This was a very nice vibe for Poetry on a Wednesday night in DC.I love the lights and hookahs! Limited parking.Street Parking.Security.Clean.Limited Seating. Multilevel. Art. Outside seating. I’d come back.

Terrible venue all altogether. Has the aesthetic of a dodgy club from a small tourist town and ridiculously priced drinks for the pour. Somehow they were selling hookah in the middle of an indoor event? No sense anyone who was there as staff even knew how the place worked.

I was told my drink was $15, they charged me $19.50, and i put $0 on the tip line and they updated/increased the charge for $5 extra the next day! scammers galore and the party wasn’t even lit fr

My worst experience ever. My friend from DC invited to DC and he took me to next level dc club and we were happy and enjoying until we had to move out for little while and told waitresses to keep our drinks and we were okay with that. When we came back, we find out that there is empty bottle, and when we started asking, the manager was so arrogant to us and he was like you guys I don’t want you in again.

Rowdy and fun, younger crowd and it wasn’t bad given the location. They do have parking in the back but the the guy directing people to park the car may try to hustle you for more money. I saw him charging people $40 to park while some people pay $20.

Would have been nice if it wasn’t already hot outside (no AC and I’m hot, I normally get cold fast) and the DJ was a little more engaging. Everyone is just standing around. We are here to celebrate a birthday. I never been to a straight Afrobeats event, but I heard it’s suppose to be a little more lit than it is now.

Best nightclub in Washington DC period!!! we came to celebrate my friends birthday, bouncers at the door were very nice and friendly, we were able to order everything we needed on QR code from our table and everything came to us with blazing fast speed, honestly i was pretty impressed, even when we needed Charcoal for the hookah we ordered from QR code it came to us right away, Dj is really on point, over all it was well worth and we had a blast, lastly please dont trust reviews here because everyone try to express negative not positive aspect.

Worst 1st impression !!!!!! I reserved 3 tickets “complimentary “ on the Club Elevate DC website for New Years Eve . NO WHERE on the site or ticket was there a mention that this was NOT valid for DEC 31st, but in fact I only reserved the tickets FOR DEC 31st on THERE site. My 2 daughters who are models in CA and NY came to visit me for the holidays and since I typically travel between my homes in France and US it was nice to be together for the holiday. I decided instead of going to an event in Baltimore hosted by some business partners it would be nice to patronize an Afro beats club . My daughter and I have been to Africa and we enjoy the music.Upon arrival ,at 10:15 pm which my tickets indicated open bar from 10pm- 11pm we stood on line to enter. There were about 15 people in front of us who were confused as we were since no one was providing information in regards to those of us who had RESERVED complimentary tickets for New Years Eve. A man appeared very agitated and started to say that the only tickets are “paid” tickets for the event and the complimentary tickets would not be honored. I explained how I reserved the tickets on their site for NEW YEARS EVE but he was very disrespectful and stated that we would not be able to enter without paying . When I showed the email and digital tickets to this man ( later to find out he was the owner) as well as other staffers the staff members were in agreement that my daughters and I SHOULD be allowed to enter , but this owner who obviously was desperate to make money on NEW YeARs started to say everyone had to pay even if they had tickets.I REFUSE to be treated like this. My daughters and I have been to clubs FAR more exclusive and popular in NY and Los Angeles as well as around the world so THIS club owner does not understand how to attract REAL money or influencers. My daughters have been photographed entering many clubs ( FOR FREE) and we have enjoyed table service at the best clubs. This would have been a great opportunity for this club to gain return customers . That will NEVER happen.We left because I NEVER have to argue about getting into any establishment . I made a couple of phone calls and we ended up attending an Amazing club with a live performer FOR FREE and was invited to sit with some a-list people at their table. It ended up being an Amazing evening .I will NEVER promote, endorse or direct anyone to attend CLUB ELEVATE in DC. The owners have no idea how to cultivate a following with REAL influencers .Do not waist your time or money .

I was traveling to see a old friend of mine from high school I had big expectations for the capital of the United States, being that I was only gonna be in town for only 2 nights I was hoping the one night we could go out would be a blast, unfortunately the could be further from the truth. First the bouncers were VERY rude to us and for most of the people in line to the point were there could’ve been an altercation between us, but we tried to not let that ruin our night, thinks only got worse from there. We requested a table before hand and pay a good bit to get it, turns out they couldn’t give us the table because they apparently already gave it to another group, things could’ve be fine if we simply got our refund but unfortunately that wasn’t the case, after pleading our case over and over with to the management we decided to leave CLUB ELEVATE to go to some bar down the road before heading back home with this bad taste in our mouths. Would not recommend this place even to my enemies. Thumbs down

I been in many clubs in Washington DC before and this is the first time im writing a review, the story of the owner is extremely impressive, from almost homeless to owning a club this magnitude? I had a chance to speak to the owner and his story is unbelievable, what impressed me most is that he made this club himself without hiring any contractor whats so ever, the lighting and sound is better than any clubs i seen in the area guarantee!! and his passion to make everyone happy is impressive. Glad I came. Ill come more often cheers.

This place desperately wants to be an upscale club but for the amount of money I rather go to echo stage or 9:30 club . They want you to pay 5 star prices just so they can serve you drinks out of red solo cups. The booths are falling apart dingy like an old dennys. The door person or whomever they are was in sweat pants collecting payment like she rolled out of bed. Can’t enforce a dress code if your staff looks homey. The bottle service girls are cute , bartenders are great and can make a decent cocktail. The owner is oblivious cheap so this club reads cheap which is unfortunate. Don’t plan on going back here, this felt like a last stop for minors or a place for kids because they didn’t really card and the standards are appropriate for such . We had fun dancing. It was a good crowd, felt safe, the woman to man ratio was about 4-1 which is a bonus anywhere ! Just had the plastic cup situation and the cheap furniture…like come on, and of course the bathroom was disgusting and probably only gets cleaned in the morning.

Wish I could give 0 stars. This is a horrible club that I would not recommend to anyone. Poor management, poor customer service and a poor upkeep of the establishment. The main issue I had was with the owner. Impossible to get in contact with, even through a middleman - the bottle girl. Didnt keep his word when he told me that I would be refunded the $600 I was rightfully owed - so essentially stole from me. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere for a fun, enjoyable night out.

When I was 10 years old I had a dream. A dream so vivid that I woke up frantically from my bed, and ran to my mothers bedside crying. When asked what’s wrong all I could muster was “they robbed me”. To my surprise, it almost seemed like dejavu when I realized Club Elevate refused to refund me for a section I never used. $600 is what I paid. $600 is what I will never get back. All I can ask is that as someone reading this review, as someone who is considering attending such a terrible establishment, please “elevate” your standards and go elsewhere. I leave you with a quote by Winston Churchill and he said “Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.” Even without the $600 in my bank account, I will continue to live, I will continue to prosper. But I will never, and I mean never, stop hating on Club Elevate. In other words, DONT COME HERE.

The best place in washington DC for good vibes, Ive been to this place many times, anytime I take friends there, they always want us to go back. The owner takes each customer as family, hes very friendly and entertaining. He serves free drinks every once in while during the night. Great after hours food. The interior design is very unique. The entire atmosphere of this place is very welcoming.

This club is horrible, please avoid at all cost. I celebrated my birthday here, paid for my table with credit card and they fraudulently charged me twice. I have tried to reach the owners and contacted my bank. Be careful if you use your card! These people will scam you! There are other more legitimate clubs in DC who will not steal from you!Updated Review based on Managers Response: This is a real review, based on real experience and it is 100% credible. I am not personally attacking the business, I am telling the truth about what happened when I I used my bank card there. You are upset because I am warning people of the risk of having their money stolen if they use electronic payment at that club and its the truth because it happened to me! Somebody needs speak up! I contacted my bank and they launched an investigation so I know that they contacted your establishment. I am willing to show you, Mr. Manager, my bank statement where I was charged TWO times when I only paid once, for one (1) table, and nothing else that night! Instead of responding to my post with more lies, you need to focus on cleaning up that place, your sloppy policies, and train your employees properly. And yes Mr. Manager, I did not contact you because I did not have your name, number, or email. Feel free to leave your contact information, if you would like to see my bank statement and correct this error.

Underwhelming...Good music but need more Caribbean music.The coat check is cash only. Once we got inside, we wanted to check our coats. We weren’t aloud to leave to grab cash at the atm outside since the one inside wasn’t working. $20 cover with no re-entry. They need to stamp hands or use wrist bands. Definitely better clubs in DC that are bigger too. The place is small but at least it wasn’t that popular tonight so it wasn’t overcrowded. I did like that you could dress up or keep it cute/casual with vans. There is no where to sit for a lol bit unless you bought a table. Do not waste your money buying a table here - you’ll look very lame. It’s not the kind of club to do that.

A bit disappointing 😞. The place is a bit expensive for the overall quality of the place. The DJ was all over the place and letting people down in the middle of good songs; not if he was noticing the empty dance right after each time he does that. But the staff was very nice. Elevate can do better!

I have been to this place a few times. While the music is good, the staff and bartenders are rude and lack decent professional attitudes. The drinks are overpriced, they charge a $20 cover and the venue is underwhelming. Its not always safe either, my friend got her phone stole at the club!! Be safe and choose better places that have Afro-beats in DC.

I came here before 10 and they didnt let us in till 1040. Open bar was only white and it was rubbing alcohol. When I asked for a cup of water I was declined and said I had to pay 5 dollars for a bottle of water. They do not give out cups of water. Parking was 20 dollars smh. I will def make sure I come here not only already tipsy but hydrated.Music is def good vibe is good bar and staff sucks

Please dont be fooled by the five star reviews you see on Club Elevates Page. I have been to this night club a couple of times prior and everything was alright until I ran into a server/bartender named Jennifer. Be on a look out, she is a damn thief. She took money from my bank account without my permission. Basically I bought a couple of drinks, gave her a tip and she went back and charged my card without my permission. This is called modern time robbery. I have reported this incident to my bank and I am about to follow up with whomever is in charge of the Washington DC night clubs. I believe this has happened to a lot of people and they dont even know it. Most people dont tend to check their receipts against their bank statements. Make sure you always double check your receipts against your banking statements when you purchase any beverages through this vendor. Why are you automatically charging tips on your customers card then later turn around to recharge it again? Smh!

This place is a rip off. Heres the breakdown of what happened:It was my cousins birthday and, granted the promoter gave us a 2nd table at no additional, which we were very thankful for, everything else was pretty mediocre.1. The hooka was overpriced and were not attending our table. It took us about 30-45 minutes to get someone to come see us for a second hooka coal. If you go to an authentic hooka bar, it would be way cheaper and theyd replace the coal within 30 minutes automatically.2. The drinks are way too expensive. A shot of fireball and horchata is about $15 a shot.The place has great potential, but the current management or the people that were managing that night did not do a very good job at all. This was my first time and probably the last time I come here.

I went this club booked a section and waited a whole three hours for a section we paid for on New Year’s Eve. Celebrated new eve in a a line. Didn’t get into the section we ordered untill regulars which felt like no value was added to getting. A horrible experience all round and won’t go again. Security guard tried to touch up on iot guests. Which was not appropriate, got tackled and body slammmed by a security guard although I paid for a section for New Years. All round choatic and disorderly. Honesty don’t think any of these guys know how to run a business and market to customer, a flop in the making

This place is a horrible run business.1. Huge roaches outside2. They advertised an open bar from 10pm-11pm but didnt open doors til 10:40pm... they were not willing to extend the happy hour.3. I spoke to the manager. I asked if, in good faith, he could extend the happy hour since they opened late. He said no.Dont come here. Customer service is horrible!!

Went there for a friend’s bday, and our experience was ruined because someone was smooking weed, in the club! Security was called, but no one did/said anything, perhaps because he was sitting at a high paying table. Everyone saw it, and people were so uncomfortable, but no lne did anything. We had a table next to theirs, and had to request to be moved. So sad, will not be returning!

Paid $30 to get in this club,I think its way 2 overpriced!!! It was just another regular Saturday to me!! Glad I go there once a year ,music is great but to pay that much to get in,didnt swallow it well,sorry!!!!!

For DADJU concert we bougth VIP tickets but we ended up in the back with no seats or spot to watch the concert. The management is so bad !!! There were no point buying those tickets. They know how take people money away

Was there in MAR-2022. There was a mixup with section selection on their part. We payed for a section upstairs but were on a bottom floor section and THEY CHARGED US FOR BOTH???? THEN DIDNT REFUND. Would NOT recommend

Public transportation accessible venue, owned and operated by Ethiipiqns this club caters to all walks of life DC Go-Go , carribean , Rap, R&B , jazz and alternative lifestyle music. The maintainence staff keeps bathroom and establish squueky clean. Drinks are the best

This place is trash I do not recommend…However, in case you decide to take the risk anyways, just avoid paying using your card at the bar otherwise you will be overcharged. Can’t trust the people running this.

This place sucks. There was supposed to be a free party here, but they ended up charging a lot of people at the door because they they were sneakers, or because there were too many men. I couldnt even get in, because the line was so long

The worst place, I went there last sat the bouncer was very aggressive yelled at me I felt attacked, he cursed at me and all. Place was packed for no reason, bathroom fludded. 1st and last time going to this place beware!!!
