Six Strings Club

I do not understand the negative reviews about this club I am from the Quad Cities and we visited on Saturday and I can tell you its the best karaoke bar Ive ever been to! It is huge and such a great sound system big dancefloor I would drive 2.5 hours to go again! Dont listen to these reviews its an absoulete blast!

Went before it got busy. Had a Honey Whiskey w Lemonade. We had the dance floor to ourselves. We practiced some country swing w country music.

This bar used to be friendly to bikers. As a motorcyclist / biker I carry a backpack. Dan as well as the door dude stopped me and demanded that my pak was searched. As I have nothing to hide I consented reluctantly. At this point I would like every purse searched. I feel that this was discrimination. And a breach of my constitutional rights. That I gave up for them.

Everyone in Athletics got kicked out because someone didn’t follow the proper stage procedures during karaoke when we couldn’t hear what Security said.. Hardos. 500+ employees will never come back here

The service is terrible. Went with a group of about 10 people last night, one of our friends in the group had to pay our cover fee due to none of us having cash on us, once he gave the bouncer a $20 for 4 of us to get in, the bouncer declined him entry to the bar. The reason was, “he laughed and i didn’t like his attitude”. I would never go here unless you feel like being disrespected every second.

Cool atmosphere, reasonable drink prices. But, the manager and door guy need to get their eyes checked... And they were very rude! They almost took my ID, that is obviously me... And told me it wasnt me. Im 35, and I look it. Dont need a fake ID. Will not be back anytime soon. Especially since there was only 10 people there when this happened.

I went to this bar on saturday, it was not busy, not fun, but since we paid to get in my boyfriend and I stayed for a little bit. I had one drink, which was my first drink of the night and he had 2 which totaled to $6. I check my bank statement today and I had that $6 charge as well as a miscellaneous $21 charge which was not mine!!! And no one answers there phones their voicemail literally says, We dont man our phones so find another way to contact us, such bullshit! I better get a full refund and Im definitely never going there again since their bartenders dont even check which cards their charging, (or worse yet they purposely charged the wrong card).

EDIT: After leaving the following review, I was contacted by both the GM and owner of the establishment, who both handled the complaint very well. They swiftly dealt with the problem in a very professional manner, I would consider returning to Six Strings.Reading everyone elses reviews actually shock me. I cant believe anyone gets good service here. I had one nice interaction with one security guard, but thats it. Last Saturday, at 1:25, with 35 minutes remaining until closing time, they began pushing tables together. The TABLE that we were using was pushed literally from under us. One of my friends was leaning on the table and I had a hand on my drink and they literally pushed it back and then had the audacity to tell us to move so they could push another table where we were standing. I walked up to the rude security guard that was doing this and tried to ask why and he said because they were closing. I told him that they still had thirty minutes and he said that he wanted to go home and then walked away from me. I was in shock. Then my friend asked if she could get a water, and rude bartender said No, were closed, even after she offered to pay for it. We went to a different bar and they gave us water, because they were all still open for 20 minutes and thats what bars are supposed to do.I was shocked about how rude and hostel everyone was. I will not be going back to this terrible bar.

Awesome New Years Eve party great band and the drinks are priced right. The staff is awesome and quick at taking orders. First time here better then anything back home.

Fun place to go even if you dont like country music. Drinks are reasonably priced and upstairs/deck seating is nice in the summer (great for people watching). Seems to be a lot of wet spots on the ground/tailgate seats.

I am a limousine driver. I was driving clients around Bloomington/Normal for a booze cruise. My clients were doing a pub crawl. I needed to use the restroom and I was told by the VERY rude doorman I had to pay. I said “sir, I just need to use the restroom.” He rudely said no. When I picked my clients up, they asked if they could go to Six Strings (as they had never been,) I made it a point to advise my clients that the staff was very rude. They decided on another destination. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

They charge active military and kick you outDo not come if you support the military

Went for a Pokemon Go hunting and drinking night. The club kept lures on 3 stops around the perimeter and it was a drowsy nest. Active on social media and darn good live band. Would recommend to anyone. They earned my business well.

Best friend tried getting into the bar and the bouncer folded her I.D. (Kentucky) and said it was fake... Never will go to that bar again and just so everyone knows, it is illegal to fold an I.D. and throw it away... 4 other people that are under age in the bar as we speak... The Police department was notified!

Great stage with live music and a dance floor. The bar was absurdly packed and the dish bowl drinks were pretty trashy, but the bar tender offered GREAT service. The other drinks were fine and seating/atmosphere was comfy.

Had a fantastic time at Six Strings last night!!! Excellent music!!!! friendly service!!!! Very clean!!! I would highly recommend checking this place out....FUN, FUN, FUN!!!! The sound guys actually know what there doing....very refreshing...:) One of the nicest venues in the Bloomington area!!!

Have been trying to contact someone since December 4th about a charge dispute. Its almost February. I have called(which the # does not work) emailed, and Facebook PMed and cant get anyone to respond to fix this error. I was charged a $25.00 tip when my receipt clearly states i. I know mistakes happen, which is why I had tried so hard in giving a chance to get it corrected. I had to go through my bank to refund the money (they couldnt reach anyone either).Should probably add TO BE FAIR- the first email I sent I got a response of Ill look into this and get back to you (not signed by anyone) and my Facebook PM has been seen, but not responded to.Poor ethics and bad business.

Every time I am in town I go to sixstrings. The atmosphere is grate and the service is always good. Lots of bartenders and an attentive bounce staff. Good safe spot to enjoy a drink and friends

I love this place the bartenders are always on top of things and they remember you when you go up for your tab. Plus it is cleaner and a whole lot more laid back then some of the other bars downtown that get too crowded

Country themed college bar. Its usually pretty dirty, with a wet floor, but the bands are good when they have them. Paying a cover for no band is annoying though.

Liked it for sure. They make a mean sweet heat marg and the sound guy/host know theyre stuff. Id give another star if they still had the bull

Fun place! Ethan Bell band was sooo good. Very friendly and efficent Bartenders.

Best bar in blo no. Great live music and the fishbowls are awesome.
