I’ve been going to I Massage Envy South Pasadena since December 2015 and every Massage Therapist has been very attentive to my needs. The BEST ONE EVER!!! is Joana. I have never felt better after each session I have with her. Since my very first visit with her it was like she knew my body.She has that MAGICAL TOUCH, and is able to ZONE IN to the areas that need the most attention. She is always very attentive and checks in to make sure that I doing ok and if the pressure is fine and if I need anything else to be worked on.Lastly, she also remembers our past conversations and will ask questions in regards to what we talked about.Thanks for all that you do Joana. You’re the BEST!!!!!

I had such a amazing experience... the massage was so needed!! Thank you to Joana for really breaking me down. It was only 1 hr, but it made a big difference. I woke up this morning feeling great, all those stress areas were gone. Joana has a great personality and made me feel sooo comfortable, hope to do it again real soon ❤️

The massage with Erin was great. It was a much-needed body circulation. The only issue I had was with Massage Envy gift card. When I checked out using the gift card that my daughter gave me almost 3 years ago which I knew still had a balance I was told the balance is zero and that it was used 3 times. The fact is - it was only used once which was before the massage with Erin. And Im the only one who has access to my gift cards.

The massage was amazing. I like firm pressure and Faith does not disappoint. She listens to your area of concerns and takes her time to focus on those areas. Will be coming back next month to see Faith again.Also had a facial with Amy. She is amazing at what she does. Takes the time to consult and offers suggestions to improve your skin care regimen at home.

Always a pleasant experience at Massage Envy. Yvette has magic hands! I always fall asleep during my facials. I love that she asks questions before we begin my treatment and I always walk away with glowing, beautiful skin! I feel like she cares and that’s what matters most.

Yvette does my facials and is very knowledgeable estheticians. She will recommend me on what my skin needs or what type of facial I should get based on my concerns or needs. She is also sincere and will share at home techniques to maintain. I feel really comfortable during my sessions as she doesn’t bombard me with questions but it’s more of a natural short conversation.

Erin was great! I had a relaxing massage, and some much needed quiet time. She checked in periodically re: pressure, and paid special attention to all the things I mentioned, like a tendinitis issue and my love of cranial massage. Thanks for helping me decompress, Erin!

Caleb was very nice and attentive to my request. He provided great service and was very friendly. I definitely recommend him. He did a fantastic and wonderful job. In my opinion he has king Midas hands, anything he touches turns to gold.

This was my first time and I was so impressed by my massage therapist, Mark. He gave the perfect amount of pressure for a deep tissue/sports massage and his technique was on point with working on my shoulders and back. I will definitely be back and cannot recommend Mark highly enough!

Every experience at this location has been great. Erin was the last therapist I had and was attentive and provided a very relaxing session. The people working the reception desk were also very friendly and helpful.

Really friendly and helpful check in .I did not catch the persons name that does the check in process .. yet he was amazing offered me water and made sure the process was smooth.Ambient and calm location.Massage pressure was good and was receptive of need for less pressure in painful areas.Recommend the location .Learned that there is a parking spot afterwards .

Ive tried a few Massage Envys in NELA and this is my favorite by far! It was last minute, but they still had a bunch of available slots to choose from. They assigned me Caleb and he was great! I had stress and tension everywhere and he found the root of each problem area and really helped me feel like a whole new person. Ill be going back!

Martha was great! I had a lot of pain and tension going in and I felt it melt away during the session. She really did a wonderful job, I can’t wait to go back.

Please do not support this business. They have an unethical way to do business. Or do not ever call the phone to make rsvp, just call to see if they have availability for walk ins. They won’t disclose their terms and cancellation policy. They’ll get you to reserve, and if you’re late or miss it due to an emergency. They’ll charge you $145 without you knowing. If I was aware that they had $145 cancellation fee in the beginning, I would have prioritized my situation. I got in a car accident on the way to the massage and I called 15 min before closing and they said they’ll charge me for the service I never received. But my experience with the staff during this transaction was very poor customer service. I will never ever.

Marc made me feel very comfortable throughout my massage! I felt like he and I had been friends for ages, even though this was our first meeting. I really appreciated not having to force myself into an uncomfortable silence throughout my visit. The massage was exactly what I needed, and Ill definitely be asking for Marc when Im due for another one!

Hector is an amazing massage therapist. In his pre assessment he actually listens to your needs and incorporates them into your massage. I know that sounds obvious- but you’d be surprised how many therapists do a pre assessment but then perform a CLEARLY standard general generic massage.Hector always makes me feel better!

Joana was amazing. She made me feel really comfortable and listened to what I needed to work on and focused on those areas. I typically like firm pressure and she gave the right amount of pressure.

Amy is truly talented and has beautiful energy. The entire experience was incredible. Amy was informative and answered my questions thoroughly. I look and feel amazing; she is definitely my go to for facials.

Erin is an excellent massage therapist. She got all the knots out and gave me some excellent advice and tips on how to manage my sciatica.

I’m sharing about two amazing people who don’t just come to work, but who demonstrate heart and spirit in caring for their clients. I go to Yvette for monthly facials and she has helped me reevaluate parts of my skincare regime that are not helping me achieve my skin goals. In addition to her skills for making my skin calm and hydrated, she is also a great listener and a kind soul. Though I haven’t been to see her in a few months. I also see Erin for light-medium pressure massage. Erin has not only helped to alleviate my aches from sitting at a computer all day, but she has educated me on stretches I can do theoughout the day to prevent muscle tension. Erin has also taught me how to better communicate my needs when receiving a massage. We joke that it’s not a good massage when I’m in pain and would prefer not to be! I’m so grateful for the care I receive at this Massage Envy location.

Massage Envy is the most cleanest and reputable facility I’ve been to. You are greeted as soon as you walk in and feel so relaxed when you walk out.

Violet is the absolute best masseuse ever! She maintains good pressure throughout and knows how to completely relax you.

I had a much needed facial on 1/13/24 by Amy. She was very professional, personable and her technique is great. I have been getting facials for 25 years and I found Amy to be very knowledgeable about the industry. She made some great product recommendations and gave me great advice on the current state of my skin and what I can do to improve it. I will be scheduling my next session soon.

If you are looking for a spa like massage and atmosphere, this is not the place. If you are looking for deep tissue or any kind of therapeutic massage this is not the place. If you want to overpay to have someone haphazardly rub you, by all means, this is your go to. Beyond disappointed. Worse massage I ever had.

Amy is great! Facial was on point, felt relaxed and did the job without making me feel like I have to leave obligated to get something. Loved it! She’s knowledgeable and really helped me understand my skin type and goals!

Hector was amazing. I drove from San Diego to South Pasadena to meet a friend but I am thinking about driving back for Hector. He kept asking to make sure the pressure was good and was able to help get rid of the tightness in my neck. Wow after one visit, thank you so much Hector. Also the front desk was so helpful I feel awful I didn’t catch her name. When my friend couldn’t find her appointment she found her a walk in available near by. The staff is great the waiting room is beautiful. It was worth my drive down.

If you prefer light/med pressure massage Maria is for you! I can be very tender and sensitive and Maria was very attentive to my comfort throughout the massage. I will definitely be back!

Filipe is an amazing masseur . From lite to Deep tissue massage . Walked out feeling renewed. Very beautiful and calm environment.

I usually don’t get any facials because I’m always worried about the products that will be used on me. But, Amy was great she asked A lot of question which was great because she was able to give my skin the proper love and attention in needed. Overall, I would return my skin feels amazing and I was very pleased with the overall service.

Hector is amazing and always applies the right amount of pressure to address all of my issues. He gets the kinks out and puts you into full zen mode. He is very responsive to the need to apply pressure in different modes for different areas. My favorite massage therapist at this location!

The front desk woman was lovely, and did not pressure me for a membership, which I appreciated. Caleb, my therapist, was nice, but he was a few minutes late, and works EXTREMELY slowly, so ran out of time in an 80 minute session before he could get to my shoulders, which, to me, is essential to a basic massage. He didn’t address anything I wrote on the questionnaire, which made me wonder why I took the time to complete it. The room was freezing, the table linens smelled strongly of detergent (I strongly recommend using unscented to accommodate sensitive clients) and there was no hot towel at the end. It was certainly not a waste of money, but it wasn’t ideal.

Best ME in my area. Large and spacious, with a fantastic waiting room. Very polite, friendly and helpful front desk staff. Autumn was lovely. Fillipe was one of the most professional ME practioners I have ever encountered. He delivers a very specific massage. Firm pressure with more of a sports focus. He was very clear to say that his technique is therapeutic and med to firm pressure and not a relaxing feel good service. It was exactly what I was looking for. He delivered an extremely focused massage that helped me with the tight muscles I expirience from working out with weights. I highly recommend Fillipe if you are looking for a firm sports targeted massage.

My monthly facial with Yvette is essential to keeping my skin glowing. She is an excellent aesthetician. I highly recommend trying a facial with her.

Amy was so wonderful with my facial. I have some scars from severe acne I had 10 years ago and she is so encouraging and informative with giving tips on how to continue to heal my skin. It’s always a very restorative experience working with her.

Gloria was great! She had a very warm personality and was incredibly knowledgeable about muscles and where stress is held. She even suggested stretches I could do to help loosen tension in some of the problem areas I had.

Ive recently had massages from Faith and Maria at this location, and they were both fantastic! They really take their time to make sure they work out all your knots. I highly recommend them.

Marc is an excellent therapist. I have a lot of muscle tension and headaches and he is able to really isolate the areas that need work to help with that. Very polite and always checks that pressure is okay. He is also very perceptive and can tell when a person feel like taking vs needing to just relax. Always a positive thing experience.

I had Hector, he is really incredible. He fixed my shoulder and rotator cuff in less that 30 minutes. I will def be back again. Such a great vibe here.

I needed a massage because I hurt my back in a fall. It was tender and I was afraid the massage would be painful. Alberto understand my condition and did a great job of stretching the sore muscles without hurting me at all. He definitely contributed to my recovery.

Alberto is by far one of the best masseurs Massage Envy has. He listened to what I needed and gave me easily my top 3 massages of all time. I came in with a migraine and I left feeling like a whole new person. He is a true healer! The front desk team is always great and welcoming too at this location!

Had a deep tissue massage with Marcus with focus only on my shoulders. I’ve been having chronic pain and needed a massage badly. Marcus pushed at points I’ve never had anyone else push at. The pressure was good and sometimes almost to the point I wanted to ask for a lighter touch, but he never pushed me to the point where I HAD to ask. I felt immediate relief upon both shoulders when I left. I was hesitant because there have been other times where I left the massage and my pain comes back slightly later at night. But nope. I was finally able to have a good sleep that night.

I got a great one hour massage from Hector yesterday. He was thoughtful, present, and communicative throughout the session, frequently checking in to see if I wanted him to adjust anything. He had the strength and control to give a very solid deep tissue massage with heavy pressure, which is exactly what I wanted. And, when I let him know I was starting to feel a bit tenderized in spots, he was able to to ratchet down the pressure just enough to stay out of the pain zone while still delivering a satisfying massage. My only regret is, I wish Id signed up for a longer session!

It was my first time to visit this spa, the experience was not good at all, especially for a high price 85$ each hour. The service and skills are below average….My husband called to make an appointment of facial and body massage for my birthday to surprise me, and I was there on time @11am.I did the facial first, first of all, I told the lady AMY I had a little cold sore in my mouth, then she told me I am not supposed to do facial because I have a cold sore… but anyway she allowed me to do it anyway later.I started to lay down on the facial table @11:20am, then AMY came in, and the session ended @12, which is total 40minutes!!!!! And this whole time she wear a blue gloves to touch my face… which it feel so uncomfortable!!! I did so many facial no one has used gloves..For the massage , my husband told me he scheduled a female masseuse but a male did mine which I did not mind.My body massage appointment was @12:30pm, then @12:35 someone finally came to bring me to the massage room, then I undress and lay down about 12:40, the session finished by 1:25pm, which is 45 minutes total. The last part of massage was very confusing, the masseuse use one hot tower to wipe my back one time, then he left a fresh towel on my back and cover with blankets, then he told me the session was over and left the room. So I literally have to wipe my own back again … which I have done so many massages and never experienced like this.Later I told the front desk why my $85 an hour session end up with 40 minutes and 45 minutes, she told me it’s normal depends on the clients ……Last but not least, I purchased the sunscreen that AMY recommended, she told me it was 20% off of 50$ dollar, however the front desk told me the $50 was already after 20% off.Overall I just felt like totally taken advantage of because of my first time and kindness …

This Massage Envy location has the best customer service. They are very welcoming and provide the most relaxing experience. I recommend Joana if it will be your first time visiting. She does all kinds of pressures, and will find areas in your body that you didn’t think needed some kneading. 😄

Yolanda was amazing! I did the customized 60 minute facial with her and she took such incredible care of my skin. She helped me work through my skin problems and offered great skincare advice. I absolutely plan to go back!!

I was only able to get 30 minutes in with my favorite therapist Jorge, but he totally ironed out the problem in my neck and opened up the space between my shoulder blades. 10/10I will definitely be booking ahead for the next one!

I had Marc as my massage therapist and he had Great customer service, great conversationalist, he listened to me about my back problems and continued asking me if the deep tissue was hurting. By the time the hour was done my sciatic pain was gone. I got this massage as a gift but I’m definitely considering a membership after the service

Yvette clearly explained the process and each step of the facial. She was gentle and made sure I was comfortable even during the extractions.

My massage with Joanna was a very relaxing experience. I went in with tightness in my neck and shoulders and Joanna really helped alleviate that. This was my first time getting a massage with Joanna. I liked it so much that I booked another appointment for the month after. Will hopefully be scheduling more appointments with her!

Maria is highly recommended bc she goes beyond her duties. I went to see her in hopes of avoiding a doctor visit, and she helped me release the tension thats been built up in my body and educated me about stretches/exercises I can do to help myself. One more visit with her should put me in the pathway towards physical well being, then I look forward to maintaining this practice.

Its always a great experience when im able to have George as my masseuse. The front desk seems kind of lost. The previous front desk people were friendlier and actually interested in your experience. I feel the new people at the front desk definitely need a lesson in how to conversate and showing interest in their clients... George 5 stars, front desk 3 star, which averages a 4 star experience...

Ask for Faith! I’ve never had such a relaxing massage where I felt better not only during/immediately after the treatment but even better the next day! Highly recommend going for an extended session to allow her to work her magic as she’s very meticulous and thorough but very gentle when working out knots. Go for Faith!

Amy is terrific! It was the first time for me to receive a peel from her and I was delighted with her service. She was cautious and really took the time to pay attention to my skin. Plus, the results were fantastic! I will definitely be back.

Customer service was so rude! I called to ask about pricing but Elle was not helpful. She spoke in a low voice and when I asked her to repeat herself she sighed and raised her voice. Bad attitude and no help.

I knew immediately that the practitioner Elizmarc was not going to perform a full massage. He became hyper focused on my stated problem area and was not easily re-directed.The practitioner Elizmarc did not have a sense of light medium or heavy pressure and came close to injuring me.The practitioner Elizmarc talked throughout the massage about himself and his thoughts on “my problems”.The practitioner Elizmarc used his pressure from force and not by the movement of his body.The massage itself was disconnected painful and pinchy.I had to vocalize “ouch” numerous times throughout the massage to tone down the pressure.I was fortunately not injured during this massage, however there were multiple close calls.I am a registered nurse and retired massage therapist and have some knowledge around my evaluation of this experience.

Jorge is Great…You won’t get a better massage! With the correct pressure he knows exactly the right areas to work on. I am continuously impressed by the professional and attentive care he provides each time I go. Needless to say I would highly recommend him!

Had a great 60 min deep tissue massage session from Hector. He really knows how to pinpoint problem areas in my back and checks to see if the pressure he applies is ok. 10/10 massage will definitely book with him again!

Albert had some good moments. I liked how he consulted me about pressure that I desired and stuck to that throughout. The last 20 minutes of the 90 minute session were perfect very relaxing and hit some of the targeted areas on upper back and lower back. Suggestions for the future would include slowing down and using a less rushed approach so that the client feels calmed.

Alberto customized myMassage and gave me exactly what I needed and wanted. He used techniques specifically for my tight connective tissue in between my shoulder blades from lots of baby wearing and sewing that was causing me so much pain. I woke up feeling clearer and calmer in my body today. I would def come back

My son & daughter-in-love treated me to a Facial. Amy did an excellent job, being gentle, patient & very thorough at her beautifying task! A delightful experience & now ready for the upcoming Christmas season!

Dont be deterred by the exterior of the building, its a little sketchy but inside is great. I have been getting prenatal massages with Jessica for the past 3 or 4 months. She has been great, both as a masseuse and as emotional support during my third trimester.

Yvette is the best esthetician. My favorite facial is the oxygenating.

I came in mentioning stress and heartbreak and needing to relax and feel better, and she proceeded to tell me about her uncle’s recent death and her son’s anxiety and their family trips. It was so much talking and it was not what I needed. I tried to respond with very little engagement to show I wasn’t interested, but then she went on to the next topic. There was a period near the middle where she wasn’t talking, but I felt like instead of kneading my bad energy out of me, she rubbed hers into me. It was a real bummer. I generally have a great experience here, though it was my first time with this massage therapist. The massage itself was good and could have been so much better without all of the distractions.

Joana was awesome, I signed up for a membership so I will be back to see her.

If you go to the South Pasadena location you gotta see Hector! I like a very deep tissue massage and he really got in there to break up my tight muscles. He worked out most of the knots in my shoulders and upper back and I feel so much better now! Thanks Hector

The sales associate at the time of my checkout did not seem to know how to operate the computer system very well and seemed to have poor vision, because of how close he was to the monitor. He pulled up the wrong customer profile, because when he was reading the information for checkout it was all wrong. Another sales associate had to help him out. The massage itself was great as usual.

Cleb was amazing! He was able to access my issues and help give me relief in my shoulders and lower back and he gave me exercises to do at home. Awesome!

Gloria was my therapist, she was able to get my right arm over my head without pain. I was only able to raise it to my shoulder with pain. She explained to me that I need to stretch everyday. I will ask for Gloria on my next visit.

This location is great. I highly recommend Fillipe. Fillipe does a wonderful job of listening to where you may feel aches and pains and focuses his attention on those areas. The front desk staff is also kind and helpful. Parking behind the location and street parking (up to an hour) is easy to find. Great tranquility room, a warm and welcoming environment.

Luz is a terrific massage therapist. I feel rejuvenated after a session with her. She works every muscle in your body. Highly recommended, especially if you like firm massages.

Can’t even explain how wonderful I felt after my facial. I believe Yolanda was the one who did my facial. She explained everything she did and put on my face. She recommended items I should try on my face but I didn’t purchase because they were a bit too pricey.The room I was taken into was very clean and well kept. Had relaxing music playing and the room was dim. I had an appointment and didn’t have to wait to be seen. For it being my first time there, I had to fill out an online questionnaire about my skin and my health.Definitely recommend it!!!

I made an appointment for my wife. Due to Los Angeles traffic, we were unable to make it to the appointment. I called massage envy in South Pasadena to re schedule and the receptionist stated, unfortunately, we have to charge you because this is considered a no call no show. that is why I called! I called as soon as I was notified by my wife. it is unfortunate that they did not understand. I will not be back that is for sure. If this was communicated when I made the phone appointment, I would have taken a different approach. communication is key! You are in the customer service industry.

My therapist finished the massage 5 minutes early. I wouldnt complain if the prices were not so expensive. However, for 70 dollars plus 10 dollar tip, I would expect excellent customer service. Not with the hype.
