I LOVE Karma Spa. I have come here for years. I get the 60 min Foot Massage and various 60 min massages. Hot Oil, Aromatherapy and Swedish. My therapists have always been professional and courteous. The Spa has always been accommodating. I love that theres parking, water given and the opportunity to pay with cash or card. Hands down my favorite spot.

I’ve been coming here since 2020. The service is spectacular! Both front desk and masseurs. For me, Peter is hands down the BEST there. He takes care of you, listens to your body and in a way works with your energy. He knows where to massage and how much pressure to put.All of them are great as I’ve had the opportunity to have a massage with different people but Peter has been the one that as soon as the session is over, I don’t want to get up, I feel like I’m floating, and the best is that I ALWAYS get the best sleep ever.KARMA SPA will always be my to go place! And their prices are inexpensive compared to the rest of San Diego’s.

Booked a massage while in town visiting last week with my husband for massages. While my husband had a fine massage, I did not enjoy mine. The experience was not very relaxing as my massage therapist used very chaotic movements that felt rushed. I did not enjoy the intense head scratching I received too. I was looking forward to a nice relaxing massage so I was a bit disappointed.

I went here twice during my 5-day visit and it was a pleasant experience both times. The environment is calming.. I really loved how the masseuse was explaining why she was massaging and spending so much time on certain areas where she felt the knots and tension was. They are very friendly and very attentive always telling me during the massage to let them know what you want. Both times I left I felt like I just wanted to curl in the bed and be sleep for days its very relaxing and when I visit I will be back again.

My back was twisted due to heavy lifting and I couldn’t stand straight. I went to Karma Relaxation Spa for help and a gentleman called Andy provided an excellent service that I decided to add anther 30mins at the spot. I felt so great after my body massage! I highly recommended this place 👍

By far, the best spa and massage place in San Diego. So nice and kind and relatively inexpensive and they have the nicest people working there and going there. If you go, remember to tip generously in cash. What goes around, comes around and this place is awesome. Great male and female massage artists. I have been a patron of both Karma Carlsbad but my original experience has been Hillcrest. For the prices and value they offer I- hands down come to Karma for all my self care needs. I love how accessible and professional they are but above all- the variety of self care needs keep me coming back. I love my 90 minute massages. I am an athlete and for on going maintenance, their style of massage suites me and gets me ready for all my workouts.Above all- the skin care I get here rivals that of all fancy high dollar spas. Michelle is an AMAZING esthetician and she offers everything!!! I love the derma plane facials and peels. I don’t want to say it’s the fraction of the cost that makes me come back but that she truly cares and gives time and attention and her skin is amazing and I look and feel amazing when I leave. Don’t turn your eye to the highly unpretentious and relatable atmosphere when you step in. I am so proud and happy they are expanding their services to include so much more in the near future. Karma spa is a hidden gem, a value beyond what the market is offering. Come! Come and book an appointment with Michelle and all the wonderful staff!!!! Scrubs, foot reflexology, two hands, facials! Soon steam and sauna baths! My oasis!!!!

I have been going to Karma Spa for 5 years now and I love how easy it is to book services as well as their affordable prices. Eva is an amazing massage therapist, I highly recommend her for the Swedish massage!

The massage was amazing! I had one of the slots closest to closing and it didn’t feel like they were rushing. She took her time and if I visit this area again I will be back !

Ive been to Karma Spa in Hillcrest quite a few times and every time its a wonderful experience. The staff is always so professional and experienced and the value is 10/10! Its my go-to spot.

I got a gift certificate for Mother’s Day and I had Alice. I had messed up my neck and I’m seeing a chiropractor as well and she really got in there and loosened the muscle tension. I even joined as a member and can’t wait to see Alice again.

The massage therapist is really professional.The only thing that was bothersome is the room temperature .It should be on the warm side to help make the muscles more relaxed .

Im very happy with the service. The place is clean and very relaxing. I had Tim did my foot massage, but it also includes the whole body work. He did a good job! The price is reasonable compared to others! The place also has their own parking within downtown area.

Great service and friendly staff. The manager is super nice and always helpful. We had a couples massage and facials. The esthetician at the Hillcrest location has magic hands. Such a relaxing experience, we will definitely be back.

****Update January 2024I went in for the massage and was treated very nicely by the masseuse, as well as the front desk personnel.I ended up doing a solo massage, because Karma management only offered me 1 free redo massage even though the ones that were messed up was a couples massage so I feel like it would’ve been better business to give us a free couples massage so that we both can have a better experience. The massage was good, but I probably won’t go back because me and my wife enjoy couples massages and she wasn’t offered by Karma an opportunity to do right by her.So ide say 3.5/5.**** Update December 2023Karma Spa management reached out to me (some change in management could have been the reason I was lost in communication) they worked with the owners and I was able to go over my experience and I did get an apology as well as them asking for me to come back to re due my experience just myself.I will take them up on this offer and see how things go.I bumped my review from 1 star to 3 pending the experience I get next. I will update then.****Unfortunately, I did not want to leave this review. I’ve been going to Karma for approximately seven years. Last Septembers visit was enough to make me not go again.The service was poor at best we did not receive the full amount of time paid for ( pay for 90 minutes was cheated five minutes of that time, and I usually look the other way on this matter, but it seems to be a reoccurring issue). On top of that issue it seems this particular time the masseuse, both of them during this couples massage wasted about 30 minutes doing nothing beneficial. during that 30 minutes it was not considered a massage yet reapplying oil/lotion to the same area on my leg and my partners with no pressure or technique. is a pure waste of money in time could’ve been spent doing the massage. My partner in the same room repeatedly asked their masseuse to go lighter pressure in certain areas. The masseuse was sighing, and seemed irritated every time the request was made.Massage was very subpar compared to others I’ve received in the past at this location as well as others.Overall, the experience was terrible and at the end the front desk receptionist had already gone home so we could not charge a tip to our card nor did we really want to leave a tip and we got harassed by masseuse for 15 minutes with them telling us to leave a tip. They gave us a QR code to Venmo the tip, and when we sent it to get them off our backs so we could leave they were upset with how little the tip was.. This behavior was not OK and unprofessional. I called the manager the next day who was not in and left a voicemail for him with the receptionist and expected a call back from him instead, the reception is calling back and relay a message that I could get $15 off a future massage, as unhappy as I was with that, I let the receptionist know it would be nice to be able to express my concern for this location with him one on one over the phone and to please call me back to speak. A day later I did get a call back from the manager. He seem genuinely concerned with the situation. He said he would speak to the owner but it’s almost been two months and I have not heard back which makes me pursue my review about my visit I gave plenty of time to get proper feedback And assistance, and they did not deliver. I can only hope that somehow my information was lost even though I am a frequent customer and that would be the reason I did not hear back.

My husband and I went in today for a couples massage. I like a little extra pressure but not quite deep tissue. My therapist did a wonderful job and my husband was very pleased with his also. It was quite possibly the best massage I’ve ever had.

Its one of the best massage places in Hillcrest! I personally enjoy the VIP Package because you receive three different services for a very reasonable price. I personally enjoy the deep-tissue massage here, sauna, and hot foot bath. Highly recommend!

The inside of this place is very relaxing. However the appointment was not.I scheduled a chair massage for my husband that would target only the upper body. I was upset to know that they disregarded the scheduled massage and attempted to have my husband take off his clothes and lay down flat. The massage that was chosen was suppose to have the clothes stay on and be completed in a chair. I selected this massage due to my husband being post op from a surgery and not being able to lie down flat on his stomach. The massage ended up being painful and not at all what I scheduled for. If a massage is listed as one thing, it should be completed that way. I felt terrible for scheduling this appointment for my husband that ended up causing more harm than good. Really disappointed with this experience.

I used to live down the street and this was my spot! I moved to downtown, tried some place else and was really disappointed. Now I make the 10 minute drive up because its worth it.Im never disappointed here. The massage is always great. Ive done a couple of the additional services - the steam room, the sauna, the footbath detox. All of those have been great as well.The front desk staff has been consistently friendly and welcoming each time I visit. Theyve also added a lot more signage in my years of visits to better understand their packages, gratuity, and other service options.Ive never had a bad experience with any of the staff here! Definitely recommend.

What a fantastic massage! The place is clean and the staff is friendly. The massage was perfect. The price is perfect as well. It’s not a high end spa. It’s not posh. But it’s affordable and the message is great. I get a lot of massages at all kinds of places. I will definitely be returning to Karma Relaxation Spa!

I left my 11k gold chain in the room. Lisa my massage therapist returned it to the front desk and I picked it up the next day. Not only are the massages top notch, fairly priced but the therapists are honest! Best spa in SD

This was my first ever time getting a massage and facial, and I’m so glad I went here! I got the hot oil massage and mini facial. The massage was 90% relaxing with the only caveat that I didn’t realize how knotted and tense my muscles are, so there were a couple ticklish moments 😅. The mini facial was AMAZING. Included neck and scalp massage and honestly, I could have fallen asleep. My skin was glowing after as well!The only negative I noticed was they charge an additional $5 for a harder massage, which I feel should just be included in the initial price. But maybe this is standard across spa’s - I wouldn’t know!

I found this place here on google map as it was close to our hotel and I am so glad I did! Eva was very skilled, very good massaged, I picked the cbd oil option. The place has a parking lot which is great, it was clean and and comfortable. Definitely will go back.

My wife booked us a 60-min couples massage while on vacation. The business is clean and updated. The staff are pleasant. The ambiance is good. My problem was the massage itself, which they very kindly did not charge me for. I lasted about 10 minutes. It felt like the woman massaging me was just following a routine (and not one that felt especially good). Sometimes it felt like a spine and bone massage, not a soft tissue massage. There was a huge language gap and I didn’t think I’d have much success describing the areas of my back that I feel she should spend more time on, OR describing the techniques she might use (after all, she’s the pro and I shouldn’t have to instruct her). I feel some small amount of responsibility for not understanding beforehand that it was a full body massage and I really didn’t care about my legs and arms getting much attention and should have specified I just wanted my back and neck done. However, on the other hand, the attention she gave to my back and other body parts and the way she was digging into my spine and bones and not my soft tissues/sore muscles didn’t leave me feeling confident that she would do a great job even if I were only getting a back and neck massage. I don’t like leaving negative reviews, especially when they gave me a refund with no issue, the facilities and ambiance were very nice, and the staff were very nice. I’m just not sure I’d ever recommend this place to someone else solely based on the “massage” I got and thought I should share a review.

A great place to unwind and get the best massage. Their membership program is definitely worth it. It comes with a free 60 min massage a month and if you get a massage outside of that it gives you points to redeem towards any services the shop offers. You can also use your free massage and points for friends or that special someone as a gift. I would recommend Peter or David if your looking for deep tussue.

They went so hard on me.. I asked to role play and they rod me like a farm pig.. 🐖 even had costumes to match my request..Definitely recommend

I booked The Premier Package wanting a day of pampering and I got more than I hoped for! My massages felt like they were going on forever in the best possible way. The masseuse was very good at asking about the type of pressure I wanted and what my level of comfort was. The package I got has 4 parts to it and the masseuse really walked me through each stage. I felt well taken care of. The prices for what you get are really amazing. I’ve been to a few other places in San Diego and I haven’t gotten this level of treatment for these prices. I will definitely be a repeat customer.

Love this place, discovered them at SD Pride festival and came in for a massage. Jack is amazing and talented masseuse and the manager Matt who I met at pride is welcoming and friendly. Will definitely tell my friends about it and be back often.

I have never had a massage before and I can say I will definitely be getting more after this! I had the 90 minute Swedish massage with Sam. The rooms were clean and the relaxing music was a great touch. He was professional, checked in with me about pressure and my comfort throughout the massage and did an amazing job.I feel so relaxed! Im visiting from out of town or I would come back here again. I highly recommend.They are very reasonably priced.Thank you so much to the staff!

I had high hopes after looking at the website. The staff and owner are very nice. I ordered the premier package. I walked into a room that smelled like mildew and they literally put my feet in a bucket of hot water and left the room for ten minutes. Then they put me in a giant heating pad basically. I got myself out and they gave me a full refund and were very kind. It’s just old smelling. Mildew. The rooms have carpet that smells really bad. I noticed a lot that seemed unsanitary and just overall mediocre. Do yourself a favor and spend a little more somewhere else.

Worst massage…if you’d call it that, I have ever had. Scam city beware people. Guy called Mike was not a certified therapist. Put his fat belly on my head and pushed my face into the table. Readers beware of this place. Partner had one also, it was ‘good’ but the therapist cracked his neck??? I’m sure you can find a better place for the same amount or less.

So I’ve been coming to this place for about a year and half now, but today.. today I got the BEST massage from Jack and Michael. My wife and I did a 90 min hot oil couple massage. Our massages were very custom to what our body was telling them. They had very firm confident pressure. They listened to my body language very well too! I can’t stop thinking about how amazing I feel right now. Come and get massage from either of these two amazing massage therapists! It’s worth it!

I got a two hour deep tissue that melted my stress and my brain into a puddle of bliss. Seriously the best and most comfortable massage ever. I just had surgery and am going in to get some help with the healing process. Can’t wait to go back.

I found this place on Yelp because of overwhelming 5☆ reviews..so I decided to give it a try on Fathers day. The staff was very nice & accommodating. I booked a 2 hours for $100. Very affordable considering its in Hillcrest. I was impressed with how clean & neat the place was..and the massage was better..especially the foot massage..because Im on my feet all day at work..The only down side was the room light was bright. But I didnt mind ..I just told her to put the towel on my head . I highly recommend you give this place a try.

Ever since I found out about karma spa, I been going back for massage and facials here at the Hillcrest location. The business is very accommodating with last minute massage schedule. Mike the male massage therapist is amazing!! They all do a great job at deep tissue. Affordable prices as well compare to other massage prices. I never leave disappointed. Thank you Karma spa.

I was in town on business and decided to spoil myself with a massage. This place was recommended to me by a client and decided to go for it. I was very pleasantly surprised to find plenty of free parking in the adjacent parking lot. I walked in and was greeted warmly. As I was led to a small private room, I walked through a beautiful open room with inviting cots/bed near the ground, divided by sheer curtains and twinkle lights. It was magical. The room I was in was lovely as well. The lighting and scent of the room were perfect. I had a 60min full body massage and my masseuse (Jennifer) was a master at her craft. This was legit the best massage experience I have ever had. Highly recommend.

I took my friend here for her birthday and it did not disappoint. I had been to Karma Spa before with my husband and we had a great experience. I had the same massage therapist (Jasmine) and she was very good. My friend had a very good experience, dont recall her therapists name. Sorry.The spa is very clean and it offers a lovely relaxing atmosphere. The prices are very affordable and definitely worth it. I suggest tipping well if you are happy with the experience. These folks deserve it. We will definitely be back. So glad we found this place thats so close by.

Staff is not trained properly. I was traumatized by this place and now am too affraid to get a massage anywhere. It took me about 2 months to finally give a review, but please stay away from this business.

Been going here on and off for years and it just gets better. Tonight I had the best massage Ive had in a long time. KRS has always been good but this time was amazingly designed for me. My body feels reset and relaxed. Will be back soon.

I have enjoyed my time here at Karma Relaxation. I truly believe this is the best bang for your buck! The quality of services is really great! The North County location is very impressive and as soon as you walk into the front reception area, your experience starts! The waiting room sets the tone of your experience, and the anticipation of getting more relaxed overcomes you. My wife and I did the couples massage and we loved every minute of it! This place is a very high recommendation in my book!

Got a couple massage and it was amazing! Great price and the area is very clean. We were very comfortable here and the massages felt so relaxing!! We also did a 30 min sauna afterwards and enjoyed that just as much! The staff are extremely friendly and polite. We already booked our next massages! We are extremely satisfied!!

If you want an amazing massage with no frills, this is the place. I woke up one morning with a sore neck and decided to treat myself. I booked an appointment online and was on a table two hours later. I immediately regretted not booking 2 hours instead of one. The masseuse didnt speak much but he surely paid attention to my knots and areas of concern. Will be scheduling in my rotation from now on

Booked a couples massage with my fiancé. Overall, the environment was nice but I did not enjoy my massage whatsoever. Unfortunately, the men were very pushy on how we needed to be dressed. Immediately made me uncomfortable. The massage was ok in the beginning but some body parts I did not touched and were still violated. I was extremely uncomfortable. My fiancé felt the same way. I know it was a full body massage but it did not feel good and the masseuse had a very heavy hand, it made my body feel more achy then before. I hate to leave bad reviews but this massage was not it.

I may have just had the best massage of my life with Jack at the Hillcrest location. I booked a massage for just back and neck because I always hate my legs massaged due to pressure issues. He did start working on my legs but with the pressure used and the technique it was amazing.

Always start on time and never no waiting in the lobby. And great service.

Went in for a Swedish massage, had the BEST massage from Sasa. Definitely recommend her. perfect pressure, was very polite and respectful and made sure i was comfortable the whole massage! Will absolutely be returning!!

Clean spa like atmosphere. front desk staff is friendly. massage therapists have all been great. Ive had four 90 min massages by 3 different therapists and they were all wonderful massages, but i did like Anita the best. The massages were just the right touch, deep when it was needed and a softer touch where necessary, and very specific with the muscles and stretches. I was very pleased, so pleased that i brought my in-laws there for the holidays, and they absolutely loved it. I definitely recommend Karma! Oh yah...did i mention the price:) unbeatable!

My favorite massage spot. I like really deep massages and I have never been disappointed (men and women). Great value! When you get an hour massage, you get the FULL hour no the usual 50 minutes from other places. The foot massage is an even better value since they not only rub your feet but your head, legs, neck and back. Really friendly staff who get to know you and what you like. Cant say enough about this place.

Took my boyfriend here for a morning of relaxation and had a wonderful experience! We did an hour long couples massage. The massage was amazing and for a very decent price! A quiet calm friendly staff member greets you and advise you to relax before your masseuse quietly guides you to your massage. You can request male or female masseuse and let all the stress fade away in a comfortable and safe environment

Very professional and talented masseuse! This is the perfect place to relax and unwind. I highly recommend the reflexology foot massage. Johnny and Mike are my favorite therapists. But Ive never had a bad massage there. . They have great employees including friendly receptionist.

My best friend and I took a weekend trip to San Diego for a quick getaway with no real plans and found Karma Relaxation Spa. It was wonderful!! It was very clean, welcoming, and right across the street from our hotel so we just walked over. Both massage therapists did an amazing job!! My friend was expecting at the time and they did a wonderful prenatal massage for her. We both felt extremely relaxed after. Definitely recommend!!!

I found Karma Relaxation Spa about 3 years ago through a Groupon. I was impressed the very first time I went for my massage and body detoxification. I have gone several times over the last 3 years and have taken friends and family members along some of the time. They were sold, too. The people, the atmosphere, the whole spa is such a relaxing, friendly place to be. I am looking forward to my next visit in a week or so. Excellent and well-trained employees. You will not be sorry you experienced this spa.

I occasionally get muscle spasms in my lower back, which can be quite painful for several days. I have only found relief from hot stone massages, and had been looking for a good one in San Diego for a while. I had a 90 min appointment with Tomas, and he was amazing. I asked for hotter stones and told him when a technique was particularly effective, and he made sure to pay attention to my requests.My only complaints are that my shoulders are quite sore (really my fault, as I enjoyed the pressure at the time), and that the actual massage was closer to 70 min. I understand that they need turn around time, but I was a bit disappointed that it wasnt a few min longer, because it was so good!They were also taking temperatures of guests as they arrived, and being compliant with COVID regulations, which I really appreciated. Would highly recommend.

Overall we liked our experience. We took a couple president package. Massage was okay, but they just seem to refuse to work with both hands simultaneously. Bad communication. No private changing rooms.

One of the best massage experiences I’ve ever had. Purchased the Presidential Spa, a two hour spa that starts with clothes on, goes to clothes off and ends with dry or steam sauna. Excellent price. Excellent service. Would go back if I lived in San Diego!

By far the best place for a massage! 5 stars for cleanliness, customer service, and most of all their world class therapists! I have my favorites but honestly, they are all good. And their rates are so affordable, you can keep coming back! Where else can you get a head to toe, front & back massage for less than $30?? They call this an hour foot massage, but its not just your feet they work on, they literally work your entire body and fully clothed! They do offer traditional massages in private rooms too which are just heavenly, whether for yourself or with a special someone, make sure you check Karma out for the best massages youll ever have!

Ive been getting the REFLEXOLOGY MASSAGE here for quite awhile. The body massage portion isnt as extensive as youd like, but thats because this massage is mostly geared toward massaging your feet. However, I do like when they massage my face, neck/shoulders and back - its just a relaxing massage rub down.Ive had a few therapists , Im not really picky, so Im not sure who Ive had exactly, but each one has been pretty decent. Some better than others, but all in all everyone is good.The place is clean, reception and receptionists have always been nice. The private rooms, and public rooms are nice and clean. And the public room is pretty quiet, except for the occasional snorer :)Theyre pretty good at getting you in the day of as well. Ive called a few hours in advance and they were able to take care of me.

My friends and I took a day trip to San Diego for a quick getaway since we are college girls just to find a massage and a nice restaurant. We came across Karma Relaxation Spa and it was wonderful.Karma Relaxation Spa is a nice place. The place is very clean, the workers have good customer service and some of the best prices. Once in the Spa, everything is calm and dark to give that relaxing feel. We had friendly therapist who did an awesome job at massaging. After our massage we all felt extremely relaxed. Making appointments are easy to make as well as Karma has deals throughout the week, month, and year on Facebook or through email. They do have there owe parking lot so you dont have the hassle of finding a park on the street. I would definitely recommend.

I loved this place! Planned a trip down to San Diego just to attend this spa! The customer service was great and also got a discount for using cash even though the prices are already affordable it was great! We got to choose the who we wanted to be in the room with and the person we wanted to get the massage by. I got the guy and he was wonderful it wasnt painful and he got all the kinks out. I would recommend to anyone cant wait to go back!

Great day spa for a massage! Nice quiet area for foot massages. Massages are great and the prices are very affordable. The packages are a great deal if you want to relax a little longer. Sasha and the other therapists always do a great job with the massages and the folks at the counter have always been friendly and helpful to me. I’ve been a member for over three years and will continue to be.

I bought myself and the wife a full body couples massage for an hour here. The price point was absolutely amazing and beat almost every other place in San Diego County that I could find. The massage was pretty good quality, there was not a lot of talking or asking questions, and it was very professional. They did not try to upsell me or give me anything else that I did not need. I will definitely be going back to this place in the future.

This is a top notch, legit and clean massage spa. Very affordable yet professional. I have gotten great chair and table massages here with deep work done on my shoulders. After visits to several places around town and having poor services, I found this place. I have been a regular for a year now. Everyone I have had give me a massage at this location has been great! I first discovered Karma when I was living in San Diego, and now that I live in LA, I still come down to Hillcrest just to get a massage here!The therapists are great, place is always clean, and the owner is amazing. Anytime I run into her, she makes sure to ask if I enjoyed the massage and what I thought about it. Customer Service is top notch!Joe is my favorite therapist, so make sure to ask for him if you can! I have been going here for a few years now, about once every couple of months. Great experience every time. Ambiance is nice, people are friendly and massages are excellent. I usually get a 60 minutes body massage. Once in a while, I go for one of their unique packages, which are a surprisingly good value for money. I highly recommend giving them a try.

My husband and I came in today 9/16 for a hot oil couples massage. It was excellent to say the least! Our MTs were very thorough, and did a fantastic job. Our appt. was at 10am, and our massage itself started at around 10:10, and they finished at 11:10, so it was the full hour. Other places I have been count the dressing and undressing time as part of the massage, and they usually do not get to every area like they do at Karma. We will definitely be back, and I highly recommend this place.

I was given a gift card for my birthday by a wonderful human being who, knew I had never ever had a massage before. Karma was such a awesome experience. I would recommend Karma to anyone who needs some pampering. I had a 2 hr hot oil massage and it was like heaven. My masseuse Ken was the best. Do yourself a favor and make a appointment.

Very nice and clean inside. Lobby is very relaxing. I’d give the couples massage overall a 7/10 just because one of the guys massaging was sick and wouldn’t stop clearing his throat. Kind of ruins the relaxing vibe. Also, from our room, you could here people in their break room talking. But I’d give it another try. Prices are pretty reasonable

I booked a couples massage with my husband, as their prices seemed very reasonable and I had read good reviews online. We were able to get appointments quickly and easily over the phone. Overall the quality of the massage was very good. The facility is clean, and everyone working there was very polite. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 was because they were running quite behind, and our appointment started approximately 30 minutes late.

I love Karma!!! Best massages Ive ever had :) the staff is always friendly and flexible. Ive never had a bad experience the past 2 years Ive been going. Johnny is so talented and really gets all of the built up tension in my neck/shoulders - really strong but thats what I prefer. Definitely try this spa out!

Im really content with the place. Is small yet perfect! I love their facial services. Erica does my facials, she is such a great therapist. She keeps me inform about my skin needs and is kind and gentle. I think the price is mid range, which is not bad at all.

The service you get for the money you pay is well worth it. I got the 60 min detox with the 60 min massage, sauna & vichy shower. It was the best 2 1/2 hours Ive had in a long time. The detox was relaxing, the massage was great. Id recommend it a thousand times. A few of my family members have tried it and they loved it too!

I can’t believe why the place hire front desk staff who are so unprofessional. While I was waiting in the lobby, they mocked and disrespected the massage workers and kept on commenting and laughing at customers for their appearance, financial status, and even their relationships. If you don’t want your personal life bothered by just wanting to get relaxed, then go to a different place.

My daughter in law and I both enjoyed our massages at Karma Spa. My masseuse had the perfect touch and found a very tight area in my shoulder and gently worked it out. Id never had a Vichy shower and it was so relaxing. My daughter in law lives in Florida, so when shes visiting Im sure well make it a regular event. Ill definitely go back again!

We got there and I was a little nervous based on the entrance. Thought it might be a little ‘shady’ but my husband assured me they were the best. And they were. I saw Judy. She was incredible. Great prices, great massage, great atmosphere. I will be back again.

Our appointment was for an aromatherapy back, shoulder and neck massage. Their website states the cost at $50 but we were charged $60. The masseuses must not have been told what massage we booked because they tried to give us a regular full body thing.

Went yesterday for the first time. And It was very happy with the whole experience. I got the CEO package.I didnt do the shower this time around.But plan on doing it next time. Massage was amazing. I left feeling lighter and relaxed. Loved that they have their own parking lot. So you dont spend forever looking for parking in Hillcrest. I will definitely be going back.

Ive been here a couple times and found the experience very enjoyable and relaxing. My massage therapists name both times was Joel and he was very good. The prices are very affordable, appointments are easy to make and I like that Karma has deals throughout the week on Facebook. They also let you substitute the Vichy Shower for extra massage time in some of the packages. The location is slightly hard to find, but theres parking, which is great!

I have a VIP membership with Karma, so obviously like their service; yet my first time experience getting 4 hand massage was poor. Both massage therapist kept talking one another and then went to whispering, it really ruined my first time experience getting a 4 hand massage. Both massage therapist both walked in and just got started, they bother to ask about pressure or my problem areas. I wanted a deep tissue massage, but only got it half the time. Last thing, I had to remind them to use my $5 dollar off service for being a VIP member.

Wonderful job very thoughtful massage. Im good for about 2 to 5 a month. Im quite familiar with various techniques in massage. I wish I could remember the name of the young lady who worked on my knots for 90 minutes... regardless, fantastic job in a clean dim light facility.

I would’ve given 5 stars but my boyfriend didn’t get the same treatment I did sadly. My boyfriend and I got a 90min couples massage. My experience was absolutely great, but my boyfriend’s wasn’t. My masseuse was the best, she asked me how much pressure I wanted and would check in occasionally if the pressure was okay. Her hands were incredible! BUT my boyfriend on the other hand, his masseuse didn’t ask him how he wanted it or checked in on him if he was doing fine. She was putting way too much pressure on him and was really rough. He didn’t enjoy it at all, he could barely walk and was hurting everywhere when we left.

Ive been going to Karma since it opened a few years ago. This is the best place for a massage in San Diego. The prices cant be beat and the treatments are great as well. All of the therapists I have ever had are excellent. Some of them might have to beat me up a bit to get the knots out but afterwards I always feel great! I always get an apology when they need to go really deep too. :) I am a runner and Karma keeps everything moving smoothly! I made my appointment online and was happy to be able to get in the same day within a few hours. I choice to get a Thai massage and it was a mixture of deep stretching and traditional swedish. Leo was excellent, and the whole environment was clean, the customer service was great, and I will for sure be back soon!

My experience at Karma was awesome. The past three times I have gone, I went with my partner and we both left feeling extremely relaxed and feeling like we had no bones which was a good thing. The last experience was with the vice president package, which included the massage, shower, sauna, detox and the price was more than reasonable, so I was more than happy to leave a generous tip for the two masseurs who are so talented.

Ive bounced around to a bunch of different spas through groupon, but never found one that I really liked. Was recommended to Karma by a friend and am glad of it! When you pay for an hour massage, you get a full hour massage, surprisingly thats an impressive move for most spas. Been there 3 times with a different massage therapist each time and have never had a bad experience! To keep this real I will say that there was a snarky receptionist one time who gave me attitude for being upset about a mistake that is apparently pretty common on their website (when you click a person to do the massage after clicking the anyone preference, you most likely will not get that person even though they were listed), HOWEVER! other than her Ive had an awesome experience and will continue to go there.

This place is really really relaxing! and has amazing deals where you get pretty much all of their services!! The only thing I didnt like was the Vichy shower, I never had it before and wanted to try it. But they should tell people that the technician is in the room with you and washes you, if would have known that I wouldve opted for the extra massage time! BUt overall it was really nice, massages are amazing, and especially the foot detox/massage! I will definitely be back, I want to try the hot oil hair treatment!!! :)

Usually given to me as gifts they are always accommodating and even got a special masseuse for me when i was pregnant that knew how to give me a massage. The atmosphere is tranquil with oriental music softly playing and private rooms for full body massage. Very cleanly and super friendly staff. I had a 60 minute deep tissue massage. I usually go to Massage Envy where they are pretty good about asking you your level of comfort throughout the massage, careful about tucking you in, etc. I really dont care if the sheet falls off me, but I felt like I was being tossed and twisted around with no level of attention to the details Im used to. It was still a good massage, but an almost uncomfortable experience since its the opposite of what Im used to.

Karma Relaxation Spa is very different than other spas. It has an oriental feel to it. The massage beds are low to the floor and very comfortable. The light is dim and the room just feels relaxing. There are several beds in the room, but it is very quiet. You quickly forget there are others in the room.I had the detox massage. You soak your feet in a detox liquid and then the therapist tells you where your body is detoxing. Ive done this several times, and it is always enjoyable. I will go back again and again. Ive been to other San Diego massage spas, but this is my favorite. It just feels like the way a spa should be.

Ive paid close to $200 dollars for a 60 minute massage in several places (trying to be like the joneses) and Karma really is high tissue massage quality. In fact, if you can budget at least $120 monthly toward you wellness and positivity, this will be at least two massages.TIP:Remember your can ask for gender preference.Gratuity at the right amount is karma.Mid-morning and later evening appointments are likely available same day.

I recently had a 90 deep tissue massage with Andy and it was really great. I felt like he was very intuitive with where my pains and knots were and relentless in getting them out! After the massage I tried the vishy shower and it was the perfect ending to a very relaxing afternoon. I have been there many times and it is always very clean and professional.

Im from southern Arizona and was visiting San Diego with my friends late May 2016. My friend and I decided that we deserved a massage and to get a couples massage (we are not a couple, we both have boyfriends but we thought it would be a fun experience). Anyways, her parents had gone to Karma last year and said it was great and when we looked at the prices online, we immediately booked an appt at 2 in the morning for later that day! I had read a review that CoCo was a great masseuse so I picked her as mine and let me say, I was not disappointed!! She was great and used great pressure on me! We had the Vice President package, I believe, which included a 15 min detox, 60 min massage, and a 15 min steam room. It was all great and I walked out feeling amazing and refreshed! I highly recommend this spa and CoCo. We are already planning our next San Diego trip and will definitely visit this place again!

I love this place! The ambiance is amazing, the massage therapists are amazing, and parking is provided (in the middle of Hillcrest!). My back and shoulders get pretty messed up from working on computers all the time, so when I get a massage I like it to be as deep as possible. The couple deep tissue massage therapists there who have worked on me really use there forearms, elbows, and feet to really work out the muscles, but they also constantly check to make sure the pressure is ok - Ive been to other places that arent that conscientious about that. Highly recommend. Plus the prices are good and they always offer good deals!

Ive been here twice. The first time my friend and I were taken into a double room where we had a great massage. Then we were brought into a large shared room and the relaxation continued - foot detox, head-neck-shoulder massage. We chose not to do the sauna.The second time I thought my friend and I would go into a private double again, but everything was out in the large shared room. The only reason Im not giving 5 stars is because I wish I knew more what to expect each time I go. That and the sauna is very small. You and a friend is great - but when someone else comes in you dont know its pretty tight.Ill keep going to figure it out. Reasonably priced and decent/fun experience.

I was in a lot of pain in my right shoulder that the pain went to my head and it was affecting my mobility. I was waiting for physical therapy to start. Decided to get a massage and honestly it relieved majority of the pressure and pain! I still required PT but my rehab time was very brief thanks to Karma Relaxation Spa!

I was brought here for my Birthday and it was amazing!!! The package that was ordered for me was Presidential, and it exceeded my expectations. I had a Head to toe massage, Ionic foot bath, (to soak the toxins out of my body), Viche shower and ten minutes in the sauna. This was the worst massage experience I’ve ever had. I regularly get Swedish massages elsewhere. I booked a 60 minute couples massage. The therapists gender I requested was overlooked so we had to wait an additional 40 minutes after arriving before we were taken back. Not a big deal. But then the massage began. I was in so much pain afterwards that it hurt to hold my own purse. 3 times I told the masseuse to be more gentle or lighter but due to the language barrier I’m not sure it was communicated. They did not speak any English. Not one point in my massage did it actually feel good or relaxing. I asked for a Swedish and felt like I was getting a deep tissue. My boyfriend did moderately enjoy his massage so I counted down the minutes until it was over so I would not ruin his. This was his first massage. He did mention afterward that it hurt several times but he did not speak up like I did because he thought that’s how it was supposed to feel. That is not his masseuses fault, however in a Swedish massage I’ve never known them to cause pain. The masseuse spent so much time making my back ache that by the time she got to my feet she spent maybe 20 seconds on each and it was over. I would never return to this place. There are other less impactful things that made it not a good experience, such as how hot and stuffy the room was and the whole time I was listening to my masseuse coughing, sneezing, sucking up her mucus, sighing, clearing her throat and other cold related noises. I did receive a small $9 discount for not enjoying my massage and the girl at the front desk was friendly. She stated “someone from management” was going to call me the very next day, which they never did. All in all I would not recommend anyone to get a massage here and won’t be returning. I still feel sharp pains in my neck, shoulder and low back.

However, Ive fallen in love with Karma Spa and paying more attention to how it helps me both physically and mentally. They are affordable and I even got a membership so I can be sure to do a little something and those I care about and for myself whenever I can. Karma has been our families favorite for years.We have tried many other places before finding Karma and only a couple since.We always return to Karma. If you dont mind the lack of privacy (as with most of the massage salons your are clothed and in a room with several other clients) then the foot massage is the best. We all have our favorite masseuse (there are 7 of us)

I really love going there. Me and my honey went there few times on special events for our year anniversary, they did really good job massage the head to toe. I just wish they would spend a little more time on each body part. since we both are hard working couples, and do hurt alot, would like pains to ease.Prices are reasonable, but kinda expensive now this days for me to afford 2 people out of my price range.. My friend (who is a massage therapist) has only recommended two of the foot reflexology spots in town. This is one of them. I came here last week, but seeing a deal on Yelp - skipped the foot massage in favor of the Swedish massage.Normally I dont like the hard massages, so when she was going a bit easy on me, I quite enjoyed it. However, I didnt feel quite so relaxed once it was all over as I do sometimes after massages. So, Ill probably go with the foot massage. next time.

Depends on your therapist, my girlfriend and I are both bruised from our last visit.... Repeatedly told them to ease up and yet they continued to elbow our backs IN THE SAME SPOT. Over and over.... If you are expecting a great professional massage go elsewhere. 2 stars for prices.

My boyfriend and I went in for a hot oil couples massage and although my massage therapist (male) was good, the massage therapist (female) for my boyfriend was rude and inconsiderate. She didn’t ask if she could walk on his back before doing so and after he informed her that it was hurting him she actually laughed at him and dug in deeper to the point where he told her to stop completely. Mind you we are both Vets and suffer from chronic back pain from serving in the military, so when we go for massages it’s to relax and not to do more damage.

I had booked a reservation for three individuals at noon, but the person taking my reservation only booked for one person. This threw our plans for a loop as my other two friends werent going to get anything. We ended up leaving and the owner called me back to make things right. We got in a massage later that night and we all had a pleasant massage for our first time there.

Let me start by saying that I avoid giving scathing reviews on anything if I can help it. However, my experience was so notably bad that if I could give Karma Relaxation zero stars, I would in a heartbeat.Everything from the service when checking in and out to the massage itself was far below the standard Ive come to expect from Karma Relaxation in the several years Ive been going there. Today was my birthday, and my partner treated me to a 2-hour sport massage. Ive had it several times at this establishment with no incident so it was a welcome treat for this overworked gym bunny. However, the practitioner I had today, Vick, was worse than bad.What I received barely qualified as a massage, let alone the specialized treatment that was paid for. Generally, sport massage incorporates deep tissue with some aided stretching while focusing on targeted areas.There was nothing about this massage that hinted that Vick had even a passing knowledge of basic human anatomy, let alone a legitimate certification to practice any modality of massage.The service I received was harried, erratic and at some points, downright DANGEROUS. Because I was the last appointment of the day I was treated to over an hour and a half of random poking and prodding with no apparent purpose other than simply running the clock until closing. If taking on a longer appointment was going to be a problem, wouldnt it have been better to offer an more convenient time?The massage alternated between rushed halfhearted one-handed prods as if he was on his phone or doing something else while massaging and harsh, forceful strokes with some landing dangerously close to several joints. At one point, when massaging the quads, Vick repeatedly pressed on my leg with the heels of his hands in a fashion similar to the compressions used in CPR. There was no mindfulness of his hand placement in relation to my knee whatsoever.It was when one of the spastic strokes landed on my knee, pushing it to the point of hyperextension, when I decided enough was enough and ended the massage then and there. The only thing worse than the laughably bad massage I received on my birthday was the near lack of acknowledgement from the front desk as I was leaving, apart from them picking up their bags and putting on their coats upon me entering the reception area.It was fifteen minutes from closing and I had already paid, so apparently there was no need to bother with me at all. At that point, I was far too incensed to clearly address what I had experienced, mostly because I knew it would fall on deaf ears. However, this experience was noteworthy enough for me to break my own code of avoiding negative reviews.The fact that Karma Relaxation employs clearly uncertified personnel to perform specialized modalities on the general public not only creates a customer experience that is counter to what their very name suggests, it is also incredibly dangerous. The few dollars you may think youre saving are not worth the risk. Enter at your own peril.

Large Spa Complex. I parked on the street but I believe there is a parking spot. I loved my massage. It was very relaxing. I opted for a 90 minute oil massage. They focused on my back. It was pleasure and pain. Prices are affordable. They have late hours so you can go after work... or right before bedtime to help you sleep.

The staff is friendly and very professional. My masseuse did an amazing job at working away all the knots and tension I had building up from an injury and had me back on my feet in no time. Their entire spa is relaxing and inviting and I hope to return again soon!

I started going to Karma Spa because I get a discount from my employer. Dont let the long/late hours fool you into thinking this is some shady spot. It is a legit, professional massage spa. The staff is knowledgeable and there is a new massage therapist named Tom who I will request rom now on...he did an amazing job. I love that they take walk ins, as my schedule is often hectic and it is hard for me to make reservations. I usually get the hour Swedish massage, but have also popped in for a quick 15 minute massage, which is affordable and sometimes all I need to feel better. I have not tried the happy hour specials yet, but they also look like a great deal.

I went for the first timers couples message and it was only $79.99 for 2 peeps a 1HOUR message in a TOTALLY PRIVATE ROOM! Best deal in town!! Not AT ALL a shady type message place! RELAXATION SPA was an UNDERSTATEMENT!!! This spot is all about comfort, tranquility,and relaxation!!! The entire staff were all super friendly,and very professional!!!

Got a detox and a 1 hour reflexology. It was perfect! I finally found my place! He hit all the right spots. After the foot massage, you turn over and get another neck, shoulder and back massage! Im so glad I went here! Oh and they have thier own parking lot! Will be definitely coming back and be a regular here!

I used a groupon here a while ago for the Vice Presidents package with my boyfriend. We were able to snag a private room with 2 massage beds. We both liked our masseuses (both females). The place is nice, clean & dimly lit (not in a creepy way). FYI their sauna is tiny.We got a complimentary foot detox since our massage was delayed due to other appointments running late before us. It was interesting, I had never had it done before...the water is extremely hot but it felt amazing afterwards.

Nice staff, clean and relaxing atmosphere and pretty decent massage for the price. My only complaint is the amount of elbow used during the massage is a bit excessive. Especially near the shoulder blades; resulting in sore muscles. Other than that my massage was relaxing and definitely help increase blood circulation (which I had been having problems with the 2 days prior).

I went here when I was pregnant and I didnt feel that the lady who massaged me was very knowledgeable about pregnancy massage. I was around 9 months pregnant and she had me lay on my back for quite awhile, leaving me out of breath. Youre not really supposed to lay on your back when youre that pregnant.Aside from that, just for a normal, non-preggy massage I think this place would be nice and relaxing and do the job.

No matter how many times I come here or who massages me it is ALWAYS 5 star service. The staff here is wonderful and the massages and services are the best in town. The cheap prices and spectacular service make this my go to spot for a massage always! Plus its so convenient that they are available late for those of us who work long hours.

I love Karma! My friend and I go quite regularly for the hour foot massages. You wont find a better massage for the value. Every staff member Ive ever had somehow finds exactly where my tension is kept and I leave feeling relaxed and refreshed.

Cool little spot in Hillcrest. Semi-private rooms, nice staff - very quiet. My masseuse had some strong hands and got the kinks out of my neck/back. They have a parking lot too so you dont have to create extra knots looking for parking. Decent prices too, I will be back soon!

I received a gift certificate for a hour foot massage from a friend. It was fabulous and very relaxing. They have their own parking lot which is great, it is also very clean and has a very calm atmosphere. I will definitely be back and I cant wait to try what else they have to offer!

The Karma Relaxation Spa was amazing! I left feeling so relaxed and refreshed after having The Director. I really enjoyed the foot mask and massage, it left my feet feeling so smooth and soft afterwards. I will definitely be going back and I highly recommend it.

Great massage for the price. The ambiance was nothing special. Typically the light is dimmed but it wasnt, the music wasnt your typical nature sounds (cant remember what it was), and kinda hoped the table/bed had a warmer because I was a little chilly but again you cant beat the price for hr and half massage. I would return (now I know what to expect).

The masseuse didnt speak English very well, so he couldnt understand what I was asking for or telling him. The shower room smelt like a sewer. The massage felt like they werent actually licensed. I dont typically write bad reviews ever. But this was too atrocious not to.

Came here on valentines day last year with the boyfriend. I decided to get the thai massage, which was definitely an experience. Nice and clean space on the inside. It was relaxing, although there were some communication barriers with the masseuse. She misunderstood when I said higher as harder so she really dug into my neck.....I went numb for a bit.... :( But other than that, it was not bad.

I love going to Karma Spa! If you need a good massage to keep your stress down and want it at the right price, then head to Karma Spa. They will go as hard or as gentle as you want. They have a parking lot, but it is tight. I was able to park a large pick up truck in it, so there is still plenty of space.

I wouldn’t recommend this place for prenatal at all. My massage felt like they just rubbed lotion and oil on me the entire time. My husband enjoyed his but felt as though they didn’t hit spots that he needed worked out like his shoulders and feet...

I am grateful beyond words to have found Karma Spa in Hillcrest, recommended to me by Naya Wellness Center in La Jolla. With chronic inflammation and kidney/adrenal issues, the sauna is a crucial part of my morning routine so that I can even be out and about on my feet as the day progresses. The staff is incredibly compassionate and efficient. The facility is curated like a Buddhist temple: clean, orderly, peaceful. And the therapies are more than fairly priced for the devotion and deep knowledge that these folks put into every therapy they offer. Worst message Ive ever had. Asked for deep tissue and not really sure he knew what he was doing. Did not go with blood flow and he was being very abrasive with his movements. Felt more like I was a punching bag. My friend had a good experience so theres that 🤷‍♀️. Wish I would have got the guys name. Do not reccomend him!

I went in tonight at the Hillcrest location for the ceo package. The ceo package includes 90 mins massage, 15 shower and 15 sauna. I declined the shower and was supposed to get more time (15 mins). I had a lady named Stephenie give me my massage. I didnt get the full 90 massage nor did I get the other 15 mins. When she was finished she told me to go to the showers. I asked if she was done because she forgot to massage my chest. The part I wanted done the most because it was sore from lifting. She told me yes she was finished. I was disappointed so I put my clothes on paid and mentioned it to the rep at the front desk. Even the rep said I should have gotten my chest done. I dont know what was different today, but every other massage Ive ever had if it says full body chest is included. I wont be going back. Im not feeling too good about it.

I love Karma Spa. All the therapists are great! I highly recommend the First Lady package, which includes, a massage, facial, scrub, and sauna time. Karma spa is open later which is great after a long day of work.

Hands down one of the best foot massages in town! Ive tried these asian massage parlors all over town and those guys with massage chairs at the mall. You get what you pay for, but at Karma, they really know how to work out the knots without beating you up. So worth the money and theres free parking!

Besides having affordable massage packages, I have been here many times and they always give exceptional massages. Alice knew what areas to concentrate on while giving me my massage. I will be back soon again!
