Do yourself a favor and never go to this location. 1. Their membership is about $30 more than neighboring spots in MD and VA. 2. They some how decided to book me without my knowledge, then when I called them and asked why I got charged for a session, they said I booked it. I tried explaining my app has all my sessions and this was not one and would gladly show them, they did not want to listen. They said the manager would call, they didnt. 3. I get that going to massage envy is a mix bag of talent, and not every therapist is right for every person, but Ive never had a single session Ive enjoyed here.

Great staff at the Tenley location. Front desk is always welcoming and helpful and the therapists are all great! Been to Cynthia and Brandon most recently and regularly and they are fantastic for full body deep tissue.

It was my first experience, Never had massage. Oh my, It was the best massage ever. I never felt so good. From Head to Toe. Thank you Massage Envy. I will be back. My therapist was the best. I got a massage from Lamia on 9/10, and let me tell you she is AMAZING. My massages I like medium pressure and I’m so relaxed I fall asleep every time. After my massage I feel refreshed for the day! Safe to say I will be back! I have it 9 out of 10 because I need more massage time.

I had a great massage by Kimberly. She really worked out the knots in my shoulders from hours spent sitting at a desk all day. I would highly recommend her. Carol at the front desk was so sweet and friendly and very informative. Overall I had a great experience and will definitely be back.

Higor gave me an amazing deep tissue massage. He is truly gifted. Brianna (so?) was very kind at the front desk, especially afterwards when I def had “massage brain”! Thank you! I will be back.

Diane is hands down one of the most spectacular estheticians I have had the pleasure to work with to keep my skin at its best. She is communicative and knowledgeable and partners with you to achieve your skincare goals. I highly recommend her. You will not be disappointed.

Kim specializes lymphatic massages. I had inflammation in my ankle and a sinus infection which she able to both help drain and relieve. It is a spiritual experience.. She is excellent.

Honestly, the massage was great and I was considering changing to this ME to be my primary, BUT I was shortchanged with the time of the massage, so I don’t want to pay more money for less time.ME already continues to call it a “60 minute” massage with the asterisk stating that includes undressing and dressing time, so the massage will be 50 minutes. Fine, but then it needs to be 50 minutes. I was called back to my appointment a few minutes after the hour. When the masseuse left I got undressed and purposely checked my phone, it was 7 minutes after the hour. I then waited AT LEAST 2 minutes for them to return. When they finished, the minute they left the room I checked my phone and it was 53 after. At best that would’ve been 46 minutes, but was likely less than 45. I know they carry around a tablet with a timer on it, that does no good if they start it before the massage starts or ends the massage before the timer finishes.If you’re going to charge $100 for “60 minutes” don’t expect people to come back when they get only 3/4 of that.

Maryam is simply the best. She is a true professional: experienced, knowledgeable, warm and friendly. Highly recommend!!

First time with Tatanya but shes really good. I like that she can give a firm massage without digging her elbow into your back.

I recall that the person providing the massage identified himself as Orlando and not Brandon. He had the sniffles and ice cold hands. He left the room once, to “get more massage oil.” He kept pulling the sheets to straighten them out, which stirred the cold air around me. When he finished the massage. He abruptly stood and announced at the doorway, “Thank you and remember to drink lots of water.” And he was gone.

I had nothing but a positive experience from check in to check out. Tiffany did an excellent job being very communicative and professional. I will absolutely be back!

Kimberly was truly excellent. However the room was over air conditioned and even with the table at its highest heat setting it was still too cold. When I asked, they explained they could not control the air conditioning in the building. I’m disappointed because otherwise I’d be back.

Maryam was wonderful. This was my first time having a facial treatment, so I was a little scared. Maryam put my fears at ease and provided a relaxing and soothing experience. I think I almost fell asleep!

Dianne is a great esthetician. She always explains any new procedures and products. My skin looks and feels incredible after a facial with Dianne.

Alexander is a great massage therapist. I was very jacked up and tight after a few months of heavier travel and not taking good care of myself. I walked out of my session feeling like myself again

Diane is the best! She is a very knowledgeable esthetician and has wonderful caring hands.

Massage by Lamia was very good. Solid. But service levels and business savvy lacking. I was a guest of friend who is on their $100 subscription plan. The greeting was perfunctory by Lamia. Neutral not friendly. Not curious. Asked one question if what I wanted. No one offered upsell of hot towels or aromatherapy. At end the tipping system offered lowest tip of 20% of the retail price of $160 so if I did not read fine print I would have tipped $32! This is misleading and gives bad taste. As I was about to leave, front desk person made minor sales offer for $100 monthly membership. But it was really really weak. Hope was fantastic. From her ability to read what my body needs to the firm but soft touch (odd, I know), Hope is one of the best!

I just got my first back facial from Dianne yesterday and loved it! She is amazing at what she does! She always makes me feel relaxed and explained each step of the facial. The back facial included the back of course, neck, arms, and hands!She is a delight to speak with and carried an engaging, thoughtful, and intelligent conversation with me the entire time. There were no moments of awkward silence! Seriously, it’s like an 2 in 1 visit because it feels like a therapy session as well! Dianne is thoughtful and insightful about many aspects of life and current events! Leaving I felt calm and relaxed mentally and my skin felt amazing.I would highly recommend her!

Dianne is the best esthetician I have had the pleasure of receiving facial services from at a ME in MoCo. While I am not a “home” member of the TenleyTown ME, it’s a 45min drive (sometimes longer if I forget to put it in GPS & mistakenly take 355), and I have to pay the offsite fee (which in my opinion is simply wrong if you are a member. Corporate office should really reevaluate that policy.) i do it because of Dianne. Why? Because she knows skincare and how to bring out a beautiful, radiant, healthy glow for your skin. Bonus, her vibes are so pleasant…what you actually want for such an intimate (someone touching your face) service.

The massage therapists are great, compassionate, and truly care for their jobs. That being said the corporation and location here is absolutely trash. They double book appointments, and the workers struggle to give good treatment because they are intentionally understaffed by the company for better bottom lines. They dont adequately clean sheets or rooms in between workers, which has resulted in a bedbug infestation in the building! I received several unknown bites on my body the last day I was there, and when I was there today, I checked the sheets and mattress and lo and behold, I saw the little signs of them! Blood specks on sheets, that tell tale musty smell, and bedbug poop stains on the underside of the tables.This needs to be addressed immediately! This is a health and safety issue!

Lamia was great, she helped me after I had come in from a long flight, even recommended a great place to for Indian food and dish she liked. She made my night, completely relaxed me and my tense sore muscles.

The staff is great and Hope was a very attentive and quality therapist. It was the first massage Ive had with her and one of the best I’ve had in a while!

Outside service!!! Diane is the best! She is the reason that I have been faithfully coming for the past 5 years. My skin is so beautiful and radiant. I also recommend the products. They are expensive but so so worthy

Great experience every time I see Maryam. My skin looks beautiful after every visit with her. She is well knowledgeable about skin care. Very friendly, patient, professional and kind.I drive for 1 hour to go to her and never add any regrets.

Orlando was a really talented deep tissue masseuse —very strong, intuitive in finding the tight, constructed places, thorough, very therapeutic.

Tatyana was great, the session was well-curated to my preference and she gave me a few tips on routine exercises that could help keep me in good shape.

This is a such a luxurious location. Everything is so clean and organized. Staff is so friendly. Highly recommend Lamia for you massage - she is awesome! As always, will be back!

Dianne was great, she makes me feel special, she takes her time to explain the facial treatments and listens to your concerns. If you have skin problems she will give you advice on what to do after your facial for your daily routine. She suggests products to buy from the shop, excellent service.

Isabelle is the best. If you have any baby showers on the calendar, buy mom a prenatal massage with her. Game changer!

I initially picked 1pm for my massage booking. But the website, despite saying it was available, later said it wasnt and nudged me to choose another time. So, I went for 3:30pm and got a confirmation page to add it to my calendar.Then, surprise! I got a call saying I had two appointments. The website sneakily booked me for 1pm without a confirmation page or an email. When I asked to cancel the accidental 1pm booking and keep the intentional 3:30pm one, they said Id be charged for both! They wanted the full amount ($165) for the 1pm and the upcoming 3:30pm. Plus, they have this 24-hour cancellation policy. Even though I booked early in the morning, they still planned to charge me for their website screw-up. The manager is ridiculous and did not care to take accountability or give an understanding to their website issues so I did not care to pay for a service I did not receive.I changed my card number immediately. No way am I paying for that customer service.

Orlando (Brandon) always does an amazing job. I arrived with several pain points but upon leaving my pain was eliminated. Hands down the best massage therapist I’ve had thus far.

Maryam is awesome! She is very knowledgeable and thorough with her explanations about skincare.The 90 minute factual has my skin glowing. Several people complimented me and asked what is my skincare routine. Of course, I recommended Maryam at ME!

I had a 90 minute facial with Maryam and it was one of the best facials I have ever gotten! She cleansed, exfoliated, applied special masks while replacing warm towels on my neck and shoulders. It was such a relaxing spa experience!! She massaged my hands, neck and head so it was a magnificent experience I highly recommend!!

While I found my massage to be extremely sub par (especially given the price and requests for hard pressure), the front desk team was very friendly and supportive.Also, I would suggest they adjust their text messaging system as receiving reminders of open appointment slots should not be the same number where you receive massage reminders. I had opted out due to the continued messages received regarding open appointments, which resulted in my massage confirmation not be provided (was advised they don’t call or email at this location) and me missing my massage and being charged. Just days prior I had broken my ankle in another country…there was so much going on between trying to figure out getting back to the US, going to the doctor, and scheduling my surgery, that this reminder was key and ultimately largely to blame for me not being reminded of my appointment so I could cancel more than two hours in advance. As a note, even my account didn’t show this appointment. Very confusing and messy to say the least.

I really enjoy having Diane during my facials. She is very kind and always makes me feel beautiful. She gives great skincare recommendations and notes the difference in skin the next time you see her.

Fabulous massage with Lamia and facial with Diane H. Manager Tamera addressed a small concern I had and I left very happy thanks to her handling it professionally and courteously. I will return to this location even though it is not the closest to my residence.

Chaowei is such a fantastic therapist! He is professional and thorough. His technique is superb. Not sure her name but I had a very pleasant conversation with the front desk woman. She was very informative and courteous and I really appreciate all the assistance she gave me. Kudos to a great team. I love this location!

Great service from Brandon - loved my 90 minute session.One of the best ME locations I’ve been to. The service is always friendly and the front desk staff always go out of their way to be helpful event those that are obviously new and learning.I LOVE the option to receive text messages when there are openings. It helps me use up my points and schedule some self-care spontaneously. If I don’t want the notifications I just mute the chat and get to it in my own time. It also shows the owner’s care for her team - which I very much respect.

Here again to report Danielle as the worst manager and professional. Since I moved to DC and I started to go to this location she has been nothing but unpleasant. Today as soon as I got in she had an attitude and didnt even greet me. I am a paying customer and her customer service is the worst I have seen. Not sure how an owner has someone like that running out customers. I have been in massage envy for 3.5 years and now I am moving to another place. I had requested a cancelation form on my previous visit, today instead of telling me herself if i wanted to sign the form when she was at the front desk,saw me come in and didnt greet me, she asked one of her staff members to call me as soon as I walked out of the door. Wow thats a manager that doesnt even handle customers, very inmature. Its a pity because Chawoei and Diane are excellent but I am not paying a membership to be treated by a unprofessional manager the way she wants.

Dianne will listen to what her clients are hoping to achieve. She will carefully evaluate your skin and then makes her recommendation. I saw an improvement after my first treatment and my skin further improved following her post-treatment care instructions. She is great!

I’ve been seeing Dianne for facials every 2 months over the past year and she has done an amazing job.I use to have scars and acne marks on my face that started to diminish quickly within the first 2-3 months. For facials the best of the best is Dianne. Only suggestion was is to leave less time for changing and more massage time, especially, especially, especially if you leave more time for women over men. I have a feeling you do and that policy if it’s the case is sexist.

I had the most wonderful massage with Isabelle. Medium to deep pressure and found my problematic areas. Also, she was was really diligent in her draping which (as a modest person) I very much appreciated. 10/10 recommend!

I have been a client of massage envy for 4 years. Today is my birthday and I took the day off to get a massage. Unfortunately, the experience wasnt the best. Everyone at that location is very professional with the exception of the manager Danielle. She is never pleasant, when you ask her a question she is rude its like you are bothering her. I dont understand how an owner has someone like that managing when she has zero customer service skills. When I got there Chaowei the person i get the massage from wasnt there. Turns out he got the day off and no one let me know. When Hope showed up I asked where Chawoei was and Danielle with a tense confrontational manner told me it was his day off and pretty much get it with hope or nothing. I said, the correct way is for you to.let me know in advance for me to make a desicion if I want to reschedule. She said who did you talk to, lady I dont work.there I dont know peoples names also I scheduled my massage weeks ago how can I remember?. So instead of been pleasant and give a solution she said I dont asked you if you work here. So I took a massage already with the bad taste in my muouth. Then when I was leaving she rudely corrected me while walking away on how to pronounce Chaowei name. She should not be working there. Her own team was embarrassed for her. Diane, hope, Chawoei are very professional and will lose clients because off Danielle s lack of professionalism and customer service ability. This massage is $100+ and overall the unpleasant experience made it unworthy.

He us good really works your back, but he does nothing for the shoulders. I tried him because I couldnt get in with Hope who is who is my go to person. He really did excellent with the back, but when it came to the front and the shoulders was not impressed. I love the location and the staff are all very friendly

Massage Envy in Tenleytown is welcoming, clean, and peaceful. It’s also close to my house. My masseuse is friendly and competent. At ME Tenleytown I get exactly what I need. A good massage. So I can be the happiest and most performant person I can be.

Deanna is wonderful with great skills as an esthetician and skin counselor. Her key strengths are dermaplaning and oxygenation facials

They will charge you a 50% cancellation fee to move your appointment to another available time if its within 24 hours of the appointment. This type of policy shows you how much this business values and respects their customers.

This by far was one of the best massages I have had here st This location. They charged me a 30 dollar transfer fee which I thought was assault without battery lol, but I went away pleased with the massage by Brandon.

Awful experience! I have been going to Massage Envy since 2014 while I was still in law school, I was working part-time at a clinic in South Carolina. I have been to clinics all over the country but this is the WORST.For weeks I was getting daily text messages from this clinic about cancelations and openings so I opted out of receiving text messages. Unfortunately, I did not know I was opting out of getting text updates about my appointments. I was scheduled for a facial last week, January 6, 2023 at 6:00 pm. I called to cancel my appointment at 6:28 pm the day before - after having not received the text reminder, I remembered on my own and called to cancel. I was not feeling well and did not want to get anyone sick. I was told that I would be charged for the session if it does not get booked because I did not call more than 24 hours in advance (I called approximately 23.5 hours in advance). I asked the young lady on the phone whether that sounded fair to her - my calling less than 30 minutes prior would have made the difference of whether I was charged a cancelation fee. She caught a little attitude and said that she was just telling me the policy and that was all she had for me. I requested that a manager call me, that has not happened yet. It was just a wildly unprofessional experience. Massage Envy in general has declined, so I would honestly avoid and go to a private therapist.

The entire staff from greeters to professionals were wonderful and skill. The stretch therapist Briana is amazing and I havent felt this good in a year. Her artistry was so wonderful that am more flexible after one session and am going back for more. The back facial by Brenda was great also and she was very informational about the other services she renders and their benefits. I am glad they are in my neighborhood.

I’ve booked at this location now three times and have had my appointments cancelled twice the day of. I’ve had to book appointments more than a month out and it’s incredibly disappointing to be cancelled last minute. This location charges higher than other MEs in the area and their ability to follow through with scheduled appointments is abysmal. If I didn’t have so many massages banked I would leave this franchise. Unfortunately, I continue to pay a monthly membership and keep accruing massages that I can’t use.

Our daughter tested for covid this morning so my wife called to cancel her appointment. Brittany at the front desk said that she can not come in and that we will be charged in full for the appointment. She is only going because we received a gift certificate. The massages aren’t that good and the place isn’t nice.

Isabel is pretty much a magic worker! Her work has me walking because she’s helped me through multiple injuries over the las year and I’m finally able to start running again!

Hope was amazing! She took the time and care to ensure I had the best experience possible. I left feeling so much better.

I’m a member and have been visiting this location for over a year. On this occasion I was unable to make my appointment as I indicated via text and called the store. On the day of the appointment after receiving a call from Danielle asking for my eta- I returned the call and shared that no I wouldn’t make it and that I had texted and called. I asked if I would be charged a half credit. Danielle explained that it would be a full credit but she was so incredibly rude and short with me about it - it was unreasonable. She is not the person who should be greeting guests.

Ive been enjoying their services for many years. Ive never had anything other than stellar service.

I had a great massage with Stephanie, which was just what I needed. She was really thorough, made sure the pressure was right, and that she addressed any issues I was having. The people at three front desk are nice and helpful, and the place is peaceful and relaxing. Id never been to a Massage Envy before, but I was impressed.

Booked my husband a massage for his birthday at the Tenleytown “Massage Envy” location. Trying to book the appointment during Covid with only a weeks advance notice; I had a few concerns before his appointment.......However, now I have to say everything was perfect and not only was he impressed with his “That felt bomb” massage but he also enjoyed his masseuse Hope. Furthermore, he also appreciated the clean environment and excellent customer service... which was a perfect start to his day. Left happy!! and now massage envy members. Thank you

I recently had a massage at massage envy at this location. The massage therapist that I used frequently left so I decided to give another massage therapist an opportunity. What a mistake, can you believe the massage therapist didnt even know his body parts when I asked him to focus on a certain area. My advice to you is all massage therapist are not the same and some people dont value what they do, I couldnt communicate with the guy and what he called a deep tissue massage an 80-year-old lady could have done that. It was really disappointing, one high note is the customer service up front is great.I really dont know about this location if you can you should try somewhere else Ill never go there again.

Chaowei was very skilled and patient when using the hot stones to ensure I did not burn making the experience very relaxing.

Isabelle provides a fantastic massage that I find very relaxing.

Lamia was great. She listened to what I wanted worked on for session and really helped to relieve the pain I had in those areas

Hope is nothing short of a massage magician and is the best massage therapist I’ve had in quite awhile. She never disappoints.

This is the most UNPROFESSIONAL Massage Envy location that I have ever experienced! I will NEVER be back and I highly advise against this location. From being hung up on by the customer service representative to having my appointment canceled just 30 minutes before my appointment on my birthday and given no form of decency or even accommodation on said failed service they will never be receiving another dime from me. Horrible customer service, horrible communication and all together just the worst operation. NEVER AGAIN will I dial their number.

They are extremely unprofessional, their payment plan that they had was shutdown during the start of the pandemic, started back up and they refuse to let me out of my contract!! Also the masseuse who gave me my last massage snapped something in my neck and I haven’t been able to sleep the same since! I believe they thought it was a “deep tissue” but more of deep pain.Please do not go here.

This place is the worst! I made an appointment several weeks ahead of time for myself and my daughter. A few days later they left a message bumping is from the appointment, because the therapist was no longer available. When I called to reschedule the person in the phone could not have been less interested in finding a solution. We were not able to make an appointment after nearly 10 minutes so now I guess Im not going to ever have an appointment there! Too bad because the location is convenient for me and I could have become a regular customer. Work on customer service!

Made an appointment months in advance for a couples massage. Even called and let them know Ill be arriving in 15 minutes before the appointment the day of. Got there on time with my girlfriend and then they say that the only couples room which was booked for us was just randomly taken by someone else only a few minutes ago without reservations. And that it would be at least an hour until theyre done.They even rushed and said that we would have to split up immediately for our massage and that if we waited our time would be counting down. The compensation was a free enhancement for the oil, which is free if you checked in on Yelp anyway. The staff who took our room wasnt even reprimanded. So those who plan to come here just beware that your appointments and reservations can completely change or be canceled for no reason.

Massage Envy is ok. Like with any service you have to find someone whos services you like. Its often hard to get an appointment. I have a membership that expires in one month and Im not motivated to renew. I have tried massages, rapid tension relief and a facial. The facial was amazing! The massages are ok. The enhancements are ok. Theres nothing mind-blowing about the experiences that Ive had. Ive been to several locations and theyre all about even when it comes to service.

I got a membership in Jan 2020 right before the pandemic. my membership contract states it is effective from 1/2020-2/2021. as of April 2021, they are still taking my $80 for an overpriced facial with no sunscreen afterwards. what licensed esthetician doesn’t use sunscreen on their client.i’ve talked to amina 3x today and the last time we spoke she hung up on me. they will not send me the part of the contract that states i have to make 12 payments, not the length of time stipulated in the contract. they are shady and extort people!!

I got there and they had canceled my session on me. Never called me. Never sent me any texts. I just showed up and I wasn’t on the schedule. Easy way to get a bad review IMO. Lol

I Visited this Tenleytown location 11/30 I get a call yesterday and miss call 12/29/2017 and call back I was put on hold and had to hang up I was out country returning to USA and I get call today 12/30 that I was Book for two hours for appointment that I did not schedule the Director of location get on the phone I explain to her situation and still blame me for the error that their employee mistake and they will charge two hours session. I understand that they are in for business but I DIDNT SCHEDULED THAT Appointment they can take the money I Email to cancel my membership.

Chao Wei is one of my absolute favorite therapists.he has very unique techniques that help tremendously.

I would watch out for this con-job of a company. They take a monthly fee, keep charging you no matter what and then if you stop payments because you have to many massage points and you can not use what you have already paid for unless you agreed to a $10 monthly maintenance fee, just to use your own money. Ohh and there is $0 policy for refunds of unused money. Thy make millions for no service rendered. Buyer beware. Go somewhere else.

The monthly membership is a SCAM! There is no reason why the time period has lasted and payments are still being charged to my account. The lack of communication and endless back and forth with no real solution is infuriating and quite frankly very insulting to customers who have committed to a membership in the first place. This issue needs to be fixed, it happens way too often!

Nonsense…These people must have lost their mind, to tell me what they will do and won’t do with my face…And they do NOT quit explain things…

Went there for a free massage... turns out it was not free at all. the guy who sold us the membership gave us a WRONG information. Worse part was he was at the back office but he never came at the front desk to apologize! called the manager to clarify but never called us back. Too bad they have good therapist but customer service is POOR!
