5606 Nails and Spa Washington DC

Very unfortunate to see my acrylics break and fall off after only 5 days!!! This was my prom set and I was really happy with them the first day. Now after a few days, two of them have cracked and one fell off!!! Same experience with the friends I got my nails done with!

Very sad gel manicure- polish all over the edges of my fingers. Tech spent much of the time trimming the errant polish away, also trimming my skin with it (ouch)saying “your nails are short” (they’re not). So very sloppy. I’m still trying to get a lot of it off. She even took out the file and removed her own polish off the top to fix an error and tried to correct it- could see later in the sunlight the scuffs. I should feel pretty when leaving the salon, not frustrated that I have to fix someone else’s work.

This is a saloon you must go. Friendly, skilled ladies, I leave there feeling a million dollars. Tris is the one I go and love her! But I never had a bad experience with any of the others. See my today’s powder nails!The picture did not do justice! 😥

Just did my manicure gel and waxing for my eyebrows and I love them. I dont get why I didnt come before, I leave nearby but I know is easy to park around. I will definitely be back 😍🙌🏼

I love coming here specifically for Lisa, I have grown very fond of her and her work!All the dip work she does doesn’t disappoint and she really tries to give you what you ask for!-Eileen

The staff is very kind and they work quickly, but the downside is every time I have gone there for a gel manicure it has chipped within two days, when it is supposed to last two weeks. Not worth the money, unfortunately.

At the risk of exposing my gem of a nail salon— my favorite place to get my nails done in DC. I happily drive out of my way twice a month for my manis and pedis here :)

I recommend this place even though I’m given three stars there was some type of confusion about the cost of my service the last time I went which was quite embarrassing. I am a fellow nail tech so today I didn’t need any design I didn’t need any extras all I needed was a simple fill in and a reshaping. Not even base gel topcoat or anything like that was used. When I went to the register the manager told me a price of $53. Which was extremely incorrect know color acrylics may consist of black dark purples and so forth normally neutral colors or base colors that the nail tech there self has suggested to the client are not considered extra when getting a fill-in they did not specify that on there price list for services and when I was trying to explain that to the individual the manager at the register he showed me away and shoved my change in my hand which I had no problem with giving the technician the seven dollars change but we’re not gonna overprice me so he went from $53-$47 I just suggest as a consumer that you check the price this for yourself and make sure that you are getting your moneys worth my full set with design a French tip design with extra lines and stuff cost me $63 how a simple fill In what cost $53 no my nails are not long they’re between medium and short list they’re not even two magnets long I have magnets in my house they’re not even two magnets long I can take a picture and post it which I should because as a consumer you have to protect yourself in your pocket we’re living in times where is though we just have to protect ourselves and I am certain that the nail tech didn’t get the tip I would have no problem even give me the nail set a $10 tip but you’re not going to overprice me Shani and then I’m a leave a tip it was very disrespectful and embarrassing but they do Dugan nails but check the price list and make sure

This is a longstanding quiet neighborhood nail salon that is patronized by the Chevy Chase DC neighborhood. Everyone in the salon is great so if you walk in youll be well served. Ask for Kim, shes new, looking for clients and good with every style of nails.

Clean, well-lit space with well-trained, expert, friendly staff. I’ve come here with my daughters for 20 years and always come back! Lovely color selection and sweet people. Highly sanitary.

My feet were horrible… almost embarrassed to go to the salon!I was greeted at the door by a very warm and friendly man, Vin. My pedicure was excellent (done by Le) and my feet look amazing.I highly recommend the Nail Spa on Connecticut Avenue!

Such a comfortable place! And no smell I usually associate with nail salons, so no headache. Great care with the pedicure, I listened to a story on my phone and was able to relax. Best nail place Ive visited. Oh, and a reasonable price, too!

Staff is always so kind and sweet. Quinn does my nails and she is incredible. very fast and really good at details. a little pricy but really worth it. manicure lasts for many weeks. totally recommend coming here :)

Sadly Had to stop coming here last week when my nail tech and I agreed I need my nails snort enough to make a fist for work purposes, then she switched up at the end and changed the price. Not worth it anymore, they are nice people though!

Quinn Le did my manicure. I brought in a book cover to use as inspiration for the design, she listened to what I wanted and did a great job. I was seen timely and the host and all the staff I interacted with were kind. The place is well kept and clean.

Big fan! Quinn is especially talented at doing dip and acrylics. They never look chunky and she is able to do great designs. The atmosphere is not too loud and the place always looks clean.

Quin did my nails on the 14th of July…French manicure full set. By end of week one the French tips were peeling. Before two weeks, the nails started lifting.*EDIT* After leaving a kind message for me to contact them, the salon contacted me to let me know they would only redo my nails in exchange for me taking down my review and proceeded to threaten me. I asked what time I could come in, and was told I cant come until I remove the review. They also let me know my one star review wouldnt do anything to them, to which I responded my aim was not to do anything to them but to express my dissatisfaction. As I am typing this, two of the nails have already fallen off. So I will be taking my business elsewhere.

The absolute worst place I’ve ever been as she was finished every toe nail was crooked not square like I asked I have to go tomorrow n refix what this lady fixed .,. Will never go back there again

I had an amazing experience here! Le did my nails and did an excellent job. I then had a design out on them and they put a rhinestone on. Ive never had them do that! Great job and only $36 for all of it. I will be coming back.

Nails started flying off by day 4, they are always looking for ways to increase your price, lying about prices and changing them as they please. Funny they think they can be IG nail techs running business out of place like this lol

After years of being in DC and having no luck with nail techs, Ive finally found one that I love and her name is Tris Le! Tris takes her time and you can tell that she considers this a craft and not just a job. She is very detailed and attentive to your needs. Even though the location is a bit out of the way for me, Im willing to make the drive because I know quality is promised. Thanks Tris!

Perfect - thankfully. I moved up town a few years ago about the time the nail salon further south opened. Since it is closer I went there. They got progressively worse and worse. I kept trying and trying to explain to them what I wanted but they never understood me. They dont speak to you - as if theyre scared to. So I went to this place further north and they did a great job. I could get a french gel manicure without it looking terrible. They dont over file my nails. All in all brilliant. Theyre my new nail salon.

After paying 72.00 for gel manicure and a pedicure plus I was nice enough to give a 20.00 tip. On may 25th 2022.. by may 29 th my gel manicure was peeling off.. Most of the time my gel manicure last over 2 weeks.. I am so disappointed..

I’ve had such a great time each visit. Lisa does my dip manicures expertly and consistently.

Patience is not a virtue here. I have tried having my nails done by at least four different technicians. Each time it appears they refuse to cover my entire nail with polish. Sometimes the polish doesnt reach the side edges. Most consistently this shop has technicians that refuse to have the nail polish meet the cuticle. I can regularly see through the space left between the nail polish and find that little half moon at the base of the cuticle. I have tried to draw their attention to it. I have tried to ask for three coats. I have left unhappy and returned an hour later just indignant at paying for bad work. Once, I had a refill on acrylics. I saw the gap between the acrylic and my cuticle. I left mad. Returned an hour later. Spoke to a senior technician and she tried to explain to me well, after a week your nail grows and I stopped her and said... this was done today. She proceeded to nod her head and I had to return to an angry technician who didnt appreciate the critique. I wanted this to be my nail shop but I cant return again. Some staff are super sweet though!!!!

I had a manicure that lasted 10 minutes followed by polish for 5 minutes and then drying for about 5-10 minutes. I was expecting more but maybe that’s how they do it there.

I had an hour to kill recently before catching a flight out of DC, and while running errands I thought I would give this a shot. They made my worn feet look great and took good care of me! Very friendly and clean.

I really like this place. It’s clean and the staff are friendly.

Asked for short coffin nails and my nails almost came out looking almond shaped. None of the nails looked the same and The polish was messy and left around the skin of my nails. I was charged $62 for them.

First time but it won’t be our last. Very inviting and was attentive to our desires. Le and Quinn are fabulous! Totally recommended.

They are always wonderful, accommodating and friendly. This is the only place I will go for pedicures. Ms. Le is phenomenal!

Very unhappy with my nails . I do not apply nail polish to my finger nails . the manicure did not adequately remove the dead skin around my nails and within 3 days my nails look as if i need manicure for weeks. it was waste of my time and money.
