Courted at The St. James

I really enjoyed, to the spa for the red light therapy and the cryotherapy, and the compression boots. The facility is great, but the experience would not be what it is without the assistance of Joana at the front desk. Since I have joined, she has taught me about all of the benefits of all of the services offered at the spa. Use my membership to the maximum capacity.

Love love love this spa at the Saint James! They offer complete wellness services and their prices are competitive with local salons. I love the professionalism of the staff and the chic ambiance. Bring yourself here to get pampered! Lee is an amazing manicurist!

Courted is incredible! I had a facial with Nikki and a pedicure with Ivy. Both services were top notch. Nikki customized the facial to meet my needs and three days later my face is still so smooth and clear! My pedicure fromIvy was equally amazing- she was both efficient and detailed! And to top it off, the girls at the front desk were so helpful and nice. I had such a great experience that I signed up for a membership afterwards. 10/10 would recommend!

I didn’t have the greatest first service at Courted, but the way it was handled is why I am writing a 5-star review. My first service ever at Courted was for a wax. The service was 30 mins late and I had a series of misunderstandings with the woman doing the service. All in all it was not a comfortable experience.When I went to check out, I spoke to Katie and Liz at the front desk. They apologized, discounted my service, and asked me to give the spa another chance with a different service or a different provider. I was very impressed with their concern about my experience and decided to try the spa again. I scheduled a pedicure with Nicole and a facial with Nikki.Before my appointments, I received a call from spa director Dee. She apologized for the first impression and the first uncomfortable service and told me she was refunding me for it. When she learned I had scheduled new services, she offered to comp the pedicure and apply the refund to my scheduled facial. I felt like this was really over and above excellent for customer service.Both the pedicure and the facial were excellent. Nicole did the pedicure and she was very proficient, she did an excellent job, and was super nice. Nikki did the facial and it exceeded expectations. She spent time getting to know my current routine and my current concerns and explained each step she was doing and how it would benefit my sensitive skin. I walked out of there feeling confident and refreshed.I am now a Courted member and will be going there for wax, mani/pedi, facial and massage. Five stars all around.

I cannot believe my experience today. It’s Mother’s Day. I booked a massage for myself and my mom two weeks in advance. We arrive and my mom is taken back to the room for her massage. I’m told that my therapist is running behind 10 minutes. After a half an hour he still isn’t ready for me. I’m absolutely livid. It’s ruined my day- I’m a nursing mother and it took a Herculean effort to leave the house to be able to get this massage. Needless to say, I’ll never come here again!! Unacceptable way to treat people.

I had an excellent experience today at my first time with Courted. I was welcomed by a pretty concierge who was energetic and conversational. It was my first cryo therapy session and everybody made me feel informed and comfortable. This spa is inside the saint james complex, though memberships are separate. High quality services and experience from this luxury spa. Looking forward to my next opportunity to make time to visit.

Out of all the spas that Ive been to, this is the best so far 10/10.  I loved everything about it. Evelyn Fuentes - A nurse Practitioner, was very knowledgeable about the process and products. She really knows the industry and her stuff. She made me feel that she really cares about the results Im seeking.  My consult with her simplified how the process/product will work with my specific skin type and what steps I need to take to improve my skins fine lines, collagen, and pigment.  I love my results, and I recommend Evelyn (NP) for ALL your beauty needs!.  I will absolutely be going back and continue with Courted and Evelyn.

My experience at Courted was an absolute 10/10. I worked with Evelyn Fuentes who gave me a thorough consult, listened to my concerns and provided knowledgeable feedback on how my issues could be addressed. She’s a true visionary and artist in the craft of enhancing and modifying all while providing natural results. I felt like she was very careful wit my face, explained every step of the process and even discussed products with me without being pushy. I will absolutely be coming back and continuing my beauty journey with Courted and Evelyn. Also, big shout out to the cleanliness of the spa! At no point did I feel concerned with hygiene due to all the precautions and measures being taken with each patient.

10/10 experience! I love this place. I got lip injections, under eyes, Botox, eyebrow lift, & more all done by my good friend Evelyn! Not only is she extremely knowledgeable about all things injections.. she’s also a great RN, very well versed in her field. Courted Spa is the place to get all your beauty needs! I learned about courted through a friend who I accompanied to the spa to get treatment; this friend actually flew in from CA. I was very curious as to why someone would leave CA to come to VA for a spa treatment, and I was concerned for obvious reasons. Needless to say, I was very impressed with the facility, a very beautiful and modern space. The director took time out of her schedule to give me a tour of the spa and informed me about the different services they offer, which lead me to making an appointment for the following week. I’ve been to all the “top spas” in the DC area, so I was anxious to see how they would match up, I was convinced I wouldn’t be returning after my first visit.Hands down, the best treatment and service I’ve had in the area thus far, I was surprisingly impressed. I’ve being going to going courted ever since; wonderful place !

10/10! I received botox and lip injections by Evelyn. She was personable, knowledgeable, and professional. She explained each step of the injection process and detailed info on healing. She was open to answering any questions and made me feel so comfortable for my first experience!! I will for sure go back to Courted, and specifically book with Evelyn!

I’m incredibly excited to share my thoughts on Courted Spa. The expert staff are extremely knowledgeable and strive to ensure clients are always delighted during visits. The professional and kind front office team is on top of scheduling and proactively reaches out to accommodate availability. I have primarily utilized the aesthetics practice, and hands down they are THE BEST. Nybia and her team have focused on 360 degree care by analyzing my skin type and curating an experience and plan specific to Me! You will absolutely not receive a cookie-cutter approach, rather you will receive a fully personalized service that produces stellar results and exceeds expectations.The best part is Courted offers a range of services including (but not limited to) cryo, massage, and nail care. You can do everything that matters to your health and well-being in one beautifully appointed location. This team is one of a kind, and I’m grateful for their dedication and expertise.

This place has a nice environment. People who in the profession is friendly and kind. The front desk person though makes her own rule. She is so rude and stuck up. Every week I usually get my Ivy there with Anthony ( hes awesome ). Every time I ignored her attitude until one Friday morning I got in to The saint James complex I pumped the hand sanitizer next to the entrance and rubbed my hands clean on the way to The Courted. The door to The courted were already open so I still didnt touch anything while still rubbing the hand sanitizer in my hands. I got greeted by Anthony who stood near by. She told me immediately to wash my hands. I told her I just did after I touch the first door handle to the club. She told me to do it again because she needs to see it. At that time I did as she commanded me to. During the service my heart was beating so fast I wanted to straight her up so bad but I told myself its not worth it. The reason I right this comment is to let who ever in charge of The courted should know about this matter and the reason I quit getting my Ivy there is because of her. Ill go back when shes gone from there. Why would I lie about cleaning my own hands? Please lady...bad receptionist experience. Ive never been disrespectful in my whole life. I was there to buy your service not to be disrespectful by you.

I went to the spa and received the pedicure and tension relief massage. Both services were ok. I wasn’t satisfied with my pedicure… I actually ended going to get another one two days later from a local spot in my town just so that the heels of my feet would feel smooth… the technician was nice but me and my friends disliked the quality of the pedicure. We had the same technician. As far as the massage it was ok, I just could t get past the fact that he had the sniffles and kept sniffling and coughing while giving me a massage. My friend had him also and felt the same way. It made it hard to focus on the massage which was just ok. It’s a nice place to visit, there are many activities to take part in but I won’t be returning for their spa services. It wasn’t worth the time and money for me

First class facility, first class treatment! Both the management and staff are extremely knowledgeable, and their personalized service recommendations have literally done wonders for my skin! I am also very appreciative of the strict Covid safety measures the facility has implemented. Highly recommend!

Date: 20-Jan-2019Services Done: 30 minute Facial ($157.50), 90 minute mani and pedi ($76.50) = TOTAL $234.00 includes the 10% discount, excludes tax & tipWay overprice compared to other spa places in the area. I don’t mind paying extra as long as the service is of good quality. With my experience today, the facial, mani, and pedi are just ok. It’s not worth the big bucks, the service is pretty average I would say.Other CONs:1) The lounge is not relaxing at all. The seats are uncomfortable, too hard. The lockers are way too small.2) The guests should be given a robe, no one offered me a robe.3) After my facial, I waited another 30 minutes to get my nails done. I didnt understand why I had to wait when no one was there.4) The mani and pedi should be 90 minutes. The lady was done in less than 1 hour. I am so disappointed with the nail service. I should have went to my usual place. The lady (forgot her name) kept talking about her kids. I went to the spa to relax, not to chit chat. Definitely not worth $85.5) Sparkling water should be free.6) I was not provided a receipt. I realized just now that the front desk did not ask me if I want a receipt. No email receipt either.6) The feedback link that was emailed to me does not work.PROs:1) The staff are nice. Tyna (she did my facial) is good. I would probably see her again.2) Extra discount. If I wasn’t a St. James member, I probably would not even consider Courted.I know this is a new place and I hope that management will be able to work out the kinks. Thanks.

Courted is exceptional. Complete relaxation, enjoyment, and most of all a curated experience to produce the results that I need. Definitely not a “cookie cutter” model. The expertise on this team of professionals provides the confidence I’ve needed to continue my focus on health and well being - thank you!!!

Great service in cryotherapy, pemf and red light therapy so far.

I love going to this spa! It’s very beautiful and relaxing and everyone who works there is very friendly and provides great service. A couple days ago I woke up with a really tight back and they were able to squeeze me in for a 30 minute massage the next day to help me feel better.

At a time when most folks are thrilled to see clients return and embracing long-term members - The St James Courted Spa secretly changed membership packages to charge more and offer weird alternative services in the pandemic, WITHOUT notifying current members and without giving us the option to quit or change membership packages.Spa staff are very frustrated that they also arent getting back up from leadership in communicating this to current members. We got told marketing sent out an email but you arent the first person to tell us they dont have an email.As a result, in trying to ask questions about what is happening and how to communicate the wish to cancel, the front desk team tried to hang up on me, which tells you what sort of environment they are facing at their workplace.Spa service staff regularly do not read allergy notes on my file prior to me going back. I alerted leadership at the Spa, attempted to engage in a conversation both times I had severe reactions, and never fully had situation addressed.They really need to do a general operations safety stand down, check licensing requirements for spa service delivery and operations as well as best business practices for the basics of human kindness and decency.It has just all around been a ridiculous series of events that no one deserves and ultimately reflects the consistent pattern of sub-par leadership at the St. James (see also: their summer camp program that didnt have accreditation and backed up a staff member that was asking my kid to sell ADHD meds to him...information the frontline counselor for the camp was not legally allowed to have access to per FCPD...and they wouldnt refund the registration fees.)A one-star review wont do much, I know.But please -Save yourself.Go elsewhere.

Beautiful facility however some of the upper management are very rude and unprofessional the only positive aspect of this establishment is the amazing PA . Michelle German very professional with a positive attitude toward patient care, Esthetician Emily is Great, Nail Tech Ivee is Great ... another plus is they offer membership . They would be 5 star if they had better organization and leadership but for now they arent there.

I booked services for a friend for her birthday and paid for these services over the phone prior to the appointment. But apparently they never processed the payment, and my friend had to pay for the services herself. When I called afterward to speak to someone about this, the gentleman told me they dont do pre-payments of services... Would have been nice to know when I provided them my credit card information, which they had on file. And if they dont do pre-payments, why did they not just charge my card when the time came for my friend to check out? This cannot possibly be the first time someone has called to treat someone to a spa service so that person doesnt have to pay. Yet somehow Courted cannot figure out how to handle this. If you cant take payment over the phone, fine, then just tell me. Dont tell me its all taken care of only for my friend to have to pay for the service and then tell me you hadnt taken care of the thing you said you would take care of. Bad customer service is a huge turn-off and I will not be recommending this spa to anyone, nor will I be going myself.

I made an appointment for Hadrafacial but instead the tech did Acne facial which I never had a problem with and didn’t ask for. The worst part is I Tried to talk to the manager but was told she’s busy. I was given her card so I email her but no reply to this date. Very disappointing! Spend your money elsewhere where you can get quality service!

I got kybella done with evelyn f. She was amazing, knowledgeable, and very gentle hands. I am not good with pain but she made the procedure feel almost pain less.

Honestly the membership is my favorite service. Nikki constantly makes magic happen with my skin every single month. Literally love coming here.
