Worst experience of my life in a spa and I go to spa since I am 13 years old.I love Korean Spa, and I will never go again at that place. They basically scraped my skin badly, I still have scare on moles 4 months after... and had a bad rash for a month. I had to see the dermatologist twice because of it, it cost me $420 with insurance, and had a mole take out as it shape wasnt going back to normal. Worse thing, the spa never apologize, neither check on me after the owner saw my skin herself, lie to my face pretending she wasnt the boss, and make me pay for my treatment saying the boss only allowed her to do a discount... So basically, make me pay for a terrible treatment and told me it was my faute if I was allergic to their (horrible) products...Save yourself pain and money, drive a bit further to Olympic or Crystal Spa and dont go at V Spa! The lady who own and manage the spa have no respect for people! The only thing I was able to do is complaining to the credit card company, who refund me the treatment after sending them pics and dermatologist report. Thanks to a friend who recommended that, I had no idea you can do that. The Spa still cost me $420 of medical bill....Run from that spa!
For the services + amenities the pricing is fair. I went in a party of 3. It’s 2 hours of private jacuzzi, steam room, body scrub, then the Himalayan room upstairs. The body scrub was a harsh exfoliation that gave me paper cut like marks. While I did get scrubbed brand new, I wish there were choices of scrub level and stay in the sauna rooms longer. I prefer day spas & adding services going at my own pace. If you want in and out in 2 hours this is for you.
OMG!! You have a hottub, wet and dry saunas, a cold plunge, all to yourself. Inter gender as well. My wife and I have been on several occasions and have been thoroughly pleased to say the least. Since you get the whole place to yourself its great spot for couples or groups.
It was so small, they only do couples, and it was Uncomfortable being with Mail, friend… The Service was Korean, and she couldn’t understand us. It was expensive and we spend only two hours in and then they had to kick us out because they had another couple..
I absolutely loved this place.I am visiting LA, from New York and I’ve had a fair amount of massages. This place was wonderful.I left feeling brand new!Chuck, the owner helped me set up a full spa day at his Korean Spa location and a few doors down at the Massage and Facial location. My facial with Jackie was one of the best facials I’ve ever had. I’m glowing.Thank you so much everyone.
Will give them a 7 out 10. Service was good, place was clean. Definitely not a WI spa experience, but pleasant
Massage and scrub were sub par. the jimjilbang hot rooms were not hot at all. my friend who joined me got a bad rash a few days after her scrub - I believe they re-use the scrub mitts which caused an infection. Whats more is that they will start rushing you after 90 minutes to make sure you get out in time. It made the experience of having the space private not an enjoyable experience. I would rather spend as many hours as I like at another korean spa for the same price.
Amazing. 10/10 highly recommend. I treated myself to the V Special to get the body scrub, massage, hair wash, mini facial. Loved it, and the woman that took care of me was really nice! It was my first time here, I typically go to Ktown spas but since Ive moved, this is closer and Im so happy I found this gem. Appointments only, and I much prefer that, I had the whole spa to myself for almost 2 hours. Will definitely be coming back.
Due to the Covid distance order, only V Spa special was available. That was fine with me. I needed full body scrub so badly. Needed a reservation. And I occupied the Spa by myself. It was relaxing and so peaceful. Technician was a very skinny but she was strong to give me good and sound massage. I would say with perfect pressure. I enjoyed everything, jacuzzi, sauna, dry saunas, body scrub, facial, and massage. Thank you! Recommended if you need to refresh yourself. I would go back to V spa for sure. It was good that I didn’t need to drive to Korea town, either.
This place is darling. I got exactly what I needed, a private spa experience.During Covid you need to book the place to yourself (or with a friend) $130 for 2 hours. I loved having the steam room and hot tub to myself.I enjoyed the scrub. The massage was more like a soft body rub, not a trained massage, in fact no English spoken so no way to check in or ask me anything about my body or preferences. It was more like a nurturing mother or grandmother rubbing you, very sweet, but not getting any kinks out. It felt wonderful, just depends what you are looking for.Funny when I booked on the phone I thought wow, $130 is a steal for a private experience!! BUT after being there, the price seems right. The space is quaint, but not luxury. For instance, the walls are peeling, the lights are dirty, the hot tub smells like wet dog, the scrub table smells moldy & going face down was impossible for me without gagging a bit.No complaints about the steam room! There was a cute wooden bathtub but I was not invited to use it. IN fact when I first arrived I was trying to shower and the woman kept urging me just get in the hot tub (without showering? ).You supposedly get 1 hour with the scrub and 1 hour to soak. I was able to soak & steam before and after.I would definitely do this again. I was already thinking about a few people Id bring next time.
Did not get to utilize the facility but I wanted to say they only do 2 hour reservations so you cannot enjoy the saunas for longer, it’s not a traditional day spa and I did not see that in the website.
Rushed, unhygienic.. never coming again. During the facial they used hand soap that caused me to break out. The body scrub loofah was reused from a previous time. The ladies would not explain what was going to happen next, they would just give commands “hurry, go there, turn around”. The hair wash used boiling hot water which is bad for the scalp. NEVER GENTLE. just ROUGH. Opposite of relaxation. The massage was average. They didn’t give me a foot rub & that’s the most basic thing.
This was a need, not a want. After a year of Covid-Winter skin, I could not stand looking at my layers of old epidermis. Normally, I exfoliate ritually, however, my spa treatment 2020, was the same day as the CA shutdown & I never got back to the habit.About V Spa: it is smallish, but I like that. Lilly was the most amazing technician. She treated me at the door, made sure I had everything I needed in the locker room, then showed me to the sauna. I missed saunas. 20 min later, Lilly led me to the scrub table and for almost an hour, she worked her magic.I feel amazing; renewed; refreshed.Highly recommend!
I scheduled a private Korean Scrub package for my friend and I. It was fabulous and was my first time. For $130 you get the scrub, light facial and mask, a hair wash and massage. You also have access to the Himalayan salt and the red clay saunas. You jacuzzi and steam before the scrub. It was worth every dollar. I will be going back soon. Thanks V Spa for removing our dead Covid skin!!!
I came to this spa with my bf and we were charged a total of 130 per person and they did not include the full services that were supposed to be included in the massage service. We had really bad back pain the two days after the massage. The hygiene of this place is also very bad. I would not recommend this place if you are trying to enjoy a nice relaxing spa day.
I came with my daughter and she really enjoyed it so did I.Its definitely a bathhouse type and its a unique experience to have. Loved it really kind people too.
Its a cute spa. Its a bit small but perfect if you dont want to feel crowded.I got the V Spa Special which included the Korean body scrub, hair wash, cucumber face mask, and oil massage. It was great. I left feeling relaxed amd soft.It looks like theyre still working out some kinks as they were quite a bit disorganized: Massages were set on post it notes which left the staff completely confused, no appointment times were given forthree massages, and another customer actually was behind the counter.Im a bit curious as to what they do with the scrubs that they use on each individual person. Ive been to other Korean Spas where they give you the scrub as they cant reuse it but in this case they didnt. I do hope theyre not reusing it on customers. I didnt see any trash bins filled with scrubs or any additionally scrubs available for staff.Parking was not pleasant. Although given the location in Pasadena, its expected.I will say that the staff I did connect with were very friendly.
Excellent service, the facility was very clean, we had the spa to ourselves, and we really had such a great time. Very reasonable pricing for everything and will definitely go back again! Thank you V -Spa!
Best Massage Ive had in a very long time. Masseuse doesnt cut corners. Spa was clean and organized. Disappointed they didnt have ice water on hand. Maybe due to the start of COVID
Very clean working space and the massage was the best I’ve ever had. I will be coming back again and again I feel and smell amazing
Nice! Clean! Private! You can have your own sauna for two hours including with massage and scrub for only $130
I came to this place because I saw it had good reviews came to find out that it was not what I expected at all. I dont know how this place has all these good reviews, but if you want to be able to walk for the next 3 days I recommend you do not come to this place. They left me with horrible back pain. The hygiene of this place is really bad in general.
Excellent scrub! Technician also gave a really great massage, go for the V-Spa special, a lovely experience!.
So relaxing! I love that it’s women’s only the amenities they give are so wonderful I got the classic facial and I had never seen my face so clear! Definitely worth giving a visit
The best experience. The staff and team were so amazing, I truly feel like a whole new person. Will definitely go back.
I needed a full body scrub soooo bad and was pleased to see all that COVID dead skin erased. Calm, quiet and soothing environment!
Very nice and relaxing. The clay and salt room was the best after my body scrub!
Super fun and great value!
Ok place
Great place to recharge.
Lovely accommodating service !
