For years I’d been hearing that this was one of the best Massage Envy’s in San Diego, so about 9 months ago I got a membership during an awesome promotion and have been loving it ever since!They’ll have free mini massage/facial offerings several times a year which led me to getting a full facial for the first time just this week and it was great!I love massages too much to use my monthly credit for facials regularly, all the massage therapists I’ve seen have been fantastic. You fill out your preferences and they customize it to you; I like firm to deep pressure and have always been happy with my massage. Totally recommend.

This was my first visit to this location and I am blown away. The customer service is exceptional, I called to make an appointment and explained what I was looking for in a massage. I was perfectly matched with the right therapist. When I arrived the staff was so friendly and inviting, and took their time to explain the membership. Katie was at the front desk and was so patient and kind, she answered all my questions and helped get me signed up. Then I saw Killian for a massage. I have traveled all over the world and had 100s of massages. I am not kidding when I say that was the best massage of my life. He had the right amount of pressure, was gentle when he needed to be and worked through some really tough trigger points. He clearly knows his stuff and I will definitely be back. I cant recommend this location enough, thank you to all the staff!

Had a great experieince yesterday for my 60 min. massage. Omar was fabulous. The front counter staff- David was also super friendly and attentive! Definitely my favorite ME location. Thanks!!

There is a man that works here at the clairemont location named Cameron usually works in the day, whose hands are magical! I went in for a deep tissue and he was careful but firm the way I like it. I have a lot of knots due to my desk job and the stress of my position at my company and he hit the nail on the spots I asked he focus on. He also didnt talk my ear off, and let me melt into a puddle. I reccomend you make sure he focuses the end of your session on the neck. I seriously feel like a million bucks. He is very nice and not overwhelming. Gentle spirit. I hear he does other things besides massage too! But if you need a massaage though, ask for Cameron here hes worth a drive outside your normal spot!

The staff here is wonderful! My masseuse was skilled, professional, and accommodating to my desired level of pressure; she did a fantastic job. The facility is clean, well-maintained, and welcoming. The room I was in was comfortable & the music was soothing. I definitely enjoyed my experience!

This is my first visit since March and it was much needed. I had a 90-minute massage with Tim who was super friendly and skilled in deep tissue. I left feeling much better and I plan to visit again in a couple weeks. The front desk was average, not too friendly or welcoming. Sanitation seems to be a priority with masks and cleaning in the rooms. The massage room was a bit hot but understandable in a heat wave. Overall, a good experience getting back to semi-normal life. (Tim is the reason for the 5-stars!)

I would literaly give them 0. I I arried (appointment was at 3) wait around 15 outside. I got in at 3:15 ish. Massage was ok the room was painted in a Marron color and had a funny smell. I was asked to get dress at 3:50 ish I was in my car at 3:58 they literally charged me the 60min massage of course they didnt let me go without aking for a tip. I got like a 40min massage and paid for a 60min massage the other part I called to complain because thats not right! And they ignore me saying I will give you a call back they did it several times until I understood they wont do anghting about it.Experience well I lost a lot of money paid 100 bucks for a 40min massage.I wanted to tell my expierice here because I dont go so often to take some time off for myself and when I do I dont want it to be a bad experience. Time off for ourselves needs to be a good experience 😌

Let me start by saying this is probably the best massage envy I’ve been to. My wife and I were on our honeymoon and we are members of massage envy so we wanted to get massages. It was last minute and Todd (I believe) was able to fit us in for a couples massage. We felt welcomed the minute we walked in until the time we left. Brittany was my masseuse and man was she legit!Thank you for everything and everyone at this location!

Just finished getting a massage from Chris this evening. Honestly I was thinking he would have been burnt out because I was the last one of the day. Boy was I wrong. Chris stayed consistent the whole time with being firm. Ladies and gentleman I have found my go to. He is the bomb. I’m off to bed now for a GREAT nights sleep.

Karen at Massage Envy Clairemont town square is a FANTASTIC esthetician. She knows her products and takes the time to evaluate each persons skin type (and determine best facial type to offer). She stays current with product information and new procedures, and she was trained in a high end hotel setting so she provides the best face and neck/upper back massage during each session. Ive been seeing her for 3.5 years and I will always be loyal to her...as long as the massage envy owners keep prices reasonable!Ive also had several massages at this particular massage envy over the years, and have found many of the therapists to be top notch. Im just not a fan of a 50 min massage--it needs to be longer for the price you pay. Overall, its a clean establishment with professional people! Ask for Karen for facials!

I went for a massage as my neck and shoulder were very sore. My massage therapist was Olivia and she escorted me to the massage room and asked about my problem areas. I really liked how she got into my shoulder right away, found the really bad spots without me even directing her, and worked them intuitivily until she felt they were better. Im a massage instructor and I really appreciate going to a Massage Envy and finding a therapist who can actually do real therapeutic deep tissue massage, rather than just pressing harder on a Swedish relaxation routine. This is rare.

Less than one star for management; who emailed me papers to freeze my account and then charged me anyway. I had one day to return the form, so I faxed it and called to ask that they call me back if they did not receive my fax. I gave my name and phone number. I said I was mailing the form that day so they would have the original. No one called me back. I did not know they had charged my account until I got my credit card statement. The manager, Summer, said she would freeze it for the following three months instead of the months I put on the form. I did not know I could not use the one I had already paid for before the account was frozen. Then when I wanted to use what I paid for, they said I could not allow me to have a massage for what I had paid, but would charge me $100 instead (extra $40). Although I loved the masseuse, Celeste, the rip off by management ruined this experience for me. I see from reviews they have a practice of similar rip offs and erroneous charges.

This place has some really great and knowledgeable massage therapists! While both Scott, with his novel stretch method and deep tissue massage and Alaysia with softer massage were good, I recommend waiting for Raquels schedule to open up! Shes very knowledgeable and feels the body well and applies the perfect amount of pressure for a great massage.Also kudos to the customer facing team at the location - the staff is always friendly, patient and willing to help out!

Booked online through the massage envy app and then when I arrived I was informed that the therapist wasn’t actually coming into work until 7pm so I was out of luck... front desk staff said something about the online booking doesn’t reference the actual locations schedule which makes no sense... anyways book at your own risk.Update 1/24/2020 - contacted Massage Envy through the link provided and never heard back from anyone... this location is not well organized.

Wish I could give a 0 star but it wont let me, so 1 star for management. I have been in the process of ending my membership. Did exactly what they said- submit cancellation form 10 days prior to renewal date. I did. Called to confirm its cancellation, they could not find it. I had to tell them where is was... So concerned I drove over. They missed placed the paperwork. So I filled out another one (Still 10 days out from renewal date). They told me to call in a couple days to check. I did... once again the service people said it has not been processed. Only a manager can do that, they said We will have the manager call you when she is in. I waited and nothing. Called in a few hours later and they tried to tell me the manager was busy. I waited 10 min on the phone. After giving me the run around. She confirmed that the paperwork has been submitted, my membership cancelled. So I asked - I will NOT be charged on July 3rd renewal. She said correct. Welp its July 3rd and guess who has been charged. NOT HAPPY! I will be driving there today AGAIN! NEVER AGAIN! FURIOUS

Tamara is my facial specialist and she is amazing! I get both massages and facials at Massage Envy, but I can honestly say that I wont go anywhere else for a facial, because Tamara is both professional and very knowledgeable about the Murad products she uses. She is great.

Scott was the best massage therapist I’ve seen in a very long time. Came in yesterday for a custom massage in a lot of pain for a same day appointment. The pain is almost completely gone.

Horrible management. You purchase a membership to use at any location then they tell you it will be more at a location because their, same service, massage is more. Ridiculous! Be warned. Absolutely illegal. Bait and switch.

Not once, but twice continue to get billed on my cc for services Ive already paid for. Owner agreed, confirmed by email to credit my account. As soon as I use my credits, I get billed again on my cc. So now Ive paid twice for a session. $100 for a 50 minute session! Total $450 theyve taken from me! And Im not getting a response from the owner. Really?

Staff very attentive and pleasant! the front desk staff excellent customer service. The massage was great and my masseuse was great excellent customer service.

Some suggestions :1. If the attempt is to make a new guest feel at ease in the tranquility rm, then the employee should approach with confidence in that effort; otherwise, the whole encounter seems awkward.2. During massage: Cold hands and cold lotion/oil = shock to the warm body. Warm lotion/oil warms the hands = soothing, more relaxing experience.3. Dont spend so much time messing with the blankets, a paying customer would rather have that effort as hands on with troubled areas that may not have gotten enough attention.4. Offer a warm towel to wipe off excess oil at the end (like competitors do) so shoes and clothing dont absorb it instead.5. The option of fruit infused water may make a huge difference as a final spa like gesture just before payment and tipping instead of a cup of plain water.

I was here a about 8 months ago and had the best massage of my life. I am a mma fighter and always have issues going in.The kicker is the therapist i worked with is no longer here but in PB. ask for jackee, she is the best. You will also have to book about a week out with her, i am in twice a week and feel new again. Thanks Jackee

Dennis did a fantastic job! Lower and upper back plus neck bad from driving all over SoCal. Walking hunched over. Dennis relieved stress points and stretching out knotted muscles. Just the right pressure depth for deep tissue / sports massage. Professional. Skilled. Knowledgeable. Thank you.

I booked a massage for my mom here, she had a great time. Staff is caring and courteous. My mom will be visiting again soon. Definitely recommend this place!!

Stay away from this business dishonest and poorly manage continued to billy my CC months after canceling membership and they are still trying to bill me. I have email proof of cancellation and they will still refuse to stop.

Massage Envy really is a good place to find Body Therapy and muscle tension relief.

I have had several issues with this location not scheduling my appointments correctly. Triple check the date, time and therapist when booking.
