This past Saturday evening, July 13, is my second recent visit with food, which has improved with the new chef. The restaurant had gone down hill for a while after the departure of the previous chef and subsequent hiring of a fry chef. Currently with the recent hiring of a new manager and new chef things have greatly improved. I did not really go to eat because I had decided to eat somewhere else where I knew the food would be acceptable. However after sitting at the bar, decided to order an appetizer as well, shrimp tempura, although it is called something else at the restaurant, which was nicely presented and very good. This is a beautiful restaurant and bar with an exceptionally lovely deck directly adjacent to the restaurant overlooking the mountains and one of our pools and tiki bar where food and drinks are served as part of the restaurant. They are open Thursday-Sunday, and from Thursday through Saturdays now open until 11:00 P.M. There is frequently scheduled entertainment, and the public is invited with reservations.
Visiting my cousin who lives in Saw Creek for the week and she took me here for dinner and drinks on my last night. Had the ribs and drinks. Food was delicious. Drinks were great. Service was friendly and quick. Highly recommended.
Service was terrible. We waited over 30 minutes for our drinks and over an hour for our appetizers and meals. One appetizer arrived with our meals and was not hot. A meal was missing so we cancelled it. My salad was not what I ordered and my husband asked for onion rings instead of fries and they had fries on his plate but charged him the $2 up charge for onion rings which after he pointed it out they removed from the bill. Was very disappointed in a 2 hour dinner!
We were there twice on our vacation the first time was it absolutely excellent experience, the second time was on a Sunday night when they close at 7:00. We did not get there for our reservation until 6:15 but we were prompt. The waitress that we had was absolutely rude and just mean-hearted. Someone in my party asked could you please close that one blind thats shining right in my eyes and the waitresses reply was when I get to it. She stomped around like she hated her job. I wished I remembered her name I would post it on this feed. That woman deserves to be fired she walked around with a frown on her face mumbling the whole time that we were there. I can guarantee you Ill never be back there again. And that waitress should be terminated she ruined the perfectly good last night of our vacation
Service was great! Came in and sat at the bar. Service was quick and Jeanise our bartender was knowledgeable about the food options and provided some great conversation! Would come again!
First time at Top of The World, our dinner was delicious and service fantastic. I was glad they posted a sign out front expressing staffing shortages, asking patrons to be patient. It was well worth the wait. Ill admit my Sister, Niece and I had selected our deserts even before we ate our meal. The drinks served were delicious and a great accompaniment to our meals. Next time were visiting friends nearby, we will be dining at Top of The World. Hopefully itll be al fresco on the deck with amazing views. Please be kind, patient and GENEROUS with tips.Restaurant employees have NO CONTROL over price increases. Its tough, shortages and difficulty transporting items in the U.S. is causing the cost of goods to go up and some of that is reflected in menu prices for the consumer.
Look, it consistently gets a bad rep from HOA members and no question this restaurant should be self-sustaining at this point. But its solid pub grub. Imagine any bar food from just about anywhere and then imagine its just a tiny bit better and thats what youll get out of this place.
Wow! I was very happy with the sunset view behind the mountains. But, after getting the room temperature water, it went all downhill from there. Went on a Monday at 6:15 pm. The restaurant was half full.An hour after placing our order, they told half our party, what we ordered ran out. We then ordered burgers, so the rest of our party wouldnt wait. Ha, were we wrong.Over two hours after placing our order, still no food.We were not the only ones that left. At least, we paid for the drinks and apps. Others just left, placing an emotional toll on our waitress . She most likely needed to pay for those meals. She was holding back tears. We felt bad she was working in a place that was very poorly managed with a chef that either doesnt know how to run a kitchen or just doesnt give an f.
Outdoor dining on the deck wasnt available due to short staff, but the view inside was probably just as good. Food was delicious and the staff were very friendly, even offering to dance with my son. We were too early for sunset, but Im sure the view is beautiful. Had a great Fathers Day dinner here. Had the Arancini and t-bone, wife and the chicken parm. We were both satisfied.
Our server, Ariel was fabulous. So friendly and fun. If we lived closer we would be here every week. 💕 Avis Hammond.
I had booked this special dinner for my girlfriend and I anniversary. Before the waitress even took our order, my girlfriend made it very clear that she is severely allergic to all nuts, all shellfish, and all sesame. At first, the waitress was very accommodating and had made it clear that she had communicated my girlfriend‘s allergies to the kitchen and that there should be no cross-contamination. had ordered an appetizer a salad that they had made modifications to where there would be no nuts and no sesame in the dressing or as toppings to the salad. My girlfriend does not particularly eat meat, and the menu was very limited to what she could eat. She had ordered a Bolognese to which, when it came to the table, the waitress had specified that she double checked with the kitchen and confirmed that there were no nuts/allergens. One bite into the pasta, and my girlfriend had already felt an allergic reaction coming on. she had rushed to the bathroom. The manager had come to the table and explained to me that they confirmed that there was indeed nuts in the pasta. the paramedics from the hotel came however it took a long time for her to be transported from the hotel to the EMT ambulance. my girlfriend was rushed to the nearest hospital for a severe anaphylactic reaction where we had stayed in the hospital for six hours plus, and unfortunately, we had to catch a flight the day of. Since then, my girlfriend has tried to contact the hotel along with the restaurant and no one has responded. we are looking forward to a response soon to settle this ordeal. We are very disappointed that this had happened, especially since, prior to booking this reservation, I had made it very clear that this was an anniversary dinner. since the hotel is a very well-known hotel in Las Vegas it is expected that allergies, such as my girlfriend’s, should be addressed thoroughly. this was my girlfriend’s first time in Vegas and thus, it has negatively affected her overall experience.
Came here for mothers day brunch & Even though it was a little cold on the inside, BEST CHICKEN AND WAFFLES Ive ever had so im definitely NOT complaining lolz. Will definitely come back just for them. Staff are wonderful and definitely deserve a raise! A child near us said hi to my baby (who currently is non verbal and on the autism spectrum) and got happily excited when my baby smiled back and was happy, but her mom got mad at her for whatever reason almost causing the child to melt down but their server came over and calmed the child down very sweetly and calmly and so all was well. Very wonderful to witness staff in a restaurant care so much about children.
So I want to start off by saying that the food was great, and the staff themselves are great. Its a really nice place as well, but the wait times are crazy. I dont have a issue with the staff or the environment, because I can tell the staff are trying there best. But its clear to me that this place is understaffed, they likely need one or two more cooks and a few more servers. Top of the World is likely only still in business because of its location. It has capitalized a market by being the only restaurant in a reasonable distance. If it were not for that, people wouldnt put up with the wait times. I cant imagine how exhausted the staff are, management needs to support their staff. Great food though.
We enjoyed our meals and the staff was friendly. The bartender engaged us in friendly conversation and made recommendations on what to order. I will be sure to come back on my next visit to PA.
The experience here was amazing!! The host was very welcoming as well as the bartender! From walking in to leaving, we got nothing but warm smiles!
The food here was amazing!!Staff, service & atmosphere was outstanding. We had a great time & everything was perfect. Thank you for the friendly hospitality. I would definitely recommend
Love going to Top of the World for lunch and dinner. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is so much fun especially on karaoke nights! 🎤🍔
The people and the dishes were great. My friends and family come and we enjoy it. The shuffleboard was a great addition. So much fun😊
It took an hour to get our food. I ordered the chicken piccata, which tasted good but my meal was missing the spinach and my salad, which took additional 30 minutes to receive. I would have gave zero stars but the half of my meal that I did receive was delicious. All in all I believe the servers and cooks need a lot of improvement.I really hope TOW restaurant fixes some issues in their restaurant because I believe it has potential to be a great restaurant but as of now it needs a lot of improvement.
They should really inform diners that choose to eat outside there is a large bee presence.
Food wasnt anything special and the ribs were extremely salty BUT the country line dancing instructor was amazing and our group had a lot of fun dancing
Had dinner on Christmas Eve and the food was wonderful. A few little issues with service, appetizers came out with the entree, but the chef was circulating through the dining room frequently and made correction with no difficulty. We always enjoy our visits to the restaurant and often bring our guests. Happy holidays to the staff there
Sat at the bar @5:30pm. Got told to leave @6:45 because “it’s Karaoke night” and we didn’t have a reservation at the bar. 5 paying adults drinking and eating the crappie bar food were asked to leave. We never heard of a reservation at the bar. Next time take the drive out of the compound for a nice dinner and drinks evening.
We have been there a couple of times now, hoping it was just a fluke that the food was not that good. Raw, unpeeled eggplant in the parmesan with a very bland sauce on it. Lobster mac and cheese was ok but would have been better if it was hot. As mentioned in other reviews, the wait time is ridiculous as the restaurant was pretty empty the couple of times we went. So, we tried again, thinking we will just get burgers. Medium burgers were burnt. This is the last time we will be giving it a try. Instead of the chef trying to get fancy, he needs to get back to basics and work on the flavor and consistency of the food. Nice atmosphere and ok bartending. Will not go back without some sort of change.
I’ve been wanting to try it here for quite some time. I was not blown away with the food, but the service was top notch. Kristi was my server and she was attentive and friendly. I’m sure there must be some tasty things on the menu but for me the pierogis and the chicken sandwich were just not it.
Tried the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich and it was delicious, and the fries were pretty good too.
Don’t go, this place is a glorified snack shack that happens to be in a nice building, hence the basket with some very fancy red and white checkered parchment paper. I got the pulled pork wrap, came with probably a tablespoon of barbecue sauce and another tablespoon of coleslaw, the rest being bland, greasy pork. Ordered two things of onion rings, didn’t receive, a grill cheese, didn’t receive, glad we totally didn’t want to eat our tomato soup with the grill cheese! Because they came out 15 minutes apart. When the onion rings did come biting into them gave you some underwhelming, soft, dough with some onion in the middle. Asked for ranch, got one cup, 3/4 full, for a table of 6. Food took so long to come that at that point nothing will pick up your mood. Your water comes in a glass pitcher with plastic cups, you pour it yourself, and never get a refill of the pitchers, so make sure not to enjoy your water too much! Ordered soda and got a can and an empty cup, guess they couldn’t spare the time to pour the soda in for you because you know, they are busy making mediocre food that takes entirely too long. Also the “smash burgers”, so glad they are inch thick frozen burger patties! Very smash burger like. You got to enjoy all this in a rolling office chair. Truly an experience to hate.
Atmosphere was nice. The food was terrible. The menu looked good but the quality and the way the food was made was disgusting. The chicken sandwich had a huge brioche buns with a chicken tender down the middle. We couldn’t stop laughing with the kids. The smash burger was cooked down to a crisp along with the cheese that wasn’t recognizable. Our appetizer dishes were brought to us really dirty, so we didn’t even use them. Our waitress was really nice but would never go back.
I came to lunch with my family of 10 and we had an amazing time. Beautiful view with great food and outstanding service! Will be back for sure!!! They had gluten free buns also which was appreciated
Totally thought we were on an episode of Bar Rescue. You couldnt have scripted a worse experience. We arrived at 6:15.Ordered drinks and appetizers. The wings were good but after an hour we were told that they didnt have the rack of ribs or anything else from the smoker that we had ordered. She let us know, apparently there were specials she was not aware of.We then ordered 2 cheese burgers and told our waitress to bring out the other dinners so the other people didnt have to wait. Fast-forward another hour....still no dinners. When asked to speak to a manager, ANY manager, the waitress said She is not here.Waited 2.5 hours on 2 burgers, a salad, and salmon. We paid for the apps and the drinks we DID receive. We learned a number of other tables left unhappy and did not pay for their meals. The sunset view is the ONLY thing they had going for them.
Ordered grilled chicken wrap with avocado and received chopped chicken from the can without the avocado. The waitress brought in her children. Which is not a problem, but they were running around. Beautiful view of the outdoors and the pool
I love the place..friendly workers and the bar tender are very sweet..thank you..
Worst restaurant I ever eaten in my life! Waited 30mins for some microwave food! Fries was dry, chicken was super salty, mash potatoes is watery! Worst of all, there was a tiny piece dish sponge scrape in my coffee!!! Makes me want to throw up afterward! Nothing we ordered was right! Any instant food you get in the supermarket taste better than what they serve! Andddd it’s pricy and portion is small (even though u wouldn’t want to eat the food anyway after trying it). Don’t go!
What’s not to love. Fantastic views of saw creek and a friendly staff. They have fun seasonal cocktails a decent beer list and daily specials. The food is standard bar food for the most part so you can’t go wrong.
I had Top of the World expectations, but unfortunately, my wife and I did not have anything close to that. Reservations were messed up, so we sat at a security gate for 20 minutes, where we also told that members have 1st rights to eat there. Once that was resolved because after all, we did have a reservation. After being seated, we ordered spinach artichoke dip, which came out runny with stale chips, and when I said something about it, the waiter looked at me like I had two heads and said OK. Then, he proceeded to the table next to us, took their order, and left. About 30 minutes pass after the other tables appetizer appear we finally get to order. Meanwhile, the table that came in after us received their food and were finishing up when we finally received our food, and they paid and left. Approximately 40mins after that we were able to and leave. View was great sadly service and food werent a Top of the World experience.
My family and I threw a birthday party in the Creek Room offered thru the Top of the World Restaurant. Everything was amazing! The chef created a menu for our dinner to go along with the theme of our party - the entire menu from appetizers to dessert was fresh and delicious! Every single one of our guests expressed how great the food tasted! The staff were extremely attentive to all of our guests from start to finish - which I know can be hard when so short staffed! Anything i asked for or about was taken care of quickly. Thanks to the wait staff and kitchen crew at the Top!! We had a great time at our party with delicious food and exceptional service!!
Food is great, atmosphere is amazing! Outside fire pit in the summer. A bit pricey, although the bar and view of the mountains make it worth it!
If you dont feel like cooking and you are in the Pocono area this is place is doable. It isnt amazing, but it has a beautiful view the staff is lovely and the food is okay. Indoor and outdoor dining are an option . The French onion soup wasnt good at all.
Food is decent unless you bar or pub food then it’s not even mediocre you could do better frozen at that point.Has potential with the specials however the staff is terrible. Get new staff and put some pride and this place would be back to ole glory days…..
Only reason why I’m giving this restaurant 2 stars is because the food was good. However, we were seated almost an hour after arriving and was skipped by a party with the same number of people. Our orders came out at different times and a party of 6 that was seated next to my party of 7 got there food before us. What made it worst was the fact that they got seated 30 mins after us. The overall experience was not pleasant. The waitress understand this and was very apologetic, nonetheless it was the best welcoming to our first time at the restaurant. Enter at your own risk.
Unfortunately as usual this place Lacks the help they probably need back in the kitchen food does take a long time to come out even when the place is not packed I ordered a cheese steak it was a cut up small piece of steak with cheese you could not even find Im from New Jersey cheesesteaks need to be shaved beef with lots of gooey cheese on top that fills the bun this was not even close although it did taste delicious I will definitely go back because its walking distance from the house beer is always cold bartenders and Waiters are always great people maybe charge more and give more on the plate I will say that the clams were excellent
The hostess and young blonde waitress were extremely unwelcoming and rude. Found a short, thin black hair in my ceasar salad. Also, just a heads up, the boneless wings are chicken nuggets lol Food was good but will not be coming back here ever again.
Located inside Sawkill estates, you need to call ahead and have the restaurant put your name on the list at the gate.Good atmosphere, the food was good and the service was great. We got nachos and shared a bbq bacon burger. Nachos were ok, just run of the mill. The burger was good and they cooked it medium rare like we ordered and it was fresh, not a frozen patty. They have outdoor seating in the summer time.
It needs to be more noticable that you have no choice but to make reservations and that it is in a gated community where you also have to give your drivers license. If the food and service were better I might not have been so frustrated with the experience.
Went on a Saturday night, had reservations. It seemed to be a busy night. We waited 25 mins for waiter to come say hi, then after ordering food we waited 60 mins.Food was good, no complaints about that. It’s a restaurant in a gated community, you’re kind of a captive audience cause you ain’t getting up and going anywhere else close.
Managers should never, EVER, be rude or reprimand their staff in the front of the house. Probably the 4th or 5th atmospheric change Ive experienced at the TOP, so Im optimistic, there will be another.
My family has been member of this community for 40 years. This testy has always had different chefs over the years. This chef is one of the better ones and the food was really good. The Bloody Marys are great and the service was very good. I highly recommend going here and if you have not tried the restaurant in a while…now is the time!
The restaurant was short staffed tonight. However our waitress was hustling and was on point for being all alone. Food was also tasty. The man who was bussing the tables was such a team player helping the waitress. Just remain calm, patient and understanding and this restaurant was a great time. My party of 7 was very satisfied. Thank you for having us.
This place is horrible including Matt who was the bartender. Shady place as the first time I was there food was bad and swear i was slipt a drug. Tonight after work i drove 1.5 hrs and figured i have a drink and the place cut me off after 2 drinks. Then they had the balls to have public safety approach me which was nothing since I was fine. This place is a PA cult establishment and food is not good. I suggest they look for new ownership. On top of it Matt called in this communities Public Saftey rent a cops which confronted me but nothing they can do if you’re peaceful and not drunk. I emplore all to boycot this place moving forward. Never been treated so disrespectfully at any establishment.. Best part of thid establishment is that they do not answer phones to speak to a manager. They truly do not care and I emplore the manager to a discussion but they just don’t care
The service took way to long and the place was basically empty! We ordered wings that were barley seasoned, the pasta was gross, and the chili was the bare minimum of great. Drinks took over 15 minutes to arrive, and the food took well over 30. I do not recommend! We payed way to much for food that no one finished and we could tell it was just frozen
I gave 2 stars for the service and beautiful view. The service I have to admit was great, our waitress was polite and super efficient, nothing negative. The food was however horrible. The boneless wings tasted like Tyson chicken nuggets... Dry, tasteless, no seasoning whatsoever. Burgers were raw in the middle (both asked for medium well) and tasted terrible. Every other came tasting horrible... I guess the chicken parm was the only somewhat acceptable dish but still a 4/10.
Wanted to like this restaurant!! The view from the outside deck is really nice, our waiter was friendly and tried his best. But the food took 1.5 hrs to come out, and most of our dishes were pretty bland. We had younger children with us, so it was a challenging meal to keep them sitting there for that long especially since the food didnt come out till after their bedtime.Maybe going there before the dinner rush might have been different, but I wouldnt have high expectations!
Food is pretty decent. I dont know why I expected service to be slow. We sat, ordered, ate and was done in just over an hour and we had a party of 10 with 5 kids. My medium rare steak was closer to well done than I would have liked but other than that it was good
My girlfriend ordered a BLT and was terrible. I tried it myself 🤮
So sorry to have to post this. We love TOW but last night was a disaster! I guess not enough staff but I counted maybe 10-12 tables and 3 waitresses and one hostess. They said 15 minute wait and we waited 45(I would have left but hubby wanted to stay) because at that point i knew the food would take forever. Then we ordered and 20 minutes later they came back and said they lost our order so we had to put the order in again and then it took probably another 35 to 40 minutes for the appetizer and then the food wait- we were there for almost 2.5-3 hours total. My husband ordered the clams and they looked like Barbie clams they were so small. I did enjoy the tacos it was a special that weekend but I just feel so bad for them because they were rushing around and we always love going there. I just hope things get back to normal soon. All I’m asking is to tell us the truth about the wait time because if it was 1 hour wait we would have left
I had a birthday party for my wife last weekend at the restaurant and they did a great job with everything. Chef Mike prepared a special menu to go with our theme and the food and service were great. Everyone raved about the food and the dessert was great. Special thanks to Shalan and her team, they took care of everything from the beginning to the end.
Aside from some negative reviews Ive seen, we were in the area and we wished to go for the view and of course a bite to eat. The trees were so tall and there was very little depth to the view so that was just ok. The food was pretty decent for clubhouse type food. The waitress, Storm, was down to earth and made the dinner fun.
The location if you are staying in the area is great otherwise not worth the drive. We ate a grilled salad thing for an appetizer, forget the name, that was excellent. Stacked seasoned grilled vegetables. I had the Prime Rib the lady a steak. Both were tasty as well as the side dishes. I would consider them a bit too salty for my tastes. The first concern was the main course and the green salad came at the same time. Also no horse radish with the Prime Rib. I asked for some and it took some time. My side dishes were finished by the time I was able to eat my meat. The decor looks like a meeting hall or sports bar, but then it is also a ski lodge and sports bar.
Great place for dinner! Food was very good! Views are amazing-watched the sunset over the mountains! Service was wonderful! Everyone was very friendly from the time of making the reservation to being seated at the restaurant and then especially our server, Darlene. She even offered to take our picture outside with the incredible view of the mountains! Romantic dinner for our anniversary! Will definitely visit again when in town!
So I was looking at this place after I saw a friend went and was just seeing what others had to say and wow. The person answering these reviews is RUDE. The responses given to unsatisfied customers probably only makes them more unsatisfied. I literally wouldn’t even go here if I was invited for free. This is not how you should respond to unsatisfied guests. Also, a lot of comments are about the food and I did view the menu. It does in fact look mostly like bar/lounge/club house type food. Some of it did seem to look over priced for certain items. All I’m saying is you have people who read reviews and I’m one of them. Whoever is answering these reviews... I hope it’s really not the owner being that rude..::and awful. Responding to a guest that you get other five star reviews isn’t a response to their problem being resolved. Stating that it’s a community restaurant isn’t an answer to a hair being in the pasta smh this must be a joke right. The person writing these responses is surely going to drive away potential business.
Really pleasant experience. After covid redecorating and revamped menu with very reasonably priced, very good food.Dinner for 4 with drinks 100.00Great staff, friendly and efficient.Specials and entertainment.
Had the Pork Chop. Excellent quality and taste, cooked and flavored to perfection. Tender was able to cut it with my fork.
The food was absolutely garbage and the only good part of the experience was laughing at how pathetic the service was. Our waitress took a sip out of an alcoholic beverage that one of us ordered. Way over priced and if the 18% gratuity wasn’t mandatory I would’ve not tipped a cent. Ambiance was terrible and the restaurant was miserable. The hostess was rude and snappy with us because they are short staffed. Our bill was almost $100 and i wish they had just told us they were closed to save me the time and stomach pains. Terrible
One star for the view (although seating by the window doesn’t actually allow you to see much), and one for a burger, which was absolutely amazing. However, the rest of the food was bad to ok. The worst part though is that when we made a complaint (just pointed out an issue, didn’t ask for a replacement), management decided to make us a new plate of French onion soup. Not a bad idea, but the cheese was completely burnt. So knowing that it’s to appease a complaint, it was still cooked badly and the waitress brought it out to us and made a joke about our original complaint. Honestly, don’t see us ever coming back. Gorgeous view but little else.
Great dinner here with my wife on a Saturday night. The waitress with the short black hair was awesome. Great presence and really works hard big props to her. She made the experience fun.
Waitress was friendly but not really attentive. She never came back to ask if everything was OK. We had to keep getting her attention. Our burger was way raw. Had to return it.
My family & I had the greatest Sunday dinner, after a long day of hiking. This restaurant is truly an oasis of great food & outstanding service, especially Storm, who took care of us. Don’t miss the French Onion Soup!! Best anywhere!
The views amazing. The service lackluster and need to know how to pour a drink. Management present at the bar and chose that time to distract bartenders with a meeting. Again views amazing but this place is in desperate need of a “Bar Rescue”!!
The food was amazing and the price was great! The wait was well worth it but the best part was the staff! Everyone was so friendly and nice. Even understaffed like most places they handled it with a smile and professionally! Shalen (sorry if I spelled it wrong)provided excellent service! Thanks again! No bones like pizza! 😉
The pool is a great amenity, but the chlorine smell is very strong, indicating that the pool is not as clean as it could be. The snack bar is just downstairs and the hot coco, hot dogs, and fries are tasty, but it is a bit pricey. Overall it is a good thing!
Went last night to have dinner after traveling from NJ. We ordered mozzarella sticks, and nachos for appetizer. The mozzarella sticks were ok, but I’ve had better at the Dinner down the street from my house. The food was not good. We asked for steaks medium rare and they came out well done (also not a very good steak given the price). The Peppercorn tuna steak was a little better but also not worth the price. The only thing that was good was the service, hence the two stars). Piece of advice: Hire a better cook!!!!
Great staff, excellent seasonal mixed drink options.Skilled attentive bartenders
Everyone in our new community warned us that the food was not good at Top of the World, and they were right. The service is definitely friendly. But the roasted veggies and mozzarella appetizer was cold and not fully cooked. The eggplant and zucchini were chewy. My salad was ok but the dressing was very thick and very sweet, even though I asked for a balsamic vinaigrette. The shrimp on the salad was only four shrimp and they were a little dry. My fiances chicken quesadilla was dry, and the chicken inside was dry. It was also not hot. So we can now attest to the veracity of the rumors: TOW food is not good. Ive seen some positive reviews on Facebook,so Im wondering if there is some magical day or time when the food actually is good, but it is not Thursday night.
Here with my future in laws and my fiance. Its 7:30pm. We arrived at 5:45.. ordered the chicken wing specials... some apps and a soup.. The SOUP finally came out around 7:10!!! They ran out of wings we were told and couldnt get frozen ones thawed out. Ok.. but the soup? The dip? The pizza? ( which finally came and was burnt)..Waitresses tried and did their best but this is a horror show. STILL WAITING FOR BONELESS WINGS THEY WERE SUBSTITUING
Dont come here often for food. Had loaded nachos recently, and they werent that good. Toppings were mostly on one side. Cheese was only partially melted. Not very appetizing. The bartenders are friendly. Ill try something else again and see how it is.
Great food and drinks. Service was decent, of a bit slow. Server disappeared for a bit and we had to go find her to ask for another round of drinks. The place itself is really nice with some good views; especially at sundown.
HOLY COW!!! Overpriced for very mediocre food 😐 I was not impressed with anything but the view. I will say that the view is beautiful if you are lucky enough to get a window seat. They did not have outside seating when we went. The waitress was fantastic!!
Were camping in the area and used Google maps to find restaurants nearby. We didnt realize that this place is in a gated community. We called the restaurant and asked if they were open to the public. They called the gatehouse and arranged for a pass. Were glad that they did. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. Were going to have to make this a regular stop when camping in the Poconos.
Prices were average for a nice restaurant. Expected linen napkins for the prices & the decor style instead of paper. Service was great. Most appetizers & entrees were delicious. My Chicken florentine I believe it was, was bland, the mozzarella was a skimpy few chunks, the sauce & spinach had no flavor. Pork parm & burgers were fantastic! Delux nachos had no beef which was disappointing.
Our server was pretty bad. However, the rest of the staff was great. The food is getting better.
After a exhausting day of swimming and sleigh riding :), we stopped by this restaurant. It may look outdated, but the food was great. We munched on appetizers and the prices were def affordable. I would go again.
Went to the top of the hill restaurant with my wife for lunch from the moment we came at the gate we were greeted by security the guy was very nice and helpful. Went to the restaurant it’s really nice. It’s clean we were greeted with smiles and our server was excellent her name is storm. Great service and food was great we will definitely be back and may purchase a little getaway home here.
I like the atmosphere, the staff, the view, and the grub. And you cant beat the convenience if you live in Saw Creek! The burgers are particularly good.
Pleasant, casual atmosphere. Good food and full bar service. Located inside Saw Creek Estates in Bushkill. We were with folks who live in this gated community, but its my understanding that theyll let you thru the gate if you arent a resident if you make reservations at the restaurant ahead of time. Double check on that, though, may be some restrictions. Also, youll need a GPS to find the restaurant, its located deep within the community at the top of the mountain and cell service is iffy!
I’ve never seen service like that in my life ! The waitress was so rude , definitely didn’t want to be there. Food was cold and cups were filthy , didn’t even take a sip. To top all that there was hair in my pasta and the hamburger was a hockey puck when i askedFor a medium burger ... McDonald’s would’ve been a Better pick. Sorry not sorry.
Food is OK, service is spotty. I asked for condiments at the table and they never arrived, so I had to grab them myself from another table. Wait staff is pleasant, just not skilled. Tables and chair are dirty, and dirty windowsills too. Even the entranceway (stairs) is loaded with dead leaves, cobwebs. Not a good enticement to come inside. I hope there is improvement soon cause it looks like saw creek is losing money on this deal.
Update was back at the top on Mondays buggers and beers finally they got rid of the nasty bartender no more attitude a bunch of us will start going back in Mondays since Jackie is bartending its fun again they have made so upgrades like big tvs they look great. And the buggers were yummy. Summer is here so that means we will be planning more things,at the top since they replaced that bartender Mondays and Saturdays music tiki bar time and Sunday tacos cant wait. The food could be a lot better and so can the prices Mondays dont bother unless you want a rude bartender who is nosey and full of attitude and in Everybodys business! The wings arent great but edible Thursday night steaks are over priced and arent very tasty. But jackie and Sam are great so it makes going nice to see happy people instead of some of the staff. Weekend has some entertainment some is good some isnt my style but all the same its not like a place can be to everyones liking all of the time.
At 5pm on a Sunday (today) theyre out of half the menu. WTF... manager should be considered for removal. Would not recommend at all. They didnt even let us know until after we ordered drinks and appetizers. They when the food came out it was for a different table. Not well managed this weekend.
It feels great 👍 to know that Saw Creek Estates Community has a very good restaurant 👌
I have lived in Saw Creek Estates for about 4 years now and I must say that the restaurant has changed for the worst. This past September I came in, asked for a table for one. When the waitress walked me to my seat I said politely told her that the table was dirty. I seated my self at a semi-clean table, I cleaned it my self. At this time the restaurant was not crowed. So I asked her to bring me a Rubin sandwich. I also asked her for a glass of water. Not only did I not get any utensils to eat with but no water as well. I ate my sandwich, received no water, any utensils or napkins. I finished my meal, she never returned except to collect the check at her register by the entrance. Buy this time I returned to her check out station paid her and left no tip.
Being from Long Island where there is a 5 star restaurant on every corner, you do get used to even food at the deli being top notch. We went to the TOTW this weekend and right off the bat were concerned that at 3 in the afternoon on a Saturday there was not a sole in the place. Thats awkward....The decor was dated and a bit grungy. We had a few cold beers and figured wed play it safe with wings and burgers. The wings were pretty lame....very salty and more vinegar than heat....my chicken sandwich was small on a giant bun, the girls had burgers that were kind of like what youd get off the steam plate in the High School cafeteria. The service was good, itd better be with no one else in the place. I think they should capitalize on the location, improve the decor to a more Pocano/Adirondack feel of warmth etc, shrink the menu and do the staples top notch and youll have a great place.Keep the beer cold Jacquie!
Tasty takeout! We got a bottle of their house wine to-go, or you could also pick up a six-pack. Very convenient if youre living/staying in Saw Creek Estates. 5-star service--Jackie is awesome!
Decent service and pretty good food. Outdoor seating is available that views the over the pool and is a good spot to enjoy a sunset. The Top of the World tiki bar outside at the pool has good prices and good service.
My husband and I have been coming here for years, we absolutely love the staff and the atmosphere. The food is worth the price and never disappoints, unlike other places in the area like the Big A!Might not be a 5 star establishment but it feels like home every time we come here! Good drinks, great people and good food without the upcharge!
The view was great! service was okay, girl was new and came to the table too much.. but the food was very pricey and not enough to fill my toddler, it wasn’t horrible but for a 100$ dinner i am pretty bummed out
This place is a little off the beaten path, but well worth the trip. I had the Pork Loin Chops w/chorizo cornbread stuffing and Madeira pan sauce - excellent! The service is quite good and the prices are lower than comparable restaurants in the area. The Top, as locals call it, is in a private community, but the public is always welcome.
Much improved over the past few years! We expect to see it continue with new chef and servers.
Food was very good and service was great also. We started with Asian dumplings which were very tasty. I got the Top burger and my wife got the Turkey club. Both were very good and filling as well. Make sure you call ahead as this is in a gated community and they will call the gate to let you in once you arrive.
They let elders dictate food nasty & service suck. My wife & I brought our home in Saw Creek been there a couple times & had the same experience. 15-20 mins for a drink, while other people would walk up & served immediately
A beautiful, recently updated restaurant and bar located near the ski lift at Sawcreek. Top of the Workd has great burgers, wraps, appetizers and entrees. The atmosphere is relaxed and fun.
We sat down. 7 people at bar. no service. bartender went to leave bar and go out on floor. i asked him if he was the bartender and hd said yes but he had business to attend to on the floor. he returned to the bar and ignoring us walked into the kitchen . we had enough of being ignored and decided to take our dinner and drink orders someplace else.ps the beer is lovely where we are right now
Nice place , disappointing food and service. When you pay $9.50 for cheesesteak egg rolls and only get 2 very small ones :(Food is slow to come out and when it does its not very good. Paid $135 for subpar bar food dinner.. They have to potential to be so much better I wish they could see that. Been there twice and there is never alot of people.. I cant help but think the food has alot to do with it.. I hope they can change!
St Pattys Day Buffet, food was good, no complaints. I also think they are handling the current health crisis very well providing a safe and home feeling comfortable atmosphere.
We had an amazing time, the food was great, service was excellent, nice place with spectacular views...we loved it and will definitely go back when in the area. Highly recommended.
We live in Saw Creek and we go their all the time. Service is good, food, drinks and staff. They make you feel like family. When we have guest that where we take them. Thank you Top of the World.
Food:Ordered chicken wing (good), steak (not good, steak is chewy) and chicken parmigiana (just okay) last is choc bomb (great)Service:Just okay (she was chewing while serve us)
Great music. Horrible food. Poor service but they tried.
I give them 1 star cause I cant give them less.We waited 1 hour for the dinner and it the food was not good.
Very slow service, workers stand around
Food was a small amount and people not very friendly. Spent $24 and got 6 small green tomato slices . Had two empty large fism containers 3 slices in each. Very unsatisfying
Its unfortunate that the restaurant and grounds were closed today, however, the grounds seemed to be kept very nicely. Hopefully, we will be able to get to see them again soon in the spring time!!
Festive atmosphere, attentive friendly service, however meal gave me heartburn...
The service was good but I asked for a well done steak but not burnt and it was burnt black and hard on the bottoms and they had ran out but the mash was good and the drinks and the ribs.
Great place in the Poconos. Wonderful service and catered to vegan requests.
Moderately priced and the food is always great. Not only a.huge menu but still good variety. Staff always friendly and helpful
Great place with great food! Prices are reasonable for the nice views and ambiance
Waiter was very efficient. Food was fantastic. Very child friendly as well.
The food isnt all that good and its kind of overpriced. There are limited nonalcoholic beverages, and the waiting staff is very annoying. They check on you every 5 minutes.
Very quiet restaurant. Selection at bar is limited on tap beer and mixers. Food is typical of a bar type setting. Nice staff.
Limited menu for a Saturday night. Service was good but price for chicken fingers and fries should be less than $14.
Food was good. Servings were as little small for the price. The waiter we got was not very good
Excellent food and environment. Very friendly waitress.. Will be going back again on my next visit to the area.
If there was a - I would give the food a minus 3, if my car club has their Christmas party there next year I wont be going.
The food was great, but the staff were all sweetheart. I felt so welcomed.
The place is.great.The food is good when I am in Pennsylvania I stopped there. I always enjoy myself. The service is excellent.
I have not visited this restaurant in over a year. My understanding is that they have changed management and I believe owners as well. But stay tune I shall return with an up date when I visit next time.
Good food, nice portions, served hot, but painfully slow. Ordered 5 sandwiches for lunch and a salad to go, and it took close to 40 minutes, really??
Such a horrible service!!!the lady (hostess) she refused us to give a table and told us to wait for 20mins, when the floor was literally empty, I’ve never seen such a rude service!
Excellent service and food🤩
Love this place I dont go often but when I do always get the top of the world burger.
Food was great! Even though they were short staffed, our server Shalan was great!
Soo Delish!
Wife and I had the prime rib on Valentines Day. Friendly staff and atmosphere. Food was perfect.
The salmon was off the chart scrumptiously delicious & the service is good. Great place for Karaoke 😁KK
Foods very good, service is great, people friendly.
Absolutely love their prime rib. Nice quiet scenery. Great food and the prices arent that bad either.
The waitress was nice I just didnt like that she put her fingers in my cup to grab it for a refill :/
Fast and efficient service, and the menu has something for everyone. Easy choice for a good meal
Great service, and the good was great ....very pleasant and helpful workers
Great place in the community to grab a bite and a drink with friends. Prices are very reasonable.
Good burgers and steaks! It is located in a private community but it is open to the public, just state you are here for the restaurant.
Ordered the tuna steak and it was cooked just right. Drinks were fairly priced.
Great staff had a good meal nice conversations.
Exceptionally delicious adult drinks. Food is above expectation. I recommend for this area 👌
My friends and I had a great time. The service and staff were great, especially our server Patrick...Kudos!!
We only had drinks and appetizers that were good. Very nice location.
Friendly staff with a beautiful view of the pool and mountain. Enjoyed our meal.
Service is amazing and the Clams are to die for! Great family ambiance and the view of the mountains is breath taking!
Order the clams. The sauce is to die for. The service and atmosphere is friendly and light.
The bar service is better than the table service, but the drinks are great and the specials are always fresh.
No issues. Cool place. Food was good. Would go back. Thank you!
I havent ate there yet but I heard good things
Rack of ribs were the toughest I have ever had.
The views were great, only visited though, did not eat or drink this time.
Came by to order pickup....food quality has improved. The dumplings were amazing!!!!
The food was average, nothing to really rave about. For a place that tries to be upscale for the area, the quality of the dishes falls short.
It has many activities and the food is okay i would just say try to add a little seasoning overall the restaurant.
We love this community and the Top of the World is the cherry on top. Great service, tasty food and drinks.
Food was ok drinks were great
5 persons allowed at a time in your party and you must first make reservations for the sports complex within this community.
Food is decent. Staff is nice. Limited menu choices.
The service and the costumers were fantastic and extremely wonderfully friendly
Great food an excellent bartenders, reasonably priced.
We really enjoyed the food and the service was great as well.
Good bartender if he would stay behind the bar..waited forever to get a drink due to no one being behind the bar
Grilled eggplant with balsamic glaze as well as the finger sandwiches are so tasty.
We went on Friday nite they had band and li itef menu or buffet.
Great food...nice friendly environment. Storm was amazing!
Beautiful views average service average food the driver was very scenic
Great Restaurant! Great People! Great food! Highly recommend!
Unpleasant service! Lazy staff , if you are hungry do yourself favor and go somewhere else
Atmosphere feels like north korea or ussr
You cannot go there! It is in a gated community and you need to be invited in. Very disappointed that this was not written anywhere on Google or anything.
Nice and simple place to relax and enjoy some decent food with a drink. Need WiFi. 😂
Awful food. Not a great view. And overall underwhelming.
This restaurant is the best place to have dinner people are amazing
Friendly staff, great location, but good was not great.
One of my favorite spot love the staff and the food and great entertainment
Great food, drinks and amazing vibe
Good service, great view.
Kitchen close at 8?.....What a restaurant we been told to get sandwiches from nearby Wawa.....
Fun, family oriented, and friendly environment. So much fun in one place
IT NEEDS TO BE REMODELED AND THE FLOORS ARE STICKY AND DIRTY AND THE KITCHEN IS DIRTY
