Love Latin night on Saturdays. Only thing needed is a dj to dj, not to leave the dj booth alone to hang out at the patio. Dj needs to pump the place up in addition to music like salsa, merengue, bachata and reguetón is some Latin tribal house music with mixes from djs like Roger Sanchez, Oscar G, Mingo Marrero and others. Good dance music. There are no good gay Latino clubs around and we need a good night club for sure here in Tampa. The only good Latin clubs are found in Miami and New York and they are too far to hang out every weekend. A good dance club means better bussiness! With best of wishes!

I love coming to this bar, I always have a great time. Low key, good drinks, reasonable price, good entertainment and a very friendly audience and staff.

Great bar with friendly patrons. Always easy to strike up a conversations. Regularly putting on shows, karaoke, or bear night. Often sponsoring or hosting events open to all.

We visit this place now and then. Really strong drinks and usually nice people. The day crowd is cool.

This is a low key Gem in the Tampa area. Fabulous bar with incredible entertainment. The drinks are fairly priced. Staff is friendly and courteous. The patio bar has been redone and looks great. The shows are great with a new stage. Atmosphere is friendly and inviting. This is definitely a welcoming place for all.

First off the food is terrible so notOrder any food there whatsoever. Place doesn’t look like photos on google it’s not a fancy place at all like the photos make it look like. Mostly older crowd and boring and no dance music. The drinks are cheap and the shows are decent for such a small place. Overall it’s not a bad place for a cheap drink. It would be better if they had dance music and floor

Awful place. Heavy sexual harassment culture. Disgusting and deplorable staff. I visited on Saturday, August 12. I had two drinks and was cornered in the bar by three guys. I was able to push away and go outside, where I sat in the corner. A guy started talking to me, which he seemed nice but looks and appearances are always deceiving. I finished 3/4 of my drink and got a water from the bar. When I came back to him, I noticed I had almost half a drink. My drink had no ice in it, so I know he laced my drink. I casually dumped it out and the guy became unglued. I alerted the bar staff that there was a drink spiker in the bar drugging drinks. Several of them wouldnt address it and others stated What you expect me to do about it? I was positively stunned. It is in no way to state this bar condones this activity, but it is not state they will stop it either. You are on your own and bar staff is just there to serve drinks and make money.

I love this bar dearly. The people there are some of the most amazing people Ive ever met. I always enjoy my time everytime I step into this bar. This was the first gay bar Ive ever experienced and it has been a wonderful one. The music, the atmosphere, the drag shows, karaoke, the bartenders, an overall great time. I highly recommend you give this place a visit!

My decision to visit this place was out of curiosity. What I found were mostly middle-aged men in shorts, nursing drinks at the bar and gossiping like old women. I purchased an overpriced soda because I dont drink alcohol. Not a single person spoke to me though I nodded and was friendly. Should be called a sad bar. Not a gay person in the crowded.

Was visiting last week with my husband and good friend. They treated us like crooks using the bathroom because me and my hubby went in the stall together. Simply because there is one urinal and one stall. Did not like the way they treated us. What else would you expect from 3 gay men at a bar in an unfamiliar location! We were being safe sticking together. Not stocking each other. Had a blast at the bar 20 minutes away in St. Pete. & They didn’t treat us the same way this bar did!

Absolutely 100% recommend!! Im new to the area, and the staff at city side were very welcoming. The community is wonderful, the entertainment is feirce, the drinks are good and strong, and in the rare occasion that confrontation may occur, staff is quick to respond and assess your situation. I cant wait to return and see the lovely faces at city side again.

I stopped by City Side for a drink because it was close to my hotel. There is a large inside bar as well as an outside patio bar where smoking is permitted. Drinks are very reasonably priced. I had a great time! All the bartenders and local people I met were very friendly.

Amazing place to be. Recently moved to Tampa and was looking for a place lgbt focused. Todd was the most gracious, friendly and hospitable bar tender Ive had the pleasure to be served by in quite awhile. I just so happened to walk in on the night of the Drag Show Finals and boy was I not disappointed. The atmosphere was friendly, kind, and welcoming. Officially a regular after tonight 😍

The owner, Jim, made my first visit comfortable and welcoming despite my female gender stating everyone is welcome here. Karaoke was amazing with some talented entertainment. Jim has completed quality renovations and has plans to continue to improve the space. Bartenders were great. Enjoyable evening.

I have been visiting this place ones in a while for about 20 years or more, life change and the same with this place, is not welcoming anymore, I am referring about bartenders and customer. You walk at this bar and is small crowds that they just having fun, no interesting to make friends. Just a new bartender(who told me that he are been working there for the past 3 months) he was nice. Drinks like a Sex on the Beach is $5.00, the drag show is pathetic, and just after they finish the show, people start living the place. Majority of customer now are lesbian couples and no friendly age people. Last night I was there for half hour and after 2 drinks I left, my last try to have friends in this places.

This place is awesome! Super friendly staff, great drinks and the karaoke nights are amazing! My friends and I always felt welcome and have had great nights!

What can I really say? The bartenders know how to pour a drink!! Warm, inviting neighborhood bar with Incredibly friendly service. A little gem tucked away in southern Tampa. Definitely a great bar to hangout with friends without ever breaking the bank.

Great times. The bar tenders are great. The owner, Jim is a great person who really cares about everyone. Good neighborhood bar in afternoon, and more like a small club later at night. Theee bars, and two patios. The big one out back is very relaxing. Sundays there is a free cookout with Danny or Andy at the grill.

Comfortable well kept clean local watering hole. Not like many of your local South Tampa bars. This is not a dive bar! Great bartenders. The owner takes care of his patrons buy hosting great specials, theme nights and sporting events. Live entertainment on select nights.

Best place to visit if you’re looking for a good time. Always clean, great people and great music. Especially love doing karaoke out back in the sports bar.

Rude intolerant staff! I stopped in here yesterday around 3pm for happy hour which I have done many times in the past for the better part of ten Years after a hard days work in soho. I bough one drink and got my free drink chip. The first drink was ok, vodka and cranberry , I went to the rear patio to have a second drink using my free chip. The second drink was practically water. I had told the bartender that the drink was weak and I would pay extra for a stronger drink and I would throw in a good tip if he would kindly correct this...He said that I had enough to drink and I was henceforth cut off. For a place I had been visiting since my mid 20s and brining friends and business to, I will no longer be supporting this bar, and it brings me no pleasure to have to hang my hat on this decision, especially after all the good times and memories I have accumulated here. I wish things were different, but I will not tolerate such rude and blaton behavior from someone working here less time than I have been a loyal customer.

Ive been going to this club for years. On the rare occasions that I do go out its usually here. I use the patio bar as the music inside is too loud for my taste and I dont care for drag shows. The outside bar is geared more toward conversation instead of drag or karaoke. I recommend City Side. One of only 3 bars left in Tampa

My first time in Tampa and this was the first gay bar I went to in Tampa. When I tell you the bartenders are AMAZING, I mean it. I will definitely come back next time I’m in town. The bartender named Raven is the absolute BEST!

Very friendly and attentive bartenders. The entertainers would mingle with the patrons as if they are old friends! The night I visited the crowd was diverse, friendly & respectful. My next visit to Tampa will include another visit to City Side Lounge!

Went with my co-workers, loved Maestro HBs set. Cool bartender and partons. They also have a pool table. Affordable drinks and nice people! Itd be fun to go on a weekend and have Maestro spin some tunes.

Roberto & Jeff the Bartenders were Awesome Last Night 12/28/21..Made My Wife and I Comfortable in a Gay Bar, It was close to the Best Western so we wanted a Drink in Walking Distance and Found CITY SIDE, Very Clean, Very Good Drinks, Very Great People, Jeff Constantly Wiping And Cleaning the Bar Area, Roberto Pouring the Drinks and Conversion and Shot some Pool with some Locals the Only reason not a 5 star is Because we didnt eat there. Going Back Tonight for Karoke and Drinks..Drop the Label and Visit this Bar for Drinks and New Friends..

We always have a great time at City Side! There are always great drinks specials and good people watching.Pre-COVID there were events every night: drag shows, bingo, trivia, etc. They also have recently added food. The food isnt too bad! I enjoyed a pepperoni pizza during a BOGO Happy Hour.BONUS: Because they serve food, the bar is now NON-SMOKING!Raven is such a doll and a pleasure to talk to. City Side is a great bar to begin your night out, day drinking, or a way to end your evening!

This was a grate place to go to but i axadently went to the wrong event but it was still a pretty good experience.they had good pizza too and the soda and water was at a good price and the food was at a good price too.The guy with the glasses was really nice.i already paid him for my small pizza but i needed to pay him for my drinks and he said thats ok there on me that was so nice of him to do that.Also the long hair guy at the outside bar was really nice too he asked me if I needed anything a few times he even checked in on me asking me if I was having a good time that was very nice of him to do that as well.lastly the blond guy that had the backward bear community hat that loved all bears and cubs he was an otter he was really nice too we talked for a while before he went on shift so in all I had a good time

The entertainment is exceptional and major laughs .We played bingo and won great prizes.We recommend this casual atmosphere to everyone who enjoys having burgers and pizza and great drinks.

Stopped by after work for a cocktail and the smoke was the absolutely worse I’ve ever seen it. I was choking from it and had to walk back outside to catch my breath. I sat at a table as far away from the bar as possible just to finish my drink, and then I had to leave. It really wasn’t that busy, so it must have been all the chain smokers or the ventilation system not working.

Been 2 Sundays in a row. This is the most unfriendly bar I have ever been too from Las Vegas too NYC too Florida. The people have thier heads so far up their own a***s its pathetic...I ask the bartender (troll by the way) what was playing he said walking away rolling Stones station on pandora and ignored me the whole time and acted like he couldnt wait for me to leave. Might as well make this a private VP club and change the name from City Side to Shi**y Side....

Been patronizing this bar since 1981. Has become a hustler bar. Sad, bar doesnt care as long as cocktail is rung. Thrown out because I confronted being hustled at this bar. Not the only game in town.

Well called an uber to get there ..went in sat at the bar and I had a thermos cup..the bartender said I couldnt bring it in..I said u can empty it but Im not driving..he got real nasty and said I need to leave..so I told him I would leave when my uber came..I wasnt going outside being I was alone a lady and from north carolina..needless to say..please check reviews and the area

If you see the owner behind the bar then turn around and walk out. It will take forever to get a drink. Hire the people that pay attention to the all the customer not just the customers in the back of the bar.
