Jamie is FANTASTIC! She not only helped provide me with many different options for my event, but she also helped me vision the future result! So quick to respond, I feel zero worries with my upcoming event with her help. The venue spaces are perfect for anything and everything! If I could leave more than 5 stars, I would. I more than recommend booking with Encore Event Center. You will feel lucky and happy if you get the help of Jamie. Incredibly grateful for an easy and fun experience.

Encore made my event very special, Tanya, Betty and overall every staff member were very nice. I will be definitely coming back again and considering future events. Their taco station was delicious, bar and drinks on top notch. I really recommend! DM

This place is the best kept secret for summer camps. My son has attended 2 years in a row and has had an amazing time. The teachers are enthusiastic and love what they do and it shows through the children. Now because so much of the Arts have been removed from our schools children hardly get to have fun and learn something at the same time. Encore provides that for kids during the summer and I am so happy that I found them.

Ms. Tanya and her staff treated us respectfully and professionally. Tanya and her staff made sure our needs were met. The food was yummy and the drinks were delicious. The DJ kept us dancing the whole time we were there. Very impressed, I would highly recommend them.

I just hosted a family reunion at this venue last night. Biggest problems I experience were: 1) our event manager was MIA majority of the time. When we needed something it was extremely hard to track her down. I waited over 30 mins for a microphone and Bluetooth instructions for music which delayed the entire event. 2) Food was not only delayed but they forgot to make 3 items that were supposed to go with the main dinner. They tried to fix this by making the 3 items later but by the time they served it people weren’t interested. It was wasted food, therefore a waste of money. 3) I was told we would be able to adjust lights for when it’s time to dance, last minute was told they couldn’t adjust the lights at all. 4) I confirmed 55 chairs when I visited 2 days before the event. I show up and there’s only 48 seats. One of the seats were broken.I wish the people that worked here were more professional and efficient. I am big on things being done in a timely manner. I understand things get delayed but it should have been delayed because of me or my family not because of the owner and event manager. It was stressful hosting an event where I am constantly running around looking for the event manager because something is missing or not working… I just wish the experience was better!

My wedding experience was delightful, my husband had used Encore before for a music video. I had never been or heard of it. The storm the day before the wedding made me very nervous, the staff stayed late during the storm allowing us to set up. The day of the wedding the storm was a distant memory and the venue was perfect. I can’t imagine a better place to have had my wedding. The staff was very insightful, flexible, and determined. We really appreciate all of the hard work, Thank You all!

Went to hear a choral concert. The Acoustics were not good. We were in a room that looked like a basement.

The Plein de Vie event hosted by Rose Soiree was fun and the people turned up with the food, dancing and all the bottle service. Encore is a great location to put on an a big event.

The service here was not good at all! If you do book here, I highly recommend going with outside vendors and paying the fee. DO NOT use their services. The staff here is all over the place and no one ever seems to know what is going on. We booked several appointments with them to go over extra details before our event and each time we would show up no one seemed to know about our SCHEDULED appointments. They were very hard to get a hold of when we needed help the day of the event. The only time someone came around was when our time with the venue was up and they came to scream at us to get out. Our appetizers came out an hour late and were cold and on top of that were all put out at a table when we had told the staff we wanted people to be serving them after they asked what we preferred. Our desserts were never served. People setting up the tables and chairs had very bad attitudes. One of the tablecloths that they were using was stained and when asked if they could provide a new one they responded to just turn it inside out. I do not recommend booking here. Just go with a different place to avoid dealing with how dysfunctional everything is here. Pay more and have better quality with people who are actual professionals.

We needed an event space for a memorial event at pretty short notice. Staff we very helpful and accommodating. Went off without a hitch and particularly appreciated Tanyas efforts to make us feel welcome and looked after.

I recently attended a wedding at this location, I went to drop off the wedding cake early around noon, not a single person to help direct me to the right location. Later in the evening I was confronted by the owner of the establishment for parking in the parking for the event, There was a wedding happening is what the owner yelled at me, as I held the invitation in hand. The hall was in horrid conditions the floor was dirty, there was black gum spots (like the ones you see on public sidewalk) on the floor, utensils and plates were dirty most definitely not water stains. The food was served almost two hours late from the time scheduled. The owner and the securities were walking around the hall pointing at people, owner also proceeded to walk around with pistol holder untucked mean mugging the guest. Without a doubt an unprofessional setting, environment, management and staff. I would not recommend this event center to anyone .

Me and my fiance took a tour of Encore for our wedding. The staff was really nice and friendly they made us feel welcomed. We couldnt be more Happy to say YES to this venue!! The rooms are So Beautiful, clean and spacious! I Love that this venue is close to the freeway and has plenty of parking for our guests. We cannot wait to celebrate our Special Day at Encore!

This place was super unprofessional. The staff and owner were rude. The food was served late. We were supposed to eat at 6:30pm and we didn’t get served till 8pm. The staff parked in the parking lot that was reserved for the wedding guests and the owner was upset we parked in the parking lot reserved for us. He yelled at us and told us the parking lot was closed due to a wedding and we told him we were gusts and he said it didn’t matter. The venue was dirty, there were utensils on the floor and there was dust everywhere. All the staff were unpleasant people. I wouldn’t recommend having any type of party here.

Unprofessional, tried to add different things to our bill when it was already agreed with the manager and then some guy claiming to be the owner trying to power trip over, didnt have the centerpieces for all the tables we agreed on. Also we were told we could use projector and last minute they said it supposedly didnt work and I had to go home and pick up my projector, only has 1 bathroom, for 4 different event halls and parking is terrible l.... do not book your event here

We love this event center, the food is delicious and the service is friendly. Marie and Rufio where very helpful with all of our needs.We especially loved how clean it is and how much parking is available. I highly recommend doing any event here.

We held our Christmas Eve party at this beautiful venue that was overseen the entire time by one of the managers, Mannix. He was extremely attentive, checked in with us throughout our event, and was so nice and very professional! The venue was perfect, spacious, and clean! Will definitely be throwing more events here!!!

Had my birthday party here and it was great! service was outstanding. Shout out to Eddie was an phenomenal security and he was able to aid me in what ever I need. I had a blast.The property have great selection with nice prices that fit what ever you need.I had my birthday at the myth room. the room was well ventilated with awesome sound systems, great background, and surroundings light. Would recommend if youre trying to do a party and or have a meeting!Thanks again for all the staff who made my 21st the best!

Id probably driven past this place maybe eight times a week for the last 5 years and never even saw it was there.I met with Betty who arranges events for the center. She showed me around to the different rooms and shared the occupancy availability for the different rooms ranging from 25 people to 300 people, depending on the type of event.I had thought the Encore Event Center was just for party events, for weddings and birthdays and that kind of stuff.Having spoken with some people there, they use this place for community get-together events , for community meetings. What an eye opener.If youre looking for a place for a meeting or event, certainly worthwhile to learn how you may be best accommodated here.

This is for a holiday party that was held in November 2018, I waited to leave a review so that there could be a history at this place as shown by several reviews. Our party had the roof leak ALL over the floor and tables of our even, we had to clean it up ourselves and it was a safety hazard. It was a mess and disgusting. They were not even set up when our event started, we had to do it ourselves, it was dirty and chaos. Then they served several guests RAW chicken and half our guests didnt even get food. The parking lot was a mess as well, like a construction zone just a nightmare of concrete blocks and tools all over. The room to be used for kids was not safe either and they half way set that up. The bar area, train wreck. Under staffed and just poor service. The coordinator Claire will lure you before your event with promises of great services and cause you the biggest humiliation of your life at your event. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone, GO ANYWHERE. A Walmart parking lot would be better.

This is a review for the Encore Camp July 2021. Mainly we are disappointed. We had high hopes as the program is very well marketed. It has potential to be much better and fill a huge need for engaging summer activities for children who have been in zoom school for the past 17 months. Unfortunately it is a miss. My camper was in arts and crafts and the activities were pretty much coloring, coffee filter, crepe paper, paper plate and glue and some salt dough. Came home with 1 simple project. Last day was spent watching a movie. This is not a bad place and we had no bad experiences but it is oversold. Pretty much we paid for day care. They could really use some college students to bring this up to camp level. We appreciate the effort to use a space that likely experienced massive losses this past year and the vision to create activities for children that lost so much but unfortunately it falls short.

DO NOT HAVE YOUR WEDDING HERE!! I am a bride and will tell you the truth! If they delete this I will post it again. CLAIRE was so unprofessional. She is suppose to be the day of coordinator and didnt help us once. Leo tried his best but was still so unprofessional but do not trust Claire!! I cant believe we spent so much money for this place and they served us MOLD on our bread. Served me and our guests cold food because they forgot to turn on the warmers. The plates were dirty, my florist had to hand wipe all the plates, which was not her job. Our rental company had to move the tables when the event centers staff was in charge of that. My wedding planner had to take charge because they made the excuse by saying theyre hosting 3 events. Soooo why take up 3 events when you cant even handle one?! They had their own kids working in the kitchen with no mask or gloves on. The whole experience working with them was TERRIBLE. I am reporting this place to the health department because it was just disgusting and unsanitary. They yelled at me and the groom for being unhappy with their service !! I am so upset and regret spending so much money there. They take days and weeks to respond to your emails or dont respond at all And do not care about you. There was another event there and the bride of that event was so upset because they didnt set up correctly. Her cake was messed up, It was supposed to be plated and they put her food as a Buffett style. The list goes on and on. They just want your money!! Please do not waste your time or your money there. One of the best experiences I have ever had! The memories will stay with is for the rest of my life. Such a great team that constantly stays at encore to make everything happen for you.

I was recently at a birthday party and their service was horrible. I would rate this 0 out of 5 stars if I could. I was attending this party as a guest and worker, I was helping put up a fruit/candy bar. When I entered the event the security got mad at me because I needed to bring some of my supplies. He told me why did you guys have to bring so many supplies? In a passive aggressive manner. Well to be honest its a party and many people were comming to attend this party so it was necessary. Also the management was very rude towards the lady who rented this place. He started yelling and getting mad at her just because she needed an exention cord. His behavior was unacceptable and unnecessary 🙄. If anyone thinks of having their special event here dont , the place is nice but management and thier sevice dosent make it worth it.

I was a wedding guest and florist for a wedding.The young people that worked that were very nice and helpful. But somewhere between the set up and the actual wedding it all fell apart. I kept asking for the sweetheart and the cake table to be set for decorations no one seemed to know what was going on.I used one of my own table clothes and the cake table was set up in the middle of the reception 😳I have been a florist for over thirty-five years and have never seen this before!As a guest the meal was very poor of quality.Black bean straight out of the can chicken with tons of red bell pepper and the only way I can explain it is a white person version of enchiladas and wilted salad.Once again the waiter and servers were excellent sweet and helpful.It pains me to be so critical but I feel management need to be made aware of this.

Do NOT HAVE YOUR WEDDING HERE! I’m the bride, and Just when I thought our wedding will be perfect it was a disaster! I can not believe how unprofessional everything was. My ceremony was at 11AM and for that we were told we can arrive 2 hrs prior to to set up our own decor. Me and my family arrived at 9AM and when we got there we had a Bible study set up in our room all over our tables that were set for us, bibles all over the entrance table we were told we could use. We had children running in and out even when we kicked everyone out the room. When we booked September 2021 we were told they only host one event a day which clearly wasn’t the case for us. So as you can imagine how furious I was! I went everywhere searching for Claire, she was no where to be found then about 10 mins later I found LEO he looked clueless like he had no idea what I was saying funny thing is he was the one who booked our event. It took the Bible study about 30 minutes to remove there thing this put us back so much time. It was a mess! I was so stressed out and for Claire to be no where in site when she told me the day before everything was ready to go was very upsetting. During my reception we had a air conditioning leak causing my sister head to be wet and their table, which is very concerning for me since I see some comments with an air leak from 2018. They had a wet floor sign in the middle of the floor. They turned off the air making it very hot in there for us, they served us a fruit plater they had to have gotten from Walmart for 30$ and they charged us 400$. Every incident that came up Leo and Claire were no where to be found. The Parking lot was a mess, construction zone with no parking for our guest. The chapel was suppose to be used for the groomsmen and the Bible study was using it. We took pictures of everything so do the same if you encounter anything. I would just not recommend this place for nothing. I did email Claire and Leo the next day explaining my frustration and asked for 2000$ back with no response we are in the process of suing them so to save you time just avoid this place. Pay the extra money to have to wedding of your dream because it will not be here.

I wouldn’t even rate this place with any stars! This is a terrible place to hold or attend any event. They take on too many events at one time and cannot cater to each party properly. I attended a wedding and during the reception I had noticed the plates and utensils were dirty. We addressed it but the staff did not do anything about it and we’re very rude. The food that was served to all the guest was cold and we even found mold on the bread.The bride and groom spent so much money to hold their special day at this venue & when they had addressed the obvious flaws, they were not acknowledged. This place needs to be shut down and the couple deserves to get their money back for the poor service and unprofessionalism from management and staff

We were invited to a party and apparently the organizer of the events her es betty was very rude, she denied us the food when there was still unlimited tacos, she and her team of employees were very inopportune, the food they denied us they ate There was an open bar, all paid and Mrs. Betty is standing next to the bar charging after 11. It is a very bad experience. I do not recommend this place, very expensive and very bad service.

My Event was AWESOME!! LOVED LOVED LOVED IT!! The staff was so so generous and helpful with everything! Their service and food was on POINT!! And the Hall I rented was SO AFFORDABLE and PERFECT! Thank you ENCORE for making my dreams come TRUE!

I was a guest at a wedding on May 22, 2021 at Encore Event Center. This place was horrible, I felt so bad for the bride and groom. Plates were dirty, food and cake late and bread had mold on it. A bride pays to have the wedding of her dreams and this place was a nightmare. The management/owners made the situation worse by making excuses and having the audacity to be angry with the bride and groom. When the Bride & Groom complained, the management/owners yelled at them and put their hands in their face. So unprofessional, management/owners did all this not wearing masks. Make it right Encore, the Bride and Groom should get a full refund!

This school is absolutely amazing! They have amazing teachers and staff for their summer camp program

I was a guest for a wedding & I kept smelling propane gas the entire time. Hours later after I brought it up to my husband he saw two small propane gas tanks and yes they were both open.I am pregnant, there were kids playing and dancing. This was an accident waiting to happen.

This is an exremely unreliable venue, not to mention, pretty boring, its just a large rectangular room, but anyways, there was an art festival/ musical performances being held there tonight, And they abruptly shut it down mid set, with 4 people/groups still left to perform, DIDNT REFUND ANYONE, and one of the owners was being extremely rude and not giving us any information, just saying you have to ask someone else not me, and wouldnt tell us where to find the lady. Everyone here performing were young adults, who came out to here brought family, and friends, really such a letdown. Dont waste your time with this place. Really messed up.

If you care about your children, STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. We enrolled our 5yo son in the summer camp program offered by the Encore Event Center. During the first week of the program, myself and my wife witnessed attitudes and behaviors from some of the members of the staff which are not in accordance with what we, as parents, expect regarding the care of our son and children in general, including emotional support which is expected in any organization working with kids (either regular schools or summer camps). For example, one of the members of their staff treated kids using very rude manners and inadmissible language, something that we witnessed in two opportunities during the first week. We were perplexed and asked for explanation from the staff – they just did not seem to care.We also found deficiencies regarding the facility, including easy access to the adjacent parking lot and, consequently, to the street.One of the days I picked up my son, many kids from all ages where in one single room watching a movie without any staff supervision. Indeed, our son reported that they have spent significant amount of time per day watching movies; even two movies one day with the justification that they were used for the arts & crafts class. We are not against the idea of having some movie time during the week – but every day and up to two movies in one single day it is not something we have paid for.We sent a cancellation email to the Encore Creative Arts Camp and we got a vague response from the program manager (Leo Kats) not assuming any responsibility regarding our concerns.

Event center with indoor and outdoor venues. Some staff very helpful but one of the servers was rude. Many simultaneous events can make for loud competition of sound systems. Even when only partially full, there were significant lines at the bathrooms. Food was mediocre.

No stars!! Attended a wedding recently and I dont know if the venue just didnt bother to work during COVID or simply take money from innocent families. Understandably, as COVID restrictions lift and we are able to go to out and dine in, yet Encore center took money and did not fulfill their contract agreements. Its so sad to see that this place used to perform, but to serve cold food and moldy bread? Yup, moldy bread! And then to disregard the concerns? Not even an apology. Whether its 10 people or 100 people, this event center failed to provide their services.

RUN!Anywhere but this place will be amazing.Rude staff, & unorganized. As soon as you pay you are on your own. Place was a disaster there is a leak that hasn’t been fixed for years. Horrible ! There are way better venues out there who do care.

We were working with a cover band that we manage and ENCORE booked them for a massive event. The event was a huge success and all parties were extremely satisfied. Great event space, and a good option for all types of events.

A rare gem in the middle of Kearny Mesa area! Large outdoor area, inner courtyard for a bar, and large inside group space for events of any kind. Super nice owner who helps the community!!

This event center has different rooms designed for different events. It would be a great place for a big party, a wedding reception, a quinceanera, a dance party, etc.

I am Blanca Angulo, I would like to thank Ms. Beatriz for having advised me and being able to achieve our dream of holding my daughter Evymarie Angulos 16th birthday party since she was at all times clarifying all the doubts and problems that Mr. Peter Charles who was the first to give us the contract and all the information was mediocre since nothing was as we talked about and he gave us wrong information from the beginning, he gave us the contract after a week by email, and there is the information that we provided. he gave us was totally different from what was agreed upon at the time. Im not happy with the DJ they gave us since he didnt have any lighting tower. I asked the guy. We had a birthday party for 60 people, it was a very bad experience, they charged us 4000 dollars the dresser was not enough Mrs. Betty is very rude I treat my guests badly very despotic and her help along with her never stops being around the party making us feel very bad, they told us that there was an open bar and after 11 pm they began to charge for drinks, when the piñata was broken they stood around the patio intimidating the children, they charged 500 for the dj and we put on the dj, after the party we demanded that amount from the dj and she made a problem because supposedly there were 70 people who entered which is impossible because everything is very protected. 100% NOT recommended.We had a birthday party for 60 people, it was a very bad experience, they charged us 4000 dollars, the dresser was not enough.
