He made my first experience wonderful. I was terrified of a deep tissue massage, now Im addicted. So relaxing and just what I needed. Thanks Pat!! (:

I’ve had two 90 min sessions with Brenda now and they were great. She really seems to be able to sense exactly where I need to most work done, and she checks in often to see how her pressure is. I appreciate that.

Therapist worked specifically on the areas of tension that I identified. She demonstrated a variety of massage techniques & touches that addressed my specific concerns. I felt so much better afterwards! Business is also very professionally run with a front desk staff, online scheduling, etc.

I have continued paying my membership during the Coronavirus Pandemic. I was happy to do so to help support the local economy. I understand the need for precaution during this time and take it very serious. I work in a healthcare setting with founded practices to prevent contamination. Today, I showed up on time for my scheduled appointment and participated in curbside check-in. I honestly reported having a productive cough, which is not a symptom of COVID 19. I was asked to wait in 90 degree heat for 15 minutes for the manager to decide if I was well enough to enter the building. I was told not to return for 2 weeks. Even if I had been cleared, 20% of the time would have been used waiting. The manager needs to get familiar with the actual symptoms and consult a medical professional if the business is to survive. Now they’ve lost a customer and their worker is out wages. Also worth noting is that the appointment reminder doesn’t mention you’ll be banned if you have an unfounded symptom.

I get a massage every month! It is something I really look forward to. I highly recommend trying a few therapists to find one that you really like. If you are looking for a place that is more affordable and flexible, Elements in Cottonwood is awesome!

The 1 star is due to the companys financial policies and lack of security with customer credit cards, allowing for fraudulent charges. 5-star massage therapists! Peaceful ambiance. Recommend NOT signing up for membership; giving your card # is a big mistake. Pay with cash and enjoy the experience.

Just had my first massage at 3 with Meg. She is amazing and really knows what she is doing. The place is clean, nice and everyone is very friendly. Will be back soon!

Used a gift card so I cant speak to the pricing but it was definitely one of the better massages Ive had. She really addressed my problem areas and seemed genuinely interested in trying to correct them.

Honestly I was about to leave a bad review because of how pushy the sales were at the end( shame on the owners for making the employees do that) but I got probably the best massage I’ve ever had from Alex. I’ll definitely come back and see him. If the sales are the same at the end when I’m trying to be chill I’ll for sure update my review

Due to my stress, I have been grinding my teeth at night which not only caused headaches, but irritated my TMJ. Jennifer, the masseuse was very knowledgable about reducing tension and not only did I receive a full body massage, she paid extra attention to the muscle tension that was the source of my headaches and TMJ. And I can finally say that I have stopped grinding my teeth!
