The dingiest worst bar environment I’ve ever been to. The crowd & atmosphere is just G H E T T O. The bouncers are rude and horrible also. Attended the Cozy day party- i tried to use the restroom around 7pm and bouncer A said the inside area is closed. Even though the restrooms were RIGHT behind him, he told me to enter from the other side. It was so difficult walking through the crowd. When the four women who were blocking the walkway were finally done dancing and there was room for me to squeeze through, bouncer B said the restrooms were CLOSED. I don’t even think this is legal if they are still serving drinks and alcohol to deny customers of bathrooms. The place was still packed with customers too. It was the worst experience of my life and I will definitely report them for the bathroom issue. Do not ever recommend stepping foot into this place. It is worst than hell.
Troubling, given the reviews. Will skip. A few 5 stars, yet nothing more than a few exceptions with a statement. Not much, if any response from management. I bank on reviews depending on the kind of circuit, especially where cash rules. No alternative to challenge the experience.
This place blows. $20 cover, they stop serving alcohol presumably after 2am, and the music is atrocious. I would legit rather be at work, and I have an office 8-5, M-F.
Music honestly sucked and they were charging $40 each person, cash only. they turned people away even though it was dead because they weren’t accepting passport id’s since some people were front out of country. We went in, got two drinks, and chilled in an empty club. Weird.
I visited this venue tonight and had a truly disappointing experience. Upon entering, I observed the bouncer engaging in questionable practices, such as taking money from underage individuals and others without reason.Later, while simply trying to wish someone a happy birthday, I encountered a bouncer who seemed entirely disinterested in listening to any conversation. To my shock, he forcefully pushed me out and even resorted to physically assaulting me without any provocation. This level of aggression was unwarranted and completely unacceptable. To make matters worse, I noticed people engaging in drug-related activities and using the same bathroom for such purposes. The atmosphere was chaotic, to say the least. What made this experience even more troubling was the apparent racism I encountered from the bouncer. No one should ever have to face discrimination in any establishment.I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and addresses these issues promptly. My safety and the well-being of others should always be a top priority in any establishment because #us-embassy and #indianembassy will be added to twitter to review and this situation on twitter and there’s going to be strict action on it . If they can’t do anything there should be someone to handle situation for people who deserves to know the truth. They have cameras so I hope they look at it and address it soon.someone who has worked with security for years, they can’t just touch anyone. this is an arrest and lawsuit, 100% guaranteed, especially in CA. the only reason these little streamers have massive guards is so they can go cause trouble, instigate fights, then have someone else handle them. it’s so corny and it’s a recipe for disaster.
Fun place to wind down, but weird when empty though lol
They are homophobic. They would not let me and my friends in and were extremely disrespectful. They tried to retain my taser even when I exited the establishment. I do not recommend. Extremely rude and disrespectful. Should be shut down in SF.
This place is so dirty and expensive. Not worthy even to try it once.
Honestly, we had such a blast. The staff was welcoming and so accommodating. The food is wonderful. Highly recommend the pizza. This was my first San Francisco night out and I could not have been more thrilled with the outcome. This place is a hidden gem. Will definitely come back.
It is cold and the woman we paid money to is a liar. She first said 25 dollars and then tried to get 30 dollars. This is pure theft. They must be professional!
Good price drinks really big and roomy sound systems great we had fun. We had no issues. I will definitely go back.
Great club overall, gets nice and busy after 1:30-2AM! Diverse, vibrant, welcoming crowd. Definitely recommend coming out! Nice lighting, sound system, good sized dance floors, and huge outside patio for smoking... cool waterfall too.
I always have to come back on the weekends
Had a guest from NYC. Paid the cover for everyone at 1:59. They wouldnt serve drinks after 2, so we left immediately. Sober, we politely asked the manager to refund our cover, and they refused. Would have been great to at least had a warning at the door. $60 for 90 seconds. Absolutely, definitively, will not return, and will ensure anyone visiting will never end up at the EndUp.
Went on a Saturday night, the cover was fairly cheap ($10). The dance floor was a little small. Drinks are reasonably priced, there is an outdoor smoking area, and while they didnt have a menu for typical bar food, they did have pizza available on site- $5 cash only. One downside was not being allowed to go out and come back in without paying cover again.
It still is not quite as good as it used to be. They are getting better with not letting shady characters in, but just make sure you secure your belongings here.
I went with 3 of my friends and we really had fun! We loved the music they had (reggaeton and salsa, the perfect combination) we got our tickets online and we didnt have to pay the cover, the place and the staff were amazing too. Definitely, we are going there again soon!
I went here last night 6/24/23 I had a great time on Pride weekend It was a nice diverse crowd.
Great place to hear fantastic house music of all kinds. Deep, funky, disco, vocal and electro house all call this place home. Crowd is very up for it, friendly and the atmosphere is lively and second to none in terms of having a good time. Staff s wonderful. This place is for the real, die-hard all night clubbers and dancers that arent ready to go home just yet. Highly recommended.
Overcharged us on the cover fee and served us liquor that was not just watered down, but was straight water. They said they would bring out the manager but instead just provided us with actual shots. Obviously the manager knows what’s going on. Don’t waste your time or money
Awful. Bouncers create an artificial line so it looked full on a Friday night around 2am. Cover was hefty at $20. Music was poor on a non-event weekend. Not many people were at the venue and the ones who were there were smoking weed in the back. The dancefloor was pretty bare. The people at the entry also did not announce that alcohol was no longer server beyond 2am- something that non SF natives would never know! Anyway, never coming back.
I had fun for sure. Warning though its too easy to stay here until 8am because free cover before midnight, alcohol and access to drugs suppliers. Though some nights there are no suppliers and just people asking you for things. I would go more if I didnt need sleep.
I was so disappointed by how they treated us.We went in after going almost every weekend, thinking it again was going to be reggaeton night based on their online advertising, on both their event page, Facebook and eventbrite. It wasnt, and when we realized (less than 5mins in) we asked for a refund. The cashier and promoted got very aggressive with us, until we felt uncomfortable and then when we complained they kicked out of the place.Honestly, its ok if the night didnt end up being what they planned, but Im really not ok with how they responded. I will truly never go there again because they got so mad and aggressive with us and I dont think thats ok.
A friend of mine was treated extremely rudely by a bouncer who clearly did not “approve”’ of her body type and an evening was ruined. This club seems to have earned all of its negative feedback. They don’t seem to cater to anyone that isn’t thin and white. Don’t give them your time or coins.
Always a good time. Hip Hop/Pop before 2pm most Fridays, House and techno till 2am on! The outdoor space is just off the dance floor so youre always connected to the music. Great porch with seating. The best afterhours bar in SF.
I love the End Up at 2am, 4am, 6am and 2pm. How can you beat a raised dance floor that other dancers will you help you up onto even when its absolutely packed? A fireplace on cold nights. A waterfall on warm nights. And one of the most dependable lineups in SF.Thank you End Up for being a staple in the SF community. I think my first visit was in 89. I hope youll still be here when Im 89.
I’m not the only one lol. Do not go there. Over charges. Atmosphere not enjoyable. Also if you go you will be supporting a business that is clearly discriminatory in its practice. This is a public event. The club owner/manager and bouncers hand picks from various parts of the line based on how one looks. Bases entery price on looks. Not worth $20, $30, $50. They don’t honor the pre-tickets if you’re not female, and if you are, you have to have body or a cute face. And I haven’t seen too many females in my last few times attending. They also make it look like it’s packed by holding the line up. Don’t fall for it.
This is a fun place to go for those who loved after hours dancing and getting wasted. I dont really find this place much of the fun because the music is just okay, the drinks r bad taste, and the area are always dirty and stink. The restroom is very dirty, and small. Women, get really annoying when they r trying to use the restrom because men can share women restroom too. Also, this place is really highly well-known for party animals. You know what I mean by that.Hope this is helpful.
If you are a native San Franciscan, you have a love/hate relationship with this place. You have the mecca of great dance music, eccentric individuals, drunks and music lovers. I personally love the End Up, although the lines have been pretty ridiculous since it is the only after 2am spot where you can boogie if you arent ready to go home. They have done extensive upgrades to their couches, back room area, patio area and upper small patio area. I have always enjoyed having a cocktail in their garden and just listen to great music. Their sound system is also perfect for the size of the venue and I have never danced harder at any other venue in the city. This place is made to sweat. They have also added bottle service to their venue if that is something you are looking for at the Endup, but honestly, it is not worth it at earlier times.
I’ve been a regular for a while...Went for a party that was advertised on facebook (twice) and eventbrite. Paid $30, and immediately upon entering it was something entirely different (different themed party, music genre, crowd, and artist). Immediately went to the cashier to ask what was happening, only to see that this is clearly not the first time this has unfortunately happened where she needs to side-step someone elses irresponsibility. She swept us aside and said to talk to the bartender’s, that’s where we’re likely to meet a manager. We speak to what we are told is a leader (shift lead/manager) and ask him what is happening. He tells us that the invite is incorrect, that we this is the party promoter and we have to talk to them and should try to get our money back. After much asking everyone and getting nowhere, ask the bouncer if they know the party promoter, and was pointed to a man (Jeff, I believe?). long story short I ask him why the discrepancy between the event and the promotion and he gets incredibly defensive and rude. After trying to calmly talk to him he tells if we don’t stop asking questions and are not happy we’ll be kicked out. Upon realizing this we left. This was a very negative experience and I’probably won’t return.
Contrary to some frightening reviews, the line was short and moved quickly (~10pm). The bouncers were professional and courteous. The drinks were strong and overall a good value. The bar lines were short and moved quickly. Overall, a very good experience.
Worst night club in SF!Security is extremely rude and awful. Way over price for music that is not good or tasteful. Very unprofessional and its not what it used to be here. I suggest you take your money somewhere else.
Oct 2014 - I went to The EndUp on my last night in SF. It was a good decision and I happily arrived back at my hotel at 5am. People are generally friendly here so if you are tired from the dancing, you can start a conversation with almost anyone. The rooms are quite peculiar so Id say keep your minds open when you visit.
We followed the advice of the guide lonely planer regarding the tea dance of Sunday. we never saw that. not only did we not get in but the bouncer pushed us away from the door violently for no reason at the time I showed him my ID. other customers suffer the same fate.
Now the music is awsome if you like men with no shirts this is the club for you. now sat-sun they are open 24hours the cost is 20$ but they have a outside part with a walk up balcony and some of the best mix drinks i have had. p.s try not to pass out or they will ask you to leave very fun though
This place is a total RIP OFF! stops serving alcohol at 2am but will still take your money and NOT let you know. I can not stress this enough, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Even if you do get here before 2am, it stinks (like actually smells terrible) and the bartenders are SO RUDE.
I went last night and paid $30 for a Dura Reggaeton night, after being invited by a friend and seeing the event on social media. Unfortunately, the advertisement was false: the music was not reggaeton; it was Bollywood. The entire venue was empty, and the drinks were watered down with a lot of ice.I attempted to get clarification from the staff about the event, but they dismissed my questions. I wont be returning here.
We went to the end up for the evening of Sunday night, tea dancing. We were received as thugs by an aggressive bouncer who m pushed violently for no reason !!! I do not recommend this address. So we went to do the bars at the Beau and the BADLANDS where we had a great welcome!
Hard to know what nights they’re open and if they are, what time they are open until. It makes it risky to head there and have it be closed or closing. Used to be a great place though.
A really disappointing experience. The bouncers stopped the line at the African American group to let in over 25 Asian American individuals. It is not about race but the bouncers didnt bother to listen to use and showed no respect to the people of color in our group. One of or group members was not allowed in for calling out the hypocrisy and the rest of us just decided to follow suit. From a person living in the Tenderloin this is really disheartening. I thought a place like this would be all inclusive.
If you really like to be abused, please do not miss this place!!! Just as an example my beer has been stolen in a matter of 5 seconds by a bar tender right in front of a friends eyes and they responded really violently when I claimed for muy beer. In terms of music, do not expect anything too sophisticated... Even if the place pretends to be shown as cool in the internet I heard there the worst latín rubish I was trying ti escape from. As said, if you really like yo be abused, do not miss It!!!
Cover was $20, otherwise you’ll be waiting in an hour long line to get in free. Once inside the club is big and it doesn’t even fill up; maybe only 1/4, so I don’t understand the need for any type of line. They said a table is $300. I know this is SF, but so ridiculous. Not even worth it the “table” was wooden and literally only room for the bottle and your “table” doesn’t even have enough room to sit 5 people. Overall the club itself looks like any other cheap club in any other city, but because this is SF, somehow they get away with ridiculous cover. The music was alright, not worth it though. OH YEAH, they promoted the day party until 8pm, but closed by 7 and kicked everyone out.
We supposedly got on the guest list and were supposed to get in for free if we arrived before 3 or somthing like that. They charged our guy friends 70 and me and my girl 40. We were there on time!! we get inside and it wasnt even crackin. Made us wait in line for an hour but for what it was empty. If I could give it a 0 I would. DONT COME HERE. Literally go anywhere else.
If you’re here you have either lost or found your soul. Pick your poison. Appropriately priced afters with good dancing.
You have to be in the right state of mind for the end up... They dont call it the end up for nothin! If you are still awake at 4am and you arent ready for the party to stop you just might End Up here. Of course they is no liquor severed after 2am so if you dont wanna be sober Im sure you could find other treats at this place as most sidewalk pharmacist end up here too. Im not sure what time the end up closes but its long after Im passed out at home for sure. Last time we ended up here we didnt leave until sometime after 7am.They have an unexpected patio out back with plenty of seating I thought there was even someone selling hot dogs or something last time (but I may have just dreamed that lol)There is also at least one pool table... Its all a little hazy...But if you are looking for the after party it is always at the end up. So if you want to keep party rockin head to the End Up and pound Reb Bull all night.
I ♥ ENDUP This is the place to come and dance, meet others, chill and relax all at the same place! I love this place! The vibe and culture that the Djs and event host create for this place is amazing. Everyone everywhere is smiling and having a great time. Starting off the week with THURSDAY NIGHTS♥ and ending it through Sunday night is all you need to satisfy your night life hunger♥ I give this place 5 stars and 2 thumbs up♥ One love
Worst place I’ve been to. Only went to go to the bathroom and willing to pay $60. Didn’t allow me to.

This is honestly the shittiest biz you can go to in the bay. The idea is cool but Ive been here twice and Ive only actually gone in once to come right back out. Most importantly the staff is unprofessional & just rude for no reason. The hype is toooo real.
The Endup seems to discriminate against fat femmes. How can the cost of an event go from $0, to $20, and finally $50 in just minutes? Was it because of a patron’s body?Venues in The Tenderloin used to be really cool and inclusive, I guess that’s a thing of the past.
It was alright. Didnt have the time of my life or anything but, I had fun dancing till 6am. There wasnt enough people inside to be worth 20-30$.
Great House Music, great djs, a definite San Francisco institution. This is the type of place where you can meet a lawyer to your left and a homeless artist on your right. Most of the people that go here are into music, House Music specifically as its one of the BEST venues to hear the newest house music in the world. There are some drugs (as much as other bars) and less than nice bouncers, the service isnt all that great although the drinks are STRONG, the music is the best and the people are interesting. If youre a homophobe, older, not into crowds then someplace down the street is a better hang out for you...further down the street....down in the pennisula somewhere.
Five years ago this was the spot for reggae, and went recently rude bouncers, bartenders, and just restrained from popping off. Can not recommend this place now , speed heads, pill popping thugs, just not a good mix and the music is terrible
You dont have to stop because its late. The dance music here is great for dancing the night all the way into the morning. Always a great place to dance.
Didnt feel that place was discriminatory at all - saw people of all shapes and sizes. A nice place for an afterparty. Relatively small club. Cool music and vibe. Will be back.
This was my first time going here on 9/16/22 it was $25.00 to get in that was expensive but someone paid it for me but overall I met a nice person from Canada there ....
From reading all the reviews this place should answer on why the security is so aggressive, before you go in ask what type of music the will play and you can’t get drinks after 2 they will not tell you that is like a scam
Disturbs surrounding neighborhoods with super loud music well past midnight and into 10am the next morning. Doesnt think about the impact of code-breaking loud bass on neighbors.
Prefacing this with..... I am not a fan of dive bars........ This place is nice if you want to come late.... late night as its one of the only places open after 2am in SF.
Came at 630pm from out of state heard was nice spot for day party security was rude and also said wasnt letting anyone in and doesnt end till 830pm but let a group of ladys in which were my family members smh never again
My ALL TIME FAVE CLUB IN THE CITY! I havent been there RECENTLY but Im planning on it VERY SOON...best gay after hours ANYWHERE!
I like this place its always fun, the only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because the web site said that it was open Sunday but when we got there it was closed
Notorious for holding the line even though its empty inside. Some people with free early entry tickets end up paying 20 bucks after waiting for more than an hour.
I remember the days of DJ Ruben Mancias and David Harness and Harry Choo Choo Romero. Just to name a few. The list goes on. That was 2000-2001 btw. Wonder if the music is the same
Love this place, i had no idea it has been in business since 1973...thats freakin AWESOME!! Great experience, i will go back next visit to San Francisco❤
Oh, End Up. Memories of waking up here at 9am in the morning... 😂Place is not really the cleanest or nicest bar/club, but a gathering point for after hours.
Music was great. But felt like I was the only straight guy there for the whole night. Which was perfect for the FEW girls there.
Best freaking club around! Amazing music and you will definately find a good crowd to chill with have a drink unwind and dance!
THEY NEVER CLOSEEEEEE... if u want an after party... go to the endup everyone goes there... sometime they even have food inside... affordable drinks and nice music
Late night club, soundsystem small but sometimes only option available. Bouncers suck, be careful whom u share ur drinks with.
The place had a Facebook event for a dance party from 6am-10am but when I showed up at 7am all the doors were locked and when I asked a bouncer, I was told they weren’t letting anyone in. A little disappointing.
Its the place you end up when everything else is closed... Other than that if you can get in for free great, if not save your money
My wife and I ended up here after her 30th birthday and everyone was amazing. Thanks for the good time :)
Not bad, but not good. The club was not too crowded for a Friday night, and after 4am there was only guys dancing...
It’s cool as long as the crowd has a good ratio. I guess I prefer the day parties
Hi what time your start 11:59 to 8:30am. How much $..? Tonight. Sunday 07/03/2022
Amazing music on Thursday and Sunday nights till 4 with amazing tacos thanks to Ricky!!
Worst club ever. Security is the worst and rude. Blamed me for stealing a random drink.
Expensive cover but a monument to late night SF dance scene. Silly! Usually good music.
Awesome music, I like the layout, bathrooms are ok. Staff is attentive.
Ive experienced some of the most AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL times of my life & people/experiences @ The Endup!!!
Great after hours place if you dont want to go home at 2AM
You might catch me here at 3 am. A great club with wonderful service.
Security is not cool. They need to chill out.
Clutch after hours! Great place to hang when youre not ready to call it a night yet.
Went on ShangriLa RED Party night. So your experience on other nights may be quite different.
Their website says open but when you get there they’re closed. Been there twice and they’re closed.
Was served water & tonic, not gin & tonic. Slimy, shady business practice. Now I see why it was dead.
The WORST!!!!!!!!!!!!! They promote free before a certain time but will have you wait outside for 30 minutes!!! DO NOT COME TO THE END UP!!! The worst customer service!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You know i would like a club like ruby skye that went til like 6 the musics ok if your on molly
A good locale to peddle your wares in the wee hours of the morning.💰
I have not been there in years but always had a blast!!!!!
I like it very much its just the place to have a lots of fun .
Opened in 1973 and still going strong, 45 YEARS later!
This place doesn’t serve alcohol.
Finally went and lots of fun. Three rooms.
RUDE STAFF. Do not go here!
Theyre a racist club. I wouldnt bother.
Sucks djs suck place sucks. Cover is too much!
One of the best house music clubs!
Over priced and no good drinks after 2
Great meeting place fun dark
Grungy! You have a sense like life had taken a wrong turn.
Had an amazing time DJ ing here
Do any folks know what the age requirement is?
Empty club at 1 pm
Don’t go there. Waste of time and money
DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!
Employee at entrance lied that it was busy inside
What happened to this place? Not the same vibe at all.
This place open when all other places close.
Dont go thereA scam
Kind of a cool spread out bar
Awesome for after hours.
Great club, great sound!
The only place to be after 2:00am
Only minimal house club in SF
Extremely expensiveTo bad zero 🌟

This place is wack
Etch-a-sketch
Luv This place...
Since we create the atmosphere, no complaints, good music, pleasant cleanliness, I recommend it, as a suggestion there should be a Latin day or time
Horrible, paid 60 bucks just to get in. Terrible atmosphere, 60 dollars to then go in and order a can of beer. Terrible, not recommended at all.
Too awake. Too g.ay.
At 1:30 it starts to fill up, at first the night is very slow.
