Johnsons Tampa

I just celebrated my birthday at Johnson’s Tampa! It was such a great night. I’ve been to other stripper bars, like Johnson’s Ft.Lauderdale, and felt constantly hustled. At the Tampa location the guys are of course there to make money, but they also seem to be having a good time and not just hustling you. They were so sweet to me. I left there feeling great and I actually felt like they celebrated me. Great time. Great time. I’ll say it again, great time!

What a treat. We were in from DFW and had a blast this weekend!!! Nathan was the most knowledgeable and charming bartender that we have ever met. Not to mention HOT! Thanks to all Orlando, Sal and Allan.

So... I hardly write reviews but I had to share this. I have never been to a gay strip club and didnt know what to expect. The bouncer was a nice guy who welcomed me in. The bartender Juan was amazing! He gave me a personal greeting and talked to me when he wasnt busy. The dancers were pretty nice and they did an amazing job dancing. I didnt know what to expect (as I said) but this experience was top notch. I know people think that strip clubs are sleazy and all that, but it was amazing simply let loose and enjoy myself in a safe space. Thank you guys for that. I shall return, not just for the dancers, but for it all. Thank you. Signed... This could have been horrible but it was all great!!!!

Last night, I basically got my keys taken off my person by your Gm and could not get them back for 6 hours, leaving me stranded in your parking lot. I had to call the police at 3 am to force your gm to return them. I had 3 drinks last night and stopped drinking at 930pm and was sober enough to drive. He got belligerent saying that I needed to call an Uber to go home 30 miles away and come back on Friday to pick up my car. The doorman falsely accused me of taking money from tip jar. I never touched the jar. The Tampa police deemed my sober and retrieved my keys. I promised them that I will never return to your establishment, leaving me with terrible customer experience.

This place is a lot of fun. Bartenders and dancers are all friendly and they play good music.

REVISED May 4, 2024:Some inconsistency in the dancer roster but overall enjoyable. I see several dancers leaving with their bags packed at midnight. I understand now that some work an earlier shift but it seems odd to start any of them before 9.I drive over an hour to visit this place and have spent thousands. I like returning when I can count on quality dancers.

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing my first night at Johnsons, a fantastic gay strip club in Tampa, Florida, and it was nothing short of extraordinary.Initially, I hesitated to go, concerned about my safety and unsure of what to expect. However, from the moment I walked in, those worries vanished. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and most importantly, safe.The diversity among the dancers was a highlight, providing a taste of every type of man imaginable. Each performer brought their unique style and charm to the stage, creating a captivating and enjoyable show. My favorites that were there that night were James, Dom, Xavier, and Nola(Nola was the first one I met and was responsible for making me feel safe)What truly made the night exceptional was the friendly and attentive staff. The owner, Matthew, went above and beyond to ensure everyone had a great time. He personally introduced himself, checked in on my experience, and made sure I felt comfortable and valued.I ended up staying until 3 am, not only because of the excellent dancers but also due to the overall positive vibes and sense of community. Johnsons is more than just a strip club; its a place where you can embrace diversity, have a blast, and feel completely at ease.Kudos to Johnsons and especially to Matthew for creating such a fantastic environment. My first visit wont be my last – Im already looking forward to the next unforgettable night at Johnsons in Tampa.

I have been there several times it keeps getting better. The DJ is awesome great music and does a great job keeping the fun going. The dancers and staff are very friendly and professional. Love this place!!! Great dancers, fantastic bartenders, and all around fun crowd! Been several times and always have the best time. Best advice is to bring cash for tips and treat everyone with respect. Can’t wait to ring in the new year again with all the hotties 🥵

Johnson’s is a great and much needed addition to Tampa/Central Florida. The place is clean and the atmosphere is energetic. All the bartenders, especially the Italian Stallion upstairs, were super attentive and friendly.As far as the dancers go, there’s something for everyone! My boys and I (all with different tastes in eye candy) were pleasantly entertained from start to finish.

Came here early on a Saturday, caught the happy hour specials and then a few dancers. Everything was great! Definitely recommend checking this place out if you like male dancers.

Nice place, reasonably priced drinks. In general, dancers not pushy. Weird setup paying $10 upstairs to get a band for the lapdance... some of the dancers charged me $40 for two dances when i specifically said just one dance. Cool place, would visit again.

Gorgeous club. Dancers amazing. Staff was very friendly and on top of their game. No parking so the valet was a welcome addition and the valet was pleasant and also cute. Will be coming here more often. Johnsons is a great addition to our community in Tampa!

Best club Ive been too in awhile. So many friendly staff and the bartenders were very attentive. Came after pride and I cannot wait to go back. I would rather drive an hour here than the local bars in Sarasota. Only criticism I had was the girl customers kinda kept the attention of a lot of dancers towards the end of the night, but I guess that is a preference for some of the dancers. Besides that cant recommend this place enough!!

Had a great time the past few visits. Owner was personable and said hello both visits. Staff was extra attentive and kept my drinking a coming. The dancers were super friendly as is expected, but we’re not pushy. Had a great conversation with a few of them. You may recognize some from social media!

Horrible experience. The insence was sickening. I was here during the soft opening and I had a wonderful experience. Very friendly staff. Decor is very appropriate for the theme. Drew, one of the dancers could carry on a great conversation and made me feel welcome. Mitch was an incredibly awesome bartender. All that is missing is an area where you can have your drink and smoke. Of course that is just my thoughts. I enjoy a double shot of bourbon and a cigar occasionally and I hated stepping out for a quick cigarette.

I have watched this place be transformed from the time the new owners brought it. This is an Over The Top very detailed, luxurious, elaborate place. The owners and management have really high standards for hospitality. They invest a lot into the high quality. They treat their dancers with respect. They have a genuine care for perfection. I am glad to be a part of their team with making sure its cleaned and sanitized. They have valet parking as well.

Had a great Saturday out here couple of weeks ago. The drinks were great, bartender and staff excellent. Dancers were very friendly, not pushy or overbearing. We visit the Ft Lauderdale location often. But Johnsons Tampa is much better IMO. We will be back.

Like most places, Johnsons is what you make of it with your friends. It’s a strip club, so expect that upscale level of fun. If it’s not your thing, that’s ok too, but it doesn’t mean the place isn’t fun or work well. Had a fun time with friends. Would go again. Good dancing, friendly dancers, yummy drinks. Owner is a nice guy who will listen to suggestions.

Pros-Dancers are friendly-Secure and safe valet parking-Clean restroomsCons-Paid extra for VIP area. Not worth it. The bartender Mitch was solely focused on what appeared to be his friends and ignoring other patrons at that bar. Had to go to main bar to get drink refill. For a new location trying to establish themselves it’s hurts to have a rude bartender in your VIP area.

First time going to any sort of club of any kind, and well I made a few friends to say the very least! If there’s a category it scores an awesome in it: drinks, staff, music, other patrons, all of it!!!

It was a great place, I had good experiences from the one in Fort Laudarle and went to this one while I was here. The drinks were strong I got happy hour so the drinks were half off and still strong.

DONT LET THE OTHER REVIEWS FOOL YOU.this club is discriminating. whoever the owner is is an ahole, who told my friend he needed to get more “chiseled” when half of those guys aren’t CHISELED at all! my friend is in mega outstanding shape, dances great! owner says he wants “the boy next door vibes” but has all types of sizes. let’s just say he had a personal problem with GOOD VIBES. we went in there one night and tipped a good amount to dancers all over the club. they all loved us. the club was LIT with us there. bartender was great and staff were so kind. the owner had a scary face the entire time like if having too much fun was an issue. and before you say anything, i’ve worked in the industry for 6 years, this club is great but the owner really makes it NOT FUN, idk if he had a problem with us. felt like it. it’s unprofessional. even told him he had a great club and he said “thanks” and walked away.. (and matt before you comment some corny response that you think makes you look cool don’t even waste your time i’m not gonna read it.)

Went in there tonight with a large group of women who were treated poorly by the staff, not the dancers. The staff is clearly trying to get with the dancers because anytime they came up to the women that were with me who were the only one spending money in the entire club, the staff, and the DJ would complain. Why would a Club ruin its own business? Still trying to wrap my brain around this one.

This place is amazing I think if I could give some advice for 2024 you should visit Johnson Im sure your experience will be amazing in there you not only meet sexy dancers but you meet kind people you meet a family you meet people who are there for you, the affection and dedication of each one, I am leaving Florida but with great gratitude for Johnson, go there and live this incredible experience that only the Johnson boys can offer you

Outwardly nice club, however from experience WATCH YOUR WALLET! Mine was lifted during a private dance in the VIP lounge. When I noticed my wallet was gone, I called management and was informed that a patron had turned my wallet in. When I retrieved my wallet ALL my cash was gone. Upon leaving club I happened to talk to the dancer that did my private danceand he admitted to turning the wallet into management stating his boyfriend found my wallet and wanted to do the right thing. Beware!! Management covers for dancers.

I have been a few times now and it’s been a lot of fun! Great drinks and a copious amount of attractive men from all over! The bartenders are all very nice and attentive! For sure will be going back!

Great space! Great staff! Everyone is super friendly and the boys are incredibly hot. Definitely the place to go to see some studs and have a stiff drink! And don’t forget to check out the upstairs VIP area!

When your dancers are out there teaching each other how to dance on the pole during business hours, and you as the owner have to tell another to stop his actions over the microphone due to it could cause a lawsuit as he was using his belt to choke a customer, and then the audacity to run a $5 cover and want to call someone out for not tipping? When the professionalism improves and you give something worth tipping for, it’s still not ok to call a paying customer out. You ran the $5 cover special, not me. Maybe if someone was begging for attention and not tipping I could maybe excuse the actions, but even then I wouldn’t say it was professional.

Today I had a terrible night in this place. I know its inappropriate to take a photo of the dancers, but I did, and one of them, a Cuban by the way, addressed me in a bad way to tell me that you cant film or take photos in the place, that everyone he knows. I do not have to know anything, I am not used to visiting nightclubs, taking into account that there is no sign that forbids it. But the most that bothered me was the way he said it to me.

This place is FUN & laidback doesn’t feel pressured to be “IN” staff was welcoming..drinks are great price. Dancers are good! Bartender upstairs (Italian) is very handsome me and my boyfriend enjoyed!

10/10 experience. Theres a extremely good looking bartender named Juan who goes out of his way to give the best service.Dancers are on point. If youre looking for a fun night out, this is your spot.

I will not be returning to this establishment! The owner Matt was yelling at dancers and customers left and right! Didn’t appreciate that at all to the point I up and left! I mean your a new business and all you would want whatever crowd you can get right now. Also it’s too crowded inside with chairs everywhere a stage in the middle and the huge bar!

As you’ll see the owner has publicly stated that they frown on females in the club & it’s geared towards gay males only.But I bet you want female ally support and votes(?)As a public club this is shameful and disheartening.Thinking of all the years of discrimination for LBGTQ community & see it now against straight women.

When most people hear the words strip club many think dirty, seedy, and etc. Johnsons Tampa is not like other places it has its own vibe. From the different types of people that work together to create a amazing experience for the customer. The many different types of entertainers with all kinds of discoverable talents. Johnsons Tampa offers Aerialist , Professionally trained dancers, award winning athletic/fitness models and trainers. The statement never judge a book by the cover can also be applied to the staff and customers. On any given night you could meet Doctors, Educators, Business professional’s, Actors, Graduate Student, the list is endless. But the best thing about Johnson’s Tampa is that it is a place where a fantasy can become a reality all while knowing the place is safe, clean, & most importantly fun and enjoyable. Without the judgement of the person next to you or across from you.

Always a great time! All the guys are friendly but Chico is Definetly my favorite! Juan keeps the best cocktails flowing. Never disappoints !

For starters, the owner or manager Matt was so rude to my sister and I, he was basically antagonizing us for no reason. The place was also dead so you would think they would appreciate anyone bringing them business. The location in Fort Lauderdale is WAY better!

I will never go there, they mad fun of the patrons of the previous 2 clubs in. That space, making derogatory remarks. If you do t like a particular portion of the community, that is ok, but do not make negative remarks about them, or their patrons on your site.

The hottest place with the hottest guys. It’s done in classy tasteful discreet way. The upstairs VIP is perfect for discretion. The guys are very personable and approachable. Don’t knock it to you try it.

This doesnt look like the club it used to be. Valet? No thanks. Looks expensive to go in, expensive drinks, crowd too young for me. Ill stick with Cityside till Johnsons is replaced by a real bar.

New gay bar in Tampa… excellent proposal. Various boys for all tastes. Fun until late. Only one Latin dancer wearing a cap was rude. On Fridays the cover is 10 dollars.
