I had a wonderful time celebrating my birthday with my friend here last weekend! The staff were very friendly and overall was so fun. My friend and I lost our wallet and phone and the staff helped us find both! I highly recommend this place for your next outing! 😊🎉
If I could rate zero stars, I would. When me and my friend got there, we just got in the first line that was open. Then this isrealian/ East Asian looking guy with a suit rudely said, “If you do not have a section you need to get in the general admission line.” Some customer service that is. Then we did not know which line to get into; there was a separate line to check IDs and a line to actually get in the club. So again, without any guidance, we stood in the line to get in the club without knowing there were a series of different lines for different things. We had to get IDs check first. If you have a popular club, there should be more people guiding others of where to go and have a better customer service attitudes. After finally wasting 20 minutes from being in both lines, we got in the line that was to check IDs. Once we got to the front of the ID checking line, we were met by the rudest bouncer I’ve ever encountered in my life. As soon as we walked up to get our IDs checked, you could tell he had an attitude. After telling me to pull out my ID consecutively three times vastly and crudely, the bouncer got mad I made a face. A face? SERIOUSLY!! Then he proceeded to let my friend pass the ID check, but said that I’m not getting in.When I tried to talk to him maturely like an adult, he ignored me and continue to stamp other peoples hands. I stood there for 20 minutes trying to be cordial so me and my friend could celebrate in the club.As a business, I would expect more professional people to know how to do their jobs. So I never got in the club to celebrate with my friend and we ended up wasting an hour and thirty minutes of our times from going from one line to the other and trying to talk with the crude bouncer. I have seen many complaints about him before on this review page, but it seems nothing is done to fix his mannerism or hire other more respectful staff members. Please don’t go to the club if you’re trying to be treated with respect like a human being.
Terrible what type of nightclub has a dress code men can’t wear sweatpants. The women are half naked but men can’t wear sweats pant or basketball type of shorts. Also bouncer seemed a little racist and profiled us basically sat in line for 2 hours twice once because of sweatpants so we changed into basketball shorts just like gym shorts honestly plain Nike shorts it’s 100 degrees no one wants jeans on in club sweaty ash
Used to love this bar! Its cool. Unfortunately, there were more teens than adults last time I went. They were puking and ems was outside because they got ahold of alcoholic beverages somehow. A total mess. Puke on the dance floor, sidewalk...Unpleasant.
Regarding my recent visit on August 2nd, I am a frequent attendee and have spent so much money here. I was invited to a section by a friend, but since the section was full and not under my friend’s name, we decided to join the general admission line and pay. Lani, a staff member with whom I have a good rapport, witnessed everything. While I was talking to Lani and trying to pay, an unknown security guard pulled me aside and told me I wasnt allowed in for the night. Lani tried to help by calling the manager, but he was unhelpful, refused to listen, and wouldn’t provide his or the security guard’s name. This felt like discrimination and homophobia. Additionally, the ID checker, who frequently questions my valid ID, also displayed homophobic behavior. I managed to get refunds for my friends, and we went elsewhere. This experience was unacceptable, and I will be pursuing legal action.
The staff was very rude and yelled at us for not standing in line immediately, they refused to let us in for following theme and did not give refunds despite advertising it as a st Patricks day party. I have never had issues with dressing at clubs until now, will never return. We were all sober!!! and 18-21 for an 18+ event. One of our 18 year old friend was admitted since it was an 18+ event but despite this our international friend was discriminated against for her foreign, LEGAL, ID and the rest of us were harassed by staff.
This nightclub in dc, is nothing but a scam and have shady stuff happening. The owner who runs this club is unethical, I cant believe you let your staff work like this. My friend lost their phone, and it took them 3 hours to look for it, they asked every single person that works there in this club. From all the bartenders to every single bouncer and security. Tell me why after the 3 hour hunt to look for the phone, at the end, a random security guard pulled my friends phone out of their POCKET, and said oh is this your phone???? From the look of it, it seemed like the security guard was going to steal and take the phone. AND who knows what they were planning to do with that phone?? Sell it? jailbreak it? You know what made the security guard to reveal he had the phone, it is because the one of my friends mentioned the lost phone had a gps and location detector on it and I guess it spooked and freaked the security guard, and so magically and mysteriously he pulls the lost phone out from his pocket and pretends like he found it. The funny thing is my friend had asked that same security guard plenty of times if he had found or heard of a lost phone. And he said no to my friend that he had not found a lost phone or heard of a lost phone, prior until one of my other friends mentioned the statement about the gps and location detector being on the phone. And also, seems like the bartenders and all the staff there are nothing but sketchy and shady people. Because we looked at footage of that night the next day, and a random girl found my friends phone and took a video saying, hey I found your phone, I am going to give it to the bartender, I hope you find your phone. So for a girl who was there in the club, to give it to a bartender. And my friend asking every single bartender, and they all said they did not see or hear of a lost phone.COME ON. This exact experience just PROVED nothing but that this club is unethical and the entire staff is nothing but scammers, theives and liars.Be careful going here. Do not lose personal belongings, plus this place is nothing but a waste of time and money. The drinks are expensive and SO watered down. Like come on.This club is JOKE. Save yourself and go somewhere else.
I don’t club but Yk pretty fun depends on who you are and who you’re with. Drinks are pricey and cover is 20 at door. There are 3 floors with the top being rap the middle being Latino music and the bottom being like American music. It wasn’t too packed on a Friday night, but also if you want to drink you need a real ID to get in so take that into account.
One of the worst club fr, they charge too much for “free tickets” don’t matter if you 21+ and that dude that be yellin in my ear about “I gotta table anyone” while I’m in the line, can retire already overall the only floors that bump is basement and second floor, third floor is a loop of the same music. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.
Great setup with two levels and powerful sound with video and laser lights. Solid mix of popular favorites kept most moving all night long. Nice long layout with a fun and festive crowd. $15 drink minimum, on a credit card, which is fine. Great service and an attentive staff checking on everything and keeping it clean. VIP section on the elivated, left hand side.
15 dollars for a shot 20 dollars to get in and dance tipsy with guys. This place is a giant scam for people with 20 year old friends that can’t get into regular bars I hope they close down
Bought two drinks specifically long islands and they were good. I had signed two checks . 12 hours later I’ve been charged over 5 checks?? What’s the deal?
Awful! Was denied access as a ticketed member with valid id for my “sweatpants”. Simply wasn’t wearing sweatpants material at all. Despite going many times, will not be returning ever again. In response to the reply: They do in fact sell tickets through an outside company. What dress code? Your website has no dress code whatsoever. Never been denied from any club in DC in what I was wearing. The pants were in fact parachute with no cloth material. They refused to look at them or to feel that it was not sweatpants material. Get this, I was told I need to be wearing a belt! Could not believe it. A belt? To go clubbing? They don’t argue because they know they are wrong. I have actually entered this exact club in the exact outfit I was wearing, so I felt singled out and profiled for whatever reason. Word of advice: if you have a reason in mind for why someone isn’t allowed, tell them. Don’t make up some other reason that’s clearly not valid. Speak your truth loud and proud! Also, whoever replies to these reviews seems to be trying to argue with every single person instead of resolving their complaints or to make things right. Very telling of the kind of place ultra really is.
What a great hidden gem. This bar looked to be recently remodeled with a beautiful patio. The performance late at night was one of a kind and was worth the drive there. The bartenders were mostly friendly and drinks were priced a bit higher than I was used to but being a small bar in the middle of what seemed to be nowhere, the prices were acceptable. Owners were present and hospitable as well.
My daughters wanted to go to a DC club with their friends and some are under 21. They insisted I go with them 🫣. We got there and received red carpet treatment thanks to the bouncers and owner. I ended up with about 8 people with me. The djs, bar tenders and bouncers were great. People were dancing everywhere. My girls had so much fun. They cant wait to go again hopefully they can go by themselves next time. 🤣
I went to this place yesterday with some friends, a 19-years-old girl, me and my another friend, that we are 21+. it was halloween, and we are not supposed to pay to get in until 12am, only the underage girl. but even that they charged us 20$. on the website it was published about not paying. this was so unethical. we just got there, because our friend is leaving and it’s the only place she could have some fun and we wanted enjoy with her. just because of this!
This 5 star review could not be more merited after a very busy Halloween Saturday night. The measure of an establishment is not only how well it executes its positive experience but also how it reacts when it gets something wrong. And we had one BIG hiccup. We had ordered tables and bottle service beforehand. Arrived around 11:30. The door staff were not the most cheerful but theyre probably cold and dealing with a lot of drunk people so they have very little patience. All the different lines were very disorganized as well. Once we got in, my party were taken straight to our main floor table and introduced to Val. She was VERY happy and VERY cheerful and a wonderful and attentive server. There was a security staffer in the tables area at that time. We had some drinks, danced a little and settled in. After about 45 minutes we decided to leave our area to explore the other floors. Each has different music and a different vibe and its a treat to wander and explore! And bring cash so you can tip the bathroom staffer. I was very embarrassed that I did not have any cash on me to say thank you to him. We wandered and danced for about 45 minutes. When we came back, we found a large group of ladies at our table and in our section. There was no security guard to be seen anywhere. We shooed them away and although they protested and argued with us for a bit they did eventually move away. That was when we discovered they had drunk our entire bottle of champagne and started in on our two liquor bottles having had approximately another 25% of each. We were appalled and shocked. We took the situation up with Val and she quickly gave us another bottle of champagne. However she didnt really know what to do about the liquor. We approved the check but mentioned that we would have to follow up with someone the next day about the situation. A few minutes later a staffer (we assume some kind of manager) came to us with another full bottle of liquor with their compliments. We were not expecting it and we were very grateful. Suffice to say, we were entirely satisfied with their handling of the situation and they turned the situation around completely for us. We had a wonderful rest of the evening and are eagerly looking forward to returning in the future. Val and the team at Ultrabar completely executed the right moves even when things went wrong. Major shout out to her. She made what could have been a bad review into a stellar customer service experience. We cannot recommend Ultrabar enough.Ps. They did acknowledge that there should have been a security staffer there keeping guard and mentioned that there usually is.Tips: If you have table service and everyone wishes to leave the table, GIVE YOUR BOTTLES TO THE BOTTLE SERVICE SERVER. Even if there is a security staffer there, they may be called away to deal with another situation.
Everything about this club is amazing but the guys it attracts is not good at all. As a woman just expect to get grabbed by every guy and then they won’t let you leave and man handle you to stay. The one security guard just expect to also get grabbed by him too. I would’ve had so much fun if it wasn’t the guys. Also for like four drinks it $72. Sorry I won’t be coming back.
I was so disappointed with my last experience at Ultrabar. I travelled from out of town to celebrate New Years Eve here with my friends. I have done bottle service at many large clubs throughout the US and Mexico, but this was the absolute worst bottle service I have ever experienced. The server was non-exsistant. She asked what we wanted at the beginning of the night and we never saw her again. We also were told we must choose what we wanted for the whole night, because every other known club allows you to order throughout the night. The package said we would also get complimentary champagne but of course that never came. The flimsy ropes did absolutely nothing to help keep people out of our area. I have photos of people sitting on the arms of our booth and even had a girl try to fight me when I moved the ropes back. There was very limited security as well. I understand NYE is a big night but when you pay to have your own area, it would nice to feel like you aren’t bothered the whole night and bumped into. The music is good here and I like that they have multiple levels. They did reduce the cost due to our very unpleasant experience, we but I likely would never come back.
The bouncers were extremely rude and aggressive. made me not even want to go inside. needs better customer service and care.
Had my 24th birthday party here in early April!! Security was chill no hassle. Since I contacted a club promoter there was no long line for me or any of my friends who came!! With also free/reduced prices entry! I had the luxury of having my table next to the DJ booth and was lit the entire night until the very minute they closed. All of my friends had a great time as well. No complaints! Will definitely hit this place again for my or any of my friends birthday!! Best place to party if you got some under 21 peeps rolling with you! Or not!! Lit no matter what!! Balloon drop on Fridays and wide variety of music on each floor.
This club is not wheelchair accessible! There is a step at the front that they do not have a ramp for. It was so upsetting to try to spend a night with my friends just to run into discrimination. I hope that anyone considering this club for a night out will refrain from going in solidarity with disabled people who deserve to have access too. Also, a man who I’m assuming was with the club tried to explain to me why it wasn’t accessible (there is no good explanation!) and bent down to my eyesight in a very demeaning way. I said please do not get in my personal space and he said alright get out. Completely adding insult to injury, after being illegally discriminated against, this man had the audacity to treat me with such disrespect and harm. I hope everyone who reads this review will consider what I felt like in this moment, and join me in choosing other more fun and inclusive environments for their nights out.
Awful service! I have been coming here since i was 18 I am now 24. The bouncer who has been there for years is EXTREMELY rude for no reason. Drinks are expensive for no reason. I paid $20 for a LIT and $13 a single tequila shot. Do not recommend and theyre super strict on dress code for males. Worst club in dc
Theres an old black dude whos at the first checkpoint of the line with short hair and baggy eyes. Hes a hound dog to women and a POS to men. He especially likes to pick on certain customers for no reason. Get rid of him. Im tired of him. He kills the vibe before you even head in the door. If youre the owner and you read this, tell him exactly what I said, please. Hes awful. He treats a loyal customer like me disgustingly.
It was my first time visiting Ultrabar for a friends birthday. Our VIP table and bottle service was top notch. Great music, great atmosphere and fun. Honestly, everything exceeded my expectations. Sheldon (I believe the manager) stopped by our table to make sure everything was okay. - which is unheard of in the DC bar scene. This whole place was a vibe.
Had a blast last year the only downside is there is a $20 cover fee
Why are they letting 12 year old kids be the DJ this place is sooo badd don’t even try to go there so much wasted potential
I went here for my birthday 09/30/23 and the place is crazy! ( In a good way ) 4 floors each one has a different atmosphere, I enjoyed the time I spent there. Other than the small issue with being over charged for 4 drinks the total was 104.09 which is a little excessive for Vegas bombs. I tried paying with my debit but I couldn’t cover it, I didn’t have my credit card with me so another friend paid for it. To my knowledge ( I’m not sure how their pos system works ) when you pay half, you can use another card to pay the remainder OR trust that the bartender would cancel the transaction and use the second card to pay it in full right? But we were both charged for the same amount and neither one of the emails are available to contact with a manager/ owner.I don’t like writing bad reviews about business but if you somehow can’t get in contact with anyone there’s something wrong going on.EDIT: this will be deleted after disputing the charges and getting a full refund. I don’t intend to bring down Ultrabar‘s reviews but this is what I have to do to get in contact with someone.
Ultrabar is in Washington d.c. and is a nightclub with night life. It offers 4 levels of different types of music, top 40, Hispanic etc. Dress to impress for ladies, 18+ to enter and 21 to drink. You will see all age groups but mostly between 18 to 28. Drinks are around $12 and they also sell tablets with included liquor bottle entry fee and skip the long line outside. They do ck ids and pat you down during entry to the club. They also offer coat check booth for $5 . If you want to forget the world and enjoy even meet singles this is the place to be. Enjoy the night away in Washington d.c. area and in a safe and controlled environment as many bounces are there to control it. Entry fee is $20 u less you have a VIP pass which is available on there website, just take a screenshot of it and show at the door during entry. They are also available on eventbrite. If going to night club in dc this a good place to be.
A guy (respectfully I didnt get your name) got us to the front of the line and let all my girls in (shoutout to you). We agreed to leave an honest review... I like Ultrabar I feel like it has a lot of potential! The only thing I dont like is the music. At the top floor (rap floor) , I am rocking with some music up there, but we need more dancing rap music, I feel like Im just at a big sing along and I honestly dont care for those songs lol... I need more Drake, Beyoncé, Nicki Minaj, Ice Spice, Migos, Sean Paul, Usher, metro...
Theres this old black dude with baggy eyes and a nasty attitude that checks people in line first. Hes a massive POS and I doubt he has anyone in his life who cares about him. Im gonna be flat. Get rid of him before someone takes matters into their own hands and puts him out of his misery themselves. Hes rude, lecherous, and disgusting as a person. Its a great bar, but Hes a menace. And people are sick of him. Sooner or later, someone will get rid of him for you.
I was hoping someone can help!!!! My Birthday is coming up but I was trying to find out DOES ULTRABAR PLAY LATIN MUSIC? HISPANIC MUSIC? please someone can help? Thank you
Update 9/16/2023. I hate that Google doesn’t allow you to reply to response, but the the ownerships response is a LIE!! I repeatedly called Sheldon and he did nothing!! We was too busy taking care of his kids (who stayed yelling in the background while on the phone)!!! It was only after I posted this review that you called my son and begged him to ask me to remove this review! I stand by what I posted and let me be very clear… I reached out to ultra bar on very next day after my son’s birthday. Sheldon said he would look into it and never did! I had to call Sheldon back two weeks later only for him to tell me about a third party issues which isn’t my concern. You hired the third party and you should take that up with them. We reserved and paid for a section that was available on your website 10 days in advance!!!! You didn’t provide a service/product/experience that was not only requested but was also paid for… more importantly, I repeatedly called you to work this matter out and you told me “Do what you gotta do” and that’s when I made this review!!I ordered a VIP section for my son’s birthday a week in advance through ultra bars website only for my son to arrive for the event to be informed that they over book the section that my son paid for. I called the Manager Sheldon the very next morning to try and resolve this issue since my son was beyond upset and birthday was ruined. I was told by sheldon that he would looks into the matter and give me a call back. Sheldon never returned my call. Two weeks later I reached back out to him for him to tell me that he forgot to call me but his 3rd party company over booked and that his promoter told my son that the section was over booked. The only problem with that is my son’s information was never on the booking it was mine and no one never called me!!! Sheldon stated that my son was happy and was informed complete lies!! My son nor I was ever informed and my son’s birthday was ruined by the over booking problem of their 3rd party booking site!! Sheldon then became rude and stated that he believes his promoter and said “ do what you got to do” !!! Sheldon is completely unprofessional and beyond disrespectful!! This place will take your money allow you to book and specify the location of your booking only for you to arrive and be told that they over booked, but don’t won’t to refund your money or make matters right!!! Spend your money wisely and book some place else
I would give it 0 stars. It was great in its hayday but very bad completely empty crowd on Friday night and they charge you a bomb
I was so pleasantly surprised with my experience at Ultra bar this weekend. My sister had the best time celebrating her birthday there. It was really fun, the music and atmosphere was high energy, and the service exceeded my expectations. The balloon drop was also a great touch :)
Honestly this place looked really cool but I didnt even get to experience it. I was a dd for my friends for when we left the event so I was not drinking. But when we arrived at the event I was told that I was not allowed in because I was drunk even though I was not but my friends that I had arrived with were severely intoxicated. I then tried to get a second opinion from the other bouncer who just ignored me and told me to leave. I was then yelled at by who I assume was the manager that I needed to leave and get away from the area even though I was just standing to the side out of everyones way waiting for one of my friends to come out so I wasnt alone. I have really bad anxiety and had already been very nervous about going to a club for my first time ever so after he yelled at me multiple times I started to cry and he still continued to yell at me. I just dont understand why there wasnt anyone willing to talk to me and explain why I wasnt allowed in the building and honestly looking at the other reviews it seems that the staff just gets to choose who they let in whether they have a valid excuse or not. It was just kind of a terrible thing to have happened to you especially when trying something new for the first time ever.
Exceptional service and vibrant atmosphere! My friend, Baylin the bartender, adds a special touch to every drink. The bar has become my favorite spot in town. Cheers to great company and memorable evenings
Ultra is alway such a vibe! Gisselle, the bartender, gives great service, & is always prompt with our drink orders, on top of being so sweet. The rest of the staff has always been so welcoming & kind. Kadi & Baylin also are always so nice to us when we come by. I love the venue & the hospitality. A great place to hang out!
Ultra bar is genuinely the #1 best multilevel nightclub throughout the nation’s capital. Among the reasons that makes ultrabar unique from the other nightclubs I’ve been to in the city are as follows:1. Ultrabar is the only nightclub that offers five dance floors: Basement, Main level, Mezzanine, Latin, and Hip Hop. Each floor has its own cool vibe, a huge bar, and many VIP tables throughout four out of five floors.2. DJ’s are proficient, and I really enjoy the wide variety of music played such as: Electronic dance music, Latin music, Top 40’s, Pop remixes, and Hip Hop.3. The Laser beams, LED lights, along with the high-quality sound system, and the high energy of the huge crowds, all create an extremely fun ambience throughout the venue.4. The location of this nightclub is perfect, since it’s literally located in the heart of Downtown D.C. within walking distance from upscale pubs, fancy restaurants, posh hotels, Capital One Arena, and the entire historic area of the beautiful nation’s capital.5. Profesional staff and bartenders who are always very attentive and swift to serve drinks.6. They do balloon drops in the main floor after midnight on nights that get packed. This is something very cool and unique that I’ve only seen at Ultrabar.7. This place has a tendency of attracting a multitude of lively good-looking people who are ready to dance and party to the max.8. The price of drinks are definitely a bit more affordable to other nightclubs I’ve been to in the city.Although drinks at any nightclub in the District aren’t super cheap due to the enormous costs of running a large venue in any affluent city, realistically speaking — drinks here are affordable considering its upscale sector of D.C. Moreover, the overall costs of clubbing around here is comparable to a couple other affluent cities nationwide and worldwide with exclusive areas.According to their website and IG, this nightclub has been booming since 2006. From my own perspective, that tells me that they’ve been very successful with consistently providing a fun party scene that many people have actually enjoyed ever since the inception of Ultrabar. The same can’t be said about a few other nightclubs throughout the city — especially after the pandemic which had an undeniable impact on everything. Nonetheless, Ultrabar remains as the best multilevel nightclub in D.C. in which I’ve had numerous great moments, and have enjoyed a VIP table a couple times. The customer service from the cocktail servers has always been cheerful, kind, and attentive in checking up with us to serve more cranberry juice to mix up with our world class vodka. And I would like to say thank you to Mr. Dimitris, and the staff whom have given me, and my group of people stellar customer service. I am the type of person who always values friendliness and excellent service.Consequently, due to the many positive experiences I’ve had at ultrabar, it has impel me to write a five-star review on Google. Although I’ve also had good times at a selected number of venues in D.C. such as Echostage, and a few others — Ultrabar is undoubtedly the best multilevel nightclub I’ve ever been to.To conclude, I surely recommend Ultrabar 100 percent since it’s one of my favorite party venues I’ve ever been to nationwide.
Was there at Halloween- weekend Oct, 28. At the second floor with Latin Music there was no AC and because of that not usable. So if you want a sauna Experience for $20 this is your place to go!
Ultrabar is literally the best club with several levels in Washington DC. I have always had an elated time there and I really love the music, lights, people, energy, and drinks. There have been many times when my friends and I have reserved a VIP table, and let me tell you, the experience is very cozy and enjoyable.Whether you choose to reserve a table through their website or just have fun on the dance floors while indulging on a couple drinks at the bars, your night is more likely to be a great one! Tom, the bartender is a cool guy who has a serene demeanor, while always being ready to serve drinks upon customer’s request. As for the security guards and entire staff administration, I would personally rate their professionalism and customer service an A+ based on the countless positive experiences my friends and I have had. Mr. Marmaras and his partners do an excellent job with only hiring good people and consistently making Ultrabar such an awesome place to party! To sum up, I would definitely advice Ultrabar to anyone looking for a fun night out in Washington DC.
Love Ultrabar! Great music and atmosphere throughout the multiple levels of the club. The mixed drinks and their first-rate line of imported beers are top notch and fairly priced, considering the fact that this establishment is located in the heart of the nation’s capital. Getting a table is extremely affordable and I would recommend it if you come with a big group of friends. Security is on point inside and outside the club. It’s simply the best 18+ club in DC. Special thanks to Jimmy, Giuseppe, Galen, for always providing my friends and me with courteous customer service.
I always have a great time here! Some of the prettiest girls work there and the music is always on fire. If you’re looking for a fun and unforgettable time, then I’ll see you at Ultrabar!!!
Beware of this place! Seemingly great atmosphere but very suspicious here. Also they attempted to significantly overcharge my card. Had to resolve with CC
PLEASE DONT GO THERE. They promote on their website a free admission but it’s a lie. They charged me a $40 admission fee!! Drinks are bad, atmosphere is overrated, security staff is mean and the manager doesn’t care for safety and service plus they have a lot of under 21 people and they don’t even care for their safety there. UNETHICAL PLACE
If i could i‘d do no star. The music is terrible. The mixing is terrible. It’s smelling disgusting and hilariously expensive. Should be illegal. Left after 40 minutes cause you can’t do it longer.
What a joke. They advertise free entrance until certain amount of time but they charged us $20/pp to get in. Club is full of 18-year olds and no EDM floor which is the reason we came. Hard pass.
After seeing the reviews, I don’t even have to go. 1 star for everything. I was really looking forward to going but the reviews changed my mind.
Went there Saturday for one of my buddies birthday. The stairs are a killer but the top floor is jumping. VIP service the way to go the floor was a bit crowded for me. Our waitress took care of us she was cool and brought girls to our table.
If there is going to be a very strict dress code it should be very detailed on the website, which it was not. We got there, waited on line and the security guard told our group no timbs, and you gotta have a collared shirt on. We step to the side and another gentleman tells us the security told him no jordans meanwhile some of us was wearing jordans and he never told us anything about the j’s. We stayed for a while on the side and he let others in that were dressed the same as us (some even worse), so clearly he was picking and choosing. Terrible experience, a waste of time, what a waste of my night.
Ultrabar happens to be among the best clubs to party in DC. The establishment has four floors with different music genres played by talented DJs, and the overall atmosphere is always entertaining. My friends and I have enjoyed table service on multiple occasions and we’ve always had a fun time. The customer service from Jimmy Mar is absolutely exceptional, I consider him a tremendous asset to Ultrabar for many reasons, as well as the entire staff who are always very welcoming, friendly, and professional. This place also has outstanding security inside and outside the club in order to ensure the safety of its patrons. It is well situated near the Verizon Center and Constitution Avenue. Check out their pictures online showing how crowded and lit this place is. It is truly amazing on so many levels. Just make sure to look your best by following their dress code. Be ready to have a good time! In conclusion, I strongly recommend Ultrabar to anyone looking to have an enjoyable night out.
My man mufti came in clutch! So kind, made our experience better. The music was lit and the vibes were great!
Extremely overrated, false advertising, and overpriced. Spent a few hours here and tried to give it a shot but it didn’t live up to the hype. When I first arrived it was 10:15pm and advertised that it was free to get in until 11pm for 21+ men, but we had to pay $20 to enter. Once we got in the service was decent but, that’s about the only thing that was nice about this place. They also say on there website that they have 5 levels when they only have 3 or 4 if you count the basement where there’s only a small bathroom. This place is just a cheesy knock off of a high end club. It was pretty cringey watching some of the people in the VIP section get bottle service from a waitress holding a cheap strobe flashlight that barely worked while in the other hand hold a $25 bottle of liquor and put it on there table for $500. Everything about this place screamed cheap yet everything they sold was stupid expensive. Save your time and money and go somewhere else, where you’ll have a much better experience.
I went to ultra bar recently and had a much better experience than before COVID. This club has really stepped it up, it’s not over crowded by 18+ and the music has an actually updated set. I love that I can choose the music I want to hear based on the floor. Be sure to visit them all to get the full experience and if you want a really good time you might as well get a table, they have decent bottle pricing for the area. Bottle girls there are really nice, we had Katie and she made sure we had fun.
Security is unbelievable rude here. My boyfriend and I were dancing together on a platform where multiple other people were dancing and the bouncer demanded just we get down. We’ve been here 3 times but never again. We were dancing and having a great time prior to that and after just left and went to Madhatter instead
1 start is absolutely deserved. I read the reviews before coming and there was many of them that say the bouncers at door are rude. THEY ARE TRUE, and that’s very unfortunate.I came for the Halloween weekend and the websites, and the posts, by Ultra clearly stated that costumes are encouraged, which means NOT REQUIRED, and there was NOTHING that addresses there is a “dress code”. They disallowed my entrance because I didn’t have a costumes, and because I had regular pants on. The pants are APPROPRIATE and doesn’t show anything that is unacceptable. It was crystal clear based on his response that he made that up so that he doesn’t allow me in for no apparent reason. SO RUDE when he was speaking to me with so much offensive attitude. I tried to clarify with him that the social media post does not say costumes required, and seek explain explanation on what was “wrong” about my outfit, but he was not willing to explain or show any respect to me as I was respectful and trying to reach a clear idea so that next time I keep in mind you guys’ rule. At some point it felt like he was discriminating. Not cool! You guys NEED to improve your customer service because that’s what represent your behaviors and how you interact with people AND you have to be CLEAR about you rules, and not make them up at the front door.I’m sad that this is my first time coming to you with so much excitement, and it’s the first impressions. If you’re reading this, please save your self the time and money and go to a place that makes you feel welcomed and comfortable spending your time to have good time.
Energy was fun but staff was horrible. First the bouncer took my real ID and didnt believe that I was actually 21. After some convincing, I was able to get in. The girl at the bar was a crook. She charged me $35 for a single malibu and pineapple juice (the same drink upstairs only costed me $14). Too much of the staff were terrible and I am never coming back here.UPDATE from 7/3: The response from the owner was just show, I reached out to the email provided and called the place multiple times to have this resolved but no one ever got back to me.
I love this place been here couple of times they never disappoint you each floor has a bar and you can bounce on any floor. Good place for a group party and the crowd is really amazing in there always.
DO NOT USE YOUR CARD HERE. It was pretty nice, the idea and the inside is pretty cool, but if you don’t want over charges, extra fees, and them stealing extra money from you don’t go. My girl and I had four drinks and they charged my card $140 two days after.
I want to start off by saying that the place is not as nice as the pictures show and the top floor is not fully done. My boyfriend and I came here last night for new years and he was almost not allowed in for wearing timbs, and his ticket for NYE was super overpriced. He also got four, very tiny watered down drinks that totaled at $80. And also, the music sucked in general. Most of it was pretty outdated.Edit:In response to the owners’ “sorry-not-sorry” style response, I don’t know how any legitimate DC DJ with 15 years experience would bother to play some corny music like the fresh prince of bel air theme song and Indian music. And in response to Timbs not being business casual, here’s a picture of Jay Z wearing them. Apparently they’re good enough for a millionaire celebrity but not good enough for your club 🤡🤡🤡 not to mention the number of dudes that wore flannel to the party.
Tries to double charge me at the entrance, saying I didnt pay the first time even when I just tapped the card 30 seconds before. $40 for a tiny glass of jager red bull and a shot of jager, literal highway robbery lol. Money pit / scam of a place thatll get those who are completely clueless. DJs music was alright but it couldve been better.
Called twice to inquire about any 18+ events they might have. Was hung up on both times with no answer.
I only gave one star because of the layout .. Having four floors for every persons music type is literally the coolest; however paying $20 each to go in and not told exactly what you can and can’t do is beyonddd me .. they saw three girls alone and dead took an L straight out of my friends mouth now saying that it’s not allowed yet the smoke was as thick as a fog machine? the staff pick and choose and are rude asl and on a power trip fr .
Ultra bar is the absolute worst. First the security guards are so rude and find anyway to touch your back while walking behind you. Along with that, their drinks are way overpriced and aren’t good. Then I gave my coat to coat check and they “misplaced” my jacket. Then didn’t give me a refund and gave me a number that doesn’t allow you to talk to a real person. Never going to this club ever again and id advise you don’t unless you want your stuff taken because the coat check girl probably stole my jacket. Never been so infuriated. I wish I could give it zero stars because that was the worst experience of my life.
I came to visit Washington DC for the weekend for Easter. My husband and I went to Ultrabar waiting in line for a little over 30 minutes just to get to the door and staff checking ID told my husband he was not allowed in because he had sneakers on. When I asked how come if every other male there had sneakers on and it was never mentioned in the dress code online. He responded very rudely and very unprofessional. The experience would have been a lot better if staff would have treated us fairly. I would think twice about attending this nightclub.
Was walking up the steps with my wife and some of the people from my unit then some guy grabbed my wife’s arm and yanked her..she yells “get off of me!” and pulls her arm away I then proceeded to ask the man in a non kind manner… obviously, you just put ur hands on my wife then a security guard comes up and insists I drop it and move on but the guy thought is was a good idea to grab my arm and apologize I then said not to touch me and told the security guard he should be kicked out then the guy touches me again to apologize and this is when I started to raise my voice so the security guard…. so he took him away I’m just confused on the fact that it takes me having to raise my voice to get someone kicked out but totally disregard the fact that this guy grabbed my wife’s arm squeezed it and yanked her it’s ridiculous… idk why I dropped it because now we see this morning she has three bruises on her arm
This is one of the nightclubs with that actually has good costumer service. Lets be real, most nightclubs staff are rude, is part of the environment. But this nightclub actually care. I have made bottle service reservations with Mufti a couple of times and he is always very welcoming and attentive. Security in the VIP area always make sure that you are comfortable and nobody is bothering you. And even if some misunderstanding happen the bottle service staff will make sure to co rrect anything and follow up during the next week. Everytime I feel like having bottle service this is hands down the place I choose.
This is a place where you do not want to be at. Please if you care about your safety and your money do not go here. After two drinks at this place; my spouse was severely drowsy and we got charged for our drinks $109 dollars which it was the price of our drinks which is totally fine; but we also got charged $1,270 dollars for no reason. This place is unsafe and they will run your credit card for insane amounts of money way after you leave. Since I cant seem to be able to get ahold of them over the phone I have decided to leave a review. Please be safe and stay out of here.Today is June 12. I have sent you an email and I havent heard from you guys so the issue still remains and the business havent communicated with me about this issue.
Not happy with our experience. Couldn’t get into the club because of yeezy shoes but they let in people with dirty converse and other varieties of sneakers. Thought this was an upscale club but if you look like you just came from the gym your good to get in. If your dressed In a nice outfit with Yeezys goodluck getting in. Not impressed. Security is beyond rude and that is not only unprofessional, but to the owners should be considered unacceptable.
Despite many negative reviews on security being rude, we found them to be very professional, quick and dedicated. Actually noticed a very relaxes dress code enforcement. The problem IMHO with this place is the absence of coat check (as of Sat Sept 24th) and an extremely poor level of house music played, remind me of a party self arranged at high school. I am not expecting a European level of clubbing experience, nor to see Tiesto or other, but for a club that aim to be top in the nation capital...there is a LOOOONG way to go. Facility can see several updates that can actually bolster the quality of experience by a lot. Personally I dont think hip-pop or non serious house music should be played in such club.
I celebrated my birthday at Ultrabar this past weekend and had an amazing time! The music was great, the atmosphere was fun, the workers inside were super nice, and I loved the balloon drop :)
Went for Halloween weekend last night. Music on half the floors were terrible, and ones that had good or decent music still didnt flown or match well. Sometimes the song would change to a completely different genre and pace, etc. There was little to no space to sit or rest unless youre VIP. Small and compact, so the sound quality isnt the best and every now and then some of the bass felt overpowering, as if it was going to explode or break. The staff I encountered were fine, the lady in the bathroom helped me, a person at the stairs was guiding the traffic of people around so that also felt helpful, and the bartender at the balcony overlooking the ground/1st floor was very sweet and kind. I also noticed there was little to no decoration or style and I wish there were more lights. It didnt feel fun until after a while when more people arrived and people actually started dancing. A huge thing that was frustrating and disappointing was the wait for the other floors to open, only to be let down by the not-so-great music and DJs when they finally did. The line didnt take too long, but the entrance fee is ridiculous and overpriced for the type of club this is. All in all, the environment, setting, and music were not worth the price and I doubt I would come here again. Also recommend and advise others to avoid this place, I wish I had read reviews and looked up more clubs beforehand to see if they were any good and worth it.
Always a good time when you come here! I’ve always had a good night coming to ultra. The music is up to date and I love the variety they have. Each floor is such a different vibe and my favorite are the latin and hip hop floors.
Nikki at Ultrabar charged me and one of my friends $20 each to get in on ladies night even through we had the free pass from the website but let another friend in with the same pass, then tried to tell me that I had the wrong pass even though the link said March 10 on it which was the date that we were there. Dont waste your money.
I had fun inside but The security guy was rude (the one who check the ids first) he didn’t want to let me in first, even if i had a shirt he said i need a shirt with sleeves??? Like what? And he wasn’t even nice about it!
Have a bull**** dress code. Told me & my friend we couldn’t get in because we weren’t wearing a to dress shirt with our jordans!!! Dont come here, DC has too many nice clubs to be dealing with that bs. + security was rude
This place is not responsible with the young audience that they cater to. We witnessed several women who were not even conscience walking out of the bar - we called an ambulance and they didn’t even take the alcohol poisoning situation seriously.
The atmosphere, drinks, and music are great! They have a variety of different music on each floor, so you will not get bored of the place. Love the bartenders, they are super friendly and fun to talk to.
Visited DC for a few days and was looking for the nightclub scene since we’re from Orlando and our entire downtown is clubs. On Saturday, We found this place since one of our party was under 21 it was recommended by another bouncer as one of the only places to go so we decided to check it out. Getting in the line was long and PACKED with under 21s. Since this is one of the only clubs AND one of the few that allowed under 21, they are ROBBING THESE PEOPLE. Cover for over 21 was $20!! and under was $30. Minimum card charge was $25 so you have to open a tab although it’s hard to reach that as two shots and a bud light was $24. Coat check is $4 PER item. Other than pricing this club was awesome. Four floors all different music. Basement was a small lounge playing chill hip hop, first floor was EDM/House, second floor was Latin night and third floor was hip hop/rap. Very inclusive and many choices all in one so that was cool. Pretty clean bathrooms and everything. Would recommend but bring cash.
Perfect place for those who want a bit of everything. Sometimes I get tired of hearing the same type of music so it’s nice to be able to just switch floors to get a different atmosphere instead of having to go to completely different clubs and wait in line again. It gets packed but the bartenders are really friendly so they make the wait for a drink enjoyable
Its a good place in terms of music, but it goes beyond that, seeing women as a product and men as the real consumer. The guards are unprofessional and lack education but if you enjoy those things you will enjoy the banality of the place. As a foreigner I had an unpleasant experience.
My friends and I had a great night here! We went for Lit Fridays and it definitely was lit. There was one guy in our group and we got to the door right at 11:30 and the bouncer charged him at first. Guys 21+ got in for free before 11:30 that night so we mentioned the free pass to him and showed it on our phones and thankfully he let us all in for free. We drank before coming so I cant comment on the drink prices but the music was great. Ill definitely come back.
They have 3 floors with different music playing on each one and it’s party anywhere you are. 1st floor is pop, 2nd is Latin, and 3rd is hip hop. There’s always a huge line but it moves quickly. The staff are all super nice and helpful. They saw a guy pestering me and 3 different employees offered me a hand, from getting rid of them to making sure I got in a Uber without him.
I’ve been coming to ultra for years. Always a good vibe and always packed on the weekends. They have passes on their website for discounted early admissions.
Said 21+ Free till 12:30pm showed the screen shot and they did not honor that. Entry fee was $20 per person. The first floor smelled of sweat just walking down the stairs to the first floor. The walls literally were dripping and bathrooms were unstocked, broken handles, and dirty. Stairs between levels were coated in dirt and trash. Drinks were outrageous. Lot of people in just their underwear as well. Just felt hot and dirty in there. Some pros service for drinks was quick and music was great.
Not worth it. horrible service. so overhyped. mean bouncers. mean staff. expensive. bad atmosphere. good music tho. sus men. will not be returning.
Went there Last night. Music was okay. I like how there was three floors to go to with different vibes. But there seems to be a problem with favoritism. Walked around with a durag on and was told to take it off but there was multiple white people with caps on and wasn’t told a thing. And one of the security guards decided to nearly cuss me out and yelled at me when I mentioned that he didn’t say anything to others with hats on. If your not 21 I wouldn’t bother even going here, they’re way too strict and if your vibe is more on the urban side, definitely don’t come here.
Sweetest bartenders and cocktail waitresses. Great place to go on a night out when in DC!
I will NEVER go back to Ultrabar again! I went out with some friends during my birthday weekend for some fun. I had never been here before & wanted to see if it was hot or not. When I got there, the line was pretty long on both sides of the door and the security wasnt really moving the line along. It started to rain and it wasnt until 15 minutes into the rain that the security brought out tents for the line to stand under. When we got in, there were 4 or 5 levels(lost interest right away) with different music genres on each. Im more for the R&B and some hip-hop, but there were only 2 levels that played that music. The nicest level was the top, but you cant stay there unless you buy a table which is absolutely WACK! Overall, I did not get a good vibe or enjoy myself at this club. There were too many old heads(people 40+) at this club. This is not a place for people looking for a good time in their Twenties.
Thank you for the good time , and big thank you to Sheldon for all his help he is the BEST !! I will be back soon … get your bottle service…
Ive been to this club twice and the first time it was great, we had no issues. A bouncer even helped my friend find his ID. The second time, one of my friends wasnt allowed into the club after being accused of being drunk (he hadnt drank at all). Then after me and my girlfriend entered the club, 20 minutes in, they accused my girlfriend of drinking out of a mans drink and threw us both out because we were under 21. I paid 20 dollars to get into a club for 20 minutes, I was beyond livid.
Super overpriced- both the drinks and the entry. Also, not sure why they still charge a $20 cover even if you enter during the last hour. The club itself also isn’t all that great, super high school party vibes. Should be cheaper for guests 21+ considering most of their guests are 18 year olds.
EDIT: after reading a few more reviews it seems that the guy I’m taking about just likes to pick fights with people. He told me he was the manager when I asked to speak to the manager, but he may have just been a bouncer.—I’ve been here twice. The first time was at the end of Janurary this year and there were no issues. The second time was a week and a half ago and the manager made sure that it was a horrible experience. He insisted that my driver’s license was fake despite being told by the police standing nearby that it was a real ID. He was extremely insolent the entire time. I showed my ID and the manager immediately says “where’s your real ID?” He goes on to rudely tell me how he does IDs for a living, making him an expert, and therefore it’s his call. My state has issued thinner licenses than some for the past three or four years, but that’s not within my control. The manager then starts looking up pictures of licenses from my state to compare to my license, although just a few minutes earlier he claimed to be an “expert” at licenses, and consults the nearby police. They tell him that’s it’s a real ID, but he still won’t accept it. After asking several times what the issue was with my license, I was told I’d have to show another form of identification to get in. At this point the manager started ignoring my questions altogether. So I showed the passport to the other employee who’d been checking IDs. This guy finally admitted that it was likely a real ID, but now I couldn’t be let in because the license would be considered tampered with. So despite being shown a passport, a form of identification that can stand alone, I couldn’t be let in because of my license.
I came here last night with a friend for her 20th birthday and a few of her friends around her age also joined us. We printed out the online “VIP tickets” where Ladies under 21 could get in free until 11 PM and those of us over 21 had until 12 AM. We were in line by 10:30 PM. The line was held up for an hour. By the time we got to the front, it was too late for my friend and her friends to get in free and they had to pay $20. Just a complete waste of time. We didn’t end up going in and the bouncers were rude and inconsiderate of the cold weather and people outside waiting.Would not recommend this place to anyone over 21. Not worth it.P.S. Most of the people in line were either white, Asian, or Indian. Only a handful of Black people so if you’re only into Hip-Hop/Rap, this is probably not the place for you.
I reserved a table online for a ladies night out. I then got a call that I needed to sign a pre-authorization. Warning - read the entire thing because it states that they will charge your card in advance for the $400 minimum. At no time did they tell me that the table wouldnt be ready when the place opened. Apparently the different levels open at different times. We waited on the first floor for our table and they would not apply the tab at the first bar apply toward the $400 minimum. Said that I should have made the doorman aware that I had a table...what does that have to do with the bar tab? I took this up with the manager and our waitress. He insisted he couldnt do anything about it because I didnt notify the doorman when we came in. They dont tell you all of these ridiculous rules when you reserve your table. All he would do is through in a cheap bottle of champagne. Once we got to the our table, we waited over 30 minutes for our bottle after I made the selection. The service was so so. I would have had a much better time had they gone through all of the rules and specifics at the time I spoke on the phone when I made the reservation. $400 minimum for a table there is way over priced. Plus 2 of my guests, very attractive ladies, had to pay $20 each to get in. It was LADIES night! Really???
The Bouncers are very uptight. And made it a point to enforce the dress code that you never hear about. I was dressed with slacks, and button down shirt; However my Adidas sneakers was crossing the line and I had to pay 30. However, my friends had fake looking timberlands and got in free. I dont like making anything racial, and I do not think the establishment is racist, but if you are Black and you violate any of the dress code you will be paying. If you take a smoke break, and you wear any dress code violations they will harass you. When I went out for a smoke break I was harassed but my white counterparts werent. Mind you, I have never committed a crime and I have a Masters Degree. My two friends, that were white, got in free although they violated the code, but still was able to get in.The drinks are also way overpriced. My friend paid over 200 dollars for drinks.Other then that, the atmosphere was great on all levels, especially the bottom. Just get pass the bodyguards, make sure you follow the code, get their early, and you should be
This club is super cool! It has multiple floors and they each play different music so there’s a vibe for everyone! The service is fast and all of the bartenders are hot! Highly recommend!
I’ve gone to ultra bar before & enjoyed it but yesterday I went I had a problem with this white girl who claims works there. She was wearing neon pink like swim suit it looked like, she had very long blonde hair. She was tall & skinny. Long story short, I was with my friends dancing and this girl comes out of no where and pushes me out of the way just to get through in front of me. Mind you she had no manners to say excuse me or anything or could of gone through behind me. So I told her when she pushed me to excuse herself. Of course she didn’t like that I had said that and started threatening me to fight me like made a big scene about it and was saying that she works there and that she can do whatever the f*** she wanted. Literally feeling entitled. And the whole time I kept bumping into her for the rest of the night and kept seeing her mean mugging me. I think it’s very unprofessional to have someone that works there threaten their guests simply because they don’t have any manners. I would like to speak to a manager about this situation! Or I will take matter into my own hands & make sure there is consequences for this behavior.
First time at the club! Free admission was great. I liked the different themes of each floor. The music was overall easy to dance to and it was not overly crowded when we went (10 pm-12 am).
We had a bad experience we waited in line just to be told one of our friends cannot get in for the way he was dressed( He was wearing black Jordans and a black tee bouncer told him he had to have a collared shirt) . Then the bouncer proceeded to let people of the same outfit go in and ruin our whole night.
We opened table at Ultrabar last weekend for an event. And my friend‘s credit card was taken to hold the tab. And when we left,we have drunk friend so it was kinda chaotic. But the bartender never returned the credit card, and the weirdest thing was no one asked us to signed the bill. Next day we checked the bank transcation there is a $910 charge, which is fine because we did spend the night. On Monday, we tried to call Lost and Found office, no one picks up. Finally we reached them and they told us there is no credit card to be found.. I was like????? 🤨🤨🤨
Admission is expensive and drinks are $15 per mixed drink. Staff is friendly. Lots of security. Very young crowd but no issues.
The service is really bad. Even when not busy... bar tenders have no interest in helping you as any other place would. The bouncers are rude and unprofessional. It is nothing I have ever experienced before in my life and as a club promoter I would expect more from a high end club. I recommend to use your money wisely else where where you and your friends can actually enjoy your time because this club is a waist of time and effort.
I rather drink laxative and lock my self in the restroom before stepping in this shi
Horrible experience. Me and my friends had to pay and there was a promo on Instagram saying it was free but it wasn’t and we were on the guest list and we had to wait in line and we got there at 11:40 and when it was 12:15 we finally got to the top of the line and the person said it was 20 bucks because it’s pass 12 but on the promo on Instagram it said all night for free. Also when me and my friends wanted water from the bar tender she would not give us water and just say “we are busy right now ask someone else” like that’s a horrible response what if I was dying of thirst. Those girls on the third floor at the bar were just rude and disrespectful. Also finally the guys there will just grab you and be disgusting. I had an accident were I was just walking down the stairs to the second floor were they play R&B music and this guy smoothly touched my but AND I was so mad like that’s so disrespectful. This experience was not the best and I would never go there again and waste money like this.
I used to come here often with friends but after my last experience with them last weekend, I will not be coming back. (I recommend Decades in DC instead-the BEST!!!!). Anyway, I was sent a DM on Instagram saying that I won a table with a bottle for my friends (mind you Ultrabar is 18+ and the contest I entered had zero requirements except that you must obviously be of age to get in which I am because I’m 20.) I arrived with a group of my friends on a rainy day. I was planning on staying in but that Friday, but I won the table, so I decided to grab my friends for a fun night. I arrive with them and they say there is a $60 fee for the table that I “won” and that I can no longer have it because I’m 20 and a child. I told them those with me who were 21 would have the bottle and the rest of us who were 19-20 would just be at the table. But no, the bouncer was rude and said he would no longer speak to us because we were “children” even though we’re in college and pay our own bills... but then, he said he’d just offer us free entry instead, which was NOTHING because I got in free all the time anyway (not to sound cocky). After this experience, I will not be returning. I also mentioned this on IG on my story a week ago and still no resolution or offering of another table. All the offered once again was free entry, which was never the issue or needed. So I’ll gladly celebrate my 21st along with my friends at DECADES and I will also be recommending my 18-21+ friends to celebrate there to and to stay away from Ultra Bar.🎊🎉❤️
Four floors of varying music, bars on each floor. Always a live DJ on the first floor. Only downside is the price, average cover charge is $20 a person and they have a minimum charge to cards of $25 I believe (so bring cash) coat check is $10 and you must be dressed in semi formal attire or the bouncers give you grief (still got in). drink prices are average for DC but expensive nonetheless. cran/vodka was 12 bucks (could be justified by DC pricing and liquor brand) but bud light was about $5 as well. Both times I have been there someone has tried to fight me, maybe cause Im nerdy guy and they were very drunk but bouncers were very helpful both times and were very understanding instead of just trying to throw both parties out.
I LOVE this place!! every time I go with my friends we have a blast!! Ultrabar has so many floors to choose from! My fav is the Latin floor. The bartenders are great and so the music! There is always a good vibe
FYI: Thursday night is kiddies nightSo went on the wrong day apparently
Total ripoff. They operate by pulling a bait and switch scheme on people attending the club. They promised $20/person(already a lot imo) online then jacked that up to $50/person when they noticed a big line outside the door. Plus the club itself is pretty lame not much there. Dont waste your time with this place, they are scam artists
We celebrated my friend’s younger sister’s birthday there and had the time of our lives! The staff was very accommodating and made it a great night!
Ultra bar is a very fun place to be! 4 levels, different types of music on each floor, and a different vibe. Everyone that works there bottle girls, bartenders, etc. are all very nice!
Price of the drinks was way overpriced, the dress code is ridiculous and it’s way too hot to not be in shorts. Would never go back.
Ultrabar is a fun place but the employees there are very arrogant, immature and disrespectful. Me and my friends have been here various times, On the latin level, the bartender there is very disrespectful the first time I went there He cursed me out and called me a b*th for no reason! The security guard was removing me and my friend from the seats and saying that we couldnt sit there, He was yelling at our face just rude. CLEARLY they are seats for sitting! The bartender refused to attend my friends when they waited a long time for a drink and he was racist. Each time the employees play around with people being arrogant knowing many are drunk/tipsy..Dont come here. I would like to speak with the manager of this location😒
Manager Sheldon was very unprofessional and lacked any consideration for circumstance. I paid $80 for tickets to an event here and the staff lost my credit card, made me wait for over an hour and offered zero reparations for their mistake. Not even an apology. I asked for a partial concession on the tab for making me wait and was basically told I couldn’t have my credit card back until I paid the full tab despite my dispute. The event organizer offered me a refund and was very cordial but management at this establishment is completely subpar, irresponsible, and shady. Manager Sheldon should be let go and replaced by management that takes responsibility for their failures. I would NOT recommend this place simply because of manager Sheldon alone. I was basically intimidated by brute muscle to sign my check or not receive my credit card back. I felt completely captive and forced into a bad position. It would have been a great time otherwise.
I am not one to post reviews but I had to tonight. Last time I was here was three years ago when I was 21 and today I remember why I never came back. Service from security, the bouncers, and the bartenders is not good, drinks are overpriced (I was charged a $12 gratuity fee for a bartender to serve five tequila shots), ratio of male to females is wayy uneven and you have to add the $20 cover charge to that.I see that mostly the only people that post positive reviews for this place are the ones that cannot legally buy alcohol in D.C. This place is okay if you are one of them, but if you are old enough to buy alcohol I 100% recommend you save yourself the $20 cover charge and spend it on drinks in one of the other many better bars around the D.C area.
No issues getting in and I have no idea what dress code people were talking about. I came in wearing an out-of-place oversized hoodie dress with sneakers and some snowflake leggings and I was let in no problem. Loved the multifloors and drink prices were reasonable. Loved the music. Thanks for making my Friday night.Try us again on the minimum card charges and Ill be happy to flag you all to Visa and all the other companies for that. c:
After living in DC for almost a year and a half, I decided to give Ultra a shot. This was definitely the first AND last time I will be headed here. The clubs atmosphere and clientele were like none I had experienced before, and the floors were extremely crowded and cramped due to the abundance of people let in-- far beyond any of the other clubs I had visited prior. Due to the uncomfortable visit and atrocious venue, I will not be returning.
This is the place where you have the time of your life. I love this place so much. Especially the guy with the long beard, beautiful eyes, and drip. Mufti
Ever since moving to DC, Ultrabar is my go to place to go out! The security and staff is extremely welcoming and want their patrons to have a good experience. Drinks there are great quality and you don’t have to wait a while to be served. My favorite part about Ultrabar though, is the different levels and music! It makes for a very unique experience unlike any other night club I’ve been to. And the place is always super packed on weekends! If you’re looking for a fun night out with your friends, Ultrabar is the place to go!
I have frequented ultrabar many times over the years, and after last nights experience, I wont be coming back. It seems that others have had a similar experience with one bouncer in particular; that doesnt know how to properly assess a valid ID. He laughed rudely after I told him to scan it, and told me to bring a real ID next time. Luckily another bouncer verified that it was real, but I received no apology for his unprofessional behavior after originally being turned away. A message to management: hire WELL TRAINED security that know how to interact with your patrons and assess IDs -- not bullies. Im absolutely disgusted and offended, but I doubt this will change.
Place was crazy expensive and overcrowded. Tried to dance but there were so many people trampling over us we couldnt move. Upper level bars are small and people openly vape/smoke so theyre hotboxed. Pretty ratchet-- not sure why anyone 21+ would come here, unless youre an older dude looking for a teen. Clearly mob run. By the time we left there were 7 cops at the entrance waiting to shut it down. Only decent thing was the music on the main floor.
I loved it,Mufti took care of me with my vip section for my fiancés birthday party!!! And my bottle girl took great care of us the whole night, and she was very pretty too!! I really enjoyed myself I will def be back!!
I was considering going to this place tonight to check it out. Considering all the bad reviews from former guests about the aggressive bouncers and poor customer service I doubt I would enjoy myself. I expect good customer service and respect anywhere I spend my hard earned money. Apparently somethings not right. This place needs more quality staff, happy customers, better reviews!
Definitely one of the best clubs in DC. Great atmosphere, music, cocktails, excellent service and friendly staff.
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!!1) the stuff is rude2)I went to this club with two friends. One of my friends was 21 the others were under 21.The 21 year old ordered himself two beers and we sat down together. One of the bouncers just came and kicked me and my friend out of the club because we were allegedly drinking even though we didnt even touch one of the bottles. In addition we couldnt even explain ourselves but just got kicked out.We spent $20 for this club and didnt even get the money back.
Every time I’ve been here I’ve always had an amazing experience. Great drinks, music, and people !
They told me that I-need to change my whole outfit and both of my friends are fine so I didn’t had no problem go home and change. Then I come back to the place and now they told me that I was good to go in and not my friends when they just told them they was good but now it not so I waste our money to travel there for nothing if they can’t let us in. I think they are very picking and races so I won’t be travel there that spot anymore. This is suck
My first time here was a bad experience the bouncers are rude and uptight especially one called Alexander. I was invited to my friends VIP birthday party. I got to the line and told them I was on the VIP list they claimed I had to pay ignoring what I had mentioned. It was my first time I figured the rules might be different. Fast forward it turns out I wasnt suppose to pay entrance fee when I asked for a refund the bouncer Alexander said no refund!!!!!! no explanations Given, he was very unprofessional turning his back towards me. I think management should invest in giving proper management customer service skills. Its not about the money its about the PRINCIPAL!
A very well run establishment. Step into Ultrabar and experience every dance club within western Europe and much of the Mediterranean. The music is forward thinking and in the same direction as the social and dance environment. Reflects great credit on the profession and the City of Washington DC. A Bank of of bumping dance music and a fortune of social fun for all ages. Music felt, a wonderful nightlife making for a great memory and awesome evening. A place to simply enjoy and be enjoyed by the one youre with. Now stop reading this and go Dance!
The worst Bar service! The bartenders are not properly trained and totally unprofessional. It took them anywhere between about 20-40 minutes to take my orders and mind you I had a tab opened so that its quicker to get my drinks. My bartender was Josh and he completely ignored me throughout the night and i finally got one of the other bartenders to close my tab (after someone who was standing next to me told one of the servers that i have been waiting for a long time when she tried to take his order...nice dude)...as she tried to take my order i expressed my frustration of waiting 40 minutes in front of the bar and went ahead and harassed me and called me names. I told her just close my tab and im out of here. When the bill came i saw that they have mandatory tipping and i came to realization that this is probably the reason for their poor and disrespectful customer service. Take your hard earned money somewhere else.
We were denied entry because a friend in our group was wearing what the bouncer described as tennis shoes. Yet the group of girls in front of us who obviously werent even 21 and barely wearing any clothing were let in, no problems at all. I get that its a club but come on. Denial because of foot wear? Im glad I dont live in this area, all the bars and clubs we did attend sucked anyway so this one was probably no different judging from all the negative reviews about it.
Visited a few weeks ago with some friends and had so much fun! I think I danced the whole night
I usually don’t like to post bad reviews for business because I understand it really hurt the business but last weekend my 6 friends and I all went to ultrabar and got a table. Everything was fine like at the beginning they ask for our ID and credit card for the table and my friend Katie gave it to them and they lose it and they blamed it US for losing it when they CHARGED the card for the night but never gave it back to us. That was not all my friend also lost her phone that night and the next day we checked the location of the phone it was still at Ultrabar but they all deny seeing or finding the phone which I fine really suspicious. And to top everything off! We tried to call Ultrabar and management and NO ONE PICKED UP! And my friends had to drive from Columbia to DC twice to talk to them and they were just RUDE TO US
Ive been going to Ultrabar for over 3 years now, the staff is always extremely nice and very welcoming. All the different floors offer a variety of different vibes and its always a great time! Definitely my favorite club in DC!
Ultra bar was by far the best club i’ve been too and I had so much fun! Security was great and handled every situation that cametheir way so well! I am so impressed and will definitely be coming back! ❤️ Shout out to Allan & Sebastian. They work there and made sure my friends & I’s night was worth it!
The place it was okay but there was a racist security he kept bothering me the whole night I went to sit to the VIP area because a friend said it was ok for me to sit there and he came and said get out you can’t be here in a bad way he did this twice! Then I went to the back and I took off my shoes because I was so tired and he came again and he grabbed me, he said put your shoes on or I’m gonna take you out and he start to scream at me like for no reason it was my first time I didn’t know, and I wasn’t the only one but he had a problem with me I don’t know why I feel like it was very racist it was the worst experience because I really felt bad, it was the first time something like that happened to me.
Best place Ive ever partied, 4 floors of dancing each with different types of music. Theres always an array of people & good drinks. Its best to get a table because youll need a break to sit down & recover after all the dancing youll be doing. & take uber/lyft there because parking is hard to find.
BEWARE!!!! DO NOT HAVE YOUR TAP OPEN! DISHONEST BARTENDERS! Great music, great people , but when it came to paying the bill everything went down the road. Bartender charged extra drinks + tips were included , when we challenged our bill, we were threatened by police, which we didn’t mind. When police came , bartender agreed to take extra drink out from the bill, the guy who we met at the club also stated that he was overcharged... we have our own business and that is not how it works. All we want to recommend is to keep track of the bill, because in between you will be accused of being drunk, unreasonable and threatened ... Check your bill people, possible(its sad ) have video record or pay cash, do not have your tap open !!!!!P.S. this experience prompted me to look through other peoples reviews and it feels like many people have same concerns with being fakely overcharged, but there was no single comment from the management in regards to this matter, very sad and unethical.
Don’t waste your time here they steal your money and when you try to contact them they don’t answer anything. They charged me 60$ although I only received 2 shots. DONT GO HERE THEY STEAL!
I love this place! A few friends and I went out to ultrabar for a few drinks and everyone was extremely friendly and welcoming!Drinks were really good but the real plus side was the fact that they had multiple floors with different music in all floors!! Def. a place to revisit.
Visited DC a few days ago, on Saturday night. Bouncer was very rude. My girls got kicked out because she stumbled one time so bouncer made her leave. Listen to the bad reviews on here go to another club. Place is so small and so overcrowded. Drinks are insanly priced. Spent 20 bucks just to get in for an hour to only be kicked out. Place Is a s**thole.
Went there for a friends birthday party. The line was all the way to the end of the block and we got there at 11. The only people who were getting in were the VIP section and the keg bus. Another thing to note . People who think this is for a 18-23 crowd, the only people I saw actually going in were people from the Middle East in their mid to late twenties. There are free passes but unless you get there extremely early there is no point in wasting your ink, since the wait in line will put you past the deadline. The birthday girls who did get in early had a horrible time there. The drinks were watered down, there was a bunch of creepy guys there sitting in the corner, and it was crowded like crazy. So unless you are trying to throw down Benjamins just to be at this crappy place, and your whole group can get there at 7pm, I wouldnt recommend it. The quality of this bar makes College Park bars look reputable.
My sister and I went to Ultrabar tonight and the guy taking the money was rude as hell and he charged us $20 each yet charged others $20/couple. When approached he cut us off and turned his back. We will never be back. One of the other workers told us he over charged and it shouldve only been $10 a piece. Lesson learned. This place is the worst and I wouldnt recommend it to anyone EVER!!!! #0stars
Overpriced, terrible vibe, and men are not allowed to dance on the stage. Did not have fun. Theres a lot better places to go in town. Avoid at all costs.Update:. Staff made us move to wait for our Uber. Definitely hate that I had to come here again for the conference I am with. Dont come here unless you have to
This is the worst place! The website said that guys cant have jeans or work boots so my boyfriend put on a pair of nice cargo shorts and nice shoes and they wouldnt let him in, they pretended that they werent from around there and that theyre pretty sure theres some stores open where he would buy some nice pants. At 11:30 at night? No there is not around there. We traveled an hour and a half to get there and now know better, they lost over $100 last night plus drinks which I know isnt much but they are also never going to see me or him ever again. And I will continue to post and say horrible things about them
Decent fun at that place. The benefit of Ultrabar is the large number of spaces. Place has four floors: 1) bottom floor with coat check, a bar, and space to sit and a small dance floor; 2) main floor with a huge bar and dance floor, with a tiny stage on which dancers and (when empty) club attendees can dance; 3) third floor which often plays Latin music, with a fairly large dance floor and bar; 4) fourth floor with a small dance floor and small bar, often reserved for semi-private events. This layout makes this a versatile venue with four different music styles playing, a fair amount of space to sit down and have a drink, lot of dance floor space, which means that usually its not uncomfortably crowded (though Friday-Saturday night attendance around midnight to one is quite high).Bathrooms are decently clean. The coat check is a rip-off though - you pay for each item, so dont wear a scarf along with your coat.
Ultrabar is a great venue! Definitely one of the top venues Ive been to in DC. From the music to the bars, and staff I had a great experience here and would recommend this club to others. Ive heard they also do Private and Corporate events as well
I’d never been to a club before so my friends decided to take me here for my birthday. We spent a lot of money on a hotel room in DC just to go to this club, we waited for almost two hours outside in the line and I’m wearing heels that are killing my feet. We finally get to the door and the security stares at me and claims I’m too “drunk” because I’m wobbling, because my feet are in excruciating pain from standing for so long... I was with a group of girls and they had went inside already because I was the last to get my id checked. The security guard gave me my ID back and said “nah leave”My friend comes outside and we decide to try again, we go to a different line with a different security guard and he looks at us and tells me I have to pay double to get in .... I was like whatever so I had him $40 and my ID... and he looks at my friends and says “go wait for her inside” and as soon as my friend goes into the club the security guard handed me my money back and told me to leave... he purposely made sure that I was separated from my friends before telling me to leave...At this point my phone is completely dead and my friend had completely disappeared ... I had no way of calling them or getting in contact with them... what the security guard did was completely messed up... I don’t care that he wouldn’t let me in the club but he diliberatly separated me from my friends and I had no where to go, it’s 1AM and I was stuck out in the streets of DC with no way to get back to my hotel room... and no way to contact anyone... I’m dressed in a mini dress and heels and absolutely terrified, all of these strange men kept walking up to me... I just sat on the street corner and cried for hours, luckily this nice lady walking by bought me a Uber back to my hotel.... absolutely the worst birthday I’ve ever had
This club is a bad choice. very rude bouncers. never had to be patted down when I went into a club and so I was not aware that you could not have a pen. due to my profession I always have a pen. instead of informing me that I could not have the pen the bouncer ripped the pen out of my hand and threw it into the trash. I was ready to relax and spend a lot of cash, however due to this poor poor customer service this club has lost my business for good. I took my pen back and left.
The concept is cool with the different floors playing different music, but nothing super exciting...a pretty average club overall. Also, I brought in some ibuprofen and they confiscated it...plus coat check was an additional $4 per item.
Got here 15 minutes early and that short line is an hour wait. Line stretches to the end of the block and even around, cant imagine how long the wait is in those cases. Person reviewing dress code is pretty unfriendly.
The worst bar in the world. They say its open bar but the female bartender on the first floor was the most racist human in USA. She refused to provide drinks to me although I was waiting for 20 mins. Then she accused me of giving her attitude although all I wanted was a drink in open bar. The person who had attitude was her as she didnt only refuse a drink to me but also ignored any other Indian at the bar near her. She accepted orders from all other people but refused to serve Indians. She ruined New Years eve and was the worst bartender I have ever met.
The people working here are so unprofessional and pretty on little girls, they kicked me out because i fell over and was pushed (clearly). the cop perry is a terrible security guard. club is awful. never go. ever.
You couldnt ask for a better Party than at this venue. Security is on point at the door keeping all patrons safe. Door staff is very professional as well as the Bartenders are fast and on point with drinks! DJs are the best in the area, I would recommend this venue to anyone looking for an amazing time in DC
One time I drove to this bar and I was having a great time. I got really drunk and had to make it home for an interview the next morning. I thought I was screwed. The bar owner offered to drive me home. Now I work at Amazon. Amazing service would reccommend.
Security sucks. They assumed I was drunk without smelling my breath & wouldn’t let me in until I spoke to a manager. You can imagine how embarrassing that was. The security there really knows how to ruin your night. Wasn’t the first time I had a bad experience with them. Definitely won’t be coming back.
I was there last night with 4 of my friends so we paid $300 to be at the vip with 2 bottles of drink attached to it. One of the waitress collected my debit card. I later ordered for an extra bottle Which was around $128. By the time I got home, I discovered I was charged $507 for the vip and $312 for the extra bottle I ordered with is just ridiculous. Never leave your card with them and pay in CASH!
This is one of my favorite spots in the city. Their Saturday nights are unparalleled in terms of diversity. I dont believe theres another place in DC that can offer four different levels, each with their own crowd and sound. Anyone can come get their musical fix here. Basement: hip hop, main floor: top 40, 2nd level: Latin, and the top level: international. It appeals to anyone and everyone. The staff are always on point, and the drink prices arent outrageous (unlike many other places in DC). Cant wait to go back soon!
Don’t waste your money here. First of all, the music is hit or miss, but when it’s miss it gives high school rAgEr vibes and then second of all one of the bouncers took my taser at the entrance, then when I was leaving and had asked for it back, they said they couldn’t find my taser...then told me to call the bar the morning after to ask about my taser, but when I did, I got sent to voicemail.
My friends and I made a reservation for a table at Ultra for a bachelorette party. We had difficulty getting in (in spite of our reservation) and our waitress was unaware that we had pre-ordered alcohol. The floor in both the VIP and regular areas was absolutely soaked throughout the night, and one member of our party needed x-rays the following day after slipping in a spilled drink. A drunk individual at the next table over vomited all over our table and belongings. The vomit was never cleaned up, and while the vomit-er and her friends were being removed from the bar, the I.D. and credit card used to reserve OUR table was mistakenly given to the party being kicked-out. We were told we were not going to be charged for the evening by our waitress (who was very sweet), but charges have since shown up on the credit card which the staff at Ultra gave to another patron. My experience at Ultra was so bad, I am unlikely to go to ANY club in the future.
The staff was very disrespectful and rude. Mostly only white people go to this club. Not much diversity. Crowd was mostly 18 and 19 years old too young themed for my liking.
UltraBar is a great vibe. Always get my drinks fast and have fun. Never fails. My favorite spot
Music is way too loud, staff is rude and the place is dirty as all hell. Also since this club is 18+ prepare to wait in line to get in for at LEAST 45 minutes. Not going back after having been here about 3 times.
I had an amazing time there, very welcoming, great atmosphere! Love the different types of floors they have and just all around a fun vibe!
Bouncers were extremely rude.
Came here on a trip to D.C., its pretty good for the under 21 crowd, definitely do nottt recommend for those who are 21 and over. Also liked how each floor played different kinds of music, but definitely does not compare to clubs in the tri-state area.
Ive been to ultra bar a few times and I had a really good experience. The past week I went it was horrible. The dj played terrible music, the security guards were so rude pushing and shoving us, and when we asked the dj to play a specific song he told us no. I used to love this place but now Ill have to find a different club to go to when I visit D.C.
Walted in line for 45 minutes to check our IDs only to to be told by management that they would let my wife in free but I had to pay (even though we both had tickets) for entry after saying we would both be free 20 secs earlier. Avoid these scammers and dont waste your time/money.
If you black and thinking to travel just to go to this club dont. i went there. the security was telling me and my friends about a dress code we ask what to where and thay told us so me and my friends went back to change clothes came back to the club it was another guy that told us we cant get in becuase of dress code. he also got angry and told us he dont care what the other security says we cant get in when hes standing there wait tell a black security come then we can go in this place racist never comeing back here again
Security Guard wouldnt let us in and when we asked why he said he was too broke? Then he ignored us and kept yelling next. And it was my birthdayIve never had bad experiences at a club except at Ultra bar. Go to Echostage
Had a blast last week,Music were a bit lame, sound system isnt so great. (Yes....I am a bit spoild...I think I am too used with mega clubs from Vegas like Hakkasan...)But I would still recommend this club cause People therere VERY friendly and the club was very Cozy. also very resonable(Cheap, actually) priced bottle service( compare to any other big cities)My boyfriend and I had a great time. Thank you guys !!
Paid $100s for VIP (as expected) but then were condensed to one table for 12 people due to overbooking and any time we tried to bring guests up to our area they were asked to leave by bouncers due to an overcrowded area... VERY unprofessional and a refusal to work with us or even comp part for the ruining experience and treatment. Unfortunately will not be returning.
TERRIBLE TERRIBLE service... I like to go to clubs with my boys who are of age as I am not but there is not a single night at ANY club that we havent spent at least $3,000 and we always get a table. Although they let me sit at the table with my friends they would constantly come over and smell whatever drinks I got directly from the bar, one time is fair trust me I understand that there cant be underage drinking but if I get a Sprite from the bartender and hold the drink in my hand without putting it down once dont come stick your nose in my drink. On top of that I had to take a duce 15 min after I got into the club and the bathroom aint shyt tbh I do like the attendant in there very nice and respectful but after washing my hands I see a security guy that was up on my level which was the top floor nonchalantly standing near the bathroom, stalker much... Creeped me out, come to find out they were under the impression that I was trying to wash the SHARPIE X on my hand to indicate that Im not 21, well thats whatever a little much but somewhat understandable.Well after the brief bathroom break I return to the table on the top floor and security comes up and accuses me of trying to wash the X off my hands which is ludicrous being that I do not have a red band and I informed the jackass security guard that I will be sure to check back in with him next time I have a bowel movement he got upset threatened to throw me out for being rowdy and I reminded him that my table has $2500 in bottles on the table less than an hour into the night and that I was the DD so if I go they go and he cowered back and continued to be an ass for the rest of the night throwing hand signals to his cronies and stiffing my Sprite they ruined our night we will not be returning sorry ultrabar you lost $12,000 a month at least thanks to your security I will give you this there are a couple guys in the security that are very nice and respectful one sniffed my drink saw it was Sprite on the first floor and he actually apologized and briefly explained better safe than sorry you understand right to which I said I do and he left me alone for the rest of the night.Last but most important WATCH THOSE SNEAKY BOTTLE GIRLS they no doubt make 100k a year stealing from you.The bottle service girls are all fine as hell wearing their corsets but they are sneaky watch them closely along with your bank statements in real time because they seem to think mandatory tipping means that they can charge whatever the hell they want for a tip on a bottle $60 is outrageous but its VIP so okay but thats what she told us the mandatory tip was what she actually charged was $125 for a tip each time we got a new bottle at the table ( glad that I wasnt paying ) overall the nights charges came to about 4 stacks ($4,000 to the white people reading this) that is about $900 in tips and the rest was in grey goose and ciroc.
Incredible ! Ultrabar is super natural. This is prefect for night life to many individuals plan to have fun there and get their groove on. To many people came from all over the world looking to have a perfect fun its the boom there. Brand new series. Welcome to this show everyone, Im the host. Youre here for the best truth and details, Im going to prove to all of you. Ultrabar is one of the top most popular dance clubs in D.C. Its a large place but the inside its an average small place they have. Its a place where everyone must dress on prome dance style not regulare style. When I step inside the entrance door, I was wondering if is a bigger place bigger crowds, and bigger hospitality. I expect its a large and tall place. Is it really? Yeah it is. As I know what most of you folks are thinking its a huge place for a special revolution in this case. Its going to be a biggest calibration ever. Its a club for many adults attend to. Not really. Usually, many young adults there. Between 20s and 30s years of age. Also 18 years folks atend there. As an result, there are more young adults then older adults. Between 40s and 50s years of age. Even parent ones. For real ? Yes. Many of them do like to come there. Are you serious about this ? Yeah 100% . Thats my big report to this mater. No mistakes about it. As a special guest, they have so many people standing in line plus it was too busy to keep it occupied. I was amazed of how crowded it is to get in. How Long dose it takes to get in ? It usually takes 20 minutes. For real? Yeah. In a long line, they can have busy crowds to get a chance to make an entrance most of the time it can be quite painful to wait in line. As I already notice, many of you dont like to wait in line. However people are not allowed to cut in or cheat because the staffs wont let them do that including you and the reader trying to solve the answer. [Notice] if you come earlier before 9:00 pm and no one is around or made it yet, it can save you, your partner, friends, family, and/or your group more time then later. That brings you convenience of time without hassles. Dose it workout ? Yes, it will. Just follow the reasonable hours, get there early before it starts. That way, you and others dont have to worry about being in line while dealing with silly people. Once people go to the front, they give folks the registration bands, they put it on their wrist, and set to go. The paper bracelets are white and green. Thats the color of it. Each contenders must have a State I.D. or Drivers License for that. Without it, they wont give it to people even you. Plus they have to be at least 18 years of age, 20 years, or older to get inside. What? Are you serious? Yes, I am. 100% . If many of you folks are under age, 18, 17, 16, or younger then that, theyre not allowed and authorized to get in. Due the the policies, regulations, restrictions, rules, and the law. If many of you are older them that and above 18, your welcome to be lucky. Is that a true statement ? Yes. To inside the nightclub, everyone has to have two things with them. Which is: the VIP Pass or $20 cash. Yeah, in order to get the VIP Pass, you and everyone else have to go online at Ultrabar website to get one. They must order them by debit or credit card not cash. For real? Yes. If you dont have a pass or on the guest list, its okay just come to the door and use $20 so theyll let you enter. And yes Im very sure about that. [Caution] during the long line, theyre are security guards protecting and patrolling the area and on the corner of the enterance, theyre D.C. Police officers maintain their position for unwanted crime, trouble, confrontation, fighting, violence, illegal activities, or evidence. Really? Yeah, they have to improves their negotiations to remaind everyone to be safe and take responsible choices. They also suggest them to stay away from trouble. When you, people, individuals enter the place, they begin to see the D.J. playing music, dance floor, night lights, and crowds dancing for fun. This guide will help.
***LADIES BEWARE - DONT TAKE DRINKS FROM UNKNOWN GUYS*** My two girlfriends and I went to UltraBar for a New Years Eve party last night. We were having a great time until a couple of guys drugged one of my friends. They bought her a drink (it was only her third drink of the night) and within minutes of drinking it she could barely stand. Before we realized what was going on they were groping her (= sexual assault) on the dance floor. All of a sudden they left, and we quickly figured out what had happened. Her pupils were huge, so Im guessing it was a drug cocktail rather than straight roofies. The two guys who drugged her were tall, white and in their early twenties. They said they were in the military. She was so messed up that we had to leave immediately (it was only 11pm). In the bars defense, they took it pretty seriously. I told the bouncers what had happened and they sent a cop upstairs with me to point out the guys. He said he couldnt do anything since we hadnt seen the drugs, but that he would keep an eye on the two guys. I hope they end up in jail and get to learn more about sexual assaut firsthand.
The manager double charged us just to get in the club since we were under 21 and our friends we were with were 21 and up. I overheard one of the bouncers say to the manager I like what you did there. This club is trash and the management isnt worth a damm penny.
Worst place ever !!! Horrible security , hardly any space to move around overpriced! Wouldn’t recommend this club at ALL ! A Security threatened to “take me outside” when I was trying to step to the side and catch a breath ….
SECURITY RUINED MY BIRTHDAY. MAKING STANK FACES AT MY ID, WHEN I TOLD HIM JUST SAY HAPPY BIRTHDAY ! He told me get out of line !!!!! DONT GO !!
Left my card and I.D. there when I went for my boyfriends birthday Saturday. Looking at the web sight they give a phone number and hours to call if that happens. So far I have not been able to get in touch with the establishment what so ever. I’m very displeased and probably will never be going back due to their horrible customer service.
My times there, it was a bit crowded but I had a blast multiple levels of all good djs i went there my first time clubbing and I loved it. The crowd is attractive and the entrance fee is not bad. Good parking options overall very good.
Ultrabar is so lit 🙏🏽 they have the best partys there and the crowed is so cheering and gets you in a great mood! The Bar has everything you wanna drink and the bottle girls are the bomb - especially Linda! The name says it :) the staff is great ! The bartender Jonas is super talented and his drinks taste awesome! Also Sheldon is my fav 🙏🏽 super nice fam! Worth it going out !
Be sure to look at your receipt!! People in there will lie to you about all kinds of expense. Double check you receipt! Our group was charge extra $600 dollars and when we found out they refuse to refund but saying they will reserve us a bottle of wine for 2 weeks....600 for a bottle of wine and only available for 2 weeks?!
The staff kills the vibe and its hard to keep the groups litness up. Poor service and the attitude towards their customers is a let down. My friends were fun, thats why the club gets two stars.
Stand in line if youre in for Racial profiling at its best seen in public.. was asked to pay even with the pass.. while others where allowed with the same. Never again..
Literally do not come to this place, my friends & I drove hours to come to enjoy this place because I heard good things about but when I got there the bouncer denied us. I was so livid with their service & I will never step back in that place. For anyone thats looking for a place to club at in DC I strongly recommend NOT to come here. Super rude & unprofessional I could not believe they are still running that business.
Best Parties in DC HANDS DOWN. The security, management, staff and bartenders are top quality. Drinks always on point and DJs are always throwing down!! Would give it 10 stars if I could
Great spot. I just wish the DJ could learn to let great songs play for more than 10 seconds before mixing out of them. People want to hear the songs.
Security needs to act more professional. Was difficult to walk around, very crowded, no open space. Staff was very rude too!! Wont be going back, definitely too much testosterone with the Security personnel.
Too many young people , small place in each floor, people were not just drunk but on other stuff too, and too many fights broke out. Had all the troops of DC showing up. And I spent $20 for nothing. Also drinks too expensive. Never again
Worse experience ever. Was dirty!!! Bouncers let everyone in without checking id. The health department should shut this place down.
TERRIBLE! my friend was assulted by security just because she sat down and was trying to fix her shoe. She was touched by two grown men and has bruises on her arms. When asked to speak to the manager, he was rude and disrespectful and did not offer any help with the situation.
Went here on ladies night, paid 20$ to get in and 5$ on a drink but overall I came to dance. It gets hot so its best to keep walking and stay hydrated.
Nice bar however CRAZY expensive. Be sure to go to their website to show the free admission tickets because they will absolutely change you to get in if you dont. $30 for under 21 and $20 for 21 and up.
