Just an absolutely incredible place with great staff, selection and prices. We got to see a wonderful drag show and dance for the rest of the night. It is everything you could expect and hope for from a Tucson staple. It really helped to make us feel included in the community. The patio area is pretty epic and the district is unparalleled. Looking forward to a regular appearance at karaoke night.

We came in a large group for a fun night. A man in the bar was touching us and stalking. We went to Tanya and she made us feel so comfortable and safe. Such a welcoming and loving environment. Thank you Tanya for keeping us safe!!! You are amazing. Will be back. Happy Pride 💕

Didnt even know they served food but pretty sure most of us going here are going to eat. That aside there is always good music to dance to, some cute go go boys, and the bartender in the outside bar with the braces is a perfect flirt but also makes good drinks. Be sure to slip some bills in his cute undies. 😈

You lost a customer as I went to your club on a Friday night set my gin and tonic down to take a picture with the Divas and low and behold the crew threw out my drink and kept the 5 dollar bills I was going to use for the strippers . I went to the bartender who was unhelpful and unfortunately had to pay another 7 dollars for another drink . I ended up spending 25 dollars which was unnecessary. Never ever again will I set foot in your club . Terrible customer service!!!!

First and last time here. Stopped in Sunday afternoon 106° out and the bartender couldn’t be bothered with us (or anyone else who wanted a drink). Too busy doing his own thing - customers can go f themselves apparently Bye Felicia! Just as bad as Brodies service-wise

IBTs is a local LGBT bar. I like going to this bar for the drag shows. Those are always a good time. This bar gets a little too crowded sometimes which makes it not as fun. They do have indoor and outdoor dance floors & bars which is nice. If you are looking for a busy place to party downtown, you might want to check out IBTs.

Well make sure you have a masculine person so you can get a drink!Just like the 1950s you need a man or masc to be able to be served and not have the bartender roll his eyes when you would just like a drink. I am not sure if I am the only femme that gets this service from gay bars, but this seems to be a common factor when going to a gay bars. If there was a place I could go to get away from gay men so they can gatekeep their spaces, I would. But since usually gay males dominate these spaces that are the only the gay spaces that exist, I am forced to go to go to these places to be able to feel comfortable with my wife. So since we all have to co-exist, PLEASE, tell your staff to treat everyone equal no matter what is between their legs and play better music.Sincerely,A woman who lives in 2024 not 1954

Meh I mean there is no other Opened minded bar/club in town karaoke nights and show nights can be fun butt theyre lacking a better DJ and it should always have a DJ on Deck and play a better selection of music not everybody is trying to listen to Old pop and bubble gum electronic music sometimes it can get lit and be fire with some DJs bar tenders could be friendly only one there that his is Josh hes great the rest could work on their attitude drink promos are good but def has to have some innovations done to it we have so much space it could even close the parking lot in the back make.it a pool or dance floor

IBT was exactly what I needed. A great atmosphere, phenomenal music, Kareoke night was a hit, and Zach the bartender made this out of tower feel right at home. Go check it out!

Was coming in from out of town with the friends to explore and I felt like this was a fun place to finish the night with we were there probably too early at 10 PM on the Friday night. The crowd was a little thin, but later on people were dancing.

Great staff and location. Mixed crowd and fun events. Drag shows, game shows, karioke and big outside dance party area .

Update...03/05/2022This place has gone into the trash. rude, inexperienced bartenders cannot make a good drink to save their lives. security is a joke. Outdated interior, bars do not look like this anymore. The owners have obviously lost the will to run this establishment. I met some people inside that were bragging about being under age and not being carded. Maybe if your fresh 21 (or younger as it seems) this might be your scene. But if you have any taste, you will go somewhere else. We had one drink and booked the hell out of there. I was there on a Friday night so maybe the day crew is better, but unfortunately I will not be finding out.Update... 3/17/17341 on Mondays and karaoke

First and foremost I was a bit skeptical because of the reviews but I went anyway; I must say, this place was very enjoyable. I am not sure if people are posting fabricated stories on here to hurt IBTs business but it is very odd that on those same posts they are advertising other bars. Seems intentional; On the other hand, the bartenders were great. The DJ had everyone dancing. And the place did not look trashy or anything like people have stated.Maybe I visited after the improvements were made, which is even more of a reason to go since that means they listen to the critiques and make changes. Bottom line, I recommend this place, and I also recommend experiencing places for yourself since it is hard to tell if a review is legit these days; I would definitely visit again.

This place has become such an utter disgusting place to go to. You’re treated poorly, drinks aren’t good, and it’s not even safe anymore. They used to be so fun and such a cool place to hangout. Really it’s just a toxic setting and most people that come here including my friends and I just feel like a burden to the staff? It’s like they don’t like their jobs and don’t want people to be there. I’m sorry, you’re in the service industry and if you’re just sucking at catering to customers you’re in the wrong job!!! Save your money and go elsewhere. This place needs new employees with a new mindset. Totally not somewhere my friends and I will go anymore.

I just saw their Sunday show hosted by princess Prozac. She was amazing, the other queens were amazing. I especially enjoyed Venus. She is so gorgeous and nice and even helped me find the bathroom. This was my first drag show and I had an amazing time. By the way I left my number at the bar for Princess Prozac. If you see this please give me a call if youre looking for a drag queen to fill a free spot. I sat in the front with the blonde, beehive wig.

Omg what a great croud ... so much love from family ... but i am sorry get a real dj or have the dj stick to a dance music playlist ... i have a great one from boys town if u need one ... i have seen the dance floor go from nill to zill .. it feels like i am off my bipolar meds again... just saying u have a great crowd .. but take ur meds and balance!

I used to love coming here but it has become a hostile environment for me and friends. Even friends of mine who don’t know each other say the same thing about that bartender treven. He is consistently rude after midnight. Rude to anyone that doesn’t tip well enough, and rude to anyone that might be a tad too drunk (it’s a bar). The owner also just sits near the exit and stares at people in a rude fashion!!! I’ve seen one other review about that too, just seems like a lot of the bartenders hate their job here and unfortunately it leads to a toxic environment, and as a recovering addict I wouldn’t recommend coming here….. unless you want to relapse with the staff lol they also took advantage of me one day and over-served me… and it lead to me getting jumped on 4th. Don’t spend your hard earned money here. Wayy better places downtown, I was also verbally attacked by this employee Last night at IBTs because of this review as well. Someone really needs to get a handle on him. Lol

The bartender was decent but the DJ prioritizes white patrons and displayed blatantly racist behavior toward my friends and I tonight 12/17/23. We wanted to sing Karaoke and he refused to allow us to request songs when another person offered to let us use the app. When we asked why given the other customer offered, he gave a run around and essentially stated he wouldn’t be playing anything we requested. There are not many places where queer folx can comfortably let loose, but if you are black, I’d suggest you keep looking because IBT’s def ain’t one of em 🙃

This place fronts as a gay bar and safe space but only caters to straights, white twinks, and white people. Black people have been charged extra for drinks, ignored and passed over, accused of being violent and even having weapons on them. From the bartenders, to security, to management they have made older folks, Black queers, and transgender patrons feel unsafe and unwelcome. They have even thrown Black activists out for being “violent” for questioning how they were being treated inside the establishment. The owner and management refuse to address these issues. Besides underpaying its employees and overworking them; I guess I’d have room to be racist, ageist, ableist, and transphobic.It’s 2023. If you wanted just the Log Cabin gays just put it on the sign. Do better.

Lets NOT normalize drugs. Drag queen Princess Prozac? Really? Theres cocaine being sold in bulk amounts by your queens. No security doing their job. I dont feel safe here. Its sad that the biggest queer bar isnt a good place to be. If you cared about our community the owner would clean this place up. Unfortunately its gone on for years!

This is one of my favorite safe 🏳️‍🌈 spaces in Tucson. I have spent many wonderful nights dancing the night away! We play trivia on Tuesdays and the food is honestly way better than one would think being more of a club. I totally reccomend this place, anytime. Diva is amazing so is Trevin the bartender.

SO MUCH FUN with Tempest DuJour!!! She was SO SWEET to my friend who has cancer, and included her flawlessly!!!! Tempest has a natural, quick wit that is perfect for a game show! A nice gentleman even escorted us to our vehicle! Thanks so much! We appreciate you IBT friends!!!♥️

Oh IBTs... How you continue to stay in business is rather mind-boggling! I have recently visited the bar after not going for over a decade and it sure HAS NOT changed at all. That is not a good thing! The building itself is falling apart. DJs play the same early 2000s techno and hip hop every time we are there. Bartenders are slow, rude, and cannot mix a proper drink to save their lives. Sound system has blown speakers that crack and rattle the whole time. Food is absolute trash and brought into the business through the front door from outside? Not sure where it is being made...What really bothers me about this business is the lack of security. With this being a bar for the LGBTQ community, the security needs to be top notch in order to protect your patrons. I feel completely unsafe and know that if something where to happen in the bar, everyone would be in danger! One guy inside, sitting on a chair, tucked in the corner, at least 15 feet from the door is not stopping anyone willing to come in to do harm!

This is the best place to go dancing any night of the week since I work on the weekends its a godsend and the people who work there are really nice. If you didnt happen to notice already, its a gay bar and also has some funny (and nice) drag shows before they open up the second dance floor later in the night.

Bartender on the patio was incredibly rude. I went with 4 other people. The plan was to take turns buying rounds. First person who bought apparently didn’t tip (idk how accurate this is tbh) and for that reason the bartender refused to serve ME because I was associated with them. Claiming he doesn’t serve non tippers. Paying with a completely different card and I am my own person. Horrible first experience

This place has gone down hill... yes they remodeled the patio which is nice BUT the DJs are horrible, one remixes every song to death and the other plays nonsense. It used to be a place to let loose and dance but now everyone just stands around... the only thing that attracts me to the place is the drag show.

Honestly girls seem to have a way worse experience than all the guys. Bartenders are the worst. Literally. Super stuck up and rude. Wish I could I have negative star ratings. Native Tucsonan and sadly it’s always been this way as long as I’ve been going.

I went with my friends this evening. I have gone multiple times and have loved it. Unfortunately tonight I experienced a form of prejudice. My friends and I were in line and after I had presented my I.D, The bouncer decided to give me a sobriety test. I was confused but proceded with the procedure. As I thought it was a new policy, I then proceded to continue with my other two friends who bought drinks. I was confused because they did not have to complete their new “policy” as well did my friends after me. I started to feel uncomfortable as this has not happened to be and my friends and I decided to leave. On the way out the bouncer asked if I “found my I.D??? Obviously I did otherwise why was I able to enter the club? I felt I was discriminated and felt I was not wanted. I am writing this 30 minutes or so after the incident. I would like to formally talk to management after this event. This is not okay and I do not appreciate the fact that I was the only African American who was alienated, even though my friends ( who were white) were not tested. I never want this to happen again want to make sure this never happens again because I live to support the LGBTQ+ (and is a part of the LGBTQ* community)club who accepts people who feel “less than” because they are different.

Doormen don’t know what they are doing. Stated one of our state ID’s that we use to fly was a fake and needed the cops to verify (TSA have no issues). We also just visited San Diego and had no issues. Happened to people in front of us. When we questioned that the machine might be faulty as one of our ID’s was fine the doorman didn’t have a response. We are in our 40s and had to prove with our Instagram we weren’t lying to get the ID given back to us. We would’ve had the cops verify but it was extremely embarrassing as they did this in front of the bar that we left straight away. Don’t bother going here, not worth the hassle. Doorman was a joke and needs retraining. It’s a shame as we wanted to support the local gay bar.

Great time at the drag show!!! The Queens were awesome! Maybe control the volume a bit better on the speakers and microphones because at some points I actually felt a need to cover my ears. Next time I come I may bring ear plugs to help me enjoy the show easier. Besides the intense volume in such a small space it was great.

Dopest club in Tucson since I moved here in the last several years. Gentleman named Sirus is a great greeter and security member although the entire staff flipped from summer of 2021 to 2022 as a matter of fact ALL of the new staff members are awesome. Nice to be here and will be coming back especially since school is in session. €00D +!M3$ M@π!!!! 😱

Love this place they have the Greatest drags shows and Security and bartenders are amazing there is only one thing about Ibts that karaoke app they need to download new music. They have nothing but old music they have to have like Jenni Rivera or Ramón Ayala or grupo firme the only thing I see they need to upgrade the music come on IBTS I guarantee if you guys upgrade your music, people will show up to sing

I found this bar after a while of been in this city and the two times Ive been there the bartenders have been awfully rude. I worked as a barback and I know well what brings the customers back to spend some Money on the location, not to mention tips. I purchased 2 seats for a table for drag brunch. I arrived late and the security guard was nice and let us go to the bar to get our Drink that comes with the purchase of the seats/table. They kept questioning me about the table even after I showed them the QR codes , the confirmation email and the receipt. I felt uncomfortable honestly. I think customer service could use some training. Tbh this place was a let down.

So far the best place to go dancing on Friday and Saturday nights! They have go-go dancers on Thursdays and some Fridays. Monday is 3-for-1 drinks, but you have to listen to the karaoke... I havent tried the food, but heard great things about it. You can get a mini pitcher of Blue Moon for under $7 any day. Loads of fun if youre looking to go out dancing!Try their Donkey Punch, Gay Punch, or the Sexy Blue Jesus!

Don’t recommend this place at all. Yes they can make great drinks, but are the rudest people I’ve encountered in a bar setting downtown. Bartenders seem to take their frustrations out on customers. Not worth it. My friends and I will not return here again and have our night ruined.

Went for karaoke and the DJ pushed every one of our groups songs to the back of the list so his friends could sing back to back repeatedly. When we asked politely when we were up the staff became hostile and pushed my female friend over and told her she needed to leave. When walking out we were verbally abused disappointed that this type of behavior is still around in this day and age!

I came here on Halloween blackout dr*nk and got let in (don’t even remember coming in Halloween night) but was denied entry January 10th, 2023 because I was cold and shivering as a result. Great security!

This is the largest LGBT bar on 4th Avenue and Congress. They have excellent specials and they make the best use of the limited space they have. The inside gets super hot and gross during the summer and they dont circulate the air. The outside can get dangerously crowded on the weekends.3 for 1 on Mondays with karaoke. Most weekends have a small cover. Sundays no-cover drag shows. THIS BAR IS PAINFULLY LOUD! BRING EARPLUGS!Most importantly... TIP YOUR BARTENDER!

The dance floor is always filled with people on the weekend. I love it! They also have regular drag shows with incredible performers. On my way right now!

IBTs is fun!! the drinks are strong, the service is reasonably fast, its poppin at night; and they have shows pretty much every day. we saw the best drag show weve ever seen here which MUST mean they get 5 stars right? right??

I went to a drag show with my partner, and I found a peace that I have never known. It was like, first time in my life, I could just love who I love without anybodys judgement.The vibes were right.

I was speaking to the owner, Mike, when I noticed he was staring down at his drink on the bar. When he did respond it was very short and still wouldnt look at me. Finally I asked him if he was upset with or bother by me. He asked why to do think that. I told him that Ive noticed he doesnt look at me, and he has always been very curt with me. I can still hear this like it was yesterday. He said, What benefit would it be to me to know you? I will never patronize his business again. He is a detestable individual and completely undeserving of your business! Try Brodies or Venture N.

If you support local drag artist then please tag IBTs in this. One of their lead performers is threatening to other performers for being in another show. Queer artist are already underpaid and have a hard time with bookings. So why should they be penalized for doing other shows? This is unfair and disgusting behavior.

This is a great place to go when you are not constantly worried about being harassed by the head of security/bouncers. The man is completely unprofessional and biased towards certain patrons. My friend who is a regular, and well liked by the employees and even the various hosts, has been escorted out of the bar with no explanation on more than one occasion. Yes I will also say in full disclosure that he has also been escorted out for his level of intoxication a small number of times. However, this man (to be visually clear he is the bouncer with the very thick glasses and usually wearing a communications ear piece) seems to find some outlandish reason to kick my friend out of the bar most nights. At this point it seems that the actions of this man towards my friend is more of a personal vendetta than a business or liability decision. One might even argued that it is borderline harassment or even discrimination. But I honestly feel that this goes beyond my friend. I have been reading the reviews and it seems that there are various issues with this bouncer. I have come across the words rude, misogynistic, dismissive, unprofessional (as I have also stated) and much more. I could only hope that for the sake of the customers, myfriend included, and the reputation of this establishment that the actions and conduct of this man are taken into serious review.In all honesty, I know this isnt the most appropriate way to express this complaint. But there are no other avenues. I searched the website and it would seem this is the only way to even possibly get this message through.

One of my favorite places to go with the girls but hasn’t been the same since Anthony left! He really changes the whole vibe and was definitely someone that made the night better! Sad to see him gone!

Great place to dance on the crowded floor late into the night! Love the energy. Music is usually good but very, very loud. I wear silicon ear plugs all night and it is still loud.

Food was better than the host the night I went. She was a bit intense and taking shots every 2 minutes. 🤣 Awesome drag show though.

They aren’t trans friendly at all. They will police your perceived gender waiting in line at the “wrong” bathroom and threaten to kick you out.

It was News Years Eve and we were trying to get our drinks before the countdown. Bartender was too busy flirting with someone behind me. This other person he was flirting with leaned over to give him a New Years Kiss in the middle of our transaction and to make matters worse, spilled my partners drink. Bartender was rude and said would not replace it for us although he still had our credit card on hand. He was the rudest bartender ever. Oh well. Hopefully IBTS is a thing of the past for the LGBT community in Tucson and everyone heads to H20 from now on. I know me and my friends are!!

Great experience!

Terribly loud pulsing music every night of the week. Patrons are loud and disturb the neighborhood. This establishment has no respect for the surrounding community. The alley behind their business is littered with trash from their overflowing dumpsters. If you are going to go out on 4th Ave, support a business that is respectful of the community it is supposed to be a part of.

Literally went here for the first time. Nervous to go in but excited. I waited for my partner to use the bathroom and there was a fist fight right in front of me, just dragging me in apparently. Evidently, I am a prime target to get hated and dragged into a fist fight in the initial minutes of walking in.

I was at IBTs Halloween night. Bartenders are very friendly, Entertainment was also friendly except for one person. She sat next to me (distant space with masks on) and I had.no clue she was part of the entertainment. She was a cold fish lets just say that and far from friendly to a white girl. I will return.

Unfortunately, I had my own encounter with James the head of security. He is so aggressive, disrespectful and infantile! IBTs should be ashamed of having James represent their business and I feel so sorry for the other employees that have to work with him! If IBTs employed people with customer service skills they may attract more business. I should have read the reviews before taking my friend who was visiting from out of town, we would have went elsewhere.

Was a fun gay bar near the University of Arizona. Had a great drag show with very friendly bartenders and patrons. A great outdoor patio for dancing and socializing as well!

I spoke to Thomas over the phone. I havent gone yet, but I will be tonight; Ill edit this review or add another one once I visit. He was extremely helpful and sweet; and was knowledgeable enough to answer my questions effectively. He also sounded really sweet. :D Im really writing this just because I wanted to write a review, which Ive never done before.

Went for a bachelorette party and had an absolute blast!!! Good drinks, good show, and wonderful bartenders! Not to mention the amazing show!! 10/10! I plan on returning often!!

They play same sorry old music seems every time I go they play back in the day buffet if you decide go your going to hear Whitney Huston I want to dance with somebody, ying yang twins get low, selena bidi bidi bom bom , suavemente , celia cruz, fat man scoop put your hands up and many other more that they have programmed to play every weekend they seriously need a new dj! I can over look the run down place if they would play good music its cool to play old music once in a while but seriously chnge it up once in a while the community will appreciate it

Well, to be honest, this club could be fun if the DJ stopped to think that there are no little girls turning 13. Its a gay club. Play music thats conducive to the clientele...

Friendly and trendy gay bar. Its been here for years and is always packed on weekends. Dancing too, open to all people of all lifestyles.

The fog machines are too much it makes people congested the loss of your voice & dry throat is the symptoms we gets its a cool affect but its harsh please time it down the new flames along the back outside wall is a awesome touch 🌈

Its great if your straight, or bicurious, it has turned into this weird place where straight couples go to look for other women, frankly its tough enough finding a place where gay people can just be, but out of ten girls that I talked to ten were straight and some even got offended that I was hitting on them, like wow if your not a lesbian chic or a gay guy at the very least be polite and say your straight, ibts is no longer a gay bar not sure what it is, music is great, prices are good overall its hasnt changed just the people that go there, someday it will be just another bar on 4 th

Just had the Shrimp basket and Quesadillas, very good. Also love the Chicken strip basket. My fave is the Shrimp Po-Boy.

Security guard attacked me and broke my phone last weekend. I did call the police and file a criminal report will never return there again its crazy

Horrible out dated music its ok to play back in the day buffet but not all night the place is in serious need of a good dj, plus bathrooms are super smelly

We came for the Sunday drag show, but the painfully loud music drove us away before we could buy drinks.

Tonight was my first time there and i will definitely coming back great staff great music 😘
