I recently had the pleasure of visiting Echostage, and I can confidently say it lives up to its reputation as the #1 venue in America. From the moment you step inside, youre greeted with an atmosphere that exudes energy and excitement. The layout is thoughtfully designed with two bars, one on each side of the club, ensuring that you never have to wait long for a drink. The bartenders are skilled and efficient, and the selection of beverages is impressive. One of the standout features of this venue is the cleanliness. The bathrooms are always spotless, which is a significant plus in any entertainment venue. It shows the clubs commitment to providing a top-notch experience for its patrons.Safety is clearly a priority at Echostage. With both medic and security personnel on site, you can enjoy your night out with peace of mind. The presence of these professionals adds an extra layer of reassurance that you’re in good hands. The overall vibe of the club is electric, with great music, a lively dance floor, and a crowd that knows how to have a good time. Its no wonder this place has been voted the best in America. If youre looking for a night out that combines fun, safety, and excellent service, Echostage is the place to be. Highly recommended
Posting this way after the event, but it still needed to be said… Echostage proved to be the perfect venue for an unforgettable night out seeing DJ Diesel. The cleanliness and safety of the venue were immediately apparent, creating a welcoming environment where you could really let loose and enjoy the music. The show itself was phenomenal, a truly electrifying experience that felt like a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. DJ Diesels performance was nothing short of spectacular, with a vibe that was both intense and exhilarating. The energy in the room was palpable, driven by thumping beats and a crowd that was completely in sync with the music. Im thrilled I seized the chance to be part of such an amazing event. Echostage delivered on all fronts, making it not just a great venue for a night out, but a memorable part of the experience.
Venue is nice. It was easy to get to and get into the building. I think they have parking right next to it too. Large pit floor in in front of the stage with bars on both sides. Theres also and upstairs portion in the area people can go up, its further back though from the stage itself. They also had a section for Accessible persons. Sound from the performances was nice as well. Service here was great too. Id recommend going to this venue if youre looking to attend a concert. One issue is transportation after, if youre looking for an Uber or Lyft theyre typically really expensive after the shows so Id recommend having a plan in place before hand. Another recommendation is finding secure parking as opposed to parking on the side of the street to avoid any issues with break-ins that have been happening in the area.
I have been here a bunch, but one bad experience early last year left a horrible taste in my mouth. I rated Echo 3 stars because of that time. I almost decided to never go back, but with too many good artists going through there, Ive been back a few times anyway. My most recent time was a week ago, and the experience I had that night was enough for me to come back to this page, and change my review. The staff on February 24, 2024 were phenomenal! I had one of the best nights of my entire life, and the staff there that night were a big part of that experience! Between the friendly security at the door, and the super awesome bartender that served me, I was able to fully enjoy the show I went for. This will be a night I can look back on and smile forever. Thanks Echostage!
Walked up to the bar and thought i would be a nuisance asking for water but the bartender greeted me and was more than willing to get my girlfriend and I some water. The security was handing out water and throwing out trash, and the venue sounds and looks amazing. What a pleasant experience. Wish more venues had this hospitality and consideration.
I say 3.8 out of 5, the bathroom is good. Party goes crazy, too much sweats love the waters the workers r super nice. We need a resting place for people. Also please install a big fan or expensive AC. Rest r frickin amazing.
Where do I begin… This is a seriously great night club and definitely worthy of being on DJ Mag’s Top 10 list yearly. It’s clean, the sound system is really good (bass is clear but it would be nice if there was a bit more like Flash or Culture), the mens room has like 40 urinals and 20 stalls, the bar is the length of the dance floor so you can get a drink if you’re near the front or back, the entrance to the bathrooms is at the front and the back so you don’t have to fight to get back to your friends, usually these clubs are hot but they blast A/C and it’s probably keeping this venue at 65degrees it’s perfect for dancing and not sweating, there were medics walking around the crowd making sure people weren’t passed out etc, they were also handing out free waters, also there were cases of water on the way out. Highly reccomend! Would love more clean bass 👍
No view of the stage unless you pay for balcony, no parking, overpriced drinks, this place is only for edm concerts and their light shows were bad. weirdly their screens have cutouts in the middle so you still cant see the artist??? also the dj between the opener and main attraction was horrible played elevator music.
One of the best indoor concert venues Ive ever been to. Great staff and organization we felt safe and comfortable the entire time. We were impressed specifically by the security, it was very thorough. The bathrooms had tons of stalls and apparently a bunch of urinals. There was candy and mints in the bathroom for sale and also the bar was a long the entire length of the venue so you could always get drinks. Also free ice water and water bottles! Show was absolutely amazing and we enjoyed it without having to worry about the environment.
This venue is amazing...extremely spacious, has amazing lighting & an incredible sound system. The only issue is that there are too many people, not enough trash cans (tons of trash on the floor) and the crowd (on the lower level) can feel a bit unsafe. However, I was comforted seeing MPD and EMTs, everywhere, just in case...A fight did break out, next to me, but I was able to duck it.I was dancing, so much, some of the EMTs handed me a water bottle (2x actually), which was a nice gesture.I will DEFINITELY be going back!Although I do wish there was some seating, on the lower level. I was exhausted, but my friend wanted to (attempt to) keep dancing.
The parking people in yellow shirts sucked but the others were super nice. Also hilarious to see people think they could get away with underage drinking when security is TIGHT. Had a great time dancing and just enjoying the night 💓
This is the absolute worst music venue I have ever been to. I have been to several venues around the country, and this venue continues to be the worst. Its overcrowded unless you want to pay a ridiculous price for VIP. The drinks are super overpriced, and there is absolutely no parking unless you want your car broken into. Also, security is backing, and bartenders dont know when to cut people off, which causes problems for the other patrons there to have a good time. I will not waste anymore of my money here. Do better echostage...
I have been to Echostage numerous times over the last decade. I am a frequent visitor in 2023. The club is wonderful with state of the art sound and lighting system. They frequently bring in the best DJs known around the world. People have a good time. Security is good and I feel safe even in a large crowd. The negatives are this: Parking is extremely expensive. It is best to ride share. Street parking is available but the neighborhood is known to be unsafe. Drinks at Echostage are overpriced. Ticket prices went up significantly since the new ownership took over. It costs me over $100 every time I go with Uber and ticket. BUT I am glad that we have Echostage. I wish there was some kind of a frequent guest membership.
Went there for the first time with my wife and we both had an okay time. The music was loud, which we didnt mind. We both brought earplugs and plus, who doesnt like some extra bass. The prices were as expected of any nightclub. The production was amazing. Ive been to quite a few EDM nightclubs and this is certainly up there with the best. The crowd had to be our biggest gripe. Extremely crowded and not a single person had a lick of manners or plur. We had an instance where this couple forced their way forward into a spot that didnt even exist. They then proceeded to dance wildly by dropping to the floor and pushing people around them. Almost knocking people over in the process. The solution was to just find a new spot. It felt like every spot we went to people would force their way through without saying excuse me or sorry. We were fortunate to eventually find a nice spot in the back with a little space (seen in video.) Eventually, we found a nice spot by the shufflers and merch spot (seen in the picture). We were able to dance with limited limitations but sacrificing the production and view.Once the main act was over, the crowd cleared out and the vibes were much better. I still managed to have a good time and would give it another chance if I was back in D.C., but I wouldnt go out of my way to do so.
The security team here needs to be retrained. I understand and appreciate what they do and the importance of keeping people safe. But I can say with full confidence that grabbing and fondling my breasts is not keeping anyone safe. It was a jarring experience that ruined the rest of my night and has made me uninterested in ever returning to this venue. Not to mention the drinks are outrageously over priced and poorly made. I will not be coming back and will be discouraging any of my friends, particularly my female friends, to ever attend any events here.
To;dr- EMT crew good, Security crew needs work. Regardless of crowd, they need coaching. The EMT crew was cool, but the security guy put his hands on me while I was trying to get back to my friend in the medic area. When I asked him not to put his hands on me, he replied with “what are you gonna do about it?” This venue needs to coach its security employees on how to handle stress. If they lose their temper at the slightest amount of stress, they need to be let go or further trained. (Review by someone who worked in public safety, specifically crowded venues).
Echostage stands as the ultimate music haven in DC, reigning supreme as the largest venue. While EDM takes the spotlight, it graciously embraces various genres and artists. The VIP section boasts numerous tables with a stellar view of the stage and the sprawling dance floor. The dazzling light show and potent speakers create an epic audio-visual experience. Dont forget its sibling, Soundcheck, a smaller gem under the Club Glow Insomniac banner.
This place is amazing. Large space thats well thought out. You were never too far from the bar and clean bathrooms. The hubby and I flew in from Ft. Lauderdale to see Madeon. Wow. The front door staff wasnt the best but the rest of the staff and location made up for that. We took a Lyft to the location. We arranged for ADA access which was in a great spot on the second level next to VIP. The guard who manned the VIP section made us feel so special. He was great! They even have a guard turn on a flashlight when using the stairs. Loved it. The bartender was friendly and helpful. Guards/event staff gave our free water too. So appreciated. Had an amazing time and was wished a safe ride home and thanked for coming on our exit. Thank you for making the night so special, Echostage.
The biggest electronic venue in the DMV doesnt need to be most crowded, either. It gets worse every year. You can see the annoyance on the faces of others as they get pushed around or cant move. Probably the last time Im going, so I guess thats one less person to be squeezed.
One of the best concert venues I’ve ever been to. Clean, safe, friendly staff, not a bad view from pretty much anywhere. Both cool temperature & factor wise! Went to see Sean Paul last night & I hope to come back from PA soon. 😎🖤🎶🎵🎤
This venue is great, and my first visit this past weekend was one of my favorite concerts of all time seeing Two Friends (NOTD opened and were also amazing). The venue is ideal for EDM shows with the lighting layout (seriously insane lasers and lighting!).There is no seating if you are in GA, but the size of the venue ensures everyone has a good view even in the back. If you do want to sit, bottle service upstairs on the terrace is ridiculous and the views from there are also insane! We already had GA tickets but since it is my boyfriends fav, (I also love Two Friends) I decided to get us a table, one thing I learned is that concert admission is included so if you missed out on tickets to a show you REALLY want to see, you can get a group of friends and get a table that includes concert admission. I loved the bottle service, large leather couch like seating, and our server was a peach! The bathrooms are large and I never waited in line to use the bathroom (yes the ladies room had no lines) and the show was packed. The venue is out there and not located near much, so keep that in mind with planning since leaving and grabbing an Uber or Lyft can be a challenge if you don’t keep this in mind with the time you leave. All in all this was a great venue to see a show and I’d love to come back to see another show!
Almost guaranteed to not have a view of the artist. People are rude. Its too hot, to the point that people regularly pass out. All because they consistently overbook shows and cram as much people in as possible. Also the surrounding area is very sketchy and you have to take your chances in the neighborhood or with the shady parking services. Definitely a venue for the young.
First time checking out this music venue space in DC. I loved the big space for DC standards. Multiple levels with plenty of bathrooms and attendants working the bathrooms too. Went to DC capital pride event and it was nice. Overall, plenty of staff to ensure your safety and good lighting along with DJs. It’s a great place to have a club night in the area.
I am not a fan of Echostage. The venue itself is clean and organized but the staff is insufferable. Every single person I encountered had a rude and overly aggressive attitude. I don’t understand why people continue to work customer service jobs and they don’t want to actually help or be kind to people. I was leaving the event a little early and my friend asked a security guard if he could walk me to catch an Uber. The security guard kind of yelled at him multiple times saying no (no re-entry). While, I understand policies yelling with an overly aggressive tone is unnecessary. Also, provide an alternative solution. As a woman if my concern is safety while waiting for my car, is there a secure area I can wait for my Uber? Seems like most people who work at this venue lack problem solving skills. I probably won’t be coming back to another event here.
Used to be good but has gone downhill the last 2 years. Shows are consistently oversold, security is rude, and parking has gotten too expensive. Bar service is slow (too few bartenders) and orders are usually wrong.
Had a great time. Went to see Carl Cox, he was awesome. Echostage is a great place. The staff there does a great job taking care of the guest. Definitely a large area. Ive been there twice now and had a great time both times. They were passing out free Waters at the front to make sure everybody was staying hydrated. The restrooms were easily accessible and considering very well maintained. The staff up front was very professional. And the wait was not too long to get in. Great place to hang out and have a good time with friends.
I will NEVER return to echo stage. It’s so sad how this place is run. A group of friends and I who travelled far to see a group we loved, were denied at the door by this short guy with a face tattoo that said “zay”. He unfairly accused us of being intoxicated when we had NOT been drinking. We planned on doing that at the venue!! Come to find out the bouncer had tried to get with my friend previously and she denied him so he did something unprofessional and spiteful. Not only that but him AND his “higher up” had no idea what they were talking about and were being so rude the whole time. They didn’t look over any footage, they didn’t see us doing anything wrong. They are shady as hell and I’m done doing any kind of business with them. Beware of the bouncers on a power trip. They will do the most every chance they get. Also look at yelps reviews of echo stage…. Very telling.
The first aid room here was incredible. My friend drank too much too quickly and it hit him like a truck. They helped him so much. Forty, who is absolutely awesome, genuinely cared so much for the safety of my friend. He’s a great guy who makes a safe space for people in need
You guys need to seriously stop overselling. like you are killing people i saw 3 people being carried out and the one girl looked actually deceased at zds 2 night stand the past 2 nights. both nights people were actually dying of heat exhaustion and you cant even get to the water because there is so many people.. you can barely even dance because there is so many people.. night 2 was so bad with it, then the bartenders tell you their busy when you need water meanwhile theyre just flirting with drunks, that one lady on the front left side of the bar needs fired actually shood us away and my friend was gonna pass out he had to lay on the floor. you guys are ruining the show the artists and the people like seriously that was so bad you break fire code 100x. id love to come back but im not for these reasons. so unsafe, im honestly surprised me and my 3 friends made it out alive. smh
Great concert venue. Great ticket prices. Only down side is drinks are expensive. But they give out free water bottles, so I would say its good to pregame a little.I was there with a friend who needed ADA access. Their ADA section was great. Really nice security guard there as well.
I went for a Drum & Bass event. The sound system & lighting was amazing, as expected. There were also installations, on the ceiling & videos on the sides of the stage. However, the coat-check was a pain in the 🍑, with one guy working there & it being cash only on a weekend day & the ATM wasnt close to the coat-check, at all. Parking was nearby but was $$ and was uncovered. I can imagine those that arrive late, not being able to park, but I was there at 11pm.I never made it to the 21 plus lounge...someone stole my bracelet...and I wasnt allowed up there (despite being 44 with legal state-issued ID), without going to the front door area, to get a new band. However, we still ended up having a great time...we danced for 3 plus hours, the bartenders were quick/helpful/available & the lighting couldnt possibly be any better.Needless to say, I will return, probably Uber (not park), bring cash (for coat check) & make sure no one steals my wrist band (lol).
Nearly 10 years going here. In recent years crowds can be downers depending on the artist. Medical staff and security are top notch. Drinks are pricey just like every other nightclub. Gorgeous festival esque LED wall and a giant Dance Floor. Tickets are affordable. Club has it all. Lasers, CO2 Cannons, confetti, & Trippy Visual effects. Rough area of town surrounding the venue and rip-off price parking are why it’s 4 not 5 stars. Travel in groups. And be prepared to cough up $40-60 Cash only for parking.
This is a great place. So far I have been to two concerts and they were amazing. The place is quite nice and parking isnt as difficult as it should be. Inside the sound system is actually amazing. The rest rooms are very well maintained. The drink we had for the concert wasnt really great and mostly devoid of alcohol. Overall a nice convenient place to enjoy.
Excellent electronic dance music venue where I have had the chance of attending some of the best DJs including Cash Cash, Nicky Romero, Benny Benasi, Tiesto, Loud Luxury and Galantis.I have done both VIP and general admission and enjoyed both visits. Echostage has lots of bars conveniently located on both levels, a large mens bathroom, an ATM and a nice VIP section. They only accept credit cards and it takes a little while to enter during their main shows due to the line que. The DJ sets typically start around 9 p.m. with the headliners getting on stage around midnight.I love coming to Echostage and I highly recommend this music venue.
Been coming to the place for years it USED to be so great.i doubt my friends & I will ever be back.Last time I was here my car window was shattered & I was parked right near the venue. However we decided to bring some out of town friends for a first time echostage bday experience, what a mistake !!The first aid employees were extremely rude and not helpful at all, one of my underage friends was HOLDING my drink momentarily while I put my wallet away and they happen to walk by at that moment and quickly accused them of underage drinking….My friend did NOT show any signs of intoxication nor did they see them actually drinking , they didnt bother to take a moment to listen to us they were on a power trip instead of focusing on true underage drinking or other situations going on, we felt targeted & were treated unfairly. Why would we pay tons of money to get here and do that? We hadn’t even been here an hour .We were kicked out for no reason at all…for someone simply holding my drink thats ridiculous. They ruined our bday celebration.Highly doubt we will ever be back all my friends / family have agreed to do the same. Not worth the money or hassle to be treated this way!!! Such a disappointment!!
Been coming here since 2014 and what can I say, its my favorite club in the world. Nothing like a DC rager with your best friends all night. Amazing sound system, insane lights, great bartenders, and a fun-loving crowd. Long live this venue.
Went there to see Afrojack not too far back and overall was a great experience. Wasnt overly hot from all the bodies together and they even offered free water whenever you needed it which definitely was a plus to me. I will say its not in the best neighborhood but you dont have to walk too far off if youre getting an Uber. The security was very friendly and told me where to go to wave my Uber down since they close some of the street off when the concerts happen. Definitely recommend going.
I love the venue but hate the location. Cars, being broken into, disrespectfully expensive drinks and low-end people around the area. Just not a safe area. Not to mention expensive prices to park. But over all, the venue its self is good. Just drink before you go in
Great venue!!I was very impressed by the staff and the cleanliness of Echostage! The staff is very well organized and helpful. The venue is kept clean and well laid out. Theres no obstructed view from the main floor, which is awesome! The merch counter is in the corner, out of the way. Restrooms are either side of the building. There is a long bar on one side of the venue. They do have a coat check which is very nice - $5 pet item.I look forward to attending more events at Echostage!
I have attended a dozen concerts or more at Echo over the years. This really is a hell of a venue if you love the mainstream EDM scene. TL;DR below. What echo does right- reasonable enough nightclub drink prices (Still $10-20 for rail drinks), huge soundsystem (you will leave hoping you wake up without tinnitis), nice visuals (great in front AND back), big name artists play here (pretty much every week), huge bathrooms (short lines if any even when packed), they play late (3-4am show end times typical, no other venue around Maryland or Virginia seemingly allows this.Tables are actually great value. Don’t be afraid to get one. Make sure you have 8 reliable friends who pony up.What Echo does wrong:1) Oversell the floor; big name shows that sell out, you feel like a sardine, and you cannot escape it without hitting the bathroom or near the front gate (where you cannot see the show).2) Shirtless people; it’s gotten worse over the years to the point where you actually need to anticipate brushing up on sweaty shirtless people every time you go, especially if in the back.3) loudness of speakers; only a problem in front, but this is the loudest it will ever get, at any concert. They have festival sized speakers, indoors. You will likely permanantly damage your ears if you come here often and stand directly in front of them. Not exaggerating, bring plugs if you’re concerned.4) Audio technical preferences; the sound system has been dramatically improved and is state of the art. No more qualms over blown bass. If the music sucks 100% blame the artist.TL;DR : Great venue to get cranked, have a good time with friends and dance to loud music late into the night. Not a great venue if you are sober, claustrophobic, don’t like extreme loud noise, flashing lights, bumping into dozens of people, or shows ending at 4am.
Great concert venue! Saw KSHMR and he did not disappoint. There were large screens, lasers, strobe lights, LED lights on the ceiling, smoke jets, confetti and more! If you like being visually stimulated, this place is for you. The bathrooms were large, clean and easy to get to. There is free bottled water in front of the stage and First Aid staff walking around to help people. Getting in the venue was fairly easy but there will be a line, even at 11pm. Leaving Echostage may be tricky if you didn’t drive. Public transit is not available after 2am and ride share is hard to get. I will be back!
Love coming here. Artist selections is diverse. The vibe is amazing. It’s a large venue. Doors open at 9pm for EDM concerts. It’s fine to arrive late. The opener usually starts at 10/10:30pm. Then the headliner will come on at 12/12:30pm. Getting an Uber or Lyft takes a while in the area that late cause of the sheer amount of people also getting rides. No problems going alone or with a group. Gone for Alan Walker, Illenium, and Adventure Club.
I’ve been to Echostage on and off since 2019 and the production has gotten insane. It’s a great venue for raves but it’s turned into a huge cash grab, almost every big name is severely oversold. I love this venue and will continue going to smaller names but I have no interest being crammed in there nut to butt in a 90+ degree warehouse. At least there’s free water
Went for Sean Paul concert. Security was tight but numerous so they lines moved quickly. Bathrooms were very clean and the drinks were good quality and fairly priced.
Over the years Ive never had a bad experience at Echostage until last night- Saturday, March 30th. Security and staff at the front is normally always cool and friendly all while being thorough! They never give you a problem unless you clearly do something wrong. Last night when I attempted to enter with an album for the artist to sign I was told it cannot go in due to it having a hard cover and that they dont really want the artists signing things. I understand it is always up to management at the end of the day but none of this is listed on the prohibited items list or rules. I attempted to ask if there were any other options that werent leaving it in the bin outside for someone to possibly steal it or for something to happen to it and was repeatedly told no. I could not leave it in my car as I used rideshare that evening. I spoke to the staff calmly and not once raised my voice or spoke disrespectfully to anyone there but was met with endless petty actions or rude comments from the young woman which led to her making the decision to not allow me in even after completely getting rid of the item all together. There was nothing I could do after that as the whole team of staff went along with her actions and she repeatedly threatened the idea of the police escorting me out when all I did was stand there and try to ask her questions that she refused to listen to or answer. I wanted to be clear with my actions at that point because a few minutes prior I was yelled at for touching the gate/barricade when I was told to step out and come back in once I had figured things out. I can admit that was my bad but if I already went through security and stepped out in front of the people who searched me with permission I thought I was allowed to come back in. I stood outside for a few minutes speaking on the phone to my friend that was inside the venue and one of her coworkers came to chat with her, she then looked at me and allowed me to come back in and I asked what made her change her mind which I guess I shouldnt have done because immediately after I said that I was denied entry and kicked out again lol. I love Echostage and will be back as I go to shows often but at this point all I can do is hope Im even allowed to come back in the first place if the security staff can just deny me entrance on a whim and based off of what theyre feeling like that evening. Ruined my whole night and is a little embarrassing on their part to act like that towards guests on a night that wasnt even packed or sold out.
My favorite club in DC! There is a huge dancefloor with ample room for how many people show up at each show. Tables are on the second floor, meaning that they don’t block the view for those dancing. Screens are decent and there are some cool lasers and lights. Acoustics are great no matter where you stand. Plenty of bathrooms so you’ll never have to wait. I don’t drink so I can’t comment on alcohol prices. Do note that ADA accommodation seems pretty difficult to get here… I’ve emailed the club and they haven’t responded to me in weeks. If you want it then you might have to pester someone about it.I included a couple videos I took: one from a trance show and another from a melodic dubstep one.
This is a very good venue. Ill break down why.- staff was polite and helpful.- the bar lets you open tabs and get drinks at other bars off it. I know this is odd to say as a plus, but some venues dont let you open tabs.- very little wait time at the bar.- they let you bring vapes in and have a smoking section outside.- free water.- the bathrooms are amazing. Like a Buckies gas satation, they have endless urnils and steals. There is never a line even when its sold out, I have never seen this at a venue.- places to sit and go even without vip.- the sound system, lights, fog machiens is top notch. They even shoot confetti! Also one of the biggest LCD screens behind the stage I have ever seen.I had my doughts going here mainly because friends said you couldnt bring vapes in, but I guess they got rid of that rule. I definitely recommend going to this venue if there is a show you want to see, you wont be disappointed!
Excellent venue for EDM! The staff is friendly and helpful. The lighting is incredible but the sound is too loud (use Loop earplugs! 😁). It would be nice if they consistently provided the approximate time that the headliners show will start. Doors often open at 9:00PM with the main event not starting until midnight or past. The photos are from Martin Garrix on October 3, 2019.
Saw Steve Aoki and Flux Pavilion here. I gotta say the venue is dope and the crowd is awesome. I read tons of reviews mentioning over crowding and I can definitely see how that would happen and how packed it can be. In my experience it wasnt that bad and the overall all vibe and presence of the whole thing was awesome and definitely worth going and checking out. It is in a sort of shady area but there are a bunch of cops that just chill around. If youre getting a Lyft or Uber definitely go to the 711 or Exon cause I dont believe cops were letting people get picked up in front of the echostage. Other then that hit up the 711 for cigs cause theyre cheaper there then surrounding stations. The beer was like 5-9 bucks and the shots are 10 a pop. Definitely one of the best clubs Ive been to and Im from Miami.
The Griselda concert was live!!!!! Echostage is not huge, so for the price I paid I was way closer than I feel like I shouldve been. The pics I posted were right before Griselda came out we worked out way way closer to the front. Had a blast going back very soon. Also no violence after the show so that was cool too.
Ive been going to this venue for over 8 years now. It all the special place in my heart. Everything about this place is wonderful. From the layout, to the incredible DJs they host.
Echo is an amazing venue. Im here 2-3 times a week normally for EDM shows and its by far and large one of if not my most favorite music venue. Drink prices are a bit high, and Id appreciate chips and snacks sometimes being available outside of the bathroom attendants, but overall a great club ran by great people.
We had a great time seeing Deadmau5! People and staff are cool. Plenty of room in the backmto breathe but gets packed! Sucked we had to hike in the rain after the show to get our Uber but understood the safety reasons for shutting the roads down. Thought thered be more communication (signs, staff on the way out, etc) but we figured it out with out driver. Id definitely go VIP given the opportunity!
Great experience in VIP tables for Sean Paul, until the parking lot/security attendant closed the garage rolling door on us, until I stood between it so sensor would stop it closing and acused me of not paying my tab, telling staff at door nearby that i didnt pay it, i pulled out the receipts and asked if Morgan received our $200 tip... she was a great server btw, 5 stars. Staff was great inside, guy calling himself supervisor outside RUINED this. They take your credit card and license for tables, so I wouldnt have gotten both back if I didnt pay our 1,300 bill...I showed receipts. We gave the parking attendant money, whatever he asked for. Finally let us leave after saying $65, then $15 then two other prices, with our $25 cash in hand. Venmo his personal account @Teshome Mekuria which shows multiple, various amounts of parking fees paid directly to him, as self proclaimed supervisor at Echostage.
Good quality experience for sound; wish there was more seating room for general public. You have to buy bottle service to get into a seating area, even if the seating areas are literally empty. I really appreciated they handed out free water cups. Big bathroom for women. For ladies, their employee dress code is a one piece, so other than closed toed shoes, I dont think they enforce a dress code for women. Possibly depends on the show.
Theres a reason it has been voted the best nightclub in America 2 years running. Ive made MANY memories here, and you will to. I cannot tell you how many shows/concerts/raves Ive gone to here. Its a location that commands respect, and in turn will treat you right. The difference maker in your experience is never Echostage itself, but the people around you and the Artist youre seeing.
It was awesome! I got to see DJ Diesel (Shaq) perform life. The bathrooms are very clean, with attendants there to soap your hands and hand you paper towels. As well as that, was close to the front during the performance and there was staff handing water bottles out to the crowd. I got a few drinks at the bar (tequila sunrise and 2 shots of vodka,) each were $10. By the end of the show it got pretty crowded, so if you’re claustrophobic make sure to mentally prepare yourself, or stay further away from the stage. All else aside, for sure gather a group of buddies and find a show you like to check out echostage!
The hall is beautiful and well designed. There is VIP seating, SRO and a balcony. There are 4 bars, but they dont have listed prices so expect to pay quite a bit for a drink.
I have gone to many raves for the past 6 years, and this is the best venue I have ever experienced. This venue is great. Very clean place, and pretty large. The best thing is that THEY GIVE US FREE WATER. They care a lot about your health and want to make sure youre not dying. The security is pretty strict, but I also feel a lot safer that way. I had so much fun!
The venue is good however parking is not great. Theres guys that charge $40 to park on the street around the venue. The website doesnt talk about parking and I asked the guys do they have a site or something showing that parking is that amount besides showing me people sending him $40 via cashapp. They dont so be aware of that. After parking my brother and I go up through security. I get to three young girls standing there looking at me like Im supposed to give them instructions. I ask is this where the female searches are? The young black girl says ok well any line is open. I said there is no line its just me😒 Im wearing leggings and a tshirt. I take my keys and chapstick out of my pocket. She asked is everything out of my pockets? Im like you just watched me take everything out of my pockets Im wearing leggings. She pats me down and asks if Im having a good day. I said yea. So she finishes and said continue having a good day in a condescending. I said lil girl please dont play with me. So I move over to wait for my brother. She said you can wait inside. I said no, my brother is a disabled special needs man (which Im sure the employees noticed) and I have the car keys if something needs to go in the car. She yells at me you can wait inside. I said are fkn deaf. Did you not hear what I just said and she repeated it again. And I said Im waiting right here. I dont know what her problem is but that employee needs to fix herself. She is beyond ignorant.
Obnoxious security made me take my cuticle trimmer back to the car. Bartenders friendly but too few in number. I could hardly hear Yoke Lore, who was amazing. This was the quietest concert Ive ever been to, why wont they turn the music up louder than the crowd?
Love this place, great sound system, friendly staff and a safe place to listen to dance music. Echostage also gets major credit from me for the depth of the lineups they regularly bring to the venue. We are lucky to have a venue like echostage in the DC area that provides access to a wide variety of EDM artists from around the world.
Its honestly always a great time. Most of the times theres drink specials before shows. The venue is a good sizeThe production (depending on the artist too) is usually amazing! And the speakers will take you to another land.Echostage:The place where you can finally fully experience your favorite DJs... Locally.
One Truly drink is $12. Shows have been mid nowadays unfortunately. Not buying drinks again lol
Decent venue, with not enough AC and oversold crowds. It was like a sauna party with way too many people. Staffs are rude. Do not recommend.Came here again for Oliver Heldens, and had an amazing night. Still hot and way too crowded tho. It’s okay if you wanna fit too much people and I do not mind, but you got to have some working AC so the crowd won’t get sticky and smelling
I would put 0 if I could. They were terrible, did not respect paying customers, it was raining and they did not let us stand in the dry when we were eating for our uber.
Production value is great. The venue itself is awesome. The staff are so nice. They pass out waters for free up front. I was able to get ear protection from first aid when I forgot my own. They let me sit in ADA when my scoliosis decided to hurt badly midconcert. A previous time when my phone died and i needed a charge a staff member helped me out.All in all a great place to see an act.
The place is fantastic. The drinks and alcoholic beverages are way too watery for my taste.$14 for a drink, full of water,? A rip off ...I found it excessive
First time being here and the vibe is completely different compared to arena concerts. The crowd wasnt just standing around; they all had energy and jumped, clapped, sang, etc. On a sold-out show, it gets pretty crowded, so be prepared to be constantly touching someone. This combined with people drinking alcohol can get pretty crazy as theres people that dance and jump with their drinks in their hands and sometimes even throw them so be prepared to have some drinks spilled on you and be standing on a sticky floor, nothing too bad though. I do agree with everyone else though, after like an hour or two, it starts to get very hot. That stuff aside, I had a great night going to see Alan Walker and the crowd was amazing. Cant wait to come back to see illenium soon :)
Jina took care of me and all my friends. Came in as a VIP middle section, and haven’t felt more welcome in a long time. Was welcomed, her drinks were FANTASTIC, and had a nice space for me and my friends. Service was impeccable. Honestly can’t ask for anything else. Can’t wait to be back. Hope to see her again.
Ive been to Echostage 20+ times, and the experience with checkin, ticket scanning, coat check, bathrooms, and the bar are always top notch for a venue (along with the stage lighting, audio and visuals). However the only issue is some of the shows that sell out are way over capacity, Im talking so many people that some are all the way to the space where you just walk in just trying to watch. If I buy a ticket and the show sells out I almost consider selling because of how miserable the experience can be trying to move around. Also side note they can be very strict when it comes in to whats allowed on entry FYI, but I cant hold that against the company. On a side note please bring back Red Bull and stop trying to promote ghost exclusively.
Side stairways make it easy (for 21+) to get near the front without having to fight the teeming throngs, plus there are spots upstairs where you can get a fairly complete view without having to see over everybody. The multiple tiers of VIP lounges annoy me but didn’t detract from my experience. Sound balance is good for such a large space. There is a coat check, it’s $5 per item, consider leaving yours in the car unless you’re walking a long way. Expect to pay $40 in parking if you want to park nearby.
Just experienced my first show last night at Echostage. Ive been to a lot of venues and been to a lot of shows, but WOW Echostage blows it out of the park. Very nice and easy layout, super clean bathrooms (nicest ive ever seen at a venue), friendly staff, fantastic sound and production. Echostage is #1 in the US for a reason.
Security at the club is ridiculous. I don’t need a female security guard in the men’s room, telling me how to use a stall just because I wanted to pee while standing. Stay the hell out of the men’s room. You’re a woman … kinda. They’re mean and nasty. I’m not going to the damn club again
I attended Eric prydz from out of town, and was super impressed with the sound system and production, but I had an experience that everyone should be aware of.I needed to use the bathroom and as I was sitting down in the toilet I looked up and saw someone peering through the door crack, when I opened the door I saw it was security looking through the cracks of all the bathroom stalls. I understand there might be a concern of drug use, but it is not acceptable in the slightest to look through the cracks while someone is using the bathroom, it is an extreme and disgusting violation of privacy and highly illegal. Nobody and I mean nobody is allowed to look inside a stall. I have to events all around the world, and never experienced such a thing. This cannot continue to happen, we deserve to use the bathroom in peace!
The venue was easy to find but parking is expensive for a good spot. So be prepared. Management needs to have monitors installed along the side of the stage so the audience is able to fully enjoy the performances. Otherwise I had a good time and would return being better prepared for the experience offered by Echostage.
5 star for the artistsAnd the staff is greatBut 3 stars for over selling tickets. You can’t move and there’s no relief areas at all. The only rationale is they oversell tickets. Why is it so tight in here?
Echostage always is an excellent experience. Get a table with 5-8 friends and have a blast.Bar accessibility 5/5Restroom access 5/5 ( largest and cleanest Ive seen in a club)Line processing 5/5Aesthetic and atmosphere 5/5Music 5/5Security and workers are very nice too. Many places have overbearing security- here, they actually treat you with respect. Always excited to return!
I didnt realize this was a club and less like a concert venue. The surrounding area was awful. The staff were friendly, besides the upstairs wristband lady. Parking was $40 right next to the venue and the street parking had broken glass everywhere. I wouldnt recommend street parking unless you want to risk your car being broken into or stolen. The crowd was young, drunk, and overly brochacho. There was a girl that was stumbling and dancing on a table. No where to sit unless you get bottle service. Not my scene and the vibe was way off.
Great venue, modern decor, well kept restrooms and efficient staff. I saw Koffee and Daniel Caesar live in concert. The lighting was first class. Bars stretch almost to the length of ther dance floor making it very convenient to get a drink. Upstairs is cool with tables that can be reserved as well as some standing room.
Very nice venue! Will definitely go back!
Server lack of a dance floor, you get a concrete slab! It was clean, Im give them that and there was noticable security so it is probably safe.
Extremely inappropriate search request. Ive never once in 33 years been asked to handover my wallet to be searched.A grown man saying Wallet to me then looking through my bill fold is an absolute invasion of privacy. If you want to look at my wallet then explain you want to search it not just say wallet and allow me told my own wallet. Idk this man. He doesnt know how I have my wallet organized and dont want my stuff falling all over the ground.Ive crossed foreign borders and have never once been demanded to have my wallet searched. Also, not related to me but Echostages policy clearly states passports are acceptable forms of ID yet the 2 people behind me were denied entry because they didnt have a US id.Eventually people will get tired of these inconsistent policies and over zealous security with the disorganized event staff. If you label, organizer, and execute, then you wont have security staff acting as if they are God and have immunity to treat people poorly.
Does not normally have the space on the main floor for the amount of people allowed. Very difficult to get around during events. Otherwise just an alright venue.
This rating is more of a sentimental one than an honest assessment as they used to have far more live music acts than they do today. I saw the Replacements here and it was one of the best concerts Ive been to in my entire life. It is a great venue for live music with great acoustics and is not too big and not too small. Today, its more if a DJ live music venue. However, I hope that changes soon.
Went to see Deadmau5 and while the show was great we ended up paying $30 for parking. Overall, drinks weren’t overly expensive (and not watered down) and the atmosphere was awesome. Some idiots in the crowd but that’s to be expected.
All the worst venue in DC. Security is out of their mind on a power trip. Prepare to get groped, assaulted or even worse.
This is the place to have an amazing night with your friends. Drinks are pricey. Bring a credit card. You can enter with a small bag. If you are with a group, I will just buy a table upstair. After the show, order a Uber as fast as possible. Don’t walk too far down the street by yourself or just couple of your friends. If you have to wait for a ride, there is a gas station next to it. So stop reading the reviews!!! Just Go Have Some Fun With Your Friends Already!!! Wish this can help you guys.
TLDR; this is not a PLUR venue, despite having the ability to be one.The physical venue itself? Amazing.Staff, including bartenders, security, and coat checkers? Incredible. The artists that come and play? Superb.Reasoning for a 1 ⭐️ star rating? OVERSELLING TICKETS & THE CROWD ITSELF.This venue is decently large, however it is consistently overpacked. I’m talking: cannot breathe, covered in other people’s sweat, and getting hurt/pushed around by those who don’t GAF about PLUR.My most recent experience was the Shaq’s Bass All Stars event on 1.27.24. There was a frat boy who groped my friend and ran away, a pair of super fat shirtless dudes who were pushing people down and forcefully separating friends by ripping apart their hand holding chains, and tonnnssss of middle aged men who were aggressively accosting actual ravers.
Killer venue for any kind of show, but especially dance music. Lighting and sound are off the charts, and they always book the best artists. Bar is great too. Plenty of room to move around, whether youre a front-row or wallflower type. Covid protocols followed. People that work there are about their business.
What a energy Steve Aoki you steel the show brother ❤❤❤ Magnificent time in Ecostage i really enjoyed it thanks for the Souvenir Steve soon its going to India because its my last month in USA. Especially good Supervisors and good staffs in Ecostage they are the backbones of this club. I liked there hospitality that was top-notch.
This place didn’t allow me to even take my umbrella inside and said they couldn’t keep my pepper spray outside till the event was over, they were just gonna throw it out. At 9:30 club , they hold onto it and you get it after the event . But an umbrella ?? Well . No IDs were checked and I saw a bunch of teens so I guess it’s open to all of maybe for that particular event it wasn’t needed . It was a pretty spacious event center though
-0/10 @echostage I moved back from Florida. They kicked me out for what? I’m 21+ of age. Drinking having a good time. They escorted me into another room and briefly mentioned it was my friend, but my friend was waiting for me. I also lost my ring. In hopes to MAYBE find it. I could take my L if I’m doing something wrong. They weren’t giving me a reason. OBVIOUSLY I’m going to be upset, so ima go back in forth with the girl. Never disrespected her, but at that point. I am not leaving. I asked for the police officer and then he told meIn the state of DC, “if a establishment tells you to leave without a reason you have to comply .” Yeah big F you to echo stage because I haven’t been there for years and I’m not also not used to these “laws” and it’s funny because there are people that get away doing ILLEGAL things and I wasn’t doing anything ILLEGALLY I was just Bitter and talking back.
No wonder this place is number 1 edm house trance venue in the United States! Wow simply a real! The energy in the place is incredible nicely organized great performances great DJ lineups! A must see! Wow can’t wait for the next show. A tip Get a table with friends takes the experience to a whole different level! 🙌🙌🙌🙌 Tiesto!!!!!
Lovely venue for a show with great sound. It was a comfortable temperature which is RARE for a night club, bathrooms are clean, water is readily available at the two bars. 2 stars because one of the security guards was so notably rude and physically aggressive with the patrons that I felt like I was being processed for entering a prison. Thankfully the police were present so the guard could inflict only limited roughing-up but you could tell he was on a power trip and would have liked to do more. Creepy! Will not be back as there are places that feel safer going out dancing, despite how nice the venue is.
This venue was awesome and very well organized. I went to see Chelsea cutler last night and she was amazing! 5 stars for this venue
Always an amazing concert experience - it’s definitely a place you should plan in advance of going. Website is good about updating with new concerts a few months out.
RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL security!!!! They take you to a room and “interrogate” you like they are the FBI and you are a terrorist. The “security” of this place take they frustration on the patrons, the “rules” are so over the top strict, like they are a CHURCH and you basically cannot do anything. If you are going to be so strict about anything and everything you better bring priests and pastors to do sermons instead of DJ’s. This is 2024 and you are hosting RAVES. F… this place!!! I used to recommend Echostage to all my friends that love EDM, especially the ones from Brazil, since EDM is so big there but I’m EMBARRASSED now. Very UPTIGHT environment, with stupid rules from the dark ages. NEVER coming back and will tell my friends if they want to have a good time, this is not the place. The SECURITY HARRASSMENT starts at the entrance. 👎
Got my phone and wallet pickpocketed when visiting Shaq’s show. I don’t think I was the only one as I saw a couple folks asking about lost phones at the front desk that they didn’t have. I went to step outside to catch some fresh air and would not be let in by security to search for my phone and wallet despite it being at the tail end of show.
I was charged $40 for 1 drink after I paid $19.80 for the same drink an hour earlier. When I brought it to the bartender’s attention, she acted like it was normal price. Had fun there up until that.
I love seeing my favorite artists here but the workers are so terrible. Bartenders are always so rude and had a bad experience with one of the “GM’s” last night(12/23/23) while seeing subtronics. He was a very short MEAN man wearing glasses I believe. I should have gotten his name but I was so upset I just walked away. I pay ridiculous prices here and feel like customers should NOT get treated like dog poopie. Not to mention no food or snacks what’s so ever WHILE serving alcohol? Craziness. Anyways they always have good artists play here otherwise I wouldn’t waste my time or precious earned money.
I wish this place didnt get pretty much every electronic artist between MD and VA.Pros: The artists are great, the visual setup is really coolCons: Shows are typically oversold, crowds are tough, prices are high, and security is inconsistent on what theyll allow.I wish it were better, but the shows they put on make it a must go.
If you compare this club to any other in DC, I’d rather go to the 9:30 club. Echostage treats guests like cattle. You can’t sit down unless you pay for a table. You can’t drink anything besides alcohol, Red Bull, and water. You can only mosh, drink, smoke outside, and pee.I seriously don’t look forward to spending an evening at Echostage. It’s not relaxing. It’s a test of my endurance.Considering shows last over five hours, I would be more eager to go if they had a place to sit or good coffee to drink.Echostage is far from a five star venue. They need lots of change to get there.
Awesome place to gather, awesome crowd and good music. You must attend.
Seven Lions did not disappoint at all! Last night was a great show. However, Echostage venue was one of the worst venues I have experienced. Their staff showed an extreme prejudice towards me and my spouse just because of my race! They were rude the entire time. When we got there they had us throw out a vape. A legal vape in a basket. Get inside and everyone is smoking their vapes, popping pills from last bags, smoking actual weed so strongly it filled the air! All in front of their staff while their staff just looked and laughed. We were told there were tables upstairs and a deck outside upstairs to go check out especially if we needed a breather. As soon as we got to the top of the steps they stopped us (mind you this was still early in the night) and told us each table for us would be a min. Of $1000. And we would need to go back downstairs. We were not allowed to even check anything out upstairs or allowed to take a breather outside. Their was trash all over their bathrooms and staff was just standing their blocking your way to the sinks giving me dirty looks when I would say “excuse me” to wash my hands like it was inconvenient for them to step aside to allow anyone to use the sink. When we finally left I asked the security guard for the vape back and said I did not appreciate them taking ours away when they allowed everyone else to have theirs just because I’m Jewish. That’s extremely racist! She said oh it is let’s find your vape what’s it look like. And they had already given it to someone else! I said that wasn’t right that they allowed everyone else to have theirs inside and all other drugs just because they are of another race! That’s discrimination! She said yeah it is 🤷🏼♀️. That is not right.
The place is good for concerts but the is very dangerous and you will see a lot of sketchy people
Nice atmosphere, spacious. The diversity of drinks at the bar was not big, but the drinks were ok. It is a great place for concerts and enjoying live music.
Awful experience at Echostage last night seeing Griz.My fiancee was dehydrated- not drunk, not on drugs, literally needed some water. She pulled me aside during one of the songs and said she felt a little lightheaded, so we went to grab a cup of water and rest for a few minutes. As we get to the bar, she tries to find a place to sit as she is feeling very lightheaded. While I am waiting in line (and she is alone) she finds a staircase and sits on the bottom step, off to the side. Staff comes over and tells her Get Up. Not Are you okay? just Get Up.She says I dont feel good, can you help me? No response. They walk away the second she stands up. Now, if you ever have been lightheaded you know standing up quickly is the worst thing you can do and she almost passes out. So she tries to sit down again, this time in a little alcove on the floor literally out of the way of everything.Instantly another staff member shines a bright light in her face and another man tells her Get Up. Confused, she asks What should I do? Can you help me? Nothing. The man walks a different direction away and she wonders if she is meant to follow? Maybe he is helping her outside? She asks again Can you help me find a place to sit down and he turns around, didnt realize she was there, has a disgusted look on his face and quickly walks away. Finally, I manage to get some water and find her with several kind concert goers around her checking that she is okay. Folks, other than the staff, were very kind and we hung around a few nice folks who fanned fans while she rested.A person who just needed some hydration and a quick place to sit down was constantly harassed, not helped, treated poorly and in ways that could have led to dangerous outcomes. The thing that gets to me is what if she was alone that night? What if she had passed out when they forced her to stand up while she was lightheaded? This is NOT a safe place for women.
So last night I came to see Da Baby with two of my female friends. One of my lovely friends absolutely love Da Baby and sent us a link two months in advance to purchase the tickets. We paid $50.00 per ticket and parking was $40.00. When we arrived the establishment was packed and as everyone knows when your in a standing venue there’s going to be a lot of foot traffic. We got a few drinks and was enjoying our night until about a hour in😐. My friend and I was dancing and a short Caucasian Male literally dug hug finger into her back and forcefully pushed her out of the way. Immediately, I looked at his shirt to see exactly who he was because the way he did it with confidence said he had to be someone with pull. Two young gentlemen that observed the whole situation stated to the security guard that he was wrong for man handling a female the way he did. He literally called security and told them to escort the two men and my female friend. Of course we can in together we leave together. We walked to the front and I’m just shaking my head and I told them we fell into his trap. The way his ego was set up he wasn’t able to handle the truth and because they stood up to him he wasn’t having it. When they spoke to the cops they told us this is their establishment and if they want you off there property then you have to leave. It was honestly sad because no one could look us in the eyes while they were speaking. People dress and go out to have a good time and just because he wasn’t able to be a man and apologize for his wrong doing he had to set an example. I try my best to not give bad reviews but I’m tired of the professionalism in the DMV Night Life. I barely go out and honestly this is why. It’s almost like the security and police officers let their anger out on you when they see you want to just have a good time. The only thing I can recommend is purchase VIP Tickets so you won’t have to go through this and don’t have a voice if you see someone in an Echostage Shirt. A waste of time and money!
Can’t beat this spot. It is the best EDM venue on the east coast as far as I’m concerned. It can get a little hot when the crowd swells but it is so worth it
I always love attending Echostage! By far the best club Ive been to! Fair prices for entry and not sexist! Beautiful special effects. The music is much louder than a typical club because this is setup as a concert venue! You WILL feel uncomfortable without earplugs! I recommend getting a $15-$20 pair off of Amazon. I dont know if echo still has a shuttle, but I have never seen information about it and i recommend getting an Uber a couple blocks away after.
Great venue but its alarming that all ages means that 16 year olds are under the same roof as 21-seniors. An incident waiting to happen.
This was our first time here. We had a great time! There were no issues getting an Uber or Lyft to or from the venue. The atmosphere was hopping and so much fun. If noise is an issue for you, bring earplugs for sure. It took a day to get my full hearing back. The talent tonight was amazing and electric. We danced until we couldnt anymore. If you arent dancing, move to the back of the balcony. There was a pretty good selection at the bar and the people were great to get to know. It is a young crowd, but they didnt seem to mind a few older women joining them. Great time!!
Do not go to this venue ever. The security/staff is rude, dismissive and obnoxious to guests. The venue is also EXTREMELY unsafe. Outside if a bag check, The only thing they did to check for anything dangerous was touch our bras in an uncomfortable way. They didn’t check pants/pockets at all of afab attendees. There also is no metal detectors of any kind.I will never go again
Venue is decent but Ive been there twice and its been overcrowded both times. Wont be going again because of this.
I got kicked out for having a spray hand sanitizer. They told me to step to the side and said the hand sanitiser was alcohol. They told me to wait and asked if I wanted to talk to a manager. The supervisor said “I cant let you in because my manager said you had alcohol”. Then the police stepped him. A white female said “do you wanna hear the real answer”. Me and my friend said yes. She said “he dropped cocaine”. It was a perfume sample from Express I had bought today. When I was clearing my jacket I had dropped a battery charger, some masks, my airpods, the sanitiser and perfume, some receipts and a tissue. I was nervous and it was my first time going to a concert, another officer stepped in and said “based on his actions, as a trained professional, I can clearly tell he was drunk and high. He may not have it on him but whatever he had to make him how he is”. I don’t understand how I’m in the wrong.
The ticket prices, fees, and drink prices are getting out of control. $70 for a ticket to an average show... get real.
Terrible experience tonight at echostage. Bought 2 tickets through ticket master to see Alan walker and one other dj. Waited 4 hours and saw 2 different djs one wasnt even listed on the lineup. I cant even remember their names at this point, I was extremely board. We had 2 beers which were stale and tasted old, 1 mixed drink with cheap liquor and 1 soda. By 11pm we left without seeing Alan walker the main act. Was he even there?? What a waste of money.. And dont get me started with leaving. We parked in the valet parking for ease and spent $40. My car was treated like a race car. Very unhappy with this venue. First time there and we will never return.
Had a good time while I was there but I ended up leaving early because they had obviously over sold tickets. The crowd was so thick you couldn’t even move. PLUR was not a thing to anyone at the venue and it ended up ruining my night
The venue itself is amazing, regardless of how many people attend the event there is always space where you can just hang without being pushed by the crew. The bar area is huge too so you don’t have to wait a long time to order something, same with the restroom area plenty of stalls and they are clean. I only gave it 3 starts because it seems each bartender charge you what they want for the drinks, and this is not the first time it happened. My last event was March 1/23 and I ordered 4 times, with different bartenders a margarita, I paid between $14 - $17, I asked one of the bartenders why this happened and she said unless you specify which licor you want your drink made with, they use whatever they want and that is why the prices are different. I think that is very shady because first they don’t tell you that so how you are supposed to know ? And second, you can’t even see which licor are they using so even if they charge you for the most expensive one you still can be getting the cheapest one. I guess next time I would just order a beer and be on the safe side.
I THINK IT ABSOLUTELY HYPOCRITICAL AND WRONG TO TAKE CBD/DAB/THC PENS FROM PAYING PATRONS WHEN YOUR STAFF AND SECURITY IS WALKING AROUND SMOKING THEM !!!!
This was my first time at this venue, and I was so so impressed. We saw Chelsea Cutler, and the venue and staff were so great. For starters, there were so many staff on hand to answer any questions and there was plenty of security to keep everyone feeling safe. For the actual experience, the sound system was phenomenal, the security guards passed out water bottles to the crowed between performances (!!!) and just went above and beyond the entire time. I will definitely plan on returning to this venue!
Had a great experience here seeing Above and Beyond and Deadmau5, even without a VIP table. Great staff, VERY affordable drinks (compared to venues in Norfolk, I was pleasantly surprised). The bathrooms are maintained very well even when it’s busy. I can’t wait to visit again, and would definitely recommend a VIP table so you don’t get sardined in the crowd. The sound is amazing and I wish Echostage was closer to home! I felt safe and had a great time.
Amazing club in DC. Great staff, killer lineup. Love the table service in the second floor. Just wish it was easier to get out of. Traffic flow is horrible and not safe.
Will never be returning. Ive been twice now and its honestly not worth the money, time, or effort. Saw Slander here last weekend and the base was nauseating even at the back of the house. They also way over sell the venue to the point where I was literally getting crushed between hords of people just trying to get to the bathroom. General note for people going to EDM shows, learn what PLUR is before joining the community.
Came for clozee about two weeks ago and the performances were excellent and a solid volume. Here, currently for Apashe, and the volume is out of control. Everyone’s ears were ringing from the jump, just an incredibly damaging amount of volume. It’s irresponsible of a venue to let an artist play to a certain amount of volume. They 100% damaged an entire crowd’s hearing to an irreplaceable level. I got earplugs from the health room and even through them it is so incredibly loud. A venue should cap the volume to ensure the safety of its customers, it’s irresponsible and unsafe. Please be warned. Also apashe’s light show’s are incredibly unsafe for epileptics, just a heads up.
We always enjoy going to a show here. Super clean. The staff was friendly and professional. The show was fabulous and the crowd was awesome.
The club was fine while I was there, but I forgot to close my tab and they lost both my ID and credit card. I called the same night that I left them there, while the dj was still performing, and was told I would need to call back that Monday. I called back Monday morning and they could not find them. I called back again a couple of days later and they were still lost. It’s not like I just dropped them on the ground, both cards were stored behind the bar and there should be a secure and organized protocol for storing them and getting them back to people. Now I will need to replace my license and cancel my card because my assumption is that one of their employees probably stole them. Totally unacceptable.
One of the best venues Ive been to. Bar was well staffed and I never had to wait for drinks. Employees were friendly and not pretentious. You cannot bring glow sticks/ necklaces/ bracelets in. Stayed at the Holiday Inn around the corner and was within easy walking distance. Overall great experience.
The dress code here for DJ events seem to gravitate toward “less is more” or think “beach attire”. Pants optional in the sense that bikini bottoms are acceptable as minimum bottom half. Shirt optional for some men.Beware of “bikini trains” moving quickly through a crowd. Noticed an innocent couple who got divided instantly by a train of arrogant bikini wearing club goers. If you don’t pay attention such bikini trains can step on your foot as they stampede you by. Forgot to bring my glow sticks but it was nice to see some colorful glow shoes and even glow fingertips.First level has an open wide space and second level has table service. Restrooms are easy to find and each stall has a note to remind those that only one person per stall is allowed. Once you get in past thorough security it’s not easy to get out as although exit signs are marked, where to actually exit from a lane perspective is hard to find. Parking is challenging near the venue and expect to pay $40-60 right next door.Echostage I thought you were a top notch global venue but you fell short when it comes to servicing your global clientele. An Asian bartender refused to serve us drinks at the bar even when we were standing right in front of her with no one else around. She did however serve others who approached after us asking them what they want. She seemed to be racially profiling my friend who was wearing a religious head covering. We found another bartender who was much more friendlier and we still had fun.
I have been to 2 different shoes in the last 4 months and its a great experience!!! I was a little bummed the last time when I received a cup with the echo stage brand on it, and wanted to keep it as a souvenir. Security made me throw it out even though the cup was empty... But I guess its regulations.
