My new favorite dive bar in the city. A great blues band was playing the night we went and the atmosphere was fun and full of happiness. Excellent and creative cocktails (the Bees Knees and the ginger cocktail are very much recommended). Service was exceptional, well be definitely coming back! Love this place, A+++

Coming from outside the city I can say you are incredibly fortunate to have such an amazing bluegrass band! Not only are they great at it, but they clearly play for the love of it because they played 3 hours with only one short break! Paid-for bands don’t work that hard!

It’s hard to find any reason not to like a neighborhood bar like this. Bart tender Mike was great to chat with is just making it more fun to patronize the place

Watched a David Bowie tribute band and they were great. There was only one bartender and it was busy so getting a drink was a bit slow, but at least we had great entertainment while we waited. Would go back!

Relaxed environment thats usually not too crowded. Live bluegrass music on Sundays and kareoke on Fridays. Fair selection of drinks at decent prices with a good selection of house cocktails. They have a pool table thats first come first serve. Come here if youre looking to hang with the locals.

Went on a Saturday night paid $10 each cover charge. Bar was completely packed... standing room only... hot and humid inside. It wasnt pleasant. Stood outside to continue listening to the band.

Karaoke djs are notoriously bad in general, but this place has it really bad. I left him a 20 dollar tips and asked to be put up at least twice before i needed to go to tend family matter. He ignored me put me up for one song put everybody else twice and when i asked again very nicely he literally skipped me over 10 more song to which i left because it was time for me to go. Bar tender also keep ignoring me although i always tip them double the regular amount. I get literally ignored every time no matter how busy how good or bad they have it, its always a huge struggle like my first 30 min inside this place is like a battle for survival and its not even that busy since i try to get there early enough so i can get a good drink and a couple of songs. Ive been bringing business to this place for years always inviting a bunch of friends i get treated really bad like really really bad and sorry i dont take this personal until it becomes a personal offense. Watching everyone else getting more out of their night but me. So i dont get what this place is about but Im sick of it, and literally ruining my night. Last night i spent 40 bucks. I asked the bar tender to make me a drink she made made two, i had to pay for both didnt drink both. I left 20 at the dj tip jar for a miserable one song while every body what was singing twice. Fantastic local dive, with frequent live music and cheap drinks.The crusty regular bartender will size you up, and based on his whims he may or may not ever take your order.

Always a decent time. They often have live music, and otherwise its a nice quiet local spot. Semi-friendly, semi-affordable, and has a pool table. Biased since its local but I like it :)

Fun neighborhood dive. The small stage puts the band right with the crowd. Good sound. Small place but rockn last night. Packed crowd. Parking was easy on the street for a Saturday night.

I was there on a Wednesday night for my pool league. It started off quiet which was a nice introduction for this bar. Then a band showed up and played live music which was a nice backdrop. Despite the amount of people the service was still spot on. I had a good first time experience. Its a cash only bar but, they do have an ATM. The drinks are reasonably priced as well. I would recommend this bar.

This is a great neighborhood bar. Theres always lots of friendly locals and the bartenders make good drinks. Theres free Karaoke every Friday night and its not packed (sometimes theres less than 10 people in the bar).

Great no frills local dive. Bar tender is amazing, super fun to chat with. We are heading back from blue grass night! If youre looking for a local joint to wet your beak, youve found it 5+ nights a week!

I went to a jam there on a Wednesday night jam night. Its a small, comfortable local bar which is friendly. Jams vary from night to night but its usually very good there. So tell your friends and get over there for some good music on Wednesdays. Prices are very reasonable. Its very informal and pleasant. Check it out when youre inclined.

This is a spacious dive bar off am already great street. They offer a great selection of beer including sours and have plenty of seating. There are pool tables towards the back and live music plays upfront. The night I arrived here, dj Heidi was there spinning some older hits on vinyl. Not your typical music, but very welcome.

Ball and Bluegrass on Sundays. amazing juxta for the ages. Weds. its Ball and Blues. the music is excellent and the Warriors are making history...win this year and theyre best team ever. this is a cool and friendly bar. just to get away. each night is different with an all female bluegrass sometimes and lotsa fine femme musicians sitting with local juntas.

Its a great bar for pool players. Friendly bartenders, too. A neighborhood bar feel. In Bernal Heights across from nice local grocery and restaurants nearby.

Karaoke night is a ton of fun. Lots of interesting characters show up to belt out tunes with gusto and varying degrees of talent. This is a friendly, fun, dive bar that offers a pure slice of quintessential SF.

Terrible covid19 safety measures. No gloves. The bartender kept removing their mask. Two people were sitting at the bar having drinks.It may have been a nice local bar if times were different, but during a pandemic while others are working so hard to reopen California safely it was disheartening to see such disregard for public safety.My drink was strong but it basically tasted like a shot of cheap vodka with a lime squeezed in.Brats tasted okay, but took a long time to be ready as they had not warmed up the grill beforehand and my partners was still a bit cold in the middle and did not come with the condiments we requested.

Great neighborhood dive bar, okay one step up from a dive. I never feel uncomfortable there, their drink menu has depth, great music a lot of different days, check their website, a Bernal Hts treasure

For whatever reason, the bartender seemed like shed rather be somewhere else and wasnt personable. On top of that after being in the bar for several hours I was told I had to pay $15 to stay because a cover band was playing. It ruined what started off as a fun beginning.

This bar supports Live Music, nice folks on both sides of the bar . A real neighborhood institution. Bluegrass on Sunday from 4-7 pm all for free. Its a cash only place.

Local spot that is great for watching a ball game. Drinks arent as cheap as other places. The Friday karaoke night is better on the early side when the hidden vocal talent hits the mic.

Friendly service, comfy dive bar vibe, 7 bucks for Titos rocks. Warriors game on the TVs..What else do you need? All around quality establishment.

Drink was terrible, food took 30min and wasnt served as ordered. They told a regular they are only serving food to be open during covid; it shows. Store employee parked, illegally, in a handicap spot and went inside to work. Employees were also taking shots of Jameson in the back. Mask were not being worn correctly.

Love this spot. Pool life is alive and well. Karaoke folk are good. Effort is in the dive details. Mission feel as we age in bernal.

Round bar that creates a unique vibe. Friendly bartenders and good selection of cocktails. Love the galacta old school table video game console and the popcorn machine.
