I bought tickets for Spoken Word Soul Train Anniversary Party. A total waste of time and money. I am a huge fan of Shelby Sol, so she was my attraction.Supposed to start at 9:16 BUT at 10:28,I am still waiting in car to be admitted. Long line at door with no movement.I left at 10:30. Poor organization. Not a good first impression. Will not be going back.I take a lost for the tickets 🤔😠 Really disappointed 😞

Im middle-of-the-road on this one. The place picks up around 11 PM. My friends and I are in the VIP section and the bottle service is pretty good. I order something other than what my friends are all having. I ask for a Long Island, top shelf. Its $15, plus I tip. The young lady receives a $20 and she leaves. THIRTY MINUTES LATER and no drink. I have to go find her. My drink had been sitting out for all that time. The bartender apparently was on her game, but my server was not. She apologizes and says shell have another made and bring it over. It never occurred. The moral of the story: order, then pay when your drink arrives. May not be back to this place.

Its fun place, best place to hangout with your friends, they have A for art F for fire event every 3rd Wednesday, its a fun event. So many local vendors and artist display their stuff.

Actually, this place was awesome. Good food too. Drinks were made well and everyone was friendly. Id go back for sure.

It was good. We were the first ones there today8:30pm. The guy at the door and the girls on the first floor bar were awesome, the music was fine but after three hours of playing the same stuff it got old. We went to the second floor for a change of music but the DJ was late, the music started to play until after 12am on the second floor. Overall good experience but with room for improvement. Ill be back!

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED. We purchased tickets for the Chris Brown after party & not only were we hit with an unexpectedly high parking fee $60-100 we also did not see Chris. Security was unable to clear the stage for him. How does that even make sense? He was posted up in a claustrophobic corner. This was obviously out of Chriss control so we cant be upset with him. This establishment is very unorganized and willing to take your money but not show you a good time. To say the least we will never return and unfortunately, we were cheated more ways than one.

First time I went here was when they were hosting the concert for Darrel. First off worst experience I’ve ever encountered and the ‘owner’ of the place is quite the owner I’ve ever met. I waited three hours in line with a group of my friends and had to leave to use the bathroom waiting for so long & went to the closest McDonald’s. When we returned the owner immediately accused me and my friends of lying about paying for our tickets because two of our friends stayed and went in by the time we returned. She didn’t even try to acknowledge the fact that I had the receipt on my phone and showed her it multiple times, instead she insisted on ignoring us and letting other people through the door. I asked her if she could just then refund us the money and my friends inside would leave as well as us who were outside and she refused to give us a refund. She started being rude and accusing us once again of lying & kept us outside for an extra 40 or so minutes. By the time we got in the concert only went on for about 40 mins before it was over. This place was a waste of my time and money.

Great vibe. Love the saxophone 🎷 turn up the mics on soft speaking poets and singers. I didnt try the food but the drinks were more alcohol then mixers. Enough parking space

0 stars. Do not pay to come to any concert here! They falsely advertise! VIP is not VIP at all! Its the same as regular! We paid, and we are still outside as the concert is GOING ON!! I did not pay to stand outside and hear the concert!Do not come here and do not support their business!! They are scammers! They arent enough staff to accommodate their clients which shows poor management and organization! In other words, they have no f-ing idea what they are doing! They wish they were the bottom of the barrel! They are the scum underneath it!

Smoking words on Thursday is a beautiful environment. The lady to male ratio is always on point.

Tried to come here tonight to shoot pool for my birthday. I used to love this place but not anymore. It was drizzling outside and we politely asked the bouncer if there was a cover and if the pool table was open. Unfortunately instead of the bouncer answering us back, we were greeted with complete hostility and rudeness by the owner who identified himself by walking out of the parking lot. He aggressively asked us whats the problem here?! There was absolutely no problem! And we came with absolutely no hostility! We were trying to come out for the first time in months and to support local business! This was disgusting behavior. Im so disappointed and offended. I will never come back. If you do go, expect to be treated like youre breaking into a bank instead of trying to PAY to have a fun night out.

I went for Novacanes Smoken Words erotic night and had an amazing time. All of the bartenders were so kind and attentive. Everyone I encountered including the Emcee were welcoming and so nice. I cant speak about any of the other nights during the week but Thursdays are where its at

May 28, overall HORRIBLE experience. We purchased 4 VIP tickets which indicated doors open at 8:00 pm. It was after 9 pm that doors opened. The VIP is a scam there is no VIP area what so ever. The place was overcrowded, I even wonder if the fire Marshall ever goes in to inspect this business. The people were climbing on furniture and completely obscuring the view of everyone behind. I was very upset because one of the security officers took my seat and i went to ask for it he was very rude started yelling and cursing at me and my husband. I saw how he grabbed a guy by the neck and escorted him out of this place. I believe customers deserve better treatment. I wonder who is overseeing the kind of business this is. I even saw the bartender serving alcohol to a minor and the reason i know its because minors had clear wristbands on both hands. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL!! We were lucky we walked out alive!!

If it wasnt for the bartender DiMera I would have given less stars. She is the only one that made us feel welcome. We were in VIP and had to tip the waitress before she would acknowledge us, let alone serve us. Fun crowd, good music. But get happier people to serve your customers.. i was going to leave but the outside bartender was awesome. Will never use VIP again.

I was there tonight for the Carlos Torres event and this was absolutely terrible! They made us wait almost 3 hours outside to let us in and a line out of control. It was apparent that the security was only letting in a couple of people at a time for no reason. My mother was pushed during the meet and greet and if it wasnt for Carlos Torres and his staff she would have never made it. Also, a security personnel with a cowboy hat was amazing! He made sure my mother got priority and walked her down the stairs until she was safely down the stairs. Whiskey North shame on you for having an event that was so disorganized and literally dangerous. There were a couple of guests that fainted due to the terrible conditions. I will never step foot again in your location and I will be calling the city so they inspect your space for safety!

Whiskey North has ample space for dancing. Two floors means more music variety for those who wish not to be tied down to only one music genre. The crowd seemed a little old but when you are there for the music and dancing, does it really matter? What I liked most was that it had enough people but not so crowded that you feel like a sardine in a can. This made my experience even better. Drink prices are comparable with other venues and they have known artist have concerts here. I like this place.

We loved Latin night on Fridays but this last time everything had changed and not for the good. Its now a totally different clientele, no dance floor due to many more tables, hookah, half dressed bartenders, just a complete cluster. Wont be back and definitely letting friends know not to waste their time.

Spent $700 for a VIP to have an Artist perform, paid an additional $60 per person even with having VIP already. According to management nothing is included but a table and 2 cheap $20 bottles.Place was suppose to open at 9.Didnt open until 12am.Artist never was able to perform, asked for a refund and was told I had to contact owner. Contacted owner and got hung up on.According to them, none of them were responsible for anything that happen that night and I was basically robbed out of 1k. Never going again.Oh, and you have to pay for parking from $50 to $100. Place was not at ALL worth it.Lack of Communication.Lack of Professionalism.Just extremely disappointed.BELIEVE ALL BAD RATINGS!!

The food was really good... service mediocre! The ran out of beer only one brand, and my table I paid $125.00 became the table to drop off your drinks! Not impressed for sure. No paper towels to dry hands in womens washroom. You need to do a little work people... need way better for $25.00 tip!

They have a decent bar. I went for a bollywood party there and Im not sure the set up they had is permanent, but it wasnt impressive.The DJ was good, so we had fun.

The bartender is absolutely terrible. we were in on 8:28, and before the place filled up with people, it took forever to get a drink. the brunette bartender seemed to be on something and incapable of keeping up with making drinks - she was incapable of taking more than 1/2 drink orders. nobody was here when we first came in, and it took forever to get a drink - and there were not many patrons around. the service was absolutely terrible. as a bartender, this was just pure bs and i would kick her off of my bar if i had to work with her. she must have it in with management - as in having a special relationship. if anyone truly believes she has bartending capabilities, let’s discuss that. otherwise, she may have an off night - but that’s not an excuse. its your job. be better.

We were told to be there by 7:30 because the show we were going there for started at 8:00. We arrived at 7:30. The music was really loud, which was okay. However, it was very hot and uncomfortable. We left at 8:20 p.m. and the show still had not started. What a waste of my money.

Terrible, overcrowded place. We went for a special event and it was horrible. People climbing on furniture and completely obscuring the view for everyone behind. Also the staff kept yelling and cussing at people because they could not get past them. Maybe theu shouldnt overcrowd then ! We got pushed and stepped on way too much and not to mention the VIP isnt worth it. They try to scam you with pricing so you can sit with the rest of the crowd. Not worth it, never going back.

We came here for a male revue which was a fantastic show. The club did not amount to anything afterwards, which surprised us for a Saturday night, and we sadly left. The drinks were strong and the food was hot, although very pricey (I am not from the area so I cant speak to comparables). The bar/club is beautiful. Staff was very friendly. If we are back, Ill gladly come see the male revue show again here. (Docked a star because the club did not have a lot of traffic, which was a disappointing end to our ladies night)

Wednesday could never be better. Between 1$ drink and free entry till 10 there is no better spot to be on a Wednesday. The bartenders are very cute and helpful when breaking down the menu. Although the wing could be a bit bigger the fries which are bountiful and delicious make up for it

I am visiting on vacation down here in Tampa and I must say I was impressed with Whiskey North. Tursday night is a great night to be in the building. I really enjoyed myself last night at poetry night it was awesome. I want to give a happy shout out to everyone that got on stage. Enjoyed it all.

Charging $50 for some miscellaneous talent? Pass. Been here before, interior outdated. Dusty cables hanging and sound mediocre to overwhelming. Long waits for drinks. Try again but not soon.

This place is a joke. The club plans multiple events in one night and you have to pay for each event in order to stay in the club or security will literally kick you out before you finish your drink. The Staff leaves you standing outside in the cold even though they say they open at a certain time. The bouncers/security are just plain rude. High cover charges.. super high drink prices. We brought to the manager how rude the bouncer was to us and he literally turned and walked away without a care about our concerns. I will not be going to or recommending this place to anyone. Very bad customer service.

Went there last night for male review for a bachelorette party. We were told to show up at 6:45 pm, escorted to a very small space upstairs because they had bigger event coming in later that night, no where did it say it on website. Alot about show us the money which we all paid $30.00 to get in already) before any clothes went off at 8:00 pm. Show over at 9:00. Drinks were over price $13.00 for small rum & coke.

Enormous disappointment. Website said salsa dancing at 7pm. Arrived 7:41 place is locked up tight as a drum. Drove almost an hour for the special Friday night salsa dance. Not as advertised. Way smaller then expected. Would give zero stars if possible.

DONT BOTHER WITH THIS CLUB! I had spoke to Jason who couldnt get the website correctly updated, then he told me there was a cover chrg $12.61 to be exact, and that drinks were $1, that was a lie. They over crowded themselves over the limit of guess allowed in the club. Thats a hazard, and everyone in the whole club was smoking marijuana and rolling it up on the bar. Sex was going on ever where in the open. Next to walls, upstairs every where! It was more of a freak show than a club, the atmosphere inside you couldnt breathe either, manager is rude and dont care. I will NOT recommend this club to anyone!!! The only good thing was the bartender Olivia, she was attentive and sweet. She knew well her mixes! Everything else was the worst.

Ive been coming here for years! Even after not passing by for a couple years they still are trendy and have a awesome night life! I visit the club this past weekend because it was my bachelorette party! They have a male revues on Friday and sometimes Saturdays Plus happy hour downstairs! I went with a group of about 15 or more of us for a going a way party on a Saturday night. We have VIP and bought a couple bottles about 10 mins after the bottles arrived the music stoped and lights came on that the bar was over it was around 12am not counting that the place was empty. I do not recommend it at all bad experience.

On the flyer said $10 cover, my cousins were in town from New York, I talk highly about this place never been before, when we got there, the places ust opened. We got there early; they told us $35 each, like reallyHopefully, next time, the company will put out the correct information so that people will know. That was embarrass

My friend and I have been planning for a long time to come here. When we finally did, I was highly disappointed. The flyer for First Saturday- Sink or Swim mentioned $10 cover INCLUDING all you can drink wells. It also mentioned $5 top shelf drinks. We payed $10 unknowingly thinking it would get us all you can drink. We order two vodka with sour mix drinks that came up to $10 each! They expected us to pay $20 to enjoy all you can drink. They posted a flyer on their website that not only misleading but totally wrong from what it actually is. Plus, the whole club was dead. No one in there except a group for a birthday. It was empty.

Great place! The scenery was nice but the people were even better! I was able to interact with a few staff members and they were all more than pleasant.

They have a 10 dollar cover, no military discounts on food or drinks. I purchased the 5 OZ lobster ( exactly that)w/ Mac & Cheese ( didnt like or eat). Drinks were 12 and they had Erotic Nights stand up open mike ( very talented ladies). Overall I wasnt a fan for the driving I had to do

The place is alright, goos side about is the variety of music and drinks and it does get pretry active. But 1 thing i really dislike how they charge ppl $10 for wearing a hat!!!! What??!!! I attended a wing crush event at this club and had a terrible experience. My friend and I were maliciously thrown out because of a girl who likes her ex who happens to work at the club. My friend showed me the girl and she then falsely accused us of pushing her I guess after seeing us looking at her and we cooperated and exited the club when the guard she told came to us; but later the owner actually allowed us back in. However, there was one guard who she kept going back to (not sure if there are seeing each other) and this guard used more than a reasonable amount of force to push me out of the club , while I was walking out ; to the extent I had a back injury and I was in pain until the next day. Just wanted to share my story to patrons to be careful when attending this club , also there was shooting after the event outside. This club does not only have unprofessional employees but it is seemingly unsafe. They dont seem to check if accusations are accurate , despite the fact they have cameras in the club. I am not one to be impartial so ill give thumbs up for their good wings and fries though, I got Honey BBQ, only good thing that came out of my visit. Long story ,short I will not be in attendance at this club again , to those who do attend be careful and be safe.

Bouncer ripped my necklace off during “light pat down” took another dude’s chain off. Super hostile. Dudes in the parking lot made up a paid parking system for a public parking lot. $2 for a cup for water to fill up in the bathroom (illegal). This place should’ve been shut down when da baby punched a woman in the face.

I go here every Thursday night for Smoken Words! This is one of the few places in Tampa you can sign up and perform your music or Poetry. On 1st Thursday they have Erotic night so perfect for date night! They also have an Open Jam every last Thursday with a live band. Huge shout out to Novacane for always providing this platform for up and coming artist!

Horrible...not worth $10...The are playing music upstsirs and downstairs but no walls to stop acoustic so..you can NOT enjoy either side or music because they get mixed in...Upstairs reggae and r&b n bachata and salsa down but unable to understand either..drinks were horrible.Not mixed right...DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME NOR MONEY..Not the same Whiskey North Latin nights..AT ALL...NOT EVEN WORTH A STAR...I wanted to dance and nope...😫😫

Poor security & management, showed up for DaBaby concert. They had a issue with clearing the stage so he can perform. Things got heated and he left. Definitely not worth the money.

Terrible place it was not like it use to be it is a nasty place dont know what happened to it. You cant have two different types of music drowning out each other. The clientele were very shady.

Its a cool place to dance and hangout, but the drinks r too expensive.. Drinks can b more reasonable. And when they give u mixed drinks u dont really taste the alcohol. Service can b better. .

It haa has the bones to be a great spot. Its nice & open. Bartenders are awesome. Dance floor is great DJs need work. They dont do a hteat job reading the club. Poor choices so there are lulls in dancing & good music.

A nuisance to the community. The security staff are highly untrained and overall the place has went down since I first began going. Constant fights and attitudes not fun like it used to be.

The first floor is very spacious for plenty of people to dance, especially when they play latin music such as Salsa and Bachata. The 2nd floor is not as spacious and there’s not as much air conditioning as there should be (at least in my opinion) when the dance floor is overwhelmed with patrons. But then again... that defines a night club haha.

Went here with a bunch of girls for a birthday party it was ok... we had one server and it was 15 of us it could have been alot better... it took probably 30 minutes to get our bottomless mimosas and one of the girls didnt even get her food we were there for 3 hours... no one complained to management and i dont think we will go back.

Expensive, watered down drinks that took forever to get. Pushy bathroom attendants demanding tips. Did not feel safe/comfortable. Would never go back or recommend anyone else do so.

Friday Latin night is dead on this place. We never know when they decide to put those awfull tables in middle of the dance floor. Honestly, go to Amorama guys, there salsa bachata dance is always garanteed

Dancing, food, drinks, pool and live performances. I think this place was awesome and worth the visit. Unfortunately, there isnt enough parking for the amount of people that can fit in a club with two floors.

I do outside security there, for the most part its chill, and no issues. Every now and then we have to encourage people to leave and go home, depending on who is the guest DJ or artist.

During the hottest week of the year was told no entry because I wasnt wearing pants. Its summer in Florida, its a club nothing special and they want you to wear pants. Also a 20 dollar cover for some djs, what a rip off.

Anazing experience. Its a great night out and fun for all the ladies. Whether its a bachelorette party, divorce party, girls night out...these men are here to entertain you. They bring the audience into the show. Magic Mike has nothing on these guys!!

They were charging $40 to park on the left side and $100 on the right LOL mind you a few years back it was open parking for anyone considering it’s public parking. It’s full of young people who are just there over charging, don’t let them hustle you.

This place is trash, went to the Casper magico concert got VIP waited for 3 hours for this dude to perform while he was chillin at the DJ booth, went downstairs to get a better view then went back upstairs they told us we couldn’t go to the VIP section we payed for because it was closed and it wasn’t even 1 a.m yet “ close at 3 “ even though we payed and bought drinks they still closed it and had us stay dowstairs, you would think they want people to enjoy the so called concert and have a nice time but nah this place is embarrassing wouldnt suggest it to no one it’s a rip off.

Very rude short Latin door guy in the front named Germ(we had to get is name from the front because he refused to give it to us) that didnt correctly check IDs because my friend and I switched them on purpose because he is mongo and let us right in que bobo! He also let people behind us go first because he said they were fam! It was supposed to be free before 12 which was a lie because we were in line still.

Unless you go on a non bus night in a large planned group-ghetto. be prepared for fights in the parking lot. and damaged cars. and their dress code is implemented randomly

Worst bar ever! They kept you in line for no reason so you go and pay to enter VIP. Inside is bad distribution of space, you not able to see even the dance floor. Bad and old music, bad DJ. Beer NOT cold

Dont come here, this is the worse place I had ever been, they charge me $80 at the door I was tell it was open bar and then it wasnt I was inside for 15 minutes and found out that a group is going to play So I went back and asked for my money back they said they cant because I was inside for 20 minutes. This is the perfect location to party out to hip hop and Latin music in the north tampa area. There is always a great time there and the staff is awesome!
