This place should be called LEVEL 2 because thats the highest rating its getting from me right now. Apparently, theres a dress code to go upstairs? I walked in earlier and there was no issue! All I wanted was to grab tacos at the Moxys food truck on this level and people gave me a hard time. Its ridiculous to shame customers!I literally saw some people going upstairs with hardly anything on and heading to the bar like that. Meanwhile I have a button-up shirt on and people are giving me looks, so stupid. Its a shame that people dont know how to dress anymore. This is a vacation hotel, and it felt like a prison at points.Level 8 also has poor signage and a confusing set-up, all the restaurants on the level are mashed together and youll never guess where one ends and another begins. Also, I came right at opening and NO one was ready. All the restaurants were unattended and I was forced to wait another hour. Level 8 does not stick to its scheduled business hours. The only reason Im not going to totally hate on this place is because of the tacos I had at the food truck. They tasted great, but werent worth the battle. I will NOT be recommending this place to anyone.

Numerous restaraunts in one area, each with their own theme. Ours was great unfortunately some of my friends got seated at less awesome options. The food and drinks were both very good and everybody left stuff. My only issue was the bar within the restaurant was great, but they wanted to rush us out so they could seat new people.

This place was an awesome experience. We dined at Maison Kasai. From the elevator to the secret door was a lot to experience. Once behind the hidden door, there is a bar. You just had to be there. Another secret door connected us to the restaurant. We had great service and entertainment by a magician. I chose the 4 course meal. Collette steak and all the fixings that came with it. Our chef overcooked my steak just a little. The caviar appetizer was different (1st time having caviar). The drinks were awesome. Our servers were very good. After dinner, we tried two of the clubs. It was so much fun. There was a wrestling match over the bar. So cool. The music was ok. The drinks were ON. Overall, things were well thought out when creating this place. I love it and will go back should I visit LA in the near future.

10/10 def a must try!My experience at Level 8 was nothing short of awesome! We had dinner at Que Barbaro, i loved the ambiance, very romantic with an outdoor pool club. Dress up nice if you come. We started off with the Waygu empanadas 10/10 & ANTICUCHO DE HONGOS which are mushrooms. For dinner I had the Pollo ala brasa and my date had the NY strip MR. Both were Delicious!! For our sides we had the Papas & Humita which we loved!!Our server was super sweet, with a great sense of humor! I wish I remembered her name but she had dreads with a great smile! Everyone was very attentive and friendly! We then got escorted to Wanderlust, which was a whole other experience, with a bunch of different live performances and great drinks!I def recommend this place to woo a date or have a special dinner! Thanks again

Overpriced pool area and boring event. We paid $40 for two entry passes to this pool. We potentially wanted food, but were told we’d need to get a table. To get a table, you were required to spend a minimum of $200/person for two ppl to sit at one of the tiny tables. Another semi bigger table required a $500 total minimum for 2 ppl. These were both so small and cramped. Everything was cramped here since there was no space but the aesthetic was trying to copy the Miami beach style. Even the speakers for the DJ were so close to 3 cabanas and a table that I mentioned how I was shocked they did that. I would be pissed if I was placed at a table by speakers! There was no place to put bags and swim (don’t bring anything if you go!). Dj was fantastic tho and the bartenders were all nice. The host, as well as walk around staff, was sweet. We got two non alcoholic drinks - one was $13, the other $15. Most drinks were about $20+.The size/atmosphere did not warrant the egregious prices. It was a super boring event and I wouldn’t return for that. Besides the staff, who were EXCELLENT, this place was underwhelming.

The rooftop was beautiful had nice views. Unfortunately the bar was understaff took over 30 minutes to get a drink bar tenders kept ignoring us only taking orders from table service. Drinks are very price paid $80 for 3 drinks and they added a service fee even dough their service sucked !!! Drinks had too much ice. The pineapple was not even real pineapple was dried fruit . Dj was not the best . The staff only caters to people with tables. You are left to fend for yourself . Do not recommend.

This place is a scam and will steal from you!!First the doorman demanded we agree to a $300 minimum bar tab, which would not include bottle service. We were already going to order drinks but a $300 minimum???? He gave horrendous attitude to the people of color in our group, but when I and another group member (both white) went to talk about this insane policy, he changed his tone and spoke nicely. He offered to knock the minimum down to $200, which we agreed to, because it was my friend’s birthday and she wanted to go here. When closing out, the $200 minimum ended up being $300 anyway when you include the service fee, tax, and tip. My card was declined because I have good bank security, so I used my credit card to pay. The next morning, my bank calls me to ask why the bar was trying to charge another $500 on my card. They stopped it from going through thankfully. BUT THESE THIEVES WERE TRYING TO TAKE ANOTHER $500 FROM ME!!!And the phone doesn’t work. It’s just an automated response tree that has no option to speak to a real person. Seriously I tried calling multiple times and there’s no way to speak to a non-robot.DO NOT GO HERE!!!! THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY!!!!! DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! THEY WILL TAKE MONEY OUT OF YOUR ACCOUNT AND REFUSE TO GIVE A REASON WHY!!!!!

I have been to this place at least20 times and always brought large groups of friends with me and spent thousands of dollars however last night there was this terrible door guy at the club entrance and would not let us in but did let many others in. He would just randomly pick people and ask them for credit card and $200 weird and shady while others could get in for free. This was not a case of any guest list or anything and ive never had that issue before and weve spent an hour observing him. It was just whatever he felt like. So messed up to only require few people to pay and ask for money up front to get in. He lied and said everyone needs to pay so club can make money. We refused to do that as it felt super suspicious and weird so he told us to step away while letting hundred of people in relatively fast without paying. We were stunned. He was not checking any reservations or anything just letting in while maybe every 20th person hed stop and argue with them and ask for money. Super shady and dissapointing.

This place organizes pool parties but its a scam. All events are boring because even the party DJs play lounge. If you want a speakeasy instead of a pool party, its OK but they should advertise it that way.We had two horrible experiences there already. For the 4th of July party they didnt even put a flag decoration, zero, nothing, and they played lounge whole day. People went drunk then started boring and left. Its good for the DJ and their friends maybe...

Level 8 gives you the full experience in one! Restaurant, Speak Easy, DJ and Pool, Club, Live Entertainment all in the same space without having to leave the same floor!I started my birthday with Dinner at Que Bárbaro, we could not get seated until everyone arrived (be aware)if your having a large party, I suggest you give everyone an earlier time so that you don’t have to wait. Or meet everyone at the Speak Easy first or one of the other places at Level 8.Thankfully the speak easy Mr. Wanderlust is next to the restaurant , we had a drink and the piano music was amazing and we waited until the full party arrived. Once everyone arrived we went back to Que Bárbaro. Since everything is on the same floor, it was not a big deal to walk back to the restaurant. The food was very good and the desserts were delicious. We wondered over to Golden Hour, the outdoor pool with a DJ and plenty of room to find a place to socialize. Again, it’s super convenient as soon as you walk out of Que Bárbaro, you’ll see the pool area. We danced a little and by 10 pm, we went to the club Sinners & Santos. The music was great, a bit tight but a great experience.Negative- parking can be a nightmare. It’s located across the street from the convention center. So depending on what’s going on around the arena you may get crazy traffic. Parking at the location was $50, it was across from the hotel. The hole was not taking Valet at the time we arrived. This was 4th of July weekend. So not sure if this is normal. If you can Uber, I’d suggest you rideshare.- Que Bárbaro, was excellent. However, they won’t sit you until your entire party is there. We had 6/8 that were there and they wouldn’t sit us. Traffic was a nightmare because there was a concert and a large conference across the street.Despite the two issues, I highly recommend the place.

This is the kind of service I look for when making such a huge purchase. They took care of it right away. Oh so that you know, none of my items inside were damaged due to the corner damage.I am sure they will be upgrading this peice with corner guards/reinforcements so this doesnt happen again. But these guys are the real deal and this luggage I really love alot cuz it is so spacious and light weight. Food, atmosphere was very nice. Afterwards, we had reservations at Mr. Wanderlust Piano Bar/Jazz Lounge. What a bust! We had a reservation and were welcomed in by a staff member. We were given entrance to the bar area and sat down. Then about 5-10 minutes later we told by another staff member we had to leave this area and go back outside and wait 45 minutes later before we could be seated. Mind you we had a reservation which they said was honored. Dont think so and didnt appreciate that at all! We decided to leave. We can spend our money somewhere else. We had reservations at Lalola Rooftop but the rain that weekend impacted this experience. The atmosphere was nice! The AC Bar & Lounge was enjoyable, with great views.

I love what the Houston Brothers are working on & towards, they created A environment for everyone to be free, feel free & most importantly feel secure, the bouncer’s & security team might be the greatest team In the LA Metro Area, Based On Their Extreme Professionalism. My 1 Star Review is based solely on a bartender with a silver mohawk who decided that profiling was a better option than accessing, my first interaction with him was him telling me that I look like I need a water, when I explained that I was fine because I had a water in my hand, he told me I was being combative & I was 86’d, after I asked why he declined to explain, but the most hurtful thing was when I asked for transparency & he responded you don’t deserve transparency.

This place is incredible - the perfect blend of quintessential LA vibe and excellent food and service. And the decor is just out of this world - every detail is beautiful - I could just walk around and take in the tiles and wallpaper and fixtures like a museum. Ive now eaten at Lucky Mizu (so fun - and an eating experience with the Shabu Shabu) and Que Barbero which is super delicious South American food. Also had drinks at the spectacular Golden Hour roof top pool bar with the mesmerizing carousel looking decoration - its got a very hip and sceney vibe and it made me feel cool to be there even though Im not very cool. But I need to make a particular call-out - IVY! She was the maitre-d at Golden Hour when we went. She deserves that title as hostess undersells how she does her role. We had some challenges with our reservations and Ivy, despite being very busy, made me feel like I was her only customer at that moment - making sure to solve my problem and walk me to the other restaurant to make sure it was resolved - while she was resolving a few other reservation issues at the same time. And she kept checking on us to make sure we made it to our reservation on time. She is a lovely human and made the experience extra special. Thank you!!

Me and my best friend went to dinner at Level 8. Its this cool new swanky situation. Picture one floor with 8 different restaurants including hibachi, Latin-American, two rooftop bars, lounge, fire pits, girls with smoke coming out of their mouths. The whole 9! It was definitely some next level Tik-Tok wish and we had a good time at Que Barbaro. We started with the waygu empananadas, passion fruit sidecars. Jade had the branzino and I ordered the garlic prawns with creamy mashed potatoes. It was cool, Ill give it a 7/10. I do want to go back to try the hibachi restaurant. Apparently, its the most expensive Hibachi restaurant in the world and that alone has the food critic in me excited. My ONLY complaint is that the number goes to an automated system and that can be a little frustrating if you need to modify a reservation or call and say youre late OR like ask a question about parking. My other friend ended up turning around and going home b/c valet was full and the lot across the street and no one answered the phone to give her further direction.

I just noticed you guys have a dress code, unfortunately this was a friends plan to take me out since Ive been very depressed about my moms passing, so I decided to go out and it turns out I get kicked out like a criminal because the kind lady at the entrance allowed me to come in with my sleeveless t shirt, and the security boss or I dont know who that guy is, kicks me out, not even talking to me, not even explaining anything to my friend, just doing signs like this was prison, he only cared about telling the actually kind professional looking hostess off and humiliating me as I have never been rejected anywhere, moreover for my clothing, my t shirt may have no sleeves but it was the piece of art designer and friend CUBEL, opened his runway at the New York fashion show in 2021, anybody who knows about fashion would appreciate what I was wearing, however the guy in charge of the dressing code and the costumer service has no sense of fashion, no manners, no respect and of course no social skills, if theres such estrict dress code you as a company should start by having nicer looking staff with better clothes so it would be coherent the policy. Thanks for ruining my night I wont ever go to such status seeker food court. I have no problem following a dress code and it was my bad having worn my t shirt but the way I was treated was horrible, new rich, social climber and very primitive. A short training tot he people in charge of addressing these kind of issues would help a lot, specially if you guys are only interested in celebrity level patrons and dressing to impressing.
