Management needs to keep the security/bouncers in check. I was there at night and there was this bouncer making sure that people weren’t stalling at this particular area I guess to make way for other people to come through etc. As I was walking, this black bouncer (usual suspects as I can tell from other reviews) pushed me to get out of the way. I told him I needed to go through and that I was walking and not to push me. He immediately decided to kick me out of the club for no reason. These guys thinking they own the club are going to ruin it for the owners because I will not be coming back and will tell others not to go. Management needs to fire these black bouncers and hire professional ones. They should be there to protect others not to assault them.
Service is terrible specially at night!Bartenders are picky with who they are serving. Lexi didn’t want to take our order the second time and we never understood why.We are paying a service fee and venue cost for no reason at this point if we aren’t going to receive good customer service. Not to mention my drink BARELY had liquor in it, it was just pure juice. They are acting greedy and desperate also tricking us into paying more with all of these additional fees. I used to love this place but no longer do with all of the changes especially with the customer service from bartenders.
This place is going down in any way. From charging for soda water is insane. They keep forgetting this is Tucson not Phoenix or Scottsdale!Bartenders are weird nobody look happy and the girls are mean for no reason!Food is garbage! The only great thing I can say one of the secure guys is amazing. I think his name is Angel I just can’t remember it specifically. And of course don’t let me start about the music they play lol. Just go somewhere else
This place has a fun atmosphere and our server was great but the doorman was a little full of himself and completely obnoxious. I had a table of family members we had food and drinks I went outside to get a breath of fresh air and they wanted me to wait in the line to come back in to my table. Common sense by the doorman would have been nice but he was rude and belittling to me I’m almost 60 and was treated very disrespectfully. I’m not going back with my family and friends ever. Management needs to keep an eye on the staff a little better.
This place gets WORSE, not better over time.My friend and I came here a few weeks ago on a Saturday night. Something happened and security removed a man, throwing him out while still holding a glass beer bottle, which he immediately threw through a window. My friend and I were showered with glass shards and beer from the window and bottle, fully covering us and getting stuck in our clothes, hair and skin with visible open bleeding cuts on our arms.Security and management offered us no help and made no effort to get us medical care or to contact police until I directed management myself to do so, even after being injured on their property. This place is not safe and their management team is not trained to deal with these kinds of issues (which happen often if you do some research)Retrain your team, make security to get in harder or shut this place down before glass ends up in someones eye or is more seriously injured.
Make sure to check your receipts. I went there last night with my niece for a few drinks and they snuck on there a $7 gratuity for 3 cocktails. I think its very shady that they put a gratuity on there without telling anyone. And then they get tipped on top of that. Im not against anyone making their money but at least be honest about it with us and do it the right way. The bartender was surprised that I actually looked at my check and said something about it. It was easily taken off but it shouldnt have been on there in the first place without telling me. They are stealing your money and you need to be aware of that.
****AVOID AT ALL COST********TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE*****Ordered a drink. Server placed three cups on top of each other without saying anything about it being mine. After 20 min... i ask whats happening with my drinks and the server points towards my drinks in disgust. I apologize and direct my concerns that my drinks were never directly delivered. Instead of getting any type of resolution, the bartender asked the security to kick me out. They even charged my card for the drink and before I could consume it I was being forced out the doors...
This bar was actually pretty fun! However the womans restroom was BAD. No tp in most of the stalls. Two of the stalls were missing locks and a door had been ripped off of one of them. The bartenders are very helpful and get your drinks pretty fast. The bathrooms were my only complaint.
One specific bartender, I wish I knew her name, was very rude and disrespectful. We told her what drinks we wanted, and she just walked away and never came back. Then went to tell another bartender slick comments about us. Not sure what kind of show this place is running.
In my chicken strip basket, only 1 of the strips was actually acceptable. The other 3 were overcooked and shouldve been sent back. Very attentive wait staff. Didnt want to bother other tables by sending my food back. She kept our drinks full, and took good care of us. We couldve done without the loud music since we were here to watch the football game, but oh well. It is what it is.
Dont give them any business. they dont allow mexicans unless they have a passport and refuse matricular IDs which is a clear violation of the law. ignorance? lack of training? intentional racism? does it matter? theres plenty of other better options nearby
Fun spot. We came for brunch and stayed for three hours playing games and watching basketball. They have pool, shuffleboard, big jenga, big connect four, and the bean bag toss game. I got the guacamole burger which was kind of messy but tasted on point. The staff was very attentive. Would come back if my travels ever took me to Tucson again. Which is doubtful.
Nikki is the girl! It’s out and high energy! So if you can get her; please do!!!
This place is not a safe space for black woman! If you are black or a woman this is not the club for you. Tucson has plenty other black friendly clubs but this isn’t it! I have attached a video where it is seen that I was physically assaulted by the bodyguards and when I attempted to record the interaction he proceeded to physically assault me and my friend. Aside from legal action which is currently in pursuit, I have to say that as long as Jackson (pictured in video) is employed at this establishment it is and will continue to be an exclusionary environment towards woman especially black woman. I cannot say that I have ever experienced anything like this from a professional standpoint. Men need to understand that there is no circumstance where it is okay to put their hands on another woman ever! There were also a lot of inconsistencies with the different bouncers telling us different things ( mainly Jackson v all the other bouncers ) so perhaps sensitivity training is needed amongst the male staff? Again the vilification of black woman in 2023 is not okay. Even bystanders in the club were advocating on our behalf and watching all of this happen whilst we were being assaulted by this man and his colleagues. Hoping there is a lesson here to learn that GBV is never under any circumstances acceptable. EVER!
..EVERYTIME I / WE GO, ALWAYS GREAT SERVICE..AND GREAT BARTENDERS....MORE TO FOLLOW.. HAVENT EATEN THERE IN A WHILE BUT IT WAS GOOD..PLAN TO SOON.. WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHY THE MUSIC IS SO LOUD DURING THE DAY ? 😎
They hosted UFC here, dj tried to make it about the music every chance he got. In between every fight the music is loud as possible, can’t hear anyone. Last fight is over, and the second it’s possible they change it to a club.
Would give zero stars if it was an option. Had a horrible experience, similar to others posts. It is an awful place that cant figure out what it wants to be. Walked in on a Sunday afternoon to watch some football with friends and I was met by a huge bouncer who blocked my way into the restaurant asking to check my (small) purse- he even used a flashlight as if it was a nightclub at midnight. Had patrons at the bar trying to start a fight because I was yelling at the bartender to close out the tab- the music is so loud, you can not talk in a normal tone and have the bartender here you. Is this place tying to be some gang/thug bar with a bunch of tough guys? The female bartenders are dressed scantily, so maybe this place trying to be Hooters? The female bartenders also completely ignored the women in our group and only waited on the men. So maybe this place is a gentlemans club? Last, I would not recommend opening a tab. The poor group next to us had a problem because none of the staff behind the bar could find a license and credit card and somehow, the bouncers were rude and trying to throw him out. He repeatedly said he was waiting for his property to be returned and didnt know why 4 bouncers had to surround him. So maybe its a front for some shady dealings and they were caught red-handed? I dont know and I would never go back to find out. Im not surprised by the number of bad reviews this place has or the number of offenses they have faced over the years. Go ANYWHERE else if you are on Congress St!
Hi Fi Kitchen Cocktails delivered a memorable experience. Its the first hip hop club Ive been to in quite some time. I dropped by with friends a few times during my summer visit to Tucson. We breezed right in after a short wait, an ID check, and a security screening. A unique feature was an open-sided section with seating and games—an element I hadnt encountered in clubs before, but it was a neat touch. I suspect the open design might be a nod to Tucsons sweltering heat. The ambiance was relaxed, the beats were on point, and thankfully, no disruptive incidents like brawls. The bartenders were swift, and even with occasional waits, their charm made it worthwhile. The drinks? Perfectly blended. The crowd seemed to hover between the early twenties and late thirties, skewing younger—unsurprising for a college town. If youre a bit older and scouting for potential romantic interests, consider if this is the right spot. All in all, two thumbs up. Ill be back on my next Tucson trip.
The women’s bathrooms are disgusting. No matter how many remodels this place has gone through, they’ve never once touched the bathrooms. The first stall’s door has been missing for years, at least one other stall is always out of order, water overflowing everywhere, no paper towels or soap at any given time. This is such a shame. Could be a nice place but I’ve never even seen a bathroom THIS bad at a dive bar. The food is good though hahaha.
Staff is extremely rude! The food was terrible as well. This place is garbage and should be avoided. Spend your money somewhere else!!
The women’s bathroom is deplorable and the drinks are SO overpriced. You’d think they’d use that money to fix the bathroom…I think yall should go to Cobra instead.
Overall, ok bar. Not a place to watch football. Definitely for the younger crowd. We were there on a Sunday specifically to watch football. We watched as they purposely sat people in the bar according to their appearances. The younger more attractive people were sat at the outer side, next to the traffic. While other people were sat towards the inside. Ok, I get it. My wife ordered the homemade biscuits and gravy. They came with potatoes. The biscuits were super dry and they were very stingy with the gravy. I just had some draft beers, which my waitress did forget a couple of times. It did get busier as the morning went on. When we asked for our bill to our surprise there was a 20% gratuity already added to our bill! Why?! It was only two of us and when we got there, we were literally the second and third people in the whole place! Nowhere did they mention that gratuity was automatically added to the bill. I used to be a server for many years and I tip and tip very well for good service but our server was not worth 20%! We will never again go here. If youre looking for a bar, loud music and eye candy, this is your place. Ill be going to OMalleys next time!
Listen, I’m not here for a food review because y’all probably get that way too often.I would like to say that the atmosphere in here is consistent with international clubs. The floor layout, the mixture of music and the drink quality is about average, fit for a college town.I’d recommend using cash here if you could starting a tab could get really messy really quickly with bar volume to bartender ratio.Spot is cool for a decent time..
I have only been to this bar enough times to count on one hand. My bar experience is as follows. I drink Hennessy very frequently. I know the distinct taste, smell and thickness of cognac. Between 12 - 1 am Saturday night I ordered Hennessy and Coke from bartender Tess at the Congress Tucson location. I looked away for a brief second and then my drink suddenly is there. I take one sip and immediately knew it was not the drink that I ordered. Not cognac even to a watered down degree. I said to Tess that this is not Hennessy. She says “yess it is”. I said this is whiskey and coke and asked if she can remake my drink “please”. She is already extremely argumentative with me and says “no I am not going to remake your drink”. When I asked for the manager she pulls my drink from the bar and says “I am the manager and if you keep talking I will have you kicked out”. I gave up talking to her on the basis of her threat. I asked for the drink that she pulled. Then she gets disrespectful and says “are you going to take the drink and not cry and complain about what it is?” The audacity of her. If being devious to honest paying customer and then doubling down on that deviousness with “slap in face remarks” is part of your core values there at Hifi then Tess is a staple of what that represents. Of course I am only being sarcastic, because this is not how any customer should be treated. I cannot imagine at that time there are many people asking for drinks to be remade. It was an easily fixable situation that conflict was chosen by staff than customer satisfaction. I also know that it was not an issue of supply because for last call I was able to order my cognac and got it. Prior to the incident with Tess I ordered 4 drinks of Hennessy and coke. The bartender who was nice said it was $48. I got my receipt and $64 was charged. Its not the fact of the price but the neglect. I have a feeling of overall duplicitousness coming from this bar and it is very unfortunate.m
Asked for 2 single shots and was charged for 4 shots.. bartender said she gave us 2 double shots.. Im a Bartender too, those were hardly single shots, wasnt going to argue with her. But definitely will record what I order from now on. Because dont charge me for doubles if I didnt even ask for doubles.
Im not digging the recent dress code enforcement.. I was denied entry on 6/3/2023 even though I was fashionable with current athletic trends. No other clubs in Tucson have ever discriminated on my attire. Other than this instance and topic, its a decent place to congregate.
This place had the worst customer service that I have experienced in a long time. My husband and I were in Tucson just for a little getaway and wanted to go to this fun sports bar to get a late afternoon drink. The waitress came up to us one time in a span of an hour of being there. I tried to put my order in at the bar, and the bartender asked if I had a waitress which I said yes and haven’t seen her in awhile. So he walked away to go get her. We gave up and wanted to leave after she waited another 5 minutes to come over to our table. If we’re ever in town we won’t be back.
Food was okay. Its a club, trying to serve breakfast. Love the bottomless mimosas. Service was great. The music is really good, though I feel they could turn it down a little during brunch hours so we are not yelling at each other for convo. But, all in all a great place, will definitely return.
Ordered the jalapeño mac and cheese with chicken as well as one of their signature cocktails. Mac and cheese tasted like something that came from one of those bulk restaurant supply stores that they microwave and serve you. The chicken was awful, cubed, oddly textured and pretty bland. I went in there hungry and left hungry, not because there wasnt enough food, but because I didnt want to force myself to eat more than a third of what they served. The cocktail wasnt awful but definitely wasnt something Ill ever go there to order again. I would not recommend going there for the food or drinks.....
Service sucks ever since gratuity is already included in your total. Expensive drinks, terrible Service. Spend your money elsewhere.
We got there too early before it started getting lively..but the waitresses were good and easy on the eyes. The food was good and the drinks were good. Solid place with solid service.
Took forever to get drinks/beers and then they Stopped serving after 45 minutes to our group because we went to the bathroom alot said the manager(junior aguirre). Didnt refund the food purchase they charged us and we never got the food. The waitress seemed to hangout in the booth area rather than waiting on the tables. And the hangout spot for the workers seems to be in the bathroom on their phone rather than their job places. I have seen why this place is less and less crowded past couple years. Take your business elsewhere.
I used to come here for brunch on Sunday’s often in 2022 around April cut off cus I had a baby. And this place was amazing. People dancing and cool environment.I come in today April 23 2023 for my best friends Karol g celebration. I’m sure you will remember we had wigs on. And the music was dead. We couldn’t dance to what they were playing. People were wanting to go somewhere else. Where music would be better. And I went to tell the dj. It’s just I think it’s changed. But A dj should know when the vibe is on.I had put a 3 star but the music doesn’t deserve it. It sucked. We have 2 birthdays coming up and they will not be celebrated here . We got 3 bottle services. And it was a party of like 17 people. Now we know this is not the place for us.Adding We were here from12:00 pm to 7:30 pm . The dj in the morning was not cool. But after 5:30 of 6:00 he was awesome.
Went in for an early dinner. Wasn’t too busy. After being told to sit down. Took 10min to get the menu and waters. I guess they got new management. Watched the manager chat with her friends and eat food at their table. Left without ordering after being ignored for another 10min. Very disappointing service.
Never really liked this place too much. Kinda crowded, but always a good time. The reason for the 5 stars is solely the staff. I used Nicole for the table service, and she blew us away. She constantly suggested good bottles for us to try and kept them coming! She made sure our mixers were stocked all the time, and we never ran out of ice. Best bottle service Ive ever had hands down.We had a great time and our booth was constantly clean and we always had someone nearby. I actually bumped into one of the staff members and spilled a drink, and he apologized to me and help me clean it up! I wish I caught his name but he had a great sleeve tattoo and seemed to be working behind the bar.Definitely worlds better than the Scottsdale location.Awesome service guys. Will definitely be back now.
First time, grabbed a beer, won a game of beer pong, and was escorted out without reason.Terrible service. Will not be back.
I did not know that if you hurt the security guards feelings they could deny you access. Poor guys😭
Unknown on food service or atmosphere because my friend was turned away for wearing slides, but the flip flops I was wearing were acceptable. We left. This was a dumb reason to refuse service. Its not the security guards fault.
This is a cool place to have a couple of drinks with with friends or a date and then move on. The brunch atmosphere is good but the food is not good at all. Barely edible. The avocado toast was thin slices of bread with a green paste. The meat lovers skillet, which I have had now twice, tasted like school cafeteria food on both occasions. So if you’re going for brunch stick to the Mimosas and other cocktails. They usually manage to get those right. I think their non breakfast menu options taste better, but nothing mind blowing.
Bartender didnt show up for work. Manager is not stepping up to fill in. Only serving beer when they have a full bar. Recommend you stay away from this place.
The servers are great but everything else 🙄. I got the mimosa tower and it tasted like it had been sitting all day long. I also ordered a Titos orange juice they brought me wells and said it was titos as if I couldnt tell the difference smh.
I wouldn’t even give this place one star if there was a lower option available. One of the worst establishments I’ve ever been to. The waitress’s attitudes were worse than their tiny too tight outfits. We seated ourselves because there was not a hostess available and then apparently weren’t getting service for a bit because we hadn’t been seated properly by the invisible hostess. Our waitress was cordial enough but appeared to hate life and wouldn’t even make eye contact. This place did not have a welcoming atmosphere at all. On a positive note, the food wasn’t too bad. Don’t waste your time when downtown, there are more fun and welcoming places to visit.
This place won’t let you in with face/neck tattoos. As if it’s California. None of my tattoos are gang related, either. I was here before and got let in no problem, that’s what made me laugh the most. Wack energy with over priced drinks. Had a better time at home plate
Check this open aired campus energy style bar smack dab caddy corner to the John Dillinger apprehending historic Hotel Congress of the same Tucson that old Johnny got wood cut like pistol pieces and covered them with shoe polish and pulled an amazing escape from jail, Tucson. Best sound system in city and has best food, games, customers and tailgates this side of Mexico border
Food is always awesome..... if you ever get it. The service here is consistently horrible. Middle of the day, busy evening, doesnt matter. The servers are lousy. We came here last weekend, Saturday night, around 8:30pm with our 7 year old. Understandably they were busy, so we waited for our server. And waited. And waited. Finally the hostess came back over and was shocked to learn we hadnt even seen a server yet. It was 9pm now. Thankfully we lucked out and were taken very good care of by Mason. Food was comped, but took a long time to come out. We still did not see our actual server more than twice. Mason took care of everything. The customer service was excellent once it was made clear we had been forgotten/missed by the servers. But its not a one-time fluke, unfortunately. The service is always slow and underwhelming.By the time we left it was after 10pm. Our son was exhausted, we had to wind our way through the late Saturday club crowds, but at least we got our food for free and Mason made up for the mistake.Bottom line: Customer service is great, but if the general service was good to begin with that wouldnt even be necessary.
Would have been nice to know they don’t allow kids for a SUNDAY BRUNCH. Was invited to a birthday brunch and had to leave because we had our kids there. I guess this place has changed since the last time I was here. Don’t think I will ever try and come here again.
If I could give this place negative stars I would. went there on a Sunday with a group of 9. service was horrible, our server Morgan looked like she hated her job. Food and drinks took a long time to arrive. When it was time to pay, we all paid individually. She took one friends money and never returned with her change. Another friend was charged an extra $15 on top of her bill. She charged me my food and drinks separate.. ok no big deal. the day after I check my bank account not only did Morgan charge me my bill but she also over charger me almost $90!! I simply had the bottomless mimosas and nachos. my bill was about $29.00 which I paid, tipped and signed for. The $88.13 charge was done without my consent. Tried calling the manager and left message but no call back was received. Definitely do not recommend this place and will not be returning. Highly recommend if you do decide to go and experience the lack of customer service yourself, PAY CASH. Also will be reporting to the better business bureau.
Came on a Saturday morning with some friends for some Mimosas. Food was just terrible. Worst than some stadium food. Asked for the burger to get cooked medium and it came out well done. i was to hungry to care since food took a little long to come out. Fries were cold and just bland. The only good part about coming here was the server gave great service other than that i rather just go get a slice of pizza from costco.
Extremely repulsed by my treatment at this place. Waited in line forever, and got a few drinks when we finally got let in. After about an hour of being there, minding our own business and not bothering anybody, we went back up to the bar for some water. Bouncer picked out my friend at random and walked us out, without so much as a second to give us an explanation before hurrying back inside. There was no reason to remove us from the facility, and we were extremely confused by the matter. Management needs to rethink how they handle situations like this. Will not be back.
If youre looking for a ratchet, overpriced club, go here. Filled with creepy old men and honestly its just not that fun. And sometimes fights break out inside. Its like people step inside Hi-Fi and become wild animals. There are 10,000 other places around 4th ave/downtown that are better than this dump.
Moved to Tucson from Chicago and have been to MANY bars all around Chicago but I’m sorry I’ve never had worse of an experience than I did when I was here...I came in on my birthday and about 1 hour after paying for table service they tried to move us out to the patio so they could resell the table!!I’ve never seen a company rip anyone off more than they tried to do to me. When the server asked us to move to the outside patio I declined and said this is where I reserved. She came back with the manager and the manager tried to tell me to rotate stations because they’ve already sold the table to another party. I was so upset and outraged. I closed my tab and left!!Like I stated I’m from Chicago, so I’ve seen some really crazy things at bars, but I have never felt so pushed around and used from a place that I am paying for a service in! I will never be back because of this experience. After reading other reviews it seems this isn’t the first time they’ve tried to do this and that is a damn shame. Respecting your customers is key to driving loyalty and a chance for a return.WOW!!
Don’t go there. Only one server and took forever for her to come to our table. We ordered drinks and never got them (don’t think she even ordered our drinks anyways) after 10 minutes we decided to leave and go somewhere else. Never again will be go there👍🏼
The atmosphere was ok, our waitress only came once and the food was horrible!
Music too loud and the crowd is normally a bunch of wild kids. Bouncers arent very friendly and the staff is hit or miss. Place is clean though and I do love the openness about it.
Fun music on a Saturday night. However the bathrooms are awful and often non functional. It’s super gross how you can see into the guys bathroom when you’re in line for the ladies room. Then half the doors don’t work in the ladies room and the toilet is coming off the wall. Our table service also took FOREVER.
A group of us went to watch the NBA finials and service was super slow. I ordered drinks and they came 15 minutes later, my food was ordered wrong even when it came out it was 35 minutes after I ordered. So I ate an hour after ,,ordering. Our waitress wouldnt check on us very much. We would have to wave her down. If Im paying for service I want to feel welcomed. Not good!
They took our bar stools away from us??? We arrived 90 minutes before the AZ/Houston NCAA game to avoid lines and have dinner at the bar. After the game started, they took our bar stools away and left standing after three of us spent money on dinner and actively buying drinks. This was the dumbest treatment of customers Ive ever seen from a bar in my lifetime. Maybe they should have enough stools??? Three of us left and spent out money down the street. This bar is for the masses so they dont care and will fill up regardless, but was very weird.
Food is bland so don’t really recommend coming for brunch. Dishes seem dirty. Music is ok, it’s the same old mixing and EDM.
Atmosphere is always great, however it is very hot outside and hard to enjoy. SOME staff is friendly not all, also the service sucks, I know it’s busy but we waited 10 minutes in between drinks, waiting to get topped off, and when we finally waited for our bill we waited an extra 10 minutes after finally walking to the front desk and asking for someone to get us our bill. Here very often and it’s a great time but the service sucks from the girls who act like it’s such a chore to do their job.
Went on a Friday night with a group of friends. Not very friendly staff, got some food and drinks. Spent about 2 hrs there just hanging out and playing games, suddenly and for no reason they said we had to leave. With no explanation other than we had to leave. We left without incident but it definitely felt like they kicked us out to clear a table.
Service was horrible. Our server. Came once to ask us for a refill on our bottomless mimosas. Once he took around 2 hours to come again we went to the bartender and asked for a refill and she as well told us she couldnt help us too much. Which I get she wasnt our server but who else do we talk to. HI-Fi was a great brunch spot before. Hopefully it improves.
Crazy overpriced, but fun concept. We reserved a group of 28 & they gave us one waitress. So we missed happy hour & the tabs were wrong.Oh, and the outside stunk like a sewer without misters. Had to repeatedly ask for water & shades to be drawn.Avoid this garbage heap.
I used to love coming here, NOW THEY HAVE HORRIBLE SERVICE. Saturday for brunch was the worse! Our waiter (tall white male) took for ever to bring our tower of mimosas and blamed it on the server. He came to our table maybe 3-5 times we were there for 3+hours. Music sucked we were falling asleep ! Waiter rushed us to pay because his shift was going to be over! Order something for us we didnt ask for and once we signed our checked (after he slammed/threw the checks on the table), he had the nerve to ask for more tip because according to him “he was pretty much paying for our drinks” after i paid $80 just for my tab! I told him to cancel what ever he had order and gave me an attitude, he told me I would get my money back in a couple weeks, dont trust that! He took forever so my husband went to go ask another waitress to cancel the order, gave him the worse attitude as well. I asked another waiter for a manager and no one ever came to our table! This is one of the many experiences Ive had! Dont know why i keep coming back! For sure this is our last time going there! Hi-fi either need a whole new staff, better management or to be shut down! Think twice before going there!
Worst experience ever. I would never go back. Wasnt even offered a drink. First impression was the hostess rolling her eyes as my family and I walk in. We ended up leaving and crossing the street to Funky Monk ( The Funky Monk was an AMAZING service and awesome food. HIGHLY RECOMMEND you try it out!)
Do not come here for brunch. Waited over an hour for a table when we were told itd be 30 minutes. After finally being seated, someone asked if we were ready to order (obviously not), and she never came back. Waited over 40+ minutes for someone to take our order, but no one ever came back even after asking someone if they could ask our waitress to come and take our order, which she rudely replied: ARE YOU ORDERING FOOD? well we were trying to. Overall not a good expience. Fun if you just wanna drink mimosas though.
Went here with a group of people. There were roughly 10 other people in the building and one of the managers that was “off duty” proceeded to tell us to “find a new bar” whenever we asked to get a clean set of billiards balls. He then told a customer that was with us who tipped the bartender 5 dollars for an 8 dollar drink to “move on” and didn’t want us standing at the bar.It was a horrendous experience and a terrible establishment. We will gladly find a new place for our business. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!
Third time Ive been there and due to high turnover, there is an inexperienced wait staff that walk by without reaching out to their tables. We waited for 15 minutes before I had to ask the hostess who our server was. She had walked past our table 6 times before then. The music even in the middle of the day is so loud that you cant talk to those across the table from you. The food is fatty and oily with very few actually health conscious options. There are big screens for sports, which is fine. I dont have many restaurants on my Do not go list, but due to HiFis consistent lack of service, fatty food, and overly loud music, I would not suggest trying.
Super kind, respectful, and fun bartenders. We had a blast playing the games and it gave people a reason to socialize other than just drinking, but the drinks were also really great! Had a blast. I was out with my friends for a pre bachelorette and they gave us a shot and congratulated me. Great place! Go here.
Small, but nice. Very popular and over crowded spot! I love some of their cocktails and especially the Mexican candy shot! Drinks are as well priced as anywhere in the downtown scene. Decent music! I like its connection to Johnnys Gibsons!
Was turned away for wearing slides. Not inappropriately dressed but wearing slides was considered inappropriate. The new dress code is ridiculous and the place was dead.
I was waiting in line for 1 hour and 30 minute i got there at 11 pm and it was new year eve and it was my first time celebrating new year in downtown I thought it was gonna be great but turns out to be a awful way to start the new year and i went inside at 12:30 and only stay there for 20 minutes. I probably not gonna visit here ever again I should drive up 2 hour if i want to go to an hifi. But the best part is i did get to see the fireworks up close this was a bad experience for new year
I was waiting in line with my group of friends. Two of my friends were dancing with each other in line. When we got to the front of the line those same two friends proceeded to chat with the bouncer. In casual conversation, one of them stated he is gay. When it was time for my group to enter, the bouncer let us all in but said “except you” and pointed at my gay friend. The bouncer claimed it was because he was dancing in line and looked too drunk, but if that was truly the case he would have stopped my other dancing friend too. Homophobic much? Hi Fi, I know you read your reviews. How are you going to improve for the future, to ensure an inclusive and accepting environment? What changes will you make? #accountability.
Sunday night by the way. 03-12-23 FRONT ENTRANCE MALE HISPANIC SHORT CHUBBY WITH FACIAL HAIR SECURITY charged me 20$ to let my friend in because it wasnt a nice taken care ID but he told us to pay HIM cash and would do us the Favor I didnt want to argue I said ok I got the 20$ on card Replys NO he wanted CASH WHY? Cause it was for him not for the club. I dont care about the 20$ its the ACTION, scheming ppl doesnt look professional.
Worst service ever. Never pay with cash. A waitress told me that I have to give her my credit card because some people leave without paying. I told her that I am going to pay with cash. After finishing my meal I paid with cash and got my credit card back. After few days later I found out that they have used my credit card. I talked with manager and she told me that she will take care of it. Now its been 3 and half months and still didnt get my money back. After since I never go there anymore.
If I could give this place negative stars I would. We entered the restaurant and there was no hostess so we sat down and were ignored for 20 minutes. We tired to get the attention of anyone who worked there and no one would talk to us. When we finally got the attention of a waitress she said we needed to talk to a hostess and we explained that no one was at the front. One of our friends went to find the host and no one was there so we kept waiting until one employee told us we werent going to be served because we were apparently rude. We didnt do anything wrong just kept waiting and asking for someone to take our order. After 30+ minutes we ended up walking out. Never going back.
I would never waste your time going to this place! My girlfriends and I tried to have lunch there this last saturday. The bouncer with the sunglasses was very sweet, but other than that it was awful!! The hostesses had such attitude problems. There were tons of open tables but said it was a 30 min wait. We waited a while n then decided to sit at the bar. We sat at the bar for about 20 min being ignored by the tall bartender with a bad man bun & sunglasses. Eventually my friend got his attention and asked if we could plz have menus and place a drink order.... the kid rolled his eyes at her n scoffed!!?? At this point we walked out. I do not know if they have good food or drinks, we couldnt stomach the extremely rude service and terrible loud new age music blaring at noon. Dont waste your time!
Me and my friends we went on Halloween recently. The waitress Sam was very k in nd and attentive and the security staff was professional and kind to us. The food definitely was the highlight.
How can you rate a 0 star? They do not even deserve 1 star. They have horrible customer service, poor bartending attributes & lack of manager compassion. If there is a problem, the staff and managers refuse to hear what their lack luster employees who were NOT trained correctly & failed to properly provide the customer service that is expected from a paying patron. The whole staff up to management needs a overhaul in training on having better customer service!
Drinks are a little overpriced especially for being in Tucson. Other than that okay music for Friday and Saturday. No room to dance, so definitely not a place for that. Chill atmosphere nice for a drink with a couple of friends. Always a good time here.
They took forever to take our order, and an eternity for my designated driver to get their side even after I received my beer, and we ordered everything at once. If youre into hipstery sports bars with slow service, this is your place.
What a cool bar. Its literally wrapped around a corner of a parking garage. This is EASILY the easiest bar in Downtown Tucson to find parking for. The beers are ice cold (and they have a good selection on tap and in bottles). The cocktails are well-mixed. And the wait staff is very attentive.
I’m a very bubbly person & was completely sober & was not allowed to enter the bar because I was “too drunk” I even talked to one of the security guards by the doors and he said “I know you’re sober but the head security guard thinks yours drunk so you can’t come in” I was very confused because again I was completely sober and one of the security guards ADMITTED that he knew I was sober. Definitely won’t be standing in line there again.
Had an amazing time. Great night out and the manager, I think his name was Junior was very accommodating and professional. Had a really good time and was well taken care of at our table.
Very good place for the college crowd looking for some drinks and fun games. Dont expect to hear much conversation while the music is playing though. Would not recommend for a full sit down meal, but the place itself is very entertaining and great you just wanna hang out with friends.
Was having a great time spending money and having drinks with friends and then when tried joking around with the bouncer who mind you I could throw across the room wanted to puff up his chest and ask me to leave was uncalled for. HiFi need to reevaluate some of their staffing. My first time experiencing it but not the first time I have heard of the bouncers having a power trip. Probably wont be going back unless to take the bouncer job lol jk
Charged a 20%service fee thats crazy.!
Get seats early for game nights or you will be standing in a crowd of people. This place is packed tight most weekends and the service reflects this.If you are a cool kid with all the friends I would probably find you here. Along with all of the other cool kids who want to cram themselves into this happening place.
This is -the- place for brunch downtown. The bottomless mimosas cannot be beat (the champagne to orange juice ratio is perfect) and the menu is varied while being familiar. The bacon Brussels sprouts will make you cry... in a good way. The staff is attentive and super personable. If youre nursing your #pourdecisions from last night, this place will cure what ails you.
Had a goodtime. Food was really good also. Our server Kirsten was on top it all. Seemed as though she was more in tune with her job then some of the servers I observed. Glad we sat in her section. Also thanks for the make shift toothpicks....👍👍👍
Dope place to party but super packed
Last night I came to this bar with some friends (a group of 10 or so) and I had one of the worst experiences Ive ever had during a night out.Shortly after arriving my friend, Z, and I needed to use the restroom. The bar was crowded, and like many girls who try to move through a crowded place, we were holding hands to stay together. I must mention that this was my first time there so I didnt even know where to go.We almost find our way to the bathroom without incident. We had to pass the kitchen to get there. My friend and I were still holding hands. One of the servers cut in front of me and ran into my outstretched arm. She quickly turned around on me and started yelling and getting in my face. I tried to tell her that I was just trying to keep up with my friend and my arm was out because we were holding hands. At this point, I didnt know she was a server and Im really upset because she is getting real close to me and aggressively in my face. She then tells the bouncers that I grabbed her and had me and my friend kicked out the bar. We are allowed to walk ourselves out. The whole time she is laughing in our faces. We ask to speak to a manager and he lets us back in the club because he knows the whole situation is ridiculous. We still have to go to the bathroom so we do that. Another one of the girls, D, is trying to talk to people to let them know that Z and I were unfairly treated. She sees the girl who instigated the incident and is like hey that kind of behavior isnt cool, which it wasnt. The girl proceeds to call security again.D is talking to the bouncer and he says that she has to leave because shes yelling at him. And were all confused because no one can hear you if you talk in a regular voice in a bar playing loud music. Before she even has a chance to walk out on her own, another bouncer appears out of nowhere, grabs both her arms from behind and lifts her off the ground. Z and I are trying to tell them she can walk out on her own just as we did earlier if given the opportunity. But before we could get to her 2 other bouncers show up and literally throw her on her backside. In all the hustle and bustle one of the bouncers hits Z in the face severely busting her lip.We later find out that shortly before the incident a man with no relation to our group brought a knife to the bar and the employees of HI FI were on edge because of that.I understand why that incident would be upsetting to them, however, that gives them no right to traumatize us or treat us so disrespectfully. This whole entire situation could have been avoided if the staff didnt feel as if they could be aggressive with us instead of just listening to what we said. We were wrongly perceived to be aggressors at every turn instead of being given the benefit of the doubt. The entire night was unfortunate and I will not be returning unless there are some policy changes.I do want to add that I did speak to the general manager Lola about the initial incident between the server and me. She agreed that the servers behavior was not ok and I really appreciate her taking the time to listen to what I had to say. I just wanted to have fun with my friends and events outside of my knowledge or control prevented that.
It is a very fun, loud energetic place that you can go. Have drinks with some friends and have a good time.
Really hifi trying to impose a dress code now guess you guys want to be a trend on the internet. Its a bar not high-end dining , and please dont reply you and your establishment not worth your over price food and drink . Hi if you want a great experience go to your local drive bars were you get treated with respect.
Rude and unfriendly hostess and waitress. They seemed annoyed that we were there. No real greeting, no smiles whatsoever. Disappointing because we enjoyed the food and drinks but will more than likely not be back. Bad service is going to cause the place to go out of business.
Ive never in my life experienced this; however, I just escaped from this horrific bar because they told me I was starting to sway a little bit. I am 65 and sway every single time I stand or walk. Let me mind you, there were people in the bar who couldnt even move due to their intoxication. I was extremely offended by this, and will call with a complaint in the morning. I will never suffer from their false accusations again.
I had an adult milkshake and a salad and both were excellent. I was also there with a huge group and the servers were fast, friendly, and accurate. Its a bit more pricey than Im used to but worth the money.
Wouldn’t let my friend In because he was wearing shorts… like it’s Tucson… Also lady bouncer is the biggest b I have ever encountered and straight up snatched a drink from me, injuring me, and kicked me out because I gave my already ID’d friend a taste of my overpriced drink.
I was there 2weeks ago food & service was awesome the Cuban sandwich was 🔥 omg was so awesome only thing I noticed the draft beer 🍺 was pouring really foamy i got a dos equis draft. and beer wasnt cold at all you guys are throwing alot of profit down the drain when beer isnt at right temperatures and the beer will pour foamy F.Y.I to the managers other than that ill be going back again
Pretend your shots are half price but reg price is 50$ for Julio 42, not where I come from man.
Came here with 6 of my friends one of which is deploying to Afghanistan Monday. Our waitress didn’t come to us for a long while after we were told she’d be right with us. We proceeded to take matters into our own hands and grab a couple drinks from the bar. Once we finally got a waitress she was beyond rude and and would say “what do u want?” Instead of polity asking. When it came time for our checks she rushed my friends and I with saying “can I close your tab and get a tip because I’m gonna go get sushi” when my friend asked for one more beer she rolled her eyes and cane back with a bottle of coors which she held her index finger and thumb on the lip of the bottle. Just dissatisfied in my visit
How can you fire someone for there personal views? knowing that they followed the guidelines while at work and didnt do anything regarding there personal views while on duty or at the place of work. that is the definition of discrimination. This individual does not have 1 blemish on there record but was fired over there view points that no way impacted the business!!! The servers are awesome but the management is ridiculous!
Our party was turned away at the door because of visible tattoos. Not obscene or gang related, but simply visible tattoos. In 2018 where tolerance and acceptance are being promoted, not allowing tattoos in a downtown club? Unfriendly environment.
If the food was decent it would be 5 stars. The chicken waffles is a joke. Update from 5/7/22. This place seriously has the worst food in Tucson.
Bouncers will literally put their hands on you and try to push you around if its a busy night. When confronted about it, theyll surround you like sharks because theyre scared to touch you one on one all of a sudden. Only appeals to little kids who havent had their fill yet. Hopefully going out of business soon. Wheres the management on this page? lol soon enough you wont be able to turn a blind eye cause youll all be out of a job.
Not the best, not the worst. Overpriced for sure. There’s really no dance floor where the DJ is at so you’re in a crowded tiny space getting drinks all over you because people are trying to get through to the bar and bathroom. Not the best set up for a club.
Great music if you want to dance and hang out with friends.
One of the worst places to get a drink. Unbalanced cocktails that taste like sugar and nothing else. Had stopped with a few friends and none of us could stomach what they brought out. I even think they just gave our one buddy soda water without the alcohol. Manager handle it well but we wont go back.
I live across the Street. Music is way too loud for no reason. They are open until 2am almost every night. This club makes my life miserable.
I walked in. I went to the bathroom immediately after saying hi to my friend who had a table. When I got out, someone was walkinh really slow in front of me so I told them to move. In hindsight, yes, I could have and should have been a lot nicer. Nonetheless instead of de-escalating the situation by telling me to be nicer or Ill have to leave or any type of warning, I was told I had to leave. I wasnt a repeat offender. I had been in there for a total of 10 minutes. I wasnt drunk. Therefore, in the end she claimed I HARRASSED her. Even the security guards were confused. So if you made it to the end of this review, you as well as myself should know this is not an eatablishment that prides themselves in good, fair service.
I hate this place. Literally go anywhere else in downtown there’s so many better options
I had a blast here. It was super packed and I was still served quickly. The music was loud but not too loud. Fun place with a lively atmosphere.
One of the worst places in downtown Tucson, they apply the dress code on the people that they dont like or they dont welcome. One time I told my friend who just moved to Tucson to meet me there, but they did not let him in because he was wearing Timberland shoes. I looked inside and I saw whole lotta people that were wearing hats and chains!! On top of all that, the place is one of the most expensive places in town.
They have the worst bouncer staff they will try to gain the favor of some girl and kick you out for doing nothing. When you get kicked and ask for your credit card they refuse to give it to you and over charge
This place plays their music extremely loud to the point everyone in here is yelling at each other. Ridiculously loud. Came in with a group and we left. Going to take our business elsewhere for sure.
Fun atmosphere over all but paid cash and they still charged the card I used to hold the table. Also, random drinks were charged to my table. Mgmt has done nothing to fix the problem. *Beware*
Pretentious dump somewhere between Dave & Busters and chill out lounge that wouldnt last in a major city. Boasts a dancing area the size of a broom closet. Seriously overcrowded with college kids. Drinks are overpriced, service is mediocre at best and the bouncers are a bunch of Neanderthals.
If you enjoy being surrounded by nothing but douchebags, shoulder to shoulder, then this is the place for you. Everyone has their kind of venue that attracts them...this is not mine
Fun place to go on a Friday or Saturday evening. Nicole is the best bartender! They have games outside that make for a fun evening but know that at a certain point it gets extremely crowded.
Place smells awful. The patio hasnt been pressure washed since the place was opened. The service is awful. Miss this place if youre looking for a decent place to go for food and drinks. It smells so terrible I wanted to puke.
Worst bar I’ve ever been to. They refuse to acknowledge you when you sit down or stand at the bar. We were just trying to get food and kept asking for service but continued to be ignored. I’ll never go back here.
Hi fi Tucson is allowing their employees to come back into work without a confirmed negative COVID-19 result even if they were tested positive earlier this month. They are still not requiring masks to be worn at their establishment even though it is officially mandated in Tucson. You are at a high risk if you walk in through their doors. 100% will never come here again after the pandemic is over. They do not care about the safety of the community.
Excellent club scene with table bottle service and plenty of staff. Gets a bit crowded so get there early. Security is tight but does a great job.
Not very many places to sit. Outdoor games seem like they will be fun, but take ur money and no one around to help fix them
Chicken wrap sucked. No flavor, at all. Ordered 3 gummy bear shots and they were not good at all. Like no love was put into making them. :(
This place blatantly racially profiled someone in our party. Told us we all could all drink there accept for her. A lawsuit is definitely in order here. See you in court!!!
One of my favorite night spots downtown. Very upbeat party style with fantastic lights and confetti!
They deserve a negative star. They have horrible customer service, poor bartending attributes & lack of manager compassion. If there is a problem, the staff and managers refuse to hear what their lack luster employees
I love it there but it takes a while to get service like the bartenders they just walk around to see you sitting there then dont ask you what you want until you called them but it should be much faster service people like that but another words everythings okay I would recommend people to go there I go there every Sunday to watch am I Pittsburgh Steelers whoop butt
Bartenders are rude!! We were not satisfied with our drinks and complained to bartenders. They became defensive and disrespectful to us. We asked management to comp our drinks and they did. When we left. They charged our credit card in full for the drinks they said they would comp!! We will not be returning to this establishment.
Champagne served in a wine glass, a hamburger served on a sweet brioche- ugh. However service, music, & large windows & open atmosphere was good.
It would have been more fun at night I think. We had a drink in the early evening and not much was happening. They did make a very good French 75!
Fave place in Tucson when we visit. Great food, libation and excellent service. Try the mango margarita....youre welcome 🤩
Service absolutely sucks unless youre a bro or a ho.. sat for 30 mins no service except plates and caddy taken from tsvke when menu present...but plenty of empty drinks dropped at our table as we sat making eye contact with every employee.... Douche atmosphere, left and went to another bar.
We had a great time on 4th of July. Lots of fun and energetic atmosphere.
Me and my friends went on Friday and we bought our drinks and as soon we sit they didn’t let us finish our drinks before trying to kick us out and a male security guard grab my 4’9 female friend and was trying to drag her outside before finishing our drinks. Will not be returning .
Kody (not sure if thats how you spell his name) service was amazing, he was attentive and courteous. We were a party of 8 for brunch on a Sunday. He was assisted by a guy I believe his name was Clark.
One of the best club/lounges in Tucson. They only employ the most beautiful females. Very easy to find whatever u need from outside sources in the club.
Came to this place I took video of myself waiting 32 minutes for someone to take my order. And everyone in there is extremely rude. First time going there and also my last. I also asked if they gave military discount and they responded in a very rude manner. I dont recommend this place and I shared my video to the public.
To eat and drink and have fun and a night dancing whats up baseball baseball score but whatever they got him Sports all so you can eat whatever Animania Stars so if you want to go and have a good time thats a place to me
Awesome place love the unlimited mimosas. The staff is a really big help due to the pandemic. And keeping everyone safe that you all.
We stopped on our walk about for a drink and a little dancing. Great views and fun crowd. Very interactive place with many possibilities to keep yourself entertained.
Great food and really good service. I think they are mostly a night time bar and grill but going during the day definitely givez ypu a little taste of what yo expect at night.
Great food. Terrible service. Had to go to the bar to get a refill on my water after I already asked my server to bring some. She was chatting at the bar when she realized what I was doing.
Worst service. Extremely over charged my table for no reason and management Rick Cano wanted nothing to do with it. Then my server had the nerve to say my original tip wasnt enough. Wow! Be careful people.
Friendly service. Highly recommend the French fry dish, forgot what its called. Comes with 2 sunny side up eggs. It is through the roof!
Food was mediocre, service was even less impressive. Value for your dollar is horrible. The only thing that gives this 2 stars instead of one is the location/vibe of the spot. Won’t be back.
Came here for bottomless mimosas. Come to find out they only serve over priced bottomless orange juice. Would not recommend. Food came out burned as well.
Always a lit place to go for drinks 🍸
Fast service friendly workers except the bald guy bartending that day he was a D so I asked for a different bartender and they happily gave me someone else.
Got there early, bit too loud of music for the sparse crowd but good drinks and fun stuff to do.
Love this place, wish they would switch up the music every once in a while, but still a fun place to go to!
Atmosphere was good, service was good, everything was positive A very chill vibe
Our server barely checked on us. We didn’t even get water. Went to the bar to order instead, and the bartenders were rude. 0 stars
Everyone makes their drinks my one bartenders no longer there for some reason I loved her
You know, the place is great if you like large crowds and loud music... However it is impossible to move or get a drink which is absurd.... Bottomless mimosas are lit though
Called ahead and asked if they had the ufc fight, they said they did. Get there and watch the pre lims and right after they inform us they didnt get the fight. Educate your staff
Cassidy is a very pleasant and professional bartender. I did not try the food and the atmosphere was okay.
Lot of fun. Across from the funky monk so if you get bored there you can go across the street and play some games and drink.
Security is chill. They didnt have anyone who was up on set which is a huge disservice.
Turned away because i had a tanktop on on a sunday at 11am in the desert 89 degrees. Will never return.promise
This place is stupid, wont let you in if youre wearing a chain or Timberlands. Makes no sense and the last time I went the drinks were way too expensive and a garbage DJ.
I have had two experiences there were my drink was roofied. I do believe it may have been by the bartender there. Don’t recommended anyone to go here
Awesome drinks, great music, went with 2 friends, 3 green tea shots was roughly $68
Hung out in afternoon. Autumn was a blast.!! Sooo much fun. Me and all my friends will be back!! Food was awesome.
Appetizers and beer its great. But when it turns into a club is just amazing its always packed. Great music and great atmosphere.
Sunday at 5 pm with noone in the club, no need to play their garbage music so loud.
Had a blast as always with the exception of the DJ having never heard of Motownphilly by Boyz 2 Men lol
Worst service Ive ever experienced at a Tucson bar. And at half capacity. If this place fails it wasnt the rona....
Worst service of all time. Waited for over 30 minutes and were never noticed. We tried to ask for a server and continued to be ignored. Definitely will never come back.
The experience was fun. The DJ could have been better and the vegetarian options need improvement.
Nice place to have a snack and spend time with friends. Staff was very attentive to everyones needs while dining.
Decent place to watch sports during the day and even at night during the week. Caution: being near this place on a weekend night may cause herpes and/or syphilis.
Too much of a sports bar for my taste, beer is a little overpriced. Upside is there are bar games and a cool outside area.
Awful place, impolite security, big attitude, the securities keep pushing people around to move in between people, its not Worth your money or time.
Just had a bartender don’t know how to simply make a tequila shot after we had asked him for salt and lime he got offensive and took over 15 minutes we finally walked away and he replied “bye ladies” bartenders on the week day are bitter and this is someone who comes every weekend that guy was rude wont go back their !
09:25 p.m. 02/07/23, I stayed at the congress hotel, never answered the phone after 60 minutes....
Worst bouncers ever. Rude and extremely unprofessional. All the other bouncers downtown make fun of them for a reason .
The bouncer told me I was ugly and said they closed at 1. I cried myself to sleep so 1 Star.
Its an okay place during the day. If youre a college kid this is the place to be during the weekend, since they can draw in college students during the weekend no matter what, the service isnt that great.
Pretty fun place with good drinks. Definitely a younger crowd.
Cool bar with a great location. A tad bit of a candy shell corporate feel. Catered to the college crowd
Disgusting womens bathrooms. Hamburgers undercook. No fkn coctail waitress service. All bad.
The bottomless mimosas idea is awesome. If you love to day-drink, this is the place to be.
Bottomless mimosas on Sunday 6:20 bucks during football season they have early games cornhole bean bag toss
Never go to this place they are scammers the bar tender added a tip to my bill that I never authorized do not use card for payment at this place
Drinks are a little pricy but everything we ordered met a standard of quality
Staff is not friendly and food is not great.
Worst customer services ever, and the manager is even worse. The whole vibe was off. They act like they didn’t want to wait on us.
Great menu selections, fun atmosphere, reasonable prices and close to all the Downtown happenings!
