PB Avenue

If I could rate this place 0/0 I would. I had the worst experience being out and about with my family on my brothers graduation day. We walked in to this bar spent 100$ to get in hoping to have a good night and the dumb little white bartender/ security guard that wanted to act like a cop accused my brother of taking drinks and walking out. She caused a whole scene because she thought he took random drinks off the table and then she ran back inside without taking any accountability of being wrong. When we had just gotten in and went to order drinks my brown brothers tried to order a vodka Red Bull and she said that they don’t make that?? 5 minutes later I go in without knowing any of this has happened and order a vodka Red Bull ( I am white Mexican ) her ignorant self probably didn’t realize we were all together and served me a vodka Red Bull with no hesitation ??? I asked the bouncer for her name and they refused to give it to me because they said she’s been a problem. I hope her manager sees this and makes it an issue because she was acting way out of line. I was here on 05/10/24. @1:00AM she was wearing a hat and a bun hair style. She had tattoos all over her arms and couldn’t be more than 30 years old.

Bartender wouldn’t take my order because I was screaming in his ear according to him. Why would one work in a loud bar like that then? Even apologized, and told him I usually talk a little louder because of my accent. Didn’t matter to him though, still no drink for me. Nice way to scare off customers.

This place should be shut down. Nothing but bad things to say. There are plenty of other options on the same block where you wont have the issues you will find here. Read the other one star reviews on this place and make a better choice.

People obviously have never been to a bar before, if they think they can take a drink OUTSIDE.People are rude to you if you are rude to them. Kill em with kindness, as Selena Gomez says, right? Lol.I think this place closed down, so bummer.

There was a security guard quite young with blonde hair and blue eyes standing outside as we left. My friend exited with a drink she was going to finish and this young man forcefully ripped the drink from her in a very inappropriate way without any mention of why he was touching her. Not only should he have never touched her in the way he did but also you need to ask politely either finish it inside or toss it out before leaving the property. Horrible experience. Please educate your staff on how to politely address customers instead of handling them in and aggressive way.

The tattooed brunette bartender is probably one of the most miserable women I’ve met bartending. Everyone picks up on your negativity vibes and bad energy. The bouncers convinced us to come in… Vibes could’ve been good if the service wasn’t 0/10. Got a decent drink for $6.50. It was nice I didn’t have to tip either!! Your bartender is quite literally making people leave and not wanna spend money here.

Horrible experience here. Made 20+ people wait outside in the pouring rain and pay a $10/person fee only to enter the bar and it be empty. A simple beer cost more than $20. For an empty bar with incredibly rude and inconsiderate employees they deserve less than a star rating. A total scam.

Im a Philadelphia Eagles fan from out of town. The crew at PB Avenue was very welcoming and I had a great time with everyone. Definitely come here to watch Eagles games in San Diego.

Loooooooove this old venue, but clean. Plenty of room to dance for locals, n all. Im 55 n Ive been to so many places but this one has the best DJs in PB. Its perfect place for letting my hair down.

DO NOT GO HERE. The bartender Tony STOLE $100 from my boyfriend then denied it!! He was rude and disrespectful. Absolutely horrible experience.

Worst bar experience ever. I highly recommend staying away from this bar. The security apparently likes to pick fights and beat people up for no reason just because they can. I left there with a black eye, broken nose, chipped front tooth, the tooth next to that sideways, and a busted lip. The security is on a power trip and think they can get away with anything. One security guard choked me out until I was literally out while other ones are still hitting me while Im being choked.

I really like the house music and bouncy vibe at Avenue. $10 cover even when theres no line and its pretty empty inside. I also did experience very poor service while at the bar. I went on a Saturday night and spent about 20 minutes directly in front of a bartender with my card out. He continued to ignore me, dance behind the counter, and offer service to people he knows. I had to finally just leave and find another bartender.

Always empty. Rude staff. Never go here

The venue was small but does have free seating. Free admission, average priced drinks. But the dj on the su day was sooooo good. Talking about house music all night long!

The place is really fun and there was good service but I was only there for about 15 minutes early in the night and bought one tequila shot for $6 left a $3 tip and thats it. The next morning my card wasnt on my person so I checked my bank account and noticed a $48 transaction was made from the Avenue hours after Id been there. So there is no doubt I left it at the Avenue, and if I left it on the counter or dropped it on the ground, it wouldnt have taken over 2 hours for someone to come up on it. And it hasnt been used since so I doubt its anywhere other than the bar. Ive been trying to call but they dont answer their phone, they just let it ring until the line dies, its been 2 days and I live in San Marcos as a full time student, Id just like to know if my card is with them or not.

Gregor at the door threatened to physically assault my friend and kill him. Never will be going back in my life time and please never go there for your best interest.

One security guard thought my drivers license was fake and tried to keep it. I had to talk to another security guard and get help from other people to prove that my drivers license was real. I appreciate the apology from the security guard who helped me but it wouldve been nice to get an apology from the other guy who thought my ID was fake considering that he said that Im going to keep this ID on what he incorrectly thought was a fake ID.The atmosphere was great but its a shame it got ruined by a terrible situation that should have been fact checked. I have to give a 2 star and I probably will never come back after that incident, since I had to go through effort to prove that Im 21.

If you have a new never opened up before 5 o’clock or ever kept decent hours or ever would answer their phone; I could rate as a watering hole for Philadelphia Eagle fans. I actually went there this afternoon at 5 o’clock and was told they don’t know when they’re going open the place cause there was nobody around and it was Christmas Eve. I would rate this place an absolute disaster as an eagle bar even though I’ve never even seen it but I’ve never been given the opportunity to see it and they won’t even answer their damn phone

THE place for entertainment in PB, hands down. If you like house music, techno, and you dont want to go downtown, look no further on weeknights. Cool bartenders, polite and nice people, the best music, good happy hours, and best local DJs in San Diego, good to see this music scene in PB and a nice tribe of regulars.

This place has the best Vibe. The DJ was spinnin’ the best dance music and the drinks were bomb. We left and hopped to several bars throughout the night but kept coming back here cuz it was our fave. The Bartender Chick with long blonde hair and wearing a hat was soooo nice! (Wish I knew her name) She made amazing drinks and was just a genuine rockstar goddess of a a chick.

Lively fun crowd. DJ was fairly good (but im crazy picky, been djing along time, things i noticed most wouldnt). When i was here mostly edm with a lil hip hop sprinkled in and pop. But good mix. Visually appealing.

This is one of my favorite places to dance! I love the music they play and theres this DJ Villalobos that is really really good!!! Check it out on a Thursday or a Sunday night!

Really fun dive bar during the day with some of the best happy hour specials in town..then at night it becomes one of p.bs hotspots. The mini club has some of the best laser lights and sound systems in all of P.B. known by locals as a great spot to be..where its.all happening!!.i wouldnt miss out on an opportunity to atleast check this place out. Also Kareoke every Monday night..

Always a good time. Owners, bartenders, guest bartenders and security are all cool and friendly. You can tell they enjoy their jobs. They have my money.

Security thinks they can fight anyone with no reason. And they get away with it. The security there tried to kick a friend out for standin there looking around and they thought he was mad doggin them. Rediculous

They dont answer their phone or email, so it is impossible to contact them. Their website says they open at 5, but i went by at 6:15 and they were closed.
