Had an amazing couples’ massage here! I got a prenatal massage, and my husband had their signature massage. Shoutout to Iris and Addison - they were both so nice and friendly and skilled. I really enjoyed my massage with Iris, she applied the right amount of pressure and the strokes were amazing! She was also very careful about draping and positioning me and making sure I was comfortable. My husband said his massage with Addison was one of the best he’s ever had. He actually fell asleep twice during the massage haha. Thanks for a great experience!

My hairdresser recommended Danny at Unwind Wellness. He was good. $170 for 90 minutes that you pay for ahead of time. There are stairs in this old house converted to a spa. You can add tip on your card or in a tiny envelope. Danny managed to get deep into my muscles including my glutes. The massage tables have heating pads and there is music playing for those who prefer to fall asleep during their massage. #massage #massagetherapy #painrelief #backache

I got lucky and found a masseuse in Adam’s Morgan location who is not only incredibly professional and loves her job, but who also understood quickly the specifics of my body and made me fly after 90 minutes session. Very clean, quite, relaxing. Definitely recommended.

I had one of the best massages of my life with Heajin! She asked me ahead of time about places Id want to pay attention to or be cautious of and listened to each and every comment. I mentioned some shin pain and it was gone by the time I left the massage table! Ive gotten a few other massages with different masseuses here before and theyve all been great but Ill be returning to Heajin for sure.Unwind might lack some of frills of other places but if you want a damn good massage at a fair price, I cant recommend here enough

Unwind offered a relaxing experience for me. I definitely recommend. Sarah did an amazing job and REALLY worked on all the knots. She cared so much and was so attentive, friendly, and funny. She made my experience super great. I see in other reviews that there is music and heated tables, but I didn’t have either of these.

The best massage, hands down (4 hands to be exact) that I have ever had, and worth every penny. Sarah and Belinda are outstanding massage therapists and they take their craft very seriously and were in tune and attentive throughout the entire 90-minutes. A great place to get a massage in DC. I had a small snafu here, and the owner honestly went so above and beyond to make it right that it blew me away. I haven’t seen customer service like that in a while. The massage itself was fantastic too. I’ll definitely be back!

My first, but definitely not my last massage at Unwind Wellness. The receptionist, Mariana was extremely helpful with booking, confirming and making sure my massage went well, which it did! I did a couples massage with my fiancé. Helen and Heajin were beyond incredible. We did the aromatherapy massage, which was relaxing and rejuvenating. With so many massage parlors in the DC area, I highly recommend Unwind Wellness in Adams Morgan. From the moment you walk in, Mariana is there to greet you with a warm and genuine smile to add more pleasure to your experience.

My usual spot was booked for the weekend and I wanted a massage for my birthday so I chose here and Im so glad I did. My massage was amazing! I was seen right on time and the ambiance was just right. The music made me feel peaceful as well. I would definitely come back. I had the signature massage and Belinda was my therapist.

Great massages every time Ive been here, most recently from Sarah who did such a relaxing foot massage. The desk staff are also really helpful, making sure to give me receipts in a format that works for my insurance.

My 90-minute massage was divine! Easy and kind check-in, clean room with great ambiance. And Mary is a WONDERFUL masseuse - she is very thorough and found all my knots. I left feeling like I was walking on air!

I have been here several times and always gotten excellent Signature massages! It’s worth the price for the quality of the massage, the experience and the facility. I’ve paid more for worse massages at other places so am happy to have found this place in DC. My whole family comes here too now, off my recommendation and they always remember us all. Their online booking is easy, they communicate quickly via Facebook messenger in response to questions, and everyone is very friendly at this location.

Been coming here for years. I’m always well taken care of at Unwind Wellness, and this time was no different. Usually I get deep tissue massages, but this time I decided to try something new and opted for a Thai massage. Sarah did not disappoint! She checked in with me every step of the way and made me feel comfortable even as she was pulling and stretching and digging her elbows into all my knots and tight muscles. She folded me up like a pretzel, and coaxed all the knots right out of me! Made me melt like butter as I felt those tight spots dissolving under her expertly done reflexology. They do so many things well: booking is easy, the front desk attendants are cheerful and helpful, the owner is kind and attentive, all of the tables are heated, the rooms are quiet, there is always soothing music playing during your service, and the masseuses really care.If you’re looking for a stronger massage with particular attention to sore areas on the body, I highly recommend Yalen, Iris or Dominic.

Ive been going to Unwind Wellness for years and have seen multiple masseuses and they have all been fantastic: Iris, Max, Liliya, Mary, Dima, Mary, Power. I always opt for the Unwind Signature Massage.I recently booked a same-day appointment with Sam for the first time for my tech neck. My neck and shoulders were aching for days and causing headaches, and Sam really focused in on that for me and strongly worked everything out. I feel great!

I got there late and frazzled and Sarah quickly picked up on my energy and was so understanding and lovely. She then proceeded to give me one of the best massages I’ve ever had - a combo of relaxation and working on some problem spots that was exactly what my body needed. I am so grateful and will be back to see her again very soon!

I booked a prenatal massage with Armando and it was truly among the best massages I’ve ever had — prenatal or not. He was great, and obviously trained in dealing with areas that give pregnant people the most discomfort. I was recently turned away from another massage place while traveling because they followed the myth that it will put you into labor which is patently false. So glad I tried this place, and will definitely be going back. It’s not a super fancy spa environment if that’s what you’re looking for, but with a massage that good, who cares!

Gina took my knotted, stiff shoulders and made them feel like butter in 30 minutes. The front desk is so accommodating and fun. Plus, I love the ability to book a snack sized appointment of a half hour, too. Just what I needed.

Sarah has a different technique than Im used to, she holds pressure on knots to get them to loosen. I honestly feel like Ive melted, it was amazing. 10/10, will absolutely come back and visit Sarah again

I had a deep tissue massage with Luiz and it was truly one of the best massages I’ve ever had. He combined some aspects on deep tissue and some sports massage and I left feeling so much better. The whole experience was great and I can’t recommend Luiz and unwind enough!

I’ve been here on two occasions. The first was a couples massage which was great and then just a standard 60 min massage. The 60 min massage was horrible. Out of no where the masseuse started trying to push all her weight onto my spine to crack my back (painful for a number of reasons). Back cracking can be dangerous if not done by a trained professional and I shouldn’t have to preface a massage with “please don’t try to adjust me like a chiropractor in an incredibly unsafe way”. I won’t come here again even though not all experiences were like that.

Ramon was incredible. I came in with upper back, neck, and jaw tension. He went to work as soon as I was on the table, and he maintained thorough pressure, technique, and stretching. Perhaps this was the best massage I have had for my TMJ and muscle tension. He is a hard worker, and we need more massage therapists like Ramon!

My experience at Unwind Wellness Center - Adams Morgan was superb. The staff was very friendly, and as a customer, I appreciated the Covid safety protocols they had in place. My masseuse Daniel was able to get rid of all of the knots I had in my back and shoulder. He was incredibly attentive, ensuring that I was comfortable with the amount of pressure throughout the massage. One of the best massages Ive gotten in DC. I highly recommend him.

I moved to the Adams Morgan area in September of 2020. Since then, I have become a loyal patron of Unwind Wellness, getting a massage a couple times a month. Often I will wake up sore or stressed, call the studio in bed and they will be able to see me day of, that evening. The rooms, beds and music are soothing. The therapists are consistently expert and professional. Getting a massage is expensive, but I never regret spending the money. Im telling you, these services are worth it!! After my appointments, I float home feeling rejuvenated.

Best massage I had in DC! Liliya relieved me of any tension while still being gentle enough that I could enjoy the massage, and she gave me tips on how to keep my body away from stress and relaxed. All the good reviews I read, especially about Max, were true. The treatment rooms are not where you check in. I booked Max by chance and was very appreciative of how strong his hands are because thats the type of massage I need. I dont know how someone would do with him if they need a light touch. I needed the neck and back relief, and he was able to provide that.

It was clean, professional, and affordable.My first experience as Unwind was not a great one. However, once the owner heard about it, he found me a better massage therapist who was better suited to my needs. I didnt even realize how much tension I was holding until she started working my muscles. Worth a visit!

I am giving this place a one star because it will not let me give a 0. This place was horrible and a waste of money and time. It was dirty, extremely tiny and looked suspect. I could not believe my eyes when I walked in. There is definitely no ambiance, so please dont come here if that is important to you. The couches and rug was dirty. The receptionist was very rude. She got an attitude and told me I could just cancel my appointment if I didnt want to be there. Two people cannot even fit down their tiny hallway at a time. They bathroom was nasty. My massage room was very old and looked like something out of the Adams Family. It was creepy and old and I was uncomfortable laying on the table. My massage was not good at all and I felt pain afterwards. I definitely do not recommend this place. I was more stressed and tense when I left then when I got there.

I had the good fortune to book a massage here with Iris when I was in town for business and tweaked my neck. Some massages are good, but this massage was therapeutic. She helped relieve my pain in a way that no massage had ever done for me. Cannot recommend her enough.

I got a massage with Iris & she was a miracle worker!! My back & neck were so tight I couldnt fully turn my head to the left without pain. After my massage I was able to fully turn my head to the left with only minimal pain past a certain point. HUGE improvement. I also loved that she would walk me through why she was doing certain things. Will most definitely be coming back!!

I walked away feeling lighter and taller, and with notes about what areas to strengthen and stretch. A massage with Dominic was just what I needed to start the new year. I highly recommend booking with Dominic if you have specific areas of pain or discomfort in your body that you’re looking to treat with massage therapy.

I booked a 90 minute deep tissue massage with Max and it was brutal in a great way. Lots of attention to tense muscles and he is relentless with getting those tough to reach knots in your back. The business front was clean, safe and well maintained! I would definitely go back! Even their parting gift of water and a mini bottle of hand sanitizer was thoughtful and totally appreciated!

Unwind Wellness the most professional, well-run, and well-priced spas/massage studios I have ever visited. It was very easy to book online. When I called, they picked up away. The service was very friendly, did not have to wait, and the rooms are well appointed. The location is fantastic if you want to grab a bite to eat or a drink right across the street at Jack Rose or the other restaurants, before or after your massage. Highly recommend.

I have had multiple massages and this has by far been the best! My husband and I did a couples massage while visiting DC and we both left feeling totally relaxed and loosened up. With all the walking you have to do on DC, the whole body massage is greatly beneficial. They were also able to target my trouble spots in my upper back and shoulders and also worked out areas of tightness I didnt even know I had. I would highly recommend this place and I feel that it is worth the price.

I have been here twice so far with great experiences each time. I got a couples massage with my husband the first time and then a solo Swedish massage. The atmosphere is great and the masseuses very professional. The second massage all but cured the pain I had from a recent low back muscle strain. Would recommend without hesitation!

I had the most amazing massage from Natalia today. This was my first time at Unwind and they did not disappoint. I had an incredible amount of tension in my muscles. Natalia used multiple techniques and the perfect amount of deep pressure required to loosen my tight muscles. I will definitely be back.

I had a lovely birthday massage with Regina. She was truly caring and insightful to an issue I’ve been having with insomnia. I met the owner as well, and he was so pleasant and accommodating. He found out it was my birthday and he went and got me cupcakes! Loved all of it. Will be back very soon.

The best deep tissue massage I have ever received!!! Tamara is an amazing specialist who is so calm and sweet while making sure the pressure is where you need it to be. Food was absolutely delicious! Nice portions of food. Went on a Sunday and had to wait about 30 mins to get in but it was worth it. There was live singing which added joy to the experience.

Unwind gives clients outstanding massage and acupuncture services in a very relaxing, high-end setting. The massage therapists are experienced professionals [Ive been going to the owner for nearly fourteen years] and the surroundings are genuinely elegant! Staff is attentive and responsive, while providing lots of little extras that improve the experience. I can recommend both the deep tissue and Swedish massages -- excellent for both relaxation and sports-related strains. Ive also added acupuncture shoulder work to sessions, and recommend that highly, as well. Within easy walking distance if youre in the Adams Morgan/Dupont/U Street areas. I dont know of any better massage/acupuncture providers in northwest DC!

I had a couple massage with a friend. My friend was satisfied but I wasnt. The guy who gave the massage used very strange techniques and also putted his fingers in my ears! I am sure this and the other things were not a proper way to give a massage. Disgusting! Would definately not reccommend this place.

Daniel was an exceptional masseuse. He was very effective at taking information I gave him from my physical therapist and implementing a massage that targeted the exact spots that needed work. He also identified new problem areas and worked on those too. I was very impressed by Daniel!Additionally, the covid-19 protocols in place and cleanliness level made me feel super comfortable and not at all worried about being there.

This place is great. I initially chose them because of the Google reviews and they have not failed. I am a creature of habit so when its good, I latch on and stay there (metaphorically speaking). I say that to say Aiden and Milos are freaking AWESOME with deep tissue and I continue to come back. I have an appointment with a different therapist today, and Im sure he will not fail me either!

My significant other and I booked a couples’ massage, and encountered what was a very understandable booking error on Unwind’s end. I can’t say enough how they navigated the issue with immense efficiency, empathy, and top-notch customer service. They immediately set us up with a couples’ massage at their other location, and even paid for the Uber to their other location, and FROM their other location to get us to our dinner plans! They were very apologetic and clearly took the error personally. They care about their customers. Oh, and the massages were A-1. My shoulders feel so much better! Thank you, Unwind!

Wow. Michelle helped my achilles tendonitis and lower back pain in just a one hour massage. Amazing. Highly recommend. And, i got a same-day appointment when my tendon was acting up after a long hike.

I have had several therapists there, including Guacira, Paulo, Georgi (that works in GT location), Danielle and Max. They were all amazing, all of them have different styles and thecniques. I love Guacira because she does reflexology as well and knew exactly where I need the most work. Paulo was very strong when I needed to release the pain I had in my back. Danielle is just out of this world, she has a light of its own and makes you feel so relaxed and in peace, I normally go with her when I’m having a very stressful day, she knows how to take all of that from my body, she is amazing with essential oils as well. Georgi is strong and specialist in finding those knots you need Desperately to get rid of. They have a lot of promotions and discounts, I did a couples massage with my sister in GT Sunday and I got 20$ off. Make sure to check their website and their services, you won’t regret.

I will give 2 stars, one for the cleanliness and one for the amazing masseuse .We were given a group appt for my bridal shower and I, and we went to the wrong location. we were there before opening and once it opened we discovered that we were booked for another location. The receptionist was super sweet and said it was 10min away and that she would call the other location. When we got there we continuously apologized for the confusion and the male receptionist was v very dismissive and said only 3 could be seen, as we filled out the forms he then said no only 2, because they had more clients at 11. WE WERE A PARTY OF 8 and he was very dismissive with any type of accommodation and all my girls werent able to get pampered with me before my wedding day. I didnt feel that the customer service was there, even when i asked if the other receptionist had called him and he said yes she did, BUT NO i cant reschedule. i WAS SO UPSET and on top of that they said only 30min. it was truly disappointing and not how i envisioned my bachelorette.I will not be going here again, although the masseuse was great.

I have gone here several times for massages, specifically couples massages with my husband and a pre-natal massage for myself. My experiences were all lovely, and incredibly comfortable/relaxing experiences. I highly recommend!

I had a wonderful experience at Unwind. A friend of mine treated me to a combination massage with Sladjan, and it was amazing. Sladjan did a great job of calming my muscles and providing an incredibly relaxing atmosphere. Throughout the massage, he made sure the pressure was appropriate. Do yourself a favor and get a massage here.

Dont waste your money.Unwind Pricing: $170 for the first acupuncture appointment with $90 per follow up session.Transformational Acupuncture Pricing: $75 for the first appointment with $55 per follow up session.Bottom Line: You can get almost 3 appointments at Transformational Acupuncture for the price of the first appointment at Unwind. Dont waste your money. Also, Transformational Acupuncture is in-network for Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Cigna.While I was not unhappy with the service while at my appointment, I was disappointed by their handling of the pricing discrepancy. I wanted to see if they would allow me to get my second appointment free since I could get almost 3 appointments at Transformational Acupuncture for the price of the initial consultation appointment at Unwind.They would understandably not allow this. The problem was they wouldnt event match the price going forward ($55 per session as opposed to $90) because their acupuncturist is a contractor.

Went here recently after a friend bought me a gift card, the location is no frills and pretty tight but the massage was incredible and for me thats all that matters. Pro tip, its the building with red brick and light blue window frames :)

I had such a beautiful experience here. My 90 minute massage was so serene and exactly what I needed considering my occupation. My body needs alotn of extra TLC as a waxer. I am on a tilt all day to give the best waxes possible(best in the city btw!)and I needed my BONES RUBBED😁. The CBD massage made me feel like jello and Ill certainly be back next month for maintenance.

Ive been here twice, and both times it was pretty much life-changing. All those stress-formed knots in my back simply vanished, and the atmosphere (even though its along a busy street) was quiet and relaxing. Its a must-visit for me any time Im in DC.

Unwind is by far and away the best massage place in DC. The ladies at the front desk are the always the nicest. The massage therapists are some of the best in the business. Ive been to a ton of massage places over the years and typically it is a crapshoot. Unwind is a guarenteed pleasant experience.
